2. A P\'{o}sa-type condition of potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic sequences

Abstract

A non-increasing sequence $\pi=(d_1,\ldots,d_n)$ of nonnegative integers is said to be graphic if it is realizable by a simple graph $G$ on $n$ vertices. A graphic sequence $\pi=(d_1,\ldots,d_n)$ is said to be potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic if there is a realization of $\pi$ containing cycles of every length $r$, $3\le r\le \ell$. It is well-known that if the non-increasing degree sequence $(d_1,\ldots,d_\ell)$ of a graph $G$ on $\ell$ vertices satisfies the P\'{o}sa condition that $d_{\ell+1-i}\ge i+1$ for every $i$ with $1\le i<\frac{\ell}{2}$, then $G$ is either pancyclic or bipartite. In this paper, we obtain a P\'{o}sa-type condition of potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic sequences, that is, we prove that if $\ell\ge 5$ is an integer, $n\ge \ell$ and $\pi=(d_1,\ldots,d_n)$ is a graphic sequence with $d_{\ell+1-i}\ge i+1$ for every $i$ with $1\le i<\frac{\ell}{2}$, then $\pi$ is potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic. This result improves a Dirac-type condition of potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic sequences due to Yin et al. [Appl. Math. Comput., 353 (2019) 88--94], and asymptotically answers a problem due to Li et al. [Adv. Math., 33 (2004) 273--283]. As an application, this result also completely implies the value $\sigma(C_\ell,n)$ for $\ell\ge 5$ and $n\ge \ell$, improving the result of Lai [J. Combin. Math. Combin. Comput., 49 (2004) 57--64].

Abstract

The Nuri deposit is located at the south margin of the Gangdese metallogenic belt in Tibet. Its mineralization age revealed by Re-Os dating of molybdenite is 23 Ma, which is consistent with that of the Mingze and Chengba deposits. However, the ore-related rocks have not yet been identified. In this study, we report the age and geochemistry of the newly discovered quartz diorite related to mineralization. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating indicates that the diorite intruded at 93.42±0.76 Ma. The age is consistent with the ages of Shangbujiala(93 Ma) and Kelu(90 Ma) copper-gold deposits in the same metallogenic belt. These ages and previous ages indicate a two-stage ore-forming process. Major elemental analysis shows that quartz diorites contain 57.19%-58.23% SiO2, 15.78-16.03% A12O3, and 4.74%-5.32% MgO, with Mg# indicators of 65.2-67.3. Trace element composition suggests that these rocks are rich in large ion lithophile elements and light rare earth elements, but are poor in high field-strength elements, characteristic of adakite. This study indicates that quartz diorites are arc magmatic rocks formed in the stage of oceanic crust subduction. The primary magma formed by melting of oceanic crust intruded at the shallow crust, resulting in the formation of early skarn copper deposit. The identification of two stages of mineralization in the Nuri deposit expands the prospecting direction of the study area.

Abstract

Mg-rich monzodiorite are found in the Budongla gold ore district, Zhongba County, Xizang (Tibet) Autonomous Region, P.R. China. Studying the petrogenesis of this intermediate pluton can provide effective information to explore the geological evolution of the Lhasa terrane. One monzodiorite sample yielded a weighted mean 206Pb/238U age of 92.7 ± 1.1 Ma (mean square weighted deviation=0.33) using LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating, which represents the late phase of Late Cretaceous magmatism. The rock-forming minerals in the Budongla Mg-rich monzodiorite mainly include K-feldspar, plagioclase, quartz, biotite augite, and amphibole, and its accessory minerals mainly include magnetite, titanite, zircon, and apatite. The rocks are rich in K2O+Na2O and K2O with medium contents of SiO2, CaO, and A12O3,, suggesting these rocks belong to the high-K calc-alkaline series. These rocks have high MgO, Fe2O3, and FeO, with high Mg# values and low DI, which implies they are Mg-rich intermediate intrusive rocks. The rocks are enriched in LREEs and LILEs and depleted in HREEs and HFSEs. They have negative Eu anomalies, no obvious negative Ce anomalies, and slightly negative εHf(t). We infer that the Budongla pluton is a high-K calc-alkaline metaluminous Mg-rich monzodiorite and intruded during the post-collisional period of the Lhasa and Qiangtang terranes.

Abstract

Abstract A new nanocomposite fluorescence probe with thioglycolic acid (TA) functional layers embedded inside the hydroxyapatite nanoribbon spherulites has been synthesized. The fluorescence intensity of the novel probe is about 1.5–3.3-fold increase compared with the probe containing no TA. When used to detect cadmium ion, the most of original assembly nanoribbon spherulites structure in the novel probe is found to have been damaged to new flake structures. The mechanism of determining cadmium ion in alcohol solution has been studied. The present systematic study provides significant information on the effect of assembly nanostructure on the metal-enhanced fluorescence phenomenon.

Abstract

Currently, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been reported in almost all countries globally, and no effective therapy has been documented for COVID-19 and the role of convalescent plasma therapy is unknown. In current study, 6 COVID-19 subjects with respiratory failure received convalescent plasma at a median of 21.5 days after first detection of viral shedding, all tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 RNA by 3 days after infusion, and 5 died eventually. In conclusion, convalescent plasma treatment can discontinue SARS-CoV-2 shedding but cannot reduce mortality in critically end-stage COVID-19 patients, and treatment should be initiated earlier.

Abstract

The Cuonadong Dome in southern Tibet is a newly discovered gneiss dome in the Tethys Himalaya. Here, we investigate the Late Cambrian augen gneiss (orthogneiss) within the core of this dome to address the controversy surrounding early Palaeozoic tectonic evolution of the northern margin of eastern Gondwana. We report new zircon laser ablation multicollector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA‐(MC‐)ICP‐MS) U‐Pb ages, Lu‐Hf isotopes, whole‐rock major and trace element geochemistry, and Sr‐Nd‐Pb data on representative samples from the granitic gneiss. The weighted mean of 116 analyses of zircon grains yields an age of 498.2 ± 1.5 Ma (mean square weighted deviation [MSWD] = 1.2). Forty‐one spots analyses on these grains show consistent εHf (t) values of −2 to +4 (average = +1.1), corresponding to Hf crustal model age (TDM2) of 1.3 to 1.6 Ga (average = 1.39 Ga). The orthogneiss (metagranite) is characterized by high Si and K contents, with low Al, Mg, and Ti, and A/CNK values ranging from 0.87 to 0.98 with an average of 0.92, indicating a metaluminous composition and I‐type granitoid affinity. The granitoid displays significant enrichment in light rare earth elements (LREEs) and relatively flat high rare earth element (HREE) patterns, with strong negative Eu anomalies (Eu/Eu* = 0.26–0.31). The primitive mantle‐normalized trace elements show a relative enrichment in large‐ion lithophile elements, such as Rb, and high‐field strength elements, such as Th, U, Zr, and Hf, with depletion in Ba, Nb, Ta, Sr, P, and Ti. The rocks show high initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios (0.7221–0.7248) and low εNd (t) values (−8.9 to −7.3) with Nd model ages (TDM) of 1.79–1.91 Ga. Their radiogenic Pb isotopic compositions show (206Pb/204Pb)t = 18.804–19.110, (207Pb/204Pb)t = 15.730–15.768, and (208Pb/204Pb)t = 38.409–39.054, indicating an ancient upper middle continental crustal origin. Our study shows that the protolith of the metagranite was most likely derived from the partial melting of upper continental crust with a minor contribution of depleted mantle materials. Through integration of the regional information on early Palaeozoic magmatism and metamorphic events, we contend that the protolith of the Cuonadong granitic gneiss formed in an accretionary setting associated with the early Palaeozoic Proto‐Tethys Oceanic plate subduction beneath the Gondwana continent.
