Background: Peer evaluation is the cornerstone of science evaluation. In this paper, we analyze whether or not a form of peer evaluation, the pre-publication selection of the best papers in Computer Science (CS) conferences, is better than random, when considering future citations received by the papers., Methods: Considering 12 conferences (for several years), we collected the citation counts from Scopus for both the best papers and the non-best papers. For a different set of 17 conferences, we collected the data from Google Scholar. For each data set, we computed the proportion of cases whereby the best paper has more citations. We also compare this proportion for years before 2010 and after to evaluate if there is a propaganda effect. Finally, we count the proportion of best papers that are in the top 10% and 20% most cited for each conference instance., Results: The probability that a best paper will receive more citations than a non best paper is 0.72 (95% CI = 0.66, 0.77) for the Scopus data, and 0.78 (95% CI = 0.74, 0.81) for the Scholar data. There are no significant changes in the probabilities for different years. Also, 51% of the best papers are among the top 10% most cited papers in each conference/year, and 64% of them are among the top 20% most cited., Discussion: There is strong evidence that the selection of best papers in Computer Science conferences is better than a random selection, and that a significant number of the best papers are among the top cited papers in the conference.

The study compared the bibliometric parameters of scholarly communications published in COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics & Information Management (CJSIM) and Journal of Scientometric Research (JSR) from 2012 to 2021. Different bibliometric parameters examined in the study are pattern of output during 2012 to 2021, identification of most prolific countries and their citation impact in terms of Citation Per Paper (CPP), i-10 index and Papers not Cited (PnC). Study also identified prolific institutions and authors and their citation impact besides examining pattern of citation. The study also examined the pattern of domestic and international collaboration. Findings of the study indicate that the pattern of output is inconsistent in both the journals. The output is scattered among 39 countries in CJSIM and 50 countries in JSR. India followed by Iran contributed the highest number of papers in both the journals. Most of the prolific institutions and authors were from India in both the journals. More number of papers remained uncited in CJSIM as compared to JSR. More number of papers were published in domestic collaboration in JSR as compared to CJSIM. However, papers published in international collaboration in both the journals was almost equal. Among all the countries, China published the highest number of papers in international collaboration in CJSIM, but no such trend was observed in JSR. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of this article is to explore up to seven parameters related to the methodological quality and reproducibility of thematic bibliometric research published in the two most productive journals in bibliometrics, Sustainability (a journal outside the discipline) and Scientometrics, the flagship journal in the field. The study identifies the need for developing tailored tools for improving the quality of thematic bibliometric analyses, and presents a framework that can guide the development of such tools. A total of 508 papers are analysed, 77% of Sustainability, and 23% published in Scientometrics, for the 2019-2021 period. An average of 2.6 shortcomings per paper was found for the whole sample, with an almost identical number of flaws in both journals. Sustainability has more flaws than Scientometrics in four of the seven parameters studied, while Scientometrics has more shortcomings in the remaining three variables. The first limitation of this work is that it is a study of two scientific journals, so the results cannot be directly extrapolated to the set of thematic bibliometric analyses published in journals from all fields. We propose the adoption of protocols, guidelines, and other similar tools, adapted to bibliometric practice, which could increase the thoroughness, transparency, and reproducibility of this type of research. These results show considerable room for improvement in terms of the adequate use and breakdown of methodological procedures in thematic bibliometric research, both in journals in the Information Science area and journals outside the discipline. This study analyzed top papers published in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS) published between 2009 and 2019 and included in the Web of Science (WoS) subject category "Information Science & Library Science". Data of the 501 top papers were extracted from the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database comprising 499 highly cited papers and 16 hot papers in the field. The distributions of document type, language of publication, scientific output, and publication of journals are reported in this paper. The co-authorship network visualization of authors, organizations and countries, co-occurrence network visualization of all keywords are visualized using VOSviewer software. The 501 papers, all written in English language, were from 1,579 authors employed at 680 organizations based in 59 countries/territories. The papers were published in 40 journals in the field. The top 5 core journals ranked based on the impact factor (IF) were MIS Quarterly, Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, International Journal of Information Management, Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, and Information Management. The top 5 organizations were University of Maryland (USA), University of Wolverhampton (UK), Vanderbilt University (USA), Indiana University (USA), and Wuhan University (China). Authors from the following countries contributed the most - USA, People's Republic of China, England, Canada and Netherlands. Based on network map using VOSviewer, there were micro, meso and macro level collaborations based on common interests in a specific topics. Analysis of all keywords showed that the research were distributed into 6 clusters. This study concludes that one important characteristic of top papers is the journal reputation, therefore authors can choose their ideal journal with a high JIF and quartile to publish papers in the English language related to this research field. Classic papers are novel facilities of Google scholar. These papers were first developed by Google scholar in May 2017. Classic papers have been considered highly cited papers since last 10 years. Effective authors, institutions, universities, and countries on improving science can be identified by analyzing the papers. Therefore, this study aims to examine characteristics of classic papers of Library and Information Science (LIS). This study will use Scientometrics indicators. The study sample includes LIS classic papers. To gather the data, some databases such as Google scholar, Web of Science, and Scopus are applied. Excel and SPSS applications are used for descriptive and statistical analyses. The study data indicate that Scientometrics journal covers most classic papers on LIS (5 papers). 60% of the papers are written by more than one author. A paper of "Usage Pattern of Collaborating Tagging System" is highly cited paper of LIS with 3051 and 1308 citations on Google scholar and Scopus respectively. Analysis of authors' affiliation shows that American universities and institutions play considerable role in LIS classic papers. Background: From time to time, neuroimaging research findings receive press coverage and attention by the general public. Scientific articles therefore should be written in a readable manner to facilitate knowledge translation and dissemination. However, no published readability report on neuroimaging articles like those published in education, medical and marketing journals is available. As a start, this study therefore aimed to evaluate the readability of the most-cited neuroimaging articles.Methods: The 100 most-cited articles in neuroimaging identified in a recent study by Kim et al. (2016) were evaluated. Headings, mathematical equations, tables, figures, footnotes, appendices, and reference lists were trimmed from the articles. The rest was processed for number of characters, words and sentences. Five readability indices that indicate the school grade appropriate for that reading difficulty (Automated Readability Index, Coleman-Liau Index, Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level, Gunning Fog index and Simple Measure of Gobbledygook index) were computed. An average reading grade level (AGL) was calculated by taking the mean of these five indices. The Flesch Reading Ease (FRE) score was also computed. The readability of the trimmed abstracts and full texts was evaluated against number of authors, country of corresponding author, total citation count, normalized citation count, article type, publication year, impact factor of the year published and type of journal.Results: Mean AGL ± standard deviation (SD) of the trimmed abstracts and full texts were 17.15 ± 2.81 (college graduate level) and 14.22 ± 1.66 (college level) respectively. Mean FRE score ± SD of the abstracts and full texts were 15.70 ± 14.11 (college graduate level) and 32.11 ± 8.56 (college level) respectively. Both items indicated that the full texts were significantly more readable than the abstracts (p < 0.001). Abstract readability was not associated with any factors under investigation. ANCOVAs showed that review/meta-analysis (mean AGL ± SD: 16.0 ± 1.4) and higher impact factor significantly associated with lower readability of the trimmed full texts surveyed.Conclusion: Concerning the 100 most-cited articles in neuroimaging, the full text appears to be more readable than the abstracts. Experimental articles and methodology papers were more readable than reviews/meta-analyses. Articles published in journals with higher impact factors were less readable.

Introduction: Disciplinarity and other forms of differentiation in science have long been studied in the fields of science and technology studies, information science and scientometrics. However, it is not obvious whether these fields are building on each other's findings. Methods: An analysis is made of 609 articles on disciplinarity selected through a combination of automatic and manual methods published from 2000 to 2013. Analysis: Scientometric methods are used to determine how the different fields approach the study of disciplinarity. It seeks to establish how cognitively similar the approaches are, by exploring their use of knowledge base (derived from reference lists) and of the cognitive concepts used in the titles of works. Results: The three fields have very distinct communities of practitioners, but are similar cognitively. The three fields are using as their knowledge base similar authors, although not necessarily the same work by those authors. Both scientometrics and information science draw from the science and technology studies literature, which is not reciprocating. The similarity of terminology indicates that the three fields are studying the same objects, but other indicators suggest that they are actually interested in quite different aspects of those objects. Introduction: The purpose of this study was to determine if and how human information behaviour (HIB) research is used by others. Method: Using ISI Web of Knowledge, a citation analysis was conducted on 155 English-language HIB articles published from 1993 to 2000 in six prominent LIS journals. The bibliometric core of 12 papers was identified. Content analysis was performed on papers citing the core (n = 377) to determine how the papers were cited. A domain visualization was constructed of the citing relationships within the entire corpus. Analysis: Citation analysis, content analysis and social network analysis were used to analyse the data. Results: HIB literature is being cited, primarily (81.5%) by LIS authors. Fields outside of LIS citing HIB articles include engineering, psychology, education and medicine. Papers were cited generally (36.0%), for findings (28.5%) and for theory (25.3%) with few citations for method (6.0%). The domain visualization depicted a clear core of HIB scholarship surrounded by a periphery of largely uncited literature. Conclusion: HIB literature is yet to have a significant impact on other disciplines. It appears to be a second stage discipline, marked by theoretical consistency and exponential growth in publications and new researchers. More attention should be paid to writing and citation practices to allow HIB literature to become a rich guide to the act of doing HIB research.

The present paper describes the Canadian Journal of Information and library science (CJILS) research output between 1993-2021. All articles published since 1993 were analyzed for publication. The result reveals that 337 articles, book reviews, editorial and conference papers were published during 1993 to 2021. Authorship patterns, geographical locations of authors, keywords and contributions of various institutions from different continents were brought into consideration for this study. Longitudinal trends are noted in this research and the data were compared with earlier descriptions of information science in Canada. The result shows that majority of works were contributed by scholars from Canada. Noticing the year-wise contributions, it was found that the year 2015 was good by contributing 22 papers in CJILS. Among the most prominent institutions, The University of Western Ontario produced total 54 papers. Among the most prominent authorship, Julien, H. remained in the top position with ten articles at this journal. The 28 years contribution to the Canadian Journal of Information and Library Science (CJILS) will help the dynamic researchers, scholars in library and information science and stakeholders of the journal to further advance the quality of journal in the near future. The current study aims to evaluate the Scopus-indexed publications of Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Chairperson, Department of Library and Information Sciences (LIS) at Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Pakistan. She obtained her Master's degree in LIS in 1991 from IUB, later she joined IUB as a Lecturer in the Department of LIS in 1993. She completed her Ph.D. at The University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 2003. She is the most productive LIS author belonging to the Southern part of Punjab province in Pakistan. The data of this study was retrieved from the Scopus database on January 2nd, 2023. The data analysis presented the periodic growth of papers, citation impact, authorship pattern, collaborative authors, frequently used sources of publications, topographic distribution of papers based on authors' used keywords and characteristics of top-cited papers. The findings of this study would encourage the females of Pakistan through sincere hard work, commitment and dedication, any female can achieve success in her practical and professional career. The study aimed to evaluate the bibliometric research of Library and Information Science (LIS) research contributed by the authors affiliated with the University of Karachi (UoK), Pakistan. The dataset was limited to 22 years from January 2000 to December 2021 and a list of evaluated papers has been proved from various online and print sources. Google Scholar has been employed to access the record of citation(s). Ninety-two papers were identified with at least one author affiliated with the UoK on the subject category of LIS and these papers were cited 707 times. Two-author collaboration was found to be the preferred authorship pattern and the papers written in this pattern got a better citation result. A number of research articles' contributions have been found that female authors are more than male authors. Syed Jalaluddin Haider, Munira Nasreen Ansari and Farhat Hussain emerged as the most prolific authors with 26, 25 and 15 papers, respectively. The papers published in international journals got higher citations and about threefourth of the papers were published in the top 11 sources which in found from these research. The subject dispersion revealed that LIS Education and Library Management were the favorite areas. The characteristics of the ten most cited papers revealed that 60% citations were gained by these papers. The findings of this paper support understanding the research trends in LIS at UoK. Although cited reference studies are common in the library and information science literature, they are rarely performed in nonacademic institutions or in the atmospheric and oceanic sciences. In this paper, we analyze more than 400,000 cited references made by authors affiliated with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration between 2009 and 2013. Our results suggest that these methods can be applied to research libraries in a variety of institutions, that the results of analyses performed at one institution may not be applicable to other institutions, and that cited reference analyses should be periodically updated to reflect changes in authors' referencing behavior.

Purpose- The purpose of this paper is to analyze bibliometrics and visualization of Library Philosophy and Practice (LPP). Design/methodology/approach-Scopus citation database was used to gather the data. Using advanced search in the database, bibliographic data of the articles published in the journal over the past twenty years were extracted. Then, the analysis was performed using bibliometric indicators and some applications, such as Microsoft Excel and VOS viewer. Findings- The data indicated that the process of publications (R²=0.69) and citations received by papers (R²=0.85) was ascending. The paper of W. Fang (2007), "Using Google analytics for improving library website content and design: A case study", is the most highly cited paper of LPP. Bhatti, R. (19 papers), Nigeria (549 papers), University of Ibadan (78 papers) are the most productive and influential authors, universities, and countries in LPP, respectively. Keyword clustering of published papers indicates that the most frequent keywords can fall into five clusters and the first and most important cluster is "bibliometrics study". In addition, the analysis of references of LPP articles showed that "Library Philosophy and Practice" "Scientometrics", and "The Electronic Library" are the top journals, Aina, I., Wilson, T.D.O., and Mahmood, K. are the top authors cited in LPP. Practical implications- The bibliometrics analysis and LPP visualization can be a useful for either library and information science (LIS) scholars or the people interested in bibliometric studies; therefore, they can use it as a pattern to review other journals. Originality/value- This study suggests a general outlook for the performance of an international LIS journal using bibliometric indicators and visualization. The prime purpose of this study is to find out the research productivity of three regions Nigeria, Pakistan, and India. The bibliometric quantification was used to analyze the data. The present research identifies the importance of this online journal. The study discloses frequency of publication growth, author's collaborations, papers length, and most cited papers, most productive authors, and total references used. Design/methodology/approach The survey method was used to find out the full-text research articles on the online database of LPP. The Google scholar was used to retrieve the citations. All the collected data has been analyzed using MS excel and other electronic devices. Findings The results of this study indicate that in the year 2008 to 2013. The contribution of Nigerian authors is more than the other two nations that are 226 while Indian comes 2nd with 193 research papers and Pakistan comes 3rd with 67 research articles from the studied period in the wellknown journal of Library and information science field that is LPP. The present study revealed the majority of the research articles were single authors from Nigeria 114, Pakistan 18, and India 80. The study results show that the majority of the paper length in the range of 6-10 Nigerian 116, Pakistan 34, and India 70 respectively. The study showed the total references were calculated 4140 from Nigeria, 1506 Pakistan, and 3243 from Indian. The most cited paper was retrieved by a Nigerian paper that is 197 citations. The analyzed data shows the most productive authors were Rubina Bhatti from Pakistan with 18 research papers. This study contributes to the existing literature of three-nation contributions to the Library Philosophy and practice throughout the year. This is the first study of three-nation research productivity in the well-known online journal library philosophy and practice. Limitations of the study The present study was limited to the well-known LIS Journal and research articles specifically published at online journal library philosophy and practice. This study is purely limited to the research productivity of Nigerian, Pakistani, and Indian authors to the Library Philosophy and Practice from 2008 to 2013. Practical implications Despite its limitations, the findings of the study will help the LIS professionals of three nations and as well as other parts of the LIS professionals to provide more information about their research productivity of a particular journal. The Journal of Business Economics and Management (JBEM) has been very active in the field of economics and management science and brought many influential outputs in the last decades. This paper investigated the current status of publications and citations from JBEM and explored the hot topics and new trends represented by most used keywords extracted from the published articles from 2007 to 2019. The data were analyzed and mapped with respect to the most cited literature, most prolific authors, and publication records categorized by authors, institutions and countries. The analysis revealed that papers published each year by the JBEM is relatively stable and published papers has an expected citation number 7.68 times. The difference in frequency of keywords in different stages give us informative clue for future studies. The emerging topics include "SMEs" "Information" "framework" "perspective", hence the likely focus of JBEM to consider submission of papers centered on these topics, the comparison of keywords between JBEM and Hot Papers & Highly Cited Papers was made as well. The paper aims to present a comparative analysis of scholarly research output in the fields of Library and Information Science (LIS) in India and South Korea. The Web of Science database was used to retrieve the bibliographic data of the Indian and South Korean LIS published documents during 2001-2020 and the indicators were included in the analysis: research productivity, publication-quality, most prolific authors, institutions and journals, "Annual Growth Rate (AGR)", "Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR)", "Relative Growth Rate (RGR)", and "Doubling Time (DT)". All types of documents such as articles, conference papers, book reviews, corrections, editorial materials, so on were included in the study. MS Excel, VOS viewer, and bibliometrix (R-tool) software were used for tabulation and mapping. The results show that South Korea placed the top in the overall output of LIS research publications during the last two decades. The Indian LIS research output, Annual Growth Rate (AGR), and Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) were good compared to South Korean LIS publications. In addition, the South Korean LIS researchers' output has increased rapidly in terms of publications, citations, average citations. Gangan Prathap (India), Seyoung Lee, and Heejin Lee (SK) are the most prolific authors; Indian Institute Technology, Delhi and Yonsei University, Seoul are the most prolific institutions; and the Scientometrics journal was the most preferred journal by the Indian and South Korean LIS researchers during the study period. The results of this study are useful to administrators, policymakers, and academics. In addition, the scope of this study might include looking at research published by LIS scholars in India and South Korea, as well as examining all types of academic publications. Background: This study employed bibliometric analysis to ascertain the research focus areas among a group of Mexican physicians affiliated with the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE). ISSSTE, a healthcare institution catering to a diverse range of diseases, offers a distinctive perspective on the investigated specialties within the realm of health. The primary objective was to identify knowledge gaps in medical care disciplines through a comprehensive examination of scholarly publications. Methods: We retrieved Scopus papers affiliated with "ISSSTE" and saved them as.CSV files. Subsequently, we employed VOSviewer, biblioshiny, and bibliometrix for bibliometric analysis. This enabled us to identify prominent institutions, prolific authors, highly cited researchers, and their respective affiliations. Results: Our analysis identified 2063 publications; the specialty internal medicine accounted for the greatest proportion with 831 publications. Original papers accounted for 82% of the total, with 52% of them being written in Spanish. The majority of scientific output, 92%, originated from Mexico City. The annual production has steadily increased since 2010, peaking in 2021 with over 200 publications. However, papers on prevalent conditions, such as metabolic syndrome, received limited citations, and the L0 index (percentage of uncited items) for all papers is close to 60%. Scopus mislabeled one affiliation, and some cases show a low paper-to-author ratio of 0.5 Discussion: Additional concerns, such as honorary authorship due to excessive authors per paper, and the underlying causes of low citation rates in Mexican publications, warrant further examination. Moreover, our research emphasizes the urgency of bolstering research and development funding, which was consistently below 0.5% of GDP for the past four decades, falling short of legal mandates and international benchmarks. We endorse the establishment of robust research collectives in Latin America to address these challenges, foster regional scientific output, and transition from knowledge consumers to knowledge producers, thereby reducing dependence on foreign technology. Speedy technological, social, political, demographic, and urban developments continued to change the scale of the cities worldwide. Therefore, it becomes essential to model urban growth to minimize future uncertainties. Therefore, it is critical to investigate how cities grow and how researchers investigate which factors influence city growth. Using bibliometric methods, this study intends to pinpoint the publishing patterns and expansion potential of Urban Growth Modelling (UGM) works, providing a better understanding and possible future research paths. All published articles on the 'Urban Growth model' from Scopus were identified and analyzed using the Bibliometric R-package and VOSviewer software. 218 publications were identified from 1983 to 2023, published in 103 journals, and 25 book chapters contributed by 557 authors, with a 2.7 collaboration Index and 2.56 authors per document. The high-frequency keywords used in recent years are urban growth, land use, remote sensing, urban planning, cellular automaton, urban development, modeling, urbanization, Geographic Information System (GIS), and land use change. Research papers published in Computers, Environment, and Urban Systems are the most cited, with 1047 total citations, h-index 13. The most active country was China, with a total of 38 documents. The most cited paper for UGM research is titled 'Modelling urban growth in Atlanta using logistic regression', which received over 378 citations. The study's findings offer milestones, a starting point for important research productivity data, and an understanding of how UGM research has evolved. This paper presents bio-bibliometric analysis of the contributions of Dr. Khalid Mahmood in the field of Library and Information Science through his publications. The analysis includes geographical and year wise distribution of publications; collaboration for publication; publications by type; language and journal preferences for the publication; and coverage of different subject areas. Results of the study indicate that Dr. Khalid Mahmood is a prolific writer in the field of library and information science. He contributed 115 items including 99 articles, six books, eight conference papers and two papers in newsletters till December 31, 2011. Research work by Dr. Khalid Mahmood is well accepted in developed countries like United Kingdom and United States of America. He used English language to disseminate majority of his research work. China has a population of 1.4 billion, ranking first in the world. With the increase in China's economic development and population, the construction of various types of buildings in China is also increasing, and associated safety hazards are gradually increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to study the safe evacuation of people inside and outside the building in emergency situations. In recent years, some scholars have used the traditional statistical method of literature review to analyze the research frontiers in the field of safety evacuation, but few scholars have used bibliometric methods to analyze and review the current situation of research in this field. Therefore, this paper adopts the analysis method combining bibliometrics and traditional literature review to summarize the research status of crowd evacuation published by Chinese scholars in the Web of Science core database, and uses VOSviewer to analyze the authors, institutions, and keywords of the literature search results, so as to identify their research hotspots. The results show that the last three years have been the peak period of crowd evacuation studies, with many disciplines involved in this field and they are closely related, led by the number of papers related to architecture. Simulation, model, behavior, among others, have been the most used keywords in this research field, and the research on path planning and exit selection behavior has also increased significantly. According to the keyword analysis, three hot spots of safety evacuation research, namely large-scale group evacuation, evacuation path planning and evacuation exit selection are analyzed in detail. This paper aims to evaluate the scientific publication research productivity in Malaysian Journal of Library and Information Science (MJLIS) for period of nineteen years between 1996 and 2014 with total of 315 research publications. For the purpose of this present study, the various attributes of this publication to know about chronology wise total papers, total authors, total citations, average authors per paper, average citation per paper, exponential growth rate, degree of collaboration, collaborative index, relative growth rate, doubling time, co-authorship index, subject wise distribution, institution and country wise distribution and length of papers have also analyzed. The scientometric tools and techniques such as Degree of Collaboration, Collaborative Index, Exponential Growth Rate, and Co-authorship index for measuring the output so as to arrive the appropriate results and findings during the period of study. The results reveal that out of 315 papers, 8.89% are the greatest number of research outputs in the year 2011 and the lowest number 4.13% are in the year 1998. The highest number of average authors per paper is 2.90 in the year 2012 and the average Exponential growth rate is 1.007 and showing the increasing trend in the journal. Through a bibliometric analysis, the paper reveals the current state and the global research trend in the areas of automatic ontology construction process (AOCP) and semi-automatic ontology construction process (SOCP) during the period of 2000-2016. Scopus, GoogleScholar and Scitepress digital library were used to extract the data for analysis. The study revealed that the majority of the works were published in conference proceedings. China was found to be the most contributing country in this area followed by USA, France, and Spain. The University of Karlsruhe contributed the maximum publications in both AOCP and SOCP whereas Peking University contributed largely to AOCP and Jozef Stefan Institute contributed largely only to SOCP. The majority of the researchers were from computer science background but a significant number of researchers were also from other disciplines including engineering and allied operations, library and information science, management and auxiliary services, making this research area truly interdisciplinary. The intersection of eco-literacy and social media is an intriguing subject of scholarly investigation, wherein acknowledging their mutual reliance is appropriately recognised. This study aimed to analyse the publication trends in Scopus and the Web of Science (WoS) concerning eco-literacy and social media research. The current study employed ScientoPy and VOSviewer software to analyse the evolution and publication trends, encompassing document types, source titles, highly cited papers, research themes, and institutions. This study utilises a combined dataset of 143 entries from the Scopus and WoS databases, with duplicate entries removed. The present study observed that the cumulative quantity of publications in both databases reached its highest point in 2021. The scholarly publication known as "Sustainability" is recognised for its extensive coverage of the topics of eco-literacy and social media. The term "environmental awareness" has the highest frequency, mentioned in 32 documents. In addition, the overlay visualisation demonstrates the prominence of keywords such as "sentiment analysis," "Twitter," "social networking sites," and "environment awareness" in the year 2020. This study provides a comprehensive global outlook on the current prominent topics within eco-literacy and social media, catering to the interests of potential readers and researchers. Furthermore, this bibliometric technique provides a variety of analyses that can assist in the organisation of data to develop theories and methodologies on eco-literacy and research on social media. Climate change, a global challenge and among one of the significant keyword(s) that potentially attract various fields of studies to be performed. Assessing its changes in various types of analysis such as in terms of bibliometrics illustrate the importance of considering its global impacts. Recently, scientometric study has become interactive methods for determining the performance of certain fields of study in which it will show the interactive figures and visualizations of various types of dimensions (i.e., query of information). Scientometric study has also provided tools for summarized literature-based evidence from available or selected scientific databases. The WOS database has been started to collect scientific publications from 1970, and the results of climate change related research in Malaysia have been conducted from 1976, and it shows the increasing trends starting from the year of 1976 until 2021. Thus, the objective of this study is to determine the current status of climate change research in Malaysia through the scientometric analysis. The evolution of scientific research publication in climate change had shown the increasing trends, in which the total overall publication was recorded as low as 2 papers in 1992 up until tenfold in 2020, with a total of 200 papers. The highest total scientific publication in the knowledge domain is 13.01% which is in 2020. The study showed that a total of 1,049 authors with 1,522 organizations have been involved actively in climate change research in Malaysia. The study also showed that a total of 35,550 citations were received from these areas and a total of 38 co-citation clusters of research emerged in the cluster analysis. The study analyses papers published in Journal of Advances in Library and Information Science (JALIS) using bibliometric techniques for the period of 2016 to 2020 (5 years). The study examines that, publication growth, degree of collaboration, authorship pattern of the articles and reference distribution. The study has analysed that the highest number of articles was published during the year of 2017 followed by 2016. The degree of collaboration ranges from 0.70 to 0.78 and its mean value is 0.74. The findings indicate that a total of 431 authors produced 243 articles with an average of 0.53 percentage of per author and majority of articles published by joint authors. It is expected that the usage of LIS in research papers will continue to expand in the coming years. This expansion may be seen throughout a wide range of scientific disciplines as well. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of 1,127 papers on the use of LIS research, which were published in 206 scientific publications and authored by 1,685 authors (245 single-authored documents and 1,440 multi-authored documents). The purpose of this investigation is to determine which issue in LIS is currently trending. To analyze the data, we extracted it from the Scopus database and ran it using R software's Bibliometrix program, which was then imported into VOSviewer. According to criteria derived from citation analysis, we have identified the most important papers, journals, authors, countries, and affiliations in the world. However, even though keywords and phrases are likely to be the most relevant subjects and findings of the research, it is possible that some of the main patterns and concerns that have been covered in the entire text are not well represented in our investigation. The paper brings out the results of a bibliometric analysis of the journal titled "Library Progress (International)" for the period from 2004 to 2015. The data were downloaded from the Indian Citation Index database. This study aims at analyzing the research output performance of Library scientists on library & information science subjects. The paper analyzes a citation study of 260 articles (62 times cited) were published from 2004 to 2015 in the Library Progress (International). The paper covers the bibliometric analyses of year-wise publication of articles, volume-wise, issue-wise, authorship patterns, institutions-wise publication of contributions, country-wise, state wise and city wise publication of articles. The result showed that out of 260 articles multiple authors contributed 72.69%, while the rest of 27.31% articles were contributed by single author. In this paper we propose a new family of cumulative indexes for measuring scientific performance which can be applied to many metrics, including h index and its variants (here we apply it to the h index, h(2) index and Google Scholar's i10 index). These indexes follow the general principle of repeating the index calculation for the same publication set. Using bibliometric data and reviewer scores for accepted and rejected fellowship applicants we examine how valid the cumulative variant is compared to the original variant. These analyses showed that the cumulative indexes result in higher correlations with the reviewer scores than their original variants. Thus, the cumulative indexes better reflect the assessments by peers than the original variants and are useful extensions of the original indexes. In contrast to many other measures of scientific performance proposed up to now, the cumulative indexes seem not only to be effective, but they are also easy to understand and calculate. The SRELS Journal of Information Management has been playing vital role in the library and information science field since last fifty years. This paper presents the results of a bibliometric study of articles with a gender viewpoint from 2007-2017. The aim of the study is to examine the journal during the period 2007-2017 using bibliometric indicators with a gender perspective. The pattern of research output in 606 publications is analyzed in which 435(71.78%) articles are contributed by male authors and 171(28.21%) by female authors. The degree of collaboration in the publications of the journal is 0.66. Most of the articles i.e. (52.31%) are two authored articles. The male and female distribution by professional category indicates large number of contributing authors belonged to non-teaching category i.e. 389 out of which 292 (67.12%) are male authors and 97 (56.72%) female authors. Maximum number i.e. 222 (36.6%) contributions are under male-male authorship pattern followed by 153(25.2%) male solo papers. Citation study showed that 120 cited articles received 215 citations. Male authors contributed maximum number of articles in the subject category "bibliometrics analysis" whereas females authored large number of articles on the topic "use studies". The purpose of this study was to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the Resource Description and Access (RDA) research in library and information science journals in Web of Science. Two hundred and fifty-eight journal articles related to RDA were extracted from Web of Science for analysis for the period between 2006 and 2020. A descriptive analysis of the most productive authors, institutions, countries, and journals and the most cited authors was conducted. To illuminate the major themes, the selected articles were also subjected to a co-word analysis and a document co-citation analysis using the visualization tool VOSviewer. The co-word analysis revealed five clusters of themes: (1) RDA implementation, (2) RDA and other metadata standards and technologies, (3) RDA and FRBR, FRAD and ISBD, (4) RDA and Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, (5) RDA and descriptive cataloging, authority control, catalogers, and training. The document co-citation analysis identified two distinctive clusters of themes: RDA testing, training and implementation, and RDA and FRBR-related conceptual models. An analysis of the temporal evolution of the themes showed that other metadata standards and technologies, especially linked data, and Bibframe, received more attention in recent years. Purpose: Library and Information Science subject is exceedingly pragmatic in nature in India more than a century old, which is one of the most knowledge producing and knowledge utilizing area and is associated with many of the tool subjects like computer science, statistics, management science etc. Since the subject has a very practical base therefore, both the theory and practice should go side by side. As a knowledge fabricating domain, a lot of researchers, professionals, academicians etc. are profoundly involved in the research. This research work briefly traces the Library and Information Science research stemming from India in the 21st century based on the data as depicted in Indian Citation Index (ICI) during the year 2006 - 2015 which will help the LIS professionals to get aware of the latest and emerging issues in this field. Methodology: A whole of 2,483 bibliographic data set have been retrieved in CSV format from one of the India's national level citation database i.e. Indian Citation Index (ICI) from 2006 to 2015. Methodologically bibliometric tools and techniques have been taken up and descriptive statistics methods were employed. The study also uses fractional counting method. Findings: 2,460 sole Indian LIS researchers have contributed 2,483 research papers in seven diverse categories and amongst them, 90.61% (2250) are research articles. 2015 have been the most productive year by publishing 16.63 % literatures. SRELS, DJLIT, PEARL, IJILS, IASLIC Bulletin, Library Herald and ALIS are the most preferred journals to the LIS professionals for publishing their research works. Most of the works of the researchers has been categorised into 57 micro areas. Out of them, Bibliometrics (14%) is the most significant area for the research fraternity. Other emerging areas of research are the following-User studies, Information technology, digital libraries, library consortia, library automation etc. Many of the literatures have been published in closed access in comparison to open access platform. The study showcases the collaborative research is leading in this field. The parent study was conducted with an aim to determine the various bibliometric characteristics of the documents published in Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology (JASIST) for 2014 to 2019. A retrospective study method was used and the data of JASIST were retrieved from Web of Science - Clarivate Analytics database. A total of 1,196 documents were found, contributed by the authors of 62 countries with average of 199 documents per annum. These documents received 11,941 citations with an average of 9.98 citations per documents. More than half of research were contributed by two countries, and amongst the top-10 most contributing organizations, six belonged to one country. The share of Asian countries has been recorded very low. JASIST has been providing excellent platform for dissemination of innovative ideas in the field of library and information Science since 1950. Background and objective: One of the approaches to represent scientific publications in a field of science is to determine research trends and hot topics. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the research trends on the Library and Information Science (LIS) in the Scopus database during 2011-2020 and specify the hot topics in this field from July 2020 to July 2021. Materials and Methods: This study used scientometric techniques. The research population consisted of all papers in the field of LIS from July 2011 to July 2021. The data were collected from the Scopus database. The results were limited to 2011-2020 for determining the research trends in the field of LIS and from July 2020 to July 2021 for specifying the hot topics in this field. Data were analyzed using the word co-occurrence and social network analysis techniques, and UCINet, NetDraw, and VOSviewer software were used to draw scientific maps and identify core topics and individuals. Results: The keywords "Systematic Review" (frequency=531) and "Bibliometrics" (frequency=51) had the highest and lowest frequencies, respectively. "Libraries and information technology" (n=151), "research methods" (n=70), and "databases" (n=23) were the three important topic clusters in the study area, in which the United States, China, and the United Kingdom were the three most active countries, respectively. The Department of Library and Information Science, University of London, with 71 documents, and the Department of Information Management, University of Punjab, with 55 documents, had the most significant contribution of article publication among the influential institutions. Moreover, Zhang, Yut, and Wang, Liying each with 27 documents, and Li, Xiano with 24 documents were three active and influential authors in this field. In addition, "systematic review", "diffusion pattern", and "bibliometric" were also three hot topics. Conclusion: This study revealed that the orientation of the LIS research is going from traditional topics toward novel and emerging technologies. Background: The ability of a scientist to maintain a continuous stream of publication may be important, because research requires continuity of effort. However, there is no data on what proportion of scientists manages to publish each and every year over long periods of time. Methodology/Principal Findings: Using the entire Scopus database, we estimated that there are 15,153,100 publishing scientists (distinct author identifiers) in the period 1996–2011. However, only 150,608 (<1%) of them have published something in each and every year in this 16-year period (uninterrupted, continuous presence [UCP] in the literature). This small core of scientists with UCP are far more cited than others, and they account for 41.7% of all papers in the same period and 87.1% of all papers with >1000 citations in the same period. Skipping even a single year substantially affected the average citation impact. We also studied the birth and death dynamics of membership in this influential UCP core, by imputing and estimating UCP-births and UCP-deaths. We estimated that 16,877 scientists would qualify for UCP-birth in 1997 (no publication in 1996, UCP in 1997–2012) and 9,673 scientists had their UCP-death in 2010. The relative representation of authors with UCP was enriched in Medical Research, in the academic sector and in Europe/North America, while the relative representation of authors without UCP was enriched in the Social Sciences and Humanities, in industry, and in other continents. Conclusions: The proportion of the scientific workforce that maintains a continuous uninterrupted stream of publications each and every year over many years is very limited, but it accounts for the lion’s share of researchers with high citation impact. The aim of this bibliometric analysis is to evaluate the research productivity at the Department of Library and Information Science, Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak from 2015 to 2022. The study analyzed bibliometric data of papers published in Korea Citation Index (KCI) and Web of Science (WoS) journals from 2002 to 2021. After examining size differences of KCI and WoS domains in the number of authors, institutions, and journals to put publication and citations counts in perspective, the study investigated co-authorship patterns over time to compare collaboration trends of Korean and international scholars and analyzed the data at author, institution, and journal levels to explore how the influences of authors, institutions, and journals on research output differ across domains. The study also conducted frequencybased analysis of keywords to identify key topics and visualized keyword clusters to examine topic trends. The result showed Korean LIS authors to be twice as productive as international authors but much less impactful and Korean institutions to be at comparable levels of productivity and impact in contrast to much of productivity and impact concentrated in top international institutions. Citations to journals exhibited initially increasing pattern followed by a decreasing trend though WoS journals showed far more variance than KCI journals. Co-authorship trends were much more pronounced among international publication, where larger collaboration groups suggested multi-disciplinary and complex nature of international LIS research. Keyword analysis found continuing diversification of topics in international research compared to relatively static topic trend in Korea. Keyword visualization showed WoS keyword clusters to be much denser and diverse than KCI clusters. The article focuses on the state of information science and scientometrics (ISS) analysis studies in India from 2005-2009. The author's study focused on analyzing bibliographic details of documents on ISS, which were obtained from the 2005-2009 issues of the journal "Indian Science Abstracts." He found that journals were the most important of publication in information science and scientometrics and that there was a strong trend of multi-authored papers during the given period. He also revealed that Karnataka was the source of majority of the papers on ISS with Tamil Nadu and Delhi trailing behind.

This research aimed to specify research trends in Library and Information Science (LIS) from 2011 to 2020 and hot papers in this field from July 2020 to July 2021 in the Web of Science (WoS) database. This research was of the type applied, scientometric, and descriptive. The study population was all articles in the field of LIS from 2011 to July 2021. The WoS database was used to collect data. To determine the research trend in the field of LIS, the results were limited to 2011-2020, and to determine the hot papers, this period was limited to July 2020 to July 2021. The data were analyzed using the word co-occurrence technique and social network analysis. UCINET, NetDraw, and VOSviewer software were used to draw scientific maps and identify central subjects and people. "Social media" with 259 and "qualitative" with 53 were the keywords with the highest and lowest frequencies, respectively. Library and emerging technologies (106), citation analysis, scientometrics and webometrics (58), electronic information, information security, and protection (56) were three significant topic clusters in the studied area.
