The purpose of this research is to see whether there is a link between academic production and institutional ranking in India, as measured by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). NIRF parameters will also be analyzed and compared to those of prominent international university rankings in this paper. Web content analysis was used to gather data for the research. The data was gathered from the NIRF official websites. In this study, only nine medical institutions from the Karnataka State ranked chose the top 50 in the NIRF ranking framework released in 2021 for the research. The research discovered that the factors used by NIRF to evaluate Karnataka medical institutes are comparable to all the. One of the critical elements of university rating methods is an institution's scholarly output. In the NIRF, Indian institutions with excellent research production came out on top. Private medical institutes do well in the NIRF, and there is a strong link between academic production and institutional ranking. Several research has looked at the relationship between h-index and educational production. This is the first study to examine the association between intellectual production and university rankings in India using the NIRF system.
