Abstract

Key Clinical Message Nilotinib, a BCR- ABL tyrosine kinase inhibitor, is a known inhibitor of CYP3A4 and could increase the concentration of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4. An immunosuppressive drug for nilotinib-treated patients following transplant should be administered with careful pharmacokinetic monitoring because of its interaction with nilotinib.
