- Abstract
In view of the high concentration of conventional pollutants in breeding wastewater, including heavy metals, antibiotics, hormones, and other toxic and harmful pollutants, microalgae transformation technology has shown great potential. In order to explore the effect, mechanism, and influencing factors of microalgae treatment of breeding wastewater, this paper summarized the removal effect and removal mechanism of microalgae on the main pollutants in breeding wastewater, analyzed the different influencing factors on the treatment effect of microalgae on breeding wastewater, and focused on the mechanism of microalgae and the removal efficiency of pollutants during different treatment process. The results showed that microalgae can remove conventional pollutants such as carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus, from breeding wastewater through photosynthesis and assimilation and can remove heavy metals, antibiotics, suspended solids, hormones, and pathogenic bacteria through a series of biological processes. Meanwhile, the removal effect of microalgae on pollutants was restricted by the algae species type, inoculation concentration, temperature, light, and wastewater properties. Multi-algae coordination and immobilization treatment both improved the removal ability of microalgae, and algal bacteria symbiosis technology could make microalgae and bacteria mutually symbiosis, which could achieve the purpose of more efficient removal of pollutants. In summary, microalgae has great potential in the treatment of breeding wastewater, and optimal environmental conditions and appropriate treatment technology should be considered during the actual treatment process, so as to construct an efficient microalgae breeding wastewater purification system. - Abstract
Based on the density functional theory (DFT), the surface properties of a single-atom Y adsorption on ITO (Indium Tin Oxide, ITO) surface were studied by first - principles calculations. According to the calculated results of total energy about the system, the stability adsorption site of single-atom Y (Single - atom Y supported on ITO, Y/ITO) is hole site. So, the model structure was designed based on the total energy. The adsorption properties of NO and CO gas molecules on ITO and Y/ITO surfaces were studied by first - principles calculations. The calculated results of adsorption energy and density of states for NO and CO gas molecules on ITO and Y/ITO surfaces suggests that the single-atom Y can improve the stability and adsorption property of ITO surface, and the adsorption behavior for NO and CO gas molecules on Y/ITO surfaces is a spontaneous exot hermic process. Also, the NO gas molecule is easy to be absorbed to Y/ITO surface. Therefore, the Y/ITO surface shows certain selectivity for NO. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

18. 基于特征优选的北疆典型区域非农化遥感监测.

- Abstract
The spatiotemporal pattern of non-agriculturalization can be accurately and rapidly captured for the rational formulation of land use and cultivated land protection. Remote sensing imagery has been more precise and efficient for the large-scale dynamic monitoring of cultivated land, with the advancements in feature extraction and classification. There are also different and feature variables during dynamic monitoring of cultivated land. In this study, Sentinel-2 satellite imagery was employed to monitor the non-agriculturalization of cultivated land. The experimental and validation zones were selected from the northern part of Xinjiang, a vital agricultural production base in China. The reclaimed areas were also in the Eighth Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps in Shihezi City. The data source was comprised of Sentinel-2 remote sensing images, covering the research area as of July 17, 2022, and August 16, 2020. The images were improved to facilitate the automatic extraction of information, according to the non-agricultural land use on cultivated land. Initially, the spectral indices and gray-level co-occurrence matrix were calculated to obtain 31 features, including spectral, spectral index, and texture features. Subsequently, Pearson correlation coefficients were computed for the eight band features, seven non-red edge spectral indices, and eight red edge spectral indices, leading to the removal of redundant features with weak classification and high correlation. Principal component analysis (PCA) was applied to extract the first three components of eight texture features. Feature importance scores were ranked using the random forest (RF) with the Gini index, resulting in the selection of optimal features: red, green, blue, narrow NIR (B8A), normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), modified soil adjusted vegetation index (MSAVI), red-edge chlorophyll index (Clre), red-edge vegetation index (REDVI), triangular vegetation index (TVI), PCA1, PCA2 and PCA3 of texture features. 12 features and the original were selected to construct five classification schemes, including four optimal combinations (Scheme 1-3 and Scheme 5) and the original (Scheme 4). Seven classification algorithms were then utilized to evaluate: RF, artificial neural network (ANN), minimum distance (MID), maximum likelihood (MAL), mahalanobis distance (MAD), support vector machine (SVM), and Softmax. The results included: 1) The importance ranking of feature variables was as follows: band features, red edge spectral index features, non-red edge spectral index features, texture features. 2) Accuracy improvement depended mainly on the effective selection of multiple feature variables and algorithms. The two-stage model was constructed using Softmax. The highest accuracy was achieved with the optimal combination of feature variables, namely band + spectral index + texture features. The dimensionality of the feature variable was reduced to 12. The overall accuracy, average user's accuracy, average producer's accuracy, and Kappa coefficient were 94.92%, 95.16%, 93.15%, and 0.88, respectively. 3) A comparison of 2020 and 2022 data revealed that there was an area of 146.153 km² transitioning from cultivated land to non-agricultural use, while an area of 123.074 km² was transitioned from nonagricultural to cultivated land. Overall, the cultivated land decreased by 23.079 km² . In conclusion, the non-agriculturalization of cultivated land can provide technical support and references for the extraction of land cover information, particularly for the resource protection and sustainable utilization of cultivated land. - Abstract
To explore the best intercropping method of millet and soybean under interfilm cultivation conditions in the loess hilly-gully region of northern Shaanxi, a single-factor randomized block experimental design was used to set up 5 treatments,including 2 rows of millet with 2 rows of soybean intercropping(I22), 2 rows of millet with 4 rows of soybean intercropping(I24),4 rows of millet with 2 rows of soybean intercropping(I42), millet in single cropping(SG), and soybean in single cropping(SD).Characteristics such as dry matter accumulation and distribution, interspecific competitiveness, and their effects on the yield of millet and soybean under different intercropping patterns were analyzed. The results showed as follows. The dry matter accumulation of millet was significantly increased by the three intercropping treatments, and it was significantly higher in the I24treatment than that in the I42 treatment. At the booting stage, the dry matter allocation ratio to leaves was greater than that to stems. At the maturity stage, the dry matter allocation ratio to spikes was greater than that to leaves and stems. The dry matter allocation ratios of the three intercropping treatments were significantly higher than those of the single cropping, with I24 and I22treatments being significantly higher than the I42 treatment. The dry matter accumulation of soybean was significantly increased by the three intercropping treatments. At the flowering stage, the dry matter allocation ratio to leaves was greater than that to stems.At the maturity stage, the allocation ratio to pods was greater than that to the stems and leaves. Among the three intercropping treatments, the pod allocation ratios were significantly higher than those of the single cropping, with no significant differences observed among the intercropping treatments themselves. The land equivalent ratio for the I24 and I42 intercropping treatments was 1.10 and 1.06, respectively, increasing land productivity by 6%-10% and highlighting the benefits of intercropping. The I22intercropping treatment had a land equivalent ratio of 1.00, indicating no intercropping advantage. Under the intercropping treatments, millet demonstrated stronger interspecific competitiveness(AG>0) and a higher yield nutrient competition ratio(CRG>1) than soybean. The I24 treatment had significantly lower interspecific competition than the I42 and I22 treatments. In conclusion,the 2 rows of millet with 2 rows of soybean intercropping was the most effective millet soybean intercropping method in the loess hilly-gully region of northern Shaanxi. To study the damage mechanism and ultrasonic properties of thermal-damaged engineered cementitious composites(ECC), ultrasonic monitoring and compression tests were performed on ECC specimens exposed to high temperatures(20, 105, 250, 400, 600 and 800 ℃). Results indicate that the changes in waveform amplitude, main frequency amplitude, energy, and compressive strength of thermal-damaged ECC are the same; the energy ratio in the 40~50 kHz band is the largest, which is about 15% of the total energy in the 0~300 kHz band. The wave velocities of ECC specimens heated from 20 to 250 ℃ show no significant changes, and decrease when heated above 400 ℃. The reason can be relate to free water vaporizes, hydration products decompose, and aggregate physical properties change at high temperature, which leads to the increasing of pore vapor pressure and damaging to the aggregate interfaces, thus the internal cracks in the ECC are generated and expanded. Scanning electron microscopy test results indicate that PVA fiber softens, melts, and vaporizes with increasing temperature. Voids and pores are generated in the ECC matrix and connect with cracks forming into networks, which are beneficial to the releasing of the pore vapor pressure and reducing the thermal damage of ECC. Results also show that the ultrasonic characteristics can effectively reflect the thermal damage evolution process in the ECC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Objective·To investigate the anti-cancer effects of DNA nanoflowers (DF) loaded with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and doxorubicin (DOX) on mice Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) cells. Methods·The DF loaded with HRP (HRP-DF) was synthesized by rolling circle amplification (RCA) reaction and DOX was loaded to prepare DOX/HRP-DF, the physical properties of which were detected by scanning electron microscopy and laser particle sizer. In vitro drug release capacity of DOX/HRP-DF was tested with acid buffer solution. The safety of DOX/HRP-DF was evaluated by CCK-8 assay to detect the cytotoxicity of 16HBE cells treated with DOX/HRP-DF and free DOX at different time points. Under anoxic conditions, the oxygen production capacity of DOX/HRP-DF in LLC cells was detected by using the oxygen-sensitive probe, and the effects of different dosages of free DOX, DOX-DF and DOX/HRP-DF on the proliferation capacity of LLC cells were examined by CCK-8 assay. The effects of DOX/HRP-DF on the migration and invasion of LLC cells were detected by scratching assay and Transwell assay in the experimental group treated with different dosages of DOX/HRP-DF and the control group treated with Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Results·DOX/HRP-DF were successfully prepared and observed as flower-like structures under scanning electron microscopy with uniform size. The average diameter and potential of DOX/HRP-DF were (415.90±9.32) nm and (-17.43±1.20) mV, respectively. DOX/HRP-DF had a DOX loading of (38.19±0.39)% with good pH-sensitive drug release properties. DOX/HRP-DF could significantly reduce the toxic effect of DOX on human normal cells. The results of Laser confocal microscopy showed that DOX/HRP-DF could effectively alleviate the hypoxic condition of LLC cells. CCK-8 assay results showed that the proliferation rate of LLC cells in the DOX/HRP-DF group was significantly lower in a dose-dependent manner, compared to the free DOX and DOX-DF groups (P<0.05). The results of scratching assay showed that the scratch healing rate of the DOX/HRP-DF group was lower than that of PBS group in a dose-dependent manner (P<0.05). Transwell experiments showed the number of LLC cells passing through Matrigel gel in the DOX/HRP-DF group was reduced in a dose-dependent manner, compared with the PBS group (P< 0.05). Conclusion·The successfully prepared DOX/HRP-DF could effectively deliver drugs, and alleviate hypoxia in the tumor microenvironment, and significantly inhibit the proliferation, migration and invasion ability of LLC cells, which is expected to provide new ideas for lung cancer treatment.
