Antibiotics targeting C. acnes have been the mainstay in AV treatment. Meanwhile, C. acnes has developed resistance to numerous antibiotics. IDDS, as traditional Chinese medicine, exhibits potent antibacterial activity against C. acnes. However, the mechanism of IDDS against C. acnes remains unclear.Methods: In this study, we conducted a systematic investigation in vitro to determine the minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) and time-kill curves. The MBC and time-kill curves were assessed by quantifying Colony Forming Units countsIn order to establish an in vivo rat ear model of acne, a single intradermal injection of 100μL C. acnes suspension was administered, and oleic acid was applied to the right ear pinna for a duration of 14 days. The intervention involved the utilization of IDDS medications. Additionally, the levels of inflammatory mediators tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and interleukin-10 (IL-10) were assessed using respective ELISA kits, while Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining was employed to visualize the rat ear model. The antimicrobial mechanism was investigated through the analysis of mRNA levels using real-time, quantitative PCR. ELISA analysis was performed according to the protocols outlined for energy metabolism and antioxidant system.Results: Our research has demonstrated that IDDS possesses antibacterial activity against C. acnes both in vitro and in vivo. The mechanisms underlying these effects involve energy metabolism and antioxidant systems.Conclusion: The data has provided further insights into the mechanism of IDDS against C. acnes, which establishes a robust foundation for the clinical application of IDDS.Keywords: acne vulgaris, cutibacterium acnes, IDDS, antibacterial mechanisms

Interventions often fail to take patients’ perceptions of self-management into account from their perspective. Exploring the needs preferences and the influencing factors of self-management in patients can improve the effectiveness of self-management.Methods: This study used a mixed research approach, exploring patient needs and preferences through web crawl methods and using qualitative interviews to explore the logic of preferences. 1605 data were obtained from 4 online health communities through web crawlers. Data were coded using grounded theory to analyze self-management needs. The codes were also coded for frequency statistics and ranked to explain the self-management preferences. The second phase explained the logic of the ranked distribution of preferences through one-on-one interviews with 22 patients.Results: This study summarized six self-management needs of people with diabetes through web crawler data, among which medication management and conflict between disease and daily life were the most important concerns of patients. The reasons why patients are particularly concerned about these two needs were explored through qualitative interviews, and it was found that patients’ concerns about medication were mainly due to the following three aspects: the effect of drugs is direct and obvious, medication use makes life less complicated, and progressive side effects. The patients’ concerns about the conflict between disease and daily life are often caused by the following three aspects: diabetes impacts social roles, disease complicates life, and reducing the impact of the disease on life.Conclusion: The self-management needs of Chinese diabetics have six themes. Medication management, conflict between disease and daily life, diet, diabetes knowledge, blood glucose monitoring and exerciseIn order of frequency of mention and possible preference: medication management, conflict between disease and daily life were the most frequent needs, while diet, knowledge about diabetes, blood glucose monitoring and exercise were their least frequent needs.Understanding the individual’s perception and understanding of diabetes self-management and the expression of the patient’s daily life situations can guide the medical team to optimize collaboration on personalized care plans.Keywords: type 2 diabetes, self-management, needs, preferences, person-centered care, patients’ experience

Nevertheless, the molecular mechanism behind the anti-tumor role of Cela in non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) remains to be clarified.Methods: Flow cytometry was used to analyze cell cycle progression and apoptosis. Colony formation assay and 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay were used to analyze cell proliferation. Cell migration and invasion abilities were assessed by transwell assays. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was implemented for the detection of RNA levels. Western blot assay was used for the determination of protein levels. Dual-luciferase reporter assay was conducted to confirm the interaction between microRNA-33a-5p (miR-33a-5p) and circular RNA SATB homeobox 2 (circ_SATB2) or E2F transcription factor 7 (E2F7). Xenograft tumor assay was conducted to test the roles of Cela and circ_SATB2 in NSCLC progression in vivo.Results: Cela hampered the malignant behaviors of NSCLC cells. Cela down-regulated circ_SATB2 level in NSCLC cells. Cela stimulation-induced suppressive influence in NSCLC progression was alleviated by circ_SATB2 accumulation. E2F7 interference overturned circ_SATB2-mediated effects in Cela-stimulated NSCLC cells. MiR-33a-5p was a target of circ_SATB2, and E2F7 was verified as a target of miR-33a-5p. Circ_SATB2 attenuated Cela-mediated effects through targeting miR-33a-5p in NSCLC cells. Cela-mediated suppressive effect on tumor growth was partly attenuated by the overexpression of circ_SATB2 in vivo.Conclusion: Cela suppressed NSCLC development through regulating circ_SATB2/miR-33a-5p/E2F7 signaling cascade.Keywords: NSCLC, celastrol, circ_SATB2, miR-33a-5p, E2F7

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a special type of breast cancer with high invasion and metastasis. CXCL12 and its receptors CXCR4 and CXCR7 play a crucial role in the progress of breast cancer. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of CXCR4 and CXCR7 on the function of TNBC. Materials and methods: We used the CRISPR/Cas9 technique to carry out a single knockout of the CXCR4 or CXCR7 gene and co-knockout of CXCR4 and CXCR7 genes in the TNBC cell line (MDA-MB-231). The single knockout and co-knockout cells were screened and verified by PCR sequencing and Western blot assay, the effect of single knockout and co-knockout on the proliferation of TNBC cells was examined using the Cell Counting Kit-8 and colony formation assays, the migration and invasion of TNBC cells were examined by the transwell and wound-healing assays, the changes in the cell cycle distribution after knockout were detected by flow cytometry, and the difference in the migration and invasion of single knockout and co-knockout induced by CXCL12 was observed by adding CXCL12 in the experimental group. Results: The single knockout of the CXCR4 or CXCR7 gene significantly reduced the cell proliferation, growth, migration, and invasion and delayed the conversion of the G1/S cycle, while the co-knockout inhibited these biological abilities more significantly. In both the knockout and control groups, the migration and invasion of CXCL12-added cells were significantly stronger than those of the non-CXCL12-added cells, and CXCL12 induced lesser migration and invasion in the CXCR4 and CXCR7 co-knockout group than in the single knockout groups. Conclusion: The knockout of the CXCR4 and CXCR7 genes affects the binding capacity and functions of CXCL12, inhibits the malignant progression of TNBC cells significantly, and may become a potential target for the treatment of TNBC. BackgroundOverexpression of the voltage-gated calcium channel (VGCC) alpha-2-delta1 subunit protein (Cav α2 δ1 ) has been shown to cause pain states. However, whether VGCC are involved in pain states driven by abnormal Cav α2 δ1 expression is not known.MethodsIntrathecal injection of N-, P/Q- and L-type VGCC blockers were tested in two models: a transgenic neuronal Cav α2 δ1 overexpression (TG) model with behavioural hypersensitivity and a spinal nerve ligation (SNL) model with Cav α2 δ1 overexpression in sensory pathways and neuropathy pain states.ResultsThe nociceptive response to mechanical stimuli was significantly attenuated in both models with ω-conotoxin GVIA (an N-type VGCC blocker) and nifedipine (an L-type VGCC blocker), in which ω-conotoxin GVIA appeared more potent than nifedipine. Treatments with ω-agatoxin IVA (P-VGCC blocker), but not ω-conotoxin MVIIC (Q-VGCC blocker) had similar potency in the TG model as the N-type VGCC blocker, while both ω-agatoxin IVA and ω-conotoxin MVIIC had minimal effects in the SNL model compared with controls.ConclusionThese findings suggest that, at the spinal level, N- and L-type VGCC are likely involved in behavioural hypersensitivity states driven by Cav α2 δ1 overexpression. Q-type VGCC has minimal effects in both models. The anti-nociceptive effects of P-type VGCC blocker in the Cav α2 δ1 TG mice, but minimally at the SNL model with presynaptic Cav α2 δ1 up-regulation, suggest that its potential action site(s) is at the post-synaptic and/or supraspinal level. These findings support that N-, L- and P/Q-type VGCC have differential contributions to behavioural hypersensitivity modulated by Cav α2 δ1 dysregulation at the spinal cord level.

This paper analyzes the ethnic traditional sports culture regarding three characteristics: sport, ethnicity, and tradition. Secondly, it examines the state of development of ethnic traditional sports and provides a direction for their development. Then, it is to select the variables, set them, and construct the optimization model for developing ethnic traditional sports based on optimization theory. Finally, the factors that influence the development of ethnic traditional sports are analyzed through empirical evidence. The results show that 75.8% of the residents in T city area think that the three dimensions of historical elements, cultural elements and communication methods have the most influence on the development of traditional ethnic sports, and 145 residents think that social factors have the least influence on the development of ethnic traditional sports.

This paper establishes a platform interaction model in the context of Internet+ to enhance the motivation of college students to take the initiative to receive employment and entrepreneurship guidance and training. A psychological intervention model regarding hope, optimism, self-efficacy, and resilience is constructed. A new method of fuzzy number ordering determined by the limit coefficient can be obtained by defining the limit coefficient of triangular fuzzy numbers. Hierarchical analysis was used to analyze the employment choice dilemma faced by fresh university graduates and to guide them in making the correct employment choices. The results show that the total mean score of positive psychological capital is 119.99, which indicates that the level of positive psychological capital among college students is high. Employers are very satisfied with the graduates’ operational application ability, which reaches 35%.

Abstract Morchella esculenta is an edible fungus with a uniquely delicious flavor and remarkable benefits for health. Herein, the molecular mechanism underlying the anti-inflammatory effects of Morchella esculenta was elucidated using molecular docking and network pharmacology. NPASS, Super-pred, SEA, Swiss Target Prediction, GeneCards, DisGeNET, Omim database, and STRING platform were used to select anti-inflammatory targets and construct target protein interaction networks using the active ingredients of Morchella esculenta. The OmicShare cloud platform was used to analyze GO functions and KEGG pathways related to the target, and the AutoDock Vina software was used to perform molecular docking and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation on the main target. Based on Cytoscape’s “Network Analysis”, the degree was used to identify potential key targets, and different inflammatory transcriptome data sets were used to evaluate core targets showing clinical significance. The active ingredient of Morchella esculenta identified from the NPASS database was EOYA, which had 43 anti-inflammatory targets, including NR1I2, PTGS1, PTGS2, CYP4F2, CYP3A4, TLR4, MAPK1, PLA2G4A, and PTPN11, and was mainly implicated in arachidonic acid metabolism, vascular endothelial growth factor signal pathway, and sphingomyelin signal transduction pathway, indicating that the anti-inflammatory effects of EOYA were mainly related to these biological processes. The degree was used to select 9 potential effective targets, namely NR1I2, PTGS1, PTGS2, CYP4F2, CYP3A4, TLR4, MAPK1, PLA2G4A, and PTPN11, among which NR1I2, PTGS1, PTGS2, PLA2G4A, MAPK1, CYP3A4, and TLR4 showed clinical significance. Molecular docking results showed that (E)-Octadec-11-En-9-Ynoic Acid (EOYA) could spontaneously bind to the 9 core targets, and the binding fractions of NR1I2, PTGS1, PTGS2, CYP4F2, and CYP3A4 were the highest. The MD simulation results showed that EYOA did indeed bind well NR1I2 to PTGS2, and the complex has high stability. Morchella esculenta can regulate the activity of prostaglandin endoperoxide synthetase, and affect the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, thereby impacting the metabolic pathway of arachidonic acid.

Plantar pressure is the main mechanical parameter to understand human lower limb movement, which can fully show the health status of human spine, foot, leg and other regions.At present, researchers have carried out empirical analysis on the rehabilitation training process of lower limbs, but due to the defects of guidance methods and too vague evaluation indicators, it is impossible to conduct comprehensive monitoring and feedback on the rehabilitation process of patients. Therefore, on the basis of the modeling method based on the understanding of skeletal muscle set, the rest of the lower limbs dyskinesia patients rehabilitation training, puts forward the plantar pressure changes as the core of human lower limb rehabilitation training monitoring and feedback methods, at the same time using autoregressive model to construct the algorithm model of lower limb exoskeleton, updating method of the weighted coefficient of contrast research. The final results show that the least mean square error (LMS) algorithm can provide effective driving force for the rehabilitation training model of lower extremity exoskeleton disease, and feedback evaluation of the whole rehabilitation training process

Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC) are still one of the most common malignant tumors in China, with a high metastasis rate and poor prognosis. The tumor immune microenvironment can affect the occurrence, development and prognosis of tumors, but the underlying mechanism is still unclear. In this study, we tried to describe the correlation between the recurrence of HNSCC and the tumor microenvironment (TME). The expression data [estimate the level of tumor stromal and immune infiltration, expression data (ESTIMATE)] algorithm was used to identify and estimate highly correlated stromal cells, immune cells, and prognostic scores in 116 samples of head and neck cancer patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset. The functional enrichment analysis and protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks of differential expressed genes (DEGs) were constructed. Subsequently, the abundance of various infiltrating immune cells was estimated with the tumor immune estimation resource (TIMER) and the infiltration pattern of immune cells were explored in HNSCC. A total of 407 immune-related genes were identified to involve in the TME. We found that CCR5, CD3E, CD4, and HLA -DRB1 were the most obvious DEGs and the dendritic cells (DCs) showed the highest abundance in the TME of HNSCC. In addition, the unsupervised cluster analysis determined 10 clusters of immune infiltration patterns, and indicated that immune infiltrated CD4 + T and B cells may be related to the prognosis of HNSCC. In conclusion, our research determined the list of immune genes and immune infiltrating cells related to the prognosis of HNSCC, and provided a perspective for HNSCC evolution, anti-tumor drugs selection, and drug resistance research.

Based on the second generation Artificial Intelligence Learning System(TensorFlow), this paper constructs a neural network to detect smoke images, and uses an improved motion detection algorithm to intercept the image of suspected smoke area. Combining with the PCA dimensionality reduction algorithm，the Inception Resnet V2 network model is trained to recognize the smoke characteristics under the TensorFlow platform. The algorithm realizes a large range of real-time fire detection alarm, and through experiments, it is proved that the whole detection process accurately identifies the smoke region in the video stream, which is more accurate and adaptive than the traditional smoke recognition method, and provides an effective scheme for the large range of fire smoke alarms.

Cultivated fields and forests in South China are experiencing serious damage due to invasive alien plants. We investigated the relation between DNA C-values and invasiveness. The DNA C-values of 23 species ranged from 0.39 pg to 3.37 pg. Herbs, perennials and native species had higher mean DNA C-values than shrubs, annuals and invasive alien species. DNA C-values decreased with increasing invasiveness. Paederia scandens, a harmful native species, has the lowest DNA C-value among the perennials, indicating that native species with low nuclear content may also possess an invasive potential.

In order to make up for the deficiency of the lack of the location interaction between users of most LBS based applications in the market, a multi-user location sharing method(MULS) is proposed. Starting from the applications such as ordering food in different places and collective travel, it shows that this method can provide the location interaction between users and improve the location service function of the application. Secondly, the feasibility of the method is illustrated by introducing the principle of MULS. Finally, on the IOS operating system, this method is gradually implemented from several aspects of location acquisition, sharing strategy, data exchange, and overall framework. Conclusions: The MULS method can be implemented on the basis of existing applications. This method can effectively provide the location sharing among users, so that it is possible to achieve the query and positioning of the real-time location of multiple people among team users, team collection progress, the location of non returned team members, so as to let LBS application bring greater convenience to people’s life.

Carbon sequestration is vital to maintaining carbon neutrality and mitigating climate change's impact on humans and the environment. As the government's role in eco-advocacy is primarily designed to safeguard the environment, this paper discusses the impact of government environmental regulations on carbon sequestration. By analyzing 286 cities from 2000 to 2019 in China, we propose that government environmental regulation can lead to a 0.77% increase in carbon sequestration. Additionally, industrial agglomeration and industrial structure advancement are regarded as viable channels. Sulfate transporters (SULTRs) are essential for the transport and absorption of sulfate in plants and serve as critical transport proteins within the sulfur metabolism pathway, significantly influencing plant growth, development, and stress adaptation. A bioinformatics analysis of SULTR genes in soybean was performed, resulting in the identification and classification of twenty-eight putative GmSULTRs into four distinct groups. In this study, the characteristics of the 28 GmSULTR genes, including those involved in collinearity, gene structure, protein motifs, cis -elements, tissue expression patterns, and the response to abiotic stress and plant hormone treatments, were systematically analyzed. This study focused on conducting a preliminary functional analysis of the GmSULTR3;1a gene, wherein a high expression level of GmSULTR3;1a in the roots, stems, and leaves was induced by a sulfur deficiency and GmSULTR3;1a improved the salt tolerance. A further functional characterization revealed that GmSULTR3;1a- overexpressing soybean hairy roots had higher SO 4 2- , GSH, and methionine (Met) contents compared with the wild-type (WT) plant. These results demonstrate that the overexpression of GmSULTR3;1a may promote the sulfur assimilation metabolism and increase the content of sulfur-containing amino acids in plants.

Background: By 2020, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a prevalent respiratory disorder, had affected 26.6-43.2% of males and 8.7-27.8% of females worldwide. OSA is associated with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and tumor progression; however, the precise underlying pathways remain elusive. This study aims to identify genetic markers and molecular mechanisms of OSA to improve understanding and treatment strategies., Methods: The GSE135917 dataset related to OSA was obtained from the GEO database. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were subsequently identified. Weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) was conducted to pinpoint disease-associated genes. The intersection of these data enabled the identification of potential diagnostic DEGs. Further analyses included Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment studies, exploration of protein-protein interactions based on these genes, and an examination of immune infiltration. Mendelian randomization was employed to validate core genes against the Genome-Wide Association Study database., Results: A total of 194 DEGs were identified in this study. WGCNA network analysis highlighted 2,502 DEGs associated with OSA. By intersecting these datasets, 53 diagnostic DEGs primarily involved in metabolic pathways were identified. Significant alterations were observed in immune cell populations, including memory B cells, plasma cells, naive CD4 T cells, M0 macrophages, and activated dendritic cells. CETN3, EEF1E1, PMM2, GTF2A2, and RRM2 emerged as hub genes implicated in the pathogenesis. A line graph model provides diagnostic insights. Mendelian randomization analysis confirmed a causal link between CETN3 and GTF2A2 with OSA., Conclusion: Through WGCNA, this analysis uncovered significant genetic foundations of OSA, identifying 2,502 DEGs and 194 genes associated with the disorder. Given the increasing threat of economic downturns and global warming, the governments of developing countries urgently need effective measures that can both stimulate economic development and promote low-carbon transitions. As a widely accepted method for stimulating economic growth, the improvement of the business environment and its effect on economic activity have been fully discussed. However, little is known about whether and how the business environment affects the low-carbon transition. By leveraging city-level data from China, this paper exploits whether and through which channels a favorable business environment promotes a low-carbon transition. We find that improving the business environment has a positive impact on carbon efficiency. This relationship is verified to be robust through various alternative tests. Additionally, it is demonstrated that enhancing the business environment can increase carbon efficiency by promoting green technology progress and stimulating new firm entry. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that the positive effect of the business environment is pronounced for cities with intensive environmental regulation, sufficient environmentally targeted fiscal expenditure, and loose economic growth requirements. The longevity protein sirtuins (SIRTs) belong to a family of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD + )-dependent deacetylases. In mammals, SIRTs comprise seven members (SIRT1-7) which are localized to different subcellular compartments. As the most prominent mitochondrial deacetylases, SIRT3 is known to be regulated by various mechanisms and participate in virtually all aspects of mitochondrial homeostasis and metabolism, exerting significant impact on multiple organs. Notably, the kidneys possess an abundance of mitochondria that provide substantial energy for filtration and reabsorption. A growing body of evidence now supports the involvement of SIRT3 in several renal diseases, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and diabetic nephropathy; notably, these diseases are all associated with aging. In this review, we summarize the emerging role of SIRT3 in renal diseases and aging, and highlights the intricate mechanisms by which SIRT3 exerts its effects. Aging is associated with an increased risk of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (IRI). With an increasing prevalence of cardiovascular diseases such as coronary arteriosclerosis in older people, there has been increasing interest in understanding the mechanisms of myocardial IRI to develop therapeutics that can attenuate its damaging effects. Previous studies identified that abnormal mitochondria, involved in cellar senescence and oxidative stress, are the master subcellular organelle that induces IRI. In addition, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress is also associated with IRI. Cellular adaptation to ER stress is achieved by the activation of ER molecular chaperones and folding enzymes, which provide an important link between ER stress and oxidative stress gene programs. In this review, we outline how these ER stress-related molecules affect myocardial IRI via the crosstalk of ER stress and mitochondrial homeostasis and discuss how these may offer promising novel therapeutic targets and strategies against age-related cardiovascular diseases., (© 2024. In response to biotic and abiotic stresses, the WRKY gene family plays a crucial role in plant growth and development. This study focused on Phoebe bournei and involved genome-wide identification of WRKY gene family members, clarification of their molecular evolutionary characteristics, and comprehensive mapping of their expression profiles under diverse abiotic stress conditions. A total of 60 WRKY gene family members were identified, and their phylogenetic classification revealed three distinct groups. A conserved motif analysis underscored the significant conservation of motif 1 and motif 2 among the majority of PbWRKY proteins, with proteins within the same class sharing analogous gene structures. Furthermore, an examination of cis-acting elements and protein interaction networks revealed several genes implicated in abiotic stress responses in P. bournei . Transcriptomic data were utilized to analyze the expression patterns of WRKY family members under drought and waterlogged conditions, with subsequent validation by quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) experiments. Notably, PbWRKY55 exhibited significant expression modulation under drought stress; PbWRKY36 responded prominently to waterlogging stress; and PbWRKY18 , PbWRKY38 , and PbWRKY57 demonstrated altered expression under both drought and waterlogging stresses. This study revealed the PbWRKY candidate genes that potentially play a pivotal role in enhancing abiotic stress resilience in P. bournei . The findings have provided valuable insights and knowledge that can guide further research aimed at understanding and addressing the impacts of abiotic stress within this species.

Grain yield is determined mainly by grain number and grain weight. In this study, we identified and characterized MORE GRAINS1 (MOG1), a gene associated with grain number and grain weight in rice (Oryza sativa L.), through map-based cloning. Overexpression of MOG1 increased grain yield by 18.6%-22.3% under field conditions. We determined that MOG1, a bHLH transcription factor, interacts with OsbHLH107 and directly activates the expression of LONELY GUY (LOG), which encodes a cytokinin-activating enzyme and the cell expansion gene EXPANSIN-LIKE1 (EXPLA1), positively regulating grain number per panicle and grain weight. Natural variations in the promoter and coding regions of MOG1 between Hap-LNW and Hap-HNW alleles resulted in changes in MOG1 expression level and transcriptional activation, leading to functional differences. Haplotype analysis revealed that Hap-HNW, which results in a greater number and heavier grains, has undergone strong selection but has been poorly utilized in modern lowland rice breeding. In summary, the MOG1-OsbHLH107 complex activates LOG and EXPLA1 expression to promote cell expansion and division of young panicles through the cytokinin pathway, thereby increasing grain number and grain weight. Colorectal cancer is one of the top contributors to cancer-related deaths in the United States, with over 100,000 estimated cases in 2020 and over 50,000 deaths. The most common screening technique is minimally invasive colonoscopy using either reflected white light endoscopy or narrow-band imaging. However, current imaging modalities have only moderate sensitivity and specificity for lesion detection. We have developed a novel fluorescence excitation-scanning hyperspectral imaging (HSI) approach to sample image and spectroscopic data simultaneously on microscope and endoscope platforms for enhanced diagnostic potential. Unfortunately, fluorescence excitation-scanning HSI datasets pose major challenges for data processing, interpretability, and classification due to their high dimensionality. Here, we present an end-to-end scalable Artificial Intelligence (AI) framework built for classification of excitation-scanning HSI microscopy data that provides accurate image classification and interpretability of the AI decision-making process. The developed AI framework is able to perform real-time HSI classification with different speed/classification performance trade-offs by tailoring the dimensionality of the dataset, supporting different dimensions of deep learning models, and varying the architecture of deep learning models. We have also incorporated tools to visualize the exact location of the lesion detected by the AI decision-making process and to provide heatmap-based pixel-by-pixel interpretability. In addition, our deep learning framework provides wavelength-dependent impact as a heatmap, which allows visualization of the contributions of HSI wavelength bands during the AI decision-making process. The effects of austenitizing and austempering temperatures on the bainite transformation kinetics and the microstructural and mechanical properties of a medium-carbon high-silicon ultra-fine bainitic steel were investigated via dilatometric measurements, microstructural characterization and mechanical tests. It is demonstrated that the optimum austenitizing temperature exists for 0.3 wt.%C ultra-fine bainitic steel. Although the finer austenite grain at 950 °C provides more bainite nuclei site and form finer bainitic ferrite plates, the lower dislocation density in plates and the higher volume fraction of the retained austenite reduces the strength and impact toughness of ultra-fine steel. When the austenitizing temperature exceeds 1000 °C, the true thickness of bainitic ferrite plates and the volume fraction of blocky retained austenite in the bainite microstructure increase significantly with the increases in austenitizing temperature, which do harm to the plasticity and impact toughness. The effect of austempering temperature on the transformation behavior and microstructural morphology of ultra-fine bainite is greater than that of austenitizing temperature. The prior martensite, formed when the austempering temperature below M s, can refine the bainitic ferrite plates and improve the strength and impact toughness. However, the presence of prior martensite divides the untransformed austenite and inhibits the growth of bainite sheaves, thus prolonging the finishing time of bainite transformation. In addition, prior martensite also strengthens the stability of untransformed austenite though carbon partition and enhances the volume fraction of blocky retained austenite, which reduces the plasticity of ultra-fine bainitic steel. According to the experimental results, the optimum austempering process for 0.3 wt. %C ultra-fine bainitic steel is through austenitization at 1000 °C and austempering at 340 °C.
