Bu çalışma, Scopus veri tabanı üzerinde 2008-2023 yılları arasında metaverse ve eğitim kavramlarını içeren uluslararası bilimsel çalışmaları bibliyometrik bir perspektifle incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında, başlık, özet ve anahtar kelimeler içerisinde "metaverse" ve "eğitim" kavramlarını barındıran 709 uluslararası bilimsel çalışmanın bibliyometrik analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. VOSviewer aracılığı ile çalışmalara yönelik analizlerin görsel haritaları oluşturulmuştur. 2008-2023 yılları arasında Scopus veri tabanında yayınlanan uluslararası bilimsel çalışmaların sayısında belirgin bir artış gözlemlenmiş olup; özellikle 2022 ve 2023 yıllarında önemli bir yükseliş olduğu tespit edilmiştir. "Bilgisayar Bilimleri", "Sosyal Bilimler" ve "Mühendislik" gibi farklı alan çalışmalarına ait akademik disiplinlerin, metaverse ve eğitim konularında yoğun bir şekilde araştırma yapılan alanlar olarak öne çıktığı görülmüştür. "Metaverse" kelimesi, bibliyometrik analizde en çok görüntülenen anahtar kelime olarak belirlenmiştir. "Virtual Reality", "Augmented Reality" ve "Education" gibi anahtar kelimeler, metaverse ve eğitim konularında yoğun bir şekilde birbirleriyle ilişkilendirilmiştir. Çalışmalar arasında en çok atıf alan eserler, Dwidedi (2022), Kye (2021), Hwang (2022) ve Tlili (2022) olarak tespit edilmiştir. Çin, en yüksek çalışma sayısına sahip olan ülke iken, bilimsel araştırmalarda en fazla atıf alan ülkenin Güney Kore olduğu görülmüştür. Güney Kore’yi ikinci sırada Çin’in, üçüncü sırada ise Amerika’nın takip ettiği gözlemlenmiştir.

This study investigates the impact of Augmented Reality (AR) technology on the customer experience at Miracle MacBook, contextualized within the Indonesian SME landscape. AR enhances user engagement by blending virtual elements with the physical world, offering an immersive shopping experience. The study uses interviews, observations, surveys, and analytical frameworks (STP, SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, VRIO, SDLC, and Augmented Reality Maturity Model) to assess the impact of AR as a business transformation. The results highlight the significant benefits of implementing AR to increase consumer engagement and loyalty in a competitive SME environment. The study recommends implementing AR technology to increase consumer trust and reduce reliance on price competition for Miracle MacBook and similar SMEs in Indonesia. Strategically integrating AR into online platforms can mitigate existing weaknesses and threats by enriching transactional experiences and differentiating brands through innovation. Recommendations include initiating AR pilot projects on websites with basic 3D interaction features, investing in advanced AR capabilities, and expanding AR applications to enhance customer service and marketing initiatives. Ongoing evaluation and training programs are essential to sustain AR innovation and meet evolving consumer demands. By strategically embracing AR, SMEs like Miracle MacBook can increase customer engagement, drive sales growth, and strengthen their market position amidst the digital transformation of Indonesia’s SME sector. This paper proposes the application of augmented reality to an intelligent automation platform to support industrial scheduling. A dual-resource scheduling plan is generated for machines and workers, and there is the necessity of coordination between both resources to avoid delays and unexpected errors. The application of augmented reality aims at two focal points: facilitating the workers’ tasks by displaying the step-by-step procedures for each task they are assigned and also monitoring the ongoing work on machines so that workers can be aware when intervention is needed. The main contributions of this work are the fully integration of augmented reality within the cyber-physical systems present in the intelligent automation platform and the enhancement of workers’ capabilities in order to actively follow a scheduling plan. This study includes an experiment that mimics part of a workday and a questionnaire on usability and user experience, which presented excellent results compared to the benchmarks.

The aim of the article is to study the features of the integration of holistic marketing and digital technologies, allowing to transform the fashion industry and provide brands with the opportunity to find novel ways to express their identity and interact with their audience. Generalizing scientific approaches to defining the essence of the concepts of «holistic marketing» and «digital marketing», the article determines the relevance of integrating these two concepts as used in the fashion industry, which should foster the improving of the quality of goods and services, reinforcing the interaction between brands and consumers, thus increasing their role in the implementation of the conception of holistic marketing. It is substantiated that digital marketing allows fashion brands to increase their online presence through a variety of channels. Social media and other digital platforms allow brands in the fashion industry to interact directly with their audience through comments, messages, and reviews, thus providing manufacturers of clothing and accessories with additional opportunities to receive feedback from consumers and improve their assortment. Digital marketing allows fashion brands to reach an international audience and expand their global presence without significant infrastructure costs, a promotion can even be more cost-effective compared with traditional advertising. At the same time, the closure of some stores of foreign brands for security reasons, the change of seasons and the growing popularity of the domestic range of goods «made in Ukraine» created opportunities for the recovery of the fashion business in Ukraine. Digital platforms are used to convey information about a brand’s commitment to sustainable and ethical practices, which attracts the attention of socially conscious consumers. For example, the social project Under Sirens, organized in Europe, aims at drawing the world’s attention to the russian-led war going on in Ukraine. The fashionable Ukrainian brands labels incorporate soundtracks and, making use of augmented reality, turn into air raid sirens very alike to the alarms that howl in Ukrainian cities every now and then.

ABSTRACTFor evaluation of industrial augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) applications, a comprehensive knowledge of their impact on productivity, process metrics, and human factors is critical to facilitate the transition from lab-scale research to industrial settings. While laboratory-scale evaluations have been extensively researched, successful implementation in industrial settings has fallen short. This paper presents a multi-criteria evaluation model using a mixed methods approach to study thirteen industrial use cases of AR/VR applications in manufacturing over two years. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with companies about the impact of the application. A human factors questionnaire was completed by 69 participants, including in-house users, industry experts, and inexperienced novices. The results of the use cases show an average reduction of 23.61% in process and 25% in cycle time. Process quality indicators improved significantly compared to baseline. The evaluation found no significant differences in workload and ease of use between age groups.

AbstractAdvances in technology have encouraged people in Indonesia to shop online. Apart from the convenience people feel when shopping online, there are still disadvantages that prevent them from trying the products they will buy. Therefore, a virtual try-on feature based on augmented reality (AR) could be a solution. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing AR on beauty and fashion products on the intention to continue using AR and shopping in e-commerce. The design of this research model is based on the Stimulus, Organism, Response (SOR) theory used to investigate research factors using AR characteristics. This study used a covariance-based structural equation modeling method. This study involved 549 respondents and demonstrated that interactivity, novelty, hedonic value and satisfaction significantly affect continuance intention. In addition, AR continuance intention also had a significant effect on purchase intention. The results of this research are also expected to be input for e-commerce service providers and AR developers to improve services for users to shop online. This study contributes to extending SOR theory to the context of AR characteristics.

Key stakeholders across different industries with competing visions, motivations and technology bets are investing significant financial resources in developing the building blocks of the metaverse. The purpose of this opinion piece aimed primarily at practitioners is to explore the key question: What is needed to make the metaverse real? What are the key uncertainties that must be resolved? We are motivated by shedding light on whether the metaverse is just a new marketing buzzword or a new transformative trend. We have identified six areas with key uncertainties, which require agreement and solutions from industry players – the space, the interface, the IT infrastructure, the monetary infrastructure, the digital ID and the energy. These uncertainties will be resolved in a series of cooperative and competitive games among the key stakeholders who will need to work on being aligned on a set of standards. The practical implication is that the metaverse cannot be ignored, but there are non-trivial challenges that need to be resolved first. Our paper provides a framework for practitioners to think through these issues in a more systematic fashion.

Mountain glaciers are considered great reservoirs of water, and their importance lies in the fact that many of our ecosystems and numerous communities depend on them; Peru has one of the largest extensions of Andean snow-capped mountains, which have been affected by the decline in their glacier coverage and that is warned, will disappear due to environmental conditions and alterations in the current global temperature. This problem has increased due to ignorance, misinformation, indifference, and lack of solidarity on the part of the population who favors this discouraging situation. Taking advantage of the current technological immersion, in which we live, the development of a mobile application was proposed as a pedagogical resource to raise awareness among educational institutions about the glacial retreat of the Peruvian Andean snow-capped mountains, showing the current situation of some of the snow-capped mountains of the Andes that have suffered a greater impact, implementing augmented reality technology to obtain an interactive link. To provide greater detail of the situation, previous studies were carried out on glacial retreats in two Peruvian snow-capped mountains over the last 40 years, where it was found that, of the snow-capped mountains considered, Chicon had a decrease of 32.5% of its glacier cover, and Pumahuanca had a decrease of 56.9%. Such results are exposed within the application to provide realistic data on the glacial conditions of both Peruvian snow-capped mountains, as well as the consequences and conservation techniques to mitigate and cope with deglaciation. Taking into consideration that environmental education from an early age turns out to be key to forming an informed and participatory society about climate change.

Augmented reality (AR) is a technology increasingly used by organizations in various areas of their operations. The purpose of this article is to identify research directions related to the application of AR in management and business. An additional purpose is to develop a conceptual framework as a basis for future research on this topic. Using a systematic literature review method, the main research directions for AR were identified. The researchers analysed the use of AR technology in the areas of good sector, tourism industry, marketing, user experience, construction industry, ICT, education, food sector, service sector, warehouse, disaster risk management, architecture. Then, using the method of virtual ethnography, future research directions were identified, which include the use of augmented reality technology in the areas of performance management, data management, small business and business development. The article, based on the analysis of the main trends in the development of the tourism market in the context of global digitalization, which has intensified in the field of tourism and hospitality, substantiates structural changes in the tourist services market of Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to study the features of the use of digital technologies in the tourism industry of Ukraine. The article used methods of analysis and synthesis to summarize the development of digital technologies in tourism; method of comparative analysis – to compare the experience of international and national digital tourism development; prognostic methods – to outline the prospects for further development of digital tourism in Ukraine in the post-war period. The authors made an attempt to predict the prospects for digitalization of the tourism industry of our country based on the integration of several defining areas – AR (augmented reality), VR (virtual reality), AI (artificial intelligence), as well as robots and blockchain technologies. The article quite fully covers the issues of digital support of business processes in the field of tourism, analyzes the opportunities and prospects of tourism BigData, which are used for analyzing information, making forecasts, sustainable developing the tourism industry. The deliberate implementation of best practices in the field of digital technologies can help our country’s tourism industry implement strategies that become possible by the wider use of digital content and platforms. Metaverse bursts into the media as a new marketing channel in September 2021, creating an explosion of reactions as brands join the race to be pioneers. Within a fully digital society and from a mature gaming industry, Metaverse is much more than an incubator of marketing and advertising ideas for brands, Metaverse is envisioned as a social disruption. This scenario raises three relevant questions to resolve over time: 1) Will the Metaverse finally take shape as a virtual society or, on the contrary, will it be integrated as one more channel of relationship within the context omnichannel? 2) how customers, brands and institutions are reacting to the Metaverse and 3) in any case, what transversal disruptive changes will be necessary in the new scenario of the Metaverse? From the deep and constant search for information in secondary sources (desk research methodology), this article seeks a holistic vision of the Metaverse, and its reading will allow defining specific areas of research on behavior patterns of people in this new virtual reality.
