The PASEC precalcining system for preheater kilns is an energy efficient design developed by personnel at VAI in 1982, company that focused on complete cement plant designs. A management buy-out in 1992 resulted in the formation of ACT and later was renamed as OMAG by the founder and owner A. Balci. The PASEC system has undergone continuous improvements and OMAG 1 and OMAG 2 are patented. Nuh Cimento in Turkey has been using this system since 1989, when the first kiln live was expanded and then in 1995 kiln line 11 was successfully converted. And in 2002 OMAG was awarded the overall planning of the third kiln line.
