The AIM project (Artificial Intelligence Innovation for Earth System Analytics and Modelling), part of the recently funded Helmholtz AI platform, will research and apply innovative methods from the areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning to Earth system analytics and modelling. As part of the AIM project, DKRZ (German Climate Computing Centre) hosts a team of technical consultants who will support users in reaping the benefits of the new methods through collaborative work on scientific cases, providing, among other things, counselling, technical services and support, trainings. The presentation gives an overview on the scope and services of the consultants team and some first scientific cases worked on.
