Abstract

The current deuteron beam polarimetry at Nuclotron is provided by the Internal Target polarimeter based on the use of the asymmetry in dp- elastic scattering at large angles in the cms at 270 MeV. The upgraded deuteron beam polarimeter has been used obtain the vector and tensor polarization during 2016/2017 runs for the DSS experimental program. Abstract

The vector Ay and tensor analyzing powers Ayy and Axx for dp- elastic scattering were measured at Td = 880 MeV over the c.m. angular range from 60 to 140 degrees at the JINR Nuclotron. The data are compared with predictions of different theoretical models based on the use of nucleon-nucleon forces only. Abstract

The investigation of the d, 3H and 3He spin structure has been performed at the RIKEN(Japan) accelerator research facility and VBLHEP(JINR) using both polarized and unpolarized deuteron beams. The experimental results on the analyzing powers studies in dp- elastic scattering, d(d,3H)p and d(d,3He)n reactions are presented. The vector and tensor analyzing powers for dp-elastic scattering at 880 and 2000 MeV are obtained at the Nuclotron(VBLHEP). The result on the analyzing powers Ay, Ayy of the deuteron at 2000 MeV are compared with relativistic multiple scattering model calculations. The data on the tensor analyzing powers for the d(d,3H)p and d(d,3He)n reactions obtained at Ed = 200 and 270 MeV demonstrate the sensitivity to the 3H, 3He and deuteron spin structure. The essential disagreements between the experimental results and the theoretical calculations within the one-nucleon exchange model framework are observed. Dp breakup reaction is investigated in the energy range 300-500 MeV at the Internal Target of the Nuclotron using unpolarized and polarized beams by DSS collaboration. The goal of the study is to obtain information about nucleon-nucleon correlations at short distances, non-nucleonic degrees of freedom and relativistic effects. A part of the breakup data at 300 MeV and 400 MeV has been obtained in kinematics where relativistic effects would have a significant contribution.

Abstract

Deuteron induced reactions at intermediate energies are investigated at Internal Target Station (ITS) of Nuclotron. The dp elastic scattering data have been accumulated in the angular range (70° - 120°) in c.m from 0.3 to 2.0 GeV of deuteron energy. Part of the obtained results of differential cross sections and analyzing powers of dp elastic scattering are compared with theoretical predictions based on relativistic multi-scattering model. The dp breakup data are obtained with the detection of two outgoing protons at the angles of (19° - 54°) in laboratory frame at the deuteron energies from 0.3 to 0.5 GeV in various detector configurations. One of the tools to study spin structure of short range correlations is the measurements of the cross section, tensor analyzing power T20 and spin correlation parameter Cy,y in the d3He → p(0°)4He reaction at the energies between 1.0 and 1.75 GeV using polarized 3He target and extracted polarized deuteron beam from new polarized ion source at Nuclotron. For this purposes the feasibility study has been performed. Proposed experiments on extracted deuteron beam of Nuclotron is aimed to investigate: non-nucleonic degrees of freedom and baryonic resonances properties in the d(A,d(0°))X and d(A,π-(0°))X reactions at different energies, non-nucleonic degrees of freedom via the measurements of the tensor Ayy and vector Ay analyzing powers in d(A,π-)X reaction and polarization properties of the baryonic resonances in the d(A,d)X reaction and others. First measurement of vector and tensor polarization of new polarized ion source has been performed in June-July of 2016y.

Abstract

There are still discrepancies between theory and experimental data in the polarisation observables of dp → ppn reaction in the low and intermediate energies, despite of significant process in the development of theoretical models which include three and more nucleon forces and relativistic effects. The data of dp → ppn reaction have been accumulated at 300, 400 and 500 MeV in the Nuclotron (Dubna, Russia) and partially processed for some kinematic configurations including few in which possible relativistic effects can appear. Kinematic simulation in the framework of ROOT and GEANT4 package have been performed before data processing. Part of the preliminary results are obtained in the form of energy deposit correlations of the two arms working in coincidence and few in the form of kinematic S curve.

Abstract

d p breakup reaction occupies large phase space. Two and three nucleon forces and relativistic effects can be investigated under various detector configuration. Abstract

The status and prospects of 2-nucleon and 3-nucleon short range correlations (SRCs) studies at Nuclotron-M (JINR) are presented. This program is focused on the investigations of the spin part of SRCs with polarized deuteron beam from new high intensity polarized deuterons ion source which is under development at JINR. The wide experimental program on the systematic studies of the polarization effects in dp- elastic scattering, dp- nonmesonic breakup, dd → 3Hen(3Hp) and d3He → p4He reactions sensitive to SRCs using both internal and extracted beam at Nuclotron-M is presented.

Abstract

dp breakup reaction occupies large phase space. Two and three nucleon forces and relativistic effects can be investigated under various detector configuration. The results of simulation of dp breakup reaction in energy region from 300 to 500 MeV are presented. Preliminary results obtained at 300, 400 and 500 MeV of deuteron energy at some detector configurations at Nuclotron as well as future plans in investigation of relativistic effects are discussed. Abstract

The results on the cross-section of dp-elastic scattering reaction obtained at 880 MeV at internal target of Nuclotron are presented.
