Half of the face was treated with the MFRS; the other half was untreated (control). Facial volume changes and wrinkles were objectively measured using a three‐dimensional imaging system and VISIA‐CR.Volume changes of the treated midface were −0.24 ± 0.75, −0.59 ± 0.92, and −0.55 ± 0.65 mL at 1, 3, 6 months follow‐up; however, measurements of the control side were 0.08 ± 0.70, −0.08 ± 0.53, and − 0.10 ± 0.86 mL, indicating significant reductions (p < 0.05). The number of facial wrinkles on the treated side was significantly reduced to 12.44 ± 4.85 at 3 months and sustained at 6 months (11.11 ± 4.100) compared to the control side (14.89 ± 5.26 and 13.22 ± 4.44, respectively; p < 0.05). No long‐term side effects occurred.The vacuum‐assisted MFRS is safe and effective and is recommended for improving facial tightening and reducing wrinkles. This technology is sufficient to ensure the insertion depth, thus helping to improve the treatment accuracy and safety. The MFRS provides sustained effects for at least 6 months. Increasing immunotherapy response rate and durability can lead to significant improvements in cancer care. To address this challenge, a novel multivalent immune checkpoint therapeutic platform is constructed through site‐specific ligation of anti‐PD‐L1 nanobody (Nb) on ferritin (Ftn) nanocage. Nb‐Ftn blocks PD‐1/PD‐L1 interaction and downregulates PD‐L1 levels via endocytosis‐induced degradation. In addition, the cage structure of Ftn allows encapsulation of indocyanine green (ICG), an FDA‐approved dye. Photothermal treatment with Nb‐Ftn@ICG induces immunogenic death of tumor cells, which improves systemic immune response via maturation of dendritic cells and enhanced infiltration of T cells. Moreover, Nb‐Ftn encapsulation significantly enhances cellular uptake, tumor accumulation and retention of ICG. In vivo assays showed that this nanoplatform ablates the primary tumor, suppresses abscopal tumors and inhibits tumor metastasis, leading to a prolonged survival rate. Enzymes are considered safe and effective therapeutic tools for various diseases. With the increasing integration of biomedicine and nanotechnology, artificial nanozymes offer advanced controllability and functionality in medical design. However, several notable gaps, such as catalytic diversity, specificity and biosafety, still exist between nanozymes and their native counterparts. Here we report a non‐metal single‐selenium (Se)‐atom nanozyme (SeSAE), which exhibits potent nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase‐mimetic activity. This novel single atom nanozyme provides a safe alternative to conventional metal‐based catalysts and effectively cuts off the cellular energy and reduction equivalents through its distinctive catalytic function in tumors. In this study, we have demonstrated the substantial efficacy of SeSAE as an antitumor nanomedicine across diverse mouse models without discernible systemic adverse effects. The mechanism of the NADPH oxidase‐like activity of the non‐metal SeSAE was rationalized by density functional theory calculations. Furthermore, comprehensive elucidation of the biological functions, cell death pathways, and metabolic remodeling effects of the nanozyme was conducted, aiming to provide valuable insights into the development of single atom nanozymes with clinical translation potential. Summary: Conventional fault recognition algorithms can only recognize the classes of faults that have appeared in wind turbine systems. However, if a new category of faults appears, the traditional algorithm can only misclassify it into the class of pre‐existing faults. In this paper, a new class fault recognition method based on deep learning is proposed. Firstly, the initialized model is built using known fault data, including detectors and classifiers. Secondly, the new class fault data detected by the detectors are put into the cache, and when the cache overflows, the new class faults are augmented with data using generative adversarial networks. Finally, the new class fault data and the generated data are added to the initial training set, and the structure and weights of the initialized model are updated using the new training set. In this way, the purpose of recognizing the new class of faults is achieved. The experimental results show that the proposed detection algorithm can effectively detect new class faults and the model can efficiently solve the problem of the new class of fault recognition after data augmentation. The metabolic reprogramming of tumors requires high levels of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to maintain therapeutic resistance, posing a major challenge for photothermal therapy (PTT). Although raising the temperature helps in tumor ablation, it frequently leads to severe side effects. Therefore, improving the therapeutic response and promoting healing are critical considerations in the development of PTT. Here, we proposed a gas‐mediated energy remodeling strategy to improve mild PTT efficacy while minimizing side effects. In the proof‐of‐concept study, a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)‐approved drug‐based hydrogen sulfide (H2S) donor was developed to provide a sustained supply of H2S to tumor sites, serving as an adjuvant to PTT. This approach proved to be highly effective in disrupting the mitochondrial respiratory chain, inhibiting ATP generation, and reducing the overexpression of heat shock protein 90 (HSP90), which ultimately amplified the therapeutic outcome. With the ability to reverse tumor thermotolerance, this strategy delivered a greatly potent antitumor response, achieving complete tumor ablation in a single treatment while minimizing harm to healthy tissues. Thus, it holds great promise to be a universal solution for overcoming the limitations of PTT and may serve as a valuable paradigm for the future clinical translation of photothermal nanoagents. Objective: We aimed to compare clinical and survival differences between B‐cell (B‐NHL) and NKT‐cell non‐Hodgkin lymphomas (NKT‐NHL) located in the nasal cavity (NC), nasopharynx, and paranasal sinuses, which are always categorized as one sinonasal type. Study Design: Patients diagnosed with primary B‐NHL and NKT‐NHL in the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, and paranasal sinuses from Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database were included (1975‐2017). Setting: Population‐based cohort study. Methods: We conducted univariate and multivariate Cox regressions and Kaplan‐Meier analysis to examine survival outcomes of B/NKT‐NHL in the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, and paranasal sinuses, respectively. Results: Overall, most B‐NHL cases originated from the nasopharynx, while the majority of NKT‐NHL cases occurred in the nasal cavity. Notably, the cancer‐special survival (CSS) outcomes improved significantly in all sinonasal B‐NHL cases over time, whereas no such improvement trend was observed in each sinonasal NKT‐NHL type. Additionally, increasing age was linked with an elevated risk of death in B‐NHL, particularly in the nasal cavity (Hazard ratio [HR]: 3.37), rather than in NKT‐NHL. Compared with B‐NHL, the adverse effect of a higher stage on CSS was more evident in NKT‐NHL, particularly in its nasopharynx site (HR: 5.12). Furthermore, radiotherapy was beneficial for survival in patients with sinonasal B‐NHL and NKT‐NHL, except in the nasopharynx NKT‐NHL. However, chemotherapy has only been beneficial for CSS in patients with paranasal sinuses B‐NHL (HR: 0.42) since 2010, rather than in other types of B/NKT‐NHL. Conclusion: Although B‐NHL and NKT‐NHL in the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses have similar anatomical locations, their clinicodemographics and prognoses are largely different and should be treated and studied as distinct diseases. Digital image plays an important role of information carrier with the rapid development of information technology. In this paper, a compressible image encryption method based on nondegenerate hyperchaos is proposed. Firstly, a nondegenerate hyperchaotic system based on the nonlinear feedback controller is designed, and its dynamic characteristic is analyzed. The image information is compressed by integer discrete cosine transform (DCT). Then the image encryption algorithm is proposed by using the pseudo‐random sequence generated by hyperchaotic system. Finally, the proposed scheme is realized by using ZYNQ development platform. The security of proposed scheme is enhanced by the nondegenerate hyperchaotic system, and the data volume for encryption algorithm is reduced by DCT preprocessing without affecting the image visual quality. The hardware implementation based on ZYNQ platform shows the feasibility of the proposed scheme. Through the security analysis of the experimental results, it is verified that the image can be well encrypted by the proposed method with great performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a novel therapeutic strategy, a microneedle fractional radiofrequency system, for hand rejuvenation. Material and Method: Sixteen subjects were enrolled in a self‐controlled evaluator‐blind prospective trial. All subjects received three microneedle fractional radiofrequency treatments at 4 weeks intervals. Hand volume was evaluated through subjective (Hand Volume Rating Scale) and quantitative measurements. Patients were also assessed on the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale using digital photographs. Patients were followed up at 1, 3, and 6 months after the last radiofrequency treatment. Results: Statistically significant improvements on the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale and Hand Rating Volume Scale were noted (p < 0.05). Compared with the control side, the treated hand showed a 44% improvement in dorsal skin surface roughness (p < 0.05). Quantitative measurements of hand volume showed a trend toward increased volume for the treated hand, but the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: We conclude that microneedle fractional radiofrequency is a safe therapeutic option for hand rejuvenation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Multi‐scale intracontinental deformations were developed in response to the tectonic evolution of the southern Longmenshan tectonic belt (LMS) on the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau. Detailed studies, including field structural analysis and anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS), were conducted on sedimentary rocks in the foreland basin of the southern Longmenshan tectonic belt (FBSL) in order to better understand the tectonic evolution of the southern LMS. Field observations show that FBSL deformations are mainly characterized by broad and gentle folds in a NE–SW direction and shallow thrust faults. At least two sedimentary discontinuities and two‐stage deformations occurred after the deposition of Cretaceous strata. Samples of magnetic fabrics from the Qionglai–Changshiba profile were characterized by the triaxial magnetic susceptibility ellipsoids common in sedimentary rocks. The magnetic fabrics of the profile represent a weak deformation that was associated with layer‐parallel shortening before folding and mainly reflect the Mesozoic–Cenozoic NW–SE convergence. There are also the following atypical magnetic fabrics: magnetic foliation that is oblique to the bedding and that was associated with layer‐parallel simple shearing during folding; and magnetic lineation that is to varying degrees oblique to the strike of bedding and represents a superposition of structures. Based on the correlation results of magnetic fabrics for samples of different ages, a tectonic superposition since the Late Indosinian Orogeny was found in FBSL. By combining field structural analysis and magnetic fabrics, it was suggested herein that the FBSL is a propagation product of Mesozoic–Cenozoic deformations of southern LMS to the southeast, which therefore experienced a composite superposition of deformations. This finding provides the basis for a comprehensive understanding of the southern LMS and may shed light on the uplift of the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau and the tectonic response of its eastern boundary. Objectives: The mammalian tongue develops from the branchial arches (1–4) and comprises highly organized tissues compartmentalized by mesenchyme/connective tissue that is largely derived from neural crest (NC). This study aimed to understand the roles of tumour suppressor Neurofibromin 2 (Nf2) in NC‐derived tongue mesenchyme in regulating Hippo signalling and cell proliferation for the proper development of tongue shape and size. Materials and methods: Conditional knockout (cKO) of Nf2 in NC cell lineage was generated using Wnt1‐Cre (Wnt1‐Cre/Nf2cKO). Nf2 expression, Hippo signalling activities, cell proliferation and tongue shape and size were thoroughly analysed in different tongue regions and tissue types of Wnt1‐Cre/Nf2cKO and Cre‐/Nf2fx/fx littermates at various stages (E10.5–E18.5). Results: In contrast to many other organs in which the Nf2/Hippo pathway activity restrains growth and cell proliferation and as a result, loss of Nf2 decreases Hippo pathway activity and promotes an enlarged organ development, here we report our observations of distinct, tongue region‐ and stage‐specific alterations of Hippo signalling activity and cell proliferation in Nf2cKO in NC‐derived tongue mesenchyme. Compared to Cre−/Nf2fx/fx littermates, Wnt1‐Cre/Nf2cKO depicted a non‐proportionally enlarged tongue (macroglossia) at E12.5–E13.5 and microglossia at later stages (E15.5–E18.5). Specifically, at E12.5 Nf2cKO mutants had a decreased level of Hippo signalling transcription factor Yes‐associated protein (Yap), Yap target genes and cell proliferation anteriorly, while having an increased Yap, Yap target genes and cell proliferation posteriorly, which lead to a tip‐pointed and posteriorly widened tongue. At E15.5, loss of Nf2 in the NC lineage resulted in distinct changes in cell proliferation in different regions, that is, high in epithelium and mesenchyme subjacent to the epithelium, and lower in deeper layers of the mesenchyme. The Xianshuihe Fault Belt (XSF), along which the syntectonic Zheduoshan batholith was emplaced, has great significance for the reconstruction of the tectonic framework in the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau. In this contribution, formation process and evolution of the XSF are discussed based on the structural deformation in the field and the geochronology of Zheduoshan batholith. The results show that the XSF current arc‐shaped protrusion to the north‐east probably was formed by a fracture of the clockwise rotation compression that extended northward to the periphery with the eastern Himalayan tectonic syntaxis as the centre. It is a complex fault belt formed by the superposition of multi‐stage structures. In the early‐stage formation and evolution of the XSF, the Oligocene‐Miocene migmatite zone and Miocene granites of the Zheduoshan batholith were emplaced. Among them, the lower limit of the XSF's initial activity time was not less than 47 Ma that was limited by the Zircon U–Pb geochronology of migmatite zone formed under the compression system. During the emplacement of Miocene granites, the XSF underwent a process from compression to sinistral strike‐slip, and the geochronology indicates that the onset of the XSF sinistral strike slip should not be less than 14 Ma. After syntectic magmatism, the XSF also experienced the shear deformation (from ductile to brittle) with sinistral kinematics. 40Ar‐39Argeochronology results show that the ductile shear deformation mainly occurred around 5.5–3.2 Ma and accompanied a staged and differential uplift from north to south. It extended to the south along the weak crustal zone of Anninghe, Daliangshan, Xiaojiang, and other faults, forming the Xianshuihe–Anninghe–Xiaojiang sinistral strike‐slip fault system on the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau, and large‐scale sinistral strike slip began around 5 Ma. Pulsed dye laser‐resistant port‐wine stains present a therapeutic challenge. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of photodynamic therapy for treating these lesions. A total of 67 patients with pulsed dye laser‐resistant cervicofacial port‐wine stains were retrospectively assessed after undergoing photodynamic therapy mediated with a combination of hemoporfin and 532‐nm light. For objective evaluation of photodynamic therapy efficacy, first, the colorimetric changes in the port‐wine stain lesions were evaluated according to the L*a*b* color coordinate system, then the values of color changes (ΔE) and blanching rate were calculated. For subjective evaluation of improvement, photographs taken before and after photodynamic therapy were evaluated by three independent assessors blindly. Patient satisfaction was also used as a factor in the subjective evaluation. Adverse events were recorded after treatment. The median ΔE decreased significantly from the pretreatment value of 13.42 to 9.90 at the 2‐month follow up (P < 0.001). The median blanching rate of port‐wine stains was 28.04% after an average of 1.21 sessions of photodynamic therapy. Based on the overall visual assessment, 46.2% patients showed excellent or good levels of improvement (>50% color blanching). Adverse events were minimal, transient and self‐limiting. In conclusion, photodynamic therapy serves as an alternative means to treat pulsed dye laser‐resistant port‐wine stains. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: In the paper, a novel six‐dimensional hyperchaotic system is proposed for secure communication. A detailed analysis of some relevant features, such as equilibrium stability, dissipation, bifurcation, and Lyapunov exponents. The results show that there are hyperchaos, chaos, quasi‐periodic, and periodic dynamic behaviors for our constructed hyperchaotic system. Then the six‐dimensional hyperchaotic system is simulated and implemented, which verified its physical realizability. The six‐dimensional hyperchaotic system is applied to complete the signal encryption and decryption circuit design, then the circuit is tested. Although infantile hemangiomas (IH) spontaneously involute, some leave more volumetric sequelae than others. Identifying predictors of such sequelae would provide a management reference for IH lesions and help achieve favorable outcomes. Our objective is to explore the correlation between volumetric residue remaining after IH involution and its location and to identify other potential outcome predictors. All IH patients examined at our hospital from 2008 to 2011 were reviewed, and both the degree of volumetric residue after involution and the quantified degree of sequelae were obtained by comparing follow‐up photographs with photographs of lesions at their maximum size. We discovered that for children with a defined age at the initial visit, lesions of the perifacial area achieved significantly more volumetric regression than lesions of the central facial (P < 0.0001) and chest areas (P = 0.0002). Perifacial lesions had a significantly higher aesthetic score than those on the central facial area (P < 0.0001), chest (P < 0.0001) and trunk/extremities (P = 0.0226) when the age at initial visit and lesion type were consistent. Our study reveals that lesion location and age at initial visit are contributing factors to volumetric sequelae and the aesthetics of the lesion after involution. Objectives: The hemodynamics of the ultrasound (US) features of port‐wine stains (PWSs) have not been reported. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the high‐frequency US findings of PWSs. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 98 PWS cases and categorized them into 4 groups based on clinical manifestations and pathologic findings (14 nodular, 28 thickened, 52 flattened, and 4 acquired). We evaluated the US findings with 10‐ and 22‐MHz transducers. Results: For nodular PWSs, the mean thickened skin ± SD was 0.6 ± 0.5 mm, and the nodule thickness was 5.7 ± 3.3 mm; 63.6% of skin lesions showed vessel density of 2.16 ± 0.93/cm2 with venous flow of 4.6 ± 1.1 cm/s, and all nodules showed vessel density of 6.14 ± 1.92/cm2 with arterial and venous flow of 26.6 ± 17.9 and 9.9 ± 5.1 cm/s, respectively. The thickened skin of the thickened type was 1.4 ± 2.7 mm; 76.5% of skin lesions showed vessel density of 3.81 ± 1.98/cm2 with venous flow 4.6 ± 2.1 cm/s. The thickened skin of 36 flattened lesions was 0.1 ± 0.1 mm; 91.7% of skin lesions showed vessel density of 1.08 ± 0.28/cm2. The thickened skin of 4 acquired lesions was 0.7 ± 0.4 mm; 50% showed vessel density of 1.08 ± 0.28/cm2. The thickened skin and vessel density of nodular and thickened PWSs were thicker and higher than those of the flattened ones. The 22‐MHz transducer produced clearer contrast and higher vessel density than the 10‐MHz transducer. Summary: Based on an existing 4‐dimensional Lorenz hyperchaotic system, a novel 5‐dimensional hyperchaotic system is proposed by an extra linear control coefficient in this paper. Some related characters are analysed comprehensively, including the stability of equilibrium, dissipativity, rotation symmetry, bifurcations, Lyapunov exponent, and Poincare surface of a section of the hyperchaotic system. The 5‐dimensional hyperchaotic system is then implemented and simulated in the circuit simulation software NI Multisim. The results indicate that the proposed hyperchaotic system exhibits hyperchaos, chaos, and quasi‐periodic and periodic dynamic behaviours, which can facilitate and enhance the security of chaos‐based communication. Topical timolol and 595-nm pulsed dye laser ( PDL) are both widely used in the treatment of superficial infantile hemangiomas ( IH). However, to date, there is no reliable study comparing the therapeutic outcomes between the two treatment options. We designed the present study to evaluate and compare the efficacy and safety of timolol cream and PDL in the treatment of superficial proliferating IH. Twenty-one patients with superficial IH were included in the study. Each lesion was divided into two regions; one part was treated with 0.5% topical timolol cream four times daily, and the other part was treated monthly with PDL. Both treatments were continued for 2-6 months. Five independent and blinded assessors were asked to judge the results in both the topical timolol-treated and PDL-treated parts by comparing photographs taken before and after treatment. Both treatments resulted in significant clinical improvements after 3.39 sessions in the 2-month follow up. The average visual evaluation showed that PDL had significantly better results than topical timolol (6.55 ± 2.26 to 4.98 ± 2.92, P < 0.01). No patients experienced permanent side-effects during the treatment. Our short-term study revealed that PDL had better results compared with topical timolol cream application in the treatment of superficial proliferating IH. The article presents the case study of a 45 year old female patient who was born with erythema lesions in the right nuchal and occipital area. The lesions were flat and non-hypertrophic. Recently several nodules began forming above the erythema. The biopsy is performed in the nodules and flat erythema lesion site in the nuchal area and the tissues were sent for pathologic and genetic study.

Background Few specific reports have addressed propranolol as a treatment for parotid hemangioma, and its mechanism remains unclear. Methods Eighty-seven patients were recruited in this prospective study. Ten patients underwent detailed color Doppler examination. The depths, vessel densities, and resistant indices of 10 lesions were recorded and analyzed before treatment and at 1 and 3 months after treatment. Results The overall responses were 'bad' in 2 cases, 'stable' in 4 cases, 'good' in 53 cases, and 'excellent' in 28 cases. Hemangioma regrowth was observed in 11 cases (12.6%). The parents of 18 patients (20.7%) complained that their children experienced minor discomfort during therapy. The lesion depths, vessel densities, and resistant indices were altered after propranolol treatment. Conclusion Propranolol can significantly reduce the sizes of parotid hemangiomas with minor side effects.
