Objective To investigate the mediating role of professional psychological help-seeking attitudes between family parenting styles and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) among secondary school students. Methods A multistage stratified whole cluster sampling method was used to select 4 393 secondary school students from 12 secondary schools in 2 districts of Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, from October to December 2023, and a self-administered general information questionnaire, a Chinese version of the short-form parenting style questionnaire, a short-form scale of attitudes toward professional psychological support for help, and a Chinese adolescent NSSI rating questionnaire were used to conduct a survey of secondary school students. The survey was conducted. SPSS 27.0 was used for descriptive and correlation analyses, PROCESS 4.1 for mediation effect analysis, and Bootstrap method for validation. Results The detection rate of NSSI among secondary school students was 34.9%. Positive family upbringing style was positively correlated with professional psychological help-seeking attitude and negatively correlated with NSSI (r = 0.308, -0.191, P < 0.001); negative family upbringing style was negatively correlated with professional psychological help-seeking attitude and positively correlated with NSSI (r = -0.213, 0.310, P < 0.001); and professional psychological help-seeking attitude was negatively correlated with NSSI (r = -0.190, P < 0.001). Professional psychological help-seeking attitude played a partial mediating role between positive family parenting style, negative family parenting style and NSSI, and the mediating effect accounted for 28.76% and 8.87% of the total effect, respectively. Conclusion Professional psychological help-seeking attitude plays a mediating role between family parenting style and NSSI of secondary school students. Parents should adopt positive parenting styles and increase the motivation of secondary school students to seek professional psychological help, which can prevent and reduce the occurrence of NSSI. This study aimed to investigate the interaction between miR-1278 and Caldesmon (CALD1) in gastric cancer (GC) and the regulatory mechanism. In both GC cells and tissues, the levels of CALD1, miR-1278, migration-related markers (E-cadherin, N-cadherin, and Snail), and MAPK signaling pathway-related proteins were clarified using quantitative real-time PCR and western blotting analyses. The effects of miR-1278 and CALD1 on GC cell viability and migration were analyzed using CCK-8 and Transwell assays, respectively. The targeting effect of miR-1278 on CALD1 was investigated using bioinformatics prediction and a dual luciferase reporter assay. The effect of miR-1278 on tumor growth was estimated in vivo using a tumor xenograft assay. In GC, miR-1278 expression decreased, whereas CALD1 was highly expressed. Transfecting an miR-1278 mimic into cells inhibited the viability as well as migration of GC cells, and suppressed Ras, phosphorylated (p)-P38, and p-ERK1/2 protein levels. Moreover, miR-1278 targeted and negatively regulated CALD1 expression. CALD1 overexpression promoted GC cell survival and migration and activated the MAPK pathway. Treatment with an miR-1278 mimic partially rescued the changes caused by CALD1 overexpression. Overall, our study revealed that miR-1278 suppresses the malignant behavior of GC cells by targeting CALD1 and regulating the MAPK pathway.

Bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells (BMSCs) have positive therapeutic effects on inflammation associated diseases. However, the underlying mechanism is largely unknown. This study was conducted to investigate whether BMSCs could alleviate the inflammation reaction in lipopolysaccaride (LPS)-induced acute kidney injury (septic-AKI) of rats via inhibition of toll-like receptors (TLR4)-nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway. The septic-AKI rat model was established by injecting the 1ml/mg LPS through the femoral vein. Based on this model, rats were subjected to BMSC transplantation, PDTC (a kind of NF-κB inhibitor) administration alone, and combined treatment of the first two together. Results showed that LPS treatment caused the increases of the concentration of blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (SCr), accompanied by tissue injury and the up-regulation of TLR4 and NF-κB, that was its key downstream signaling molecule, in both mRNA and protein level. Notably, it has been found that BMSCs transplantation significantly reversed the already upregulated concentration of BUN and SCr, dramatically attenuated the event of the tissue injury, and prominently reduced mortality after AKI. These were paralleled by down-regulation of the level of TLR4 and NF-κB. These effects of BMSCs transplantation were similar to those of PDTC treatment. Importantly, the effects in the combination therapy of BMSCs transplantation and PDTC group were much stronger than those of either BMSCs or PDTC used alone. These findings suggest that BMSCs transplantation contributes to therapeutic effects in LPS-induced AKI rat model, and that the most obvious effects occurred in the combined treatment group, with BMSCs and PDTC together, which was tightly associated with inhibition of the TLR4-NF-κB signaling pathway., (© 2018 by the Association of Clinical Scientists, Inc.)

In the title compound, [Cu(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)NO(3)S)(2)]·2H(2)O, the Cu(II) atom lies on an inversion center and is hexa-coordinated by four N atoms from two 1,3-diamino-propane ligands and two O atoms from two 4-amino-benzene-sulfonate ligands in a trans arrangement, displaying a distorted and axially elongated octa-hedral coordination geometry, with the O atoms at the axial positions. A three-dimensional network is formed in the crystal structure through O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

An HPLC method was established for the determination of hesperidin and naringin in the Fructus Aurantii Immaturus and Fructus Aurantii from different places. Hesperidin and narigin were separated on a Hypersil ODS1 column with acetonitrile-0.5% acetic acid (volume ratio of 22:78) as the mobile phase and detected at 283 nm. The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. The column temperature was set at 35 degrees C. The calibration curves were linear in the ranges of 0.060 g/L-0.604 g/L and 0.0125 g/L-0.125 g/L for naringin and hesperidin respectively. The average recoveries were 97.1% for naringin and 95.3% for hesperidin. The method is simple, rapid, accurate and reliable.
