The improper use of organophosphate pesticides (OPs) can lead to residue posing a serious threat to human health and environment. Therefore, the development of a simple, portable, and sensitive detection method is crucial. Herein, a bioenzyme-nanozyme-chromogen all-in-one paper-based sensor was synthesized. Initially, the Ce/Zr-MOF with peroxidase-like activity was grown on filter paper (FP) using in-situ solvent thermal method, resulting in Ce/Zr-MOF@FP. Subsequently, the AChE-ChO-TMB system was immobilized onto Ce/Zr-MOF@FP using biocompatible gelatin, which enhanced cascade catalysis efficiency through the proximity effect. Based on the inhibition principle of OPs on AChE, we integrated this sensor with Python-based image recognition algorithm to achieve detection of OPs. Using 2,2-dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate (DDVP) as a model of OPs, it has good detection performance with a detection limit of 0.32 ng mL−1 and a recovery rate range of 95–107%. Folk paper-cut art is one of the bright pearls, with a wide range of shapes and a long history, that serves as a model for modern visual communication design in China and encourages designers to think creatively. Integrating emotional elements into a design not only can elicit an emotional response from the viewer but also can make works created using traditional rational thinking more vivid, energetic, and touching. The main focus of this research is on the path and method of incorporating folk paper-cut emotion into visual communication design. The research status of various feature extraction methods and image recognition methods at home and abroad is examined in depth in this paper. For the recognition of distorted images that are not transformed by mathematics, some effective methods are proposed. They are used to recognize artistic images of paper-cut patterns because they can extract effective features that are not affected by translation, rotation, scale change, or small deformation. Experiments have shown that they have a positive impact. The use of folk paper-cut art in visual communication design not only improves the quality of design work but also generates new ideas for the transmission and development of other traditional Chinese cultures. Vitamin D deficiency has been associated with various diseases and adverse health outcomes, including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. Currently, the majority of vitamin D testing is conducted in large-scale laboratories upon the request of a physician as part of an annual panel of blood tests. In this paper, we present a novel paper-based microfluidic system that enables the rapid quantification of vitamin D levels on a portable platform. The system comprises a smartphone accessory, an app, and a test strip that allows for the colorimetric detection of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 using a gold-nanoparticle-based immunoassay. We demonstrate that the system can accurately measure the physiological levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D with an accuracy higher than 25 nM and a precision of 10 nM. We compared our system with the well-established ELISA test kits for serum samples of unknown concentration and demonstrated the equivalency of the obtained results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Visual individual recognition requires animals to distinguish among conspecifics based on appearance. Though visual individual recognition has been reported in a range of taxa including primates, birds, and insects, the features that animals require to discriminate between individuals are not well understood. Northern paper wasp females, Polistes fuscatus, possess individually distinctive color patterns on their faces, which mediate individual recognition. However, it is currently unclear what role color plays in the facial recognition system of this species. Thus, we sought to test two possible roles of color in wasp facial recognition. On one hand, color may be important simply because it creates a pattern. If this is the case, then wasps should perform similarly when discriminating color or grayscale images of the same faces. Alternatively, color itself may be important for recognition of an image as a "face", which would predict poorer performance on grayscale discrimination relative to color images. We found wasps performed significantly better when discriminating between color faces compared to grayscale versions of the same faces. In fact, wasps trained on grayscale faces did not perform better than chance, indicating that color is necessary for the recognition of an image as a face by the wasp visual system. This paper aims to craft adversarial queries for image retrieval, which uses image features for similarity measurement. Many commonly used methods are developed in the context of image classification. However, these methods, which attack prediction probabilities, only exert an indirect influence on the image features and are thus found less effective when being applied to the retrieval problem. In designing an attack method specifically for image retrieval, we introduce opposite-direction feature attack (ODFA), a white-box attack approach that directly attacks query image features to generate adversarial queries. As the name implies, the main idea underpinning ODFA is to impel the original image feature to the opposite direction, similar to a U-turn. This simple idea is experimentally evaluated on five retrieval datasets. We show that the adversarial queries generated by ODFA cause true matches no longer to be seen at the top ranks, and the attack success rate is consistently higher than classifier attack methods. In addition, our method of creating adversarial queries can be extended for multi-scale query inputs and is generalizable to other retrieval models without foreknowing their weights, i.e., the black-box setting. In this paper, the technique of image recognition algorithm is used to conduct an in-depth study and analysis of the intelligent classification and recycling system of solid waste and to optimize the design of its system. The network structure and detection principle of the YOLO target detection algorithm based on convolutional neural nets are analysed, images of construction solid waste are collected as a dataset, and the image dataset is expanded using data enhancement techniques, and the target objects in the dataset are labelled and used to train their own YOLO detection models. To facilitate testing the images and to design a YOLO algorithm-based construction solid waste target detection system. Using the detection system for construction solid waste recognition, the YOLO model can accurately detect the location, class, and confidential information of the target object in the image. Image recognition is a technique to recognize images by capturing real-life images through devices and performing feature extraction, and this technique has been widely used since its inception. The deep learning-based classification algorithm for recyclable solid waste studied in this paper can classify solid waste efficiently and accurately, solving the problem that people do not know how to classify solid waste in daily life. The convolutional layer, pooling layer, and fully connected layer in a convolutional neural network are responsible for feature extraction, reducing the number of parameters, integrating features into high-level features, and finally classifying them by SoftMax classifier in turn. However, the actual situation is intricate and often the result is not obtained as envisioned, and the use of migration learning can be a good way to improve the overfitting phenomenon. In this paper, the combination of lazy optimizer and lookahead can improve the generalization ability and fitting speed as well as greatly improve the accuracy and stability. The experimental results are tested, and it is found that the solid waste classification accuracy can be as high as 95% when the VGG19 model is selected and the optimizer is combined. For the past few years, sweat analysis for health monitoring has attracted increasing attention benefiting from wearable technology. In related research, the sensitive detection of uric acid (UA) in sweat with complex composition based on surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) for the diagnosis of gout is still a significant challenge. Herein, we report a visualized and intelligent wearable sweat platform for SERS detection of UA in sweat. In this wearable platform, the spiral channel consisted of colorimetric paper with Ag nanowires (AgNWs) that could capture sweat for SERS measurement. With the help of photos from a smartphone, the pH value and volume of sweat could be quantified intelligently based on the image recognition technique. To diagnose gout, SERS spectra of human sweat with UA are collected in this wearable intelligent platform and analyzed by artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. The results indicate that the artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm exhibits good identification of gout with high accuracy at 97%. Our work demonstrates that SERS-AI in a wearable intelligent sweat platform could be a feasible strategy for diagnosis of gout, which expands research on sweat analysis for comfortable and noninvasive health monitoring. Addressing the pressing demand for rapid and inexpensive coagulation testing in cardiovascular care, this study introduces a novel application of repurposed COVID-19 rapid antigen tests (RATs) as paper-based lateral flow assays (LFAs) combined with machine learning for coagulation status evaluation. By further developing a mobile app prototype, we present a platform that enables clinicians to perform immediate and accurate anticoagulant dosing adjustments using existing post-pandemic resources. Our proof-of-concept employs a random forest machine learning classifier to interpret image feature variations on RAT NC membrane, correlating red blood cell (RBC) wicked diffusion distance in recalcified citrated whole blood with changes in coagulative viscosity, easily interpreted. Enhanced by confocal imaging studies of paper microfluidics, our approach provides insights into the mechanisms dissecting coagulation components, achieving high classification precision, recall, and F1-scores. The inverse relationship between RBC wicked diffusion distance and enoxaparin concentration paves the way for machine learning to inform real-time dose prescription adjustments, aligning with individual patient profiles to optimize therapeutic outcomes. This study not only demonstrates the potential of leveraging surplus RATs for coagulation management but also exemplifies a cost-effective, rapid, and smart strategy to enhance clinical decision-making in the post-pandemic era. Tomato disease image recognition plays a crucial role in agricultural production. Today, whilemachine vision methods based on deep learning have achieved some success indiseaserecognition, theystill faceseveralchallenges. These include issues such as imbalanced datasets, unclear disease features, small inter-class differences, and large intra-class variations. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a method for classifying and recognizing tomato leaf diseases based on machine vision. First, to enhance the disease feature details in images, a piecewise linear transformation method is used for image enhancement, and oversampling is employed to expand the dataset, compensating for the imbalanced dataset. Next, this paper introduces a convolutional block with a dual attention mechanismcalled DAC Block, which is used to construct a lightweight model named LDAMNet. The DAC Block innovatively uses Hybrid Channel Attention (HCA) and Coordinate Attention (CSA) to process channel information and spatial information of input images respectively, enhancing the model's feature extraction capabilities. Additionally, this paper proposes a Robust Cross-Entropy (RCE) loss function that is robust tonoisylabels, aimedat reducing the impact of noisy labels on the LDAM Net model during training. Experimental results show that this method achieves an average recognition accuracy of 98.71% on the tomato disease dataset, effectively retaining disease information in images and capturing disease areas. Furthermore, the method also demonstrates strong recognition capabilities on rice crop disease datasets, indicating good generalization performance and the ability to function effectively in disease recognition across different crops. The research findings of this paper provide new ideas and methods for the field of crop disease recognition. With the advantages of low power consumption, flexibility, and high readability against bright ambiance, electrophoretic displays (EPDs) have wide application prospects in the fields of education, smart supermarkets, Internet of Things, smart homes, wearable devices, etc. EPDs suffer from a severe history dependence during grayscale switching, which results in annoying ghost images. However, currently, it is difficult to distinguish diverse types of ghost images automatically; thus, lookup-tables (LUTs) for multi-grayscale waveform design cannot be effectively generated but require cumbersome manual adjustment. In this article, we proposed to adopt a convolutional neural network (CNN) to automatically recognize ghost images, based on which, LUTs that could suppress ghost images and achieve accurate grayscales were automatically generated for waveform design. Moreover, the workforce for manual adjustment was significantly saved. The results suggest that the CNN is a powerful tool for EPDs to achieve better image quality, as well as less manual cost. This paper presents a textile defect detection method that utilizes a multi‐proportion spatial attention mechanism and channel memory feature fusion network by addressing the difficulties presented by complicated shapes and large size variations. In particular, a multi‐proportion spatial attention mechanism (MPAM) is introduced, which employs multi‐proportion convolution to improve the backbone network's capacity to detect non‐uniform structural defects. Additionally, the generality and adaptability of the model are enhanced by a multi‐scale spatial pyramid pooling structure (MS‐SPP). Second, a channel attention mechanism‐based memory feature fusion network is developed, which incorporates channel attention to adaptive weight the feature channels, focusing on crucial information channels to efficiently fuse contextual features and enhance the model's memory capacity. Finally, a novel efficient Wise‐IoU (EWIoU) loss function is proposed, which utilizes a dynamic non‐monotonic focusing mechanism to increase the penalty on distance measurement, thus enhancing the model's detection performance. Experiment findings on the ZJU‐Leaper and Tianchi textile datasets reveal that compared to the YOLOv7 baseline, the method in this paper has an increase of 6.5 and 2 percentage points, respectively, and the detection accuracy is better than most existing networks. With the development of air transport and improved ecological environment, bird strikes on aircraft have become a significant threat to flight safety. Accurate and efficient identification of airport birds can enhance the efficiency of airport staff in bird strike prevention. Public datasets for bird classification are typically limited in size and not specifically tailored for airport birds. Therefore, this paper introduces a self‐built airport bird dataset, ADB‐20, and proposes an image recognition method based on an improved ResNet model. First, this paper replaces traditional convolution in the residual structure with the Pyramidal Convolution method, ensuring the extraction of multiscale features. Second, it introduces the Parallel Convolutional Block Attention Moduleto the backbone network, considering features in both channel and spatial dimensions. Last, the Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling module is incorporated to capture contextual information at various scales. Experimental results show that the PPA‐ResNet model achieves an accuracy of 95.2%, with a recall of 93.7%, a precision of 96.8%, and an F1 score of 95.2% on the ADB‐20 dataset. The proposed algorithm significantly enhances classification performance compared to other mainstream image classification algorithms. These indicators confirm that the results of this study can precisely identify airport birds, aid airport personnel in making informed decisions, and guarantee the safety of aviation transport. The growing adoption of electric propulsion systems in Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASSs) necessitates advancements in shipboard electronics for safe, efficient, and reliable operation. These advancements are crucial for tasks such as real-time sensor data processing, control algorithms for autonomous navigation, and robust decision-making capabilities. This study investigates research trends in MASSs, using bibliographic analysis to identify policy and future research directions in this evolving field. We analyze 3363 MASS-related articles from the Web of Science database, employing co-occurrence word analysis and latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) topic modeling. The findings reveal a rapidly growing field dominated by image recognition research. Keywords such as "datum", "image", and "detection" suggest a focus on collecting and analyzing marine data, particularly with deep learning for synthetic aperture radar imagery. LDA confirms this, with "image analysis and classification research" as the leading topic. The study also identifies national and organizational leaders in MASS research. However, research on Arctic routes lags behind that on other areas. This work provides valuable insights for policymakers and researchers, promoting a deeper understanding of MASSs and informing future policy and research agendas regarding the integration of electric propulsion systems within the maritime industry. The identification of damage to concrete bridge surfaces is of great significance to maintaining the durability and reliability of bridges. However, it is difficult to identify small areas of damage, especially in high-resolution images. To conduct damage identification research in a targeted manner, this paper proposes a method of multidamage identification in high-resolution images based on You Only Look Once version 5 (YOLOv5). In this paper, a data set labeled with four types of damage (crack, spallation, hole, and rebar) is used for training, validation, and testing. To ensure that the network adequately learns the damage features, the high-resolution images are cropped into subimages via the autoadaptive window cropping method (AWCM) proposed in this paper. The cropping method can crop images according to the label information and protect the damage features from destruction during the cropping process. To avoid overfitting, it is necessary to balance the volume of different types of damage. After balancing, the count for each category is as follows: crack (4,980), spallation (5,225), hole (5,211) and rebar (5,020). The balanced data set can be used to train the deep learning network and construct the multidamage identification model. After identification, the subimages, and the prediction boxes of damages in them are restored to their original high-resolution images. The results show that the mean average precision (mAP) of all classes is 94.2%, and the values for cracks, spallation, holes, and rebars are 86.9%, 98.1%, 92.3%, and 99.4%, respectively, which indicates that the proposed method outperforms the other three methods (inputting original images directly, the sliding window cropping method, and the random centroid cropping method). In new energy battery manufacturing, machine vision is widely used in automated assembly scenarios for key parts. To improve the accuracy and real‐time multi‐target positioning recognition of flexible thin parts, this paper proposes a multi‐level feature fusion template matching algorithm based on the Gaussian pyramid. Firstly, the algorithm constructs a Gaussian pyramid by multi‐scale image construction. Secondly, considering the image features of each layer of the pyramid, this paper uses the grey‐based Fast Normalized Matching algorithm to obtain coarse positioning coordinates on the upper layer, and the improved Linemod‐2D algorithm is applied to the bottom layer image to get accurate positioning coordinates. Finally, the positioning coordinates returned from each layer are fused to obtain the final positioning coordinate. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves excellent performance in nickel plate positioning and recognition. It exhibits satisfactory performance in nickel sheet localization and recognition. In terms of angular error, repeat accuracy, and matching speed, it competes favourably with Halcon, VisionMaster, and SCISmart. Kidney diseases pose a significant global health challenge, requiring precise diagnostic tools to improve patient outcomes. This study addresses this need by investigating three main categories of renal diseases: kidney stones, cysts, and tumors. Utilizing a comprehensive dataset of 12,446 CT whole abdomen and urogram images, this study developed an advanced AI-driven diagnostic system specifically tailored for kidney disease classification. The innovative approach of this study combines the strengths of traditional convolutional neural network architecture (AlexNet) with modern advancements in ConvNeXt architectures. By integrating AlexNet's robust feature extraction capabilities with ConvNeXt's advanced attention mechanisms, the paper achieved an exceptional classification accuracy of 99.85%. A key advancement in this study's methodology lies in the strategic amalgamation of features from both networks. This paper concatenated hierarchical spatial information and incorporated self-attention mechanisms to enhance classification performance. Furthermore, the study introduced a custom optimization technique inspired by the Adam optimizer, which dynamically adjusts the step size based on gradient norms. This tailored optimizer facilitated faster convergence and more effective weight updates, imporving model performance. The model of this study demonstrated outstanding performance across various metrics, with an average precision of 99.89%, recall of 99.95%, and specificity of 99.83%. These results highlight the efficacy of the hybrid architecture and optimization strategy in accurately diagnosing kidney diseases. This paper aims to explore the possibility of utilizing vision transformers (ViTs) for on-edge medical diagnostics by experimenting with the Kvasir-Capsule image classification dataset, a large-scale image dataset of gastrointestinal diseases. Quantization techniques made available through TensorFlow Lite (TFLite), including post-training float-16 (F16) quantization and quantization-aware training (QAT), are applied to achieve reductions in model size, without compromising performance. The seven ViT models selected for this study are EfficientFormerV2S2, EfficientViT_B0, EfficientViT_M4, MobileViT_V2_050, MobileViT_V2_100, MobileViT_V2_175, and RepViT_M11. Three metrics are considered when analyzing a model: (i) F1-score, (ii) model size, and (iii) performance-to-size ratio, where performance is the F1-score and size is the model size in megabytes (MB). In terms of F1-score, we show that MobileViT_V2_175 with F16 quantization outperforms all other models with an F1-score of 0.9534. On the other hand, MobileViT_V2_050 trained using QAT was scaled down to a model size of 1.70 MB, making it the smallest model amongst the variations this paper examined. MobileViT_V2_050 also achieved the highest performance-to-size ratio of 41.25. Despite preferring smaller models for latency and memory concerns, medical diagnostics cannot afford poor-performing models. We conclude that MobileViT_V2_175 with F16 quantization is our best-performing model, with a small size of 27.47 MB, providing a benchmark for lightweight models on the Kvasir-Capsule dataset. The International Skin Imaging Collaboration (ISIC) datasets are pivotal resources for researchers in machine learning for medical image analysis, especially in skin cancer detection. These datasets contain tens of thousands of dermoscopic photographs, each accompanied by gold-standard lesion diagnosis metadata. Annual challenges associated with ISIC datasets have spurred significant advancements, with research papers reporting metrics surpassing those of human experts. Skin cancers are categorized into melanoma and non-melanoma types, with melanoma posing a greater threat due to its rapid potential for metastasis if left untreated. This paper aims to address challenges in skin cancer detection via visual inspection and manual examination of skin lesion images, processes historically known for their laboriousness. Simulated data play an important role in SAR target recognition, particularly under zero-shot learning (ZSL) conditions caused by the lack of training samples. The traditional SAR simulation method is based on manually constructing target 3D models for electromagnetic simulation, which is costly and limited by the target's prior knowledge base. Also, the unavoidable discrepancy between simulated SAR and measured SAR makes the traditional simulation method more limited for target recognition. This paper proposes an innovative SAR simulation method based on a visual language model and generative diffusion model by extracting target semantic information from optical remote sensing images and transforming it into a 3D model for SAR simulation to address the challenge of SAR target recognition under ZSL conditions. Additionally, to reduce the domain shift between the simulated domain and the measured domain, we propose a domain adaptation method based on dynamic weight domain loss and classification loss. The effectiveness of semantic information-based 3D models has been validated on the MSTAR dataset and the feasibility of the proposed framework has been validated on the self-built civilian vehicle dataset. More and more underwater robots are deployed to investigate marine biodiversity autonomously, and tools are needed by underwater robots to discover and acknowledge marine life. This paper has proposed a convolutional neural network-based method for intelligent fish detection and recognition with a dataset used for training and testing generated and augmented from an open-source Fish Database regarding 6 different types. Firstly, to improve image quality, a hybrid image enhancement algorithm is used to preprocess underwater images with a weighted fusion strategy of multiple traditional methodologies and comparisons have been made to prove the effectiveness according to various indexes. Secondly, to increase detection and recognition accuracy, different attention modules are integrated into the YOLOv5m network structure and the convolutional block attention module(CBAM) has outperformed other modules in recall rate and mAP while maintaining the capability of real-time processing. Lastly, to meet real-time requirements, lightweight adjustments have been made to CBAM-YOLOv5m with the GSConv module and C3Ghost module and a nearly 25% reduction in network parameters and a 20% reduction in computational consumption are obtained. Besides, the lightweight network has realized better accuracy than YOLOv5m. The complex underwater environment, such as foreign object occlusion and dim light, causes the feature of underwater objects to be seriously missing. And ripple causes deformation of objects, which greatly increases the difficulty of feature extraction. Existing object recognition models cannot accurately recognize obscured objects due to incomplete features of underwater objects. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes an underwater occlusion object recognition method based on two-stage image reconstruction strategy. Firstly, the salient feature extraction network and the relevant environment feature extraction network are constructed to extract the salient feature and the relevant environment feature respectively. Secondly, the two-stage image reconstruction model with gradient penalty constraints is constructed to obtain finely reconstructed images. Finally, the object recognition with feature adaptive boundary regression is constructed to realize the recognition of finely reconstructed images. To prove the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, it is compared with the existing object recognition model in datasets with different levels of complexity. The average recognition accuracy of the proposed model is 78.36%, and the recognition rate is improved by 14.16% compared to the original image. The recognition of food images is of great significance for nutrition monitoring, food retrieval and food recommendation. However, the accuracy of recognition had not been high enough due to the complex background of food images and the characteristics of small inter-class differences and large intra-class differences. To solve these problems, this paper proposed a food image recognition method based on transfer learning and ensemble learning. Firstly, generic image features were extracted by using the convolutional neural network models (VGG19, ResNet50, MobileNet V2, AlexNet) pre-trained on the ImageNet dataset. Secondly, the 4 pre-trained models were transferred to the food image dataset for model fine-tuning. Finally, different basic learner combination strategies were adopted to establish the ensemble model and classify feature information. In this paper, several kinds of experiments were performed to compare the results of food image recognition between single models and ensemble models on food-11 dataset. The experimental results demonstrated that the accuracy of the ensemble model was the highest, reaching 96.88%, which was superior to any base learner. Therefore, the convolutional neural network model based on transfer learning and ensemble learning has strong learning ability and generalization ability, and it is feasible and practical to apply the method to food image recognition. Remote sensing applications have a long history in treeline research. Recent reviews have examined the topic mainly from a methodological point of view. Here, we propose a question‐oriented review of remote sensing in treeline ecology to relate remote sensing methodologies to key ecological metrics and identify knowledge gaps and promising areas for future research. We performed a meta‐analysis to assess the role of remote sensing as a tool for measuring spatial patterns and dynamics of alpine and Arctic treeline ecotone globally. We assessed the geographic distribution, scale of analysis, and relationships between remote sensing techniques and treeline ecological metrics through co‐occurrence mapping and multivariate statistics. Our analysis revealed that only 10% of treeline ecology studies applied remote sensing tools, often associated with the keyword 'climate change'. Monitoring studies adopted coarser spatial resolutions over longer temporal extents in comparison with other treeline studies. A multiscale and multi‐sensor spatial approach was implemented in just 19% of papers. Long‐term research commonly relied on aerial and oblique photography to measure treeline shifts through photointerpretation within a multidisciplinary framework. More recent treeline dynamics were often quantified using greenness trends derived from the pixel‐based classification of satellite images. Many recent short‐term studies focused on delineating tree scale metrics derived from the object‐based classification of uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) images or LiDAR data. Over the past decade, high‐resolution and low‐cost UAV remote sensing has emerged as an interesting opportunity to fill the gap between local‐scale ecological patterns and coarse‐resolution satellite sensors. Additionally, treeline remote sensing applications would strongly benefit from multidisciplinary frameworks that integrate field studies in ecology and environmental science. Ground-glass nodules (GGN) are the main manifestation of early lung cancer, and accurate and efficient identification of ground-glass pulmonary nodules is of great significance for the treatment of lung diseases. In response to the problem of traditional machine learning requiring manual feature extraction, and most deep learning models applied to 2D image classification, this paper proposes a Transformer-based recognition model for ground-glass nodules from the view of global 3D asymmetry feature representation. Firstly, a 3D convolutional neural network is used as the backbone to extract the features of the three-dimensional CT-image block of pulmonary nodules automatically; secondly, positional encoding information is added to the extracted feature map and input into the Transformer encoder layer for further extraction of global 3D asymmetry features, which can preserve more spatial information and obtain higher-order asymmetry feature representation; finally, the extracted asymmetry features are entered into a support vector machine or ELM-KNN model to further improve the recognition ability of the model. The experimental results show that the recognition accuracy of the proposed method reaches 95.89%, which is 4.79, 2.05, 4.11, and 2.74 percentage points higher than the common deep learning models of AlexNet, DenseNet121, GoogLeNet, and VGG19, respectively; compared with the latest models proposed in the field of pulmonary nodule classification, the accuracy has been improved by 2.05, 2.05, and 0.68 percentage points, respectively, which can effectively improve the recognition accuracy of ground-glass nodules. The rapid increase in the number of vehicles has led to increasing traffic congestion, traffic accidents, and motor vehicle crime rates. The management of various parking lots has also become increasingly challenging. Vehicle-type recognition technology can reduce the workload of humans in vehicle management operations. Therefore, the application of image technology for vehicle-type recognition is of great significance for integrated traffic management. In this paper, an improved faster region with convolutional neural network features (Faster R-CNN) model was proposed for vehicle-type recognition. Firstly, the output features of different convolution layers were combined to improve the recognition accuracy. Then, the average precision (AP) of the recognition model was improved through the contextual features of the original image and the object bounding box optimization strategy. Finally, the comparison experiment used the vehicle image dataset of three vehicle types, including cars, sports utility vehicles (SUVs), and vans. The experimental results show that the improved recognition model can effectively identify vehicle types in the images. The AP of the three vehicle types is 83.2%, 79.2%, and 78.4%, respectively, and the mean average precision (mAP) is 1.7% higher than that of the traditional Faster R-CNN model. Since plant diseases occurring during the growth process are a significant factor leading to the decline in both yield and quality, the classification and detection of plant leaf diseases, followed by timely prevention and control measures, are crucial for safeguarding plant productivity and quality. As the traditional convolutional neural network structure cannot effectively recognize similar plant leaf diseases, in order to more accurately identify the diseases on plant leaves, this paper proposes an effective plant disease image recognition method aECA-ResNet34. This method is based on ResNet34, and in the first and the last layers of this network, respectively, we add this paper's improved aECAnet with the symmetric structure. aECA-ResNet34 is compared with different plant disease classification models on the peanut dataset constructed in this paper and the open-source PlantVillage dataset. The experimental results show that the aECA-ResNet34 model proposed in this paper has higher accuracy, better performance, and better robustness. The emergence of digital media has changed the way people live and learn. In the context of the new era, digital media is gradually integrating into people's life and learning. Digital media contains massive images, and fine-grained image recognition for digital media has become an important topic. The challenge of fine-grained image recognition is that the difference between different categories is small, and the difference between the same categories is sometimes large. This work designs a fine-grained image recognition based on feature enhancement (FIRFE). This extracts as much information as possible from fine-grained images under weak supervision to improve the recognition accuracy. When the existing methods extract image features, the feature extraction other than the most significant local feature is not enough. This deals with local features alone and ignores the relationship between features. First, this paper designs a feature enhancement and suppression module to process image features. Secondly, this paper designs pyramid residual convolution. This uses different scale convolution kernels to capture different levels of features in the scene. Thirdly, this paper uses the softpool method to rationally allocate the information weight in the pooling process. Fourth, this paper uses feature focus module to mine more features. This focuses on obtaining similar information in multiple local features as discriminant features to further improve the recognition. Fifthly, this paper carried out systematic experiments on the designed method. The proposed method achieves 94.3%/95.7% accuracy, 92.9%/94.1% recall, and 91.4%/92.2% F1 score on different datasets. Aiming at solving the issue of blurred images and difficult recognition of digital meters encountered by inspection robots in the inspection process, this paper proposes a deep-learning-based method for blurred image restoration and LED digital identification. Firstly, fast Fourier transform (FFT) is used to perform blur detection on the acquired images. Then, the blurred images are recovered using spatial-attention-improved adversarial neural networks. Finally, the digital meter region is extracted using the polygon-YOLOv5 model and corrected via perspective transformation. The digits in the image are extracted using the YOLOv5s model, and then recognized by the CRNN for digit recognition. It is experimentally verified that the improved adversarial neural network in this paper achieves 26.562 in the PSNR metric and 0.861 in the SSIM metric. The missing rate of the digital meter reading method proposed in the paper is only 1% and the accuracy rate is 98%. The method proposed in this paper effectively overcomes the image blurring problem caused by the detection robot during the detection process. This method solves the problems of inaccurate positioning and low digital recognition accuracy of LED digital meters in complex and changeable environments, and provides a new method for reading digital meters. Convolution Neural Networks (CNN) can quickly diagnose COVID-19 patients by analyzing computed tomography (CT) images of the lung, thereby effectively preventing the spread of COVID-19. However, the existing CNN-based COVID-19 diagnosis models do consider the problem that the lung images of COVID-19 patients in the early stage and incubation period are extremely similar to those of the non-COVID-19 population. Which reduces the model's classification sensitivity, resulting in a higher probability of the model misdiagnosing COVID-19 patients as non-COVID-19 people. To solve the problem, this paper first attempts to apply triplet loss and center loss to the field of COVID-19 image classification, combining softmax loss to design a jointly supervised metric loss function COVID Triplet-Center Loss (COVID-TCL). Triplet loss can increase inter-class discreteness, and center loss can improve intra-class compactness. Therefore, COVID-TCL can help the CNN-based model to extract more discriminative features and strengthen the diagnostic capacity of COVID-19 patients in the early stage and incubation period. Meanwhile, we use the extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) as a classifier to design a COVID-19 images classification model of CNN-XGBoost architecture, to further improve the CNN-based model's classification effect and operation efficiency. The experiment shows that the classification accuracy of the model proposed in this paper is 97.41%, and the sensitivity is 97.61%, which is higher than the other 7 reference models. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is an active microwave sensor that has attracted widespread attention due to its ability to observe the ground around the clock. Research on multi-scale and multi-category target detection methods holds great significance in the fields of maritime resource management and wartime reconnaissance. However, complex scenes often influence SAR object detection, and the diversity of target scales also brings challenges to research. This paper proposes a multi-category SAR image object detection model, CCDS-YOLO, based on YOLOv5s, to address these issues. Embedding the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) in the feature extraction part of the backbone network enables the model's ability to extract and fuse spatial information and channel information. The 1 × 1 convolution in the feature pyramid network and the first layer convolution of the detection head are replaced with the expanded convolution, Coordinate Conventional (CoordConv), forming a CRD-FPN module. This module more accurately perceives the spatial details of the feature map, enhancing the model's ability to handle regression tasks compared to traditional convolution. In the detector segment, a decoupled head is utilized for feature extraction, offering optimal and effective feature information for the classification and regression branches separately. The traditional Non-Maximum Suppression (NMS) is substituted with the Soft Non-Maximum Suppression (Soft-NMS), successfully reducing the model's duplicate detection rate for compact objects. Based on the experimental findings, the approach presented in this paper demonstrates excellent results in multi-category target recognition for SAR images. Empirical comparisons are conducted on the filtered MSAR dataset. Compared with YOLOv5s, the performance of CCDS-YOLO has been significantly improved. The mAP@0.5 value increases by 3.3% to 92.3%, the precision increases by 3.4%, and the mAP@0.5:0.95 increases by 6.7%. With the rapid advancement of digital technology, three-dimensional designs of Grid Information Models (GIMs) are increasingly applied in the power industry. Addressing the challenges of extracting key parameters during the GIM's process for power grid equipment, this paper explores an innovative approach that integrates artificial intelligence with image recognition technologies into power design engineering. The traditional methods of "template matching, feature extraction and classification, and symbol recognition" have enabled the automated processing of electrical grid equipment engineering drawings, allowing for the extraction of key information related to grid equipment. However, these methods still rely on manually designed and selected feature regions, which limits their potential for achieving full automation. This study introduces an optimized algorithm that combines enhanced Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with Depth-First Search (DFS) strategies, and is specifically designed for the automated extraction of crucial GIM parameters from power grid equipment. Implemented on the design schematics of power engineering projects, this algorithm utilizes an improved CNN to precisely identify component symbols on schematics, and continues to extract text data associated with these symbols. Utilizing a scene text detector, the text data are matched with corresponding component symbols. Finally, the DFS strategy is applied to identify connections between these component symbols in the diagram, thus facilitating the automatic extraction of key GIM parameters. Experimental results demonstrate that this optimized algorithm can accurately identify basic GIM parameters, providing technical support for the automated extraction of parameters using the GIM. This study's recognition accuracy is 91.31%, while a traditional CNN achieves 71.23% and a Faster R-CNN achieves 89.59%. Compared to existing research, the main innovation of this paper lies in the application of the combined enhanced CNN and DFS strategies for the extraction of GIM parameters in the power industry. This method not only improves the accuracy of parameter extraction but also significantly enhances processing speed, enabling the rapid and effective identification and extraction of critical information in complex power design environments. Fruit fly species classification is a fine-grained task as there is a small gap between species. In order to effectively identify and improve the recognition of fruit flies, a fine-grained image-recognition method based on a multi-channel self-attention mechanism was studied and a network framework for fine-grained image recognition based on deep learning was designed in this paper. In this framework, long-term and short-term memory networks are used to extract the underlying features in fruit fly fine-grained images. By inputting the underlying features in the multi-channel self-attention mechanism module, the global and local attention feature maps can be obtained.The weighted attention feature map can also be obtained by multiplying the weight of each channel and the attention feature map. The fine-grained image features of fruit flies were obtained by summing the weighted attention feature map. A softmax classifier was used to process the features and complete the recognition of the fruit fly fine-grained images. Two fine-grained image datasets of fruit flies were applied as experimental objects. Dataset 1 and Dataset 2 contain 11,778 images and 20,580 images from 46 different categories of fruit flies, respectively. The Kappa coefficient was used as the evaluation index to identify fruit fly images with different targets using the method proposed herein. The experimental results showed that, as the number of attention channels increased, the Kappa coefficient gradually increased, suggesting an improvement in the accuracy of fine-grained image recognition. The fine-grained image features extracted by introducing a multi-channel self-attention mechanism exhibited more distinct boundaries with a small amount of overlap, demonstrating strong feature extraction capabilities. When dealing with fine-grained images with either simple or complex backgrounds, the method proposed in this paper has good performance and generalization ability. Ancient murals have suffered from continuous damage over time, and especially paint loss disease. Therefore, disease labeling, as the basis for ancient mural restoration, plays an important role in the protection of cultural relics. The predominant method of disease labeling is currently manual labeling, which is highly dependent on expert experience, time consuming, inefficient and results in inconsistent accuracy of the marking effect. In this paper, we propose a labeling framework for paint loss disease of ancient murals based on hyperspectral image classification and segmentation. The proposed framework involves first the extraction of features from the hyperspectral image, and then image segmentation is performed based on the spatial features to obtain more accurate region boundaries. Then, the hyperspectral image's regions are classified based on their spatial-spectral characteristics, and the candidate areas of paint loss disease are obtained. Finally, by leveraging the true color image segmentation results, the proposed disease labeling strategy combines the results of classification and segmentation to propose the final paint loss disease labeling areas. The experimental results show that the proposed method can not only combine the hyperspectral space and spectral information effectively to obtain accurate labeling of paint loss disease, but can also mark the paint loss disease not easily observed using ordinary digital cameras. Traditional DeepLabV3+ image semantic segmentation methods face challenges in pitaya orchard environments characterized by multiple interference factors, complex image backgrounds, high computational complexity, and extensive memory consumption. This paper introduces an improved visual navigation path recognition method for pitaya orchards. Initially, DeepLabV3+ utilizes a lightweight MobileNetV2 as its primary feature extraction backbone, which is augmented with a Pyramid Split Attention (PSA) module placed after the Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling (ASPP) module. This improvement enhances the spatial feature representation of feature maps, thereby sharpening the segmentation boundaries. Additionally, an Efficient Channel Attention Network (ECANet) mechanism is integrated with the lower-level features of MobileNetV2 to reduce computational complexity and refine the clarity of target boundaries. The paper also designs a navigation path extraction algorithm, which fits the road mask regions segmented by the model to achieve precise navigation path recognition. Experimental findings show that the enhanced DeepLabV3+ model achieved a Mean Intersection over Union (MIoU) and average pixel accuracy of 95.79% and 97.81%, respectively. These figures represent increases of 0.59 and 0.41 percentage points when contrasted with the original model. Furthermore, the model's memory consumption is reduced by 85.64%, 84.70%, and 85.06% when contrasted with the Pyramid Scene Parsing Network (PSPNet), U-Net, and Fully Convolutional Network (FCN) models, respectively. This reduction makes the proposed model more efficient while maintaining high segmentation accuracy, thus supporting enhanced operational efficiency in practical applications. The test results for navigation path recognition accuracy reveal that the angle error between the navigation centerline extracted using the least squares method and the manually fitted centerline is less than 5°. Additionally, the average deviation between the road centerlines extracted under three different lighting conditions and the actual road centerline is only 2.66 pixels, with an average image recognition time of 0.10 s. Segmentation of whole slide histological images through the classification of tissue types of small fragments is an extremely relevant task in digital pathology, necessary for the development of methods for automatic analysis of whole slide histological images. The extremely large resolution of such images also makes the task of increasing image resolution relevant, which allows storing images at a reduced resolution and increasing it if necessary. Annotating whole slide images by histologists is complex and time-consuming, so it is important to make the most efficient use of the available data, both labeled and unlabeled. In this paper we propose a novel neural network method to simultaneously solve the problems of super-resolution of histological images from ×20 optical magnification to ×40 and classifying image fragments into tissue types at ×20 magnification. The use of a single encoder as well as the proposed neural network training scheme allows to achieve better results on both tasks compared to existing approaches. The PATH-DT-MSU WSS2v2 dataset presented for the first time in this paper was used for training and testing the method. On the test sample, an accuracy value of 0.971 and a balanced accuracy value of 0.916 were achieved in the classification task on 5 tissue types, for the super-resolution task, values of PSNR = 32.26 and SSIM = 0.89 were achieved. Computer-aided diagnosis of pneumonia based on deep learning is a research hotspot. However, there are some problems that the features of different sizes and different directions are not sufficient when extracting the features in lung X-ray images. A pneumonia classification model based on multi-scale directional feature enhancement MSD-Net is proposed in this paper. The main innovations are as follows: Firstly, the Multi-scale Residual Feature Extraction Module (MRFEM) is designed to effectively extract multi-scale features. The MRFEM uses dilated convolutions with different expansion rates to increase the receptive field and extract multi-scale features effectively. Secondly, the Multi-scale Directional Feature Perception Module (MDFPM) is designed, which uses a three branch structure of different sizes convolution to transmit direction feature layer by layer, and focuses on the target region to enhance the feature information. Thirdly, the Axial Compression Former Module (ACFM) is designed to perform global calculations to enhance the perception ability of global features in different directions. To verify the effectiveness of the MSD-Net, comparative experiments and ablation experiments are carried out. In the COVID-19 RADIOGRAPHY DATABASE, the Accuracy, Recall, Precision, F1 Score, and Specificity of MSD-Net are 97.76%, 95.57%, 95.52%, 95.52%, and 98.51%, respectively. In the chest X-ray dataset, the Accuracy, Recall, Precision, F1 Score and Specificity of MSD-Net are 97.78%, 95.22%, 96.49%, 95.58%, and 98.11%, respectively. Imaging satellites provide images of Earth that are collected, analyzed, and processed for both civil and military purposes. Satellite images are an important source of data, captured by artificial satellites orbiting the Earth. These images are susceptible to noise and irregular illumination, which can affect their quality. This paper proposes an improved enhancement technique that increases the visual perception of the image while preserving its details. The proposed method uses image processing techniques with contrast enhancement to improve image quality.
