Objectif: Décrire les besoins de formation des jeunes médecins maghrébins en management des épidémies. Méthodes: Il s'agit d'une étude transversale de quantification du besoin de formation sur le «management des épidémies». La population d'étude a été composée des résidents et des enseignants assistants hospitalo-universitaires des facultés de médecine francophones du Grand Maghreb, invités à répondre à un questionnaire en ligne. Le «besoin» d'apprentissage d'une compétence a été défini par la perception de son importance, de sa faible couverture et sa faible maitrise. Une grille à 20 items, codés selon l'échelle de Likert de 1 à 5 points, a été spécialement élaborée pour la mesure du besoin de formation, retenu au delà des seuils de 45/90 points pour les deux dimensions «confirmation» et «investigation», de 60/120 points pour la dimension «contrôle», et de 150/300 pour la somme totale. Résultats: Un total de 121 jeunes médecins maghrébins ont répondu au questionnaire d'évaluation des besoins d'apprentissage des capacités en management des épidémies. Les scores globaux médians des chapitres «importance», «couverture» et «performance», ont été respectivement de 76, 40 et 48 sur 100 points. Les scores médians des «besoins» de formation ont été de 54/90, 48/90 et 67/120 points, respectivement, pour les dimensions «confirmation», «investissement» et «contrôle», soit un score global médian de 168/300. Conclusion: Le renforcement des capacités en management des épidémies est un besoin ressenti par les jeunes médecins maghrébins, partiellement couvert par les programmes actuels des écoles médicales, et altérant par conséquent leur performance professionnelle.

International audience; The objectives were to explore, among university students, the level of COVID-19 vaccine acceptance, hesitancy, and resistancy and to determine the motivations and barriers, and the reasons that may change student vaccination decision making. An online observational cross-sectional study was conducted among students of a French university in January 2021 with questions about the intention to be vaccinated against COVID-19, the motivations and the barriers. The convenience sample included 3089 students, with a mean of age of 20.3 (SD = 1.9). To the question on the intention to vaccinate against the COVID-19, 58.0% of students reported that they would choose to have a vaccination, 17.0% reported that they would not and 25.0% were not sure. The main motivations for vaccine acceptance were “I don′t want to transmit COVID-19 to others”, the main barriers for vaccine resistance or hesitancy were “I prefer to wait until I have more experience with these new vaccines”. Age, female gender, being in first three years of study, studied sciences courses and neither sciences nor healthcare courses of study were significantly associated with a higher risk of vaccine hesitancy or resistancy. Self-estimated knowledge of conventional vaccines and COVID-19 vaccines, and confidence in efficiency and safety of conventional vaccination were associated with a lower risk of vaccine hesitancy or resistancy. It is relevant to disseminate evidence-based interventions to promote COVID-19 vaccine acceptability for college students, especially for the students in neither sciences nor healthcare courses of study, as college students will soon be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Consecutive patients referred tothe Department of Addictive Medicine of a universityhospital between 1 January 2017 and 31 December2017 for alcohol dependence were included in the study.Controls were non-alcohol-dependent adults, definedaccording to an Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Testscore of less than 8, and were matched on age and sexwith cases. Data on sociodemographics, behaviour andalcohol consumption were retrospectively collected forthree life periods: before the age of 18 years; betweenthe age of 18 and 25 years; and between the age of 25and 45 years. Frequency of binge drinking between 18and 25 years was categorised as frequent if more thantwice a month, occasional if once a month and never ifno binge drinking.Results 166 adults between 25 and 45 years wereincluded: 83 were alcohol-dependent and 83 werenon-alcohol-dependent. International audience; In this article we describe the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the students participating in the first study assessing the lifestyle and behaviors that was carried out in Cluj, Romania. Participants in the study were predominantly female, facing financial difficulties, having nutritional disorders in deficit rather than in excess and expressing interest in preventive medicine services
