Bilimsel bilginin kademe kademe yükselebileceği gereğinden hareketle tasarlanan bu çalışmanın bilim insanlarına, psikolojik performans danışmanlarına, sporun yöneticilerine, antrenörlere, sporculara ve yeni araştırmacılara ışık tutacağı ve alan yazında önemli bir boşluğu doldurarak literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir., In this study, an experimental research model with pretest-posttest control group was applied in order to determine the effect of the creative drama program on the conformity, communication and confidence levels of elite female volleyball players. Three different scales were used in the study. These ; Communication Competence Scale (Wiemann, 1977; Koca and Erigüç 2017), Sources of Self-Confidence in Sports (Walley et al., 1988; Miçoğulları and Kirazcı, 2010), Team Collaboration Inventory (Carron et al., 1985; Forgetz , Kiremitçi and Gencer, 2011) ) . Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient Confidence in Sports Resources of the scale, the first team calculated Cronbach's alpha coefficient is 0.864, both calculated on the team, nc Cronbach Alpha coefficient value is 0.955, Cronbach Alpha coefficient value calculated in the third team is 0.939. Scale level, of communication resource Cronbach 's alpha coefficient value is first set in the calculation of Cronbach's alpha coefficient is 0.793, as calculated in the second team Cronbach's alpha coefficient is 0.858, as calculated in the third set Cronbach The alpha coefficient value is 0.685. The analysis of the data was carried out in a package program named SPSS 26 .0 . In the analysis of the data , descriptive statistics were made within and between groups. Considering these findings, it was observed that the groups were distributed parametrically . Kula been experimenting with scales and preliminary tests we & test control group was made a comparative analysis between the pre & post-test, ANOVA, this analysis' is used. Post Hoc Tukey test was used if there were significant results between them as a result of this analysis . Multiple Regression analysis was used in the research to see the level of functional relationship. Linear relationships were found between these variables. Pearson Corelation test was used to see the correlation coefficient between each variable . This research was conducted with 30 elite female volleyball players from the Küçükçekmece volleyball club, in the 2020-2021 Turkish professional volleyball league. All of the experimental group are secondary school graduates. The control group , a graduate degree is 13.3% . The average age in the 30-person athlete group is 15 , the experimental group is at least 13, at most 17, and the control group is at least 13 and at most 26 years old. According to the findings, the effect of the 8-session creative drama program on the level of harmony, self-confidence and communication in the athletes showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the volleyball players who received creative drama training (experimental group) and volleyball players who did not receive creative drama training (control group). In the literature review conducted in line with the purpose of the research, the fact that no study was found in which the effect of creative drama program on communication, self-confidence and team cohesion was measured in athletes reveals the originality of this study. It is thought that this study, which was designed based on the requirement that scientific knowledge can rise gradually , will shed light on scientists, psychological performance counselors, sports managers, coaches , athletes and new researchers and will contribute to the literature by filling an important gap in the literature.

Background The aim of the present study was to assess the correlation of immunohistochemical subtyping with clinical diagnosis in order to achieve useful epidemiological data regarding amyloidosis in Turkish patients. Method We carried out immunohistochemical studies on 128 biopsies from various sites of 111 patients with biopsy-proven amyloidosis and, based on the results, classified the patients. We assessed the correlation of immunohistochemical subtype with clinical diagnosis and gathered epidemiological data. Results The sites most biopsied were kidney and rectum, followed by the testicle, liver, small intestine and bladder. Amyloid deposits showed positive staining with a single antibody in 120 biopsies. Pure amyloid A (AA) positivity was seen in 113 biopsies; six biopsies were positive for amyloid lambda (AL) and one for beta2-microglobulin (beta2MG). The clinical diagnoses of 81 patients (98 biopsies all AA positive) were suggestive of familial Mediterranean fever (FMF). Also AA positive were eight patients with tuberculosis, seven patients with rheumatoid arthritis, four patients with bronchiectasis and one patient with Crohn's disease. The biopsies from seven patients clinically suspected to have plasma cell dyscrasias were AL positive. One patient undergoing haemodialysis was beta2MG positive. Two patients without definite diagnoses showed double or triple positivity, which could not be interpreted and classified immunohistochemically. Conclusions This study demonstrates that the predominant association of AA amyloidosis is with FMF. It also suggests that the routine immunohistochemical study of patients with amyloidosis who are of certain ethnic backgrounds suffices for classifying the subtype of amyloid fibril protein and the related disease.

Objective: A cross-sectional study was performed to evaluate the prevalence of enuresis nocturna (EN) among 6-10 year-old primary school children in Kırıkkale. Material and Method: Children (n:1500) aged between 6-10 years were included in the study. Questionnaires were answered by the parents to evaluate the demographic and voiding characteristics, time of toilet training, dysfunctional voiding (DV) symptoms, prevalence of EN, methods and results of EN treatment. DV score (DVS) validated for Turkish children were surveyed and scores greater than 8.5 were considered significant. Results: Children (n:1372) who completed the questionnaire were included in the study. The mean age of students was 8.27 years (M: F: 707:659). EN was noted in 11.4 % (n:157, group 1) of children. EN history was noted in 37.5 % (n:515, group 2) of children, and 51.1 % (n:700, group 3) of them had never EN. Toilet training was completed after 5 years of age in 5.2 % of the students with EN and 1.3 % of the children without EN (p

Gallstone spillage during laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a relatively common occurrence. These intraperitoneal gallstones are considered to be harmless. Rarely, they may give rise to complications. Surgeons should retrieve spilled stones whenever possible. We report the case of a 75-year-old man with retroperitoneal abscess that developed 6 years following laparoscopic cholecystectomy as a late complication. The cavity, though it drained purulent material, was sterile in culture. Gallstones were found in the drain effluent. To our knowledge this is the first case report in English of such a delayed complication caused by spilled gallstones.Every effort should be made to avoid perforation of the gall bladder during its dissection. Whether the procedure should be converted to open surgery to retrieve all the stones is subject to debate.

Background: Although early treatment is valuable in the prognosis of crush syndrome, the diagnosis and treatment of many victims are inevitably delayed in major disasters. Patients and Methods: Among the 38 victims of the Marmara earthquake with crush injury, 27 were diagnosed as crush syndrome on the basis of findings of acute renal failure. Intensive intravenous fluid treatment was started in all patients on admission. Of these 27 patients, 10 required dialysis treatment while 17 did not. The laboratory data on admission were evaluated and compared between the two groups. Results: The mean admission time of 27 patients was 46.5 ± (SE) 3.08 h. There was no significant difference between the dialysis and the nondialysis groups with regard to patient’s age, trapped time or admission time. A significantly higher number of patients had crush injury in more than one extremity in the dialysis group. The dialysis group had significantly lower systolic blood pressure, central venous pressure but a higher heart rate together with higher levels of serum urea nitrogen, creatinine, creatinine kinase, C-reactive protein, fibrinogen on admission compared to the nondialysis group. Conclusion: Our results suggest that even delayed application of aggressive specific fluid treatment under close monitoring may prevent the development of established acute renal failure.

PubMed: 18187500 Background. Haemodialysis treatment can be very tiring and unpleasant, particularly for paediatric patients, families and also for the treatment team. In this study, the basic needs of children on haemodialysis were determined in order to improve the conditions of their therapy environment. Methods. The requirements of 20 children and 40 adults, who were on haemodialysis therapy for a minimum of five sessions, were recorded by means of a questionnaire. Results. The majority of children and adults preferred to be treated in separate units. All children and adults stated that they needed a constant transportation facility to be provided by the dialysis unit. All children wanted their parents/relatives to be with them during the dialysis sessions while only a minority of adults required an accompanying relative. The majority of both paediatric and adult patients preferred daytime sessions. The majority of children preferred to have the same nurse to needle their fistula and supervise their therapy session. Conclusions. The health authority should recognize the role of the therapy team, including a paediatric nephrologist, in providing the basic needs and fulfilling the expectations of paediatric haemodialysis patients in order to increase the efficiency of the treatment. © The Author [2008].
