Parenting represents the most beautiful but at the same time the most demanding role in the life of one parent. Modern parenting is very different from a few years ago due to numerous changes – in the work market, in the composition of families, in the relationship between men and women, by the appreciation of parental authority, and also by the relationship between parents and children. Given the complexity of the roles that modern parents have to coordinate, as well as the complexity of problems in the behavior of children and young people today, parents often need the help of professionals in parenting, which is still insufficiently widespread and known in our country. The aim of the paper is to describe and highlight the importance of professional education programs for parenting, the reasons for the inclusion of parents in parenting support programs, the characteristics of participants involved in the programs, and their expectations of the program itself, using the systematic review method of previous research on this topic. Although the necessity of professional assistance and support for parents is regulated by numerous laws and regulations, in Croatian practice we must nevertheless emphasize insufficient awareness of the need and benefits of professional support programs for parenting. Therefore, this paper aims to encourage the scientific, professional and general public to reflect and act at societal level on the importance and benefits of such programs, and to reduce the stigmatization of parents who are included in these programs, which is still present in our society. 3. Experience of Imprisonment from the Perspective of Female Offenders in the Republic of Croatia

- Abstract
Scientific studies in criminology mainly neglect the criminality of women, especially the perspective of women prisoners. The aim of qualitative research was to examine the experience of imprisonment and institutional treatment for female prisoners. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview with 10 female prisoners in female penitentiary in Croatia. Research questions focused on the experience of stay in prison, treatment, perceived changes, suggestions for treatment improvement. Data were processed with inductive thematic analysis. Five topics have been separated: Expectations before coming to penitentiary, Experience of stay in penitentiary, Experience of treatment, Perception of personal changes, and Suggestions to improve the institutional treatment. It is necessary to continuously evaluate the treatment programs implemented in correctional institutions to determine their effectiveness, therefore the perspective of female prisoners can be an important criterion for the the creation of measures and policies pursued by the state regarding correctional institutions., Znanstvena istraživanja u području kriminologije uglavnom zanemaruju kriminalitet žena, naročito perspektivu zatvorenica. Cilj kvalitativnog istraživanja bio je ispitati doživljaj boravka u kaznionici i institucionalnog tretmana zatvorenica. Podaci su prikupljeni koristeći metodu polustrukturiranog intervjua provedenog s deset zatvorenica u Kaznionici za žene u Požegi. Istraživačka pitanja usmjerena su na doživljaj boravka u kaznionici, tretmana, percipiranih osobnih promjena i prijedloga za unaprjeđenje tretmana. Podaci su obrađeni induktivnom tematskom analizom. Izdvojeno je pet tema: očekivanja prije dolaska u kaznionicu, doživljaj boravka u kaznionici, doživljaj tretmana, percepcija osobnih promjena i prijedlozi za unaprjeđenje institucionalnog tretmana. Nužno je kontinuirano provoditi evaluacije tretmanskih programa u kaznionicama da bi se utvrdila njihova efikasnost, a perspektiva zatvorenica pri tome može biti značajan kriterij za osmišljavanje mjera i politika koje provodi država u zatvorskome sustavu.

Cilj je ovog rada davanje uvida u neke aspekte pohađanja Škole za roditelje, točnije, prikazat će se procesna evaluacija i evaluacija ishoda navedenog programa. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od 15 sudionika polaznika programa Škole za roditelje te je korištena metoda intervjua, a u koncipiranju istraživačkih pitanja i analizi rezultata koristila se metoda analize okvira. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su kako sudionici iskazuju iskustvo poboljšanja roditeljskih kompetencija, dobiti od grupnog rada te zadovoljstvo sudjelovanjem u programu, ali i neke negativne aspekte sudjelovanja. Također sudionici percipiraju poboljšanje odnosa roditelj – dijete te promjene u doživljavanju djeteta, kao i svoje osobne promjene. Ovaj rad također daje praktične implikacije za aktualno i buduće pružanje stručne pomoći roditeljima te otvara nova istraživačka pitanja., The aim of this paper is to evaluate the processes and outcomes associated with a parent support program called “School for Parents” based on the perspective of parent attendees. The study was conducted using a sample of 15 parents who attended the “School for Parents” program. Data was collected from participants using interviews and analysed using the framework analysis method. Our results show that the views or perceptions of parents changed with changes in their own parental competencies. We also highlight the benefits and satisfaction that comes with participating in the group, as well as some negative aspects of participation. Participants reported that they experienced improvements in the quality of the parentchild relationship, changes in the comprehension of the child, as well as personal changes in themselves. This study emphasises the practical implications for the need to provide professional support to parents, as well as raises questions that require further research.

6. DOBITI DRUŠTVENO KORISNOG UČENJA IZ PERSPEKTIVE BUDUĆIH SOCIJALNIH RADNIKA

- Abstract
Društveno korisno učenje (DKU) inovativna je metoda bazirana na iskustvenom učenju čijom je implementacijom u obrazovni sustav moguće ostvariti brojne dobrobiti za akademsku i društvenu zajednicu. Cilj istraživanja prikazanog ovim radom bio je ispitati percipirane dobiti DKU-a kod studenata socijalnog rada (N = 23) uslijed pilot-provedbe izbornog DKU kolegija na prvoj godini studija. Postavljena su tri istraživačka pitanja vezana uz studentsku percepciju dobitaka od sudjelovanja u projektima DKU-a za različite aktere u projektu, samoprocjenu zadovoljstva pojedinim elementima DKU-a te prijedloge za unaprjeđenje kolegija. Istraživačka pitanja razrađena su u anketi primijenjenoj po završetku kolegija; odgovori na pitanja otvorenog tipa obrađeni su metodom kvalitativne analize sadržaja, a odgovori na pitanja zatvorenog tipa kvantitativnom analizom podataka. Prema rezultatima, studenti prvenstveno prepoznaju brojne dobiti DKU-a za njih same na osobnoj i profesionalnoj razini, ali percipiraju i niz dobiti za korisnike, udruge i širu zajednicu. Nadalje, studenti su jako zadovoljni različitim elementima DKU-a te smatraju da im je omogućilo bolje upoznavanje prakse socijalnog rada. I, konačno, studenti predlažu (još) veći naglasak na pripremi i osmišljavanju projekata te na radu u udruzi/zajednici, kao i više refleksija usmenim putem. Rezultati govore u prilog povećanju kvota na DKU kolegiju i/ili implementaciji DKU-a na više kolegija na početku studija.

8. Benefits and Implications of a Hybrid Service- Learning Model

Service-learning (S-L) is an innovative pedagogical approach that integrates meaningful community service or engagement into the curriculum with the intention to ensure equal benefits for the provider and the recipient of the service and equal focus on both the service and the learning process and outcomes. Though the impact of traditional (face-to-face) S-L on student social, civic, personal, and academic outcomes is well studied, the area of e-service- learning (full-online or hybrid model) is still under-researched. Since online learning has significantly grown within the last two decades (and demonstrated exponential growth within most countries in the last 2 years due to corona pandemic) the following question arises: does e- service-learning lead to the same beneficial outcomes as the face-to-face S-L, or does physical contact with the community (i.e. lack of it) significantly effects obtained outcomes? The opportunity to further investigate this issue presented itself when an elective course Service- learning and social interventions, designed for the first-year social work students, piloted a hybrid model as a response to corona pandemic conditions. This work aims to explore the benefits of introducing the S-L method to first-year university students and to investigate possible moderation effects related to the modality of students' engagement in the community. In accordance with the quasi-experimental design, 22 students (11 in a full online S-L model group and 11 in a hybrid model group) voluntarily participated in 2 measurements – one at the beginning and the other at the end of the S-L course. In both measurements, participants provided anonymous self-assessment of general self-efficacy, civic efficacy, social responsibility personal beliefs and values, participation skills and teamwork therefore mixed factorial ANOVAs were conducted to provide an answer regarding the problem of the study. Analysis of the main effects revealed that S-L experience did not significantly affect general self-efficacy and social responsibility personal beliefs, but it did enhance civic efficacy (F (1, 20) = 10.69 ; η2p = 0.35), social responsibility personal values (F (1, 20) = 6.56 ; η2p = 0.25), participation skills (F (1, 20) = 18.12 ; η2p = 0.48) and teamwork (F (1, 20) = 12.28 ; η2p = 0.38). The only statistically significant interaction was found related to civic efficacy (F (1, 20) = 7.43 ; η2p = 0.27), suggesting greater improvement in civic efficacy in the case of hybrid S-L. Findings of the present study demonstrate that implementation of S-L (in both hybrid and full- online model) in the first-year study leads to enhancement in generic skills and civic beliefs and values, implicating desirable positive effects of this method - not just for social work students, but for students in other disciplines too. Additionally, results suggest that modality of S-L experience plays an important role in some areas (e.g., civic-efficacy) – indicating the need for further discloser of S-L modality-dependent variables and a requirement for consideration of an e-course-modifications related to desired course goals and outcomes.

Provedba istraživanja sa zatvorenicama općenito je otežana zbog posebnoga položaja i uvjeta u kojima se nalaze, a istraživanja o percepciji njihove budućnosti vrlo je malo. Cilj je ovoga rada ispitati percepciju budućnosti i očekivanja zatvorenica u budućnosti sa svrhom dobivanja uvida i predlaganja nekih specifičnih metoda rada na sebi za vrijeme boravka na izdržavanju kazne. Provedeno je kvalitativno istraživanje u kojemu su se podatci prikupljali putem polustrukturiranih intervjua. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo devet zatvorenica koje su se u trenutku provedbe istraživanja nalazile na izdržavanju kazne zatvora u kaznionici. Podatci su obrađeni putem tematske analize sadržaja. Rezultati su pokazali da zatvorenice svoju budućnost uglavnom vide pozitivno, ali su i svjesne određenih poteškoća i izazova s kojima će se morati suočiti nakon otpusta. Zatvorenice budućnost planiraju provesti u okruženju obitelji i brizi za djecu te se nadaju boljem funkcioniranju obitelji u budućnosti. Izazovom smatraju nadoknadu vremena koje su provele u kaznionici, rješavanje pitanja skrbništva nad maloljetnom djecom i pronalazak posla zbog moguće osude okoline i predrasuda prema bivšim zatvorenicama. Također, za pojedine zatvorenice izazov je i mogućnost recidiva, u čemu će biti ključan rad na sebi i želja za promjenom., Conducting research among female prison population is generally difficult given the specific position of these women and the accompanying conditions. In addition, very few studies have addressed their perceptions of the future. The aim of this paper is to examine perceptions and expectations of the future among female prisoners to gain insight in the matter and propose specific methods of self-improvement during the execution of prison sentence. Qualitative research based on semi-structured interviews for data collection has been carried out. Nine female prisoners serving prison sentence in a penitentiary took part in the research. The data was processed by using the content analysis. The findings have shown that, in general, female prisoners demonstrated positive outlook for the future, although they were aware of the difficulties and challenges they had to face upon release. Female prisoners were planning to spend time with family members, looking after their children. They also hoped for improved family functioning. In respect of challenges, they referred to the problems of making up for the time spent in the penitentiary, addressing the issue of child custody and finding a job in light of disapproval of former female prisoners and prejudice against them. Furthermore, in case of some female prisoners, the possibility of reoffending represented a challenge. In that sense, self-improvement and desire for change were of crucial importance.

Prikazani su rezultati istraživanja koji govore u prilog tome da je za konzumaciju alkohola kod mladih ključan vršnjački pritisak, no on može biti povećan kod mladih koji doživljavaju više odbacivanja od strane roditelja.

Risk behaviours in youth are often the result of personal identity issues and internal conflicts, connected with the need for new and more complex excitement, and a new image about themselves. Such behaviours often precede delinquent behaviour or occur with delinquent behaviour. It also could be related to impulsive decision-making, negligent behaviour, conflict with peers or authority, and having a significant negative impact on the wider society. The aim of this paper is to gain insight the experiences of young people with risk behaviour involved in an individual psychosocial treatment at the youth counselling centre. The purpose of the study was to find out the circumstances (behaviours and acts) of youth involvement into treatment, as well as to learn about the treatment effectiveness and the satisfaction with the treatment from youth perspective. In this qualitative study the purposeful sampling was used. Twelve young people with risk behaviour involved in individual psychosocial treatment were participating (age 18 to 22). Semi-structured interviews were conducted. The data were processed by qualitative content analysis. The results have shown that youth with risk behaviours are included in an individual psychosocial treatment mostly because of the criminal offenses: misuse of drug substances, criminal acts against life and body and property delicts. The individual psychosocial treatment was beneficial for youth because they experienced contentious and open conversation with the therapist, developed ability for self- control, and improved their relationships. It also helped them in overcoming the school's responsibilities, in submitting job application procedure, and in planning life for the future. Participants stated that was beneficial for them that they could express their personal thoughts, discuss about thematic of their personal significance, gaining insights into their own mistakes supported by specialized and confidential therapist. This study indicated the significant role of the individual psychosocial treatment in re-socialization process of youth with risk behaviour offering a new life perspective for their safer future.

15. Family acceptance, peer pressure and alcohol abuse in young people

First habits connected to alcohol drinking young people gain in the family. Misuse of alcohol and other addictive substances in young people is often connected to complex family situations and family problems while drinking model is primarily developed in peer groups. The aim of this study was to examine the connection between young peoples perception of parental acceptance- rejection, peer pressure and some sociodemographic characteristics (gender, family structure, parents education, subjective estimation of family income) with alcohol consumption. The participants were first year students at the University of Zagreb (different faculties) (N=227). The research was conducted d using the web questionnaire consisted of four parts: The Questionnaire of peer pressure constructed by Lebedina Manzoni, Lotar and Ricijaš in 2008., Parental acceptance- rejection Questionnaire constructed by Rohner in 1984, Socio- demographic questionnaire and the Questionnaire about the alcohol consumption both constructed for the purpose of this research. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic and Pearsons correlation coefficient. The results have shown significant correlation between alcohol consumption and peer pressure. The perception of parental acceptance-rejection is associated with the peer pressure.

17. Stigmatiziranost maloljetnih počinitelja kaznenih djela od strane njihovih vršnjaka u Zagrebu (RH) i Posušju (BiH)

Adolescencija i mladenaštvo je razdoblje u kojem se događaju mnoge promjene, a reakcija okoline na te promjene i ponašanje može utjecati na buduće ponašanje pojedinca. Vršnjaci imaju snažan i neprocjenjiv utjecaj na ponašanje mladih. U razdoblju mladenaštva mladi često eksperimentiraju s raznim ponašanjima, a percepcija mladih od strane drugih (vršnjaka) kao počinitelja kaznenih djela ili nekoga tko se ponaša kao počinitelj kaznenih djela može otežati njihovu uspješnu integraciju u društvo. O tome govore teorija etiketiranja (Glasser i sur. 1967., Melossi, 1985. i Braithwaite, 1989.). U ovom radu prikazani su rezultati o stigmatiziranosti mladih počinitelja kaznenih djela od strane njihovih vršnjaka u Zagrebu (Hrvtaksa) i Posušju (BiH). U ispitivanju je korišten Upitnik za procjenu neformalne stigmatizacije maloljetnih počinitelja kaznenih djela od strane njihovih vršnjaka (Majdak i Kamenov, 2006., prema Majdak 2009). Radi se o Likertovoj skali od 35 tvrdnji. Skalu čine tri faktora: odbacivanje (15 čestica), prihvaćanje (11 čestica) i uvjerenja o osobinama počinitelja kaznenih djela (9 čestica). Sudionici istraživanja su srednjoškolci iz Zagreba (N=173) i Posušja (N=148). Podaci su obrađeni u programskom paketu SPSS korištenjem deskriptivne statistike i T-testa za utvrđivanje razlika između sudionika po urbanost područja stanovanja i školskom usmjerenju. Rezultati pokazuju da srednjoškolci u Posušju više stigmatiziraju maloljetne počinitelje kaznenih djela, kao i da polaznici srednjih strukovnih škola manje stigmatiziraju maloljetne počinitelje kaznenih djela nego polaznici gimnazija.

18. Determinantes of Self-Image and Self-Esteem in Juveniles with Socialy Unacceptable Behaviour

Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati doprinos socio-demografskih varijabli, stigmatizacije, samomotrenja i eksternalnosti objašnjenju samopoimanja i samopoštovanja muških maloljetnika društveno neprihvatljivog ponašanja s izvaninstitucionalnim mjerama (N=146) i mjerama izdvajanja iz obitelji i smještanja u instituciju (N=126). U istraživanju je korišten Upitnik o općim i socio-demografskim podacima, Coopersmithov upitnik samopoštovanja, Offerov revidirani upitnik samopoimanja, Skala eksternalnosti, Skala samomotrenja i Upitnik za ispitivanje doživljaja neformalne stigmatizacije maloljetnika društveno neprihvatljivog ponašanja. Podaci su obrađeni hijerarhijskom regresijskom analizom, a postupno su uvođeni blokovi varijabli: školovanje i dob, broj roditelja i bračno stanje, obrazovanost i zaposlenost roditelja te procjena materijalnog statusa, prethodne intervencije prema obitelji i maloljetniku, formalna i neformalna stigmatizacija, te samomotrenje i eksternalnost. Uključenim varijablama objašnjeno je 46% varijance samopoimanja i 42% varijance samopoštovanja maloljetnika društveno neprihvatljivog ponašanja. Najboljim prediktorima samopoimanja pokazale su se formalna i neformalna stigmatizacija te procjena materijalnog stanja vlastite obitelji, dok su se prediktorima samopoštovanja uz neformalnu stigmatizaciju pokazale još eksternalnost, procjena materijalnog stanja vlastite obitelji, broj prethodno pokrenutih postupaka pred sudom za kazneno djelo i dob sudionika., The goal was to explore the contribution of socio-demographic variables, stigmatization, self-monitoring and externality in explanation of self-image and self-esteem of male juveniles with socially unacceptable behavior on whom were applied non-institutional (N=146) and institutional measures (N=126). In the research were applied Coopersmith’s questionnaire of self-esteem, Offer’s revised questionnaire of self-image, Externality scale, Self-monitoring scale, Questionnaire for assessing the experience of stigmatization in juveniles with socially unacceptable behavior and assessed socio-demographic data. A hierarchic regression analysis was conducted, with following blocks of variables: first block connected to school status and age, second block connected to number of parents and marital status, third block about education and employment of parents as well as the assessment of financial status, fourth block about former interventions to family and juvenile, fifth block of formal and informal stigmatization and sixth block about self-monitoring and externality. Included variables explained 46% of variance of self-image and 42% of variance of self-esteem of juveniles with socially unacceptable behavior. The best predictors of self-image were formal and informal stigmatization and the assessment of financial status of the family, while in predicting the self-esteem the best predictors were informal stigmatization, externality, the assessment of financial status of the family, the number of former interventions by the court for criminal act and the age of juvenile.

20. Maloljetni počinitelji kaznenih djela u Hrvatskoj i stigmatizacija: mišljenje adolescenata i delinkvenata

Cilj istraživanja bio je istražiti kakvo je mišljenje adolescenata o maloljetnim počiniteljima kaznenih djela, te kako sami maloljetni počinitelji kaznenih djela doživljavaju odnos drugih prema sebi. U istraživanju su korištene fokusne grupe (u svakoj ustanovi dvije fokusne grupe od 8 članova). Uzorak su činili maloljetnici u dobi od 14 do 18 godina u dvije srednje škole u Zagrebu (stručne)i maloljetni počinitelji kaznenih djela u dvije ustanove za maloljetnike s izraženim poremećajima u ponašanju i delinkventnim ponašanjem (Ivanec-Pahinsko i Karlovac). Pitanja za adolescente odnosila su se na njihovo percipiranje maloljetnih počinitelja kaznenih djela, osjećaje, iskustva s njima i odnos prema njima, te kako smatraju da društvo gleda na njih. Pitanja za maloljetne počinitelje kaznenih djela odnosila su se na odnos različitih osoba iz okoline prema njima, kako društvo gleda na njih te što bi im pomoglo. Rezultati se pokazali da adolescenti imaju različit odnos prema maloljetnim počiniteljima kaznenih djela. Neki smatraju da su maloljetni počinitelji kaznenih djela normalni mladi ljudi, koji su napravili nešto što ih je dovelo u sukob sa zakonom i sada se više ne mogu iz toga izvući (tako najviše misle učenici stručne škole za cestovni promet u Zagrebu među kojima ima počinitelja kaznenih djela). Na drugoj strani imamo neke koji smatraju da su maloljetni počinitelji kaznenih djela loši ljudi (to je razmišljanje učenika srednje škole). Adolescenti smatraju da su maloljetni počinitelji kaznenih djela u Hrvatskoj stigmatizirani zbog nedovoljnog znanja okoline o njima i o tome što ih je dovelo u tu situaciju. Glavni uzrok takvom ponašanju vide u utjecaju obitelji i vršnjaka u školi. Maloljetni počinitelji kaznenih djela smatraju da su stigmatizirani od strane drugih iz bliže i dalje okoline. Najviše osjećaju da su stigmatizirani od strane vršnjaka, susjeda i policije s kojom su imali najbolnija iskustva. Smatraju da je to što im se dogodilo posljedica nesreće i utjecaja drugih i da oni sami nisu ni za što odgovorni. Imaju jako izražen osjećaj za nepravdu koja im je učinjena i malo vjere u bolju budućnost.

Rad se bavi ispitivanjem tijeka provođenja specifičnog tipa individualne podrške djeci u uvjetima rata i prognaničkog života u obliku intenzivnog druženja s "velikim prijateljem - prijateljicom” . Time je djelomično nadoknaden gubiłak bližnjih i dobrog dijela djetetove socijalne mreže. Kvantitativnim praćenjem nekoliko ključnih varijabli tijekom jedne školske godine zabilježen je napredak. Kvalitativna analiza dnevnika "velikih prijatelja” pokazuje nesumnjive pozitivne rezultate ovog oblika pomoći viktimiziranoj djeci, ali i njihovim obiteljima., This article deals with implementation of specific type of individual support to children in war environment and displacement life conditions inform of intensive socializing with "bigfriend". Loss of significant others and loss of big part of their social network have been, in that way, partially replaced. During one school year, friendships were followed up (quantitative analyzes of few important variables) and improvement has been noticed. Qualitative analyzes of "big friend's" diaries', shows positive results of this kind of help to victimized children and their families.

Young people who are at risk of high school dropping out are specific vulnerable group because they are at risk of social exclusion and entry into the poverty trap. High school dropping out in the European context has been identified as a significant social problem but in the Croatian context, it is so far not fully recognized and explored. Research shows that this is a complex issue that should examine on an individual, family, school, peer and wider social level. The consequences of school-drop out are multi-layered. They are reflecting on difficult and uncertain employment, and also have adverse effects on person's psychological well-being and civic involvement, and therefore often lead to social exclusion of individuals. The problem of school-drop out requires holistic and multidisciplinary approach, especially at the level of the problem identification, early recognition of the drop-out risks and timely intervention. Therefore developing prevention programs to work with families and students as well as the reintegration of students who dropped out of the education system is essential Investing in the education of youth and providing various social policy measures in purpose to prevent and reduce students dropping-out represents an investment in more prosper future o four young generation and society in general. Siromaštvo je višedimenzionalna pojava koja nema jedinstvene definicije. U EU je prisutan trend porasta broja djece u riziku od siromaštva, socijalne isključenosti (svako 4. dijete je u riziku). Čak i vrlo kratka razdoblja deprivacije mogu imati ozbiljne posljedice za dijete, dok je s druge strane intervencijama u ranom djetinjstvu i relativno niskim financijskim ulaganjima u djetinjstvo moguće ostvariti dugoročnu korist. Neke od posljedica i povezanosti sa siromaštvom su niska razina obrazovanja, lošiji kognitivni razvoj, narušeno mentalno zdravlje i poteškoće u sferi roditeljstva (ekonomski stres kao važan predisponirajući čimbenik za autoritaran stil), ali i negativne posljedice što se tiče kasnijih životnih prilika – koje su dugotrajnije kod djece negoli kod odraslih. Važno je poznavati teorijsku podlogu poput obiteljske otpornosti, ekološke teorije te teorije socijalnog identiteta. Mladi i obitelji koje žive u siromaštvu doživljavaju određene razlike s obzirom na to žive li u bogatijoj zajednici (skloniji racionalizaciji, školu vide kao odskočnu dasku za izlazak iz siromaštva) ili siromašnijoj zajednici (socijalne naknade kao osnovan prihod obitelji, biraju škole koje traju kraće i gdje je plaćena praksa). Nezaobilazan je „začarani krug“ čiji prekid nije nimalo lagan, zato je važna uloga države, relevantnih stručnjaka i društva., Poverty can be explained as a multidimensional phenomenon that does not have an unique definition. EU has an increasing trend of children at risk of poverty and social exclusion (every 4th child is at mentioned risk). Even very short periods of deprivation can have serious consequences for a child,. On the other hand, early childhood interventions and relatively low financial investments in can have long-term benefits. Some of the consequences and correlations to poverty are: lower level of education, poor cognitive development, poor mental health,, parenting difficulties (economic stress as an important predisposing factor for an authoritarian parenting style) and negative consequences regarding later life opportunities (children are more likely to have long-lasting consequences, unlike adults). It is important to know the theoretical background such as the concept of a family resilience, the ecosystem theory and the social identity theory. Young people and families living in poverty can experience certain differences depending on whether they live in wealthier community where more rationalization is being used, schools are seen as the factor that can help breaking the poverty cycle. On the contrary, in poorer community social benefits are viewed as a primary family income, schools that can be finished sooner and also schools where a practical part is paid are choosed way more. The „vicious circle“ is inevitable to mention and breaking it can be extremely hard, that is why the intervention of the state, relevant experts and society is more than needed.

Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je pomažućim profesijama dodatno približiti probleme mentalnog zdravlja, njihove uzroke, simptome, posljedice, ali i načine na koje se mogu s njima nositi. Činjenica je da se pomagači na radnom mjestu susreću s jako puno stresnih situacija koje utječu na njih same, na njihovo radno okruženje, ali i na međuljudske odnose van posla. U ovom radu govori se o utjecaju stresa na mentalno zdravlje, uzrocima, posljedicama i simptomima stresa te načinu suočavanja sa istim. Također se govori i o profesionalnom stresu, njegovom utjecaju na mentalno zdravlje pomagača, ali i o jako čestoj posljedici, a to je sagorijevanje na radu. Ono što je ključno i od iznimne važnosti za pomagače je naučiti prepoznati simptome i poremećaje mentalnog zdravlja te na vrijeme poduzeti određene korake i potražiti adekvatnu pomoć kako bi prvenstveno mogli pomoći sebi, a onda i drugima., The goal of this thesis is to bring mental health problems closer to helping profession workers and to explain their causes, symptoms and outcomes as well as possible ways in which they can be dealt with. It is a fact that helping profession workers encounter a lot of stressful situations at work which affect workers themselves, their professional and work environment and other interpersonal relationships outside of work. This thesis discusses the impact of stress on mental health, its causes, symptoms, outcomes and possible ways how to deal with stress. Furthermore, the thesis referes to professional stress, the effect it has on helping profession workers' mental health and its most common outcome – burnout at work. The crucial and the most important thing for helping profession workers is to learn to recognize symptoms and disorders connected to mental health. By learning that, they can prevent problems or, at least, seek adequate help so that they can primarily help themselves, and finally others.

30. Supervizija socijalnih radnika koji rade sa žrtvama obiteljskog nasilja

Obiteljsko nasilje globalni je problem koji se javlja u brojnim obiteljima te na taj način ugrožava dobrobit njezinih članova. Put do donošenja odluke o napuštanju nasilnog člana obitelji može biti dug te za to vrijeme žrtva proživljava brojna traumatska iskustva. U kasnijem rješavanju istih, osiguravanjem sigurnosti te osnaživanju žrtve za preuzimanje kontrole nad vlastitim životom ulogu imaju brojni stručnjaci iz raznih sustava, među kojima su i socijalni radnici. Socijalni radnici, u svom radu sa žrtvama, izloženi su slušanju i radu s traumama žrtava što povećava rizik iskustva indirektne traume te, posljedično, profesionalnog sagorijevanja. Isti se mogu prevenirati ranim i kontinuiranim intervencijama, točnije kontinuiranom brigom o mentalnoj dobrobiti socijalnih radnika. Jedan od načina brige za dobrobit istih je redovita i kvalitetna supervizija. Kako bi supervizija predstavljala zaštitni faktor u odnosu na indirektnu traumu i profesionalno sagorijevanje, važno je da ista ispunjava očekivanja socijalnih radnika. Stoga je cilj ovog istraživanja bio dobiti uvid u očekivanja i neposredna iskustva od supervizije socijalnih radnika koji rade sa žrtvama obiteljskog nasilja. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo šest socijalnih radnica s kojima su provedeni polustrukturirani intervjui kroz koje se ispitivalo koja očekivanja socijalne radnice imaju od supervizije te kakva su njihova neposredna iskustva s istom. Rezultati su pokazali kako socijalne radnice od supervizije očekuju dobivanje podrške od strane grupe, razmjenu iskustava s istom, rad na unapređenju profesionalnih kompetencija i osobnih kapaciteta, emocionalno rasterećenje, unapređenje odnosa u timu, profesionalno vođenje te mjesto od povjerenja. Vezano uz iskustvo, rezultati ukazuju kako socijalne radnice imaju iskustvo ventiliranja u superviziji, dobivanja grupne podrške, slaganja sa supervizorom, iskustvo profesionalnog razvoja, rada na osobnom razvoju te korištenja kreativnih metoda u supervizijskom radu. Vidljivo je kako je dosadašnja supervizija ispunjavala njihova očekivanja što dodatno ukazuje na neophodnost osiguravanja i dostupnost iste kako bi mogli nastaviti pružati što kvalitetniju brigu i usluge., Domestic violence is a global problem that occurs in many families and thus endangers the well-being of its members. The path to making the decision to leave the perpetrator can be long, and during that time the victim goes through many traumatic experiences. Numerous specialists from various systems, including social workers, play a role in later solving of traumas, by ensuring safety and empowering the victim to take control of their own life. Social workers, in their professional work with victims, are exposed to listening and working with victims' traumas, which increases the risk of experiencing indirect trauma and, consequently, professional burnout. These can be prevented by early and continuous interventions, more precisely, by continuous care for the mental well-being of social workers. One of the ways of caring for their well-being is regular and quality supervision. For supervision to be a protective factor in relation to indirect trauma and professional burnout, it is important that it meets the expectations of social workers. Therefore, the aim of this research was to gain an insight into the expectations and immediate experiences from the supervision of social workers who work with domestic violence victims. Six social workers participated in the research, with whom semi-structured interviews were conducted, through which the expectations of social workers from supervision and their immediate experiences with it were examined. The results showed that social workers expect support from the group, exchange of experiences with the group, work on improving professional competences and personal capacities, emotional relief, improvement of team relations, professional guidance, and a place of trust from supervision. Regarding experience, the results indicate that social workers have experience of venting in supervision, receiving group support, agreeing with the supervisor, then experience of professional development, work on personal development and use of creative methods in supervision. It is obvious that the supervision met their expectations, which further indicates the necessity of ensuring availability of the same in order for social workers to be able provide the highest quality care and services.

Uvid je dobiven prilikom analiziranja postojeće dokumentacije i relevantnih rezultata istraživanja. Prilikom analiziranja osam sveučilišta u Republici Hrvatskoj (Split, Zadar, Rijeka, Dubrovnik, Pula, Zagreb, Osijek i Slavonski Brod), dobiven je uvid o tome kako je pozicionirana podrška studentima s invaliditetom u sveučilišnim dokumentima i u pravnim dokumentima Republike Hrvatske te djelovanje i ustrojstvo Ureda za studente s invaliditetom., The main goal of this paper is to gain insight into the forms and quality of support intended for students with disabilities in higher education in the Republic of Croatia. The insight was obtained during the analysis of existing documentation and relevant research results. During the analysis of eight universities in the Republic of Croatia (Split, Zadar, Rijeka, Dubrovnik, Pula, Zagreb, Osijek and Slavonski Brod), an insight was gained into how support for students with disabilities is positioned in university documents and in legal documents of the Republic of Croatia, as well as the operation and organization. Rad započinje tematiku suicida kroz povijesni pregled, zatim razrađuje taj poseban fenomen kroz rizične i zaštitne čimbenike, epidemiologiju u Republici Hrvatskoj, prikaz u medijima kao poseban problem sadašnjice, samo definiranje značajnih pojmova te razradu, i konačno prepoznavanje kroz ponašajne i druge obrasce, te pregled preventivnih programa, pri čemu je posebno orijentiran na mlade kao ugroženu skupinu. Suicid mladih je fenomen koji zaokuplja stručnjake različitih struka i koji ga pokušavaju svakim danom sve više razumjeti. Mlade osobe, kao svaka osoba posebna i specifična za sebe, zahtijevaju individualan pristup u pružanju pomoći i prije svega razumijevanje njihovih problema. Važnu ulogu ima okolina, prvenstveno obiteljska, a zatim i stručnjaci koji trebaju sudjelovati u prevenciji i edukaciji kako bi se smanjio broj suicida, te općenito društvo u cjelini. Razvijajući podržavajuću okolinu koja ima razumijevanja za mlade, stvaramo pozitivno okruženje u kojem svaki problem ima pozitivno rješenje., The paper begins with the topic of suicide through a historical overview, then elaborates on this special phenomenon through risk and protective factors, epidemiology in the Republic of Croatia, representation in the media as a special problem of the present, defining significant terms and developing concepts, and final recognition through behavioral and other patterns, with an overview of preventive programs, where the topic is especially oriented towards young people as a vulnerable group. Youth suicide is a phenomenon that fascinates experts from various professions who try to understand it more and more every day. Young people, who are special and specific as individuals, require an individual approach to providing help and, above all, an understanding of their problems. An important role is played by the environment, primarily the family, and then by experts who need to participate in prevention and education to reduce the number of suicides, as well as society as a whole. By developing a supportive and understanding environment for young people, we create a positive environment where every problem has a positive solution.

33. Neki socijalni i individualni aspekti ovisnosti o internetu među srednjoškolcima

Iako je ovisnost o internetu još uvijek u procesu istraživanja, individualne i socijalne varijable imaju važnu ulogu u određivanju razine ovisnosti o internetu. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati povezanost između ovisnosti o internetu, usamljenosti, socijalne podrške i vršnjačkog pritiska kod srednjoškolaca. U istraživanju sudjelovalo je ukupno 105 učenika od 1. do 4. razreda, pri tome 43 srednjoškolaca, 59 srednjoškolki i 3 osobe koje se spolno nisu opredijelile i to gimnazijskog smjera te strukovnog smjera uključujući ekonomiste, CNC operatere i prodavače. Učenici i učenice upitnik su ispunjavali putem web ankete tijekom sata razrednika. Ovisnost o internetu značajno je pozitivna povezana s usamljenosti i vršnjačkim pritiskom te negativno sa socijalnom podrškom. Rezultati pokazuju da srednjoškolci koji prikazuju viši stupanj ovisnosti o internetu pokazuju i višu razinu socijalne i emocionalne usamljenosti, kao i višu razinu percipiranog pritiska na konformiranje vršnjačkoj grupi. Uz to, srednjoškolci koji pokazuju niži stupanj ovisnosti o internetu prikazuju višu razinu podršku od strane obitelji, prijatelja i značajne druge osobe. Na kraju, vršnjački pritisak, a posebno usamljenost i socijalna podrška, pokazali su se međusobno značajno povezanima. Dobiveni rezultati mogu doprinijeti obrazovanju socijalnih radnika o važnosti ovisnosti o internetu te razvoju programa sveobuhvatne prevencije kao i razvijanju programa liječenja ovisnosti o internetu kod mladih. Zaključno, posljedice koje ova ovisnost ostavlja na pojedince daje prostor za nastavak istraživanja, kako u socijalnom radu, tako i u drugim znanostima., Although Internet addiction is still under research, individual and social variables play an important role in determining the level of Internet addiction. The aim of this research was to examine the connection between Internet addiction, loneliness, social support and peer pressure in high school students. A total of 105 students from 1st to 4th grade took part in the research, including 43 high school boys, 59 high school girls and 3 people who did not choose their gender, from gymnasium and vocational schools, including economists, CNC operators and trade school. Students filled out the questionnaire via a web survey during teacher's class. Internet addiction is significantly positively correlated to loneliness and peer pressure, and negatively correlated to social support. The results show that high school students who show a higher level of Internet addiction also show a higher level of social and emotional loneliness. Also, high school students who show a higher degree of Internet addiction also show a higher level of perceived pressure to conform to the peer group. In addition, high school students who show lower levels of Internet addiction report higher levels of support from family, friends, and significant others. Lastly, peer pressure, especially loneliness and social support, proved to be significantly related to each other. The obtained results can contribute to the education of social workers about the importance of Internet addiction and the development of a comprehensive prevention program as well as the development of a treatment program for Internet addiction among young people. In conclusion, the consequences that this addiction leaves on individuals gives room for continued research, both in social work and in other sciences.

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi kakva je privrženost školi, percipirani vršnjački pritisak te samopoštovanje učenika obzirom na korištenje usluge poludnevnog boravka. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku osnovnoškolaca šestih, sedmih i osmih razreda na području Krapinsko- zagorske županije te Grada Zagreba. Sveukupno je sudjelovalo 103 učenika koji su uključeni u poludnevni boravak Centra za pružanje usluga u zajednici Zagorje i Centra Dugave te učenika Osnovne škole Bedekovčina koji nisu korisnici navedene socijalne usluge. Istraživanje je provedeno u osnovnim školama i poludnevnim boravcima gdje su učenici ispunjavali anketni upitnik po principu ,,papir-olovka''. 53,4% učenika koji su sudjelovali u istraživanju uključeni su u poludnevni boravak, u trajanju od nekoliko mjeseci pa do više od 4 školske godine. Uzorak je bio prigodan. Rezultati su pokazali da učenici s višom razinom samopoštovanja imaju i viši stupanj privrženosti školi. Što se tiče ispitivanja razlika, pokazalo se da učenici uključeni u poludnevni boravak iskazuju nižu razinu samopoštovanja te niži stupanj privrženosti školi. Također, pokazalo se da dječaci iskazuju višu razinu percipiranog vršnjačkog pritiska, no nisu se pokazale razlike obzirom na razred koji učenici pohađaju. Razlike u privrženost školi, percipiranom vršnjačkom pritisku te samopoštovanju učenika obzirom na vrijeme provedeno u programu poludnevnog boravka nisu se pokazale statistički značajnim kao ni povezanost između vršnjačkog pritiska i samopoštovanja., The aim of this research was to determine the kind of attachment to school, perceived peer pressure and self-esteem of students with regard to the use of the half-day stay service. The research was conducted on a sample of sixth, seventh and eighth grade elementary school students in the Krapina-Zagorje County and the City of Zagreb. A total of 103 students participated in the half-day stay of the Center for the provision of services in the Zagorje community and the Dugave Center, as well as students of the Bedekovčina Elementary School who are not users of the aforementioned social service. The research was carried out in elementary schools and half-day schools, where students filled out a paper-and-pencil questionnaire. 53.4% of the students who participated in the research were included in half- day stays, lasting several months and up to more than 4 school years. The sample was convenient. The results showed that students with a higher level of self-esteem also have a higher level of attachment to school. As for the examination of differences, it was shown that students involved in half-day care show a lower level of self-esteem and a lower level of attachment to school. Also, it was shown that boys show a higher level of perceived peer pressure, but no differences were shown regarding the class the students attend. Differences in attachment to school, perceived peer pressure and self-esteem of students regarding the time spent in the half-day program did not prove to be statistically significant, nor did the connection between peer pressure and self-esteem.

Glavni cilj ovog istraživanja bilo je ispitati kakvu ulogu, iz perspektive stručnjaka koji rade sa zatvorenicima i bivšim zatvorenicima, imaju edukativni programi koji se provode u penalnim ustanovama. Svrha samog istraživanja odnosila se na prikupljanje podataka o korisnosti edukativnih programa kao i o tome gdje stručnjaci vide prostor za njihovo unapređenje. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo pet stručnjakinja koje imaju iskustvo u radu sa zatvorenicima i bivšim zatvorenicima, kao i iskustvo u provedbi edukativnih programa u penalnim ustanovama. Sudionice su zaposlene u neprofitnim organizacijama te dolaze iz različitih geografskih regija. Za prikupljanje podataka korištena je metoda polustrukturiranog intervjua, dok je obrada podataka izvršena metodom tematske analize. Rezultati istraživanja upućuju na korisnost ovakvih programa za zatvorenike tijekom i nakon izvršenja zatvorske kazne i to u području obrazovanja, zaposlenja, obnavljanja obiteljskih i partnerskih odnosa te stjecanja socijalnih vještina. Ono na što rezultati istraživanja također upućuju je i širok spektar mogućnosti za njihovo unapređenje, koji objedinjuje financijsku podlogu, penalne sustave i neprofitne organizacije. Dobiveni rezultati mogu poslužiti kao korisne informacije prilikom osmišljavanja edukativnih programa koji će se u penalnim ustanovama provoditi u narednim godinama, kako bi njihova provedba bila što efikasnija, ali i kako bi što kvalitetnije odgovarali kako potrebama zatvorenika tako i potrebama penalnog sustava., The main goal of this research was to examine the role of educational programs implemented in penal institutions from the perspective of experts who work with prisoners and ex-prisoners. The purpose of this research was to collect data on the usefulness of educational programs as well as on where experts see some space for their improvement. There were five female experts who participated in the research. Those experts have experience in working with prisoners and ex-prisoners, as well as experience in implementing educational programs in penal institutions. The participants are employed in non-profit organizations and come from different geographical regions. The method used for collecting the data was semi-structured interview, while data processing was performed using the thematic analysis method. The results of the research point to the usefulness of such programs for prisoners during and after the execution of the prison sentence, specific in the field of education, employment, restoration of family and partner relationships and acquisition of social skills. What the research results also point to is a wide spectrum of possibilities for their improvement, which unites the financial base, penal systems and non-profit organizations. The obtained results can serve as useful information while designing educational programs that will be implemented in penal institutions in the coming years, in order to make their implementation as efficient as possible, but also to meet the needs of prisoners and the needs of penal system as well as possible

U središtu ovog rada je volontiranje starijih osoba u području palijativne skrbi budući da stanovništvo, pa ni same starije osobe, nisu dovoljno upoznate s tim područjem. Cilj istraživanja je dobiti uvid u iskustvo volontiranja u starijoj životnoj dobi u području palijativne skrbi. Provedeno je kvalitativno istraživanje u kojem je sudjelovalo deset sudionika starije životne dobi koji volontiraju u ovom području. Sudionici su izabrani namjernim uzorkom, a podaci su se prikupljali polustrukturiranim intervjuom te su, potom, obrađeni postupkom tematske analize. U radu su obrađena tri tematska područja, koja se odnose na razloge, prednosti i izazove volontiranja u ovom području iz perspektive starijih osoba. Razloge volontiranja starije osobe opisuju kroz kategorije motivacije za uključivanje te značenja koja pridaju volontiranju. Zatim, prednosti opisuju kroz osobne dobiti, najljepša doživljena iskustva te reakcije okoline na njihovo sudjelovanje u volontiranju, koje spominju i kod izazova, uz prepreke i poteškoće s kojima se suočavaju te najteža doživljena iskustva. Zaključno, volontiranje u starijoj životnoj dobi, posebice u ovako specifičnom području, ima veliku važnost te ga je potrebno promovirati kao značajan oblik aktivnog starenja i poticati starije osobe na uključivanje, ali i osvještavati društvo o važnosti podržavanja starijih osoba prilikom uključivanja u isto., The focus of this work is the volunteering of elderly in the field of palliative care, since the population, even the elderly themselves, are not enough familiar with this area. The goal of the research is to gain insight into the experience of volunteering of elderly in the field of palliative care. In this qualitative research ten elderly participants took part. The participants were selected using a purposive sample, and the data were collected through a semi- structured interview and then were processed using thematic analysis. The paper deals with three thematic areas, which relate to the reasons, advantages and challenges of volunteering in this area from the perspective of older people. The reasons for volunteering are described through the categories of motivation for involvement and the meaning that elderly attach to volunteering. Then, they describe the advantages through personal benefits, the most beautiful experiences and other people's reactions to their participation in volunteering, which they also mention in terms of challenges, along with the obstacles and difficulties they face and the most difficult experiences. In conclusion, volunteering in older age, especially in such a specific area, has great importance and it is necessary to promote it as a significant form of active aging and to encourage older people to get involved, but also to make society aware of the importance of supporting older people when involving in it.

37. The role of physical activity in improving the quality of life from the perspective of elderly people with aerobic exercise experience

Cilj istraživanja je dobiti uvid u perspektivu starijih osoba glede njihovog iskustva sudjelovanja u grupi za aerobik starijih osoba. U kvalitativnom istraživanju sudjelovalo je 10 sudionica, članica jedne grupe za aerobik, koje su odabrane namjernim uzorkom. Podaci su prikupljeni polustrukturiranim intervjuom, a potom obrađeni postupkom tematske analize. Prema dobivenim rezultatima, starije osobe svoja iskustva sudjelovanja u aerobnom vježbanju opisuju kroz motive za bavljenje aerobikom, značaj aerobika u svakodnevnom životu, obilježja grupe za aerobik, teškoće vezane uz bavljenje aerobikom, odnose među članicama grupe za aerobik, doprinos voditeljice grupe osobnom iskustvu, iskustvo bavljenja aerobikom za vrijeme Covid-19 pandemije, reakcije okoline na bavljenje aerobikom te navode određene preporuke na temelju iskustva sudjelovanja u grupi za aerobik. Doprinos aerobika unaprjeđenju kvalitete života starijih osoba očituje se kao doprinos sudjelovanja u aerobiku fizičkom i mentalnom zdravlju, kognitivnom funkcioniranju, društvenom životu te kvaliteti slobodnog vremena. Može se zaključiti kako aerobik predstavlja poželjan i vrlo koristan oblik tjelesne aktivnosti u starosti, kojeg je potrebno razvijati i promovirati u društvu kroz povećanje njegove dostupnosti za stariju populaciju te osvještavanje društva o važnosti aerobika za zdravo i aktivno starenje., The goal of the research is to gain insight into the perspective of the elderly regarding their experience of participating in an aerobics group for the elderly. 10 participants, members of an aerobics group, participated in the qualitative research and were selected using purposive sampling. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview, and then processed through thematic analysis. According to the results obtained, elderly people describe their experiences of participating in aerobic exercise through the motives for doing aerobics, the importance of aerobics in everyday life, the characteristics of the aerobics group, difficulties related to doing aerobics, relationships between the members of the aerobics group, the contribution of the group leader to personal experience, experience of doing aerobics during the Covid-19 pandemic, environmental reactions to participation in aerobics and their certain recommendations based on the experience of participating in an aerobics group. The contribution of aerobics to the improvement of the quality of life in old age is manifested as the contribution of participation in aerobics to physical and mental health, cognitive functioning, social life and the quality of free time. It can be concluded that aerobics is a desirable and very useful form of physical activity in old age, which needs to be developed and promoted in society by increasing its availability for the elderly population and making society aware of the importance of aerobics for healthy and active ageing.

Cilj je ovog rada pružiti sažet i sistematičan pregled inozemne i domaće znanstvene literature na temu udomiteljstva osoba starije životne dobi u Republici Hrvatskoj kao zemlji s jednim od najvećih udjela starijeg stanovništva u Europi. U radu se definira udomitelj, udomiteljstvo i oblici udomiteljstva osoba starije životne dobi u Republici Hrvatskoj te se uspoređuje udomiteljstvo s ostalim oblicima skrbi za osobe starije životne dobi, kao i s udomiteljstvom djece. U ovom radu prikazan je i primjer iskustva udomitelja osoba starije životne dobi u Republici Hrvatskoj te zaključne misli autorice kojima se udomiteljstvo ističe, iako kao financijski dostupan oblik skrbi za osobe starije životne dobe, kao neodgovarajući oblik skrbi zbog brojnih neslaganja sa zakonski propisanim uvjetima i njihovoj primjeni u praksi. Primijećen je nedostatak istraženosti udomiteljstva kao oblika skrbi te su ulaganja u njegov razvitak minimalna i nedostatna., The aim of this literature review is to provide a concise and systematic review of foreign and domestic scientific literature on the topic of foster care for the elderly in the Republic of Croatia, as a country with one of the largest shares of the elderly population in Europe. The literature review defines a foster parent, foster care and forms of foster care for elderly people in the Republic of Croatia, and compares foster care with other forms of care for elderly people, as well as with foster care for children. This literature review also presents an example of the experience of foster parent of elderly people in the Republic of Croatia and the author's concluding thoughts, which emphasize foster care, although it is a financially available form of care for elderly people, as an irresponsible form of care due to numerous discrepancies in the legally prescribed conditions and their application in practice. A lack of research into foster care as a form of care has been noticed, and investments in its development are minimal and insufficient.

Cilj ovog preglednog rada je prikazati povezanost mentalnog zdravlja i siromaštva. Siromaštvo se smatra jednim od ključnih socijalnih problema današnjeg svijeta. Mentalno zdravlje sastavni je dio općeg zdravlja populacije i dobrobiti te pridonosi kvaliteti funkcioniranja pojedinaca, obitelji i zajednica. U radu se osvrćemo na značenje i definiranje siromaštva. U 21. stoljeću dogodile su se brojne negativne promjene poput recesije, porasta stope nezaposlenosti te drastičan pad životnog standarda. Prema mnogim istraživanjima siromaštvo je jedan od uzroka psihijatrijskih poremećaja. Skreće se pozornost na osobe oboljele od duševnih bolesti i brojne teškoće s kojima se susreću u svakodnevnom životu, a koje su usko povezane sa siromaštvom. Također, u radu se nastoji prikazati značajna društvena diskriminacija i stigma s kojom osobe s duševnim smetnjama svakodnevno žive., The aim of this review is to present the link between mental health and poverty. Poverty is considered to be one the leading social problems in todays world. Mental health is an essential part of population's general health and well being it contributes to quality functioning od individuals, families and communities. In this paper we look up on the meaning and definitions of poverty. In the 21. century many negative changes occured, such as recession, increase in the unemployment rate and significant decline in social standards. According to many studies poverty is one of the main causes of mental disorders. Furthermore, attention is drawn to person's with mental health illness and many difficulites they face in everyday life which are linked to living in poverty. Also, this paper aims to present significant social discrimination and stigma.

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati povezanost socioekonomskog statusa te manifestacije rizičnih i delinkventnih ponašanja kod srednjoškolaca, kao i ispitati razlike prema dobi i vrsti škole obzirom na iskazivanja rizičnih i delinkventnih ponašanja srednjoškolaca. Podaci su prikupljani na uzorku od 200 srednjoškolaca (N=200) te je korišten neprobabilistički prigodni uzorak. Prema dobivenim podacima postoje statistički značajne razlike prema spolu obzirom na učestalost iskazivanja rizičnih i delinkventnih ponašanja (M-W U= 3550,500, p.01)., The aim of this research was to examine the connection between socioeconomic status and manifestations of risky and delinquent behaviors among high school students, as well as to examine differences according to age and type of school with regard of high school students the exhibiting risky and delinquent behaviors. The data was collected on a sample of 200 high school students (N=200) and non-probabilistic convenience sample was used. According to the obtained data, there are statistically significant differences according to gender with regard to the frequency of risky and delinquent behaviors of high school students (M-W U= 3550.500, p.01) between the amount of the parents' monthly salary and the frequency of risky and delinquent behaviors, but further analysis also determined that there is a statistically significant, non-significant and positive correlation (r=0.188, p.01).

Beskućništvo je problem koji je prisutan u gotovo svim državama diljem svijeta, a usko je povezan uz siromaštvo i socijalnu isključenost. Stav javnosti prema beskućništvu je iznimno bitan jer uvelike utječe na izradu javnih politika i odnosa države prema beskućnicima. U radu je prikazano istraživanje provedeno web anketom u kojem je sudjelovalo 580 sudionika, a kojemu je cilj bio ispitati stavove opće populacije o beskućnicima (atribucija uzroka beskućništva i stav prema beskućnicima) te odgovornosti države i društva općenito u rješavanju i ublažavanju problema beskućništva. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju da nema razlike između građana s obzirom na osnovna sociodemografska obilježja (dob, spol, materijalni i obrazovni status) na varijabli atribucije odgovornosti prema beskućništvo te da navjeći broj sudionika smatra državu i društvo odgovornim u rješavanju problema beskućništva., Homelessness is a problem that is present in almost all countries around the world, and is closely related to poverty and social exclusion. The public's attitude towards homelessness is extremely important because it greatly influences the creation of public policies and the state's attitude towards the homeless. This paper presents research conducted by a web survey in which 580 participants took part, the aim of which was to examine the attitudes of the general population about the homeless (attribution of the causes of homelessness and attitude towards the homeless) and the responsibility of the state and society in general in solving and alleviating the problem of homelessness. The results of the research indicate that there is no difference between citizens with regard to basic sociodemographic characteristics (age, gender, financial and educational status) on the variable of attribution of responsibility for homelessness, and that the majority of participants consider the state and society responsible for solving the problem of homelessness.

Ovaj rad bavi se temom pametne dekarceracije. Prikazuju se obilježja, politike i prakse koje su oblikovale dugotrajno razdoblje masovnog zatvaranja u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama. Središnji dio rada odnosi se na predstavljanje pojma pametne dekarceracije, i bazira se na radu autora Epperson i Pettus-Davis (2015.) koji su ga prvi i predstavili. Pristup pametne dekarceracije javlja se kao odgovor na eru masovnog zatvaranja, te se u radu prikazuju ciljevi i koncepti koji ga vode i na koje se oslanja pri (pokušaju) transformacije kaznenopravnog sustava. Slijedi prikaz postojećih inovacija u kaznenopravnom sustavu. Na kraju rada govori se o važnosti socijalnih radnika, potrebnim promjenama u njihovom obrazovanju i ulozi koju imaju u kreiranju politika, ali i u pružanju podrške pojedincima, obiteljima i zajednici., This paper focuses on the topic of smart decarceration. It presents certain features, policies, and practices that shaped the long period of mass incarceration in the United States of America. The central part of the paper presents the concept of smart decarceration, based on the work of the authors Epperson and Pettus-Davis (2015), who were the first to coin the said concept. The smart decarceration approach comes as a response to the era of mass incarceration, and the paper presents the goals and concepts that guide it and are relied on when (attempting) to transform the criminal justice system. Next, the paper shows the existing innovations in the criminal justice system. At the end of the paper, we talk about the importance of social workers, the necessary changes in their education and the role they play in creating policies, but also in providing support to individuals, families and the community.

43. Depresivnost, stres i neka rizična ponašanja studenata za vrijeme pandemije Covid-19

Cilj je ovog rada istražiti odnos između depresivnosti i stresa te nekih rizičnih ponašanja, odnosno upotrebe alkohola, marihuane i problematične upotrebe Interneta (problematic Internet use tj. PIU) tijekom pandemije Covid-19. Istraživanje je provedeno tijekom mjeseca srpnja 2022. godine, nad 115 studenata Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, ali su iz analize isključene tri studentice obzirom da pohađaju Sveučilište Libertas. Uzorak se stoga sastojao od 97 osoba ženskog spola, 13 osoba muškog te se dvoje ispitanika oko spomenutog obilježja nisu htjeli izjasniti. Anketni upitnik dijelio se putem poveznice na društvenoj mreži Facebook uz zamolbu da se isti proslijedi kolegama i prijateljima koji zadovoljavaju kriterije za ulazak u uzorak. Za analizu prikupljenih podataka korišten je statistički program IBM SPSS Statistics v20 u kojem se računao Pearsonov koeficijent korelacije. Utvrđeno je postojanje povezanosti između stresa i konzumacije alkohola, kao i između stresa i PIU. Povezanost između stresa i konzumacije marihuane nije utvrđena unatoč tome što u radu navedene teorije te prethodna istraživanja ukazuju na postojanje iste. Povezanosti između depresivnosti te konzumacije marihuane i alkohola također nisu utvrđene te autorica također navodi moguće uzroke izostanka istih. Rezultati istraživanja mogu poslužiti za prikaz situacije među studentima Sveučilišta u Zagrebu te eventualnoj usporedbi sa drugim zemljama, a isto tako, mogu se iskoristiti kao smjernice za buduća istraživanja te izradu programa prevencije., The aim of this study is to research the relationship between depression and stress and some risky behaviors, i.e. the use of alcohol, marijuana and problematic Internet use (PIU) during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was conducted during July of 2022 among 115 students of the University of Zagreb, while three female students were excluded from the analysis since they attend Libertas University. The final sample consisted of 97 female persons, 13 male persons, and two respondents whom did not want to comment on the mentioned characteristic. The survey questionnaire was shared via a link on the social network Facebook with a request to forward it to colleagues and friends who meet the criteria for entering the sample. The statistical program IBM SPSS Statistics v20 was used to analyze the collected data, in which the Pearson correlation coefficient was calculated. The existence of a connection between stress and alcohol consumption, as well as between stress and PIU was established. The connection between stress and marijuana consumption has not been established, despite the fact that the theories mentioned in the paper and previous research indicate its existence. Connections between depression and the consumption of marijuana and alcohol have also not been established, and the author cites possible causes of their absence. The results of the research can be used to show the situation among students of the University of Zagreb and possible comparison with other countries, and can also be used as guidelines for future research and the development of prevention programs.

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati odnos između stavova poslodavaca o osuđenicima i zapošljavanja. U prvom dijelu rada prikazana je teorijska podloga na kojoj se temelji istraživanje te prikaz dosadašnjih istraživanja. U drugom dijelu rada prikazani su rezultati provedenog istraživanja a koje je provedeno s poslodavcima na području Republike Hrvatske tijekom kolovoza 2022. godine. U istraživanju, koje je provedeno online upitnikom proslijeđenim putem e-mail adresa poslodavcima koji su u trenutku slanja upitnika imali objavljen oglas za posao na stranicama Hrvatskog zavoda za zapošljavanje, sudjelovalo je ukupno N=100 ispitanika. Proslijeđeni upitnik sadržavao je pitanja o sociodemografskim podacima, pitanja o djelatnosti koju poslodavci obavljaju, pitanja koja su ispitivala odnos poslodavaca prema zatvorenicima te validiranu skalu stavova prema zatvorenicima (A Scale to Measure Attitudes toward Prisoners, Melvin, K. B., Gramling, L. K., & Gardner, W. M., 1985.). Rezultati provedenog istraživanja potvrđuju da postoji statistički značajna povezanost između stavova poslodavaca prema osuđenicima i spremnosti poslodavaca na zapošljavanje bivših zatvorenika. Također, rezultati su pokazali da ne postoji razlika u spremnosti poslodavaca na zapošljavanje bivših zatvorenika s obzirom na završen stupanj obrazovanja i spol, ali je utvrđena razlika u spremnosti poslodavaca na zapošljavanje bivših zatvorenika s obzirom na kazneno djelo koje su počinili pri čemu su poslodavci u manjoj mjeri spremni zaposliti bivšeg zatvorenika ako je djelo koje je zatvorenik počinio povezano s djelatnosti koju poslodavac obavlja. Rezultati jasno pokazuju kako je zaposlenje po izlasku iz tretmana važan čimbenik u reintegraciji te da stavovi poslodavaca prema osuđenicima mogu biti velika prepreka u tom procesu. Stoga proizlazi da će upoznavanje društva, posebno poslodavaca, s izazovima s kojima se suočavaju zatvorenici nakon izlaska iz zatvora, kao i o važnosti zapošljavanja kao ključnog koraka u sprječavanju kriminalnog povrata, pospješiti zapošljavanje bivših zatvorenika te njihovu reintegraciju., The aim of this paper was to examine the relationship between employers' attitudes toward prisoners and their employment. First part of the paper presents the theoretical background that was used as a basis for this research along with the reviews of some of the previous research pieces. The second part of the paper presents the results of the research conducted with the employers in the Republic of Croatia during August 2022. A total of N=100 respondents took part in the research, that was conducted via an online questionnaire sent to the e-mail addresses of the employers who, at the time of sending the questionnaire, had a job advertisement published on the website of the Croatian Employment Service. The questionnaire contained questions about socio-demographic data, the type of business that employers perform, questions about the relationship of the employers and prisoners, and a valid scale of attitudes towards prisoners (A Scale to Measure Attitudes towards Prisoners, Melvin, K. B., Gramling, L. K., & Gardner, W.M., 1985). The results of the research confirmed that there is a statistically significant connection between employers' attitudes towards prisoners and their willingness to employ ex-convicts. What is more, the results showed that there is no difference in their willingness to employ ex-prisoners regarding the completed level of education and gender, but there was a difference with regards to the criminal offence they committed, with employers being less willing to employ a former prisoner if the crime committed was related to the type of the employer's business. The results clearly show that post-treatment employment is an important factor in reintegration and that employers' attitudes towards convicts can be a significant obstacle in this process. Hence, it can be noticed that familiarizing society, especially employers, with the challenges prisoners face after leaving prison, as well as the importance of employment as one of the key steps in preventing criminal recidivism, will encourage employment of ex-prisoners and their reintegration.

Cilj preglednog rada jest pružiti sistematičan pregled literature na temu problematične upotrebe interneta te ponuditi određene intervencije koje se mogu primjenjivati u području socijalnog rada. Zadnjih 25 godina govori se o novom fenomenu povezanim s upotrebom interneta. Razlog tome je što su internet i tehnologija postali dio čovjekova života i svakodnevnog funkcioniranja, a djeca su već od najranije dobi izložena ekranima. Međutim, postavlja se pitanje što kada zdrava upotreba interneta i tehnologije postane nefunkcionalna. Iako tada možemo govoriti o problematičnoj upotrebi interneta, kada takvo korištenje interneta u životu osobe izazove poteškoće u svakodnevnom funkcioniranju i počne utjecati na njegovu psihosocijalnu dobrobit, onda to prerasta u ovisnost o internetu. Različiti autori različito definiraju ovaj fenomen te različito smatraju koje su sve vrste ovisnosti o internetu, a postoji i nekoliko modela koji ga objašnjavaju, kao što su dualni model strasti, teorija kompenzacijske upotrebe interneta i kognitivno-bihevioralni model patološke upotrebe interneta. Mnogobrojni su rizični čimbenici za razvoj ovisnosti o internetu, a u prilog tome govori i prevalencija ovog problema. S obzirom na posljedice za psihosocijalnu dobrobit, neophodno je ponuditi primjerene tretmanske pristupe, a kao glavni se navode psihološki, farmakološki i kombinirani. Od iznimne važnosti je uloga stručnjaka u ovom području, a posebno se kao bitna ističe upravo uloga socijalnog rada kroz prevenciju, identifikaciju i intervenciju, pri čemu se naglasak stavlja na metodu savjetovanja u radu s osobama rizičnima za razvoj ove vrste ovisnosti ili onima ovisnima o internetu., The aim of the review paper is to provide a systematic review of the literature on the problematic use of the Internet and to offer certain interventions that can be applied in the field of social work. For the last 25 years, there has been talk of a new phenomenon related to the use of the Internet. The reason for this is that the Internet and technology have become part of human life and daily functioning, and children have been exposed to screens from an early age. However, the question arises as to what when healthy use of the Internet and technology becomes dysfunctional. Although then we can talk about the problematic use of the Internet, when such use of the Internet in a person's life causes difficulties in daily functioning and begins to affect his psychosocial well-being, then it grows into Internet addiction. Different authors define this phenomenon differently and consider different types of Internet addiction, and there are several models that explain it, such as the dual model of passion, the theory of compensatory Internet use and the cognitive-behavioral model of pathological Internet use. There are many risk factors for the development of Internet addiction, and the prevalence of this problem speaks in favor of this. Given the consequences for psychosocial well-being, it is necessary to offer appropriate treatment approaches, and the main ones are psychological, pharmacological and combined. The role of experts in this field is extremely important, and the role of social work through prevention, identification and intervention is particularly important, with emphasis on the method of counseling in working with people at risk for developing this type of addiction or those addicted to the Internet.

Korištenje interneta čini svakodnevicu učenika srednjih škola, a najviše vremena provode na društvenim mrežama. Na društvenim mrežama imaju otvorene profile koje koriste za komunikaciju s drugim osobama kao i za dijeljenje raznog sadržaja. Kako bi mogli ostali sigurni tijekom korištenja interneta moraju imati dovoljno znanja i vještina na koji način zaštititi svoje podatke i privatnost na internetu. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je dobiti uvid u doživljaj srednjoškolaca na području Splitsko-dalmatinske županije o korištenju interneta i društvenih mreža, posebice područja sigurnosti, privatnosti i komunikacije na internetu. U ovom kvalitativnom istraživanju sudjelovao je 21 učenik, a podaci su prikupljeni putem fokus grupa. Prvim istraživačkim pitanjem htjelo se doznati kako srednjoškolci opisuju komunikaciju u online okruženju. Sudionici su navodili s kojim se s sve izazovima susreću prilikom online komunikacije te su istaknuli kako im je teže prepoznati sarkazam, ironiju, humor te pravo značenje poslane poruke. Drugo istraživačko pitanje ispituje kako srednjoškolci opisuju sigurnost i privatnost na internetu te kako osiguravaju vlastitu sigurnost i privatnost na internetu. Dobiveni rezultati su pokazali kako se srednjoškolci smatraju sigurnim korisnicima interneta te da su svjesni svih rizika koje njegovo korištenje nosi. Svakako su upoznati s načinima kako se zaštititi u online okruženju i većina ih koristi. Trećim istraživačkim pitanjem ispituju su izazovi koje srednjoškolci prepoznaju prilikom ostvarivanja sigurnosti i privatnosti na internetu. Srednjoškolci su navodili kako se susreću s prijetnjama, vrijeđanjem, lažnim profilima, ali i da su svjesni digitalnog traga koji ostaje prilikom korištenja interneta., The use of the Internet makes up the everyday life of high school students, and they spend most of their time on social networks. They have open profiles on social networks that they use to communicate with other people as well as to share various content. In order to stay safe while using the Internet, they must have sufficient knowledge and skills on how to protect their data and privacy on the Internet. The aim of this thesis was to gain insight into the experience of high school students in the Split-Dalmatia County regarding the use of the Internet and social networks, especially in the areas of security, privacy and communication on the Internet. 21 students participated in this qualitative research, and the data was collected through focus groups. The first research question sought to find out how high school students describe communication in the online environment. The participants mentioned the challenges they face when communicating online and pointed out that it is more difficult for them to recognize sarcasm, irony, humor and the true meaning of the sent message. The second research question examines how high school students describe safety and privacy on the Internet and how they ensure their own safety and privacy on the Internet. The obtained results showed that high school students are considered safe Internet users and that they are aware of all the risks that its use entails. They are certainly familiar with ways to protect themselves in the online environment and most use them. The third research question examines the challenges that high school students recognize when achieving security and privacy on the Internet. High school students stated that they encounter threats, insults, fake profiles, but also that they are aware of the digital trail that is left when using the Internet.

Cilj istraživanja je dobiti uvid u mišljenje djece koja su u poludnevnom boravku i kod stručnjaka koji rade s njima o pozitivnim aspektima i doprinosima „online gaminga“ digitalnoj dobrobiti djece i mladih. Tijekom analize podataka dobili smo uvid u neke od prednosti i pozitivnih aspekata igranja video igara poput dodatnog učenja stranog jezika, korištenja interneta u edukativne svrhe, potencijalno terapijsko liječenje anksioznih osoba te oboljelih od ADHD-a uz pomoć video igri, poboljšava reflekse, pospješuje komunikaciju te utječe pozitivno na percepciju, olakšava upoznavanje s vršnjacima te potiče timski rad. Potrebno je iskoristiti puni potencijal „online gaminga“ u školstvu i obrazovanju jer nudi iznimno puno mogućnosti te će neki oblici postati svakodnevica svima nama., The goal of the research is to gain insight into the opinion of children who are in half-day care and the experts who work with them about the positive aspects and contributions of "online gaming" to the digital well-being of children and young people. During the data analysis, we got an insight into some of the advantages and positive aspects of playing video games, such as additional learning of a foreign language, using the Internet for educational purposes, potential therapeutic treatment of anxious people and ADHD patients with the help of video games, improving reflexes, improving communication and it has a positive effect on perception, facilitates meeting peers and encourages teamwork. It is necessary to use the full potential of "online gaming" in schools and education, because it offers an extremely large number of possibilities, and some forms will become regular for all of us.

48. Experiences of experts from a half-day care service on problematic gaming in children from the at-risk population

Za potrebe ovog istraživanja, ispitivali smo iskustva 10 stručnjaka iz poludnevnih boravaka o problematičnom gamingu koji su u radu s djecom iz rizične populacije. U ovom istraživanju odgovarali smo na 3 istraživačka pitanja vezana uz potencijalne rizike, negativne posljedice problematičnog gaminga, kao i preporuke stručnjaka za unaprjeđenje digitalne dobrobiti djece. Kao metoda prikupljanja podataka korištena je metoda fokus grupe čiji je protokol pitanja konstruiran za potrebe ovog istraživanja, a za analizu prikupljenih podataka korištena je tematska analiza. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da stručnjaci smatraju kako postoje rizici na razini obitelji, škole te ostali okolinski čimbenici rizika. Stručnjaci su kao negativne posljedice naveli pojavu znakova ovisnosti, posljedice na odnose i prisutnost nasilničkog ponašanja. Kao preporuke za unaprjeđenje digitalne dobrobiti istaknuli su važnost digitalnih kompetencija stručnjaka u radu s djecom, važnost provođenja aktivnosti s roditeljima kao i provođenja aktivnosti s ostalim stručnjacima u radu s djecom, primjerice odgajatelja u vrtiću, učitelja i profesora u školama., For the purposes of this research, we examined the experiences of 10 experts from who work with children from the at-risk population in half-day stay, on problematic of gaming in children. In this research, we answered 3 research questions related to the potential risks, negative consequences of problematic gaming, as well as the recommendations of experts for improving the digital well-being of children. The focus group method was the method used to collect data. Focus group consists of the question protocols which are made for the purposes of this research, and thematic analysis is used to analyze the collected data. The research results show that experts believe that there are risks at the family, school and other environmental risk factors. Experts cited that the negative signs are: signs of addiction, effects on relationships and the presence of violent behavior. As recommendations for improving digital well-being, they highlighted the importance of digital competences of experts who work with children, the importance of conducting activities with parents as well as conducting activities with other experts who work with children, for example kindergarten teachers, teachers and professors.

Seksualni delikti su tema koja izaziva veliko zanimanje društva te je često popraćena u medijima zbog čega ovaj rad analizira na koji način mediji utječu na formiranje stavova šire javnosti o seksualnim deliktima i njihovim počiniteljima. Za potrebe ovog rada provedena je analiza već postojećih znanstvenih istraživanja i radova koji su se bavili srodnim temama. Glavni cilj rada je omogućiti uvid u stavove društva prema počiniteljima seksualnih delikata, predstaviti najpoznatije mitove i stereotipe te im kritički pristupiti objašnjavajući ih znanstvenim i statističkim činjenicama. Počinitelji seksualnih delikata razlikuju se po svojm osobnim karakteristikama i razlozima počinjenja seksualnih delikata pa im je u svrhu rehabilitacije potrebno prilagoditi tretmane njihovim potrebama. Rehabilitacija je ističe kao ključni korak u pripremi počinitelja na ponovni povratak u društvo nakon odslužene kazne. Uspješna rehabilitacija i socijalna reintegracija smatraju se ključnim preduvjetima za smanjenje stope recidivizma. Međutim, društvo u kojem vladaju stereotipi i diskriminacija mogu otežati taj proces. Stoga je važno fokus staviti na educiranje javnosti o znanstveno utemeljenim činjenicama i zauzimanju kritičkog stava prema medijskim izvještavanjima., Sexual crimes are a topic that arouses great interest in society and is often covered in the media, which is why this paper analyzes how the media influences the formation of attitudes of the general public about sexual crimes and their perpetrators. For the purposes of this paper, an analysis of already existing scientific research and papers with related topics was carried out. The main goal of the paper is to provide an insight into society's attitudes towards perpetrators of sexual offenses, to present the most famous myths and stereotypes and to approach them critically, explaining them with scientific and statistical facts. Perpetrators of sexual offenses differ in their personal characteristics and reasons for committing sexual offenses, so for the purpose of rehabilitation, it is necessary to adapt the treatments to their needs. Rehabilitation is highlighted as a key step in preparing the offender to return to society after serving his sentence. Successful rehabilitation and social reintegration are considered as key prerequisites for reducing recidivism rates. However, a society in which stereotypes and discrimination rule can make this process difficult. Therefore, it is important to focus on educating the public about scientifically based facts and taking a critical attitude towards media reporting.

Područje udomiteljstva, a posebice odnos u udomiteljskim obiteljima u smislu pružanja socijalne podrške djeci je još nedovoljno istraženo područje. Nužno je krenuti u tom smjeru i preispitivati stanje unutar tog oblika izvanobiteljskog zbrinjavanja djece i dati neke konkretne smjernice. U radu je dat teorijski pregled onoga što trenutno možemo iščitati iz nekih radova stručnjaka, s nadom da će općenito udomiteljstvo porasti, a smanjiti se institucionalni oblik zbrinjavanja djece. Kako bi ono bilo kvalitetno, potrebno je da prvo stručnjaci, a među njima socijalni radnici, budu dovoljno educirani o tome kako treba pristupiti djetetu koje se izdvaja iz svoje primarne obitelji, na koje sve načine mu se može pružiti socijalnu podršku. Nadalje tu su udomitelji koji isto tako svoju ulogu ne mogu olakotno shvatiti nego moraju raditi na sebi, educirati se u pogledu tog da znaju na najbolji način komunicirati s djetetom kako bi se ono osjećalo sigurno i voljeno. A ono na čemu se sad radi je pokušaj rasterećivanja centara za socijalnu skrb na način da se osnivaju agencije, neprofitne udruge koje pružaju podršku udomiteljskim obiteljima kroz individualna i grupna savjetovanja, edukacije, te ostale aktivnosti. U cijelom procesu treba gledati i na participaciju djece, jer je i njihov glas važan., The area of foster care, especially within it, the relationship in foster families in the meaning of giving social support to children is still an insufficiently researched area. It is necessary to head in that direction, to rethink the condition inside that form of out-of-family care of children and to give some concrete guidelines. For now, in this paper is given the theoretical review of the things that we know from some of the papers from experts, as well as the hope that foster care will generally increase and institutional form of children care will decrease. To make it of good quality, it is crucial that firstly the experts, on the first front those are social workers, need to be educated enough about how to approach a child which stands out from its primary family, and in which ways can it be offered social support. Secondly, come foster parents who also can’t take their role lightly, instead they have to work on themselves, educate themselves in the meaning in which they now the best way to communicate with the child so that it can feel secure and loved. The participation of children in the whole process should be watched because their voice also matters. It is already being worked on the attempt to disburden centers for social care in the way that agencies are made, non-profitable associations which give support to foster families trough individual and group counselling, education and other activities.
