Abstract

The article discusses research on mono-disperse poly(n-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) microspheres to evaluate their flow and agglomeration in microchannel during phase transition. The research has applications in various fields including controlled drug-delivery systems and chemical separation. The article delineates experimental conditions, temperature and phase-transition effects on microsphere aggregation, and key parameters that affect flow and aggregation. It states that operating conditions can be designed to stop microsphere aggregation at a particular point in the microchannel.
