O presente artigo analisa os jogos linguísticos presentes em fontes de diferentes naturezas, no projeto educativo e civilizacional orientado para os indígenas brasileiros, manifestado por um grupo de escritores(as) da virada do século XIX e início do XX. Esse trabalho delimita-se entre 1890 e 1910 e considerou a ambiência intelectual que elegeu a temática indigenista como cerne de um dos projetos educacionais deste período. A análise pauta-se no Contextualismo Linguístico - Pocock e Quentin Skinner - cujo foco encontra-se na dimensão pragmática do discurso político e relação entre a realidade experienciada e a linguagem. Em relação às fontes, as mesmas foram produzidas por diferentes sujeitos, que evidenciaram, na cena pública, concepções acerca do tema deste trabalho. Conquanto os(a) escritores(a) elencados aqui, tenham posicionamentos genéricos sobre algumas questões relativas aos indígenas brasileiros, há um consenso de que a educação seria o condão que viabilizaria o processo de inserção destes povos no processo civilizador, com um viés que tinha como projeto a construção de uma “identidade brasileira”, na qual os indígenas ocupavam um lugar importante. This article analyzes the linguistic games present in sources of different natures, in the educational and civilizing project oriented towards Brazilian indigenous people, manifested by a group of writers from the turn of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. This work is delimited between 1890 and 1910 and considered the intellectual environment that chose the indigenist theme as the core of one of the educational projects of this period. The analysis is guided by Linguistic Contextualism - Pocock and Quentin Skinner - whose focus is on the pragmatic dimension of political discourse and the relationship between experienced reality and language. Regarding the sources, they were produced by different subjects, who showed, in the public scene, conceptions about the theme of this work. Although the writers listed here have generic positions on some issues related to Brazilian indigenous peoples, there is a consensus that education would be the power that would enable the process of insertion of these peoples in the civilizing process, with a bias that had as a project the construction of a “Brazilian identity”, in which the indigenous people occupied an important place. L'analyse est guidée par le contextualisme linguistique - Pocock et Quentin Skinner - dont l'accent est mis sur la dimension pragmatique du discours politique et la relation entre réalité vécue et langage. En ce qui concerne les sources, elles ont été produites par différents sujets, qui ont montré, sur la scène publique, des conceptions sur le thème de cette œuvre. Bien que les auteurs listés ici aient des positions génériques sur certaines questions liées aux peuples indigènes brésiliens, il existe un consensus sur le fait que l'éducation serait le pouvoir qui permettrait le processus d'insertion de ces peuples dans le processus de civilisation, avec un parti pris qui avait comme projet la construction d'une « identité brésilienne », dans laquelle les indigènes occupent une place importante.

O artigo objetiva tratar do caráter utópico do discurso republicano brasileiro que circulou na imprensa periódica, entre o final do século XIX e início do XX. Ocorpo documental desse trabalho compreende duas revistas paranaenses, a Revista do Clube Curitibano (1890-1912) e A Escola (1906-1910). A opção por tais fontes ocorreu em razão de ambas apresentarem um núcleo de comum de colaboradores, fato que garante a detecção de rupturas e continuidades discursivas acerca da república e dos modos como viabilizá-la. O corpo de colaboradores dessas revistas era composto por agentes entendidos aqui como “atores linguísticos”, expressão de John Pocock (2003) que designa os que operam como articuladores da linguagem de uma época, visando à defesa de interesses, ideias e valores.Palavras-chave: República brasileira, imprensa periódica, utopia nacional.

Introdução: A sífilis é uma doença sistêmica, curável e de distribuição epidemiológica mundial. Sua transmissão ocorre na forma sexual, vertical ou sanguínea. No Brasil, a sífilis em gestantes é um agravo de notificação compulsória. O estudo tem como objetivo descrever a epidemiologia de casos notificados de sífilis em gestantes no município de Curitiba/PR. Método: Trata-se de um estudo e observacional descritivo de base documental. Os dados foram fornecidos pela Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Curitiba através do registro SINAN. Foi utilizado para a análise o período de 2007-20017. Consideraram-se as variáveis: faixa etária, raça/cor, trimestre, escolaridade, classificação clínica, esquemas prescritos e tratamento de parceiro sexual. Para contraponto com média brasileira, utilizou-se o Boletim Epidemiológico da Sífilis, 2018. Purpose of the study: The purpose of the present study is to specify the notion of socio-cultural continuum seen through the choral art as it developed throughout independence in Ukraine and to identify its main tendencies as drivers of choral art development. In this regard, the research tasks are to investigate the meaning of the concepts of “continuum”, “socio-cultural continuum,” and to identify the main socio-cultural tendencies that, in our opinion, have the most significant influence on the development of choral art. Methodology: This study used a meta-analysis approach to solve the issues raised in the research. Reference sources, peer-reviewed databases like Education Resources Information Centre (ERIC), Scopus, Arts & Humanities Database, the Choral Scholar (online journal), Google Scholar, together with open-source-published researches and books (published either in Ukrainian or English) were used to obtain the relevant information. Main findings: It was found, that the socio-cultural continuum in Ukraine of the period of independence emerges as a complex hierarchical system of phenomena characterized by an inextricable link between the Spatio-temporal parameters of human beings, society, and culture. Applications of this study: Interpreting this concept in relation to the development of choral art as an imaginary model of a single socio-cultural space-time in Ukraine (region) occurring throughout the independence period in all the continuous hierarchical multiplicity of its phenomena related to the functioning of choral art identified several major trends that, in our opinion, were influenced by the intensity and nature of such development. This period, as a transition period characterized by a change in outlook, the revival of previously forbidden traditions, and the emergence of new socio-cultural trends not only intensified the development but also caused several challenges that Ukrainian society faced. Novelty/Originality of this study: This scientific exploration was an attempt to understand the theoretical essence of this continuum and its tendencies, which in the future will allow knowing more about their positive and negative orientations and ways.

Congenital microcephaly causes smaller than average head circumference relative to age, sex and ethnicity and is most usually associated with a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders. The underlying etiology is highly heterogeneous and can be either environmental or genetic. Disruption of any one of multiple biological processes, such as those underlying neurogenesis, cell cycle and division, DNA repair or transcription regulation, can result in microcephaly. This etiological heterogeneity manifests in a clinical variability and presents a major diagnostic and therapeutic challenge, leaving an unacceptably large proportion of over half of microcephaly patients without molecular diagnosis. To elucidate the clinical and genetic landscapes of congenital microcephaly, we sequenced the exomes of 191 clinically diagnosed patients with microcephaly as one of the features. We established a molecular basis for microcephaly in 71 patients (37%), and detected novel variants in five high confidence candidate genes previously unassociated with this condition. We report a large number of patients with mutations in tubulin-related genes in our cohort as well as higher incidence of pathogenic mutations in MCPH genes. Our study expands the phenotypic and genetic landscape of microcephaly, facilitating differential clinical diagnoses for disorders associated with most commonly disrupted genes in our cohort.

Resumo: Evidências científicas apontam que um sistema fortemente baseado em Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) promove melhores desfechos em saúde. No Brasil, a APS acontece, no sistema público, preferencialmente, no modelo de Estratégia de Saúde da Família. São considerados atributos essenciais da APS: o acesso, a longitudinalidade, a abrangência dos serviços e coordenação do cuidado. Esta pesquisa, com metodologia qualitativa, visou explorar as barreiras de acesso à APS na visão dos usuários que frequentam uma UPA (Unidade de Pronto Atendimento). Revelaram-se barreiras: distância de casa, demora na resposta da APS, compreensão sobre o funcionamento do sistema, acesso facilitado à UPA para problemas não urgentes e horário de funcionamento abreviado da Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS). Há percepção de que a UPA tem um acesso mais facilitado do que a UBS, apesar de não ser, em teoria, a porta de entrada oficial do sistema.

Introduction In countries where Haemophilus influenzae type B vaccine is used, Streptococcus pneumoniae is the most common cause of bacterial meningitis in young children and notable cause of morbidity/mortality. The authors present material of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of patients with pneumococcal meningitis from archive of Department of Diagnostic Imaging of Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw. Materials and methods We performed 27 brain MRI scans and 1 follow-up computed tomography (CT) in 10 children (2 girls and 8 boys) aged from neonate to 5 years at disease onset with proven pneumococcal infection. Results Follow-up period range was 0–12 years. Two children underwent only one MRI, one of them died before follow-up and the other was lost from further observation. There was one case of relatively benign disease course with mild changes on MRI. In another seemingly benign case, acute transient hydrocephalus was observed. Six children developed hydrocephalus, and two required ventriculoperitoneal shunting complicated by neuroinfection, shunt malfunction and revisions. Two patients developed epilepsy. In six children, spastic paresis of various severity was diagnosed, up to quadriplegia in one who is under the longest observation (>12 years) and survived in vegetative state. Three other children suffer from delayed psychomotor development to severe intellectual disability. Conclusions MRI shows perfectly the degree of central nervous system (CNS) damage during and after pneumococcal invasion. Despite appropriate treatment, disease course may be unpredictably serious. Attempts to eliminate the obligation to vaccinate are extremely irresponsible taking into account potential danger of death, vegetative state or another form of severe damage to CNS. Social and financial costs of care of survivors are very high with shunts placements and changes, (neuro)infections, rehabilitation, families breakdown, etc.

Hereditary spastic paraplegias (HSPs) are clinically and genetically heterogeneous neurodegenerative disorders. Numerous genes linked to HSPs, overlapping phenotypes between HSP subtypes and other neurodegenerative disorders and the HSPs’ dual mode of inheritance (both dominant and recessive) make the genetic diagnosis of HSPs complex and difficult. Out of the original HSP cohort comprising 306 index cases (familial and isolated) who had been tested according to “traditional workflow/guidelines” by Multiplex Ligation-dependent Probe Amplification (MLPA) and Sanger sequencing, 30 unrelated patients (all familial cases) with unsolved genetic diagnoses were tested using next-generation sequencing (NGS). One hundred thirty-two genes associated with spastic paraplegias, hereditary ataxias and related movement disorders were analysed using the Illumina TruSight™ One Sequencing Panel. The targeted NGS data showed pathogenic variants, likely pathogenic variants and those of uncertain significance (VUS) in the following genes: SPAST (spastin, SPG4), ATL1 (atlastin 1, SPG3), WASHC5 (SPG8), KIF5A (SPG10), KIF1A (SPG30), SPG11 (spatacsin), CYP27A1, SETX and ITPR1. Out of the nine genes mentioned above, three have not been directly associated with the HSP phenotype to date. Considering the phenotypic overlap and joint cellular pathways of the HSP, spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) genes, our findings provide further evidence that common genetic testing may improve the diagnostics of movement disorders with a spectrum of ataxia-spasticity signs. Resultados: Os discursos dos usuários revelaram diversas barreiras: distância de casa, organização do processo de trabalho da unidade, compreensão sobre o funcionamento do sistema de saúde, acesso facilitado à UPA para problemas não urgentes, horário de funcionamento abreviado da APS em relação à UPA. Conclusão: A análise de discurso dos entrevistados mostra que a UPA apresenta um acesso mais facilitado do que a APS. As políticas de gestão do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) precisam levar em conta a sobreposição de serviços entre UPA's e APS e avaliar experiências internacionais que simplificam o acesso do usuário ao sistema. Abstract: Introduction: Consistent scientific evidence indicates that a health system strongly based on primary health care (PHC) promotes better health outcomes. In Brazil, APS happens, in the public system, preferentially, in the Family Health Strategy (FHS) model. Accessibility, longitudinality, comprehensiveness and coordination of care are considered essential attributes of PHC. Methodology: Qualitative, aimed at exploring the barriers to access to the Basic Health Unit in the view of users who attend a ECU (Emergency Care Unit). Results: Users' discourses revealed several barriers: distance from home, organization of the work process of the unit, understanding of the functioning of the health system, facilitated access to ECU for non-urgent problems, PHC abbreviated working hours in relation to ECU . Conclusion: The interviewees' discourse analysis shows that ECU is easier to access than PHC. Health Unic System (HUS) management policies need to take into account the overlapping of services between UPAs and APS and to evaluate international experiences that simplify user access to the system.

В настоящее время возникает необходимость в новых подходах к преподаванию эстетических искусств, способных решать современные задачи творческого восприятия и развития личности в целом. В системе эстетического, творческого воспитания подрастающего поколения особая роль принадлежит изобразительному и музыкальному искусству. Авторами предложены правила и даны советы, как помочь детям видеть и понимать красоту окружающего мира, которая способствует воспитанию культуры чувств, развитию художественно-эстетического вкуса, трудовой и творческой активности.

Malformations of cortical development (MCDs) manifest with structural brain anomalies that lead to neurologic sequelae, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, and intellectual disability. To investigate the underlying genetic architecture of patients with disorders of cerebral cortical development, a cohort of 54 patients demonstrating neuroradiologic signs of MCDs was investigated. Individual genomes were interrogated for single-nucleotide variants (SNV) and copy number variants (CNV) with whole-exome sequencing and chromosomal microarray studies. Variation affecting known MCDs-associated genes was found in 16/54 cases, including 11 patients with SNV, 2 patients with CNV, and 3 patients with both CNV and SNV, at distinct loci. Diagnostic pathogenic SNV and potentially damaging variants of unknown significance (VUS) were identified in two groups of seven individuals each. We demonstrated that de novo variants are important among patients with MCDs as they were identified in 10/16 individuals with a molecular diagnosis. Three patients showed changes in known MCDs genes and a clinical phenotype beyond the usual characteristics observed, i.e., phenotypic expansion, for a particular known disease gene clinical entity. We also discovered 2 likely candidate genes, CDH4, and ASTN1, with human and animal studies supporting their roles in brain development, and 5 potential candidate genes. Our findings emphasize genetic heterogeneity of MCDs disorders and postulate potential novel candidate genes involved in cerebral cortical development.

Introduction: We present a patient with Dravet syndrome (DS) caused by the SCN1A mutation, and with neonatal seizure history. Material and Methods: Patient medical history was reviewed with focus on onset age, seizure types, EEG features, neuroimaging studies and treatment response. Results: A 16-month-old boy with an abnormal perinatal period presented a seizure on the second day of life during febrile congenital infection. He had developed focal right-sided seizures with sensitivity to low-grade fever since 4 months of age. The SCN1A nonsense mutation was confirmed. Subsequent disease course with multiple seizure type’s development became consistent with DS clinical diagnosis. Conclusions: DS diagnosis should not be ruled out in patients with neonatal seizures who meet the clinical, EEG and evolution criteria for this syndrome.

The concept of academic choral art in the social and cultural continuum of the Western region of Ukraine by Independence period for example by Volyn is justified in the research. The variations of definitions of „sociocultural continuum”, „author performing school”, „Ukrainian choir school” are filed, the chamber choir model, definitions of Apollonical and Dionysian archetypes in choral-conducting performance are justified. The trends of the choral art on the through by interviews with leading conductors of the western region and survey the thought of audience are investigated. This model is shows in the three aspects: the activity of groups (chamber choir „Oranta”, Chorus by Lutsk St. Peter and Paul church), methodological traditions, competitive-festival process. As an example of application of management in culture the version of organization of Choral art competition by Lesya Ukrayinka is submitted.

O artigo objetiva tratar do impacto da Revolução Federalista sobre os discursos dos literatos paranaenses do contexto do final do século XIX. Também busca discutir o papel do literato naquela sociedade, explorando as fontes que tratam desse assunto. O corpo documental deste trabalho compreende duas revistas importantes do período para o meio literato local, o Clube Curitibano (1890-1912) e O Cenáculo (1895-1897). Além desses periódicos, a análise também abrange obras biográficas sobre os escritores e colaboradores mais assíduos dos dois periódicos. Tais agentes são entendidos aqui como “atores linguísticos”, expressão utilizada por John Pocock para designar os que operam como articuladores da linguagem de uma época, visando à defesa de interesses e à expressão de determinadas ideias e valores. Foram, portanto, mediadores da cultura de sua época, pois assumiram, de maneira engajada, posicionamentos referentes à vida em sociedade, nela desempenhando, a um só tempo, os papéis de atores, testemunhas e consciências do contexto por eles vivenciado.

The CAD program RAMSIS was developed for ergonomic formation of car packages. This computer aided resource made it possible to create a real geometric and kinematic model of the human body. By using this model, the designer does not have to think about the posture of a person in a certain situation, because RAMSIS is able to prognosticate the natural estimated posture automatically. Furthermore, it is possible to rate the posture under comfort and health aspects. The research could be made with the male and female body types including the individual adjustment of body height, corpulence and proportion. In addition to this male and female model the body of a child, subdivided in different age groups, was developed and designed. In developing the child model, the first question that has to be clarified is the one about a suitable database. One problem is that most databases provide just values of 50 First by making a literature enquiry the found values of a 50 Another database that was found is the Tanner study (Atlas of children's growth, 1982). In this book the author documents the growth of 54 children by measuring and taking 2 pictures of them each year from the age of 3 and up to the age of 18. Those pictures were scanned into the computer and we imposed the above-mentioned 50 percentile child dummy of the corresponding age. This was done using the stereophotogametric anthropometric measuring program PCMAN which was developed at the institute. In the end those anthropometric data were worked up statistically, so that the reproduction of a real test person was found that was nearly similar to the 50 percentile child. Those measurements were made, as mentioned above, for the age between 3 and 12 yr. In order to provide a 3D child dummy to the constructor to shape the interior of cars ergonomically for children meeting their demands. Relevance to industry RAMSIS is a CAD-tool for ergonomic analysis of vehicles developed for the German automotive industry. Up to now the different RAMSIS types were adults, so it was not possible to make statements on the quality of a car interior from the point of view of children. It was necessary to develop a realistic 3D child model which could be used by the designers for seat and safety analysis on a CAD-system

As edições iniciais da Revista do Clube coincidiram com um momento de intensificação da vida urbana na capital paranaense e refletiam as mudanças ocorridas nesse cenário no último decênio do século XIX. Se sua primeira fase de circulação (1890-1893) apresentou a questão do progresso como uma das temáticas principais, sua segunda fase (1894- 1900), completamente distinta, revelou-se acentuadamente melancólica e literária, aspectos que, conforme buscamos validar, advêm de uma transformação linguística que refletia o trauma provocado pela Revolução Federalista. O corpo documental deste trabalho, além dos artigos da Revista do Clube e de O Cenáculo (1895-1897), também abrange obras biográficas sobre os escritores e colaboradores mais assíduos do periódico. Abstract: This paper, whose main object of study was the Curitibano Club Magazine (1890- 1912), enabled us to conclude, first, that this magazine represents a fruitful source for analysis of cultural movements that emerged in Curitiba from the late nineteenth to the twentieth century. Besides being the stage that promoted the ideas of writers such as Augustine Ermelino Agostinho de Leão, Dario Vellozo, Emiliano and Julio Pernetta, Leoncio Correia, Silveira Neto, Antonio Braga, Sebastião Paraná and Francisco Ribeiro de Azevedo Macedo, the Club Magazine also enabled us to find out the ideas that were discussed in the literate circles of Curitiba over a decade of the magazine?s circulation. The first edition published by the Club Magazine coincided with a time of urban life intensification in the state capital and reflected changes that happened in this scenario in the last decade of the nineteenth century. That?s because its first circulation phase (1890-1893) presented the issue of progress as one of the main themes. Its second phase (1894-1900), completely different than the first one, has markedly proved to be melancholic and literary with aspects, as we seek to validate, which derive from a linguistic transformation that reflected the trauma caused by the Federalist Revolution. The other sources, in addition to articles from the Club Magazine and The Cenacle (1895-1897), are biographical works about the magazine?s most regular writers and contributors. We understand that these writers are "linguistic actors", a term used by John Pocock to designate the ones who operate as language articulators of an epoch, aimed at defending interests and the expression of certain ideas and values. They were, therefore, the culture mediators of their time, since they assumed, in an engaged way, positions concerning life in society, performing in it, at the same time, the roles of actors, witnesses and consciences of the context experienced by them. Résumé: Cette recherche, dont le principal objet d?étude fut la revue Revista do Clube Curitibano (1890-1912) nous a permis de constater, premièrement, que ce journal représente une source indispensable pour les analyses analyser le contexte culturel à Curitiba pendant le passage du XIX au XX siècle. En plus d?avoir été la scène où ont été mises en place les idées des écrivans comme Ermelino Agostino de Leão, Dario Vellozo, Emiliano et Julio Pernetta, Leôncio Correia, Silveira Neto, Antônio Braga, Sebastião Paraná et Francisco Ribeiro de Azevedo Macedo, la revue Revista do Clube nous a offert la possibilité de connaître des idées qui étaient débattues dans le milieu lettré de la capitale du Parana sur la période d?une décade. Les éditions initiales de la revue Revista do Clube coincidérent avec l?intensification de la vie urbaine dans la capitale de l?état du Paraná et reflétaient les changements qui ont eu lieu dans la dernière décenie du XIX siècle. Si dans sa première phase de diffusion (1890-1893) elle a présenté la question du progrès en tant que l'une des principales thématiques, sa deuxième phase (1894-1900), complètement distincte, s'est avérée nettement mélancolique et littéraires, des aspects qui découlent d'une transformation linguistique qui reflétait le trauma dû à la Révolution Fédéraliste. Des sources utilisées, autant que des articles de la revue Revista do Clube et de le Cenaculo (1895-1897), couvre également des travaux biographiques sur les rédacteurs et des collaborateurs plus assidus du journal. Ces agents sont compris ici comme "acteurs", expression linguistique utilisé par John Pocock pour désigner ceux qui opèrent en tant que principaux interprètes de langue d'une époque, visant à la protection d?intérêts et l'expression de certaines idées et valeurs. Ils furent, par conséquent, des médiateurs de la culture de leur temps, parce qu'ils ont assumé et défendu, de manière engagée, des positionnements concernant la vie en société, à une époque précise, les rôles des acteurs, les témoins et les consciences du contexte qu'ils ont connu.

Исследуется социокультурный аспект функционирования хоровой школы, которая трактуется автором как открытая методико-исполнительская система, удерживающая хоровую традицию как этнокуль-турный архетип в поливариантном социокультурном континууме. Предла-гаются варианты толкования понятий «социокультурный континуум», «исполнительская школа», «хоровая школа». Досліджується соціокультурний аспект функціонування хорової школи, яка трактується автором як відкрита методико-виконавська система, що утримує хорові традиції як етнокультурний архетип в поліваріантному соціокультурному континуумі. Колоквіум є формою індивідуальної роботи студентів із фахової дисципліни “Хорове диригування”. Навчальне видання містить перелік питань, критерії оцінювання відповіді та список джерел, рекомендованих для використання. Питання охоплюють історію розвитку європейської, в тому числі української, хорової творчості від епохи Відродження до наших днів, а також основні диригентсько-хорові поняття та музичні терміни. Видання адресується студентам і викладачам музично-педагогічних факультетів вищих навчальних закладів.

У статті розглядається творча діяльність Хмельницького муніципа-льного камерного хору з актуалізації регіонального хорового мистецтва України. На основі матеріалів інтерв’ю з керівником колективу заслуженим діячем мистецтв України І. Цмуром укладаються висновки про проблеми розвитку регіональних колективів. Автором пропонується визначення аполонічного та діонісійського архетипів у диригентсько-хоровому виконавстві.The conductor archetypes characteristics in example of the creation of O. Tarasenko and O. Esse interessante período de efervescência cultural tem, como uma de suas expressões, a revista paranaense A Escola: órgão do grêmio dos professores públicos do Paraná, cuja circulação se deu entre os anos de 1906 a 1910. Acredita-se que tal periódico, enquanto objeto de análise, pode vir a esclarecer os principais aspectos suscitados em torno da questão educacional no início do século XX. Nele, um grupo de escritores pôde deixar suas impressões tecidas a partir da trama de seu próprio tempo, traduzindo, em seus escritos, parte das principais transformações e permanências culturais vivenciadas. É este contexto que se busca conhecer, a partir de uma análise histórico-lingüística dos artigos do dito periódico. O corpo documental deste trabalho, além dos artigos da revista, também abrange obras biográficas de forma a caracterizar os principais colaboradores de A Escola e as instituições por quais estes homens passaram. Também foram postas à interpelação fontes oriundas do aparelho administrativo do Estado, posto que ajudam a desvendar sutilezas em que se move o pensamento do poder. Entendendo que os intelectuais de A Escola constituíam um grupo pelo fato de compartilharem uma mesma linguagem, este trabalho busca estabelecer as relações entre os vocábulos mais freqüentes e o sentido que lhes era trazido na época de sua enunciação. Juntamente com o objetivo de compreender o léxico político comum a tal grupo de intelectuais paranaenses, buscou-se também compreender as motivações e projetos de seus integrantes, os quais, na posição de "pedagogistas" e professores, escreviam para seus demais colegas de magistério. A figura do escritor assume, portanto, considerável importância já que é entendido como todo aquele capaz de traduzir em discurso uma certa realidade cultural e transformar suas experiências de vida em idéias sintetizadas. Em suas produções, tal intelectual faz uso de uma linguagem própria da época. Ao mesmo tempo em que conforma discursos, também é conformada por eles. Tem-se, portanto, em A Escola, palavras como tradição e modernidade, ciência e ignorância, razão e crendices que podem revelar as concepções de mundo de seus colaboradores. Estas engendraram, para além de discursos, práticas que perdurariam nas décadas seguintes do século XX. Abstract: In the beginning of the 20th century, during the consolidation of Brazilian Republic, the cultural environment of most capital cities had been put through intense thoughts defied by social, literary and political movements. One of the expressions of this interesting period of cultural boiling was the magazine A Escola: órgão do grêmio dos professores públicos do Paraná, based in the the southern state of Paraná and ran between 1906 and 1910. It is believed that this magazine, as object of analysis, may elucidate the main aspects challenged around the educational issue of the 20th century. There, a group of writers were able to set their impressions, expressing part of the main cultural permanencies and transformations of their time. The documental basis of this thesis, besides the magazine articles, includes biographical works as a manner of naming the main collaborators of A Escola as well as those Institutions where they have collaborated. Also, sources derived of the State administration system have been analysed, so they could help disclose tenuous details of the thought of the power. Understanding the writers of A Escola constituted a group, because of the fact that they shared the same language, this thesis intents to establish the relationships between the most frequent terms and their meanings at the time of their enunciation. Together with the aim of understanding the political lexicon common of this group of intellectuals from Paraná, this thesis also pursues the motivations and projects of the members of this group, whose, as pedagogical professionals and professors, used to write to professorship colleagues. The figure of the writer assumes, therefore, considerable importance, since he is understood as any person capable of expressing a certain cultural reality and transforming its lives experiences into synthesized ideas. In their productions, the figure of the intelectual makes use of a language peculiar of its time. At the same time as they build speeches, they were built by them. In A Escola, there were words as tradition and modernity, science and ignorance, reason and superstition, which may reveal the writers concept of the world. Such concepts have produced, beyond theory, practices that would stand over the next decades of the 20th century.

Resumo: O artigo objetiva tratar do impacto da Revolução Federalista sobre os discursos dos literatos paranaenses do contexto do final do século XIX. Também busca discutir o papel do literato naquela sociedade, explorando as fontes que tratam desse assunto. O corpo documental deste trabalho compreende duas revistas importantes do período para o meio literato local, o Clube Curitibano (1890-1912) e O Cenáculo (1895-1897). Além desses periódicos, a análise também abrange obras biográficas sobre os escritores e colaboradores mais assíduos dos dois periódicos. Tais agentes são entendidos aqui como “atores linguísticos”, expressão utilizada por John Pocock para designar os que operam como articuladores da linguagem de uma época, visando à defesa de interesses e à expressão de determinadas ideias e valores. Foram, portanto, mediadores da cultura de sua época, pois assumiram, de maneira engajada, posicionamentos referentes à vida em sociedade, nela desempenhando, a um só tempo, os papéis de atores, testemunhas e consciências do contexto por eles vivenciado.Palavras-chave: Revolução – Literatura – Intelectuais. Abstract: This article intends to examine the impact of Federalistic War on the writer’s ideas in the context of the Nineteenth Century in the Brazilian state of Parana. It also intends to discuss the social role of the literati in that society, exploring the magazines as historic sources. The documental corpus of this work covers the Club Curitibano Magazine (Revista do Clube Curitibano) (1890-1912) and The Cenacle (1895-1897). Besides theses sources, the analysis covers biographical works about the main contributors of the magazines already mentioned. The authors present the first case of regression of cystic lesions on brain MRI in a newborn after therapeutic hypothermia in Poland. Multicystic encephalopathy is the most severe form of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and its regression is described very rarely in the literature. Magnetic resonance imaging is an accepted, optimal method of evaluation of the brain and establishing prognosis in children with HIE. After normal pregnancy an emergency cesarean section was performed at 37 weeks gestation due to the markers of intrauterine hypoxia on CTG. The condition of the newborn was serious: 3, 5, 7, 8 points according to Apgar score in 1st, 3nd, 5th and 10th minute of life, respectively. The infant required resuscitation. The cooling procedure lasted 72 hours. The first MRI study was performed at the age of 3 weeks and revealed cavities in the frontal and parietal lobed. The Evans index was 0.33. The second MRI investigation was carried out at the age of 5 weeks. The cavitary appearance did not change, the Evans index decreased to 0.32. The child underwent third MRI at the age of 2 years 4 months. No cystic lesions were found. There were signs of gliosis in their place and focal cortical-subcortical atrophy. The Evans index was 0.28 (within the normal limits). The neuropsychological status of the child at the age of 2.5 years is normal and brain MRI reveals strikingly mild lesions as compared to cavitary injury reported at the age of 3 and 5 weeks. The presented case shows that severe hypoxic-ischemic lesions such as cavities in an infant after cooling procedure do not necessarily mean poor prognosis, as with time even such lesions may regress. Therefore, even after the MRI diagnosis of multicystic encephalopathy the prognosis should be made with care.
