Abstract

Background: Prediabetes and obesity in women are important health problems today. Appropriate selfmanagement and other methods are needed to overcome this. Objective: To assess the magnitude of the difference in changes in fasting blood glucose levels, before and after carrying out ADCES7 self-care behavior and acupressure. Method: This research is quasi-experimental research. The research design used was the Non-Randomized Pre Test - Post Test Control Group, which gathered obese, prediabetic women in the Kalumata Community Health Center, Siko Community Health Center and Posbindu under the PKK Ternate City through screening by excluding those who had suffered from diabetes mellitus and were pregnant. This group was then divided into the ADCES7 self care behavior intervention group, the acupressure group and the combined ADCES7 self care behavior and acupressure group. Multivariate logistic regression was used to assess changes in fasting blood glucose levels. Results: Respondents in this study were 102 people who were divided into three groups. The results showed that there was an effect of Self Management intervention p(0.016)<0.05, acupressure intervention p(0.032)<0.05, and the combination group of Self Management and Acupressure p(0.011)<0.05 on changes in fasting blood glucose levels in prediabetic obese women. Conclusion: obese prediabetic women who are aware and active in self-management ACDES7 self care behavior and acupressure can reduce blood glucose levels and body weight in obese prediabetic women. Abstract

Tuberculosis paru merupakan penyebab utama kematian yang dikaitkan dengan kompleks Mycobacterium tuberculosis secara global. Angka kejadian tuberkulosis dihitung sebagai membagi jumlah kasus penyakit baru dalam setahun dalam seratus ribu populasi. Banyak faktor resiko terkait dengan TB yaitu koinfeksi dengan jamur Candida spp. Koeksistensi antara patogen jamur dan TB paru adalah suatu kondisi klinis yang umumnya terjadi pada pasien imunosupresif. Maka diperlukan adanya skrining pada penderita pasien tuberculosis yang berkoinfeksi dengan Candida spp, terutama dalam kasus pasien dengan respons yang tidak adekuat terhadap terapi OAT. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gen candida spp pada swab tenggorok pasien penderita TB di Puskesmas Kalumata. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif analitik dengan desain Cross Sectional. Adapun gen yang digunakan yaitu C. albicans (665 bp), C. parasilopsis I (837 bp), C. parasilopsis II (310 bp), C. guilliermondii (205 bp) dan C. lusitaniae (799 bp). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 30 sampel ditemukan 7 sampel (23,3%) Spesies Candida albicans, Candida parasilopsis II sebanyak 8 sampel (26,7%) dan 15 sampel negatif (50%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu dari 30 sampel terdeteksi 15 sampel yang mempunyai gen Candida spp., Pulmonary tuberculosis is the leading cause of death associated with the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex globally. The incidence of tuberculosis is calculated as dividing the number of new cases of the disease in a year in one hundred thousand population. Many risk factors associated with TB are coinfection with the fungus Candida spp. Coexistence between fungal pathogens and pulmonary TB is a common clinical condition in immunosuppressed patients. Thus, there is a need for screening in patients with tuberculosis co-infected with Candida spp, especially in cases of patients with inadequate response to OAT therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the candida spp gene in throat swabs of TB patients at the Kalumata Health Center. The method used is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional design. The genes used were C. albicans (665 bp), C. Parasilopsis I (837 bp), C. Parasilopsis II (310 bp), C. guilliermondii (205 bp) and C. lusitaniae (799 bp). The results showed that from 30 samples found 7 sampels (23,3%) Candida albicans species, Candida parasilopsis II as many as 8 samples (26.7%) and 15 samples were negative (50%). The conclusion of this study is that from 30 samples, 15 samples were detected that had the Candida spp gene.
