The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of variety-seeking (VS) intention arising from mobile phone usage on students' academic performance (AP). The study identified how students are affected by mobile phone usage, revealing in particular an increased social networking-usage tendency among younger students and how students are continually enthralled by and attracted to VS, which affects their AP. Data were collected from five major universities in Bangladesh via a questionnaire (311 valid responses from 322 completed questionnaires). The methodology adopted was based on multiple theoretical frameworks including technology acceptance model, information systems (ISs) continuance theory, social cognitive theory, and ISs success model. Results from structural equation modelling revealed that VS tendency, arising from mobile phone usage, has a strong positive relationship with AP. The study also highlights theoretical and practical implications for university students, academicians, education managers, and educational policymakers.

This article investigates the effects of online convenience and shopping experience on consumer satisfaction and future purchase decisions by applying a different view to explain the customers' increasing experience with online shopping in the Chinese growing market. Data from 226 Chinese consumers used to buy online are used to analyze the proposed research model through Partial Least Squares Structural Path Modeling. The findings show that the intention to purchase is enhanced by customer satisfaction and shopping experiences and that satisfaction plays a mediating role in these relationships. Additionally, the results show that search and post-possession dimensions have the most influence on online shopping convenience. In contrast, access (ACC), transaction (TRA), and possession (POS) convenience have an indirect negative impact on future purchase intention. The findings offer actionable guidance to online retailers wanting to enhance customer satisfaction and promote future purchase intentions by helping retailers who are doing business or planning to do business online in China. Offering additional suggestions on how to foster online satisfaction, the study's conclusions help improve the effectiveness of e-commerce strategy. This paper provides insight into the business case of corporate social responsibility (CSR) at Columbia Garments Limited in Bangladesh. Therefore, the study analyses how CSR practices have resulted in an increased financial and nonfinancial performance of this factory. Qualitative data were collected from primary sources through observation and in‐depth interview with the key person who is directly involved with CSR planning and implementation in the company. Secondary data were collected from annual reports, books, articles, periodicals of different domestic, and international agencies. Based on these considerations, a questionnaire and an interview were used as data collection methods. The result showed that the overall cost of the organization increased because of CSR implementation, but the company benefited financially in the long run through reduced labor turnover rate, increased workers' efficiency, increased audit quality, enhanced productivity, and motivated employees. Depression, a multifactorial neuronal disorder with high morbidity/mortality, is associated with psychological, psychosocial, hereditary, and environmental etiologies, where reactive species exert pathophysiological functions. Anacardic acid (AA), a natural compound obtained from cashew nut liquid, has several pharmacological activities, including antioxidant and anticonvulsant. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the antidepressant-like effect of AA and the involvement of serotonergic, noradrenergic, and L-arginine-nitric oxide (NO) in tail suspension and forced swim tests and, more so, to investigate its antioxidant effect in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and in male Swiss mice (n = 8). In order to identify the antidepressant mechanisms, AA (10, 25, or 50 mg/kg, p.o.) was given 30 min before clonidine (2-adrenergic receptor agonist), L-arginine (NO precursor), propranolol (β-adrenergic receptor antagonist), and several other agonists or antagonists used. On the other hand, clonidine, noradrenoreceptor, noradrenaline, and L-arginine were used to identify the antidepressant mechanisms. Results suggest that AA exerts antidepressant-like activity, especially at higher doses, possibly by inhibiting serotonin and 5HT-1A reuptake receptors and by inhibiting NO synthetase and guanylyl cyclase enzymes. Additionally, AA exhibited antioxidant effect in S. cerevisiae. This antioxidant capacity may be linked to its antidepressant-like effect but does not interact with α- and β-adrenoceptor receptors. Introduction: Inflammation, endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis are associated with the aetiopathogenesis of Coronary Artery Ectasia (CAE). The Neutrophil to Lymphocyte (N/L) ratio has emerged as a new inflammation marker for cardiovascular disease. Aim: To assess the association between the CAE and the N/L ratio. Materials and Methods: A total of 179 patients with isolated CAE, Obstructive Coronary Artery Disease (O-CAD) and normal coronaries (controls) were enrolled. Clinical characteristics and pattern of ectatic involvement were seen. N/L ratio values were compared between the three groups using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Results: Study findings showed that the patients with isolated CAE had significantly elevated N/L ratio values compared to O-CAD and control groups (2.63�36 vs. 2.20�27, p<0.001 and vs. 1.93�24, p<0.001) respectively. Right Coronary Artery (RCA) was the most commonly involved ectatic artery (64.2%). Single vessel ectasia (44.6%) and Type IV (32.1%) were the most common pattern of involvement. Conclusion: In present study, we found that patients with isolated CAE had a significantly higher WBC count and N/L ratio than patients with O-CAD and control groups. Syphilis is an infectious disease which occurs through a series of frequently overlapping stages. It can impair the cardiovascular and neurological systems. In approximately 30% of non-treated patients, syphilis develops its tertiary form. We report a case of a 41-year male patient admitted due to acute coronary syndrome presented as unstable angina. Coronary angiography showed a 100% ostial lesion of left main coronary artery and 90% occlusion of the right coronary artery ostium. Subsequent Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) scan showed prominent thickening of the aortic wall. The Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL) test was titrated to 1/16. The article investigates the effects of water on the crystallization of poly(L-lactide-co-E-caprolactone) (P(LLA-CL)) at 37°centigrade (C) in phosphate buffered solution. The study showed that the crystallinity of P(LLA-CL) in the presence of water rapidly increased between 6 to 12 hours. The researchers concluded that the period of time for the initial rapid crystallization increase in the presence of water was shorter than that in the absence of water.

The delivery of products to the end consumer has been widely considered in the e-commerce sector as new challenges to reach customers and provide them with timely and efficient delivery have surfaced. Less focus has been given to information about delivery efficiency that impacts online shoppers' relations with e-retailers. This study's research model builds on the extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT-2) by adding the critical e-commerce variables of delivery efficiency, cost-saving efficiency, and online purchase experience (shopping satisfaction and subsequent willingness to pay). The conceptual model was tested, and samples were collected using an online survey hosted on Google Forms using e-mail in Bangladesh. The findings show that consumers' willingness to pay is enhanced by satisfaction with online shopping and delivery efficiency. The study also contributes insights into how cost-saving efficiency affects online customer satisfaction and the intention to repurchase. Also, by applying hierarchical regression analysis, this study contributes to understanding how e-retailers can provide a functional online experience for customers. Finally, our findings offer guidelines to e-retailers regarding increasing shopping satisfaction, the intention to repurchase, and the willingness to pay more. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
