Oral myiasis, caused by the infestation of dipteran larvae, particularly Chrysomya bezziana, is a rare yet significant condition that poses challenges in its management. The infestation of live maggots in the oral cavity can lead to tissue destruction, secondary infections, and psychological distress. Prompt recognition and a multidisciplinary approach involving larvae removal, wound debridement, antibiotic therapy, oral hygiene education, and psychological support are essential in addressing this condition. In addition, addressing the underlying factors contributing to poor oral hygiene and infrequent dental care is crucial in preventing the recurrence of oral myiasis. This review underscores the importance of collaborative efforts among healthcare professionals, public health initiatives, and community education programs to raise awareness and promote preventive measures against oral myiasis caused by Chrysomya bezziana. Sports competitions and recreational activities are practiced by infants, kids, and teenagers for their physical and mental health. Unfortunately, engaging in sports increases the chance of suffering trauma to the mouth's delicate and hard tissues, including lacerations to the lips, various injuries to the gingiva, tongue, or mucosa, chipped, luxated, or avulsed teeth, maxillary or mandibular fractures. The importance of the dentistry profession in connection to the prevention of dental and other orofacial sporting injuries has increased due to the popularity of contact sports and the encouraging of participation at a young age. Inculcating the prevention, management, and treatment of oral and face injuries, sports dentistry is the newest and most promising area of dentistry. Dentists should make it a point to tell parents about the orofacial damage caused by sports and about the different preventive measures that are available. They should also have solid clinical understanding of sports-related dentofacial injuries. Avulsion and luxation account for upto 7.2% of injuries in the primary dentition. A range of treatment options are available that can help conserve the tooth after a traumatic episode. Following the traumatic loss of an anterior tooth it is important that an immediate replacement is provided in order to avoid esthetic, masticatory and phonetic difficulties and to maintain the edentulous space to avoid arch length discrepancy. The loss of an anterior tooth in a child or young adolescent may present a difficult prosthetic problem.3 This problem can be managed in several ways. In this article a fixed Groper's appliance was fabricated by using the patient's natural clinical crown from the avulsed teeth. Bioceramics have gained significant attention in dentistry due to their unique properties, including biocompatibility, osseointegration, and tissue regeneration. Therefore, it is of interest to report the various applications of bioceramics in dentistry, their advantages, limitations, and future considerations. Bio-ceramics such as zirconia and hydroxyapatite offer high biocompatibility and durability for dental application. They support bone integration for implants, resist wear, and mimic natural tooth aesthetics.
