Using phase delays at spaced stations and satellite observations in the magnetosphere during two events, we have studied azimuthal propagation of resonant bursts of geomagnetic pulsations in the Pc5 range. We have also examined propagation of equivalent current vortices during these events. It has been found that the pulsations, observed in the magnetosphere and ionosphere, and the equivalent current vortices in the ionosphere propagate in the azimuthal direction from the dayside to the nightside. Propagation velocities according to ground-based observations are 5–25 km/s; according to satellite observations, 114–236 km/s. Propagation velocities according to satellite observations do not exceed the Alfvén velocity in the magnetosphere, which is 620–1006 km/s. According to data from various instruments, there are signatures of fast magnetosonic and Alfvén waves at a time in one of the events on the satellite. This clearly reflects the transformation of these waves. The geomagnetic latitude of registration of vortex centers coincides with the latitude of the maximum amplitude of geomagnetic pulsations (field line resonances) and decreases by ~15° toward the early hours of MLT. The observed dynamics of Pc5 pulsations and vortices is assumed to reflect MHD wave propagation in the magnetosphere.

The need for e-learning in modern Russia is caused by the rapid development of informatization, digitalization, information and communication technologies, the creation of a global environment for mutual integration of cultures and disciplines, as well as the formation of open continuous education, which is the basis of a post-industrial (information) society. These processes stimulate an active search for creative educational practices that meet the requirements of the information society. A modern specialist must have a certain amount of knowledge that will allow him to learn constantly, improve his skills and abilities, self-develop and self-actualize in order to keep up with the time of changes in the information society. In the framework of the modern educational paradigm, the student is considered as a subject of knowledge, not an object of pedagogical influence. In the early -- mid-2010s, this is actively promoted by electronic learning (e-learning, EL), which should be used in various educational organizations. E-learning allows integrating into the world scientific community, becoming subjects of interaction between cultures, including the exchange of spiritual values. Implementation of EL is one of the key tasks in the context of modernization of national education. The term "electronic learning" is translated into Russian in various ways. The most popular options are: "distance learning/education", "mobile learning", and "virtual learning". The European Commission interprets "e-learning" as "using new multimedia and Internet technologies to improve the quality of learning by improving access to resources and services, as well as remote knowledge sharing and collaboration". In this study, the concept of "e-learning" will correspond to the phrase "electronic learning". This is an educational process based on interactive electronic means of storing and providing information: the Internet, corporate networks, and CDs.

The article presents an analysis of the role of information and methodological support for the process of valuation of real estate objects in the general research procedure. In the context of modern regulation of valuation activities in the Russian Federation, the structure and content of general and special federal valuation standards are disclosed, as well as the main problems that have a negative impact on the scope and content of the study aimed at determining the value of assets. It is noted that the issues of the validity of the applied approaches and methods of real estate valuation are closely interconnected with the level of credibility, reliability and sufficiency of external, internal, analytical and regulatory information, on the basis of which various stages of calculating the value of objects are carried out. The proposed solution to the problems of information and methodological support for evaluation studies is aimed at increasing the level of reliability and validity of the final cost of objects. The authors propose a system of price-forming factors and indicators, the consideration of which, when implementing various assessment methods, is necessary in the context of the transformation of the national and regional economy.

Phenylalanine hydroxylase (PAH) is an iron enzyme catalyzing the oxidation of l-Phe to l-Tyr during phenylalanine catabolism. Dysfunction of PAH leads to the debilitating condition phenylketonuria (PKU), which prompted research into the structure and function of PAH over the last 50 years. Despite intensive study, there is no consensus on the atomistic details of the mechanism of O2 binding and splitting by wild-type (WT) PAH and how it varies with PKU-inducing mutations, Arg158Gln and Glu280Lys. We studied structures involved in a proposed mechanism for the WT and mutants using extensive mixed quantum-classical molecular dynamics simulations. Simulations reveal a previously unobserved dynamic coupling between the active site and the mutation sites, suggesting how they can affect the catalytic performance of PAH. Furthermore, the effect of the coupling on the PAH structure agrees with and expands our understanding of the experimentally observed differences in activity between the WT and mutants.

This study presents an air quality monitoring system that employs the Arduino Uno microcontroller. The system is augmented with a moving average filter and data fusion techniques from BME680 and CCS811 sensors, which are designed to process and combine data from these sensors. The system was tested and analyzed empirically across a range of residential environments in order to validate its efficacy. The findings indicated that the typical IAQ level in a bedroom was approximately 20 units. However, this level increased significantly, reaching 140 units, within minutes after the introduction of a 17% perfume spray. In contrast, the use of an aromatic diffuser resulted in a smaller increase in IAQ to 40 units, which returned to normal levels after ventilation. Moreover, the analysis demonstrated that the kitchen and bathroom exhibited inferior air quality in comparison to the bedroom. This was evidenced by elevated VOC and humidity levels, which were observed to be 10–20% higher due to the combined effects of household activities and inadequate ventilation. This study makes a significant contribution to the field of air quality monitoring by proposing a solution that employs sensor technology and data processing methods to enhance the quality of life within residential spaces. Using synchrotron radiation, a comparative VUV excitation study of YAG ceramics doped with Eu3+ and Cr3+ ions under VUV excitation (10.5–3.7 eV) at 9 K was conducted in this work. Both ceramics exhibit distinct excitation peaks in the VUV region, indicating high-energy transitions related to the internal electronic levels of the dopants and interband transitions within the YAG matrix. For YAG:Eu, the main excitation peaks at 6–7 eV correspond to transitions within the 4f-shell of Eu3+ and Eu3+-O2− charge transfer states, showing weak dependence on the crystal field and high energy conversion efficiency. In contrast, YAG:Cr shows broad excitation bands due to transitions between levels influenced by strong crystal field interactions, resulting in lower luminescence efficiency. The study highlights the importance of crystal structure and dopant interactions in determining the spectral characteristics of YAG-based ceramics, offering potential for their application in advanced optoelectronic devices. We report the results of synthesis of zinc selenide (ZnSe) nanocrystals into SiO2/Si track templates formed by irradiation with 200 MeV Xe ions up to a fluence of 107 ions/cm2. Zinc selenide nanocrystals were obtained by chemical deposition from the alkaline aqueous solution. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopy, and electrical measurements were used for characterization of synthesized ZnSe/SiO2nanoporous/Si nanocomposites. XRD data for as-deposited precipitates revealed the formation of ZnSe nanocrystals with cubic crystal structure, spatial syngony F-43m (216). According to non-empirical calculations using GGA-PBE and HSE06 functionals, ZnSe crystal is a direct-zone crystal with a minimum bandgap width of 2.36 eV and anisotropic electronic distribution. It was found that a thermal treatment of synthesized nanocomposites at 800 °C results in an increase in ZnSe nanocrystallites size as well as an increase in emission intensity of created precipitates in a broad UV-VIS spectra range. However, vacuum conditions of annealing still do not completely prevent the oxidation of zinc selenide, and a formation of hexagonal ZnO phase is registered in the annealed samples. By using DFT simulations employing the GGA/PBE and LDA/CA-PZ approximations, the effects of the Hubbard U correction on the crystal structure, electronic properties, and chemical bands of the cubic phase (Pm3̅m) of STO were investigated. Our findings showed that the cubic phase (Pm3̅m) STO’s band gaps and lattice parameters/volume are in reasonably good accordance with the experimental data, supporting the accuracy of our model. By applying the DFT + U method, we were able to obtain band gaps that were in reasonably good agreement with the most widely used experimental band gaps of the cubic (Pm3̅m) phase of STO, which are 3.20 eV, 3.24 eV, and 3.25 eV. This proves that the Hubbard U correction can overcome the underestimation of the band gaps induced by both GGA/PBE and LDA/CA-PZ approximations. On the other hand, the Sr-O and Ti-O bindings appear predominantly ionic and covalent, respectively, based on the effective valence charges, electron density distribution, and partial density of states analyses. In an attempt to enhance the performance of STO for new applications, these results might also be utilized as theoretical guidance, benefitting from our precise predicted values of the gap energies of the cubic phase (Pm3̅m). We propose a technique for the wafer-level testing of the gate dielectrics of metal–insulator–semiconductor (MIS) devices by the high-field injection of electrons into the dielectric using a mode of increasing injection current density up to a set level. This method provides the capability to control a change in the charge state of the gate dielectric during all the testing. The proposed technique makes it possible to assess the integrity of the thin dielectric and at the same time to control the charge effects of its degradation. The method in particular can be used for manufacturing processes to control integrated circuits (ICs) based on MIS structures. In the paper, we propose an advanced algorithm of the Bounded J-Ramp testing of the gate dielectric and receive its approval when monitoring the quality of the gate dielectrics of production-manufactured MIS devices. We found that the maximum value of positive charge obtained when tested by the proposed method was a value close to that obtained when the charge was injected into the dielectric under a constant current with a Bounded J value despite large differences in the rate of degradation of the dielectric. This study focuses on the wet chemical synthesis of AlxGa1−xAs nanostructures, highlighting how different deposition conditions affect the film morphology and material properties. Electrochemical etching was used to texture GaAs substrates, enhancing mechanical adhesion and chemical bonding. Various deposition regimes, including voltage switching, gradual voltage increase, and pulsed voltage, were applied to explore their impact on the film growth mechanisms. SEM analysis revealed distinct morphologies, EDX confirmed variations in aluminum content, Raman spectroscopy detected structural disorders, and XRD analysis demonstrated peak position shifts. The findings emphasize the versatility and cost-effectiveness of wet electrochemical methods for fabricating high-quality AlxGa1−xAs films with tailored properties, showing potential for optoelectronic devices, high-efficiency solar cells, and other advanced semiconductor applications. This study presents theoretical and experimental investigations into the electron and hole color centers in BaFBr crystals, characterizing their electronic and optical properties. Stoichiometric BaFBr crystals grown by the Steber method were used in the experiments. Radiation defects in BaFBr crystals were created by irradiation with 147 MeV 84Kr ions with up to fluences of 1010–1014 ions/cm2. The formation of electron color centers (F(F−), F2(F−), F2(Br−)) and hole aggregates was experimentally established by optical absorption spectroscopy. Performed measurements are compared with theoretical calculations. It allows us to determine the electron transition mechanisms and investigate the processes involved in photoluminescence emission in Eu-doped BaFBr materials to enhance the understanding of the fundamental electronic structure and properties of electron and hole color centers formed in BaFBr crystals. The results of a study of the optical, electrophotographic and holographic parameters of As-Se condensates from the prehistory of the original bulk materials are presented. It has been established that the electrophotographic parameters of freshly deposited As40Se60 layers change significantly with temperature; the dependences of the maximum charging potential (U0) and the half-decay time of the potential (τ1/2) of electrophotographic As40Se60 layers in the dark on the processing temperature of the melt of the starting material are shown. The dependence of the half-life of the potential in the dark, as well as the properties of bulk samples, has an extremum in the region of Tsub~500°C. The correlation between the dependences of the properties of bulk samples and the electrophotographic parameters of the layers on Tsub indicates that the structural features of the source material in the deposition mode used affect the structure of the films. The development of hydrogen energy is capable of solving a number of important issues that modern society is facing, including global warming and various environmental impacts. Currently, there is an intensive search for natural sources of hydrogen as well as low-carbon techniques for mass production of hydrogen from natural gas, associated petroleum gas, and water. In parallel, efforts to develop technologies for the subsequent management of hydrogen are underway, and the creation of its safe and efficient storage is one of the highest priority goals. For the transportation and storage of hydrogen today, a number of solutions are offered, each of which has both positive and negative aspects. The boron nitride family of materials with high thermal and chemical stability, variability of morphologies, and flexibility of structure has been considered as a candidate for efficient hydrogen storage. This review offers to familiarize readers with the progress in the research and application of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN), as well as BN-based materials in comparison with other materials, as promising hydrogen storage. Experimental and theoretical data obtained for different morphologies and internal structures were reviewed in relevance to the material's sorption capacity with respect to hydrogen. Various approaches to improve the efficiency of hydrogen storage were analyzed, and the highest storage capabilities published were mentioned. Thus, BN-based materials are very promising as hydrogen storage, even for an automotive application, but the development of new mass production technologies should be carried out. Today, BaFBr crystals activated by europium ions are used as detectors that store absorbed energy in metastable centers. In these materials, the image created by X-ray irradiation remains stable in the dark for long periods at room temperature. As a result, memory image plates are created, and they are extended to other types of ionizing radiation as well. Despite significant progress towards X-ray storage and readout of information, the mechanisms of these processes have not been fully identified to date, which has hindered the efficiency of this class of phosphors. In this study, using photoluminescence (PL), optical absorption (OA), Raman spectroscopy (RS), and atomic force microscopy (AFM), the luminescence of oxygen vacancy defects to BaFBr crystals irradiated with 147 MeV 84Kr and 24.5 MeV 14N ions at 300 K to fluences (1010–1014) ion/cm2 was investigated. BaFBr crystals were grown by the Shteber method on a special device. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) analysis revealed the presence of Ba, Br, F, and O. The effect of oxygen impurities present in the studied crystals was considered. The analysis of the complex PL band, depending on the fluence and type of ions, showed the formation of three types of oxygen vacancy defects. Macrodefects (tracks) and aggregates significantly influence the luminescence of oxygen vacancy defects. The creation of hillocks and tracks in BaFBr crystals irradiated with 147 MeV 84Kr ions is shown for the first time. Raman spectra analysis confirmed that BaFBr crystals were amorphized by 147 MeV 84Kr ions due to track overlap, in contrast to samples irradiated with 24.5 MeV 14N ions. Raman and absorption spectra demonstrated the formation of hole and electron aggregate centers upon swift heavy ions irradiation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
