Optimal dispatch in power systems is a complex mathematical model of nonlinear programming with many physical constraints, which is difficult to solve by conventional methods. Thus, intelligent algorithms are now viable options for resolving the nonlinear scheduling issues of microgrids. In this paper, we propose a double-layer optimization strategy based on the multi-point improved gray wolf algorithm (MPIGWO). The inner layer optimizes load profiles with time-of-use tariffs. The outer one achieves a fast search for the optimal solution and prevents getting stuck in a local optimum, which improves the gray wolf algorithm significantly. First, the Bernoulli map is used to randomly generate the initial population. Second, the efficiency of optimization can be improved by modifying the attenuation factor based on the Sin function and then updating the exact weight factor of the position to reasonably select the best position. Finally, an improved dimensional learning-based hunting (IDLH) search strategy is employed to determine the optimal solution. The numerical case study shows that the proposed double-layer optimization strategy can implement dynamic scheduling for distributed power sources while lowering the costs of economic operation and environmental protection significantly. The application of deep neural network has achieved remarkable success in object detection. However, the network structures should be still evolved consistently and tuned finely to acquire better performance. This gears to the continuous demands on high performance in those complex scenes, where multi-scale objects to be detected are located here and there. To this end, this paper proposes a network structure called Multi-Scale Coupled Attention (MSCA) under the framework of self-attention learning with methodologies of importance assessment. Architecturally, it consists of a Multi-Scale Coupled Channel Attention (MSCCA) module, and a Multi-Scale Coupled Spatial Attention (MSCSA) module. Specifically, the MSCCA module is developed to achieve the goal of self-attention learning linearly on the multi-scale channels. In parallel, the MSCSA module is constructed to achieve this goal nonlinearly on the multi-scale spatial grids. The MSCCA and MSSCA modules can be connected together into a sequence, which can be used as a plugin to develop end-to-end learning models for object detection. Finally, our proposed network is compared on two public datasets with 13 classical or state-of-the-art models, including the Faster R-CNN, Cascade R-CNN, RetinaNet, SSD, PP-YOLO, YOLO v3, YOLO v5, YOLO v7, YOLOX, DETR, conditional DETR, UP-DETR and FP-DETR. Background: Metabolic reprogramming and epigenetic alterations contribute to the aggressiveness of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Lactate-dependent histone modification is a new type of histone mark, which links glycolysis metabolite to the epigenetic process of lactylation. However, the role of histone lactylation in PDAC remains unclear. Methods: The level of histone lactylation in PDAC was identified by western blot and immunohistochemistry, and its relationship with the overall survival was evaluated using a Kaplan-Meier survival plot. The participation of histone lactylation in the growth and progression of PDAC was confirmed through inhibition of histone lactylation by glycolysis inhibitors or lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA) knockdown both in vitro and in vivo. The potential writers and erasers of histone lactylation in PDAC were identified by western blot and functional experiments. The potential target genes of H3K18 lactylation (H3K18la) were screened by CUT&Tag and RNA-seq analyses. The candidate target genes TTK protein kinase (TTK) and BUB1 mitotic checkpoint serine/threonine kinase B (BUB1B) were validated through ChIP-qPCR, RT-qPCR and western blot analyses. Next, the effects of these two genes in PDAC were confirmed by knockdown or overexpression. The interaction between TTK and LDHA was identified by Co-IP assay. Results: Histone lactylation, especially H3K18la level was elevated in PDAC, and the high level of H3K18la was associated with poor prognosis. The suppression of glycolytic activity by different kinds of inhibitors or LDHA knockdown contributed to the anti-tumor effects of PDAC in vitro and in vivo. E1A binding protein p300 (P300) and histone deacetylase 2 were the potential writer and eraser of histone lactylation in PDAC cells, respectively. H3K18la was enriched at the promoters and activated the transcription of mitotic checkpoint regulators TTK and BUB1B. Interestingly, TTK and BUB1B could elevate the expression of P300 which in turn increased glycolysis. Moreover, TTK phosphorylated LDHA at tyrosine 239 (Y239) and activated LDHA, and subsequently upregulated lactate and H3K18la levels. Conclusions: The glycolysis-H3K18la-TTK/BUB1B positive feedback loop exacerbates dysfunction in PDAC. These findings delivered a new exploration and significant inter-relationship between lactate metabolic reprogramming and epigenetic regulation, which might pave the way toward novel lactylation treatment strategies in PDAC therapy. In eukaryotic cells, heterochromatin is typically composed of tandem DNA repeats and plays crucial roles in gene expression and genome stability. It has been reported that silencing at individual units within tandem heterochromatin repeats exhibits a position‐dependent variation. However, how the heterochromatin is organized at an individual repeat level remains poorly understood. Using a novel genetic approach, our recent study identified a conserved protein Rex1BD required for position‐dependent silencing within heterochromatin repeats. We further revealed that Rex1BD interacts with the 14‐3‐3 protein to regulate heterochromatin silencing by linking RNAi and HDAC pathways. In this review, we discuss how Rex1BD and the 14‐3‐3 protein coordinate to modulate heterochromatin organization at the individual repeat level, and comment on the biological significance of the position‐dependent effect in heterochromatin repeats. Low temperature is one of the main abiotic stresses that affects plant growth, causing serious damage or even death to plants. The differential expression of the TaEXPA19 gene in the above and underground parts of winter wheat and the implications for cold resistance remain unclear. In this study, the TaEXPA19 gene was cloned and analysed for expression in winter wheat, and transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana was constructed to investigate the effect of the TaEXPA19 gene in response to low‐temperature stress on plant growth. The TaEXPA19‐A and TaEXPA19‐D genes have different response patterns in the above and underground parts of transgenic A. thaliana. When plants were subjected to low‐temperature stress, the leaves were quickly upregulated and the roots were downregulated, and then upregulated to respond to low‐temperature stress to promote the growth of leaf length and leaf width petiole length. The results indicated that TaEXPA19 genes could improve low‐temperature tolerance in plants. The results of this study laid a foundation for the study of the cold resistance of winter wheat. To investigate the incidence, characteristics and risk factors for hypoactive delirium in patients with nontraumatic acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and to explore the independent risk factors associated with hypoactive delirium and provide new ideas for early prediction and treatment. Hypoactive delirium is a known serious complication in ARDS patients, and currently, there are no effective early detection models or clinical prediction tools, and there is a lack of clinical treatment. This study included nontraumatic ARDS patients who stayed in the intensive care unit (ICU) for more than 24 h and were older than 18 years. A total of 205 ARDS patients admitted to the ICU of Gansu Provincial People's Hospital between December 2021 and February 2023 were selected. Demographic data, clinical characteristics and laboratory test results were collected within 24 h after the patients entered the ICU. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to investigate risk factors, evaluate the clinical prediction effect of the model and construct a nomogram for visual display. The incidence of hypoactive delirium among the patients included in the study was 41%. Patients with hypoactive delirium had hypertension; diabetes mellitus; Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) scores ≥ 15; and increased procalcitonin, C-reactive protein (CRP), lactic dehydrogenase and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels compared with those without hypoactive delirium. Logistic regression analysis revealed that diabetes mellitus (OR 3.305, 95% CI: 1.866–12.616; p = 0.047), CRP level (OR 1.002, 95% CI: 1.001–1.023; p = 0.044), and IL-6 level (OR 1.045, 95% CI: 1.017–1.063; p = 0.001) were independent risk factors for hypoactive delirium. After receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, calibration plot and decision curve analysis (DCA) confirmed that the clinical prediction ability of this study model was satisfactory, and a nomogram was drawn for visual display. Hypoactive delirium is a common serious complication in nontraumatic ARDS patients. New government policy in China has facilitated research on the hazards in open-pit mine slopes. Remote sensing, geological, geophysical, and computer simulation techniques have been applied to obtain better information in slope investigation. In this study, we investigated the slope of the Qianlingshan open-pit mine area in Beijing, China. Electrical resistivity tomography and ground-penetrating radar were used, and the results were compared with borehole data to ascertain the slope structure, potential slip surface, and deformation zone. A geological model of the slope was established, and the slope stability was analyzed by numerical simulation. The results showed that the slope had an unstable surface layer over bedrock, and probable creep sliding-tension deformation. In addition, the slope would become less stable in wet conditions. The geological methods used in this study will provide a useful reference for further slope stability analysis and prevention. We took the Qianlingshan open-pit slope in Beijing, China, as the research object, by comprehensive application of historical remote sensing images analysis, field investigation, electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and ground penetrating radar (GPR), and comparative analysis with borehole data, to obtain the slope parameter such as resistivity and velocity of electromagnetic wave, and to ascertain the slope structure, potential slip surface and deformation zone. The error accumulation in traditional offline handwritten mathematical expression recognition (OHMER) becomes challenging, because of the two-dimensional structure and writing arbitrariness of offline handwritten mathematical formulas. In this study, an OHMER method based on YOLOv5s was proposed. First, YOLOv5s was used to recognize the symbol category and spatial location information of the expression image. Second, the spatial attention mechanism was introduced in YOLOv5s to enlarge the difference among symbol categories and improve accuracy. Then, a bidirectional long short-term memory network (BiLSTM) was introduced to give the symbols context-related information. Finally, the contextual relevance of the symbols was improved by increasing the number of BiLSTM layers, achieving an accuracy of 95.67%. A mathematical expressions relationship tree was built using the symbol recognition results. Clustering theory was used to analyze the two-dimensional structure of expressions. The recognition accuracy of expressions on the CROHME 2019 Test was 65.47%. The recognition rate of YOLOv5s_SB3CT is second only to that of PAL. However, the recognition rate of YOLOv5_SB3CT is higher than that of PAL when the error is less than three. Corticotropin‐releasing hormone (CRH) neurons are densely distributed in the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), which plays a crucial role in integrating and processing emotional and cognitive inputs from other brain regions. Therefore, it is important to know the neural afferent patterns of mPFCCRH neurons, which are still unclear. Here, we utilized a rabies virus‐based monosynaptic retrograde tracing system to map the presynaptic afferents of the mPFCCRH neurons throughout the entire brain. The results show that the mPFCCRH neurons receive inputs from three main groups of brain regions: (1) the cortex, primarily the orbital cortex, somatomotor areas, and anterior cingulate cortex; (2) the thalamus, primarily the anteromedial nucleus, mediodorsal thalamic nucleus, and central medial thalamic nucleus; and (3) other brain regions, primarily the basolateral amygdala, hippocampus, and dorsal raphe nucleus. Taken together, our results are valuable for further investigations into the roles of the mPFCCRH neurons in normal and neurological disease states. Objectives: Functional constipation (FC), a common functional gastrointestinal disorder, is usually overlapping with upper gastrointestinal symptoms (UGS). We aimed to explore the clinical characteristics of patients with FC overlapping UGS along with the related risk factors. Methods: The differences in the severity of constipation symptoms, psychological state, quality of life (QoL), anorectal motility and perception function, autonomic function, and the effect of biofeedback therapy (BFT) among patients with FC in different groups were analyzed, along with the risk factors of overlapping UGS. Results: Compared with patients with FC alone, those with FC overlapping UGS had higher scores in the Patient Assessment of Constipation Symptoms and Self‐Rating Anxiety Scale and lower scores in the Short Form‐36 health survey (P < 0.05). Patients with FC overlapping UGS also had lower rectal propulsion, more negative autonomic nervous function, and worse BFT efficacy (P < 0.05). Overlapping UGS, especially overlapping functional dyspepsia, considerably affected the severity of FC. Logistic regression model showed that age, body mass index (BMI), anxiety, exercise, and sleep quality were independent factors influencing overlapping UGS in patients with FC. Conclusions: Overlapping UGS reduces the physical and mental health and the QoL of patients with FC. It also increases the difficulty in the treatment of FC. A novel approach for the synthesis of unsaturated 7-membered lactones by Pd-catalyzed [5+2] dipolar cycloaddition of vinylethylene carbonates (VECs) and C5-substituted Meldrum's acid derivatives has been developed. Various Meldrum's acid derivatives worked well in this reaction under mild reaction conditions. Macrolactins are a type of compound with complex macrolide structure which mainly be obtained through microbiological fermentation now. They have excellent antifungal, antibacterial and antitumor activity. In order to improve macrolactins production, Bacillus siamensis YB304 was used as the research object, and a mutant Mut-K53 with stable genetic characters was selected by UV-ARTP compound mutagenesis. The yield of macrolactins was 156.46 mg/L, 3.95 times higher than original strain. The metabolic pathway changes and regulatory mechanism of macrolactins were analyzed by quantitative proteomics combined with parallel reaction monitoring. This study revealed that 1794 proteins were extracted from strain YB304 and strain Mut-K53, most of them were related to metabolism. After UV-ARTP compound mutagenesis treatment, the expression of 628 proteins were significantly changed, of which 299 proteins were significantly up-regulated. KEGG pathway analysis showed that differentially expression proteins mainly distributed in biological process, cellular component, and molecular function processing pathways. Such as utilization of carbon sources, glycolysis pathway, and amino acid metabolism pathway. Background and purpose: There is increasing evidence to support a role for human herpes viruses in the development of neurodegenerative disorders; however, the association between varicella‐zoster virus (VZV) infection and dementia, and the effect of antiviral therapy on the risk for dementia remain unclear. Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library databases from their dates of inception to May 2023. Odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) served as indicators of effect sizes in evaluations of the effect of VZV infection and antiviral treatment on dementia risk. Subgroup analyses based on study design, study location, diagnostic criteria of dementia, and VZV subtype classification were also performed. Results: A total of 10 studies with 316,846 dementia cases were included in the meta‐analysis. We found that any VZV infection (OR: 1.04, 95% CI:.97–1.12; p =.22), herpes zoster (HZ) (OR: 1.05, 95% CI:.96–1.13; p =.28), or HZ involving the cranial nerves (OR: 1.36, 95% CI:.76–2.43; p =.304) was not associated with an increased risk of dementia. The results of subgroup analyses were consistent with these findings. However, patients infected with VZV who received antiviral treatment had a lower OR than untreated patients infected with VZV. Compared to individuals not infected with VZV, antiviral therapy in those infected with VZV was associated with reduced risk for dementia. Conclusion: The association between VZV infection and dementia may be masked by antiviral treatment. Further studies with longer follow‐up times that consider the severity of VZV infection and antiviral treatment are needed to clarify the contribution of VZV infection to the risk for dementia. This systematic review and meta‐analysis provide evidence of the effect of VZV infection and antiviral treatment on the risk for dementia. The findings suggest that the association between VZV infection and dementia may be masked by antiviral treatment. T-cell exhaustion refers to a state of T-cell dysfunction commonly observed in chronic infections and cancer. Immune checkpoint molecules blockading using PD-1 and TIM-3 antibodies have shown promising results in reversing exhaustion, but this approach has several limitations. The treatment of T-cell exhaustion is still facing great challenges, making it imperative to explore new therapeutic strategies. With the development of nanotechnology, nanoparticles have successfully been applied as drug carriers and delivery systems in the treatment of cancer and infectious diseases. Furthermore, nanoparticle-based immunotherapy has emerged as a crucial approach to reverse exhaustion. Here, we have compiled the latest advances in T-cell exhaustion, with a particular focus on the characteristics of exhaustion that can be targeted. Additionally, the emerging nanoparticle-based delivery systems were also reviewed. Moreover, we have discussed, in detail, nanoparticle-based immunotherapies that aim to reverse exhaustion, including targeting immune checkpoint blockades, remodeling the tumor microenvironment, and targeting the metabolism of exhausted T cells, etc. These data could aid in comprehending the immunopathogenesis of exhaustion and accomplishing the objective of preventing and treating chronic diseases or cancer. The study of the complex model associated with chaotic models is always the most complicated and fundamental in the current scientific environment. The primary goal of the current paper is to provide an illustration of the fundamental theory while analysing dynamical systems and validating the chaotic behaviour of the Lorenz–Haken (LH) equations, a system of fractional differential equations. The LH equations are used to describe the 4D chaotic laser. The Adams–Bashforth numerical method is used to extract the numerical solutions projected model. The classical model introduces the bifurcation of the parameter linked with the system. The system's uniqueness and existence are confirmed using the fixed-point hypothesis with the Caputo–Fabrizio fractional operator, followed by boundedness and dynamical analysis. Excessive nitrogen (N) fertilization poses environmental risks at regional and global levels. Satellite remote sensing provides a novel approach for large-scale N monitoring. In this study, we evaluated the performance of different types of spectral bands and indices (SIs) coupled with ensemble learning models (ELMs) at retrieving the plant N concentration (PNC) and plant aboveground biomass (AGB) of potato from Sentinel-2 images. Cloud-free Sentinel-2 imagery was acquired during the tuber-formation to starch-accumulation stages from 2020 to 2021. Fourteen optimal SIs were selected using the successive projections algorithm (SPA) and principal component analysis (PCA). The PNC and AGB estimation models were then built using an ELMs. The results showed that the SIs based on chlorophyll absorption bands were strongly related to potato PNC and AGB. Also, the N-correlated bands were mainly concentrated in the red-edge (705 nm) and short-wave infrared (1610 and 2190 nm) regions. The ELMs successfully predicted PNC and AGB (R2PNC = 0.74; R2AGB = 0.82). Compared with the other five base models (k-nearest neighbor (KNN), partial least squares regression (PLSR), support vector regression (SVR), random forest (RF), and Gaussian process regression (GPR)), the ELMs provided higher PNC and AGB estimation accuracy and effectively reduced overfitting to training data. This study demonstrated that the promising solution of using SPA-PCA coupled with an ensemble learning model improves the estimation accuracy of potato PNC and AGB based on Sentinel-2 imagery data. The role of sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI) in investigating fertility, embryonic development, and pregnancy is of academic interest. However, there is ongoing controversy regarding the impact of DFI on pregnancy outcomes and the safety of offspring in the context of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). In this study, we conducted an analysis of clinical data obtained from 6330 patients who underwent in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) at the reproductive medical center of The First People's Hospital of Shangqiu and The Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. The patients was stratified into two distinct groups: IVF group and ICSI group, Within each group, patients were further classified into three subgroups. IVF: group A (< 15%) included 3123 patients, group B (15–30%) included 561 patients, and group C (≥ 30%) included 46 patients. ICSI: group A (< 15%) included 1967 patients, group B (15–30%) included 462 patients, and group C (≥ 30%) included 171 patients. Data were collected and subjected to statistical analysis. There were no significant differences in the basic characteristics among the three groups, and the sperm DFI did not significantly affect the fertilization rates, pregnancy rates, stillbirth rates and the number of birth defects. However, the incidences of miscarriage rates in IVF/ICSI groups with DFI > 30% and DFI 15–30% were significantly higher than those in IVF/ICSI groups with DFI < 15%, and the miscarriage rates in ICSI group with DFI > 30% were significantly higher than DFI 15–30% group, the smooth fitting curve shows that there is a positive correlation between miscarriage rates and sperm DFI (OR 1.095; 95% CI 1.068–1.123; P < 0.001). The birth weight of infants in the IVF/ICSI groups with DFI > 30% and DFI 15–30% exhibited a statistically significant decrease compared to those in the IVF/ICSI groups with DFI < 15%. Furthermore, the birth weight of infants in the ICSI group with DFI > 30% was lower than that of the DFI 15–30% group. The smooth fitting curve analysis demonstrates a negative association between birth weight and sperm DFI (OR 0.913; 95% CI 0.890–0.937; P < 0.001). Sperm DFI has an impact on both miscarriage rates and birth weight in assisted reproductive technology. To investigate the circuit-level neural mechanisms of behavior, simultaneous imaging of neuronal activity in multiple cortical and subcortical regions is highly desired. Miniature head-mounted microscopes offer the capability of calcium imaging in freely behaving animals. However, implanting multiple microscopes on a mouse brain remains challenging due to space constraints and the cumbersome weight of the equipment. Here, we present TINIscope, a Tightly Integrated Neuronal Imaging microscope optimized for electronic and opto-mechanical design. With its compact and lightweight design of 0.43 g, TINIscope enables unprecedented simultaneous imaging of behavior-relevant activity in up to four brain regions in mice. Proof-of-concept experiments with TINIscope recorded over 1000 neurons in four hippocampal subregions and revealed concurrent activity patterns spanning across these regions. Moreover, we explored potential multi-modal experimental designs by integrating additional modules for optogenetics, electrical stimulation or local field potential recordings. In this study, a vitellogenin like1 gene (SfVg- like1) in Sogatella furcifera was identified. The open reading frame (ORF) encoded 1,321 amino acid sequence. Structure analysis reveals that the amino acid sequence of SfVg- like1 has 3 conserved LPD_N, DUF1943 and VWFD domains. Phylogenetic analyses showed that SfVg- like1 was clustered in the same branch with the Vg- like1 of Nilaparvata lugens (100% bootstrap value) compared with other Hemiptera insects Vg s associated with vitellogenesis. Temporo-spatial expression analyses showed that SfVg -like1 expressed during all stages, and in both genders. The relative expression levels of SfVg -like1 mRNA were higher in adults than in nymph developmental stages. The knockdown of SfVg- like1 gene resulted in the inhibition of the ovarian development in female adults, whereas the morphology of the testis in male adults was not been affected. The silence of SfVg- like1 could decrease the relative expression levels of target of rapamycin (SfTOR , GenBank MW193765) and vitellogenin (SfVg , GenBank MH271114) genes significantly in female adults. However, the knockdown of SfTOR or SfVg genes in female adults did not affect the transcript level of SfVg- like1. Therefore, it demonstrated that SfVg- like1 might locate on the upstream signaling pathways of SfTOR and SfVg. With the diversification of users' energy demands, accurate load forecasting is an important prerequisite for optimal scheduling and economic operation of the system, but a single‐load forecasting method cannot effectively predict multi‐energy loads accurately. Therefore, this paper proposes a multi‐energy load forecasting method based on bidirectional long short‐term memory (BiLSTM) and parallel feature extraction networks. Firstly, residual network and convolutional block attention module were used to extract the spatial coupling features of multi‐energy load data. Secondly, BiLSTM is used to capture the temporal features and long‐term dependencies in the load data, and the spatial coupling features are fused to obtain non‐linear prediction results. Finally, the non‐linear prediction results and the linear prediction results obtained by using multi‐energy linear regression were linearly superimposed to obtain the final prediction results. In this paper, IES load data of Tempe Campus of Arizona State University was used to verify and compared with several existing methods, and the results showed that Weighted Mean Absolute Percentage Error decreased by more than 20%. Studies of spatial distribution, kinematics, and physical structure of dense molecular gas in the centres of galaxies is crucial in understanding the nature of physical processes, especially those related to active galactic nuclei (AGNs) and starbursts, in the vicinity of central massive black holes. However, our current understanding of dense gas in the circumnuclear discs (CND) remains limited, particularly those around AGNs. Here-, we report high-resolution deep observations of the CS (3−2), HC3N (15−14), H2CO (2−1), CH3CCN (8−7), CO (1−0), and (3−2) lines, toward the central region (R  ∼ 0.4 kpc) of the nearest Seyfert-2 galaxy, the Circinus galaxy, using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array. The dense molecular gas traced by CS (3−2) and HC3N (15−14) exhibit an asymmetric and cloud structure, which is in sharp contrast against the symmetric low-density structure traced by CO (1−0). Four molecular cloud structures surrounding the AGN, which have a typical size of ∼ 20 pc, are detected with the optically thin HC3N (15−14) line. HC3N (15−14)/CO (1−0) line ratio in the CND is found to be higher than that in the nuclear region, indicating that the bulk of dense gas accumulates in the CND, instead of the nucleus. HC3N (15−14) line and optically thick tracers in four molecular clouds, provide a good comparison between density layers and show evidence for a density stratification of the CND. Background: Elevated IL‐21 expression which can effectively induce Th17 cell differentiation has been implicated in the pathogenesis of psoriasis, but its role in angiogenesis remains poorly understood. Methods: PASI and PSI score assessment was applied to evaluate the severity of psoriatic lesions. The expression of IL‐21, IL‐21 receptor (IL‐21R), CD31, VEGFA, MMP‐9, and ICAM‐1 in skin was determined by immunohistochemistry or quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction. The serum level of IL‐21 was measured by enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Then, their correlation was analyzed statistically. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) cocultured with conditional medium from normal human epidermal keratinocytes (NHEKs) were treated with IL‐21 and/or M5 cocktail (mixture of IL‐1α, IL‐17A, IL‐22, TNF‐α, and oncostatin M). The migration and tube formation of HUVECs were detected, and the levels of VEGFA, MMP‐9, and ICAM‐1 in NHEKs were measured by Western blotting or ELISA. Results: Increased IL‐21 and IL‐21R expression was observed in psoriatic sera or skin specimens, with IL‐21R mainly locating in keratinocytes and IL‐21 in immune cells. Pearson analysis showed significantly positive correlation between IL‐21/IL‐21R and erythema scores/microvessel density in psoriatic lesions. Moreover, the expression of proangiogenic genes, VEGFA, ICAM‐1, and MMP‐9 was upregulated in skins of psoriasis. Additionally, in M5 microenvironment, migration and tube formation could be magnified in HUVECs using IL‐21 pre‐treated NHEK medium. Mechanically, the co‐stimulation of IL‐21 and M5 to NEHKs increased the expression of ICAM‐1. Received signal strength- (RSS-) based localization in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) has attracted significant attention due to its advantages of low cost and simple implementation. In practice, RSS measurements may suffer from sensor biases, which deteriorates the localization accuracy. However, most of the existing localization methods are designed for bias-free measurements. In this paper, we propose a convex combination method for RSS localization in the presence of sensor biases. The parameter vector composed of unknown location and sensor biases is estimated simultaneously by using a convex combination of some virtual points. These virtual points form a convex hull, into which the parameter vector falls with large probability. By this, the original nonconvex estimation problem is converted to be convex. The conventional overcurrent protection is ineffective in isolating faults in microgrids due to the low fault current levels contributed by inverter-interfaced distributed generations (IIDGs). To extend the microgrid protection methods, the distance protection is considered as a common alternative to detect faults. However, the fault-ride-through (FRT) requirements and the high impedance fault (HIF) detection challenge the application of the conventional distance protection. To solve the two problems, a new inverse-time distance (ITD) protection for medium-voltage AC microgrids was proposed in this paper. The primary ITD protection was designed to meet the FRT requirements, and the backup protection was coordinated to isolate faults. The fault resistance and distributed generation infeed effect on the measured impedance were mitigated by a communication-assisted method proposed in this paper. Owing to the shorter communication channel time in distribution feeders and lower communication investments without a synchronous clock, the proposed method can be used to improve the ITD protection performance. An 11 kV AC microgrid was simulated with different fault types in the islanded mode and grid-connected mode. Time domain simulation verified the effectiveness of the proposed ITD protection. Land–atmosphere coupling (LAC) plays a significant role in weather and climate and is related to droughts and heatwaves. We propose a simple and efficient LAC diagnosis method based on the analysis of water isotopes in atmospheric water vapour and precipitation. Using the method, we identify the primary LAC hotspot regions of the globe and reveal the seasonality of LAC strength. We find that LAC strength exhibits a relationship with latitude. Low latitudes present stronger LAC strength and contribute more significantly to the overall LAC area compared to boreal middle and high latitudes. It's important to note that LAC primarily manifests in the troposphere and is detected in the lower stratosphere of low latitudes, with limited influence observed in the stratosphere. However, the impact of LAC is noticeable in the upper stratosphere in boreal middle and high latitudes. Moreover, the seasonality of LAC strength is pronounced. On a global scale, the season with the strongest LAC is boreal autumn in the Northern Hemisphere but boreal summer in the Southern Hemisphere. Notably, this pattern does not exhibit a seesaw effect between the two hemispheres. Our isotope-based LAC diagnosis method captures the major LAC hotspots found in previous work and validates the seasonality of LAC within these hotspots. To develop and validate the performance of a high myopia (HM)-specific normative database of peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (pRNFL) thickness in differentiating HM from highly myopic glaucoma (HMG). Cross-sectional multicenter study. A total of 1367 Chinese participants (2325 eyes) with nonpathologic HM or HMG were included from 4 centers. After quality control, 1108 eyes from 694 participants with HM were included in the normative database; 459 eyes from 408 participants (323 eyes with HM and 136 eyes with HMG) and 322 eyes from 197 participants (131 eyes with HM and 191 eyes with HMG) were included in the internal and external validation sets, respectively. Only HMG eyes with an intraocular pressure > 21 mmHg were included. The pRNFL thickness was measured with swept-source (SS) OCT. Four strategies of pRNFL-specified values were examined, including global and quadrantic pRNFL thickness below the lowest fifth or the lowest first percentile of the normative database. The accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of the HM-specific normative database for detecting HMG. Setting the fifth percentile of the global pRNFL thickness as the threshold, using the HM-specific normative database, we achieved an accuracy of 0.93 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.90–0.95) and 0.85 (95% CI, 0.81–0.89), and, using the first percentile as the threshold, we acheived an accuracy of 0.85 (95% CI, 0.81–0.88) and 0.70 (95% CI, 0.65–0.75) in detecting HMG in the internal and external validation sets, respectively. The fifth percentile of the global pRNFL thickness achieved high sensitivities of 0.75 (95% CI, 0.67–0.82) and 0.75 (95% CI, 0.68–0.81) and specificities of 1.00 (95% CI, 0.99–1.00) and 1.00 (95% CI, 0.97–1.00) in the internal and external validation datasets, respectively. Compared with the built-in database of the OCT device, the HM-specific normative database showed a higher sensitivity and specificity than the corresponding pRNFL thickness below the fifth or first percentile (P < 0.001 for all). The HM-specific normative database is more capable of detecting HMG eyes than the SS OCT built-in database, which may be an effective tool for differential diagnosis between HMG and HM. The literature on emotion regulation in general lacks cultural and contextual sensitivity and is mainly focused on adult participants. Therefore, we developed the Children's Dual Emotion Regulation Strategy (CDERS) scale as a scenario‐based measurement that integrates Western and East Asian cultural perspectives. In Study 1 (N = 1120), six interpersonal conflict scenarios were generated, and each scenario consisted of four emotion regulation strategies (i.e., expression, forbearance, impulsiveness, and suppression), thereby including 24 items in total. A confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the four‐factor structure. Concurrent validity revealed that the four strategies in the CDERS accounted for 18%–20% of the variance in predicting positive self‐concept and life adjustment. In Study 2 (N = 319), predictive validity revealed that CDERS accounted for 12%–16% of the variance in predicting six outcomes. Incremental validity showed that the CDERS significantly accounted for an additional 3%–11% of the variance in predicting all outcomes above and beyond the existing Western and East Asian emotion regulation measures. The CDERS subscales showed acceptable internal and test–retest reliability. In summary, these studies suggest that the CDERS is a reliable and valid measure. Ganglioneuroma is a rare benign tumor originating in the sympathetic ganglia, composed of differentiated ganglion cells, nerve sheath cells, and nerve fibers, which tend to occur in the posterior mediastinum, adrenal gland, retroperitoneal, and other locations, occurring in the head and neck is relatively rare, and parapharyngeal space involvement is extremely rare. In our report, we present 2 adult male patients whose preoperative imaging and fine needle cytology did not confirm the diagnosis of a parapharyngeal space mass and who completely resected the tumor through a combined cervical and oral approach. Finally, pathology confirmed ganglioneuroma; we also reviewed the English articles on parapharyngeal ganglioneuroma over the past 40 years, and summarized the diagnostic and treatment characteristics of parapharyngeal ganglioneuroma in combination with our cases to improve understanding of the disease. The main visibility forecast factors were identified with the support of data from routine meteorological observations from the Mianyang Airport and the Mianyang Environmental Monitoring Station from 2015 to 2018, and a visibility grading forecast model was established and tested by dint of the multiple linear regression and the KNN algorithm based on big data mining technology, and the variation characteristics of visibility in winter at the Mianyang Airport were studied. The results showed that (1) in addition to having a significant positive correlation with wind speed, the visibility in winter at the Mianyang Airport has a significant negative correlation with relative humidity, dew point temperature, AQI, PM2.5 concentration, PM10 concentration, and CO, and it has the strongest correlation with relative humidity, and the correlation coefficient is −0.76. (2) The multivariate linear regression model and the KNN model were adopted for grading forecasting experiments on visibility, and the results revealed that both models could be used for visibility grading forecasts. The multiple regression model secures an accuracy of over 70% for forecasts of level 1–5 visibility. In terms of the KNN model, the forecast accuracy is the best when K = 3 or K = 5, notably for level-2, level-4, and level-5 visibility. The forecast accuracy rate is 100% for level-2 visibility, but the forecast for level-1 visibility is poor. (3) The minimum value of the average daily visibility of the Mianyang Airport in winter appeared at 09 : 00 and the maximum value appeared at 17 : 00. However, enhancing interface electron cycling and optimizing the coupling of the oxygen‐containing intermediates to improve PMS activation kinetics remains a major challenge. Here, Co doped CeVO4 catalyst (Co−CVO) with asymmetric sites was constructed based on Ce 4f−O 2p−Co 3d gradient orbital coupling. The catalyst achieved approximately 2.51×105 copies/mL of extracellular ARGs (eARGs) removal within 15 minutes, exhibited ultrahigh degradation rate (k=1.24 min−1). The effective gradient 4f‐2p‐3d orbital coupling precisely regulates the electron distribution of Ce−O−Co active center microenvironment, while optimizing the electronic structure of Co 3d states (especially the occupancy of eg), promoting the adsorption of oxygen‐containing intermediates. The generated radical and nonradical generated by interfacial electron cycling enhanced by the reduction reaction of PMS at the Ce site and the oxidation reaction at the Co site achieved a significant mineralization rate of ARGs (83.4 %). Objective: To analyze factors influencing the underestimation of noise-induced permanent threshold shift (NIPTS) among manufacturing workers, providing baseline data for revising noise exposure standard. Design: A cross-sectional study was designed with 2702 noise-exposed workers from 35 enterprises from 10 industries. Personal noise exposure level(LAeq,8h) and noise kurtosis level were determined by a noise dosimeter. Questionnaires and hearing loss tests were performed for each subject. The predicted NIPTS was calculated using the ISO 1999:2013 model for each participant, and the actual measured NIPTS was corrected for age and sex. The factors influencing the underestimation of NIPTS were investigated. Results: The predicted NIPTS at each test frequency (0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6kHz) and mean NIPTS at 2, 3, 4, and 6kHz (NIPTS2346) using the ISO 1999:2013 model were significantly lower than their corresponding measured NIPTS, respectively (P < 0.001). The ISO model significantly underestimated the NIPTS2346 by 12.36 dB HL. The multiple linear regression analysis showed that noise exposure level, exposure duration, age, and kurtosis could affect the degree of underestimation of NIPTS2346. The generalized additive model (GAM) with (penalized) spline components showed nonlinear relationships between critical factors (age, exposure duration, noise level, and kurtosis) and the underestimated NIPTS2346.The underestimated NIPTS2346 decreased with an increase in exposure duration (especially over ten years). There was no apparent trend in the underestimated NIPTS2346 with age. The underestimated NIPTS2346 decreased with the increased noise level [especially > 90 dB(A)]. The underestimated NIPTS2346 increased with an increase in noise kurtosis after adjusting for the noise exposure level and exposure duration and ultimately exhibiting a linear regression relationship. Conclusions: The ISO 1999 predicting model significantly underestimated the noise-induced hearing loss among manufacturing workers. The degree of underestimation became more significant at the noise exposure condition of fewer than ten years, less than 90 dB(A), and higher kurtosis levels. It is necessary to apply kurtosis to adjust the underestimation of hearing loss and consider the applying condition of noise energy metrics when using the ISO predicting model. Simple Summary: Targeted therapy for malignant esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remains a big challenge for our clinicians. In an effort to search for the vulnerability of ESCC, we applied a high-throughput drug-screening strategy and found that CuET, a copper chelation product of disulfiram, had a strong synergy effect with the JMJD3/UTX inhibitor GSK J4 in treating ESCC in vitro and in vivo. Interestingly, JMJD3/UTX's diagnostic and prognostic value, as well as the underlying mechanisms associated with endoplasmic reticulum stress were revealed. Targeting JMJD3 and UTX in combination with disulfiram has the potential to provide a new safe, effective, and available therapy for ESCC. The alcohol-averse drug disulfiram has been reported to have anti-tumor effects and is well suited for drug combinations. In order to identify potential drug combinations in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), we screened a bioactive compound library with the disulfiram copper chelation product CuET. The Jumonji domain-containing protein 3 (JMJD3) and the ubiquitously transcribed tetratricopeptide repeat protein X-linked (UTX) inhibitor GSK J4 were identified. To further understand the molecular mechanism underlying the efficient drug combination, we applied quantitative mass spectrometry to analyze the signaling pathway perturbation after drug treatment. The data revealed that the synergistic effect of GSK J4 and CuET was due to the interaction among JMJD3 and UTX, which may play important roles in maintaining endoplasmic reticulum (ER) homeostasis in tumor cells. Interestingly, our clinical data analysis showed that high expression of JMJD3 and UTX was associated with T stage and worse prognosis of ESCC patients, further supporting the importance of the above findings. The ski industry in China has been entering into a phase of rapid development, since the beginning of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, with the typical distribution characteristics of ski tourism in main snow-ice resources area. The North Slope region of the Tianshan Mountain contains the favorable endowment of ski resources in China and has become one of the best tourist destinations. However, ski tourism are facing a significant challenge in ecological and environmental protection. Few China Ski tourism studies considered the discussion of ecological footprint. Therefore, this study aims to explore an ecological accounting scheme for ski tourism, based on evaluating the local ecological carrying capacity and ecological pressure, and to examine the sustainability of the regional ski industry layout, took a representative Tianshan ski tourist city as the research case. It is indicated that the ecological footprint of ski resorts are considerably larger than that of other tourism activities, which highlights the urgent need to manage ecological issues of ski resorts. The regional tourist attractions cannot match ski tourism endowment. Nalati ski resorts presents a state of ecological deficit, as the largest tourism area in North Slope region of Tianshan Mountain. Ski tourism accommodations contribute to the largest proportion of the ecological footprint. Native to China and the Korean Peninsula, the Asian longhorned beetle (ALB) Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) is a high‐risk invasive pest of hardwood trees.To explore the potential of biological control of ALB in the United States, we conducted surveys of ALB parasitoids using sentinel logs in five geographical regions (Beijing, Gansu, Guizhou, Shanghai, and Yunnan) in China from 2019 to 2022.Seven hymenopteran larval parasitoid species, Bracon planitibiae Yang, Eurytoma chinensis Yang, Heydenia sp., Oxysychus glabripennis Yang, Sclerodermus guani Xiao et Wu, Spathius anoplophorae Yang, and Zolotarewskya anoplophorae Yang, were collected in Beijing. Four, three and two of these species were also found in Shanghai, Guizhou, and Yunnan, respectively. No parasitoid was found in Gansu.Mean parasitism rates by all parasitoid species were 3.6%–15.8% in Beijing, 1.4%–16.4% in Guizhou, 1.6%–7.1% in Shanghai, and 5.8% in Yunnan.Spathius anoplophorae and O. glabripennis were the two most dominant parasitoids collected consistently in the four different regions and may be considered as prospective agents for biological control introduction against ALB in the United States.We discuss some underlying ecological mechanisms that might contribute to the rarity of egg parasitoids and future opportunities and challenges for biological control of ALB. Insect gut bacteria play an essential role in the nutritional metabolism, growth, and development of insects. Grasshoppers (Orthoptera) are cellulose-rich plant-feeding pests. Although the biological potential of grasshopper gut microorganisms to assist cellulose decomposition is well established, microbial resources for efficient degradation of cellulose biomass are still scarce and need to be developed. In this study, we used selective media to isolate cellulose-degrading bacteria from the intestines of Atractomorpha sinensis, Trilophidia annulata, Sphingonotus mongolicus , and Calliptamus abbreviatus. Phylogenetic analysis based on the maximum likelihood method using 16S rDNA sequencing sequences to identify bacteria revealed the isolation of 11 strains belonging to 3 genera, including Klebsiella , Aeromonas , and Bacillus. The degradability of the isolates to cellulose was then determined by the DNS colorimetric method, and the results showed that Bacillus had the highest degradation rate. The elucidation of microbial cellulose degradation capacity in grasshoppers not only contributes to the understanding of multiple plant–insect–microbe interactions, but also provides a valuable microbial resource for solving the biomass conversion of cellulose species problem. In this work, porous sisal fibre carbon (SFC) with high-surface areas was prepared from the sisal fibre calcination process using KOH as chemical activation. The ratio of KOH/C to calcination temperature of the SFC catalyst was optimised, and it was found that 1SFC-900, with the KOH/C ratio of 1 and calcination temperature of 900 °C, was the most suitable propane oxidative dehydrogenation (PODH) catalyst. Under optimal reaction conditions, the propane conversion rate was 53.7%, and the propylene selectivity was 66.4%. The specific activity normalised by the surface areas and other physical properties and the propylene SFC selectivity, including the surface oxygen content, ID/IG and sp3/sp2 ratio of carbon, were investigated. The presence of the surface oxygen groups was beneficial for the specific activity but adverse for the selectivity. That is, the higher sp3/sp2 ratio in the defects will increase the PODH selectivity. The prepared SFC was green and low in cost, with biomass as a raw material. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to apply the concept of equivalent initial flaw size (EIFS) to the anisotropic nickel-based single crystal (SX) material, and to predict the fatigue life on this basis. The crack propagation law of SX material at different temperatures and the weak correlation of EIFS values verification under different loading conditions are also investigated. Design/methodology/approach: A three-parameter time to crack initial (TTCI) method with multiple reference crack lengths under different loading conditions is established, which include the TTCI backstepping method and EIFS fitting method. Subsequently, the optimized EIFS distribution is obtained based on the random crack propagation rate and maximum likelihood estimation of median fatigue life. Then, an effective driving force based on anisotropic and mixed crack propagation mode is proposed to describe the crack propagation rate in the small crack stage. Finally, the fatigue life of three different temperature ESE(T) standard specimens is predicted based on the EIFS values under different survival rates. Findings: The optimized EIFS distribution based on EIFS fitting - maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) method has the highest accuracy in predicting the total fatigue life, with the range of EIFS values being about [0.0028, 0.0875] (mm), and the mean value of EIFS being 0.0506 mm. The error between the predicted fatigue life based on the crack propagation rate and EIFS distribution for survival rates ranges from 5% to 95% and the experimental life is within two times dispersion band. Originality/value: This paper systematically proposes a new anisotropic material EIFS prediction method, establishing a framework for predicting the fatigue life of SX material at different temperatures using fracture mechanics to avoid inaccurate anisotropic constitutive models and fatigue damage accumulation theory. To achieve precise measurement of a large aperture mirror, a six-degrees-of-freedom (6-DOF) measurement instrument is designed to monitor and calculate the real-time attitude of the mirror. Magnetoelectric displacement sensors are prepressed, and a flexible sensor supporting is designed to achieve high-accuracy measurement. The relationship between 6-DOF displacements of the mirror and the six sensor values can be obtained using the coordinate system transformation and Jacobian matrix. The Newton's iteration method is used to decouple the strong coupling measurement system, and 6-DOF displacements are obtained. The displacements directly measured by using laser sensors are compared with the calculated values in the experiments, the minimum average error of the measured displacement is 1.87%, and the mean difference of the displacement is 0.43 µm. Purpose: University–industry (UI) collaboration is essential for knowledge and technology exchange between higher education institutions and industries, enabling enterprises to accelerate innovation. However, few studies have investigated the collaborative innovation mechanism through which UI collaboration can enhance the accumulation of firms' intellectual capital (IC) and how this, in turn, affects their innovation-driven development. Design/methodology/approach: Drawing from the knowledge management and collaborative innovation theory, this research proposes a theoretical framework of the inter-organization relationship between enterprises and universities to investigate the influence mechanism of UI collaboration, including academic engagement and commercialization, on corporate performance as well as the mediating role of IC by employing survey that covers 177 UI collaborations. Findings: Empirical results show that human capital and relational capital fully mediate the relationship between academic engagement UI collaboration and corporate economic performance, while human capital partially mediates the relationship between commercialization UI collaboration and corporate economic performance. Additionally, structural capital and relational capital partially mediate the relationship between academic engagement and corporate innovation performance, while structural capital fully mediates the relationship between commercialization and corporate innovation performance. Originality/value: This study empirically investigates how academic engagement and commercialization impact corporate performance (i.e. innovation dimension or economic dimension). Shield tunnels, especially those with small curvature radii, are currently used in the construction of underground rail transit, and they provide important support for the future development and utilization of underground space. Generally, tunnel curvature radii no more than 350 m are considered small, and the corresponding tunnel mechanical properties are more complex than those of a straight tunnel, introducing unprecedented challenges to shield construction. Therefore, the main load types that affect the mechanical properties of shield tunnel segments with small curvature radii are summarized. Based on the Wugensong–Guangdu shield zone in the Chengdu metro No. 1 southward line, the shield machine in this area adopts passive articulation system, in situ monitoring of the segment strain and the gap between rings is conducted, and the indoor model uniaxial compression testing is performed considering only the jack thrust as the longitudinal load. The results show that the segment strain and the gap between rings are mainly affected by the jack thrust, and the axial strain is twice the circumferential strain. In the construction of shield tunnels with small curvature radii, segment damage is more likely to occur on the outer side of the tunnel axis than on the inner side. For a shield tunnel of a certain curvature, the construction difficulty during driving increases in the order of the straight line section, in (out)-curve section and full-curve section. For the same propulsion stage, the smaller the curvature radius is, the easier the segment can be damaged. These research results are of great significance to the safe construction of shield sections with curvature radii for underground rail transit in the future. An iridium‐catalyzed remote site‐switchable hydroarylation of alkenes was reported, delivering the products functionalized at the subterminal methylene and terminal methyl positions on an alkyl chain controlled by two different ligands, respectively, in good yields and with good to excellent site‐selectivities. The catalytic system showed good functional group tolerance and a broad substrate scope, including unactivated and activated alkenes. More importantly, the regioconvergent transformations of mixtures of isomeric alkenes were also successfully realized. The results of the mechanistic studies demonstrate that the reaction undergoes a chain‐walking process to give an [Ar−Ir−H] complex of terminal alkene. The mixing and combustion characteristics of liquid kerosene spray in a cavity-based supersonic combustor under a Mach 2.52 inflow are experimentally and numerically investigated. The combustion mode transition of kerosene spray includes two aspects: 1. As the injection pressure increases, the combustion mode shows a transition of weak-intensive-transitional(weak to intensive)-weak-blowoff; 2. in the transitional combustion mode, there is a transition from weak to intensive combustion over time. In the weak combustion mode, the combustion chamber pressure increases slightly, and the flame is inside the cavity. In the intensive combustion mode, the pressure rises sharply from the isolation section and the flame is a typical cavity stabilized combustion mode. The weak combustion at low/high injection pressure is due to rich/lean fuel inside the cavity. In the transitional combustion mode, the flame on the downstream wall of the cavity gradually expands and joins with the flame inside the cavity, evolving from weak combustion to intensive combustion. The transition is accomplished in a very short time, on the order of milliseconds. This study deepens the understanding of the combustion mode of scramjet engines and provides a reference for the design of fuel injection schemes for scramjet engines. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To reveal whether gut microbiota and their metabolites are correlated with oocyte quality decline caused by circadian rhythm disruption, and to search possible approaches for improving oocyte quality. Design: A mouse model exposed to continuous light was established. The oocyte quality, embryonic development, microbial metabolites and gut microbiota were analyzed. Intragastric administration of microbial metabolites was conducted to confirm the relationship between gut microbiota and oocyte quality and embryonic development. Results: Firstly, we found that oocyte quality and embryonic development decreased in mice exposed to continuous light. Through metabolomics profiling and 16S rDNA‐seq, we found that the intestinal absorption capacity of vitamin D was decreased due to significant decrease of bile acids such as lithocholic acid (LCA), which was significantly associated with increased abundance of Turicibacter. Subsequently, the concentrations of anti‐Mullerian hormone (AMH) hormone in blood and melatonin in follicular fluid were reduced, which is the main reason for the decline of oocyte quality and early embryonic development, and this was rescued by injection of vitamin D3 (VD3). Secondly, melatonin rescued oocyte quality and embryonic development by increasing the concentration of lithocholic acid and reducing the concentration of oxidative stress metabolites in the intestine. Thirdly, we found six metabolites that could rescue oocyte quality and early embryonic development, among which LCA of 30 mg/kg and NorDCA of 15 mg/kg had the best rescue effect. Conclusion: These findings confirm the link between ovarian function and gut microbiota regulation by microbial metabolites and have potential value for improving ovary function. (1) Background: Patients with vestibular migraine (VM) often present with positional vertigo. A portion of these patients have features of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). It is a challenge to rapidly identify the BPPV component of VM associated with positional vertigo. (2) Methods: Retrospective data collected from 60 VM and 47 VM + BPPV patients were used to build a diagnostic model, and then prospective data from 47 patients were used for the external validation. All patients had VM manifesting as positional vertigo, with or without accompanying BPPV. The clinical manifestations and the results of vestibular function tests were comprehensively analyzed using logistic regression. (3) Results: The univariate and multivariate analyses showed that the age, symptom duration, tinnitus, ear fullness, nausea, head shaking nystagmus, the direction of the Dix–Hallpike and roll tests, and horizontal gain could help differentiate between the two groups. A nomogram and an online calculator were generated. The C-index was 0.870. The diagnostic model showed good discriminative power and calibration performance during internal and external validation. (4) Conclusions: This study provided a new perspective for diagnosing VM with positional vertigo by identifying the BPPV component and, for the first time, offers a prediction model integrating multiple predictors. Many studies have documented the linkage between public transportation and economic outcomes, though there is relatively little empirical evidence on the consequences of losing existing transit services, especially bus services, which disproportionately serve low-income populations. We investigate the impacts of bus access on poverty and employment using a natural experiment in Clayton County, GA, where the local bus transit was terminated between 2010 and 2015. Using a difference-in-difference approach, we find substantial increases in poverty and unemployment rates in affected neighbourhoods during the five-year period. Our findings suggest both the spatial mismatch hypothesis, which predicts the reduction in transit access can lead to reductions in job accessibility and employment, and the residential sorting hypothesis, which states that poor households gravitate towards neighbourhoods with better transit access, could be at play. Overall, we find strong evidence that disruptions in bus transit could have significant adverse impacts on neighbourhood economic outcomes. Our findings underscore the need for federal and local public transportation funding to help improve job access, alleviate poverty, and maintain neighbourhood stability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Macrophages are highly plastic in different tissues and can differentiate into functional subpopulations under different stimuli. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are one of the most important innate immune cells implicated in the establishment of an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). Recent evidence pinpoints the critical role of metabolic reprogramming in dictating pro-tumorigenic functions of TAMs. Both tumor cells and macrophages undergo metabolic reprogramming to meet energy demands in the TME. Understanding the metabolic rewiring in TAMs can shed light on immune escape mechanisms and provide insights into repolarizing TAMs towards anti-tumorigenic function.
