Viena pagrindinių mokytojo užduočių yra sukurti mokinius įtraukiančią ir jų mokymosi motyvaciją stiprinančią aplinką. Vienas iš būdų tam pasiekti yra mokymosi įprasminimas mokiniams. Tyrimu buvo siekta išsiaiškinti, kaip mokytojas kuria prasmingą mokymosi aplinką pradinių klasių mokiniams, siekdamas skatinti jų mokymosi motyvaciją. 8 pradinių klasių mokytojai dalyvavo focus grupės interviu. Indukcinės tyrimo duomenų analizės metu išskirtos penkios teminės kategorijos, atspindinčios mokytojų kuriamos mokinių mokymąsi įprasminančios ir motyvaciją skatinančios aplinkos bruožus: mokinių „palydėjimas“ į sėkmės ir džiaugsmo patyrimą; mokinių individualumo pripažinimas ir puoselėjimas mokant; mokytojo asmeninio pavyzdžio demonstravimas; socialinės sąveikos klasėje, grįstos mokinių bendradarbiavimu, kūrimas; veikimas kartu įvairiose aplinkose. Tyrimas atskleidė, kad mokytojų kuriama aplinka yra orientuota į mokinį, todėl mokytojai, pirmiausia, siekia suprasti mokinio poreikius, išsiaiškinti nenoro mokymosi priežastis ir tada palydi mokinius į sėkmės ir džiaugsmo patyrimą, nes laiko tai svarbiausiu mokymosi aplinkos komponentu siekiant mokinių motyvacijos augimo ir įsitraukimo į mokymosi veiklas. Pradinių klasių mokinių ugdymo procese pirmenybė turėtų būti teikiama asmeninėms reikšmėms, susijusiomis su mokymusi, – giluminėmis ir/ ar emocinėmis būsenoms, kad mokiniai įsitrauktų ir norėtų mokytis tolesniuose mokyklos koncentruose ir visą gyvenimą. The qualitative research aimed to reveal how a teacher creates a meaningful learning environment for primary school students in order to stimulate their motivation for learning. Eight primary school teachers participated in the focus group interviews. During the inductive analysis of the research data, five thematic categories were identified, that reflected the types of teachers activities encouraging students to learn and creating preconditions for meaningful learning of students. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti mokinių įsitraukimą ir pasitenkinimą mokymusi taikant ,,atverstos klasės“ metodą. Tyrimo objektas – 12–14 metų mokinių įtraukimas ir pasitenkinimas mokantis ,,apverstoje klasėje“. Veiklos tyrimui dalyviai atrinkti taikant tikslinės atrankos procedūras. Projekto dalyviai buvo atrinkti iš savanorių K-12 mokinių, turinčių A2 ir aukštesnį (pagal CEFR) anglų kalbos mokėjimo lygį ir galinčių lengvai naudotis skaitmeninėmis platformomis. Šiame veiklos tyrime po pirminio projekto kontaktinio etapo buvo surengtos dvi internetinės mokymo/si veiklos, kuriose dalyvavo K-12 mokiniai iš keturių šalių partnerių: Nyderlandų, Ispanijos, Turkijos ir Lietuvos. Pirmose Olandijos komandos organizuotose internetinėse mokymo/si veiklose dalyvavo 48 K-12 mokiniai iš šalių partnerių: 34 proc. dalyvių buvo olandai, 23,4 proc. ispanai, 17 proc. turkai ir 25,5 proc. lietuviai. Antrose Ispanijos komandos organizuotose internetinėse veiklose dalyvavo 48 K-12 mokiniai: 28,26 proc. dalyvių buvo olandai, 23,91 proc. ispanai, 21,73 proc. turkai ir 28,26 proc. lietuviai. Veiklos tyrimas parodė, kad, taikant ,,apverstos klasės“ metodą, mokiniai tampa aktyvesni ir labiau įsitraukia į ugdymo veiklas. Tai padeda parodyti žinių pritaikymą realiame gyvenime. ,,Apverstos klasės“ metodas, taikytas veiklos tyrime, atskleidė, kad 12–14 metų mokiniams sėkmingiau sekėsi bendrauti ir bendradarbiauti, procesą buvo galima lengviau diferencijuoti, sužaidybinti, įtraukiant tarpkultūrinius aspektus. ,,Apverstos klasės“ metodas leido plėtoti aukštesnio mąstymo gebėjimus ir buvo stebima padidėjusi motyvacija bei įsitraukimas į ugdymo procesą. Action research has shown that using the Flipped classroom method, students become more active and engaged in educational activities. The Flipped classroom method, used in the activity study, revealed that students were more successful in communicating and cooperating, the process could be made easier by differentiating, playing, including intercultural aspects. Straipsnyje analizuojamas vadovų požiūris ir veiksmai įgyvendinant mokyklos pasirinktą įtraukųjį ugdymą stiprinantį projektą. Projekto įgyvendinimas Lietuvoje remiamas programos „Renkuosi mokyti – mokyklų kaitai!“, kuria siekiama įtraukiojo ugdymo kaip dėmesio kiekvienam vaikui bei nuolatinės jo mokymosi pažangos didinimo. Aptarta situacija aktualizuoja mokyklų vadovų vaidmens analizę mokyklos kaitos procese, ypač turint omenyje tai, kad tyrimų, analizuojančių vadovo vaidmenį sistemiškai kuriant įtraukią mokyklą, yra nedaug. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti vadovų požiūrį ir veikmę įtraukios mokyklos transformacijų procese. Probleminiai klausimai: kokia įtraukiojo ugdymo samprata ir kokiomis vertybėmis vadovaujasi mokyklų vadovai? kokie yra jų veiksmai ir lyderystė planuojant ir valdant mokykloje vykstančius transformacinius procesus, stiprinančius įtraukųjį ugdymą? Tyrimas atliktas taikant bendrąją kokybinio tyrimo metodologinę prieigą (angl. Generic Qualitative Research). Bendrieji kokybiniai tyrimai yra sociokonstruktyvistine interpretacine epistemologija besiremiantys tyrimai, kuriais siekiama suprasti, kaip žmonės interpretuoja savo patirtį, kaip jie kuria savo pasaulius ir kokią reikšmę jie suteikia savo patirčiai (Merriam, 2009), taikydami pagrindines bendrąsias imties formavimo kokybinių duomenų rinkimo ir analizės technikas ir nesilaikydami kokių nors nusistovėjusiomis filosofinėmis prielaidomis grįstų metodikų, pvz., fenomenologija, etnografija ar grindžiamuoju tyrimu (Percy, Kostere, K., Kostere, S., 2015). Tyrimo dalyviai atrinkti taikant tikslinės imties metodą. Interviu buvo apklausti keturiolika programos „Renkuosi mokytis – mokyklų kaitai!“ pirmajame etape dalyvavusių Lietuvos bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų vadovų, atsakingų už mokyklos politikos kūrimą (direktoriai ar jų pavaduotojai). Kaip duomenų rinkimo metodas pasirinktas pusiau struktūruotas interviu. Mokyklų vadovai pagal parengtą pokalbio struktūrą pasakojo apie pokyčio įgyvendinimą mokykloje projekto metu, tiesiogiai ar netiesiogiai atskleisdami jų suvokiamą įtraukiojo ugdymo sampratą, jos interpretaciją, požiūrį į įtraukiojo ugdymo stiprinimą mokykloje ir kaitos patirtis. Pagrindinės pokalbių temos: asmeninis požiūris į įtraukųjį ugdymą ir vertybes: nuostatų kaita, požiūris į mokinių įvairovę, lygias galimybes; įkvėpimas ir lyderystė: asmeninio požiūrio į įtraukųjį ugdymą sklaida mokykloje, dalijimasis vertybėmis, kitų įkvėpimas ir skatinimas; transformacijos ir jų įgyvendinimas: sprendimai, stiprinantys įtraukiojo ugdymo raišką. Tyrime dalyvavusiems vadovams įtraukiojo ugdymo samprata ir prasmingumas yra glaudžiai susiję su tokiomis įtraukiojo ugdymo vertybėmis kaip kiekvieno mokinio individualumo pripažinimas, lygių galimybių kūrimas kiekvienam besimokančiajam. Mokinių individualumo pripažinimas skatina vadovus galvoti apie skirtingus mokinių poreikius, galimybes, pasiekimus ir kiekvieno vaiko pažangos ir dalyvavimo užtikrinimo svarbą. Vadovų asmeninis pasirengimas stiprinti įtrauktį glaudžiai susijęs su kaitos prasmės internalizacija, patikėjimu įtraukiojo ugdymo idėja, laikant ją vertybiškai sava ir svarbia. Stebimos pozityvios vadovų nuostatos vertinant įtraukųjį ugdymą idėjiniu konceptualiu ir vertybiniu lygiu, tačiau skepticizmo ir kritiško požiūrio daugiau atsiranda kalbant apie praktinį įtraukties realizavimą. Tyrime dalyvavę vadovai pabrėžė ypatingą vadovo, kaip organizacijos lyderio, vaidmenį išryškinant ir aiškiai apibrėžiant mokyklos vertybinius prioritetus, juos įprasminant ir realizuojant asmeniniu pavyzdžiu ir įsitraukimu į aktualių problemų sprendimą, pozityviu mokytojų profesionalumo taikant įtraukiojo ugdymo paradigmą palaikymu, motyvuojančiu grįžtamuoju ryšiu. Kuriant įtraukią mokyklą svarbu įgalinti ir skatinti bendruomenę diskutuoti, mąstyti ir veikti kūrybiškai, siekiant bendrai išsikeltų tikslų, palaikyti mokytojų lyderystę. Vadovai įžvelgia savo vaidmenį ir atsakomybę kuriant ir įgyvendinant įtraukiojo ugdymo politiką mokykloje. To siekiama inicijuojant naujus bendruomenės susitarimus, grįstus lygių galimybių principais, juos formalizuojant vidinėmis tvarkomis, mobilizuojant išteklius ir kuriant kolegialaus mokymosi sistemą organizacijoje. Užtikrinant efektyvius naujų susitarimų praktinio įgyvendinimo procesus ir valdant galimą pasipriešinimą, pabrėžiamas būtinumas nuolat ieškoti individualių sprendimų ir poveikio būdų, padėsiančių keisti konkretaus mokytojo nuostatas, skatinančių jo mokymo praktikos kaitą siekiant kokybiškai ugdyti kiekvieną mokinį. The article analyses the attitudes and actions of school leaders in implementing a project enhancing inclusive education, chosen by a school. The implementation of the project in Lithuania is supported by the programme “I choose to teach – for school change!”, which aims to increase inclusive education as a focus on each child and the child’s continuous learning progress. The discussed situation actualises the analysis of the school leaders’ role in the process of school change, especially bearing in mind that there are few studies analysing the leader’s role in the systematic development of the inclusive school. The research aim is to reveal the leaders’ attitude and actions in the transformation process of the inclusive school. Problem questions: What conception and values of inclusive education are followed by school leaders? What are their managerial actions and leadership in transformational processes taking place in the school while enhancing inclusive education? The research was conducted using the generic qualitative research. Generic qualitative research is research based on socioconstructivist interpretivist epistemology, aimed at understanding how people interpret their experiences, how they create their worlds, and what meaning they give to their experiences (Merriam, 2009), using basic generic sampling, qualitative data collection and analysis techniques and not adhering to any methodologies based on established philosophical assumptions, such as phenomenology, ethnography, or grounded theory (Percy, Kostere, K., Kostere, S., 2015). Research participants were selected using the purposive sampling method. School principals of Lithuanian general education schools, responsible for the development of the school policy (principals or their deputies), who participated in the first stage of the 14th programme “I Choose to Study – for School Change!”, were interviewed. Semi-structured interviews were chosen as the data collection method. Data were systematized using the method of inductive qualitative content analysis (Kyngäs, 2020; Thomas, 2006). The interview transcripts were carefully read, significant lexical-semantic units were selected and coded, the system of partial categories was formed, and thematic groups describing the informants’ personal attitudes towards inclusive education and interpretations of their managerial practices helping to strengthen inclusive education were identified. To increase the reliability of the study, the categories were discussed in the researchers’ group. The leaders involved in the research maintain that the conception and meaningfulness of inclusive education are closely related to such values of inclusive education as acknowledgment of every student’s individuality, creation of equal opportunities for each learner. Acknowledgment of students’ individuality promotes leaders to think about different needs, possibilities, achievements of students and the importance of ensuring each child’s progress and participation. School principals’ personal preparation for strengthening inclusion is closely related to internalization of the sense of change, belief in the idea of inclusive education, considering it personally valuable and important. The approaches of leaders towards inclusive education at the conceptual and value level are positive, but there is more scepticism and criticism when it comes to the practical realisation of inclusion. School leaders who participated in the research emphasized the special role of the principal as the organization’s leader in highlighting and clearly defining the school’s value priorities, making sense of them and implementing them by personal example and involvement in the solution of relevant problems, positive support for teachers’ professionalism to work in the paradigm of inclusive education, and motivating feedback. In creating the inclusive school, it is important to empower and encourage the community to discuss, think and act creatively in seeking shared goals, support teacher leadership. Leaders understand their role and responsibility in developing and implementing the inclusive education policy in school. This is sought by initiating new agreements of the community, grounded on the principles of equal opportunities, and formalizing them in internal procedures, mobilizing resources and creating a system of collegial learning in the organization. Ensuring effective processes for practical implementation of new agreements and managing possible resistance, emphasis is placed on the necessity to constantly look for individual solutions and methods of impact, which would help change the specific teacher’s approaches, encourage change in his/her teaching practice to provide quality education for every student. Straipsnyje analizuojama reemigrantų mokinių ugdymo organizavimo progimnazijoje problema. Progimnazija yra Lietuvos švietimo sistemos grandis, bendrojo ugdymo (nuo 1 iki 8 klasių) įstaiga, tarpinė grandis tarp pradinės mokyklos ir gimnazijos, kuriai tenka priimti reemigracijos iššūkius. Mokyklos keitimas dėl reemigracijos yra sudėtingas procesas, nes be įprastai patiriamų mokyklos keitimo problemų, iškyla visiškai specifinės – kalbos, dalykinės sistemos skirtumų, kultūrinės aplinkos ir kt. Sėkminga integracija mokykloje gali teigiamai paveikti ne tik vaiko ugdymosi rezultatus ir jo savijautą, bet ir tolesnius jo santykius, kuriuos jis vėliau kursis kitoje aplinkoje. Vadovaujantis pozityvistine nuostata, atliktas kiekybinis tyrimas, siekiant atskleisti reemigrantų mokinių ugdymo progimnazijoje organizavimo patirtį ir efektyvinimo prielaidas. Tyrimas vykdytas šešiose Lietuvos progimnazijose, kurios dirba su mokiniais reemigrantais. Tyrime dalyvavo 102 progimnazijų mokytojai, turintys darbo su reemigrantais mokiniais patirties. Atlikus tyrimą atskleista, kad tyrime dalyvavusiose progimnazijose mokiniai reemigrantai dažniau ugdomi įprastoje klasėje, sudarant individualius planus ir adaptaciniam laikotarpiui pasitelkiant mokyklos švietimo specialistų (psichologo, socialinio pedagogo, specialiojo pedagogo) pagalbą. Mokinių žinios tikrinamos pokalbių metu, prireikus naudojami testai. Darbui su mokiniais reemigrantais progimnazijoje sudaromas individualus tvarkaraštis, mokytojai dalijasi patirtimi su kolegomis, konsultuojasi, vykdoma mokinių reemigrantų ugdymosi stebėsena. Nustatyti statistiškai reikšmingi, teigiami, silpni koreliaciniai ryšiai tarp respondentų darbo stažo ir gaunamos pagalbos (vadovų, mokyklos specialistų) mokinių reemigrantų ugdymo procese (r = 0,279) (p = 0,01), t. y. didesnį darbo stažą turintys progimnazijos mokytojai dažniau sutinka, kad sulaukia pagalbos dėl mokinių reemigrantų ugdymo proceso organizavimo. Progimnazijos mokytojai bendradarbiauja su tėvais, organizuodami konsultacijas, įtraukia į bendradarbiavimo procesą klasės vadovą, siekia kurti partneryste grįstus santykius, skatina pačius tėvus aktyviau įsitraukti į vaiko ugdymo procesą. Organizuojant veiklas, mokytojams svarbios kultūrinė, asmeninio tobulėjimo, mokymosi mokytis, mokinių skirtybių (galimybių) pažinimo, technologijų ir informacijos valdymo, ugdymosi aplinkų kūrimo, lyderystės ir multikultūriškumo kompetencijos. Nustatyti statistiškai reikšmingi, teigiami, silpni koreliaciniai respondentų darbo stažo ir mokytojų kompetencijų pažinti mokinių skirtybes (galimybes) (r = 0,216) (p = 0,05) ir įvaldyti naujas technologijas bei valdyti informaciją (r = 0,274) (p = 0,05) tarpusavio ryšiai, t. y. didesnį darbo stažą turintys respondentai dažniau sutinka, kad mokytojams, dirbantiems su reemigrantų vaikais, būtinos mokinių skirtybių (galimybių) pažinimo ir technologijų (informacijos) valdymo kompetencijos. Reemigrantų vaikų ugdymą progimnazijoje teigiamai veiktų papildomai organizuojamos formalios (lietuvių kalbos ir literatūros, matematikos) ir neformalios veiklos, skaitmenizuoto ugdymo turinio kūrimas, įvairesnių bendradarbiavimo su tėvais formų paieška, dialogas mokyklos bendruomenėje (mokiniai, tėvai, mokytojai, vadovai), mokinių pasiekimų refleksija ir platesnė mokytojų gerosios mokinių reemigrantų ugdymo patirties sklaida. Mokytojų aprūpinimas sistemine-metodine medžiaga apie mokinių reemigrantų ugdymo organizavimą, internetinis pamokų tvarkaraštis, dviejų mokytojų ar mokytojo padėjėjo dalyvavimas ugdymo procese, bendradarbiaujančios aplinkos kūrimas sudaro veiksmingo mokinių reemigrantų ugdymo organizavimo progimnazijoje prielaidas. A progymnasium is part of the Lithuanian system, a general education institution (grades 1 to 8), an intermediate link between primary school and a gymnasium, which differs from basic schools in the higher quality of the activities and the created added value. A quantitative study was conducted: 106 progymnasium teachers working with returned emigré pupils took part. The research revealed that individual plans were made for returned emigré pupils in progymnasiums, and school education specialists (psychologists, social pedagogues, etc) assisted them during the adaptation period. For the teachers working with returned emigré pupils, the competences of recognising their diverse abilities and the management of (information) technology were especially important. Additional formal (Lithuanian language and literature, mathematics) and informal activities, the development of the digitalised content of education, cooperation, and the dissemination of best practices created the preconditions for the streamlining of the education of returned emigré pupils in progymnasiums. Daugelio ligų ir sutrikimų priežastis – rizikingas elgesys, kuris kelia grėsmę žmogaus sveikatai, gerovei, ateities raidai bei sėkmei. Ypač svarbu, kad paauglystėje naujos patirtys netaptų rizikinga elgsena, o besiformuojantys gyvensenos įpročiai taptų poreikiu elgtis sveikai. Straipsnyje analizuojami Klaipėdos miesto ir rajono 10- 12 klasių mokinių rizikingos elgsenos – psichoaktyviųjų medžiagų: tabako gaminių ir (ar) elektroninių cigarečių, alkoholio, narkotinių medžiagų vartojimo aspektai. Pasirinkta kiekybinio tyrimo strategija, taikyta apklausa raštu. Buvo apklausta 260 Klaipėdos miesto ir rajono 10-12 klasės mokinių nuo 16 iki 19 metų. Šiame straipsnyje aptariama gyventojų padėtis dabartinėje modernioje tautinėje valstybėje jų santykio su savo tauta ir valstybe požiūriu. Žmonės atsiduria tarp patriotinių ir ekonominių interesų, asmens teisių ir nacionalinių interesų, empirinių poreikių ir abstrakčių reikalavimų. Šias įtemptas situacijas, išsamiau aprašytas ankstesniame straipsnyje, iliustruoja Lietuvos moksleivių požiūrio teminių grupių tyrimas. Nustatyta, kad dauguma mokinių pirmenybę teikia ekonominei ir asmeninei motyvacijai, o ne patriotinei. This paper discusses the situation of people in the current modern nation state in terms of their relation to their own nation and state. They are situated between patriotic and economic interests, between individual rights and national interest, between empirical needs and abstract requirements. These tensions, described more elaborately in a previous article, are illustrated by the research of focus groups on the attitudes of Lithuanian school students. A majority of students was found to prefer economic and personal motivation over patriotic. Historical education based on comics was tested as a way to implement more patriotic attitudes. Aim. The study aims to enrich an understanding of how Lithuanian school psychologists perceive the cross-cultural transitional care in the bridging role they are made to play in their schooling contexts in supporting Cross-Culture Kids (CCK). Methods. The article presents research findings of surveying 200 school psychologists from Lithuania on current practices and challenges Lithuanian schools face in working with CCKs and developing effective and comprehensive school-based Cross-Cultural Transition Care Programmes (CCTCP). Results. The analysis shows that Lithuanian school psychologists are unfamiliar with CCK concepts and do not feel prepared to deliver CCTC service to migrant pupils and families or CCTC training to their peer teacher and school administration. Issues surrounding migrant integration are alien to many, and many see it as irrelevant to their school contexts, regardless of governmental attempts to integrate returning Lithuanian emigrants in recent years. Conclusion. The study shows that cross-cultural dialogues—and thus care support—yet need to find space in Lithuanian schools. Through systematic reconsideration, institutions providing educational support and training to key school actors, such as school psychologists, can be better supported. More approachable forms of implementable resources will allow space for schools to negotiate the extent and speed of their involvement, and also provide an arena for cross-cultural narratives and integration care, as they see fit best in their context.

Tikslas. Šiame darbe buvo siekiama ištirti antrų klasių mokinių mokymo plaukti programos efektyvumą. Metodai. Tyrime buvo taikomas pedagoginio stebėjimo metodas. Jo metu buvo stebimos plaukimo pamokos baseine. Duomenų fiksavimui buvo parengtas stebėjimo protokolas, kuriame buvo pateikti pagal sunkumo lygį suskirstyti pratimai. Taip pat buvo stebimas ir vertinamas trenerio darbas. Tyrime dalyvavo Klaipėdos S. Dacho progimnazijos dvi antrokų klasės (n = 49). Tyrimo dalyvių amžius – 7–9 metai. Kiti tyrimo dalyviai buvo plaukimo treneriai (n = 4, 2 vyrai ir 2 moterys), kurie vedė plaukimo pamokas. Tyrimas atliekamas dviem etapais ir vyko 2018–2019 mokslo metais. Rezultatai. Devynių mėnesių mokymo plaukti programos įgyvendinimo laikotarpiu nustatyta, kad per pirmąjį vertinimą labai gerai vandenyje jautėsi 30,6 %, o puikius kvėpavimo įgūdžius turėjo 22,4 % vaikų. Po 31 pamokos – trečiojo vertinimo metu – šiais aspektais labai gerai buvo įvertinti 89,9 % vaikų. Vertinant pagrindinį programos efektyvumo rodiklį – įšokus į baseiną nuplaukti 50 m keičiant būdus – 25 m nugara ir 25 m krūtine – po 31 pamokos labai gerai sugebėjo 65,3 %, vidutiniškai – 24,5 %, silpnai – 10,2 % vaikų. Mokymo plaukti ir saugiai elgtis vandenyje ir prie vandens proceso vertinimo rezultatai atskleidė, kad nors ir pasitaikė trenerių klaidų, tačiau didžioji dalis mokymo proceso buvo vykdoma kompetentingai bei profesionaliai. Išvada. Programos įgyvendinimo laikotarpiu per 31 pamoką išmoko plaukti du trečdaliai (65,3 %) programos dalyvių. Trečdaliui mokinių plaukimo pamokų pritrūko ir jie labai gerai plaukti neišmoko. Mokymo plaukti programos pasiekimų kaita atskleidė, kad 18 pamokų neužtenka išmokti pagrindinių plaukimo pratimų ir plaukti. Raktažodžiai: plaukimas, mokymas plaukti, mokiniai, efektyvumas. Aim. The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the swimming program for second grade students. Methods. Pedagogical observation method was used in this study: swimming lessons in the pool were observed. An observation protocol was developed to record the data, with exercises broken down by the levels of difficulty. The work of the coaches was also monitored and evaluated. Two classes of second grade pupils (n = 49) from Klaipėda S. Dachas Progymnasium participated in the study. The study participants ranged from 7 to 9 years of age. Other study participants were the swimming coaches (n = 4, 2 men and 2 women) who led the lessons. The study was conducted in two phases and took place during the school year 2018–2019. Results. Over the course of the implementation of the nine-month swimming training program, the study found that during the first assessment 30.6% of the children felt very good in the water, while 22.4% of the children had excellent breathing skills. After 31 sessions (during the third assessment), 89.9% of children were found to perform well in these aspects. The main indicator of the program’s efficiency was the following test: after jumping into the pool, the students were required to swim 50 meters, changing swimming styles: 25 meters on the back and 25 meters on the chest. Assessing this test after 31 sessions, 65.3% of students performed very well, 24.5% were average, and 10.2% of children performed poorly. The results of the evaluation of the process of teaching how to swim and behave safely in and near the water revealed that although the coaches did make mistakes, most of the training process was conducted competently and professionally. Conclusion. During the implementation of the programme two thirds (65.3%) of the study participants learned to swim. One third of the students lacked swimming sessions and they did not learn to swim very well. Darbo tikslas – nustatyti grupinių ir individualių fizinių veiklų poveikį pradinių klasių mokinių socializacijai. Tyrimo organizavimas ir metodai. Tyrime dalyvavo 48 pradinių klasių mokiniai – nuo 1 iki 4 klasės (7–10 m.). Tiriamieji buvo suskirstyti į dvi grupes: tiriamąją (n = 24) ir kontrolinę (n = 24). Tiriamajai grupei buvo taikomi edukaciniai fiziniai žaidimai ir pratimai, o kontrolinei grupei – įprastinės fizinės veiklos pratimai. Abiem grupėms užsiėmimai vyko po du kartus per savaitę po 45 min. Testavimas buvo vykdomas dviem etapais – prieš ir po intervencijos – vienoje Kauno miesto progimnazijų. Tyrime taikyti metodai: elgesiui, emocijų raiškai ir bendravimui su bendraamžiais nustatyti – Galių ir sunkumų klausimynas; įtampos lygiui veiklos metu įvertinti – „VERIM Lab Pro“ biogrįžtamojo ryšio metodas; pasitenkinimas fizine veikla vertinamas pagal Fizinio aktyvumo malonumo skalę; fizinės veiklos raiška buvo vertinama „Mokyklinio amžiaus vaikų gyvensenos ir sveikatos tyrimu – HBSC“ (metodologijos ištrauka apie fizinį aktyvumą laisvalaikio metu). Duomenų apdorojimui buvo naudojamas statistinės duomenų analizės paketas SPSS for Windows 23.0. Rezultatai. Tiriamojoje grupėje taikyti edukaciniai fiziniai žaidimai ir pratimai turėjo teigiamą poveikį mokinių elgesiui (p = 0,001), santykiams su bendraamžiais (p = 0,01), bendriems sunkumams (p = 0,001), sumažino hiperaktyvumą (p = 0,01). Sumažėjo mokinių patiriama įtampa veiklų metu tiriamojoje grupėje mažiausio (p = 0,021) ir didžiausio (p = 0,037) intensyvumo veiklose. Statistiškai reikšmingo poveikio mokinių patiriamai įtampai neturėjo kontrolinėje grupėje taikyti įprastinės fizinės veiklos pratimai. Tiriamojoje grupėje taikomi pratimai turėjo teigiamą poveikį mokinių pasitenkinimui fizine veikla (p = 0,001), padažnėjo fiziškai aktyvaus laisvalaikio leidimas (p = 0,001) ir pailgėjo trukmė (p = 0,004). Kontrolinėje grupėje nenustatytas reikšmingas poveikis pasitenkinimui taikoma veikla, tačiau statistiškai reikšmingai pakito fiziškai aktyvaus laisvalaikio dažnumas (p = 0,001) ir trukmė (p = 0,020). Išvados. Neformaliojo ugdymo metu taikyti edukaciniai fiziniai žaidimai ir pratimai labiau sumažino mokinių elgesio problemas, hiperaktyvumą ir bendrus sunkumus negu neformaliojo ugdymo metu taikytos įprastinės fizinės veiklos. Pradinių klasių mokiniams popamokinės veiklos metu taikytos edukacinės fizinės veiklos labiau sumažino patiriamą įtampą mažiausio intensyvumo veiklos metu, lyginant su popamokinėmis įprastinėmis fizinėmis veiklomis. Nustatytas didesnis poveikis mokinių pasitenkinimui fizine veikla ir fizinio aktyvumo padidėjimui po edukacinių fizinių žaidimų ir pratimų intervencijos, lyginant su įprastine fizine veikla. The aim of research work: To identify the impact of group and individual physical activities on the socializations of primary school students. Materials and methods: The research involved 48 primary school students, grades from 1 to 4 (7–10-yearold). Subjects were divided into two groups: research group (n = 24) and control group (n = 24). The research group experienced educational physical games and exercises routine and the control group underwent ordinary physical activities. Both groups’ classes were held twice a week, for 45 minutes. The research had two stages: before and after the intervention. The study was carried out in one of the city of Kaunas progymnasiums. Methods used in the study: for the behavior, expression of emotions and communication with peers – SDQ (Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire); to evaluate stress levels during activity – VERIM Lab Pro, biofeedback; evaluation of physical activity’s satisfaction – Health Assessment Survey; the expression of physical activity was assessed using Health Behavior in School-aged Children study – HBSC (summary of methodology on leisure-time physical activity). The statistical data analysis package SPSS for Windows 23.0 was used for data processing. Results: The educational physical exercises and games intervention for the research group had a positive impact for students‘ behavior (p = 0.001), hyperactivity (p = 0.01), communication with peers (p = 0.01) and general difficulties (p = 0.001). In the research group stress levels during physical activities decreased, in smallest (p = 0.021) and biggest (p = 0.037) intensity of activity’s. The activities applied in the control group did not have a statistically significant impact on the students’ stress levels. In the research group physical activity’s satisfaction level (p = 0.001), physical activity’s frequency on leisure-time (p = 0.001) and duration (p = 0.004) have increased. The control group did not determine a significant impact on the satisfaction of the peculiar activities, though statistically significant the frequency (p = 0.001) and duration (p = 0.020) of physical activity on leisure-time changed. Conclusion. The research determined that educational physical exercises and games have higher impact on the reduction of students’ behavior problems, hyperactivity and general students difficulties, compared to ordinary activities. Educational physical activities have greater impact on primary school students’ stress level during physical activity’s 4th phase, compared to ordinary activities. Higher impact on students’ satisfaction by physical activity and an increase in frequency of physical activity level were determined after the intervention of educational physical games and exercises, compared to ordinary activities. Mokykla laikoma tinkamiausia vieta paauglių sveikatos stiprinimo procesui. Pagrindinis sveikatos stiprinimo proceso komponentas yra dalyvavimas jame, todėl norint, kad sveikatos stiprinimo procesas būtų efektyvus, būtina į jį įtraukti kuo daugiau mokinių. Tyrimo tikslas – įvertinti 9 – 10 klasių mokinių dalyvavimą mokykloje vykdomame jų sveikatos stiprinimo procese. Tyrimo metu apklausti 3574 devintųjų ir dešimtųjų klasių mokiniai iš 110 įvairių Lietuvos mokyklų. Paplitimo įverčiams apskaičiuoti 95 proc. PI, ranginių duomenų analizei panaudoti Mann Whitney ir Kruskal Wallis testai. Nustatant veiksnius, turinčius įtakos mokinių norui aktyviau dalyvauti mokykloje vykdomame jų sveikatos stiprinimo procese, sudaryti logistinės regresijos modeliai, gauti pakoreguoti šansų santykiai, apskaičiuoti jų 95 proc. PI. Aktyviai arba labai aktyviai mokinių sveikatos stiprinimo procese dalyvavo 10,1 proc. mokinių. Jų aktyvumas buvo reikšmingai susijęs su lytimi, amžiumi, gyvenamąja vieta, mokymosi mokykloje trukme, pastarojo pusmečio pažymių vidurkiu, mokyklos tipu, jos vieta bei ugdymo įstaigos priklausymu (nepriklausymu) SSM tinklui. Per pastaruosius metus 41,9 proc. mokinių dalyvavo renginiuose bei 21,8 proc. mokinių padėjo renginius organizuoti. Beveik 70 proc. mokinių norėjo arba bent iš dalies norėjo aktyviau dalyvauti mokykloje vykdomame jų sveikatos stiprinimo procese, šis noras buvo reikšmingai susijęs su mokinių lytimi. Daugumos mokinių dalyvavimo sveikatos stiprinimo procese lūkesčiai buvo pozityvūs: 53,1 proc. respondentų manė, kad jie įgis sveikatos stiprinimui reikalingų žinių, 41,0 proc. mokinių teigė, kad jie taps fiziškai aktyvesni. Didžiausiai daliai mokinių aktyviau dalyvauti sveikatos stiprinimo procese trukdė jų laiko, noro ir žinių stoka (atitinkamai 60,8 proc., 52,5 proc. ir 24,3 proc.). School is considered the most appropriate place for health promotion processes for adolescents. A key component of the health promotion process is participation in it, therefore, for the health promotion process to be effective, it is necessary to involve as many students as possible. The aim of the study – to evaluate the participation of 9th and 10th grade students in school health promotion process. 3574 9th and 10th grade students from 110 different Lithuanian schools were interviewed. Prevalence estimates were calculated at 95% CI, Mann–Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests were used for ordinal data analysis. In order to determine the factors influencing the students’ willingness to participate more actively in their health promotion process at school, logistic regression models were developed, adjusted odds ratios were obtained and their 95% CI were calculated. 10.1% of students were actively or very actively involved in the health promotion process. Their activity was significantly related to gender, age, place of residence, duration of belonging (attending) to school, average grades in the last six months, schools’ type, its location and membership in SSM network. In the last year, 41.9% of students participated in events and 21.8% of students helped organize events. Nearly 70 percent of students wanted, or at least partially wanted, to be more actively involved in their health promotion process at school, this was significantly related to students’ gender. Students had positive expectations about participation in health promotion process: 53.1% of respondents thought that they would acquire the knowledge for strengthening their health, 41.0% of students stated that they would become more physically active. Part of the students could not participate more actively in the health promotion process because of their lack of time, willingness and knowledge (respectively 60.8%, 52.5% ir 24.3%)

Sveikatos raštingumas – svarbi visuomenės sveikatos sritis. Nepakankamas sveikatos raštingumo lygis gali lemti paauglių žalingą elgesį, turintį neigiamos įtakos jų sveikatai, todėl svarbu plėtoti ir vertinti visuomenės sveikatos intervencijas, kurios galėtų skatinti geresnį paauglių ir jaunų žmonių sveikatos informacijos supratimą ir jos panaudojimą. Tyrimo tikslas – nustatyti 11-12 (III-IV gimnazijos) klasių mokinių alkoholio vartojimo ir sveikatos raštingumo sąsajas. Tyrimo metodai. Anoniminės anketinės apklausos metodu buvo apklausti 1038 Lietuvos mokyklų 11-12 (III-IV gimnazijos) klasių mokiniai. Sveikatos raštingumo lygiui įvertinti buvo naudojamas HLS-EU-Q47 išsamus 47 klausimų sveikatos raštingumo klausimynas, išverstas į lietuvių kalbą. Kita anketos dalis sudaryta iš socialinių-demografinių klausimų bei klausimų apie alkoholio vartojimą. Statistinė analizė buvo atlikta naudojant statistinių duomenų apdorojimo programas SPSS, Microsoft Excel ir WinPepi. Kategorinių duomenų analizei buvo naudojamas χ2 kriterijus ir Fisher palyginimo testas. Dviems nepriklausomoms ranginėms imtims buvo naudotas Mann-Whitney U testas, o kelioms nepriklausomoms ranginėms imtims – Kruskal-Wallis testas. Ryšiams tarp ranginių kintamųjų nustatyti buvo naudojamas Spearman koreliacijos koeficientas (rs). Rezultatai. Straipsnyje analizuojama tyrimo dalis, vykdant projektą „Strateginės jaunimo politikos ir tarptautinio bendradarbiavimo stiprinimas“ (akronimas – CaSYPoT, Nr. STHB.05.01.00-SE-0024/15) pagal 2014–2020 m. INTERREG Pietų Baltijos programą. Bendrasis projekto siekinys: skatinti jaunimą įsitraukti į vietos bendruomenių demokratijos kūrimo ir valdymo procesus, išryškinant jaunų žmonių vaidmens svarbą visuomenės vystymosi kontekste. Vykdant CaSYPoT projektą, 2017 m. balandžio–birželio mėn. parengtas ir atliktas jaunimo situacijos tyrimas (anketinė apklausa, adaptuotas LUPP klausimynas, kurio autoriai – C. Hansén ir J. Skålmedal (2015)) Pietų Baltijos regiono šalyse: Švedijoje, Lenkijoje, Rusijoje (Kaliningrado srityje) ir Lietuvoje. Atliekant longitudinį tyrimą, viena klausimyno dalis buvo skirta jaunimo situacijai mokyklose nustatyti. Tikslas – atskleisti jaunimo situaciją ugdymo įstaigose ir, taikant lyginamąjį metodą, išryškinti pavienių savivaldybių ypatumus šiuo aspektu. Jaunuoliams pateikti klausimai, susiję su jų mokymosi aplinka: mokyklos atmosfera (klimatu), santykiais su bendraamžiais ir pedagogais, galimybėmis ir noru įsitraukti į mokymosi bei laisvalaikio veiklų organizavimą ugdymo įstaigoje, mokyklos savivaldą ir pan. Tyrimo grupę sudarė 1593 jaunuoliai nuo 16 iki 19 metų amžiaus iš 6 savivaldybių: Emmabodos (Švedija), Slupsko ir Bartoszyce (Lenkija), Svetlogorsko ir Gusevo (Rusija, Kaliningrado sritis) bei Klaipėdos (Lietuva). Visose savivaldybėse respondentai pagal lytį pasiskirstė tolygiai, išskyrus Svetlogorską, kur dominavo merginos (33 % vaikinų ir 67 % merginų). Daugiau kaip pusė apklaustų jaunuolių visose savivaldybėse mokyklos aplinką įvardijo kaip patrauklią ir saugią teritoriją, teigė, kad jiems patinka ugdymo įstaigos aplinka (atmosfera). Lyginant pastebėta, kad Klaipėdos ir Svetlogorsko jaunuoliai (55 %) šiek tiek mažiau patenkinti mokyklos atmosfera, taip pat ir besimokantieji Emmabodoje (85 %). Nemažai tiriamųjų pripažino, kad vis dar susiduria su tokiomis problemomis kaip patyčios, priekabiavimas, prievarta, lyčių lygybės ar demokratijos principų nesilaikymas ar ryški konkurencija mokyklos aplinkoje. Didesnė dalis respondentų visose savivaldybėse atsakė, kad žino, kur kreiptis pagalbos mokykloje, esant patyčioms ar panašaus pobūdžio reiškiniams. Be to, tyrimas atskleidė, kad 16–19 metų jaunuolius labiausiai domina, ko ir kaip bus mokomasi mokykloje, kokie bus namų darbai, kaip bus sudarytas tvarkaraštis, kokie reikalavimai bus keliami egzaminams, bet jaučiasi nepakankamai informuoti, ar bus sudarytos sąlygos dalyvauti planuojant šiuos procesus. Didžioji dalis jaunuolių tirtose savivaldybėse turi savo siekių ir pageidauja aktyvesnės įtraukties į mokyklos bendruomenės veiklas: Svetlogorske (92 %), Bartoszyce (89 %), Slupske (83 %). Aptartos tendencijos atskleidžia ir keletą kontraversiškų situacijų, kita vertus, suprantama, kad neįmanoma nubrėžti paralelės tarp tos pačios šalies miestų, tad išryškėjusios tendencijos gali būti būdingos tik konkrečiam miestui, o ne šaliai. Ir, nors Emmabodos jaunimo situacija geriausia mokyklose, bet galima pastebėti, kad mokinių dalyvavimo priimant sprendimus mokykloje skaičius, lyginant su kitais miestais, nedidelis. Ir priešingai, nors Klaipėdos ugdymo įstaigose skatinama pagarba, pagalba vienas kitam, tačiau kartu įžvelgiame, kad vis dar gajos patyčios ir priekabiavimo apraiškos. Apibendrindami galime teigti, kad lyginamasis tyrimas atskleidė jaunų žmonių požiūrį, lūkesčius ir atkreipė dėmesį į įvairias problemas jų ugdymosi įstaigose. Tikimės, kad tyrimo išvados ir rekomendacijos prisidės prie jaunimo politikos bei strategijos formavimo bei didins jaunosios kartos motyvaciją ir įsitraukimą į mokyklos bei visuomeninį gyvenimą. This study presents an internationally (cross-border) representative picture of the school environment, atmosphere and action taken by schools aiming at the involvement of students in their actions. The study was conducted within the framework of the CaSYPoT project (Capacity Building for Strategic Youth Policy and Transnational Cooperation) under the Interreg South Baltic Programme 2014-2020 (Project No STHB.05.01.00-SE-0024/15). The main aim of the CaSYPot project was to encourage young people to get involved in local democracy, and to present youth as a resource in the development of society. Furthermore, for the design and implementation of the southern Baltic youth strategy, it is important to gain an insight into the current situation regarding the environment in schools. One section of this survey was addressed to the situation of youth in schools. The international survey for the CaSYPoT project was conducted among 1,593 students, in six towns in the southern Baltic region, in Sweden, Poland, Russia and Lithuania, from April to June 2017. The project partner’s towns carried out a survey on teenagers aged 16 to 19, identifying their needs and problems in school, and providing comparable data. The questionnaire contained questions addressing young people’s well-being and atmosphere of safety, the climate at school, and their experience in getting involved in the work of the school and their influence on decision making. To sum up, the study describes the current situation in schools, which is essential for the development and evaluation of future policies and actions. The survey covers a wide range of student opinions on school, and begins with a summary of the key findings drawn from an analysis of the survey, and strategic recommendations for the future.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjama lenkų švietimo padėtis Rytų ir Pietryčių Lietuvoje (Vilniaus krašte) vėlyvuoju sovietmečiu, ieškoma atsakymo į esminį klausimą – kodėl dauguma mokyklų lenkų dėstomąja kalba virto rusiškomis ir kas šį procesą dinamizavo. The article examines the situation of Polish education in Eastern and SouthEastern Lithuania (Vilnius region) in the late Soviet era, seeks to answer the fundamental question – why most schools adopted Polish as the language of instruction and what dynamised this process.

This article investigates methodological problems of measuring family wealth among secondary school students with home possessions indicators. It employs multiple correspondence analysis (MCA) in order to explore (1) the dimensionality of home possessions items, (2) the nature of relationship between these items, and (3) the substantive meaning of the first and other relevant dimensions. It also employs regression analysis in order to study potential explanatory factors of the second dimension of the MCA solutions that may be related to measurement problems of the instrument. Two sources of data are used: (1) open access data from the National Survey of Student Achievement (NSSA) in Lithuania that provide a series of national educational studies conducted from 2002 to 2016, and (2) data from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) study conducted in Lithuania in 2018 that is used to corroborate findings produced using the first data source. Results of the data analysis show that the first dimension of MCA solutions obtained from home possessions items in both NSSA and PISA data sets reflect high vs. low socio-economic status (SES) of the students. However, there is at least one more important dimension, and it reveals multi-dimensional nature of the measurement instrument. Analysis of potential explanatory factors of the second dimension of the MCA solutions revealed that reading abilities and school-related affect is related to this dimension. Thus, the second dimension of MCA solutions might also reflect methodological problems related to the measurement of home possessions in adolescent surveys. Pasauliniu mastu, reaguojant į COVID-19 pandemiją, įvykęs itin greitas perėjimas nuo įprasto kontaktinio prie nuotolinio mokymosi suponavo poreikį ištirti tėvų patirtis padedant savo vaikams mokytis nuotolinio mokymosi aplinkoje. Dėl pasaulinės pandemijos organizuotas nuotolinis ugdymas tapo didžiuliu išbandymu daugeliui tėvų visame pasaulyje. Su kilusiais iššūkiais, sujaukta kasdiene rutina buvo bandoma susidoroti pasitelkiant įvairias priemones ir būdus. Šių iššūkių, su kuriais susidūrė tėvai ugdant savo atžalas nuotoliniu būdu, analizė yra labai svarbi ir reikšminga, nes gali padėti švietimo politikos formuotojams priimti tam tikrus sprendimus, padėsiančius pašalinti mokinių mokymosi rezultatams įtakos galinčias turėti kliūtis. Temos problematika inspiravo probleminį klausimą: su kokiais iššūkiais susidūrė pirmos klasės mokinių tėvai padėdami vaikams mokytis nuotoliniu būdu? Atliktų mokslinių tyrimų analizė parodė, kad pradinių klasių mokinių tėvai daugiau laiko praleido su vaikais pandemijos laikotarpiu namuose, buvo labiau įsitraukę į mokymosi ir mokymo procesą skaitmeninėje aplinkoje, nuolatos sekė bei analizavo savo vaikų mokymo(si) eigą. Tačiau šis „įsitraukimas“ tėvams buvo nelengvas, nes reikėjo vaikui skiriamą dėmesį ir pagalbą derinti su darbinėmis veiklomis, ieškoti būdų ir priemonių suprantamesniam mokymo medžiagos išaiškinimui. The rapid global shift from traditional face-to-face to distance learning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has implied a need to investigate parents’ experiences of helping their children learn in a distance-learning environment. Due the global pandemic, distance education has become a major challenge for many parents around the world. Various tools and techniques were used to cope with the challenges and disrupted daily routines. The analysis of challenges faced by parents in distance education is of great importance and significance, as it can help education policy makers to make certain decisions that could help remove barriers that may affect students’ learning outcomes. The subject matter inspired the question: what are the challenges faced by parents of students in first grade in helping their children to learn at a distance. The research analysis showed that parents spent more time with their children at home during the pandemic period, were more involved in the learning and teaching process in the digital environment, and constantly monitored and analysed their children’s learning progress. However, such “engagement” was not easy for parents, as they had to combine attention and support for their child with their work activities, and to find ways and means to make the learning material more comprehensible. Straipsnyje pristatoma grįžusių emigrantų vaikų lietuvių kalbos apžvalga, remiantis 2021–2022 metais vykdyto projekto „Grįžusių emigrantų vaikų kalbinė integracija: lietuvių kalbos kompetencija ir jos ugdymas“ (LMT sutartis Nr. S-REP-21-1) duomenimis. Tyrimo medžiaga atrinkta iš projekto metu sukauptų dviejų lietuvių kalbos grįžusių (KG) ir nuolat Lietuvoje gyvenusių (KL) vaikų tekstynų, kurių medžiagą sudaro 2021 m. aštuoniose Lietuvos mokyklose surinkti empiriniai tyrimo duomenys. Į tyrimo imtį įtraukti iš anglakalbių šalių į Lietuvą prieš 1–2 metus grįžę 8–12 metų vaikai ir tokio pat amžiaus Lietuvoje nuolat gyvenę vaikai. Šiuo straipsniu siekiama nustatyti KG ir KL vaikų kalbinės raiškos skirtumus lyginant dažninius žodžių sąrašus ir apžvelgiant keletą pasirinktų kalbos dalių: veiksmažodį, daiktavardį ir būdvardį. Paaiškėjo, kad KG ir KL kalbinėje raiškoje žymesnių veiksmažodžio, daiktavardžio ir būdvardžio vartojimo dažnumo skirtumų nenustatyta. Įvertinus tekstynų medžiagą, matyti, kad pagal turimus kalbos gebėjimus ir žinias grįžę vaikai geba gana laisvai bendrauti kasdienėmis temomis ir jų kalbos raiška yra panaši į Lietuvoje augusių bendraamžių kalbą. The article overviews the Lithuanian language of returning emigrant children. It is based on the project “Linguistic Integration of Returning Emigrant Children: Proficiency in Lithuanian and its Development” (RCL Agreement No. S-REP-21-1), implemented in 2021–2022. The data were selected from two Lithuanian language children’s corpora (returning emigrant children (KG) and permanently residing in Lithuania children (KL)) collected during the project at eight Lithuanian schools. The corpora consist of the Lithuanian language production by children aged 8–12 who returned to Lithuania from English-speaking countries 1–2 years ago and by their peers in Lithuania. The article aims to identify differences in the linguistic expression of KG and KL by comparing the word frequency lists and overviewing verb, noun, and adjective. The quantitative findings show no significant differences in the use of the selected parts of speech. The results suggest that according to the available language skills and competences, the returning emigrant children can communicate on everyday topics quite freely, and their linguistic expression is similar to the language of their peers in Lithuania. Mokinių tėvų dalyvavimas savo vaikų sveikatos stiprinimo procese yra nepaprastai svarbus veiksnys, siekiant užtikrinti mokinių sveikatos stiprinimo efektyvumą. Tyrimo tikslas – įvertinti 9 – 10 klasių mokinių tėvų dalyvavimą jų vaiko mokykloje vykdomame mokinių sveikatos stiprinimo procese. Tyrimo metu apklausti 2844 110 įvairių Lietuvos mokyklų 9 ir 10 klasių mokinių tėvai. Paplitimo įverčiams apskaičiuoti 95 proc. PI, ranginių duomenų analizei panaudoti Mann-Whitney ir Kruskal-Wallis testai. Sudarytas logistinės regresijos modelis, gauti pakoreguoti šansų santykiai, apskaičiuoti jų 95 proc. PI. Aktyviai arba labai aktyviai mokinių sveikatos stiprinimo procese dalyvavo 2,3 proc. mokinių tėvų. Jų aktyvumas buvo reikšmingai susijęs su lytimi, gyvenamąja vieta, mokyklos tipu, jos vieta bei priklausymu (nepriklausymu) SSM tinklui. Per pastaruosius metus 14,0 proc. mokinių tėvų dalyvavo renginiuose, skirtuose mokinių sveikatos stiprinimui, 10,3 proc. tėvų organizavo materialinę paramą šiems renginiams. Daugiau nei 80 proc. mokinių tėvų norėjo, arba bent iš dalies norėjo, aktyviau dalyvauti jų vaiko mokykloje vykdomame mokinių sveikatos stiprinimo procese. Šis noras buvo reikšmingai susijęs su tėvų amžiumi, išsilavinimu ir gyvenamąja vieta. Daugumos tėvų dalyvavimo mokinių sveikatos stiprinimo procese lūkesčiai buvo pozityvūs: 63,6 proc. respondentų manė, kad jų vaikas įgis sveikatos stiprinimui reikalingų žinių, 35,1 proc. tėvų teigė, kad jų vaiko mityba taps sveikatai palankesnė. Didžiausiai daliai mokinių tėvų aktyviau dalyvauti jų vaiko mokykloje vykdomame mokinių sveikatos stiprinimo procese trukdė jų laiko, žinių ir noro stoka (atitinkamai 78,4 proc., 23,1 proc. ir 22,9 proc.). The involvement of parents in the students health promotion process is a crucial factor in ensuring the effectiveness of students health promotion. The aim of the study – to evaluate the participation of parents of 9th – 10th grade students in the health promotion process in their child‘s school. 2844 parents of 9th and 10th grade students from 110 different Lithuanian schools were interviewed. Prevalence estimates were calculated at 95% CI, Mann–Whitney and Kruskal Wallis tests were used for ordinal data analysis. Logistic regression model were developed, adjusted odds ratios were obtained and their 95% CI were calculated. 2.3% of students‘ parents were actively or very actively involved in students health promotion process. Their activity was significantly related to gender, place of residence, type of child‘s school, its location and school‘ s membership in Health Promoting Schools network. In the latter year, 14.0% of students‘ parents participated in events, 10.3% of parents organized material support. More than 80% of students‘ parents wanted or at least partially wanted to be more involved in the health promotion process at their children‘s school, this wish was significantly related to age, education and place of residence. Students parents had positive expectations about participation in their children‘s health promotion process: 63.6% of the respondents thought that their child would acquire the knowledge needed to strengthen their health, 35.1% of parents said that their child‘s diet would become healthier. Lack of time, knowledge and willingness (78.4%, 23.1% and 22.9%, respectively) prevented the majority of parents from participating more actively in the health promotion process of their children‘. Atsižvelgiant į dabartinę pasaulinę situaciją, pastebimi nerimą keliantys rodikliai, tokie kaip mažėjantis vaikų ir jaunimo fizinis aktyvumas, didėjanti neužkrečiamųjų, lėtinių ligų našta. Lietuvoje pastaruoju metu mokinių sportinis išprusimas silpsta. Mokiniai per mažai sportuoja, mažai domisi sporto pasauliu, negerbia vertybių. Manoma, kad efektyviausias būdas sumažinti šių problemų mastą yra efektyvus vertybių ugdymas. Vertybių ugdymo svarba viduriniojo mokyklinio amžiaus, t. y. paauglystės, laikotarpiu gali būti paaiškinta tuo, kad paaugliai bando rasti savo vietą, pasikeisti patys, kad joje prisitaikytų, ir keisti aplinką, kad pritaikytų sau. Ugdymas, grįstas olimpinėmis vertybėmis, gali ir turi padėti spręsti vaikų ir jaunimo ugdymo problemas. Todėl šis asmenybės amžiaus tarpsnis kelia didelį susidomėjimą ir reikalauja atidaus tyrimo. Nuo to, kokias vertybes jaunoji karta (viduriniojo mokyklinio amžiaus mokiniai) pripažins prasminėmis, tokiomis ir vadovausis gyvenime, o tai reiškia, kad tokia bus ir mūsų visuomenė. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti 7–8 klasių sportuojančių ir nesportuojančių mokinių požiūrį į olimpines vertybes. Tyrimo duomenų rinkimui taikyta anoniminė anketinė apklausa, siekiant atskleisti sportuojančių ir nesportuojančių 7–8 klasių mokinių požiūrį į olimpines vertybes. Tyrime dalyvavo 7–8 klasių mokiniai (N = 266). Tyrimas atskleidė, kad sportuojantiems ir nesportuojantiems mokiniams svarbiausia olimpinė vertybė yra pagarba. Paaiškėjo, kad sportuojančių mokinių meistriškumo vertybės reikšmė (z = –6,108; p = 0,000) statistiškai reikšmingesnė. Kilnus elgesys buvo svarbiausias nesportuojantiems (rangų vidurkis 132,51). Lyginant su nesportuojančiais mokiniais pastebima, kad sportuojantys mokiniai labiau vertino visas olimpines vertybes. Apžvelgus sportuojančių ir nesportuojančių mokinių olimpinių vertybių skirtumus nustatyta, kad meistriškumas (z= –4,284; p = 0,000) buvo statistiškai reikšmingesnis sportuojantiems berniukams. Sportuojančioms mergaitėms statistiškai svarbesnės buvo meistriškumo (z = –4,062; p = 0,000) ir džiaugsmo (z = –2,507; p = 0,012) vertybės nei nesportuojančioms. Given the current global situation, there are worrying indicators such as declining activity, inequality of girls and women, an increasing burden of chronic diseases, and declining time spent on physical education in school curricula. In Lithuania, students’ physical literacy has been declining recently. Students participate too little in sports, have little interest in the world of sports, and do not respect values. An effective process of teaching values is considered to be the most effective way to prevent and reduce social problems. The importance of value education in middle school age – during adolescence, can be explained by the fact that teenagers try to find their place in the world, change themselves to adapt to it, and change the environment to adapt to themselves. Introducing the student to the world of values is an important task of the formal and non-formal education process, which has social and moral value, and the school, as one of the most important institutions for youth education, must look for new and modern forms and methods of working with students. Education based on Olympic values can and must help to address the educational needs of children and young people. Therefore, this stage of the development of the child’s personality, in our opinion, is of great interest and requires careful study. Depending on the values that the younger generation (middle school students) will recognize as meaningful, they will be guided by them in life, which form our future society. Research aim was to investigate the attitudes of 7–8th grade students towards Olympic values. Research methods and organization. In order to implement the research goals and formulated tasks, the following research methods were used in the work: scientific literature analysis, questionnaire survey and statistical analysis. In August-October 2020, a questionnaire survey involving students of 7-8th grade from Klaipėda “Gedminų”, “Vyturio”, “Prano Mašioto” and Tauralaukio progymnasiums was conducted (N = 266 respondents). A review of the differences between athletic and non-athletic students revealed that the value of respect was paramount for both groups. It turned out that the values of excellence (z = –6.108; p = 0.000) were statistically more significant for students who did sports. Fair play was the most important for non-athletes (average rank 132.51). Value of excellence (z = –4.284; p = 0.000) was observed to be statistically more significant in athletic boys than in non-athletic boys. The values of excellence (z = –4.062; p = 0.000), and joy (z = –2.507; p = 0.012) were statistically more important for female athletes than for non-athletes. In comparison with non-sporting students, it is noticeable that athletic students valued all Olympic values more. Keywords: sport, sports activities, Olympic values.

Svetimųjų kalbų mokymo praktikoje „Bendrieji Europos kalbų metmenys“ (BEKM) yra vienas svarbiausių dokumentų, apibrėžiančių svetimųjų kalbų mokymui(si) ir vertinimui aktualius mokėjimo lygius. Bendrieji kalbos mokėjimo lygių aprašai turėtų padėti svetimųjų kalbų pedagogams ir testų rengėjams laikytis vienodos lygių sampratos. Tačiau aprašų interpretavimas ir gebėjimų aptarčių siejimas su empirine medžiaga, t. y. autentiškos kalbos pavyzdžiais, vis dar kelia nemažai aistrų ir ginčų. Šio straipsnio tikslas – aprašyti kalbos testų ir testų atlikčių siejimo su BEKM žingsnius ir remiantis lietuvių K2 mokinių sakytinės kalbos pavyzdžiais pademonstruoti, kaip nustatomas kalbos mokėjimo lygis. Straipsnyje aptariami įvairūs siejimo proceso aspektai ir veiksniai, leidžiantys užtikrinti kalbos mokėjimo lygių prieskyros patikimumą bei objektyvumą. The common points of reference are primarily meant to assist foreign language teachers and test developers striving to adhere to a unified understanding of CEFR levels. Yet it is not uncommon among practitioners to claim a particular level of a task, text or sample of learner performance drawing merely on their individual experience and intuition, with only limited knowledge of the original descriptor scales. The main purpose of this paper is to describe general procedures for relating foreign language tests and learner performances to the CEFR as they are prescribed by the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE). The five stages of the linking process are familiarisation, specification, standardisation training and benchmarking, standard setting and validation. While the full implementation of the linking process is a complex undertaking mostly applied in the context of high stakes examinations, certain stages of the linking process could be implemented by individual language schools and programmes. Benchmarking is one of such stages. It involves identification of illustrative learner performances for different proficiency levels. This is a stage which also has its relevance in daily teaching practice and could be easily incorporated in routine assessment procedures thus increasing foreign language teachers‘ awareness of CEFR levels. Therefore the discussion of the formal linking procedures in this paper is followed by a demonstration of an exercise in benchmarking. It is meant to acquaint the Lithuanian readers with the complexity of the linking process and encourage a more principled approach to level allocations. The exercise in alignment with CEFR levels decribed in this paper involves L2 spoken Lithuanian produced by five foreign learners of young age. Sample performances were taken from a corpus of L2 Lithuanian compiled within the EMVAKA project. Since the subjects are children of 11–12 years, another important challenge in the alignment with the CEFR is children‘s maturity and the necessary adaptation of CEFR descriptors for young learners. Qualitative analysis of five learner samples offers a number of insights into practicalities of linking procedures and discusses ways to ensure reliability and objectivity. Straipsnyje pristatoma savideterminacijos teorija pagrįsta mokytojų (ne)motyvuojančio bendravimo su mokiniais Žiedinio modelio koncepcija. Remiantis projekto „Veiksmingo mokymo(si) paieška: mokinius (ne)motyvuojančio mokytojo elgesio žiedinio profilio vertinimas ir pasekmės (DoIT3)“ (projektą remia Lietuvos mokslo taryba pagal nacionalinę programą „Gerovės visuomenė“, Nr. S-GEV-21-2) metu atlikto tyrimo duomenimis, pateikiamos rekomendacijos švietimo bendruomenės nariams, kaip veiksmingai puoselėti mokinių motyvacinius išteklius ir gerovę. The Circumplex perspective on (de)motivating teaching styles based on Self-determination theory is presented in this paper. Based on the findings of the research project “Towards the effective teaching: the evaluation of (de) motivating teaching strategies and their effects on students’ using Circumplex model” (funded by the Research Council of Lithuania under the National Research Programme Welfare Society, Grant No. S-GEV-21-2) recommendations on how to nourish students’ motivational resources and well-being are provided for professionals working in education. Straipsnyje aptariama, kokių galimybių teikia lietuvių kalbos vadovėliai „Taip“ ir „Pupa“ (išleisti ne vėliau nei 2016 m, kada buvo atnaujinta „Pradinio ugdymo bendroji programa“) pradinių klasių mokinių įgalinimui reflektuoti mokymąsi. Naudojant teminės analizės metodą aptartos dvi temos: 1. užduočių pateikimas ir jų turinys lietuvių kalbos vadovėliuose „Taip“; 2. užduočių pateikimas ir jų turinys lietuvių kalbos vadovėliuose „Pupa“. In Lithuania, the enablement of primary form students to reflect on learning, and especially during lessons of the Lithuanian language, is little investigated. Therefore, this paper discusses what possibilities are provided by student books on the Lithuanian language Taip and Pupa in this process. The method of thematic analysis was used for the analysis of the said student books. The research revealed that student books from the series Taip include high-quality instruments to achieve this aim, i.e., questions for children’s reflections, open-ended sentences, starting from form 1. Even though these elements remain the same in particular forms throughout an entire school year, a teacher can employ them for different purposes. It was also found that high quality instruments included in the Lithuanian language student books Pupa, i.e. questions on reflecting about learning, are introduced respectively from form 2. Like in student books on the Lithuanian language Taip, instruments for particular forms are the same for an entire school year. The research also revealed that instruments presented in student book series on the Lithuanian language Taip and Pupa are highly valuable, as teachers have the possibility to empower school students to reflect on learning during Lithuanian language lessons in many various aspects, such as cognitive, sensitive, and emotional activities, the problem and value of learning, decision-making, etc. Keywords: primary form students, Lithuanian language, learning, student books, children’s reflections.

Klasės valdymas yra vienas iš veiksnių, darančių įtaką mokinių pasiekimams. Teoriniu atžvilgiu galime matyti šešias klasės valdymo prieigas, kurių įvairūs elementai, siekiant koreguoti netinkamą mokinių elgesį, paprastai yra integruojami. Straipsnyje, remiantis į elgesį ir mokymo programą orientuotomis klasės valdymo teorijų įžvalgomis, pristatomi 12-os mokyklų 2020–2021 m. mokymosi duomenys ir analizuojama mokytojo elgesio kintamųjų sąsajos su mokinių matematikos pažangumu. Effective classroom management, setting classroom rules, and responding appropriately to students’ disruptive behaviour comprise some of the most significant factors influencing students’ math achievements. At a theoretical level, we can distinguish six different approaches to classroom management: behavioural, internal control, ecological, discourse, curriculum, and interpersonal relationships. At a practical level, teachers usually integrate elements of all six approaches to correct students’ disruptive behaviour. This paper presents learning data analysis from 12 schools in one city for the period from 2020 to 2021 and analyses the impact of different teacher behavioural variables (frequent assessment, praise, remarks) on students’ mathematical achievements. The primary analysis of learning data shows that students’ achievements in mathematics are not dependent on certain teacher’s behaviour variables managing the classroom. The frequency of assessment, teacher’s praise, and making remarks on students’ behaviour sent to parents or students do not have any impact on mathematics achievements of the latter. However, have been found that teachers are several times more likely to make remarks than praise, although some researchers suggest that praise can be effective. Recognising that classroom management, as one of the highly significant elements of quality teacher’s performance, is a complex phenomenon, further research is needed. This study was funded by a project Learning to Be: Development of Practices and Methodologies for Assessing Social, Emotional and Health Skills within Education Systems (#4120034) in the framework of Erasmus+ KA3 program (582955-EPP-1-2016-2-LT-EPPKA3-PI-POLICY). We are also grateful for funding by the Academy of Finland (#308352) and Finnish Strategic Research Council (#327242)., In recent years, the school curricula in many European countries have introduced social and emotional learning (SEL). This calls for the teachers to have SEL competencies. The present study evaluates teachers’ and their students’ readiness for SEL during an intervention in five European countries. The participants were teachers (n = 402) in five European countries; Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Spain. The pre- and post-measuring points for both the intervention and the comparison group were at approximately the same time before and after the intervention. Comparison data consisted of 159 teachers in the same countries. The training for the intervention group lasted 16 h for the teachers and a maximum of 16 h for the principles and headmasters. An additional 9 h of further monitoring took place. There were two student groups participating in the study: the age group of 8–11 years (pre puberty) and the age group of 12–15-years (adolescents). Students, whose teachers had participated in the intervention, formed the intervention group (n = 2,552). Those students, whose teachers did not participate in the intervention, formed the comparison group (n = 1,730). The questionnaire data were collected at the beginning and at the end of the school year for both age groups. The results indicated that there was a favorable development in the intervention group in some of the measured skills among students, but the effects were different for the two age groups. While many studies explain the contributions of economics and environmental protection to social sustainability, and discuss how to achieve sustainable development (SD) through education, less is known about change processes in order to ensure the sustainable development at school. The authors emphasize that as active members of the school community, students should get involved in the school transformation processes. However, is a contemporary school ready for this? The study aims at answering the following questions: How are students as active participants of educational relationship involved in the change processes and how should their involvement be managed seeking sustainability by examining the education institution located in Lithuania? The findings demonstrate that the process of the student involvement in the school transformation process has been explored applying the qualitative approach strategies (integrated theoretical model for change management and case study) from two points of view: theoretical (by analyzing the documents governing the school transformation process) and practical (by analyzing the reflections of the school principalís in-depth interview concerning the student involvement in school transformation processes). Straipsnyje analizuojama pedagogų nuomonė apie agresyvaus mokinių elgesio apraiškas ir galimas jų pasekmes – AMOK. Tyrimo tikslas – išanalizuoti pedagogų nuomonę apie agresyvų mokinių elgesį ir galimas jo pasekmes – mirtinai pavojingus smurto išpuolius – AMOK. Uždaviniai: 1. Ištirti Klaipėdos „Žemynos“ ir Klaipėdos Eduardo Balsio menų gimnazijos pedagogų nuomonę apie agresyvų mokinių elgesį ir mokytojų veiksmus susidūrus su tokiu mokinių elgesiu; 2. Išsiaiškinti Klaipėdos „Žemynos“ ir Klaipėdos Eduardo Balsio menų gimnazijos pedagogų nuomonę, ar agresyvus mokinių elgesys gali išprovokuoti mirtinai pavojingus smurto išpuolius – AMOK. Tyrimo metodai: teoriniai (mokslinės literatūros analizė), empiriniai (anketinė apklausa raštu), statistinė duomenų analizė. Tyrimo metu nustatyta, kad „Žemynos“ ir Klaipėdos Eduardo Balsio menų gimnazijose egzistuoja agresyvaus mokinių elgesio problema, o dėl nuolatinių mokinių patyčių bei agresijos ir kitose Lietuvos mokyklose gali susidaryti sąlygos kilti mirtinai pavojingiems smurto išpuoliams – AMOK. Daugiau nei pusės tyrime dalyvavusių mokytojų nuomone, mokyklose egzistuoja agresyvaus mokinių elgesio problema, o vaikai norėdami būti populiarūs ir sulaukti daugiau aplinkinių dėmesio dažnai elgiasi agresyviai. Bullying and violence among students are becoming a sensitive issue not only for the school community and parents but also for the society, where is the increase in the growing number of aggressive students. It can cause severe social outcomes or even deadly mass assaults, in this case, AMOK. The aim of the research – to analyse teachers’ opinion on students’ aggressive behaviour and its possible consequences, deadly mass assaults, AMOK. The objectives of the research: 1. To analyse the opinion of teachers, who are working at Klaipėda Žemyna Gymnasium and Klaipėda Eduardas Balsys Art Gymnasium about student’s aggressive behaviour and teachers‘ actions when they are confronted with such student’s behaviour. 2. To reveal the opinion of teachers at Klaipėda Žemyna Gymnasium and Klaipėda Eduardas Balsys Art Gymnasium whether aggressive students’ behaviour can provoke deadly mass assaults, i.e. AMOK. The sample of the research consists of 33 teachers from Klaipėda Žemyna Gymnasium and 41 teachers from Klaipėda Eduardas Balsys Art Gymnasium. The methods of the research: theoretical (the analysis of scientific sources), empirical (a written survey), statistical data analysis. The schools’ community face with the issue of students’ aggressive behaviour, and constant bullying and aggression among students in Lithuanian schools. This may lead to deadly mass assaults – AMOK. The findings of the research show that more than half of the total number of teachers, who participated in the research, believes that the issue of students’ aggressive behaviour exists in schools, as children usually behave aggressively, as want to be popular and get more attention from other people in their environment.

Gabių vaikų ugdymas yra viena iš ugdymo diferenciacijos (diferencijuoto ugdymo) sričių, kurios pagrindinis tikslas – tirti žmones, turinčius specialių / ypatingų gebėjimų. Gabumo problema dabar tampa vis aktualesnė. Tai lemia visuomenės poreikis ugdyti kūrybingas asmenybes. Šiuolaikinės aplinkos neapibrėžtumas reikalauja ne tik aukšto žmogaus aktyvumo lygio, bet ir jo įgūdžių, gebėjimo elgtis nestandartiškai. Akivaizdu, kad ankstyvas gabių vaikų atpažinimas, mokymas ir lavinimas yra vienas iš pagrindinių švietimo sistemos tobulinimo uždavinių. Tačiau nepakankamas psichologinis mokytojų parengimas / pasirengimas dirbti su vaikais, kurie elgiasi ir mąsto nestandartiškai, lemia netinkamą jų asmeninių savybių ir visos veiklos (į)vertinimą. 2021 metų sausio–kovo mėnesiais atliktas kokybinis tyrimas, kuriame dalyvavo 10 bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų mokytojų. Pusiau struktūruoto interviu būdu gauti duomenys buvo išanalizuoti taikant content analizės metodą. Nustatyta, kad didžioji dalis mokytojų geba apibūdinti gabius mokinius, pasitiki savo kompetencija juos identifikuoti. Atskleista, kad egzistuoja tam tikri skirtumai tarp analizuotų mokyklų. Vienos mokyklos sistemingai ir kokybiškai ugdo gabiuosius, o kitose nėra bendrų susitarimų dėl gabiųjų ugdymo, trūksta sistemos, pagalbos mokytojams ir mokiniams. Akivaizdu, kad siekiant gerinti gabių mokinių ugdymo kokybę, reikia atnaujinti švietimo dokumentus, kurie reglamentuoja gabių mokinių ugdymą bei kurti vieningą Lietuvos gabių mokinių ugdymo sistemą, remiantis teigiamais mokyklų pavyzdžiais ir ilgamete jų veiklos patirtimi. The education of gifted students is one of the areas of differentiated education, the main goal of which is to study people with special/particular abilities. The problem of talent is now becoming more and more relevant. This is primarily due to the need of society to develop creative personalities. The uncertainty of the modern environment requires not only a high level of human activity, but also his skills and ability to behave in a non-standard way. It is obvious that the early identification, teaching and education of gifted students is one of the key challenges in improving the education who behave and think in a non-standard way, leads to inadequate assessment of their personal characteristics and all activities. In January-March 2021, a qualitative study was conducted, in which 10 teachers of general education schools participated. Data obtained through semi-structured interviews were analysed using the content analysis method. It has been found that the majority of teachers are able to describe gifted students, trust their competence to identify them. It has been revealed that certain differences exist between the schools analysed. Some schools systematically and qualitatively educate the gifted, while others lack common agreements on the education of the gifted, there is no system, support for teachers and students. Due to the different conditions, not all gifted students receive appropriate support, and the ongoing programmes accept a limited number of students, which creates a problem of access to the quality education of the gifted. Such situation may have arisen due to the lack of a clear state strategy for the education of gifted students, and educational guidelines for schools and teachers. It is obvious that in order to improve the quality of gifted students’ education, it is necessary to update educational documents, that regulate gifted students’ education and create a unified Lithuanian students’ education system based on positive examples of schools and many years of experience. Šiuolaikiniame pasaulyje fizinis aktyvumas yra vienas iš svarbiausių faktorių mūsų gyvenime. 2019 m. prasidėjęs COVID-19 virusas ir jo paplitimas visame pasaulyje labai stipriai paveikė žmonių tiek fizinį, tiek emocinį gyvenimą. Šiame tyrime analizuojamas mokinių fizinis aktyvumas ir emocinė būsena iki ir prasidėjus karantinui. Tyrimo metodika ir organizavimas. Buvo atliktas kiekybinis tyrimas, kuriame dalyvavo 221 respondentas, atsakydamas į klausimus apie fizinį aktyvumą iki ir per COVID-19 bei kaip keitėsi jų emocijos. Mokiniams pateiktos anketinės apklausos klausimyną sudarė 5 dalys: sociodemografiniai duomenys, klausimai apie fizinio ugdymo pamokas iki karantino ir per karantiną, mokinių fizinis aktyvumas (remiantis G. Petronytės (2009) metodika) ir paskutinė anketos dalis buvo skirta mokinių emocinei būsenai įvertinti (remiantis SLURŠ programa (2016) bei K. Šmigelsko ir kt. (2019) tyrimu). Gauti duomenys buvo apdoroti statistinės analizės būdu, patikimumas skaičiuojamas pasitelkiant Chi kvadrato (χ2) kriterijų, kur patikimumo lygis: p 0,05 – nepatikima. Tyrimo rezultatai ir išvados. Tyrimo metu nustatyta, kad iki prasidedant COVID-19 pandemijai, mokiniai buvo aktyvesni, vaikinai buvo aktyvesni už merginas. Didžioji dalis apklaustųjų 14–16 m. amžiaus ir 17–19 m. amžiaus mokiniai prieš karantiną jautėsi energingesni. Fiziškai aktyvesni mokėsi geriau nei pasyvesni. Šiuolaikinio gyvenimo dinamika, skatinanti priverstinę ir savanorišką migraciją pasaulyje ir reikalaujanti tyrėjų dėmesio jos sukeltų problemų kompleksiškumo ir įvairovės analizei, neaplenkė ir švietimo institucijų. Švietimo erdvei tampant vis labiau daugiakalbei ir daugiakultūrei, didėja skaičius vaikų, kurių pirmoji arba namų kalba nėra mokyklos kalba. Šio tyrimo centre – įtraukiančiojo ugdymo komponentų paieška besikeičiančios lingvistinės erdvės kontekste, pateikiant kalbai jautrų mokymą kaip vieną iš galimų šios problemos sprendimo perspektyvų. Tyrimo tikslas – nustatyti būsimų mokytojų požiūrį ir įsitikinimus, patirtį ir gebėjimą rasti kalbai jautraus mokymo įgyvendinimo klasėje sprendimus, kuriant įtraukią aplinką bendrojo lavinimo mokykloje. Duomenys tyrimo analizei rinkti pasitelkiant du kokybinės metodologijos instrumentus – kalbai jautriam mokymui skirtą refleksijos įrankį (sukurtą LISTIAC projekte) ir tikslinės grupės (Focus-group) modelį. Šie instrumentai leido surinkti duomenis keturiais pjūviais – asmeniniu (mokinio ir studento/ studento-mokytojo), didaktiniu (mokytojo), institucijos (mokyklos) ir visuomeniniu. Šiame straipsnyje pristatomi tik pirmieji du problemos pjūviai. Tyrimo rezultatai leidžia daryti išvadas, kad kalbai jautrus mokymas gali būti pasitelkiamas kaip vertingas įtraukiojo ugdymo įgyvendinimo bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose komponentas, sprendžiant daugiakalbės kompetencijos trūkumo problemas. The study focuses on an inclusive learning environment for children whose L1 is different from the language of schooling suggesting linguistically sensitive teaching (LST) as the response to challenges of increasing multilingualism. It aims to identify prospective teachers’ attitudes, beliefs, experiences, and viewpoints on how to achieve inclusive teaching using LST. Two qualitative frameworks – Reflection and Focus-Groups – were used to gather data on four dimensions: personal, instructional, institutional, and societal, two of which are presented here. The findings showed that LST can serve as a valuable component of inclusive general education.

Straipsnyje aiškinamasi, kaip pradinių klasių mokytojos supranta, kas tai yra patirtinis ugdymas, kaip jį taiko praktikoje. Paaiškėjo, kad patirtinį ugdymą mokytojos dažniausiai rekomenduoja antrame pradinės mokyklos koncentre, ir ypač mokant pasaulio pažinimo, nes tuomet mokiniai jau turi sukaupę pakankamą darbo porose, grupėse patirtį, geba dirbti bendradarbiaudami, o pasaulio pažinimo dalykas pasiūlo veikloms labai įvairius ir įdomius, kompleksiškus kontekstus. Pradinių klasių mokytojų patirtis rodo, kada rengiantis patirtinio mokymosi veikloms, labai svarbu pačiam mokytojui gerai išmanyti nagrinėjamą temą, būti išanalizavus mokymosi programą, vadovėlius, kad atsivertų kuo daugiau veiklos galimybių. Jei turinys kontekstualus ir labai įvairus, mokiniams bus daug ir įvairių galimybių sujungti skirtingas patirtis. Jei mokydamiesi mokiniai pasitelkia visus pojūčius ir savo patirtis reflektuoja, rimtai įsitraukia į veiklą, jiems susikurti individualias žinias sekasi lengviau. Ugdomoji veikla turėtų būti orientuota į tris patirtinio mokymosi dimensijas: kognityvinę (pažinimo), efektyviąją (emocijų) ir socialinę (elgesio). Going deeper into the subtleties of experiential education, the aim was – to analyse teachers’ experience in organising experiential teaching/learning for primary school students and to present the discoveries of a novice teacher in conducting experiential educational activities. Five primary school teachers-experts participated in the study. Teachers define experiential learning as the application of knowledge in practice, thus creating stronger links between knowledge and skills. Experiential education is especially recommended by primary school teachers in grades 3-4, and particularly for teaching the world cognition, as students already have sufficient experience working in pairs and groups, are able to work collaboratively, and world cognition offers very diverse and interesting, complex contexts for activities. Teachers notice that preparing for experiential learning activities, it is very important for the teacher himself to have a good knowledge of the topic discussed, to have analysed the curriculum, textbooks, in order to open as many activities as possible. Educational activities involving 17 third graders enriched the beginning teacher with the new experiences and discoveries: for example: if students use all their senses while learning and seriously reflect on their experiences, it is easier for them to create individual knowledge. Straipsnyje pateikiamas mokslinės literatūros apie mokinių fizinio aktyvumo bei sveikos mitybos reikšmę apibendrinimas, taip pat pateikti esminiai aspektai apie artimiausios socialinės aplinkos bei šeimos įtaką mokinių fiziniam aktyvumui ir mitybai. Išanalizavus mokslinę literatūrą, nustatyta, kad pastarąjį dvidešimtmetį fiksuojamas fizinio aktyvumo mažėjimas paauglių tarpe, paauglių mityba dažnai yra nepilnavertė ir tai tampa vis didesne problema, kadangi didėja nutukimo ir įvairių kitų ligų rizika. Taip pat atliktas empirinis kiekybinis tyrimas – tyrime dalyvavo 266 mokiniai iš 8 – 12 klasių. Atlikus empirinį tyrimą nustatyta, kad mokinių mitybos įpročiai nėra tinkami, o fizinis aktyvumas – nepakankamas. Išanalizavus tyrimo duomenis nustatyta, kad tėvų, draugų ir mokytojų įtaka mokinių FA yra nedidelė. Tyrimo duomenimis, tėvai dažniausiai tik kartais skatina mokinius užsiimti fizinio aktyvumo veiklomis, tik kartais kartu su jais užsiima sportu. Taip pat ir draugai, dažniausiai tik kartais pasiūlo sportuoti ir užsiimti aktyviomis veiklomis kartu. Pamokų metu sportu, fizine veikla mokiniai taip pat užsiima retai. Analizės duomenimis, kuo fizinis aktyvumas šeimoje svarbesnis, tuo didesnę įtaką vaikams daro tėvai, bendras pasitenkinimas FA šeimoje yra tuomet kai tėvai skatina vaikus būti fiziškai aktyviais, vaikų informuotumas apie FA yra didesnis tuomet, kai tėvai skatina vaikus būti fiziškai aktyviais. Kuomet šeimoje skiriamas didesnis dėmesys sveikai mitybai, tėvai daro didesnę įtaką vaikų mitybos įpročiams, šeimose, kuriose svarbu kartu maitintis, tėvų įtaka mokinių sveikai mitybai yra didesnė, šeimose, kuriose dažniau diskutuojama apie mitybą, tėvų įtaka vaikų sveikai yra didesnė. The problem of the research is that due to insufficient physical activity and poor eating habits of students, the risk of obesity increases, which can lead to chronic diseases, various psychological and physical health problems. As adolescent habits have a significant impact on later life, malnutrition and lack of physical activity are major health concerns for society. It is important to look for the causes and solutions to these problems. The aim of the research: To determine the correlations between students' physical activity, immediate social environment, nutrition, and family health climate. Research objectives: To determine students' physical activity; to determine the influence of parents, friends and teachers on students' physical activity; to determine the peculiarities of the family health climate; to determine the peculiarities of nutrition of children and their families; to determine the interrelationships between students' physical activity and the immediate social and physical environment. Research methods: analysis and generalization of scientific literature, empirical quantitative research - questionnaire survey; mathematical statistics. Empirical research has shown that students' eating habits are inadequate and their physical activity is inadequate. The analysis of the research data showed that the influence of parents, friends and teachers on students' FA is small. According to an empirical study, in the families of physically active students, the health climate in terms of physical activity is better compared to passive students. According to the analysis, the more important physical activity in the family, the greater the influence of parents on children, overall satisfaction in the FA family is when parents encourage children to be physically active, children are more aware of FA when parents encourage children to be physically active. When the family pays more attention to healthy eating, parents have a greater influence on children's eating habits, in families where it is important to eat together, parents have a greater influence on students' healthy eating, in families where nutrition is discussed more often, parents have a greater influence on children's health. Thus, it is important to promote family time together through physically active activities (e.g., running any projects for families); Disseminate information on healthy and balanced diets through innovative methods and tools (eg mobile apps) that have been shown to be effective and beneficial through a variety of research.

Straipsnyje aprašomo tyrimo objektas – 2019 m. lietuvių kalbos ir literatūros valstybinio brandos egzamino rašinių sintaksės klaidos. Remiantis 300 silpnai ir patenkinamai įvertintų mokinių darbų iš visų 10 Lietuvos apskričių, analizuojama, dėl kurių sintaksės reiškinių vartojimo dvyliktos klasės mokiniams kyla daugiausia sunkumų kuriant nuoseklų struktūruotą tekstą. Apibendrinant tyrimo rezultatus daroma išvada, kad abiturientams daugiausia rūpesčių kelia linksnių ir padalyvio vartojimas. Mokymo(si) procese šiems dalykams turėtų būti skiriama daugiau dėmesio. Based on the syntactic analysis of the essays composed in the course of the matura examination in 2019, the article seeks to answer the following major questions: How well are 12th grade pupils capable of observing the syntactic norms while writing a fluent text? Which syntactic phenomena do pupils find the most troublesome? A quantitative study revealed that the pupils have an insufficient knowledge of syntactic norms. Pupils find case government, the combinability of words, the choice of word forms in a phrase and in a sentence the most troublesome. The greatest syntactic problem is the incorrect use of cases. What is most obvious and problematic concerning case-related mistakes is the use of the instrumental case to express a state instead of the second component of double cases. The expression of the indefinite amount of things and the whole is also rather troublesome (the use of the accusative case instead of the genitive case expressing an indefinite amount or a part). In their essays, pupils often make mistakes in the use of the gerund. The mistakes related to the composition of the complex sentence are also rather numerous. It should be noted that the teaching of language system-related topics should pay adequate attention to the practical issues of language teaching as well as to tasks focusing on the correct usage of the spoken and written language. The errors made by 12th grade pupils show that it is essential to improve the skills of the correct usage of syntactic constructions in the final grades with due regard to the individual needs of pupils and the class.

Analizuojami 2-os klasės mokinių tėvų įsitraukimo į vaikų ugdymo procesą modeliai, kūrybinės veiklos, grindžiamos tėvų ir vaikų bendradarbiavimu, rezultatai. Kartu apžvelgiami 7–11 m. vaiko raidos ypatumai, savarankiškumo ir santykio su tėvais reikšmė mokymosi procesui, bei aptartas tėvų įsitraukimo į nuotolinį ir kontaktinį mokymąsi poveikis vaikams. Minėti klausimai nagrinėjami remiantis moksline ir metodine literatūra, 2021 m. pavasarį atlikta antros klasės mokinių tėvų apklausos duomenimis, bei tuo pat metu atliktu kūrybinės veiklos tyrimu, kuris leido geriau suprasti tėvų įsitraukimo į ugdymo procesą reikšmę vaikui ir jo pasitenkinimui mokymosi procesu. Gauti rezultatai parodė, kad viduriniosios vaikystės vaikams būdingas didėjantis savarankiškumas ir kaita santykiuose su tėvais bei aplinkiniais. Ir nors tai priklauso nuo tėvų įsitraukimo modelio, jų santykio su pačiu vaiku bei paties vaiko savarankiškumo lygmens, visgi, tai turi įtakos vaikų požiūriui į save, mokymosi pasiekimams. The research analyses the models of involvement of parents of 2nd grade students in the process of children's education, creative activities based on cooperation between parents and children. The peculiarities of the development of a child aged 7-11, the significance of independence and relationship with parents in the learning process are reviewed, and the impact of parents' involvement in distance and contact learning on children is discussed. The above-mentioned issues are examined on the basis of scientific and methodological literature, the data of the survey of parents of secondgraders conducted in spring 2021, and a simultaneous study of creative activity, which provided a better understanding of the child's involvement in learning and satisfaction. The analysis of the results of the research revealed that: the parents' opinion about the involvement in the child's educational process is generally positive (they see a lot of meaning and possibilities in it); the joy of learning and enjoyment of the process experienced by a child is determined by many different factors: the child's personal abilities, the level of independence and self-confidence, the degree and relationship between the child and the parents; excessive involvement of parents in creative activities has a negative impact on the child's attitude towards themselves, the learning process and the end result. Aptariami mokinių gebėjimai suprasti gimtąja kalba skaitomo teksto esmę, detales, interpretuoti, rasti argumentus, daryti išvadas; analizuojama, kaip tie gebėjimai atsiskleidžia nelygu teksto tipas, kurie veiksniai šiems gebėjimams daro reikšmingą įtaką. Tiriamoji medžiaga – 3 Vilniaus ir 2 mažų miestų 120 mokinių atsakymai į sociolingvistinį klausimyną ir teksto supratimo testo atliktys. Atlikta kokybinė atsakymų analizė, vėliau taikyti aprašomosios ir išvadų statistikos metodai. The objective of the research was to find out whether the specific reading abilities (to understand the essence of a text, to understand important details, to interpret, to find arguments, to draw conclusions) of Lithuanian eleventh-grade students are equally well developed and whether different abilities manifest equally irrespective of the type of the text. The paper also sought to provide insights as to which sociolinguistic factors have a significant impact on the reading skills of the students. The research material consists of answers of 120 students to the sociolinguistic questionnaire as well as performance results of the reading skills test, which have been analysed using the methods of descriptive statistics and conclusion statistics. The regression analysis has also been carried out. Analysis of the results revealed that the students have best developed the ability to understand important details and find arguments, and most of all they lack ability to properly interpret the thoughts of the text and draw conclusions. In terms of all abilities, a descriptive text was the easiest for the students, and a narrative text was seen by the students as the most complex. Statistically the results of the students from small towns did not differ significantly from the results of Vilnius students (p = 0,247). Straipsnyje aptariami kiekybinio ir kokybinio kompleksinio tyrimo rezultatai („Bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenės mokyklos pažangos samprata, orientuojantis į Geros mokyklos koncepciją“ dalis1). Tyrime dalyvavo bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių atstovai – administracijos atstovai ir mokytojai, 7–12 (I–IV gimnazijos) klasių mokiniai ir jų tėvai. Tyrimo metodai: mokslinės literatūros ir dokumentų analizė, interviu, anketavimas. Anketinės apklausos duomenų statistinė analizė atlikta kompiuterine programa „SPSS Statistics17.0“. Straipsnyje keliama mokslinė problema – nepakankamai atskleistas bendrojo ugdymo mokyklos bendruomenės požiūris į bendruomenę kaip svarbų elementą mokykloje, atliepiant „Geros mokyklos koncepciją“. Tyrimo objektas – bendruomenės samprata mokytojų, mokinių, mokinių tėvų, mokyklos administracijos požiūriu, atliepiant „Geros mokyklos koncepciją“. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti bendruomenės sampratą geroje mokykloje mokytojų, mokinių, mokinių tėvų, mokyklos administracijos požiūriu, atliepiant geros mokyklos koncepciją. Kokybinio tyrimo metu atskleista, kad mokyklos administracijos atstovai, mokytojai, mokiniai, mokinių tėvai kaip vieną iš gerą mokyklą atskleidžiančių požymių įvardijo mokyklos bendruomenę (tik nurodė skirtingus bendruomenės požymius). Tačiau kiekybinis tyrimas parodė, kad mokyklų administracijos atstovai ir mokytojai bendruomenės kaip besimokančios organizacijos nenurodė kaip vieno iš penkių svarbiausių geros mokyklos požymių. Kokybiniu tyrimu atskleistos skirtingos bendruomenės sampratos: mokyklos administracijos atstovai bendruomenei mokykloje, atliepdami „Geros mokyklos koncepciją“ (2015), priskiria daug bruožų, o mokytojai įvardija tik besimokančią bendruomenę; mokinių tėvų nuomone, bendruomenė turi būti kartu diskutuojanti ir kurianti mokyklos strategiją, o mokiniai išskiria bendradarbiaujančios bendruomenės bruožą. Mokyklų administracijos atstovų bendruomenės samprata puikiai atliepia Lietuvos teisės aktuose, mokslinėje literatūroje minimus, susitartus bendruomenės bruožus: besimokanti, reflektuojanti, susitelkusi, bendradarbiaujanti, atvira, empatiškai besirūpinanti kiekvieno nario savijauta. [...] This article addresses the scientific problem that the view of the general education school community towards the wider community as an important element in a good school is not sufficiently elucidated. The following problem-based issues are then formulated: What is the concept of community? Which characteristics of the community are important to the members of the general education school community in a good school? How important is the learning community to the members of the school community in a good school? The object of this research is the concept of community in a good school from the perspectives of teachers, students, parents of students, and school administration, in order to meet the concept of a good school. The aim of this research is to reveal the concept of community in a good school from the perspectives of teachers, students, parents of students, and school administration, in meeting the concept of a good school. The research methods used were: analysis of academic literature and educational documents; structured interviews; and questionnaire. To analyze the interview, content analysis was adopted, (Bitinas, Rupšienė, and Žydžiūnaitė, 2008) which allowed for the formation of conclusions based on the text analyzed. Qualitative content analysis was used to analyze the interview data, which allowed for the drawing of conclusions based on the text analyzed. This method of analysis was based on systematic analytical steps: multiple readings of records; and the systematic interpretation of distinguished categories and subcategories and their justification based on the evidence from the transcribed texts – i.e., the confirmatory statements. According to the qualitative research methodology, the confirmatory statements are extracts from answers provided by the participants which cannot be changed by the researcher; therefore, they are quoted exactly as given by the participants. The initial interview data was handled in such a way as to ensure that it was impossible to identify the persons involved in the study. The research was organized and data analysis was carried out and presented based on the principles of qualitative research ethics: ensuring respect for individual privacy, confidentiality, and anonymity, with goodwill and justice. The statistical analysis of the questionnaire survey was performed using the SPSS Statistics17.0 software. Pearson’s non-parametric chi-squared (χ2) test was also applied, which helped to identify the statistical independence of variables. A number of conclusions were thereby reached. The qualitative study revealed that school administration representatives, teachers, students, and parents identified the school community among the traits that revealed a good school, but differed on what constitutes a good community. However, the quantitative survey revealed that school administration and teachers did not name community as one of the five most important signs of a good school. Qualitative research revealed different concepts of community: school administration representatives attributed many features to a community in a good school, but teachers named only the learning community. In the opinion of parents, the community must be involved in discussing and developing school strategy, and students distinguished its cooperative nature as the main feature of the community. The concept of community as understood by school administration representatives perfectly responds to the agreed features of the community mentioned in Lithuanian legal acts and scientific literature – learning, reflective, focused, cooperative, open, and empathetically caring about the well-being of each member. The concept of community in other school community target groups (teachers, students, and parents of students) in a good school is fragmented.

Aukštojo mokslo įstaigos stengiasi pritraukti studijuoti gabiausią ir perspektyviausią šalies jaunimą. Mokslininkai siekia nustatyti sėkmingą perėjimą nuo bendrojo ugdymo prie aukštojo mokslo studijų lemiančius veiksnius. Viena iš aktualių problemų yra pagrindinio ugdymo pasiekimų patikrinimo (PUPP) ir valstybinių brandos egzaminų (VBE) svarba prognozuojant galimybes studijuoti aukštosiose mokyklose. Tyrime apskaičiuotos įstojimo į aukštąsias mokyklas galimybės žinant matematikos ir lietuvių kalbos ir literatūros PUPP ir VBE rezultatus. Buvo analizuoti penkerių metų (2014–2018 m. brandos egzaminų) rezultatai, atsižvelgiant į lyties, vietovės, kurioje lankyta mokykla, socialinės padėties ir specialiųjų poreikių rodiklius. Iš tyrimo rezultatų matome, kad matematikos brandos egzamino pažymys yra beveik dvigubai svarbesnis nei 10 klasės testo įvertinimas vertinant šansus studijuoti aukštojoje mokykloje. Taip pat nustatyta, jog lietuvių kalbos ir literatūros egzaminų rezultatai yra dvigubai svarbesni vyrams nei moterims. Nuo 2023 ar 2024 m. Lietuvoje galime pradėti matyti asmenų, įgijusių aukštąjį išsilavinimą, dalies mažėjimo tendenciją. Academic institutions are seeking to attract the most capable and prospective students. Many research studies seek to identify factors determining a successful transition from secondary to tertiary education. One of the important issues is the predictive value of national testing/Matura examination results in relation to higher education institutions admission. The aim of our study is to quantify the odds to study at university and the results of centralised student assessments (the 10th grade and Matura) of mathematics and the Lithuanian language and literature for the period of five years (Matura examinations for the period 2014–2018), taking into account the student’s gender, the location of the school attended, social support, and special needs indicators. We estimate that the Matura grade in mathematics is almost double more important when compared to the10th grade test results for odds of studying at higher education institutions. Grades of the Lithuanian language and literature obtained to be twice more import for males than females. From 2023 or 2024, we may observe the downward trend of people with tertiary educational attainment in Lithuania. The present study was aimed at investigating whether student-teacher relationship plays a role in the link between social competence and involvement in bullying in the 1st grade. Subjects were 408 Lithuanian 1st graders, 225 girls and 183 boys. Analysis of results using structural equation modeling releaved that bullying behavior was directly predicted by learning-related social competence, while interpersonal social competence was linked to bullying behavior via student-teacher closeness. Bullying victimization was linked to learning-related social competence via student-teacher relationship conflict. Pastaruoju metu vis plačiau nagrinėjamas neurodidaktikos indėlis švietime, kuris grindžiamas neuromokslų integravimu į ugdymosi procesą. Mokslinėje literatūroje išskiriami keturi neurodidaktikos principai, t. y. naujos informacijos siejimas su turima; kartojimas; teigiamos emocijos; informacijos įsisavinimas per kelis pojūčius yra reikšmingi ugdant ir mokinių kalbinius gebėjimus. Atsižvelgiant į žymiai prastesnius tautinių mažumų mokinių lietuvių valstybinės kalbos mokymosi rezultatus bei reaguojant į nuo 2016 m. įsigalėjusią vienodą Lietuvių kalbos pradinio ugdymo programą tiek lietuviškų mokyklų, tiek tautinių mažumų mokyklų mokiniams, siekiama ieškoti tikslingų ir neuromokslais pagrįstų kalbos ugdymo(si) būdų. Todėl šio tyrimo tikslas − teoriškai pagrįsti ir empiriškai ištirti pradinių klasių mokinių kalbinių gebėjimų ugdymą(si) taikant neurodidaktikos principus. Tyrimo tikslui realizuoti taikyta fenomenografinė tyrimo strategija, pasitelkiant pusiau strukūruotus interviu. Empirinių duomenų analizė atlikta taikant content analizės būdą. Gauti rezultatai leidžia teigti, kad pamokų metu dažniausiai orientuojamasi tik į du pojūčius – regą ir klausą, kurių pagrindu siekiama ugdyti kalbinius gebėjimus. Tuo tarpu, kartojant išmoktą medžiagą klasėje, yra ugdomi visi kalbiniai gebėjimai, tačiau, kartojant namuose, yra koncentruojamasi tik į kurį nors vieną iš gebėjimų. Taip pat atskleista, kad tautinių mažumų mokiniams neigiamas emocijas sukelia kalbėjimas valstybine kalba. Neurodidactics, which is grounded on integration of neurosciences into the educational process, and its contribution to education have been more and more extensively analysed lately. The scholarly literature distinguishes four principles of neurodidactics: linking of new information with the already possessed one; revision; positive emotions; information assimilation employing several senses is important for development of school learners’ linguistic abilities. Taking into account significantly lower learning outcomes of Lithuanian as the state language, which were observed among national minority learners, and responding to the unified primary education curriculum of Lithuanian language for schools with Lithuanian as the language of instruction and for national minority schools, which entered into force in 2016, attempts are made to search for well-targeted and neuroscience-based ways of language education. Therefore, the goal of the research is to theoretically substantiate and empirically investigate the development of primary learners’ linguistic abilities applying neurodidactic principles. The phenomenographic research strategy was used to attain the research goal employing the semi-structured interview with Lithuanian teachers from national minority schools. The empirical data was analysed applying the content analysis. The obtained results allow stating that during the lessons only two senses (i.e., sight and hearing) are mainly considered aiming at development of linguistic abilities. While revising the material learnt in the classroom, all the linguistic abilities are developed but revising this material at home the focus is laid only on one of the abilities. It was also revealed that speaking the state language evoked negative emotions to national minority learners. Pastaruoju metu vis plačiau kalbant apie į vaiką orientuotą ugdymą(si), ieškoma strategijų, leidžiančių ugdymo procese įprasminti autentišką vaiko patirtį. Viena iš ugdymo(si) strategijų, geriausiai išryškinančių vaiko patirties reikšmę, yra patirtinis mokymasis. Patirtinio ugdymo strategijoje pabrėžiamas mokymasis, kuris pasitelkia veiklą, siekiant kiekvieną vaiką ugdyti akademiškai, fiziškai, kultūriškai ir dvasiškai jį palaikančioje ugdymo įstaigoje, bendruomenėje, sudarant vaikui galimybę pasinaudoti jo turima patirtimi (Luckner, Nadler, 1997; Braslauskienė, Norvilienė, Šmitienė, Vismantienė, 2018). Užsienio ir Lietuvos autoriai vis dažniau teoriškai pagrindžia mokinių autentiškos patirties svarbą ugdymo procese. Vis dėlto trūksta tyrimų, atskleidžiančių, kokiais būdais mokinio turimą autentišką patirtį galima įprasminti jau pradinio ugdymo procese, kai dedami mokymosi pagrindai, išliekantys svarbūs visą gyvenimą. Dėl to šiame tyrime yra keliamas tikslas atskleisti, kokiais būdais galima įprasminti mokinio autentišką patirtį pradinio ugdymo procese. Tyrimo tikslui pasiekti atlikta apklausa raštu, kurioje dalyvavo įstaigos, aktyviai taikančios patirtinio mokymosi principus pradinio ugdymo procese, pedagogai ir vadovė (iš viso 6 informantai). Tyrimo duomenims analizuoti pasirinkta kokybinė turinio analizė. Empirinio tyrimo metu gautų duomenų analizė atskleidė, kad ugdymo įstaigoje, kurioje buvo atliktas tyrimas, mokinio autentiškai patirčiai yra skiriama daug dėmesio. Siekiant įprasminti mokinių turimą patirtį pradinio ugdymo procese naudojami įvairūs mokymosi būdai, padedantys identifikuoti jau turimą mokinių patirtį ir ją plėtoti. Pedagogų nuomone, mokinių patirties įprasminimas ypač pasireiškia dienos, skirtos stimuliacijai ir patirčiai, veiklose. Šią dieną mokiniai tyrinėja, eksperimentuoja, pritaiko turimas ir įgytas žinias praktiškai, vyksta į išvykas, kurių metu įtvirtina įgytas žinias. Atskleista, kad siekiant įprasminti mokinio turimą patirtį yra svarbus mokinio aktyvus veikimas tiek pedagogų inicijuotose veiklose, tiek ir vaikams prisidedant prie paties ugdymo(si) proceso organizavimo. Recently, with an increasing focus on child-centered education, strategies to make the child’s experience meaningful in the educational process are being sought. One of the educational strategies, that highlights the importance of the child’s experience best, is experiential learning. The experiential education strategy emphasizes learning, through the ctivities that develop each child academically, physically, culturally and spiritually in the educational institution and community, supports him or her, giving the child the opportunity to benefit from his or her experience (Luckner, Nadler, 1997; Braslauskienė, Norvilienė, Šmitienė, Vismantienė, 2018). Foreign and Lithuanian authors have been increasingly theoretically substantiating the importance of students’ authentic experience in the educational process. However, there is a lack of research that reveals the ways in which the student’s authentic experience can be made meaningful already in the process of primary education, when the foundations of learning that remain relevant throughout life are laid. Therefore, the aim of the present research is to reveal the ways in which the student’s authentic experience can be made meaningful in the process of primary education. In order to achieve the research aim a written survey was conducted, in which the teachers and the head of the institution, where the principles of experiential learning where actively applied the in the process of primary education, participated (6 informants in total). Qualitative content analysis was chosen for research data analysis. The analysis of data obtained in this empirical research revealed that in the educational institution, where the research was conducted, much attention is paid to the student’s authentic experience. In order to make students’ experience meaningful in primary education, various learning methods, that help to identify the experience the students already have and develop it, were used,. According to the teachers, the process of making the students’ experience meaningful is especially evident in the activities of the day allocated for stimulation and experience. On this day, students examine, experiment, apply the knowledge they have and acquire in practice and go on trips, during which they consolidate the acquired knowledge. It was revealed that in order to give meaning to the experience the student has, it is important for the student to be active in both the activities initiated by teachers and in children’s contribution to the organization of the educational process.

Straipsnyje pristatomas 2018 m. vykdytas tyrimas, kuriame dalyvavo bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių atstovai – administracijos atstovai ir mokytojai, 7–12 (I–IV gimnazijos) klasių mokiniai ir jų tėvai. Tai kompleksinio tyrimo „Bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenės mokyklos pažangos samprata, orientuojantis į Geros mokyklos koncepciją“ dalis1. Mokyklų bendruomenių, kaip svarbaus veiksnio kuriant gerą mokyklą, požiūris į mokyklos pažangai svarbias inovacijas Lietuvoje netyrinėtas. Straipsnyje keliama mokslinė problema – nepakankamai tyrinėjama kokios inovacijos, bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių požiūriu, yra svarbios mokyklų pažangai. Keliami probleminiai klausimai, kokios inovacijos yra svarbios mokyklų pažangai, mokyklų bendruomenių požiūriu; kokias inovacijas, kaip svarbias mokyklos pažangai, išskiria mokyklų bendruomenių skirtingų grupių atstovai? Todėl tyrimo objektas – bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių požiūriu svarbios inovacijos mokyklų pažangai. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių požiūriu svarbias inovacijas mokyklų pažangai. Tyrimo metodai: mokslinės literatūros ir dokumentų analizė, interviu. Išanalizavus bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų administracijos, mokytojų, mokinių ir jų tėvų išskirtas mokyklos pažangai svarbias inovacijos galima išskirti į dvi kategorijas: 1) susijusias su mokyklos bendruomenės veikla; 2) susijusias su mokyklos materialinės bazės tobulinimu. Mokyklų administracijos atstovai ir mokytojai inovacijas, svarbias mokyklos pažangai, sieja su dalyvavimu projektinėje veikloje; ugdymo(si) proceso tobulinimu; mokytojų tobulinimusi; asmens pasiekimų ir pažangos vertinimo sistema; bendruomenės gebėjimu bendradarbiauti; mokyklos erdvių atnaujinimu; modernių įrenginių ir priemonių įsigijimu. Tačiau mokinių tėvai mokyklos pažangai svarbias inovacijas išskiria šias: pokyčiai ugdymo(si) proceso tobulinime; mokytojų tobulinimasis; bendradarbiaujanti bendruomenė; mokyklos erdvių atnaujinimas; modernių įrenginių ir priemonių įsigijimas. Mokiniai įvardija dar mažiau mokyklos pažangai svarbių inovacijų, tai pokyčiai ugdymo(si) proceso tobulinime; mokyklos erdvių atnaujinimas; modernių įrenginių ir priemonių įsigijimas. The article presents a quality research – a interview performed in 2018, which involved representatives of general education school management and teachers, as well as 7-12 grade gymnasium students and their parents. To analyze the interview, the content analysis was adapted, (Krippendorff, 1980, Mayring, 2000, Bitinas, Rupšienė, Žydžiūnaitė, 2008,) which allowed to make conclusions based on the analyzed text. The current study is a part of the research “T he Conception of School Community of General Education School Progress in terms of the Good School Concept”. There wear any research made which would let make prognoses how school’s communities in Lithuania (teachers, administration, parents and students) might respond to innovations, which are important for school’s progress. The article addresses the scientific problem the lack of research into what innovations, in terms of mainstream school communities, are important to school progress. The problematic questions are: what innovations, as important to the school’s progress, are distinguished by the various school community groups? How do school community members relate school innovation to school progress? This is why research object – general education school’s communities’ attitude to innovation is important to their school’s progress. After analyzing schools’ administrations’, teachers’, students’ and then parents answers about the most important and most needed innovations in schools, we can separate them to two groups 1) ones which are connected to school’s community’s involvement; 2) those which involves materialistic and financial side of school’s improvement. Representatives of schools’ administration and teachers connect innovations, which are important for school’s development with events, participation in projects, development of learning process and teaches’ qualifications growth. Also with a system to measure personal achievement and progress, community’s ability to communicate and work together, renovation of school’s space and last, but not least, administration’s willingness to Purchased new, innovative equipment. However, students, parents emphasize, that changes have to be made for school’s progress. For example, school’s communities have to work on improvement of the educational programs, process and teachers qualification. What is more, community which is ready to work together has to be formed. They agreed with a need to renovate spaces and get more modern technologies. Students also expressed their opinion on this topic and they choose renovation, changes in learning processes and technologies as their main solutions in order how to improve their school.

Straipsnyje pristatomas bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių požiūris į skelbiamos bendrojo ugdymo mokyklos (toliau – Mokyklos) pažangos paskirties suvokimą. Stinga mokslinio tyrinėjimo aiškinantis koks Mokyklų bendruomenių požiūris į pažangos skelbimo paskirtį. Keliami probleminiai klausimas - kaip bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių nariai suvokia Mokyklos pažangos skelbimo paskirtį, koks jų požiūris į tai, kokia teisinė bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų prievolė skelbti savo pažangą. Nacionalinis siekis, kad 2022 m. visos bendrojo ugdymo mokyklos skelbtų savo Mokyklos pažangos ataskaitas, tačiau kaip nurodoma ir naujausiose švietimo ataskaitose, prie šio siekinio artėjama per lėtai. Todėl tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių požiūrį į Mokyklos pažangos skelbimą. Tyrimo objektas – bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių požiūris į Mokyklos pažangos skelbimą. 2018 m. vykdytas interviu, kuriame dalyvavo bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių atstovai - administracijos atstovai ir mokytojai, 7–12 (I–IV gimnazijos) klasių mokiniai ir jų tėvai. Analizuojant švietimo teisinius dokumentus atskleista, kad bendrojo ugdymo mokyklos nėra aiškiai privalomai įpareigotos skelbti savo mokyklų pažangą, tačiau tai yra švietimo strateginė siekiamybė, kaip vienas iš šiuolaikinės, geros mokyklos požymių. Remiantis bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų administracijos, mokytojų, tėvų ir mokinių duomenimis, mokyklos pažanga yra skelbiama dėl išorinių ir vidinių veiksnių, taip pat atskleistas skirtingas Mokyklų bendruomenių požiūris į Mokyklos pažangos skelbimą. Visos bendrojo ugdymo mokyklos bendruomenės grupės (mokyklų administracijos atstovai, mokytojai, mokiniai ir mokinių tėvai) kalbėdamos apie išorinius Mokyklos pažangos skelbimo veiksnius įvardina viešumo principo atliepimą. Mokyklų administracijos atstovai ir mokiniai mokyklos pažangos skelbimą sieja ir su naujų mokinių pritraukimu. Tačiau mokyklų administracijų atstovų tyrimu atkleista nepakankamai suvokta Mokyklos pažangos skelbimo paskirtis (viešumas, atskaitomybė prieš visuomenę ir kt.), nebuvo įvardintas mokymosi vienas iš kitų aspektas ir aiškiai išsakyta abejonė dėl skelbimo tikslingumo (skelbiama, nes šiuo metu to reikia švietimą koordinuojančioms organizacijoms). Įvardinami vidiniai veiksniai atkleidžia Mokyklų skelbiamos mokyklos pažangos aktualumo suvokimą, išskirtos kategorijos: dėl pasidžiaugimo ir įkvėpimo tobulėti, dėl pasidžiaugimo ir įsipareigojimo; dėl mokymosi vienas iš kito. Mokytojai, mokiniai, jų tėvai Mokyklos pažangos skelbimą sieja su mokymusi vienas iš kito, tačiau nei vienas administracijos atstovas to neįvardino. Mokiniai ir jų tėvai mano, kad Mokyklos pažangos skelbimas leidžia pasidžiaugti rezultatais ir įkvepia daryti dar daugiau, patvirtina ir nuramina, kad teisingu keliu einama, tačiau mokyklų administracija tai sieja su vidiniais įsipareigojimais – pasidžiaugti, bet kartu ateina įsipareigojimas kitą kartą daryti dar geriau. The article „Perception of the progress announced by general education schools: a community approach” presents School’s progress and its dissemination from the viewpoint of general education school community. Thus, for almost three decades, Lithuania has been developing its own educational system after the Restoration of its Independence. The Restoration of the Independent State of Lithuania on March 11, 1990, prompted a systemic reform of all areas of education. This transformation of education in Lithuania was stimulated by internal (factors that existed in the system of education itself) and sociocultural (factors from other socio-cultural areas of life). According to the national rapports Lithuanian education had to model and develop a new concept of education goals, objectives, structures, curriculum, methods, strategies, which Western European countries had been developing for decades, constantly changing, refining, reforming. The article addresses the scientific problem that the There is a lack of research, concerning the general education school community‘s approach towards student›s education results, as a significant sign of progress. National goal for 2020 is that all general education schools would announce their progress report but according to studies changes are too slow. This is why aim of research is to analyze general education school community attitude to school’s progress announcements. The object of the research is the attitude of general education school communities to the announcement of school progress 2018 m. The current study (Perception of the progress announced by general education schools: a community approach) is development (described in more detail) part of the research “The Conception of School Community of General Education School Progress in terms of the Good School Concept” (from V. Targamadzė, G. Žibėnienė and J. Česnavičienė). The article presents a quality research – a interview performed in 2018, which involved representatives of general education school management and teachers, as well as 7-12 grade gymnasium students and their parents. With the help of purposeful sampling there were chosen comprehensive schools that delegated one parent each who had a child studying in grades 7-12 and were acquainted with the school activities. The criteria applied for the selection of comprehensive schools were as follows: comprehensive schools had to be from different regions of the country: schools in a city; schools in a big town; schools in a town and in a village; comprehensive schools according to different founders: state and public institutions. When analyzing the perception of the progress announced by general education schools, we must remember, the fact that a school is an organization operating in a complex and changing social environment and involving many different society groups, such as school administration, teachers, students, parents and other society. Based on the idea already found in the Good School Concept (2015) that the education in Lithuania is founded on close collaboration between the family, school and society. The research methods were used: analysis of academic literature and educational documents, structured interviews. To analyze the interview, the content analysis was adapted, (Bitinas, Rupšienė, Žydžiūnaitė, 2008,) which allowed to make conclusions based on the analyzed text. The qualitative content analysis was used to analyze the interview data, which allowed to draw conclusions based on the analyzed text. This method of analysis was based on systematic analytical steps: multiple readings of records, systematic interpretation of distinguished categories and subcategories and their justification based on the evidence from the transcribed texts – the confirmatory statements. According to the qualitative research methodology, the confirmatory statements are extracts from answers provided by the participants which cannot be changed by the researcher; therefore, they are quoted exactly as given by the participants. The initial interview data was handled in such a way as to ensure that it was impossible to identify the persons involved in the study. The research was organized, data analysis was carried out and presented based on the principles of qualitative research ethics: insuring the respect for individual privacy, confidentiality and anonymity, with goodwill and justice. While analyzing legal documents concerning education, it was revealed that there is no clear obligation for general education schools to publish the progress of their schools. Legislation (Good School Concept, 2015; State Strategy for Education 2013–2022) identifies the announcement of the progress of general education schools as an aspiration to achieve educational progress as one of the features of a modern, good school. According to general education school administration’s, teachers’ parents’ and students’ data, schools progress is announced because of external and internal factors, moreover, was revealed school community attitude to school progress announcement. All general education school community groups mention the external factors of school progress as a response to the principle of publicity (indicated by all target groups - school administration representatives, teachers, pupils and parents of parents. School administration and pupils also associate school progress with attracting new pupils. [...].

Sveikatos raštingumas – svarbi ir dar mažai tyrinėta visuomenės sveikatos sritis. Ribotas sveikatos raštingumas susijęs su blogesne sveikatos būkle ir didesnėmis sąnaudomis. Paauglystės laikotarpiu susiformavusi sveikatos elgsena turi įtakos suaugusiųjų sveikatos rezultatams, todėl svarbu plėtoti ir vertinti visuomenės sveikatos intervencijas, kurios skatintų geresnį paauglių ir jaunimo sveikatos informacijos supratimą ir jos panaudojimą. Tyrimo tikslas. Nustatyti pagrindinių ir vidurinių mokyklų 11-12 bei gimnazijų III-IV (toliau – 11-12; III-IV) klasių mokinių rūkymo ir sveikatos raštingumo sąsajas. Tyrimo metodai. Anoniminės anketinės apklausos metodu buvo apklausti 1038 Lietuvos mokyklų 11-12; III-IV klasių mokiniai. Sveikatos raštingumo lygiui įvertinti naudotas išsamus 47 klausimų Sveikatos raštingumo tyrimo klausimynas HLS-EU-Q47, išverstas į lietuvių kalbą [20]. Kitą anketos dalį sudaro socialiniai demografiniai klausimai ir klausimai apie rūkymą. Statistinė analizė atlikta naudojant statistinių duomenų apdorojimo programas SPSS, Microsoft Excel ir WinPepi. Kategorinių duomenų analizei buvo naudojamas chi kvadrato (χ2) kriterijus ir Fisher palyginimo testas. Dviems nepriklausomoms ranginėms imtims naudotas Mann-Whitney U testas, o kelioms nepriklausomoms ranginėms imtims – Kruskal-Wallis testas. Ryšiams tarp ranginių kintamųjų nustatyti buvo naudojamas Spearmen koreliacijos koeficientas (rs). Rezultatai. Daugiau kaip pusės (53,3 proc.) mokinių sveikatos raštingumo lygis buvo pakankamas arba puikus, o kas 10 mokiniui nustatytas neadekvatus sveikatos raštingumo lygis. Purpose– The purpose of the article is to describe the transformations in the perceptions of the consequences of the use of psychoactive substances between 9-12’th grades pupils in the context of the implementation of the psychoactive substances abuse prevention program “My Way”. Research methodology– the authors performed a quasi-experiment and according to the methodological requirements related to the use of such scientific method in the educology studies, used an unequal control group and the primary/initial (pre-test) as well as final (post-test) measurements to achieve the aim of the research/article. Findings– the data of the quasi-experiment research showed that as the whole after intervention the pupil’s perceptions about the use of psychoactive substances in the experimental group has changed; the pupils who were assigned to the control group assessed the effects of the use of psychoactive substances better than those who were assigned to the control group. Research limitations– during the implementation of the program and the experiment, the activities related to the quasi-experiment were held only by social pedagogues in certain selected schools and classes (considering various factors such as the behaviour of children or their attributability to the families at social risk). Accordingly, in the next similar studies, children can be sampled evenly, without differentiating them based on their behavioural problems. Practical implications– the results of the research could be used in practice in the following ways: (i) by motivating the schools of general education in the Republic of Lithuania to choose prevention programs as the purposeful and meaningful instrument to develop healthy life skills; (ii) to develop and expand the range of new prevention programs based on the experience of the program “My Way” which is presented and evaluated in this article. Originality/Value– there are no similar previous educological and other educational science studies (in Lithuania) how the pupils’ attitudes change during the pre-planned and systematically implemented preventive activities in general education schools; the article presents and outlines the experience and practice of the first such Lithuanian program for the prevention of psychoactive substance abuse (“My Way”).

The present study was aimed at investigating aspects of social functioning linked to academic achievement in the 1st grade. Subjects were 380 Lithuanian 1st graders, 211 girls and 169 boys. Social factors measured included student social competence, student-teacher relationship, and popularity in class. Regression analysis revealed that learning-related social competence – ability to take directions - was a strongest predictor, accounting for 28.7% of variance in academic achievement

Surveys on education intended to test student learning achievement often analyse which educational environment factors have the biggest impact on student achievement. Determination of such factors and assessment of their impact is important in order to control the change in student achievement. Most surveys showed that student achievement is influenced by economic home environment factors, and student’s socio-economic status. The purpose of this article is to analyse impact of socio-economic home environment of Lithuania’s students on learning achievement. Lithuania is a country of limited economic resources. Therefore, it is interesting to analyse whether student’s home socio-economic environment has the same significant impact on learning achievements of Lithuania’s students as the results of surveys in other – and often more rich – countries show. Moreover, it is important to analyse which specific aspects of home environment have stronger or weaker impact on student achievement. Quantitative approach was used for the research. Survey and test were used for data collection.

The purpose of the present study was to discuss the way of organizing free lunch at public schools as an important precondition for social equality and sustainability in school, by revealing acute forms of social disjunction in Lithuanian schools as a major incongruity with Children Rights, and an obstacle to the achievement of general education goals. The objective of the study: to study the experience of pupils subject to free lunch in public schools, as well as the experience and viewpoints of pedagogues involved in the organization of free lunch in relation to social equality and sustainable schooling. A qualitative research was conducted in several Lithuanian schools focusing on the experience of the pupils, who had the privilege of having cost-free lunch at schools, as well as the pedagogues involved in organizing free lunch. The research data indicated the violation of children’s rights to healthy nutrition, as the respondents complained about the quality and the way of implementation of free lunch in schools. The research data revealed some discriminatory practices of separate queues to provide dishes to pupils from needy families, and limited or lacking opportunities for them to choose dishes. The analysis of the research data led to the recommendation to professionally assess the correspondence of the organization of free meals in the aspects of effectiveness, legal regulation and ethics with children’s needs.

Lietuvoje yra gana nusistovėjęs visos bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų aplinkos reikalavimų „paketas“ – ugdanti, saugi, funkcionali, ergonomiška, estetiška. Straipsnyje analizuojamas mokyklos estetinės ugdymo(si) aplinkos ir mokinių meninės saviraiškos santykis. Keliamas probleminis klausimas – ar kuriant estetinę ugdymo(si) aplinką mokykloje galima ugdyti mokinių meninę saviraišką? Šio straipsnio tikslas – atskleisti mokyklos estetinės ugdymo(si) aplinkos ir mokinių meninės saviraiškos sąsajas. Straipsnyje apžvelgiami ir analizuojami Lietuvos švietimo dokumentai apie ugdymo(si) aplinkas ir Lietuvos bei užsienio autorių tyrimai apie įvairias mokyklos ugdymo(si) aplinkas, mokyklų ugdymo(si) aplinkos įtaką mokinių mokymuisi ir estetinį mokinių santykį su mokyklos ugdymo(si) aplinkomis. Išryškinamos mokyklų estetinės ugdymo(si) aplinkos ir meninės saviraiškos sąsajos. Straipsnyje aptariami Lietuvos mokyklų ugdymo(si) erdvių modernizavimo ypatumai ir galimybės. Taikant pavyzdžių apžvalgos metodą analizuojami įgyvendintų „svajonių mokyklos“ projektų pavyzdžiai Lietuvoje ir užsienyje. For a child, the school is like a separate “state” in which they are fully educated and influenced by a variety of environments, including aesthetic education. The significance of the environment in which the learner lives, matures, and creates has been found to be enormous. In Lithuania, there is a well-established “package” of environmental requirements for general education schools – educating, safe, functional, ergonomic, aesthetic. This article analyzes the relationship between the aesthetic education environment of the school and pupils’ artistic expression. Is it possible to develop the artistic self-expression of pupils in schools when creating an environment for aesthetic education? And is this a problematic question? The purpose of this article is to reveal the link between the aesthetic education environment of schools and pupils’ artistic expression. The following methods were used in the article: (1) an analysis of educational documents and scientific literature and (2) a review and comparative analysis of the realized projects. The educational document analysis method was used to review and analyze Lithuanian educational documents on school education environments. The analysis of educational documents on the educational environment of schools has led to the conclusion that a great deal of attention is paid to the ergonomic, functional, and aesthetic planning of educational spaces. The aim here is to create high standards for school education. The creativity of students, as well as the contribution of artistic self-expression, are identified as important aspects in creating an aesthetic education environment. The link between the creation and development of such an environment, and the involvement of the educational process participants in the creation of such spaces are emphasized. The creation of an aesthetic education environment in schools is more associated with visual and applied art. In applying the method of scientific literature analysis, this study includes a review of research conducted by Lithuanian and foreign authors about various school education environments, the influence of school education(s) on pupils’ learning, the aesthetic relationship of pupils with school education and the aesthetic education of schools; links between environmental and artistic activity are established. This article discusses the peculiarities and possibilities of modernizing the educational spaces of Lithuanian schools. After the analysis of scientific literature on the educational environment, it was concluded that the topics of the school educational environments were relevant to Lithuanian and foreign scientists. The environmental impact of school education was proven on the basis of a multi-faceted study; the concept of an aesthetic education environment has been revealed, its significance for personality development emphasized. The conclusion is that the aesthetic educational environment of a school can influence the formation of the students’ aesthetic attitudes. The active artistic expression of pupils can be provided by educators with certain conditions for their activities, or pupils can develop joint initiatives contributing to the creation of an aesthetic education environment. After discussing the modernization of the educational spaces of Lithuanian schools, an important link was identified between the creation of educational spaces and pupils’ artistic expression. The analysis of educational documents and scientific literature scientifically substantiated the link between the aesthetic environment of a school and pupils’ artistic expression. Examples of certain “dream school” projects in Lithuania and abroad were analyzed using the sample review method. [...] An overview of implemented Lithuanian and foreign architectural examples (analogues) has revealed the connection between the aesthetic environment of a school and the artistic expression of the pupils: 1) Students are encouraged to create and participate in the creation of an aesthetic education environment through visual and applied art; 2) Music, dance, and self-expression are promoted in school spaces; 3) The community is involved in the school design process. By comparing Lithuanian and foreign (analogous) examples, it may be stated that Lithuanian schools are wellplanned and meet high standards. The interior spaces could be more colorful and playful. In the cases of foreign (analogous) countries, internal spaces are more characterized by informal seating places, vibrant and colorful furniture and walls. The corridor system is more boldly eschewed, and the concept of “classes without walls” is implemented.

The article discusses curriculum management changes while trying to respond to the challenge of learning personalisation in the field of lower-secondary education in Lithuania. The paper investigates what transformations learning personalisation might bring into educational practices and how they change regular curriculum management practices starting from learning environment, new roles of teachers, combining individual and group work in the classroom environment and development of new learning scenarios. This article is based on the findings of a case study of one of the Lithuanian lower secondary schools, when a new learning scenario was implemented creatively applying a digital storytelling method. The research indicates that students’ active classroom participation increased, driven by the personalised approach and the use of diverse digital media. The article reveals that learning personalisation supported by technologies brings changes to the classroom management practices and strengthens teacher-student and peer-to-peer collaboration.

Straipsnyje, remiantis Lietuvos centrinio valstybės archyvo medžiaga ir prieškario Lietuvos periodiniais leidiniais, nagrinėjamas žydų tautybės vaikų mokymasis 1920 m. įsteigtoje Kauno vokiečių gimnazijoje. Atskleidžiami 1925 m. atsiradę nesutarimai tarp vokiečių ir žydų dėl smarkiai pakelto mokesčio už vaikų mokymąsi gimnazijoje ne vokiečių tautybės asmenims. Dar didesnę konfrontaciją sukėlė antisemitizmo politika nacių valdomoje Vokietijoje, paskatinusi Lietuvos žydų protestus ir vokiečių boikotą. Atskleidžiami žydų bendruomenės veiksmai paimant savo vaikus iš Kauno vokiečių gimnazijos 1933 m. pavasarį ir steigiant jiems atskirą mokyklą – Kauno žydų gimnaziją dėstomąja lietuvių kalba. The present study is aimed at exploring the reasons for founding Kaunas Jewish Gymnasium with the Lithuanian language of instruction as well as its wider historical context. The article is based on the materials found in the collections of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Lithuania and available at the Lithuanian Central State Archives; the periodical publications of that time were also made use of. The article draws the reader’s attention to the fact that in the period after the First World War, when the independent state of Lithuania was founded, ethnic minorities were provided with a possibility of establishing their own national schools. Those schools were also attended by students of other nationalities, including Lithuanians. However, that was not typical of Jewish schools, which were attended exclusively by Jewish children. When the German gymnasium was established in Kaunas, it was attended by more than a hundred of Jewish children and a smaller number of children of other nationalities. The tuition fee was the same for all, irrespective of the nationality. However, the situation changed in 1925: the school-supporting society passed into the hands of Germans and issued the regulation that children of other nationalities should pay over three times more. The parents of the students, who were mostly Jews, objected to that regulation though they were not in the capacity to change the discriminating situation. Thus the children continued to attend the gymnasium, and their parents were made to pay the high tuition fee. When national socialists came to power in Germany with their leader Adolf Hitler in the position of the chancellor, the anti-Semitic manifestations became more widespread. The Lithuanian Jewish community expressed solidarity with the Jews in Germany by organizing protest meetings and announcing boycott of Germans in Lithuania. Under the circumstances, with the confrontation between Jews and Germans growing, the tension between Jewish and German students and their parents in Kaunas German gymnasium was also growing. In the spring of 1933, on the demand of the Jewish community, Jewish parents resolved to take their children from the German gymnasium. Jewish students that no longer attended Kaunas German gymnasium could continue studying in other Jewish gymnasiums in Kaunas. However, since the majority did not know the Hebrew language, the decision was made to establish a separate gymnasium with the Lithuanian language of instruction. This privately-supported gymnasium, Kaunas Jewish gymnasium with the Lithuanian language of instruction, opened in September 1933 and survived till the Soviet occupation. As the numbers of students were not big, the gymnasium experienced a constant shortage of resources.

Darbe remiamasi 2018–2019 m. atliktu mokinių kalbos ir nuostatų dėl lietuvių kalbos tyrimu lietuvių mokomąja kalba mokyklose. This article aims to analyse ethnolinguistic vitality of pupils from schools where they are taught in the Lithuanian language in terms of the Lithuanian language usage, proficiency and language assessment. The survey was aimed at assessing the following ethnolinguistic vitality indexes of the analysed group of respondents: (1) language use and domination,(2) language proficiency and motivation to learn, (3) the attitude to the Lithuanian language, and (4) creative powers of language. Ethnolinguistic vitality of different age group pupils is analysed on the basis of an empirical study on the impact of other languages on the Lithuanian language of third- and fourthformers conducted in 2018–2019. The relevance of the study rests on the fact that ethnolinguistic vitality, as ethnic vitality of the Lithuanian linguistic community, has never been analysed before. For the first time, the article sequentially and systematically analyses ethnolinguistic vitality of a group of pupils through the aspects of the relation to language, which allows predicting perspectives of sustainability and continuity of the Lithuanians as an ethnic community. The study data show the tendency that, according to all the aspects studied, as the pupils become older, their vitality as members of an ethnolinguistic group decreases. Moreover, a foreign (English) language is becoming more and more dominant in the pupils’ language as they grow older. When assessing the pupils’ ethnolinguistic vitality in terms of language proficiency, it turned out that the pupils’ learning achievements decreased from the fifth form. As the data show, the majority of the pupils (more than 70 per cent) claim that they are proud of the Lithuanian language as their language, they indicate the connection between the Lithuanian language and their ethnic identity, and they relate the sustainability of the ethnic identity to the language strength – its usage in the ethnolinguistic community. However, the data also reveal the following tendency: the older the respondents are, the fewer of them have an opinion about the significance of the language to the identity of an ethnolinguistic community (from 7.3 per cent in the fourth form to 26 per cent in the eighth form). It can be assumed that a part of the respondents, especially the ones in senior forms, have weak ethnic identity self-concept and linguistic identity, and therefore the native language is being assessed only as the instrument of communication, the same as any other language. Assessment of the pupils’ ethnolinguistic vitality in terms of their linguistic powers and linguistic potential revealed that only a half of the respondents assess the Lithuanian language as a modern language. Weak linguistic self-awareness of pupils is observed in their attitude towards the strengthening of the Lithuanian language powers: less than a half of the respondents agree that the Lithuanian language resources must be expanded. The study data reveal that pupils’ ethnolinguistic vitality in terms of trust in the creative powers of their language, their attitudes to the expansion of the Lithuanian language resources, and giving priority to the use of the Lithuanian language decrease with age.

Straipsnyje pristatomas 2018 m. vykdytas interviu, kuriame dalyvavo bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių atstovai - administracijos atstovai ir mokytojai, 7–12 (I–IV gimnazijos) klasių mokiniai ir jų tėvai. Tai kompleksinio tyrimo „Bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenės mokyklos pažangos samprata, orientuojantis į Geros mokyklos koncepciją“ dalis1 . Straipsnyje keliama mokslinė problema - nepakankamai tyrinėjamas bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių požiūris į mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatus, kaip esminį mokyklos pažangos požymį. Keliami probleminiai klausimai, kaip mokyklų bendruomenių nariai mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatus susieja su mokyklos pažanga? kokia mokyklų bendruomenių narių mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatų samprata? Todėl tyrimo objektas – bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių požiūris į mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatus kaip esminį mokyklos pažangos požymį. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų bendruomenių požiūrį į mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatus, kaip esminį mokyklos pažangos požymį. Tyrimo metodai: mokslinės literatūros ir dokumentų analizė, interviu. Tyrimu atskleistas mokyklų bendruomenių narių (administracijos, mokytojų, tėvų, mokinių) skirtinga mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatų samprata, ne visi juos įvardija esminiu mokyklos pažangos požymiu, nors ši sąsaja pabrėžiama švietimo bendruomenės renginiuose, nacionaliniuose dokumentuose, pvz. Geros mokyklos koncepcijoje, 2015. Remiantis mokyklų administracijos atstovų pastebėjimais išskirtos šios subkategorijos: 1) nepritarimas mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatų sąsajoms su mokyklos pažanga, susijęs su netiksliai interpretuotais ugdymo(si) rezultatais (suvokta tik kaip akademiniai pasiekimai), 2) nepritarimas mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatų sąsajoms su mokyklos pažanga ir 3) pritarimas - manymas, jog mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatai yra vienas esminių mokyklos pažangos požymių. Mokytojai ir tėvai, taip pat turėjo skirtingą požiūrį dėl mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatų sąsajų su mokyklos pažanga: pritarė, jog mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatai yra vienas esminių mokyklos pažangos ir nepritarė. Šis nepritarimas, susijęs su netiksliai interpretuotais ugdymo(si) rezultatais (suvokta tik kaip akademiniai pasiekimai). Tyrime dalyvavę mokiniai dar neišsiaiškinę ugdymo(si) rezultatų sampratos, todėl tik kai kurie galėjo išsamiau atsakyti į pateiktus klausimus. Vos keli mokiniai galėjo logiškai paaiškinti ir pagrįsti savo nuomonę, kad ugdymo(si) rezultatai yra esminis mokyklos pažangos požymis. Galima manyti, jog mokyklos bendruomenės narių skirtingas požiūris į ugdymosi rezultatus, kaip esminį mokyklos pažangos požymį, susiję su mokyklų bendruomenių nevieninga, neišdiskutuota ir nesusitarta mokinio ugdymo(si) rezultatų samprata ir galimai nepakankamu dėmesiu mokinio individualios pažangos stebėsenos sistemai. The article presents a quality research – a interview performed in 2018, which involved representatives of general education school management and teachers, as well as 7-12 grade gymnasium students and their parents. To analyze the interview, the content analysis was adapted, (Krippendorff, 1980, Mayring, 2000, Bitinas, Rupšienė, Žydžiūnaitė, 2008,) which allowed to make conclusions based on the analyzed text. The current study is a part of the research “The Conception of School Community of General Education School Progress in terms of the Good School Concept”. The article addresses the scientific problem that the There is a lack of research, concerning the general education school community‘s approach towards student’s education results, as a significant sign of progress. Addressing the scientific problem, whether the community members of the school admit the student’s results as the main sign of progress. What is the concept of education results? The research object - general school education school community’s viewpoint towards student’s academic results as the main sign of progress. The purpose of the research – to reveal the general school education school community’s viewpoint towards student’s academic results as the main sign of progress. To summarize, it can be said that general school education school community members differ in approaches towards student’s academic results as the main sign of progress. Based on the analysis of school administration’s opinions, there have been distinguished subcategories such as disapproval, connected to the misinterpreting of the research results (viewed as academic achievements), disapproval (agrees, that is important, but not the most important), and approval. The opinions of parents and teachers were also uneven: approval and disapproval, connected to misinterpreted research results (viewed as academic achievements). Some students agreed, that education results were the main sign of school progress, but in most cases, this question was complicated.
