This study analyzed the problems regarding talent training in public health colleges and universities in China by examining the gap between education demand and supply in these colleges and universities, thus to provide theoretical references for the formation of a public health personnel training system with Chinese characteristics in the context of Healthy China strategy. Relevant educational statistics were collected, questionnaires were distributed to 85 public health colleges, and in-depth interviews were conducted with principals of public health colleges, leaders of employers, leaders of administrative departments, and graduates of public health majors. Subject framework analysis was applied to explore the key factors that affect the effectiveness of talent training in colleges and universities. Although the education of public health colleges and universities in China has made certain achievements, problems including an insufficient supply of public health personnel and an unbalanced supply structure still exist. Therefore, we should incorporate the training of public health personnel into national strategic planning, increase the strategic investment in public health colleges and universities, and strengthen the integration of college, post-graduation, and continuing education. Moreover, we should promote the standardization of college education for public health, clarify the collaborative training approaches for public health personnel, explore training models for excellent public-health personnel, and strengthen the teaching staff construction in public health colleges and universities

With the improvement of China's energy demand and environmental protection awareness,the installed capacity of green energy represented by intermittent renewable energy such as wind power and photovoltaics is visible in the upward trend. Large-scale intermittent renewable energy consumption is affected by many factors such as power supply,grid and load. In order to improve the development and utilization rate of renewable energy,appropriate consumption assessment methods should be used to analyze the consumption situation. The analytical method reflects the essence of the intermittent renewable energy consumption problem. The mathematical model of the analytical method is clarified firstly,and the method is assessed in combination with the application of the analytical method. Then,the principle and application of the time series production simulation method and the probabilistic production simulation method are sorted out. These two methods are based on the principle of the analytical method,and they are respectively proposed for the insufficient consideration of the time series characteristics and probabilistic characteristics of intermittent renewable energy consumption during modeling. Although the application of these two methods still has their own limitations,compared with the analytical method,the solution accuracy of the two methods has been greatly improved. Finally,combined with the existing technology,the future research on the assessment method of intermittent renewable energy consumption is prospected,which provides a reference for the modeling,application and improvement of the assessment method.

The radiation hazards of five kinds of different solid metallic tailings collected from Shangluo, China were determined on the basis of natural radioactivity measurements using low background multichannel gamma ray spectrometry. The activity concentration of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K in the tailings ranged from 5.1 to 204.3, 3.8 to 28.5, and 289.6 to 762.3 Bq/kg, respectively. The radium equivalent activities and the external hazard indexes of all studied metallic tailings were below the internationally accepted value of 370 Bq/kg and unity, respectively. The internal hazard index of vanadium tailings exceeded unity, while the internal hazard indexes of other analyzed metallic tailings were less than unity. The indoor air absorbed dose rate values for all studied metallic tailings except lead-zinc tailings and gold tailings were higher than the world population-weighted average of 84 nGy/h and the annual effective dose values of all metallic tailings except for vanadium tailings were lower than 1 mSv. The study showed that vanadium tailings present a radiation hazard and their usage as building materials should be restricted.

Introduction: Staged bilateral surgery is widely used to treat synchronous multiple primary lung cancer (SMPLC); however, the prognostic factors for survival outcomes remain unclear. This study aimed to identify prognostic factors and construct a predictive model for overall survival (OS) and recurrence‐free survival (RFS) in patients with SMPLC who underwent staged bilateral surgery. Methods: The study included 256 patients diagnosed with SMPLC and treated with staged bilateral surgery at our hospital between January 2010 and July 2017. Multivariate Cox proportional‐hazard regression was used to identify prognostic factors for OS and RFS. Additionally, a predictive model was constructed using time‐dependent receiver operating characteristic curves. Results: Among the 256 patients, 10 (3.95%) succumbed to the disease and 24 (9.41%) experienced recurrence. Smoking (hazard ratio [HR]: 5.128; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.442–18.233; p = 0.012) and most advanced pathological TNM (pTNM) stage (II + III) (HR: 12.938; 95% CI: 2.650–63.176; p = 0.002) were identified as significant predictors of poor OS. A prognostic model was developed for predicting OS, with a 5‐year area under the curve (AUC) of 0.854. Furthermore, most advanced pTNM stage (II + III) was associated with poor RFS (HR: 5.964; 95% CI: 2.669–13.327; p < 0.001), and the predictive model exhibited a 5‐year AUC of 0.718 for RFS. Conclusion: This study revealed that smoking and most advanced pTNM stage were independent prognostic factors associated with poor OS in patients with bilateral SMPLC. Moreover, most advanced pTNM stage was also linked to unfavorable RFS. The developed predictive model demonstrated moderate prognostic performance for both OS and RFS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aiming at the problem of system controller performance failure caused by improperly setting the value of each weighting coefficient of the model predictive control (MPC), a fractional-order MPC strategy with Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy optimization (T–SFO MPC) is proposed for a vehicle active suspension system. Firstly, the fractional-order model predictive control framework for active suspension systems is designed based on a 1/4 vehicle model. Then, we analyze the influence of different weighting coefficients on the suspension performance and introduce the Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy optimization theory to adaptively adjust the weighting coefficients of the fractional-order MPC controller. Finally, the system responses of the T–SFO MPC, traditional MPC, linear quadratic regulator (LQR), and passive suspension control are numerically analyzed under various road conditions. Simulation results show that suspension response with the T–SFO MPC is significantly improved compared with passive suspension control, traditional MPC control, and LQR control, and the weight coefficients of the T–SFO MPC can be adaptively adjusted according to the dynamic changes of suspension response. Compared with passive suspension, the root mean square (RMS) value of the vertical acceleration of the T–SFO MPC under various roads decreased by a maximum of 37.97%, and the RMS value of suspension dynamic deflection and tire dynamic load decreased by a maximum of 32.94% and 37.8%, respectively. These results validate that the proposed control method can achieve coordinated optimization of vehicle comfort and handling stability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
