Aim : The study was designed to clinically evaluate biodentine and endosequence root repair material (ERRM) as direct pulp capping agent at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months intervals. Materials and Methods : Sixty permanent posterior teeth with deep caries, without any signs of irreversible pulpitis were allotted into two experimental groups: Group I -Biodentine, Group II-ERRM. Follow-up evaluations were done. Every 24 h for 7 days, the pain was assessed using visual analog scale. Statistical Analysis: Paired t-test along with Pearson's Chi-square test was performed. Results : The success rate of clinical assessment at 12 months for biodentine group is 78.60% and ERRM Group is 64.70%. Conclusion : Biodentine group performed superior than ERRM group clinically at all-time interval and hence it can be successfully used to restore exposed vital tooth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
