The article explores the plasticity effect of carbon nanotubes-filled polymer nanocomposites. In the authors' study, they use the linear heterochain copolymer Phenylone S-2 for the polymeric binding of nanocomposites and for the tableting process of the powderlike compositions, the PSU-50 was utilized. They found that the introduction of particulates and layered nanofillers does not have any effect on the polymer matrix structure. They conclude that the plasticity of nanocomposites can start the formation of interfacial regions in the nanotubes.

The article focuses on a study which examined the transesterification model reaction based on a strange diffusion concept. The transesterification model reaction kinetics of methyl benzoate with heptanole-1 were investigated in the presence of mica. Results of the study showed a principal difference between the description of the diffusion defining a chemical reaction's course and general reagent diffusion.

The mechanism of interactions of NO, NO2, NO3 as well as dimers of NO2 with functional groups of organic molecules and polymers is considered. It is shown that nitrogen oxides are active initiators of radical reactions as a result of which various molecular products of nitration and stable nitrogen-containing radicals are formed. Features of the initiation mechanism determining the composition of molecular and radical products of conversions of the compounds on exposure to nitrogen oxides have been revealed. The article presents information on a study which determined whether planar nitrogen tetroxide O2N-NO2 (PD) conversion into nitrosyl nitrate ONONO2(NN) is possible under the influence of amide groups of aromatic polyamides (PA) and polyvinylpryrrolidone (PVP) with further generation of stable radicals by reactions. A review of the related literature is given. Findings showed the production of nitrogen-containing radicals as a result of subsequent reactions.

The article discusses results of a study that examines the spatial-energy stabilization criterion in the formation of carbon nanostructures. An overview of the computational results for the binary systems is given. Some spatial-energy principles of the isomorphic replacement are discussed. The study demonstrated the organic cyclic compound formation and its basic regularity and application for carbon nanostructure.

The article focuses on a study which described the kinetics of bimolecular radical decay in methacrylic macroradicals in networked and unnetworked polymeric matrices. The study utilized Smolukhovsky's and Einstein's equations, and the fractal dependence of conformation radius on polymerization degree. An equation for bimolecular radical decay constant under diffusion conditions is also explained.
