In order to overcome the shortcomings of traditional agricultural cultivator opener, this paper combines digital drawing technology and digitisation to analyse the structure of cultivator opener, improves the structure of traditional cultivator opener, establishes a mathematical model of the transmission mechanism, and determines the relationship between various parameters. Furthermore, this paper differentiates the ideal motion trajectory, calculates the length of each rod through the iterative trajectory coordinates, optimises and improves the structure of the entire cultivator opener, and combines the simulation method to draw the structure. In order to verify the improvement effect of the cultivator opener, this paper uses the quadratic orthogonal rotation regression test to improve the structure of the cultivator opener designed and improved in this paper. From the experimental research, it can be seen that the cultivator opener designed in this paper can improve the uniformity of seeding depth, reduce soil disturbance, and enhance the compactness of the seedbed soil, which provides a reference for the design of the cultivator opener. Paper chromatography is a simple and harmless experiment suitable for lower secondary education. Besides the training of subject‐specific contents, paper chromatography allows the application of modelling and simulation since the submicroscopic processes can be simplified in a way that they become understandable in lower secondary education. Here, the application of digital tools in addition to the experimental performance of paper chromatography in a compulsory STEM course in grade 6 is reported. Following a series of experiments, chromatography is at first simulated by a board game and then by computer simulations. Such simulation program allows the variation of the parameters in order to explore the model and to introduce the particle concept of matter and molecular interactions. The implementation with a graphical programming environment such as Scratch also allows the programming by pupils in this age group. The article discusses the use of social media and digital technology in the works of research organization Centre for Bhutan Studies & GNH Research (CBS) to promote socio-economic, political dialogue and citizen engagement in the process of governance.

The current media digitization and artistic strength are more powerful than the previous application. Using its advanced information display methods and technologies, this paper proposed a digital museum built by integrating digital media art with AR technology, which was helpful to analyze and solve the objective problems of current museums' ecological imbalance and single-system function. Based on the principles and laws of augmented reality technology, the museum guide system is optimized. In the system evaluation experiment, firstly, the cultural relics of six kinds of materials are used as the target image to extract and identify the features of the image. In experiments, the recognition performance of three feature algorithms, Binary Robust Invariant Scalable Keypoints (BRISK), organizational retaliatory behavior (ORB), and Accelerated-KAZE (AKAZE), is compared. Among them, the ORB algorithm is superior to other algorithms in feature richness and recognition speed but is inferior to the other two algorithms in recognition accuracy. Therefore, this paper optimized the ORB algorithm based on the characteristics of the ORB algorithm. The ORB algorithm must calculate the orientation of the feature points before constructing the feature descriptor. After optimizing the parameters, the improved ORB algorithm not only has advantages in feature richness and recognition time but also improves the recognition accuracy up to 98.3%, which is 16% higher than the traditional ORB algorithm. The present paper discusses art as an environment for communicating meanings, as shared by the members of a community or culture in the late 20th and early 21st centuries; for this purpose, the paper focuses on the changes taking place in cultural production as well as the consumption practices of the digital age: more specifically, on the shift from a goods-centred economy to a service-centred economy, on the experience as a commodity, on interactive art and relational aesthetics, as well as on the emergence of a new way of production and consumption. The paper also discusses a possible modernity and the cultural differences that appear in the works of Eastern European artists (and Romanian artists in particular), works which reflect the transition from communism to post-communism and democracy. Digital technology has an essential role in the development and application of innovations within the health care system. Its application is not limited to the hospital environment but extends to the emergency medical services system. The experimental phase of the shift to electronic emergency medical services documentation was performed within the Azienda Sanitaria Universitaria Friuli Centrale of Udine (Italy), a local health authority covering about 533 000 inhabitants. Considering the results of this study, we believe it is important to continue to update the methods of data collection and analysis in correlation with the management and outcomes of the patients. Abstract: The aim of this article is to investigate the impact of digital technologies on writing and reading within an educational rather than business environment. It explores the affordances of writing and reading on paper and those of writing on a keyboard and reading on a screen. The analysis is based on an exploratory study carried out with a class of Masters Students in Multimedia Communication and Technologies of Information at the University of Udine (Italy) who were asked to write an essay on this topic. The methodology applied in this study is qualitative content analysis of the essays produced by the students. The principal results of this study show that reading and writing competencies are changing with the use of digital technologies but that paper and digital interactions are not mutually exclusive. Students are more productive textually with writing than with reading, however, they still see the virtues of writing on paper which they continue to use extensively. It appears that chirographic writing and paper is more multi-sensorial and meta-communicative than using the keyboard or screen. Further research is recommended to explore this complementarities of writing on paper and on screen/keyboard as well as the perceived changes in preferred sources of reading material. In this article, we scrutinize the digital imperative of the practices and ideals of digital everyday life of Finnish youth born in 2005-2006 by dismantling the promises of digital youth. Our paper focuses on digital belonging and engagements in young people's everyday lives. We ask what these engagements tell us about the ideals of digital citizenship and agency of young people and how these ideals shape the understandings of the use of digital environments. To achieve these objectives, we draw on both qualitative and quantitative research material to analyze their interpretations of the use of digital technologies and their meanings. Our research reveals that it is important to elaborate on how digitalization is accessed, understood, and used. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the research fronts by analysing highly cited core papers adjusted with the age of a paper in library and information science (LIS) where natural language processing (NLP) is being applied significantly. Design/methodology/approach: By excavating international databases, 3,087 core papers that received at least 5% of the total citations have been identified. By calculating the average mean years of these core papers, and total citations received, a CPT (citation/publication/time) value was calculated in all 20 fronts to understand how a front is relatively receiving greater attention among peers within a course of time. One theme article has been finally identified from each of these 20 fronts. Findings: Bidirectional encoder representations from transformers with CPT value 1.608 followed by sentiment analysis with CPT 1.292 received highest attention in NLP research. Columbia University New York, in terms of University, Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, in terms of journals, USA followed by People Republic of China, in terms of country and Xu, H., University of Texas, in terms of author are the top in these fronts. It is identified that the NLP applications boost the performance of digital libraries and automated library systems in the digital environment. Practical implications: Any research fronts that are identified in the findings of this paper may be used as a base for researchers who intended to perform extensive research on NLP. Originality/value: To the best of the authors' knowledge, the methodology adopted in this paper is the first of its kind where meta-analysis approach has been used for understanding the research fronts in sub field like NLP for a broad domain like LIS. With the development of new-generation information technologies, such as big data and artificial intelligence, digital twins have become a key technology in intelligent manufacturing. The introduction of digital twin technology has addressed many problems in discrete manufacturing lines, including low visualization and difficult cyber–physical integration. However, the application of digital twin technology to discrete manufacturing lines still faces problems of low modeling accuracy, response delay, and insufficient production line control accuracy. Therefore, this paper proposes a digital twin four-dimension fusion modeling method to solve the above problems. First, a digital twin system architecture for a discrete manufacturing production line is designed. Then, the information control dimension is integrated into traditional digital twin modeling methods. Further, a digital twin geometry–physics–behavior–information control four-dimension fusion modeling method is proposed. This method can describe the geometric and physical characteristics of a physical entity and map its behavior mechanism. More importantly, it reveals the control logic and virtual–real mapping rules, which provides important support for the virtual–real intelligent mutual control. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by experiments on a fidget spinner discrete manufacturing line, and a digital twin operation and maintenance management system is developed. Xenophanes is a figurine made of a waxy mixture and grey plasticine, created by Yannis Pappas at the end of the twentieth century. During its short period of existence, the figurine presented severe plastic deformation, structural, and stability issues, with detached or missing elements. The artwork's earlier preserved states are documented by an archival photograph of 1994 and two casts dated to 2005. The physical treatment of its deformation is an irreversible intervention that may put the artwork in additional danger. The conservation of complex contemporary artworks comprises a challenging field of work, as the coexistence and aging of different and often pliable materials lead to multiple deformations. Their conservation treatments could be kept to a minimum for the preservation and understanding of the artworks, with the support of three-dimensional (3D) documentation and digital restoration. A digital restoration that simulates the physical treatment of an artwork aims to provide information that could assist with decisions made for its physical care by minimizing the risks. This paper examines the digital restoration of the small figurine Xenophanes following the steps of increased intervention of a probable physical treatment and how each step of this process may affect its stability. 3D documentation of the current condition of the artwork and its two casts was made utilizing optical laser scanning and structure from motion photogrammetry. The resulting 3D models facilitated the digital restoration of the artwork to its earlier states. The comparison and analysis of the 3D models and the digital restoration process provided information that could assist its physical treatment. The digital restoration of the complex plastic deformation of an artwork is a case that, to our knowledge, has not been addressed so far. The complexity of the progress, the ethical dilemmas that arise during the artwork's restoration, and the reflection on the restoration of a cultural artifact only in the digital environment encourage the rethinking of conservation. Abstract With rapid growth of digital publishing, a great deal of document datum has been published online for a widely spread of knowledge innovations, which is an important resource for human survival and social development. However, it is a time-consuming and difficult task to conduct a high-efficiency access of valuable papers from an extremely large document database. A set of ranking techniques have been proposed to evaluate the influence of articles by counting the number and quality of citations, such as PageRank. In fact, the influence of an article does not merely depend on the account of citations, which is also highly related to the citation network. In this paper, we propose a visual analytics system for visual ranking of academic influence of articles, based on an insightful analysis of citation network. Firstly, a characterization of articles is established through word2vec model, based on an analogy between the articles in citation network and natural language processing (NPL) terms. Then, the difference between articles in the vectorized space is employed to optimize the PageRank model and achieve desired influence ranking results. A set of meaningful visual encodings are also designed to present the relationships among articles, such as the visualization of high-dimensional vectors and time-varying citation networks. At last, a visualization framework is implemented for visual ranking of academic influence of articles, with the ranking models and visual designs integrated. Case studies based on real-world datasets and interviews with domain experts have demonstrated the effectiveness of our system in the evaluation of academic influence of articles. This study aims to explore digital transformation and the level of sophistication in the digital data handling strategy by agri-food small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). By developing an exploratory multiple-case study that involves fourteen food processing SMEs, this paper identifies a data processing flow made up of the following phases: data generation, data acquisition, data storage, data analysis, and data exploitation. In addition, it shows how data processing flow may occur in a number of ways, thereby classifying the agri-food SMEs' digital transformation as paper master, digital wannabe, and digital champion. Hence, the article contributes to providing the conceptualization of a data processing flow, which includes the progressive stages in data management identified across firms by proposing a data handling strategy framework. Such a framework offers a snapshot of firms at various levels of digitization in their handling of various kinds of data, thus clarifying how the strategies of data processing flow occur. This paper reconceptualizes student engagement with course readings in management education. We challenge the perception of assigned readings as a solely student-centered issue, and propose a codesign approach that emphasizes the relational and intersubjective nature of various stakeholders contributing to the engagement design. The paper extends prior research by identifying concepts of quality of participation, connecting practices, and digital engagement that impact meaningful engagement with course readings. Grounded in action research theory, we propose a framework to design meaningful student engagement that is structured around six dimensions: (1) usefulness, (2) enjoyment, (3) quantity, (4) access, (5) intent, and (6) participative integration. These dimensions are entangled and viewed through three lenses: (a) what, (b) how, and (c) why. This paper presents theoretical and practical contributions, and importantly offers a paradigm shift in how educators and educational developers can enhance engagement with course readings in management education and beyond. This paper is the second installment in a two-part series on the physicality of archival material in the context of the digital age. The first part reviewed key lessons in the history of new technologies that have affected archival practice. Part two will explore a holistic understanding of paper-based knowledge transmission in the context of the digital access movement. The intent is to provide a more expansive context to the shift from a physically, place-based activity to one of ubiquitous access to secondary materials. The investigation emphasizes two notions: archives as thing and archives as experience. Issues of authenticity, evidence, and sensory engagement are seen as potential knowledge elements of original material. Furthermore, physical archives are considered in their environmental context, through physical processes in the embodied act of using, and through their meaning to the user. The purpose of this article is to highlight the tacit, assumed and taken-for-granted aspects of using original archival material to better understand the conversion from physical to digital. Under the rapid advances of digital technology, traditional paper-based forms of reading and writing are steadily giving way to digital-based literacies, in theory as well as in application. Drawing on a study of literacy in a medical workplace context, this article examines critically the shift toward computer-mediated textual practices. While a considerable body of research has investigated benefits and issues associated with digital literacy tools in medicine, we consider the affordances of paper-based practices. Our analysis of verbal interaction and textual artifacts drawn from a qualitative study of oncology visits indicates that the uses of pen and paper are advantageous for both doctor and patient. Specifically, they allow doctors to process and package information in ways that are favorable to their personal modus operandi, and they enable patients to participate in the medical visit and take an active role in managing their medical treatment. Understanding the affordances of paper-based literacy provides insights for refining digital tools as well as for motivating the design of possible hybrid forms and digital-analog intersections that can best support medical practices. Digital platforms have become essential tools for the operational transformation of organizations over the last few decades. Governments have realized their advantages and are making progress in incorporating them into their infrastructure, especially during the COVID-19 era. This paper examines digital government platforms (DGPs), their value, and their characteristics. Previous research has identified a variety of factors that affect e-government or DGPs in differentiated cases and regions. The lack of a general list of elements that influence DGSs led to the creation of a general framework of factors that may contribute to a successful launch and operation. These 16 factors were categorized into 3 segments, information technology, government, and user. Their relationship is based on coordination/support, interaction, and feedback. In order to initially evaluate the proposed framework, it was tested through the application on the Greek public sector platform Gov.gr, and initial findings were presented. A contemporary mapping of Greece's digital status and the Greek government's efforts for a modern digital state were presented. Gov.gr is Greece's official master platform that offers a significant number of governmental services to citizens and companies quickly, remotely, and efficiently. The utilization of the framework that is developed in this paper against Gov.gr offers valuable conclusions about DGP's operation and its focus on bureaucracy reduction, accuracy, and satisfactory service. PURPOSE: Digital technologies create opportunities for improving consenting processes in cancer care and research. Yet, little is known about the prevalence of electronic consenting, or e-consent, at US cancer care institutions. METHODS: We surveyed institutions in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network about their capabilities for clinical, research, and administrative e-consents; technologies used; telemedicine consents; multilingual support; evaluations; and opportunities and challenges in moving from paper-based to electronic processes. Responses were summarized across responding institutions. RESULTS: Twenty-five institutions completed the survey (81% response rate). Respondents were from all census regions and included freestanding and matrix cancer centers. Twenty (80%) had e-consent capabilities, with variability in the extent of adoption: One (5%) had implemented e-consent for all clinical, research, and administrative needs while 19 (95%) had a mix of paper and electronic consenting. Among those with e-consent capabilities, the majority (14 of 20, 70%) were using features embedded in their electronic health record. Most had a combination of paper and e-consenting for clinical purposes (18, 72%). About two-thirds relied entirely on paper for research consents (16, 64%) but had at least some electronic processes for administrative consents (15, 60%). Obstacles to e-consenting included challenges with procuring or maintaining hardware, content management, workflow integration, and digital literacy of patients. Successes included positive user experiences, workflow improvements, and better record-keeping. Only two of 20 (10%) respondents with e-consent capabilities had evaluated the impact of automating consent processes. CONCLUSION: E-consent was prevalent in our sample, with 80% of institutions reporting at least some capabilities. Further progress is needed for the benefits of e-consenting to be realized broadly. Digital technologies can improve consenting processes. We surveyed National Comprehensive Cancer Network member institutions about electronic consenting capabilities and experiences. Twenty-five (81%) completed the survey. Twenty (80%) had e-consent capabilities, mostly embedded in their electronic health record (14, 70%). One (5%) had e-consent for all clinical, research, and administrative needs while 19 (95%) had a mix of paper and e-consenting. Obstacles included challenges procuring/maintaining hardware, content management, workflow integration, and patients' digital literacy. Successes included user satisfaction, workflow improvements, and better record-keeping. Only two had formally evaluated their e-consent processes. The problems of digitalization in the higher education system are considered in the paper; modern digital tools as the mechanisms for enhancing the financial autonomy of universities in Ukraine are revealed. The authors assume that the main direction of digitalization and development of digital technologies is the creation of digital infrastructures (e-infrastructures), which provide primary processing, storage and data exchange, distributed computing, and automated analytics of a higher education institution activity. However, it is noticed that in the digital world data maturity – the compliance of data with the requirements of the mentioned digital infrastructures – is essential. Digital tools for the financial sector of the economy are commonly called FinTech. This term is used to describe the technological innovations in financial services, which can lead to the emergence of new business models, applications, processes, and products; they also may have a corresponding material impact on financial markets, institutions, and ways of providing financial services. The authors are based on the main provisions of institutionalism and neo-institutionalism, financial capitalism as the theoretical foundations of modern economic relations of universities. The author's definition of the institutional autonomy of a university as an institutional unit of the modern economy, as well as the main mechanisms and instruments for regulating the limits of their institutional autonomy, are proposed. In this context, the authors describe the main FinTech technologies, which have significant prospects as components of the mechanisms of Ukrainian universities' financial autonomy, i.e.: cloud technologies, artificial intelligence technologies, the internet of things, peer-to-peer transaction technologies, digital banking, and blockchain. Analyzing the features of digital financial technologies, much attention is paid to the blockchain, in particular, smart contracts as the most accessible for Ukrainian universities in the near future. The perspective directions of introducing blockchain technology in the digital systems of Ukrainian universities are outlined. It is noted that digitalization in the university sphere stipulates establishing mandatory rules (standards), the creation and functioning of digital technologies, which act as institutional constraints to almost all the proposed mechanisms and instruments of university institutional autonomy, including the university funding mechanism. For many people, digital transformation offers a great opportunity to keep pace with the requirements of the current age, while for others, it is all hype and needs to be approached with caution. However, be it opportunity or hype, digital transformation impacts every part of our human life, where we especially see and experience it in numerous areas of social domains, including education. Based on these arguments, this paper examines the research that has been conducted on digital transformation from the perspective of education by applying data mining and analytics approaches. Accordingly, in the examination of research papers on digital transformation, five emerging broad themes were identified: (1) strategies and technologies as pillars of digital transformation in social development, (2) digital transformation as a vision that goes beyond mere adaptation of technology, (3) innovative technologies as change agents of digital transformation, (4) the COVID-19 pandemic as a catalyst for digital transformation, and (5) confusion in terminology - digitization, digitalization, and digital transformation. This paper argues that by ignoring the social aspects and not positioning humans at the center of digital transformation and failing to understand the philosophy, vision and mission that lies behind it, we will be at risk of writing failure stories rather than success stories. Literary reading is under transformation. Digital devices supplement traditional paper books with e-books and audiobooks, and at the same time, ubiquitous digital connection challenges focused reading. Based on a qualitative interview study with adult leisure readers, this article explores how affordances offered by digital technologies influence reading habits. Informants demonstrate how e-books and audiobooks enhance reading experiences, as digital affordances influence the how and the when of literary consumption. Three prominent findings are stated. (1) Readers adapt reading mode to the situation, and experienced readers have developed strategies to maximise the ultimate combination of title, format and reading conditions. (2) Digital reading favours lighter texts. This dimension is more substantial for audiobooks, relating to the wide choice of combining audiobooks with other activities. (3) Being devoted readers motivates people to develop strategies to ensure further reading. These strategies effectively make readers practically and temporally disconnect to immerse in literature. Through this study of the lexicon in learning English as a foreign language, we see that learning the lexicon is a sine qua non for learners since it is thanks to it that they will access effective communication. Also, the integration of digital technology in the teaching-learning of languages is not new, but the web and the great diversity of tools that are increasingly easy to use seem to have had an accelerating effect. So, this research took place in The Ankara University Private Foundation & Anatolian High School (ANKU) in Ankara for the use of digital technology in the context of consolidating lexical memorization in languages. Based on this research, we will ask the question of the effectiveness of memory replays via digital technology in the context of a consolidation of lexical memorization in the medium term versus the use of paper supports. The experiment was carried out in an establishment whose students mainly have a relatively high socio-economic profile. This is a Secondary class, with heterogeneous levels. We will highlight here the fact that in English lessons, students have used the Socrative online exerciser on several occasions since the start of the year on a computer in the computer room for formative assessments (as training and self-evaluation) preceding summative evaluations on paper and that they were therefore accustomed to this digital medium during the experience. The electronic assessment, or e-assessment, is one of the most important topics to address, especially considering the transformations that higher education is undergoing in the digital age. In this study, we examine the effect of e-assessment on students' cognitive engagement. By employing a quantitative approach, we conducted a survey using questionnaires to gather data from 41 students in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Hassan II University in Casablanca and 105 students' teachers from the El Jadida regional center for education and training. The main aim of this study is to demonstrate the influence of e-assessment on students' cognitive engagement. The participants were divided into two groups: the first group included 41 students from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, with 20 students participating in the traditional paper-based assessment and 21 students undergoing e-assessment through the Kahoot platform. The second group comprises 105 trainee teacher students from the regional center for education and training professions in El Jadida, with 65 students undergoing paper assessment and 40 students undergoing e-assessments. Our questionnaire assessed the impact of e-assessment on participants' cognitive engagement. The Cronbach's alpha value was 0.959 for the first group and 0.982 for the second group. According to the results of the study, e-assessment influences cognitive engagement. A systematic review of 34 articles published within the last 20 years, that explored the implications of increased use of computer-based summative assessments revealed six key themes. Specifically: shifts in assessment design; impact on teachers; variation in computer familiarity; student experience; logistics and infrastructure; and hardware and software issues. Findings relating to comparability of results between the assessment modes are also discussed. This review evaluates the computer-based assessment (CBA) literature to identify the advantages and challenges for introducing CBA within educational institutions. The findings of this review will be of particular interest to those affected by a steady trend towards the introduction of CBA affecting both teachers and students. Background: In a pain drawing (PD), the patient shades or marks painful areas on an illustration of the human body. This simple yet powerful tool captures essential aspects of the subjective pain experience, such as localization, intensity, and distribution of pain, and enables the extraction of meaningful information, such as pain area, widespreadness, and segmental pattern. Starting as a simple pen-on-paper tool, PDs are now sophisticated digital health applications paving the way for many new and exciting basic translational and clinical applications. Objective: Grasping the full potential of digital PDs and laying the groundwork for future medical PD apps requires an understanding of the methodological developments that have shaped our current understanding of uses and design. This review presents methodological milestones in the development of both pen-on-paper and digital PDs, thereby offering insight into future possibilities created by the transition from paper to digital. Methods: We conducted a systematic literature search covering PD acquisition , conception of PDs , PD analysis , and PD visualization. Results: The literature search yielded 435 potentially relevant papers, from which 53 methodological milestones were identified. These milestones include, for example, the grid method to quantify pain area, the pain-frequency maps, and the use of artificial neural networks to facilitate diagnosis. Conclusions: Digital technologies have had a significant influence on the evolution of PDs, whereas their versatility is leading to ever new applications in the field of medical apps and beyond. This article explores the impact of digital technology on scientific publishing. To enhance employee collaboration and streamline operations, businesses are spending more money on digital solutions in the current environment of rapid technological advancement. Employees can operate efficiently remotely by utilizing online platforms for communication and cooperation, which improves job satisfaction and organizational performance. This paper proposes to present a retrospective analysis of publications on digital technology used in the context of performance improvement and satisfaction within organizations. In this sense, a bibliometric study is carried out based on the analysis of scientific works published in the Web of Science database. The searches were carried out using the keywords "digital technology", "performance", and "satisfaction". Querying the database revealed the existence of 1005 papers, collected data being analyzed with the help of Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer software. The collected and analyzed data highlighted the existence of several clusters of publications, authors or organizations that addressed the analyzed topic. This research also indicates clusters of keywords that suggest potential directions for future research and clearly identify the impact of digital technology on organizational performance and employee or customer satisfaction. Through this bibliometric study, the authors provide valuable information from which to start those who want to investigate the digital domains, organizational performance, or satisfaction in organizations. The National Medical Commission (NMC) in India has released the "Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023," which replace the previous regulations from 2000. These new regulations bring about several changes in postgraduate medical training, such as the recognition of Postdoctoral Certificate Courses (PDCC) and Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF) courses, the acknowledgment of the mental health of postgraduate students, the establishment of an academic cell in institutes, the use of dynamic e-logbooks, and requirements for poster presentations, paper presentations, and research papers. The regulations also introduce new courses in ethics and cardiac life support skills, define leave rules and attendance criteria for postgraduate students, and discuss the role of universities in implementing the curriculum and the use of digital technology for examinations and certificates. The document outlines changes in examination and evaluation rules, including the allowance of multiple-choice questions in theory exams and the evaluation of answer sheets by two examiners. Digital government has proven to be more cost-effective, efficient and sustainable than traditional analogue governance practices. However, many lesser developed societies are not ready for digital transformation, as many failed transitions have so far illustrated. This article comprises a summary of a qualitative inquiry into the latest international research findings and conclusions about the current state of digital governance transformation in Africa, and how such approaches and practices on the continent can be improved. It identifies and clarifies the main issues that promote readiness for and the success of digital governance transformation. The research found that specific strategic transformative initiatives and priorities are crucial to create the minimum readiness conditions for digital transformation of society and government. Appropriate digitisation strategies can improve the potential for successful migration of public sector management and governance systems from unsustainable analogue systems to more sustainable digital platforms.
