This study aims to examine the approach in teaching practice to "muallaf" (Muslim indigenous people: "orang asli") and the factors of attraction toward the acceptance of Islamic understanding among them. The study was conducted at the village of "muallaf orang asli" at Paya Sendayan, Temerloh Pahang, Malaysia. Design of this study are using the qualitative methods. Data were collected by observation and selected informant interviews based on purposive sampling methods. Data were analysed using the thematic methods. The results of the study found that the approach in teaching practice to "muallaf orang asli" is "syarah" (explanation) and discussion presented through storytelling, stimulation method and "talaqqi musyafahah" (face to face). Meanwhile, the results of the attraction factors toward the acceptance of teaching and learning among "muallaf orang asli" are aspect of reward, facilities, understanding and skills of teachers or educators for the socio-culture and role model shown by teachers or educators as well as the Muslim community nearby the living community. The findings of this study show that the teaching and learning of "muallaf orang asli" should be organized systematically in line with the factors of attraction in order to increase interest and earnestly.

Water is at the core for achieving all 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs). The current study was performed for the appraisal and modeling of the vulnerability of regional aquifers to anthropogenic perturbations. Samples of water were examined to determine their physical and chemical properties. pH of groundwater varied from a value of 7.08 to a value of 8.46. Total dissolved solids (TDS) varied from 1048‒1580 mgL-1. Results revealed that 79% of Ca2+, 47.3 % of Mg2+, and 100% of Na+ and Cl‒ in water samples exceeded the standard permissible limits. The Aquifer Vulnerability Index (AVI) revealed that Neogene aquifer was categorized as high vulnerability to extremely high vulnerability class to risk of contamination. AVI Index method was also performed for the other major aquifers demonstrating that Dammam aquifer was categorized in the high vulnerability class, Er Radhuma and Aruma categorized as moderately vulnerable to contamination. This study demonstrated an integrated model to help investigate the vulnerability of regional aquifers and highlighted the need for continuous monitoring campaigns to investigate the effects of anthropogenic activities on aquifers to make timely and effective decisions

Abstract Independent control of electromagnetic (EM) waves by metasurfaces for multiple tasks are highly desired and is the recent hot topic of research. In this work we contribute a polarization insensitive frequency multiplexed 2-bit coding metasurface to control the Terahertz (THz) waves in the two operating bands independently. In this regard, as a first step a cascaded meta-atom composed of square rings and/or square metallic patches separated by two polyimide substrates is designed and optimized that provides sixteen independent distinct discrete phases in the reflection geometry. These meta-atoms are then distributed with distinct coding sequences in the two-dimensional spatial plane to realize various bi-functional metasurfaces. As a proof of the concept various full structures are designed and simulated to realize a series of bi-functionalities including anomalous reflection/beam shaping, beam shaping/anomalous reflection, beam deflection/Orbital angular momentum (OAM) beam generation with distinct modes and propagating wave to surface wave (PW–SW) conversion/PW beam manipulation in the lower and higher THz bands, respectively. All the simulation results are in excellent agreement with their theoretical equivalents. We envision that the proposed meta-designs have potential applications for the multi-spectral control of EM waves in THz band. The idea can be further extended to design frequency dependent tri-functional and multi-functional THz meta-devices.

Abstract Metro trains have non-linear load characteristics, which means that the power sent to them gets distorted. Problems are caused by changes in power, swells, harmonics, and other disturbances. In this research, an artificial intelligence-driven control method was used on a unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) to help reduce power quality problems and improve power quality. Three advanced control methods are built and compared using MATLAB Simulink. Some of these methods are the ANN Controller, the NARMA-L2 Controller, and the PI Controller, improved using the Adaptive Lizard Algorithm. The controls' usefulness is judged by how well they lower the total harmonic distortion (THD) in the source current. The results show that all three AI-based controls work much better than the system that was not paid for. The ANN Controller works the best, followed by the NARMA-L2 Controller, and the PI Controller improved with the Adaptive Lizard Algorithm. These AI-driven control methods can enhance power quality and ensure that metro rail systems run smoothly and efficiently, as shown by how well they work. Modern transportation networks need more advanced ways to handle power quality, and this research helps make those solutions come together.

Purpose This study examined the effect of the risk-free rate of return and other macroeconomic variables on the stock prices of firms listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange-100 (PSX). Methodology The data from 2013 to 2023 was collected from the Karachi Stock Exchange website, Yahoo Finance, and the State Bank of Pakistan’s website. The main techniques for data analysis were Johansen-Juselius (J.J.) cointegration and the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). Findings The findings show that a risk-free rate significantly impacts stock returns in the long run. Further, foreign direct investment (FDI) has a significant positive impact on the stock return of listed companies. The cointegration result indicates a long-run association among all the selected variables. Moreover, the results of the VECM show that the error correction term (ECT) in VECM (-1) is negative (-0.150) and significant. The negative coefficient of 0.150 indicates that deviations from the long-run equilibrium will be corrected at a speed of 15% per period, approximately within 7 months. Conclusion The study concludes that stock prices and macroeconomic indicators have long-run associations. Conversely, changes in the risk-free rate of return by the government or the banking sector have the opposite effect on stock prices. This study assists government officials, stock market participants, and policymakers in determining the profitability of the National Savings Scheme and Banks.

Abstract To improve the efficacy of organic solar cells (OSCs), novel small acceptor molecules (CTD1–CTD7) were designed by modification at the terminal acceptors of reference compound CTR. The optoelectronic properties of the investigated compounds (CTD1–CTD7) were accomplished by employing density functional theory (DFT) in combination with time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT). The M06 functional along with a 6-311G(d,p) basis set was utilized for calculating various parameters such as: frontier molecular orbitals (FMO), absorption maxima (λ max), binding energy (E b), transition density matrix (TDM), density of states (DOS), and open circuit voltage (V oc ) of entitled chromophores. A red shift in the absorption spectra of all designed chromophores (CTD1–CTD7) was observed as compared to CTR, accompanied by low excitation energy. Particularly, CTD4 was characterized by the highest λ max value of 685.791 nm and the lowest transition energy value of 1.801 eV which might be ascribed to the robust electron-withdrawing end-capped acceptor group. The observed reduced binding energy (Eb) was linked to an elevated rate of exciton dissociation and substantial charge transfer from central core in HOMO towards terminal acceptors in LUMO. These results were further supported by the outcomes from TDM and DOS analyses. Among all entitled chromophores, CTD4 exhibited bathochromic shift (685.791 nm), minimum HOMO/LUMO band gap of 2.347 eV with greater CT. Thus, it can be concluded that by employing molecular engineering with efficient acceptor moieties, the efficiency of photovoltaic materials could be improved.

Since the advent of deep learning (DL), the field has witnessed a continuous stream of innovations. However, the translation of these advancements into practical applications has not kept pace, particularly in safety-critical domains where artificial intelligence (AI) must meet stringent regulatory and ethical standards. This is underscored by the ongoing research in eXplainable AI (XAI) and privacy-preserving machine learning (PPML), which seek to address some limitations associated with these opaque and data-intensive models. Despite brisk research activity in both fields, little attention has been paid to their interaction. This work is the first to thoroughly investigate the effects of privacy-preserving techniques on explanations generated by common XAI methods for DL models. A detailed experimental analysis is conducted to quantify the impact of private training on the explanations provided by DL models, applied to six image datasets and five time series datasets across various domains. The analysis comprises three privacy techniques, nine XAI methods, and seven model architectures. The findings suggest non-negligible changes in explanations through the implementation of privacy measures. Apart from reporting individual effects of PPML on XAI, the paper gives clear recommendations for the choice of techniques in real applications. By unveiling the interdependencies of these pivotal technologies, this research marks an initial step toward resolving the challenges that hinder the deployment of AI in safety-critical settings.

The purpose of the paper is to uncover more advanced soliton solutions for the three-component Sawada–Kotera (SK)-like equation. The Hirota bilinear (HB) method is exploited to obtain a bilinear form and general solution to the three-component SK like equation. The study explores various soliton solutions by considering multiple dispersion coefficients. The focus is on multiple bifurcated solitons, hybrid breathers, periodic lumps, and periodic rogue waves, as well as the resonance in soliton solutions. The fission or fusion processes of solitons are analyzed for specific values of parameters. From the literature, real Y-shaped and X-shaped solitons in water waves are provided. The results are presented through graphs generated using MATLAB 2021. The important feature of the proposed study is to show different behavior of the soliton in each component. The behavior of solitons, their interactions, and their transformations are all governed by the fundamental concept of energy conservation in all three cases. The amplitudes and forms of the solitons are impacted by the energy redistribution that occurs during collisions, fission, or other interactions. Understanding these energy dynamics aids in predicting how these nonlinear wave events would behave in complex systems and sheds light on the fundamental physics of these phenomena.

Divorce mediation carried out outside the court (community) and within court, institutions has yet to be effective even though the government has issued a Supreme Court Regulation regarding mediation in court. The achievement of mediation success, which is still below 5%, has encouraged the Supreme Court to add an article on good faith (article 7, Supreme Court Regulation No. 1 of 2016) as a principle of mediation and the threat of sanctions for parties who do not have good faith. This study aims to reveal how the good faith clause is implemented in resolving divorce conflicts through mediation and sanctions for parties who do not act in good faith at the Pekalongan Religious Court. The data mining method was carried out through interviews with mediators, mediator judges at the Pekalongan Religious Court area, parties to the conflict, and experts in the field of mediation. Data mining was carried out through observational and documentation of domestic conflict studies. The collected data was analyzed through descriptive analysis. This paper concludes that (1) the principles of mediation have not been fully carried out in good faith in resolving divorce conflicts through mediation outside the court, so mediation fails and results in the neglect of protracted conflict issues, (2) mediation in the majority of courts lack of success due to internal and external factors, and (3) the mediator or mediator judge experiences difficulties in implementing sanctions against parties who do not have good intentions in resolving family conflicts. This research recommends that outsied of the court mediation be carried out by professional mediators who support the success of the mediation process in the justice system.

Abstract Objective To determine the relationship of Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR), Monocyte Lymphocyte Ratio (MLR), and Neutrophil Monocyte Ratio (NMR) with treatment response in Pulmonary Tuberculosis (PTB) patients during intensive phase treatment (IPT). Methods This analytical cross-sectional study was conducted at Ojha Institute of Chest Diseases (OICD), Dow University of Health Sciences, from February to December 2021. 100 patients were enrolled using purposive sampling technique. Both male and female of age 18 and above, rifampicin sensitive newly diagnosed cases of PTB by Acid Fast Bacilli (AFB) microscopy and Gene Xpert MTB/RIF were included. SPSS version 26 was used to analyze data. Numerical data was expressed in median and interquartile range and categorical data was expressed in frequencies and percentages. Results Out of total 100 patients, 81% (n = 81) showed treatment response with negative AFB Sputum Smear Microscopy (SSM) after 2nd month. Out of 81% (n = 81) of the patients who achieved treatment response, 83.9% (n = 68) also had decreased NLR, 85.2% (n = 69) had decreased MLR and 83.9% (n = 68) had decreased NMR from baseline. However 19% (n = 19) did not achieved treatment response with positive AFB SSM after 2nd month of ATT (Anti tuberculosis treatment), among them 10.52% (n = 2) were INH resistant with no decrease in all the ratios after 2nd month. Conclusion Leukocyte ratios decreased significantly from baseline as PTB was treated in patients who achieved treatment response with negative AFB SSM after two months of ATT and hence these ratios could be used as markers to monitor the treatment response.

Fetus in fetu is a rare congenital anomaly in which a malformed parasitic twin is found within the body of a living child or adult. In this case report, a 1-day-old child presented with a large firm abdominal mass on the left side of the upper abdomen. Imaging studies misdiagnosed the mass as an intraperitoneal benign dermoid cyst displacing the bowel loops and internal viscera. A surgical resection was performed on 21 days of life, and pathology confirmed eight fetuses inside the cyst.

Abstract This study investigates the role of financial frictions on firm value within the framework of earnings management, including the impact of productivity growth. In contrast to prior studies, the present study employed an autoregressive model to examine the temporal dynamics of the variables to determine their short-term and long-term connection patterns. The results of the study indicate a negative association between financial frictions and firm value. Accrual earnings management, a practice employed by organizations to enhance their profit margins, serves as a mediator between financial frictions and firm value. This mediation of earnings management alleviates the adverse impact of financial frictions. The enhancement of productivity growth amplifies the conditional, indirect influence of earnings management. Moreover, this study reveals that financial frictions have a significant influence in the short-term, leading to overestimation of factor loadings. However, this impact stabilizes over time in the long run. Financial market frictions have the most prominent impact on firm value compared to the other two forms of frictions, namely, macroeconomic frictions and microeconomic frictions. Larger firms are more inclined to attain higher firm value than smaller enterprises. Managers can enhance firm value by exerting control over the influence of financial frictions in the economy through earnings management. The effectiveness of this strategy is contingent upon the level of productivity growth.

BACKGROUND: The current study was initiated to evaluate the comparability of fetomaternal hemorrhage (FMH) measurement using flow cytometry (FCM) and Kleihauer–Betke test (KBT) and also to evaluate the validity of the current anti-D immunoglobulin doses for the prevention of hemolytic disease of the newborn in Duhok/Iraq. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The current study included 101 pregnant women with Rh(D)-negative blood group who had Rh (D)-positive husbands. Their blood was tested for blood groping, FMH by FCM and KBT, and indirect Coombs test, 1 h following sensitizing events and 72 h after giving anti-D. Furthermore, blood from newborns was examined for blood group and direct Coombs test. RESULTS: The main sensitizing event was parturition (62.4%) followed by cesarean section (32.7%). The indirect Coombs was positive in 32 cases while the direct Coombs test was positive in 19 cases. In 63.4% of cases, the ABO blood groups were incompatible between mothers and their babies. When FMH was checked by KBT method, it was found that 16 (15.8%) participants had FMH ranging 1.2–51 mL (median 4.35 mL), while FMH was positive in 27 (26.7%) participants by FCM method ranging 1.2–54.4 ml (median 9.5 mL). About 4–5 patients had FMH (measured by KBT and FCM, respectively) of >12 mL and only 1% had a volume of >30 mL. The difference between KBT and FCM for FMH measurement was statistically significant with P < 0.001 when assessed by paired t-test and has a highly significant positive correlation with each other. The correlation of FMH was statistically significant with maternal gravidity, number of anti-D received before (moderate positive correlation), gestational age, and newborn hemoglobin (negative correlation). However, the correlation was not significant between FMH and the following factors: maternal parity, maternal hematological parameters, and ABO compatibility of mother and their babies with P > 0.05. CONCLUSION: Inadequate doses of anti-D had been given previously that resulted in sensitization in at least one-quarter of the cases, and this necessitated proper measurement of FMH in all Rh (D) mothers following sensitizing events.

Drilling is a widely employed technique in machining processes, crucial for efficient material removal. However, when applied to living tissues, its invasiveness must be carefully considered. This study investigates drilling processes on polyurethane foam blocks mimicking human bone mechanical properties. Various drill bit types (118° twist, 135° twist, spherical, and conical), drilling speeds (1000–1600 rpm), and feed rates (20–80 mm/min) were examined to assess temperature elevation during drilling. The Taguchi method facilitated systematic experiment design and optimization. Signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio and analysis of variance (ANOVA) identified significant drilling parameters affecting temperature rise. Validation was conducted through confirmation testing. Results indicate that standard twist drill bits with smaller point angles, lower drilling speeds, and higher feed rates effectively minimize temperature elevation during drilling.

Objective: To determine the correlation between SARS-CoV-2 antibody titers and viral load in vaccine breakthrough infections. Study Design: Cross-sectional analytical study. Place and Duration of Study: Department of Virology, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Rawalpindi Pakistan, from Nov 2021 to May 2022. Methodology: Three hundred and thirty-seven patients admitted at the Pak Emirates Military Hospital, who had completed the entire course of the inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccination and developed COVID-19, at least 14 days from the second dose were selected. Specimens for the viral load of SARS-CoV-2 were taken from posterior nasopharyngeal swabs and serum for anti-Spike antibodies. Viral load in the specimens were estimated using reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction. Meanwhile, antibodies level against the SARS-CoV-2 surface spike protein receptor binding domain were assessed using COBAS e411 Electrochemiluminescence. Results: Two hundred and thirty-two (69%) patients were male, while 104(31%) were female. Age, Cycle Threshold value and antibody titers data were normally distributed. Mean age (in years) of participants was 41.83±15.35 (range 18-65). Mean Cycle Threshold value was 23.79±5.49 (range 13.3–35), while mean anti-Spike IgG titers was 165.29±84.62 (range 12–250). Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) was 0.023 with a 95% CI [-0.08, 0.13] and p-value >0.05, indicating no correlation between Cycle Threshold values and antibody titers. Conclusion: No correlation was found between viral load and anti-spike antibody among patients presenting with breakthrough infections following vaccination with an inactivated vaccine.

Seasonal vegetables play a crucial role in both nutrition and commerce in Bangladesh. Recognizing this significance, our research introduces the 'SeasVeg' dataset, comprising images of ten varieties of seasonal vegetables sourced from Dhaka and Pabna regions. These include Carica papaya, Momordica dioica, Abelmoschus esculentus, Lablab purpureus, Trichosanthes cucumerina, Trichosanthes dioica, Solanum lycopersicum, Brassica oleracea, Momordica charantia, and Raphanus sativus. Our dataset encompasses 4500 images, 1500 original and 3000 augmented, meticulously captured under natural light conditions to ensure authenticity. While our primary focus lies in leveraging machine learning and deep learning techniques for advancements in agriculture science, particularly in aiding healthcare aspects with seasonal vegetables and nutrition's, we acknowledge the versatile utility of our dataset. Beyond healthcare, it serves as a valuable educational resource, facilitating children's and toddlers' learning to identify these vital vegetables. This dual functionality broadens the dataset's appeal and underscores its societal impact beyond the realm of healthcare. Besides, the research culminates in the implementation of machine learning models, achieving noteworthy accuracy. We get the highest 99 % accuracy with the ResNet50 pre-trained CNN model and a good 94 % accuracy with the InceptionV3 pre-trained CNN model when it comes to the computer-aided vegetable classification. However, the 'SeasVeg' dataset represents not only a significant stride in healthcare innovation but also a promising tool for educational endeavors, catering to diverse stakeholders and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

Microplastics (MPs) pose one of the major environmental threats to marine organisms and ecosystems on a global scale. The present study investigated MPs in surface water, beach sediments, and fish in two coastal areas of Bangladesh namely Cox's Bazar and Kuakata. The MPs were identified and characterized using three different techniques, including the binocular microscope, the ATR-FTIR (Attenuated Total Reflectance-Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), and SEM-EDS (Scanning Electron Microscopy- Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy). The number of MPs in seawater was 10.1 ± 3.10 and 8.52 ± 3.92 items/100 L and in beach sediment, 13.2 ± 3.68 and 9.48 ± 3.63 items/100 g in Cox's Bazar and Kuakata, respectively. In fish samples, the abundance of MPs was 7.82 ± 1.28 and 6.82 ± 1.87 items/individual species of Cox's Bazar and Kuakata, respectively, where the highest quantities of MP were found in Euthynnus affinisand Sillago sihama and the lowest in Terapon jarbua and Pampus chinensisin Cox's Bazar and Kuakata, respectively. The number of MPs in GITs (Gastrointestinal tracts) was 1.63 ± 0.991 and 1.25 ± 0.546 items/g GIT and in BW (Body Weight) were 0.042 ± 0.014 and 0.037 ± 0.014 items/g BW in Cox's Bazar and Kuakata, respectively. There revealed a positive correlation between MP abundance and GIT weight and body weight in fish species. MPs were predominantly fiber-shaped, white/transparent, and small size. The most common MP polymers were polyethylene and polypropylene. SEM images of MPs demonstrate surface roughness, cracks, mechanical weathering and oxidative weathering, demonstrating their ongoing environmental exposure. The EDS spectrum unearthed that the MPs contained several elements (C, N, O, Na, Al, Fe, and Si). Findings from this study might be useful in coastal plastic particle management and to mitigate the potential risks associated with them.

Penyemat pembicara adalah vektor yang terbukti efektif dalam merepresentasikan karakteristik pembicara sehingga menghasilkan akurasi yang tinggi dalam ranah pengenalan pembicara. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penerapan x-vectors sebagai penyemat pembicara pada sistem identifikasi pembicara berbahasa Indonesia yang menggunakan model speaker identification. Model dibangun dengan menggunakan dataset VoxCeleb sebagai data latih dan dataset INF19 sebagai data uji yang dikumpulkan dari suara mahasiswa dan mahasiswi Informatika Universitas Syiah Kuala angkatan 2019. Fitur-fitur yang digunakan diekstrak dari dataset audio dengan menggunakan dua jenis konfigurasi mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC). Untuk membangun model, fitur-fitur diekstrak dengan menggunakan MFCC, dihitung voice activity detection (VAD), dilakukan augmentasi dan normalisasi fitur menggunakan cepstral mean and variance normalization (CMVN) serta dilakukan filtering. Sedangkan proses pengujian model hanya membutuhkan fitur-fitur yang diekstrak dengan menggunakan MFCC dan dihitung VAD. Selanjutnya, dibangun empat model dengan cara mengombinasikan dua jenis konfigurasi MFCC dan dua jenis arsitektur Deep Neural Network (DNN) yang memanfaatkan Time Delay Neural Network (TDNN). Model terbaik dipilih berdasarkan akurasi tertinggi yang dihitung menggunakan metrik equal error rate (EER) dan durasi ekstraksi x-vectors tersingkat dari keempat model. Nilai EER dari model yang terbaik untuk dataset VoxCeleb1 bagian test sebesar 3,51%, inf19_test_td sebesar 1,3%, dan inf19_test_tid sebesar 1,4%. Durasi ekstraksi x-vectors menggunakan model terbaik untuk dataset data train berdurasi 6 jam 42 menit 39 detik, VoxCeleb1 bagian test berdurasi 2 menit 24 detik, inf19_enroll berdurasi 18 detik, inf19_test_td berdurasi 25 detik, dan inf19_test_tid berdurasi 9 detik. Arsitektur DNN kedua dan konfigurasi MFCC kedua yang telah dirancang menghasilkan model yang lebih kecil, akurasi yang lebih baik terutama untuk dataset pembicara berbahasa Indonesia, dan durasi ekstraksi x-vectors yang lebih singkat.

This paper focuses on the contribution of Asghar Ali Engineer’s services, views and his methodology of liberation and emancipation of human beings from unreasonable shackles of religious restraints through dialogue, as the best method for liberation from all sorts of sufferings and troubles, with the references to modern Quranic exegesis and the traditions of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He contributed in praxis for the settlement of socio-religious and communal issues and had the vision to reduce the disputes and differences of such clashes through dialogue. He argues that the Quran condemns the superiority of one’s race and faith, and it determines to liberate people from injustice, oppression, and inequality. He concludes that the message of the Quran is, first, to liberate people from suffering, and second to build the good relations with other people of faiths. The Quran, according to Engineer, suggests that there is no compulsion in religion, he openly invites for dialogue to understand and respect each other to build communal, cultural and religious harmony and peaceful coexistence.

This work aimed to investigate the low velocity impact behaviour of short jute fibre non-woven preform epoxy matrix composites experimentally. Dry fibre preforms were developed using an optimised process and a laboratory made preforming device. The effects of alkali and poly vinyl alcohol (PVA binder) treatments on impact performances of jute composites were investigated and compared at 3 J and 6 J impact energy levels. To identify the failure modes of tested composites, the X-ray µCT tomography was employed. The results demonstrated that the developed untreated short jute fibre preform reinforced composites absorbed a higher impact energy, when they were compared to treated (alkali or PVA binder) composites. For untreated composites, maximum impact forces at 3 J and 6 J energies, were found as ⁓2478 N and ⁓2319 N, respectively; for the PVA treatment these values were measured as ⁓2457 N and ⁓2216 N, while, at same energy levels, alkali treated composites showed the lowest values as ⁓1683 N and ⁓1440 N, respectively. Untreated jute fibre contains natural matrices such as hemicellulose, lignin and waxes, which ensured a positive response to absorb more energy upon impact loading. In contrast, the alkali treatment facilitates a highly fibre packed composite structure, which accelerated the impact crack propagation in tested composites, resulting in lower resistance to impact energy. Although, PVA treated composites showed reduced impact properties compared to untreated composites due to the PVA polymer brittleness on the treated fibre surface during the impact incidents, this treatment demonstrated better impact responses over the alkali treatment. The application of PVA binder on alkali-treated fibres provided an extra support to fibres and a better fibre/matrix interface and hence, this combined treatment demonstrated a slightly better impact resistance (⁓2027 N and ⁓1874 N impact forces at 3 J and 6 J respectively) compared to only alkali treated fibre composites. The SEM fracture images and the X-ray µCT damage analysis revealed different impact damage modes, which supported the observed impact results. The obtained results from this investigation could be helpful for using short jute fibre composites in various load demanding applications where impact incidents are likely to be happened.

IntroductionThe telehealth service increased attention both during and after the Covid-19 outbreak. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of research in developing countries, including Pakistan. Hence, the objective of this study was to examine telehealth service quality dimensions to promote the telehealth behavior intention and sustainable growth of telehealth in Pakistan.MethodsThis study employed a cross-sectional descriptive design. Data were collected from doctors who were delivering telehealth services through a well-designed questionnaire. To examine the hypothesis of the study, we employed the Smart PLS structural equation modeling program, namely version 0.4.ResultsThe study findings indicate that medical service quality, affordability, information quality, waiting time, and safety have a positive impact on the intention to engage in telehealth behavior. Furthermore, the adoption of telehealth behavior has a significant favorable effect on the actual utilization of telehealth services, which in turn has a highly good impact on sustainable development.ConclusionThe study determined that telehealth services effectively decrease the amount of time and money spent on travel, while still offering convenient access to healthcare. Furthermore, telehealth has the potential to revolutionize payment methods, infrastructure, and staffing in the healthcare industry. Implementing a well-structured telehealth service model can yield beneficial results for a nation and its regulatory efforts in the modern age of technology.

The study was conducted to evaluate the effect of Lisovit supplementation and compare efficacy of different routes of vaccination on immunity against ND in Uni Gold birds. 180 UniGold adult birds (36th to 40th week of age) were randomly divided into 12 groups having 15 birds in each group (6 groups of male and female birds). Group A, C, E, G, I and L were given lisovit @ 200mg/kg of body weight. Group C, D, J and J were vaccinated through oral route (drinking water). Group E, F, K and L were vaccinated through ocular route (eye drop). One day before before vaccination (0 day) geometric mean titer in group A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K and L, was 9.12, 18.19, 95.49, 18.19, 47.86, 41.68, 23.98, 31.62, 165.95, 36.3, 18.19 and 36.3 respectively. At 7th day GMT in these groups was 18.19, 12.02, 165.95, 144.54, 72.44, 47.86, 41.68, 23.98, 144.54, 125.89, 380.18 and 218.77 respectively. At 30th day GMT in these groups was 36.3, 20.89, 288.4, 218.77, 218.77, 23.98, 83.17, 47.86, 125.89, 436.51, 190.54 and 144.54, respectively. At 45th day GMT in these group was 5.24, 12.02, 7.94, 31.62, 41.68, 13.8, 20.89, 54.95, 95.49, 54.95, 125.89 and 72.44, respectively. At 0 day the ELISA mean titer value in group B, E, H and L was 1378.4, 6083.4, 7127.6 and 6910.0 respectively. At 7th day ELISA titer in these group was 1981.4, 6346.5, 1285.8 and 10051.6 respectively. At 30th day ELISA titer in these groups was 1650.2, 4155.2, 266.4 and 7487.6 respectively. At 45th day ELISA titers in these groups were 654.0, 2838.2, 1990.8 and 4597.4, respectively.

Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) have emerged as promising energy conversion devices, offering high efficiency and environmental sustainability. Efficient electrode materials are crucial for the overall cell performance of SOFCs. Perovskite type Nd1-xSrxMn0.5Cr0.5O3-δ (x = 0.25, 0.5) (NSCM25, NSCM50) was synthesized via conventional solid-state reaction technique. Structural, thermal and electrochemical characterizations were performed using X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, conductivity measurements, scanning electron microscope, thermal expansion coefficient analysis and impedance spectroscopy. Structural analysis revealed that both compositions exhibit orthorhombic symmetry in the Pbnm space group. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) indicated minimal weight changes in both pre-reduced and as-prepared samples. The electrical conductivities in air at 600 ℃ were found to be 1.69 S/cm for NSCM25 and 4.91 S/cm for NSCM50, with a decrease observed under reduced oxygen partial pressure. Polarization resistance (Rp) analysis was conducted on symmetrical cells composed of NSCM25|GDC|NSCM25, NSCM50|GDC|NSCM50, NSCM25|YSZ|NSCM25, and NSCM50|YSZ|NSCM50. At 900 ℃, the polarization resistances were 0.12 Ωcm2, 0.21 Ωcm2, 0.11 Ωcm2, and 0.67 Ωcm2, respectively. The results suggest that NSCM25 and NSCM50 hold promise as electrode materials for symmetrical solid oxide fuel cells (SSOFC) employing YSZ or GDC electrolyte.
