Comprehensive Summary: Organoborons are commonly used building blocks for rapidly increasing molecular complexity. Although significant progress has been made in the selective functionalization of mono‐organoborons, the site‐selective functionalization of poly(organoborons) has attracted substantial interest in organic synthesis, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals due to the presence of multiple potential reaction sites. This review discusses various activation modes of the target C–B bond, with diverse transformations being achieved in both a selective and efficient manner. Recent advances in the catalytic selective transformations of 1,n‐diboronates through ionic and radical pathways are highlighted. Furthermore, we summarize the existing challenges and future research directions in this field. Key Scientists: In 1993, Suzuki, Miyaura and coworkers developed a pioneering example of selective arylation towards cis‐1,2‐bis(boryl) alkenes, marking the inception of this field. The Morken group has made significant contributions to the asymmetric diboration of alkenes and realized elegant catalytic functionalization of these compounds since 2004. In 2016, Fernández and colleagues achieved the selective arylation of the internal C–B bond of tri(boronates). Since 2019, the Aggarwal group has developed efficient Giese‐type addition and selective arylation at the more substituted C–B bond of 1,2‐bis(boronic) esters through photoredox catalysis. The controllable regiodivergent alkynylation of 1,3‐bis(boronic) esters was developed by Gao and coworkers in 2023. Recently, Qin conducted elegant research on the programmable late‐stage functionalization of bridge‐substituted bicyclo[1.1.1]pentane (BCP) bis‐boronates. Since 2013, catalytic stereoselective transformations have been developed by several groups, including those led by Morken and Chen. Pharmaceutical contaminants are causing great attention for the public people, urgently requiring to be eliminated from the environment. Herein, commercial pharmaceutical carbamazepine was chosen as a model to be degraded by a heterogeneous Fenton system using natural pyrite as catalyst. The catalyst was characterized by X‐ray diffraction apparatus, high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The elements composition and chemical states of pyrite changed significantly after the Fenton reaction, which promoted the production of active species in the electron transfer process. The degradation efficiency of carbamazepine (2.5 mg/L) can reach 99.71% after 30 min with 0.3 g/L of pyrite and 5 mM of H2O2, respectively. The reaction system was suitable for a wide range of pH (3–9). The environmental adaptability examination of pyrite showed that humic acid (HA) had inhibitory effects on the degradation of carbamazepine. While the changes of degradation efficiency of carbamazepine were inconspicuous in the presence of NO3− and SO42−, indicating strong anti‐interference to environment common anions. Free‐radical capturers suggested that hydroxyl radical (∙OH), superoxide radical (∙O2−), and singlet oxygen (1O2) participated in the degradation of carbamazepine. Employee well‐being is a critical consideration for organizations. It may be particularly so in the post COVID‐19 era, where many still suffer from the pandemic's after‐effects. We propose a novel pathway to maintain and improve employee well‐being: organizational nostalgia, one's sentimental longing or wistful affection for past organizational events. We advocate that organizational nostalgia is associated with job satisfaction and organizational commitment and that telecommuting frequency (i.e., the extent to which employees work remotely) moderates this association. Additionally, we examine employees' perceptions of organizational cultural strength as an antecedent of organizational nostalgia. Findings from two studies support our theoretical proposals and offer fresh insight into how organizations could sustain their employees' well‐being by leveraging organizational nostalgia. Asymmetric cross‐couplings based on 1,2‐carbon migration from B‐ate complexes have been developed efficiently to access valuable organoboronates. However, enantioselective reactions triggered by 1,2‐boron shift have remained to be unaddressed synthetic challenge. Here, Ir‐catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylation enabled by 1,2‐boron shift was developed. In this reaction, we disclosed that excellent enantioselectivities were achieved through an interesting dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) process of allylic carbonates at the elevated temperature. Notably, the highly valuable (bis‐boryl)alkenes have enabled an array of diversifications to access versatile molecules. Extensive experimental and computational studies were conducted to elucidate the reaction mechanism of DKR process and clarify the origin of excellent enantioselectivities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The extant literature on diversity training suggests that its effect size is small and varies across studies, calling for theorization on when and why diversity training does or does not work. In this article, we propose that the national cultural context is a critical moderator and conduct a meta‐analysis to examine its influence on diversity training. Our analyses show that the average effect size of diversity training outcomes is significant both inside and outside the U.S. The effect size of specific diversity training design is contingent on such cultural values as power distance, individualism, masculinity, and uncertainty avoidance. Summary: Magnaporthe oryzae secretes several effectors that modulate and hijack rice processes to colonize host cells, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. We report on a novel cytoplasmic effector MoIug4 that targets the rice ethylene pathway as a transcription repressor to subvert host immunity.We found that MoIug4 binds to the promoter of the host OsEIN2 gene that encodes a central signal transducer in the ethylene‐signaling pathway. We also identified a MoIug4 interacting protein, OsAHL1, which acts as an AT‐hook motif‐containing protein binding to the A/T‐rich promoter regions. Our knockout and overexpression studies showed that OsAHL1 positively regulates plant immunity in response to M. oryzae infection.OsAHL1 exhibits transcriptional regulatory activities by binding the OsEIN2 promoter region, similar to MoIug4. Intriguingly, we found that MoIug4 exhibits a higher binding affinity than OsAHL1 to the OsEIN2 promoter, suggesting differential regulatory specificities.These results revealed a counter‐defense strategy by which the pathogen effector suppresses the activation of host defense genes by interfering with host transcription activator functions. Due to the complex physiological structure, microenvironment and multiple physiological barriers, traditional anti‐cancer drugs are severely restricted from reaching the tumour site. Cell‐penetrating peptides (CPPs) are typically made up of 5–30 amino acids, and can be utilised as molecular transporters to facilitate the passage of therapeutic drugs across physiological barriers. Up to now, CPPs have widely been used in many anti‐cancer treatment strategies, serving as an excellent potential choice for oncology treatment. However, their drawbacks, such as the lack of cell specificity, short duration of action, poor stability in vivo, compatibility problems (i.e. immunogenicity), poor therapeutic efficacy and formation of unwanted metabolites, have limited their further application in cancer treatment. The cellular uptake mechanisms of CPPs involve mainly endocytosis and direct penetration, but still remain highly controversial in academia. The CPPs‐based drug delivery strategy could be improved by clever design or chemical modifications to develop the next‐generation CPPs with enhanced cell penetration capability, stability and selectivity. Organoboronates are synthetically useful and highly valuable building blocks in synthetic and medicinal chemistry. Two‐electron reactions allow for the rapid construction of organoboronates via nucleophilic 1,2‐boron shift of boron ate complexes or MIDA‐mediated 1,2‐boryl migration. Radical approaches through 1,2‐boron shift of neutral boronic esters or boron ate complexes have been demonstrated to be feasible, providing complementary methods to access these privileged scaffolds. A persistently pressing issue identified in the decision‐making literature is that people not only fail to recognize the risks entailed in a near‐loss event but also subsequently engage in further risk‐taking. We contend in this paper that prevention motivation critically regulates decision‐makers' responses to a near‐loss. Across three studies, we found that high prevention‐focused individuals perceive greater risks in a near‐loss event and are subsequently less likely to take risks, compared with low prevention‐focused individuals. Solasodine is a main active component isolated from Solanum incanum L. that performs a wide range of functions containing anti-oxidant, anti-infection, and neurogenesis promotion. In this study, we explored the influence of solasodine on three types of human colorectal cancer ( CRC) cell lines. The results show that solasodine prohibited CRC cell proliferation dose- and time-dependently and impeded CRC cell motility by downregulating MMPs. Solasodine was also found to fuel caspase-cascade reaction and increase the ratio between Bax and Bcl-2 so as to induce CRC cell apoptosis. When cells were pretreated with AKT activator (insulin-like growth factor-1) followed by solasodine, the solasodine-induced apoptosis was partially abrogated by insulin-like growth factor-1. Moreover, solasodine hindered tumor development and stimulated similar mechanisms in vivo. In general, our study provides the first evidence that solasodine has a suppressive effect on CRC cells and that this agent may be a novel therapeutic drug for CRC treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
