Within the framework of general relativity, we explore the interior of the Schwarzschild black hole before complete collapse occurs, finding that the exterior is perfectly compatible with a source much more complex than a pointlike mass. We provide a set of inner geometries for singular and regular black holes that smoothly joint the Schwarzschild exterior at the horizon $r=h=2{\cal M}$, and which can therefore be regarded as suitable initial conditions for collapse. In particular, the regular solutions might be an alternative to the Schwarzschild black hole as the final stage of gravitational collapse, and thus useful to study the validity of general relativity in environments of high curvature., Comment: 6 pages

The belief still persists, at least for an important part of the community, that in general relativity the cosmological constant $\Lambda$ must remain immaculate. However, Bianchi identities show that $\Lambda$ could acquire local properties in the presence of matter, i.e., $\Lambda\rightarrow\,\Lambda(x^\mu)$. In this paper we go even further, and we show that a non-uniform vacuum energy does not even require coexistence with any additional form of matter-energy, nor of any theory beyond general relativity, at least for extreme environments, such as the proximity of a black hole., Comment: 5 pages, 5 figures

We interpret the cosmological constant as the energy of the vacuum, and under a minimum amount of assumptions, we show that it is deformed in the vicinity of a black hole. This leads us to reexamine the Kerr-de Sitter solution. We provide a new solution, simpler and geometrically richer, which shows the impact of the rotation in form of a warped curvature. We introduce a systematic and direct procedure to generate hairy rotating black holes by deforming a spherically symmetric seed solution. We develop our analysis in the context of the gravitational decoupling approach, without resorting to the Newman-Janis algorithm. As examples of possible applications, we investigate how the Kerr black hole solution is modified by a surrounding fluid with conserved energy-momentum tensor. We find non-trivial extensions of the Kerr and Kerr-Newman black holes with primary hair. We prove that a rotating and charged black hole can have the same horizon as Kerr's, Schwarzschild's or Reissner-Nordstr\"om's, thus showing possible observational effects of matter around black holes., Comment: 11 pages, 4 figures

Black holes with hair represented by generic fields surrounding the central source of the vacuum Schwarzschild metric are examined under the minimal set of requirements consisting of i) the existence of a well defined event horizon and ii) the strong or dominant energy condition for the hair outside the horizon. We develop our analysis by means of the gravitational decoupling approach. We find that trivial deformations of the seed Schwarzschild vacuum preserve the energy conditions and provide a new mechanism to evade the no-hair theorem based on a primary hair associated with the charge generating these transformations. Under the above conditions i) and ii), this charge consistently increases the entropy from the minimum value given by the Schwarzschild geometry. As a direct application, we find a non-trivial extension of the Reissner-Nordstrom black hole showing a surprisingly simple horizon. We employ the minimal geometric deformation approach to gravitational decoupling (MGD-decoupling) in order to generate an exact anisotropic and non-uniform version of the ultracompact Schwarzschild star, or 'gravastar', proposed by Mazur and Mottola. This new system represents an ultracompact configuration of radius $R_{S}=2\cal{M}$ whose interior metric can be matched smoothly to a conformally deformed Schwarzschild exterior. We show how to decoupling two spherically symmetric and static gravitational sources through the most general possible extension of the so-called Minimal Geometric Deformation-decoupling. We use the extension of the Minimal Geometric Deformation approach, recently developed to investigate the exterior of a self-gravitating system in the Braneworld, to identified a master solution for the deformation undergone by the radial metric component when time deformations are produced by bulk gravitons. A specific form for the temporal deformation is used to generate a new exterior solution with a tidal charge $Q$. The main feature of this solution is the presence of higher-order terms in the tidal charge, thus generalizing the well known tidally charged solution. In the context of the Randall-Sundrum braneworld, the minimal geometric deformation approach (MGD) is used to generate an exact analytic interior solution to four-dimensional effective Einstein's field equations for a spherically symmetric compact distribution. This solution represents the braneworld version of the well known Tolman IV solution in General Relativity. In the context of the Randall-Sundrum braneworld, the minimal geometric deformation approach (MGD) is used to generate a new physically acceptable interior solution to Einstein's field equations for a spherically symmetric compact distribution. This new solution is used to elucidate the role of exterior Weyl stresses from bulk gravitons on compact stellar distributions. We study stars in the brane-world by employing the principle of minimal geometric deformation and find that brane-world black hole metrics with a tidal charge are consistently recovered in a suitable limit. This procedure allows us to determine the tidal charge as a function of the black hole ADM mass (and brane tension). The first exact interior solution to Einstein's field equations for a static and non-uniform braneworld star with local and non-local bulk terms is presented. It is shown that the bulk Weyl scalar ${\cal U}(r)$ is always negative inside the stellar distribution, in consequence it reduces both the effective density and the effective pressure. It is found that the anisotropy generated by bulk gravity effect has an acceptable physical behaviour inside the distribution. In the context of the braneworld, a method to find consistent solutions to Einstein's field equations in the interior of a spherically symmetric, static and non uniform stellar distribution with Weyl stresses is developed. This method, based in the fact that any braneworld stellar solution must have the general relativity solution as a limit, produces a constraint which reduces the degrees of freedom on the brane. Hence the non locality and non closure of the braneworld equations can be overcome. The constraint found is physically interpreted as a necessary condition to regain general relativity, and a particular solution for it is used to find an exact and physically acceptable analytical internal solution to no-uniform stellar distributions on the brane. It is shown that such an exact solution is possible due to the fact that bulk corrections to pressure, density and a metric component are a null source of anisotropic effects on the brane. We study the evolution of radiating and viscous fluid spheres assuming an additional homothetic symmetry on the spherically simmetric space--time. We match a very simple solution to the symmetry equations with the exterior one (Vaidya). We then obtain a system of two ordinary differential equations which rule the dynamics, and find a self--similar collapse which is shear--free and with a barotropic equation of state. It is shown that a double compactified D=11 supermembrane with non trivial wrapping may be formulated as a symplectic non-commutative gauge theory on the world volume. The symplectic non commutative structure is intrinsically obtained from the symplectic 2-form on the world volume defined by the minimal configuration of its hamiltonian. The gauge transformations on the symplectic fibration are generated by the area preserving diffeomorphisms on the world volume. It is shown that the dual of the double compactified D=11 Supermembrane and a suitable compactified D=10 Super 4D-brane with nontrivial wrapping on the target space may be formulated as noncommutative gauge theories. The Poisson bracket over the world-volume is intrinsically defined in terms of the minima of the hamiltonian of the theory, which may be expressed in terms of a non degenerate 2-form. A deformation of the Poisson bracket in terms of the Moyal brackets is then performed. A noncommutative gauge theory in terms of the Moyal star bracket is obtained. It is shown that all these theories may be described in terms of symplectic connections on symplectic fibrations. The hamiltonian formulation of the supersymmetric closed 2-brane dual to the double compactified D=11 closed supermembrane is presented. The formulation is in terms of two U(1) vector fields related by the area preserving constraint of the SUSY 2-brane. Stable solutions of the field equations, which are local minima of the hamiltonian, are found. In the semiclassical approximation around the stable solutions the action becomes the reduction of D=10 Super-Maxwell to the worldvolume. The solutions carry RR charges as a type of magnetic charges associated with the worldvolume vector field.
