Bone tissue engineering seeks to develop treatment approaches for nonhealing and large bone defects. An ideal biodegradable scaffold will induce and support bone formation. The current study examines bone augmentation in critical‐sized bone defects, using functionalized scaffolds, with the hypothesized potential to induce skeletal cell differentiation. 3D printed, porous poly(caprolactone) trimethacrylate (PCL‐TMA900) scaffolds are applied within a murine femur defect, stabilized by a polyimide intramedullary (IM) pin. The PCL‐TMA900 scaffolds are coated with i) elastin‐like polypeptide (ELP), ii) poly(ethyl acrylate) (PEA)/fibronectin (FN)/bone morphogenetic protein‐2 (PEA/FN/BMP‐2), iii) both ELP and PEA/FN/BMP‐2, or iv) Laponite nanoclay binding BMP‐2. Sequential microcomputed tomography (µCT) and histological analysis are performed. PCL‐TMA900 is robust and biocompatible and when coated with the nanoclay material Laponite and BMP‐2 induce consistent, significant bone formation compared to the uncoated PCL‐TMA900 scaffold. Critically, the BMP‐2 is retained, due to the Laponite, producing bone around the scaffold in the desired shape and volume, compared to bone formation observed with the positive control (collagen sponge/BMP‐2). The ELP and/or PEA/FN/BMP‐2 scaffolds do not demonstrate significant or consistent bone formation. In summary, Laponite/BMP‐2 coated PCL‐TMA900 scaffolds offer a biodegradable, osteogenic construct for bone augmentation with potential for development into a large scale polymer scaffold for clinical translation. Constructing folded molecular structures is emerging as a promising strategy to develop efficient thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials. Most folded TADF materials have V‐shaped configurations formed by donors and acceptors linked on carbazole or fluorene bridges. In this work, a facile molecular design strategy is proposed for exploring sandwich‐structured molecules, and a series of novel and robust TADF materials with regular U‐shaped sandwich conformations are constructed by using 11,12‐dihydroindolo[2,3‐a]carbazole as bridge, xanthone as acceptor, and dibenzothiophene, dibenzofuran, 9‐phenylcarbazole and indolo[3,2,1‐JK]carbazole as donors. They hold outstanding thermal stability with ultrahigh decomposition temperatures (556–563 °C), and exhibit fast delayed fluorescence and excellent photoluminescence quantum efficiencies (86 %–97 %). The regular and close stacking of acceptor and donors results in rigidified molecular structures with efficient through‐space interaction, which are conducive to suppressing intramolecular motion and reducing reorganized excited‐state energy. The organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) using them as emitters exhibit excellent electroluminescence performances, with maximum external quantum efficiencies of up to 30.6 %, which is a leading value for the OLEDs based on folded TADF emitters. These results demonstrate the proposed strategy of employing 11,12‐dihydroindolo[2,3‐a]carbazole as bridge for planar donors and acceptors to construct efficient folded TADF materials is applicable. Light is crucial for flower bud development in plants, serving as both signal and energy source. However, the mechanisms by which daylength and light intensity regulate flowering in modern roses remain unclear. In Rosa hybrida 'Carola', insufficient light delays flowering and reduces the sugar content in terminal buds. RNA sequencing identified the Trehalose‐6‐phosphate phosphatase F (RhTPPF) gene as a key responder to insufficient light, modulating Tre6P metabolism. Overexpression of RhTPPF in rose calli enhanced sugar accumulation and suppressed the synthesis of RhCO/FT. In tobacco, overexpression of RhTPPF delayed the transition from vegetative growth to flowering, while silencing RhTPPF in roses accelerated flowering. Silencing RhTPPF in roses elevated trehalose‐6‐phosphate (Tre6P) levels and decreased trehalose. Transcriptome data showed that the expression level of RhTPPF was highly correlated with the circadian rhythm gene LATE ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL (RhLHY). Yeast one‐hybrid assays, dual luciferase assays and EMSA revealed that RhLHY directly binds to the RhTPPF promoters. Overexpression of RhLHY suppressed flowering, while silencing RhLHY promoted flowering. Furthermore, altering the expression of RhLHY influenced Tre6P synthesis and the expression of sucrose‐related transport genes. These findings suggest a RhLHY‐RhTPPF‐Tre6P regulatory module that maintains sugar balance and inhibits flower formation under reduced light conditions by modulating sugar distribution. The ribbon synapses of cochlear inner hair cells (IHCs) employ efficient vesicle resupply to enable fast and sustained release rates. However, the molecular mechanisms of these physiological activities remain unelucidated. Previous studies showed that the RAB‐specific GTPase‐activating protein TBC1D24 controls the endosomal trafficking of the synaptic vesicles (SVs) in Drosophila and mammalian neurons, and mutations in TBC1D24 may lead to non‐syndromic hearing loss or hearing loss associated with the DOORS syndrome in humans. In this study, we generated a knock‐in mouse model for the p. S178L mutation in TBC1D24, which leads to autosomal dominant non‐syndromic hearing loss (DFNA65). The p.S178L mutant mice show mild hearing loss and progressively declined wave I amplitude of the auditory brainstem responses. Despite the normal gross and cellular morphology of the cochlea, transmission electron microscopy reveals accumulation of endosome‐like vacuoles and a lower‐than‐normal number of SVs directly associated with the ribbons in the IHCs. Consistently, patch clamp of the IHCs shows reduced exocytosis under prolonged stimulus. ARF6, a TBC1D24‐interacting protein also involved in endosomal membrane trafficking, was underexpressed in the cochleae of the mutant mouse and has weakened in vitro interaction with the p.S178L mutant TBC1D24. Our results suggest an important role of TBC1D24 in maintaining endosomal‐mediated vesicle recycling and sustained exocytosis of hair cell ribbon synapses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: Dwarf plant architecture facilitates dense planting, and increased planting densities boost the maize yield. However, breeding applications of dwarfing materials for maize are currently limited. There is an urgent need remove the obstacles to applying dwarf resources. Here, we innovated a new method to add a novel maize dwarf germplasm through the distant hybridization of Maize–Tripsacum–Teosinte allopolyploid (MTP) with maize. We identified ten independent dwarf families with unique characteristics. Five germplasms in our library were controlled by their respective dwarf genes. However, no allele was controlled by Br2. Subsequently, d024 in the library was successfully fine mapped, revealing its linkage to indel‐4 in ZmCYP90D1. The indel‐4 polymorphism regulates the expression of ZmCYP90D1 and is controlled by an upstream transcription factor (ZmBES1/BZR1‐5). The indel‐4 of ZmCYP90D1 allele, which reduces plant height, originated from Tripsacum, a wild variety of maize. However, d024 exhibits sensitivity to brassinosteroids (BRs), with lower castasterone levels in the internodes than that in the wild type. Furthermore, ZmCYP90D1 interacted with ZmFDXs and ZmNAD(P)H to positively regulate the downstream BR synthesis pathway. Additionally, we showed that introgressing the indel‐4 of the Tripsacum allele into modern hybrids ensures yield potential and improves the harvest index under high‐density conditions. Conventional fluorescent WOLEDs generate white light by incomplete energy transfer but face challenges in precisely controlling energy transfer and improving device efficiency due to the maximal utilization of 25% singlet excitons. In this study, two newly developed excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) fluorophores emit orange and white light. These fluorophores utilize excitons efficiently (70–88%) via high‐level reverse intersystem crossing (hRISC) exclusively in the keto form and in both isomers (enol/keto), respectively. The white emitter, with comparable dual emissions, enables the fabrication of color‐stable cold‐white single‐emitter OLED with a CRI of 74 and maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of up to 5.60%. The orange emitter, when combined with a sky‐blue TADF fluorophore, creates non‐energy‐transferred single‐emitting‐layer (SML) high‐performance cold‐ and pure‐white WOLEDs with CIE coordinates of (0.26, 0.35) and (0.32, 0.32), and maximum EQEs of 13.34% and 9.66%, respectively. Importantly, these complementary‐color WOLEDs demonstrate high reproducibility, offering advantages for industrial batch fabrication. Given the extensive application of near‐infrared (NIR) emission, the quest for efficient and versatile NIR semiconductors have attracted tremendous attention. Leveraging trivalent rare earth (RE3+) ions doping, the integration of metal halide perovskites with RE3+ ions makes it easy to achieve NIR‐II emission (1000–1700 nm). However, although showing promise in bioimaging, optical communication, and night vision, enhancing NIR‐II emission intensity to promote further progress in real‐world applications remains a challenge. This review summarizes the recent advancements in RE3+ ion‐doped perovskite NIR semiconductors, and discusses what kind of properties are needed and how to achieve desired optical properties in various applications. The review starts with the synthesis methods for various material types with rich examples. Following this, the mechanisms of strategies for optimizing NIR luminescence performance are discussed in detail. Furthermore, the review highlights their multifunctional applications both as an electrically driven emitter in NIR light‐emitting diodes (LEDs) and as a down‐conversion emitter in photovoltaic devices (PVs) or phosphor‐converted LEDs (pc‐LEDs). Finally, insights on how to fill the gap between current research and future goals are provided. The efficient production of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) solution was achieved by combining cathodic two‐electron oxygen reduction (2e− ORR) and anodic two‐electron water oxidation (2e− WOR) in two half‐reaction cells. h‐BN loaded on carbon fibers (h‐BN@C) is prepared and employed as an anode material to catalyze 2e− WOR, while sulfonated commercial BP‐2000 carbons (BP‐2000‐SO3H) were prepared as the cathode materials for 2e− ORR. In a 2 M KHCO3 solution, an overall Faradaic efficiency of 97 % and a total H2O2 production rate of 1872 mmol g−1 h−1 over metal‐free electrodes were accomplished in a membrane‐free flow cell. The dilute H2O2 solution could be directly used to degrade Rhodamine B, methyl blue and methylene orange dyes in water. The recycling of waste plastics primarily involves physical modification and the addition of modifiers, often utilizing equipment such as twin‐screw extruders for miscible modification. Considering the widespread use of single‐screw 3D printing, improving the mixing efficiency of the single‐screw is crucial to achieve a "one‐stop" recycling modification that is suitable for 3D printing. This paper introduces a 3D printer equipped with a mixing screw (MS) and compares it with a conventional screw (CS). We conduct numerical simulations to investigate the pressure build‐up capacity, velocity streamline distribution, and the mixing effect of the MS. The mechanical properties, thermal characteristics, and molecular orientation of the recycled Polypropylene (rPP) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) mixture are investigated through experiments. The results show that the MS provides more effective elongational flows compared to the CS by breaking down the reinforcing materials into smaller particles. Additionally, toughening and modification experiments are performed on rPP and HDPE. The composites treated with the MS showed improved elongation at break (increased by ~111%), a stable melt crystallization temperature, and an enhanced mixing effect. Summary: Rice tillering is an important agronomic trait that influences plant architecture and ultimately affects yield. This can be genetically improved by mining favourable variations in genes associated with tillering. Based on a previous study on dynamic tiller number, we cloned the gene Tiller number 1a (Tn1a), which encodes a membrane‐localised protein containing the C2 domain that negatively regulates tillering in rice. A 272 bp insertion/deletion at 387 bp upstream of the start codon in the Tn1a promoter confers a differential transcriptional response and results in a change in tiller number. Moreover, the TCP family transcription factors Tb2 and TCP21 repress the Tn1a promoter activity by binding to the TCP recognition site within the 272 bp indel. In addition, we identified that Tn1a may affect the intracellular K+ content by interacting with a cation‐chloride cotransporter (OsCCC1), thereby affecting the expression of downstream tillering‐related genes. The Tn1a+272 bp allele, associated with high tillering, might have been preferably preserved in rice varieties in potassium‐poor regions during domestication. The discovery of Tn1a is of great significance for further elucidating the genetic basis of tillering characteristics in rice and provides a new and favourable allele for promoting the geographic adaptation of rice to soil potassium. Chemodynamic therapy (CDT) has shown promising antitumor effects in various malignant tumors. However, its application for glioblastoma (GBM) is significantly hindered by the challenge of delivering CDT agents across the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) and achieving efficient tumor targeting. To overcome these obstacles, this study presents a novel DNA nanomachine (Cu@tFNAs‐G‐A NM) by loading copper ions (Cu2+) onto tetrahedral framework nucleic acids (tFNAs) functionalized with dual DNA aptamers. The dual DNA aptamers (GS24 for BBB penetration and AS1411 for tumor targeting) empowered Cu@tFNAs‐G‐A NM with the ability to effectively penetrate the BBB and selectively accumulate in tumor cells. Upon internalization, the loaded Cu2+ reacted with tumor‐overexpressed reductive glutathione (GSH) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), generating hydroxyl radicals (·OH) and inducing tumor cell death. Additionally, Cu@tFNAs‐G‐A NM was found to be rapidly cleared from the brain and normal tissues within 24 h, minimizing potential systemic toxic side effects. Summary: The salinization of soil constitutes a substantial hindrance to the advancement of sustainable agriculture. Our research seeks to elucidate the role of a Rab GTPase‐activating protein (RabGAP) family member, SlRabGAP22, in salt tolerance and its translational regulation under salt stress in tomatoes, employing gene‐editing techniques and ribosome profiling methodologies. Findings demonstrate that SlRabGAP22 acts as a positive regulator of tomato salt tolerance, with four predicted upstream open reading frames (uORFs) classified into three categories. Functional uORFs were found to be negative regulation. Editing these uORFs along with altering their classifications and characteristics mitigated the inhibitory effects on primary ORFs and fine‐tuned gene expression. Enhanced tomato salt tolerance was attributed to improved scavenging of reactive oxygen species, reduced toxicity Na+, and diminished osmotic stress effects. Furthermore, we conducted genome‐wide analysis of ORFs to lay the foundation for further research on uORFs in tomatoes. In summary, our findings offer novel perspectives and important data for the enhancement of genetic traits via uORF‐based strategies and translational regulation against the backdrop of salt stress. Rapeseed protein, as a valuable plant protein, holds great potential as a natural emulsifier for construction of food‐grade high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs). In this work, rapeseed protein, obtained through salt extraction combined with ultrafiltration, was employed as a sole stabilizer to formulate algae oil‐based HIPEs. The effects of protein concentration and pH changes on the physicochemical properties of HIPEs are systematically evaluated. The results show that a protein concentration of 0.5 wt% is sufficient to form stable and self‐supporting HIPEs. As the protein concentration increases, the droplet size of HIPEs gradually decreases, leading to a more robust structure and enhanced stability. Compared to neutral conditions (pH 7.0), the HIPEs under acidic pH 3.5 exhibit more densely packed emulsion droplets with smaller size and more uniform distribution, contributing to superior mechanical properties (higher G′ and yield stress) as well as preferable thixotropic and creep recovery behaviors, which thereby improve their physical stability during storage, thermal processing, and freeze‐thaw cycles. Furthermore, the rapeseed protein‐stabilized HIPEs inhibit the oxidation of algae oil, especially at pH 3.5. The results of oral lubrication indicate that the reduction in the friction coefficient is mainly associated with an increase in protein concentration, with minor effect from pH variation. These findings suggest that rapeseed protein is an effective emulsifier for preparing stable and processable HIPEs, especially under acidic conditions, which have great potential for applications in semi‐solid emulsion foods or edible oil structuring. To address the issue of mutual disturbance between coal seams in close‐proximity coal seam mining, this study examines the opposite excavation of the 10,205 working face and the 20,203 mining roadway in the Longhua Coal Mine. By combining theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, we investigate the mechanical model of stress distribution on the upper working face floor and the changes in the surrounding rock stress environment of the lower coal seam roadway during relative excavation of close‐proximity coal seams. The results indicate that the interlayer distance and stagger distance between the upper and lower coal seams are the primary factors influencing the stress on the surrounding rock of the lower coal seam under opposite operation conditions. The stress environment of the lower coal seam roadway changes mainly with the advancement of the upper coal seam, dividing the roadway into four distinct stress zones: (1) Interlayer rock mass deformation stability zone, (2) mining dynamic pressure influence zone, (3) interlayer rock mass deformation deceleration zone, and (4) small deformation zone of interlayer rock mass. Through numerical modeling and engineering measurements, the surrounding rock stress environment of the 20,203 mining roadway in the Longhua Coal Mine is analyzed. The findings reveal that, under the actual engineering conditions of the Longhua Coal Mine, the staggered distance of the upper working face ranges from 92.6 to 66.3 m, corresponding to the original rock stress stage. The range from 66.3 to 31.3 m represents the mining dynamic pressure influence area, while the range from 31.3 to −17.8 m corresponds to the goaf dynamic pressure influence area. Zn anodes in aqueous zinc‐ion batteries chronically suffer from pernicious side reactions and ineluctable dendrite growth, resulting in inadequate reversibility and suboptimal Coulombic efficiency (CE) and impeding commercialization. Herein, a multifunctional metal–organic coordination polymer layer (FAZ) is constructed on the zinc anode surface (FAZ@Zn) utilizing a simple self‐assembly strategy. The zincophilic FAZ interfacial layer with a high Zn2+ transfer number and low nucleation barrier effectively facilitates the de‐solvation process, supports the rapid transport of zinc ions, and contributes to the preferential growth of Zn (002) crystal planes, enabling dendrite‐free Zn deposition. Furthermore, the FAZ layer, as an interfacial pH regulating layer, effectively inhibits the direct contact between Zn and active water molecules, lowering the severity of side reactions. Consequently, the FAZ@Zn anode furnishes an eminent cycle stability over 6900 h, with a low polarization voltage at 1 mA cm−2 and 1 mA h cm−2 and a boosted CE of 99.88% over 4100 cycles. More encouragingly, when coupled with Na2V6O16·3H2O, the FAZ@Zn anode enables the full cell to deliver satisfactory rate performance and a 97% capacity retention over 1600 cycles. Direct in situ imaging of nucleic acids on biological samples is advantageous for rapid analysis without DNA extraction. However, traditional nucleic acid amplification in aqueous solutions tends to lose spatial information because of the high mobility of molecules. Similar to a cellular matrix, hydrogels with biomimetic 3D nanoconfined spaces can limit the free diffusion of nucleic acids, thereby allowing for ultrafast in situ enzymatic reactions. In this study, hydrogel‐based in situ space‐confined interfacial amplification (iSCIA) is developed for direct imaging of single nucleic acid and single pathogen on biological samples without formaldehyde fixation. With a polyethylene glycol hydrogel coating, nucleic acids on the sample are nanoconfined with restricted movement, while in situ amplification can be successfully performed. As a result, the nucleic acids are lighted‐up on the large‐scale surface in 20 min, with a detection limit as low as 1 copy/10 cm2. Multiplex imaging with a deep learning model is also established to automatically analyze multiple targets. Furthermore, the iSCIA imaging of pathogens on plant leaves and food is successfully used to monitor plant health and food safety. Polyolefin elastomer (POE) has very weak crystalline ability, consequently, applying the conventional preparative temperature‐rising elution fractionation (P‐TREF) to separate is challenging. Here, a unique, home‐built P‐TREF apparatus with an extensive range of temperatures from −80°C to 150°C is applied to first fractionate POE depending on its crystallizability. The main fractions are eluted at 0°C, 8°C, 15°C, 20°C, 25°C, 30°C, and 35°C. The corresponding weight percentages of fractions are 8.31, 13.38, 15.59, 12.05, 13.39, 17.30, and 10.53 wt%, respectively. The chain structures of fractions are further analyzed by high‐temperature gel permeation chromatography (HT‐GPC), 13C‐nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (13C‐NMR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and successive self‐nucleation and annealing (SSA). The crystallinity of the fraction grows continually as the elution temperature rises. The 1‐octene comonomer concentrations within the fractions decreases from 13.8 to 7.9 mol% when the elution temperature rises from −10°C to 40°C. These findings enable for the detailed recognition of the chain microstructure of POE resin and the extension of the TREF approach to POE resins. Constructing an internal electric field (IEF) within the hematite (Fe2O3) photoanode for highly efficient water oxidation performance with facilitated charge transfer and separation remains still a significant challenge. Unlike the conventional approach of creating interfacial electric fields through heterojunction design by introducing another semiconductor, a novel strategy is proposed for engineering localized n‐p homojunctions on the surface of Fe2O3 photoanode using gradient Zn2+ doping strategy. By implementing this approach, the inherent n‐type characteristics of Fe2O3 can be transformed into p‐type, thereby facilitating the formation of an n‐p junction with robust IEF, which enables more efficient charge separation and transfer. Additionally, the gradient Zn2+ doping is accompanied by the generation of oxygen vacancies, which further improves the charge transfer efficiency and accelerates water oxidation kinetics. As expected, the photocurrent density of optimized Fe2O3 photoanode at 1.23 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode is ≈2.6‐fold that of Fe2O3. In the cost function of model predictive torque control (MPTC) of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), torque and flux linkage have different dimensions, and the weighting factor needs to be properly adjusted to optimise the control performance. Therefore, based on the discrete mathematical model of PMSM, the torque predictive error and flux predictive error expressions are mapped to the two‐phase static coordinate system, which is equivalent to the distance expressions from the endpoint of the voltage vector to the straight line and to the circle respectively. Because they have the same dimension, they can be directly superimposed to form the cost function proposed, which eliminates the selection process of the weighting factor. Then, the candidate voltage vector is substituted into the cost function in turn, and the optimal voltage vector with the minimum cost function is selected as the voltage input of the next control cycle. Fracture non‐union occurs due to various factors, leading to the development of potentially substantial bone defects. While autograft and allograft are the current gold standards for non‐union fractures, challenges related to availability and immune rejection highlight the need for improved treatments. A strategy in bone tissue engineering is to harness growth factors to induce an effect on cells to change their phenotype, behavior and initiate signaling pathways which lead to increased matrix deposition and tissue formation. Light use efficiency (LUE) models, along with satellite‐based vegetation maps and climatic reanalysis products as drivers, are effective tools for estimating large‐scale gross primary productivity (GPP). However, the climate‐induced uncertainty in LUE‐based GPP remains poorly understood, particularly the temporal scaling uncertainty from ignored climatic fluctuations. Here, two 1‐hourly reanalysis products, along with site‐based observations, were employed to drive a two‐leaf LUE model at 194 eddy‐covariance (EC) sites. The observation‐driven and reanalysis‐driven GPP at the 1‐hourly resolution were evaluated against EC GPP to illustrate the uncertainty from reanalysis products, with mean absolute deviation (MAD) and Nash‐Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) as criterion. Moreover, the climate‐induced temporal scaling uncertainty was characterized by comparing distributed GPP (modeled with 1‐hourly resolution climatic drivers) and lumped GPP (modeled with 6‐hourly resolution climatic drivers). At the 1‐hourly resolution, results demonstrated that the reanalysis‐driven GPP showed a weaker relationship with EC GPP (MAD = 0.14 gC m−2h−1, NSE = 0.48) than the observation‐driven GPP (MAD = 0.12 gC m−2h−1, NSE = 0.60), confirming the nonnegligible climate‐induced uncertainty from reanalysis products. Additionally, the climate‐induced uncertainty arising from gridded radiation was found to be significantly larger than that associated with temperature and vapor pressure deficit (VPD). At the 6‐hourly resolution, both the observation‐driven and reanalysis‐driven lumped GPP exhibited a lower relationship with EC GPP (MAD = 0.63 gC m−26h−1, NSE = 0.54) than the corresponding distributed GPP (MAD = 0.57 gC m−26h−1, NSE = 0.59), demonstrating that the climate‐induced temporal scaling uncertainty in 6‐hourly GPP estimates was significantly apparent. High‐energy‐density lithium metal batteries (LMBs) hold enormous potential for future energy storage systems but are plagued by poor cycling stability and safety concerns, especially under high‐rate conditions. The addition of fluorinated solvents to the electrolyte is effective in enhancing the stability of the lithium metal anode (LMA) and improving safety for LMBs. However, the extensive introduction of fluorinated solvents is not conducive to the transport of lithium‐ions (Li+), thereby negatively affecting the rate performance of LMBs. Herein, a safe ether electrolyte (SEE) is designed that exhibits both high Li+ conductivity and nonflammability, while maintaining high compatibility with the LMA. Li–LiNi0.8Mn0.1Co0.1O2 (NMC811) cells utilizing SEE can demonstrate remarkable electrochemical performance, delivering a discharge capacity of 113.1 mAh g⁻¹ at rates as high as 30 C and maintaining 90% of their initial capacity over 300 cycles at 10 C. Metal–organic cage‐based photo‐responsive supramolecular frameworks (PSMFs) with permanent porosity have gained attention for their modular properties, controllable functionality, and light‐induced reversible responsiveness. However, their high porosity and photo‐responsive efficiency are often compromised due to poor structural stability upon solvent removal, limiting their potential applications. Here, a solution to overcome this challenge by employing a surface polymerization strategy using isophorone diisocyanate (IDI) to stabilize PSMF (PCC‐20t) is presented. This approach results in the composite of PCC‐20t@PolyIDI, which preserves crystallinity and permanent high‐porosity while avoiding structural collapse commonly observed in highly porous supramolecular frameworks. Moreover, compared to activated PCC‐20t, PCC‐20t@PolyIDI exhibits an 18.6‐fold increase in specific surface area. Remarkably, the structural variability of PCC‐20t@PolyIDI can be observed in the photo‐regulation behavior of CO2 capacity under the irradiation of vis‐ and UV‐light, showing a 27.9% change in adsorption amount for CO2 which is significantly higher than that of the activated PCC‐20t with 7.0% for CO2. Grand Canonical Monte Carlo simulations demonstrate the light‐regulated adsorption performance is attributed to the configuration transformation of azobenzene from trans‐ to buckling state. Objective: This study aims to clarify the uncertain association between vasopressor administration and the development of intensive care unit‐acquired weakness (ICUAW) in critically ill adult patients. Methods: We conducted a comprehensive search of PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials up to October 10, 2023. Titles and abstracts were independently screened by two authors, who then reviewed full texts and extracted relevant data from the studies that met the inclusion criteria. This review included prospective and retrospective cohort studies that explored the relationship between vasopressor use and ICUAW utilizing univariate or multivariate analysis in adult ICU patients. Results: A total of 15 studies were included in our review, collectively indicating a statistically significant association between the use of vasopressors and the occurrence of ICUAW (odds ratio [OR], 3.43; 95% confidence intervals [CI], 1.95–6.04), including studies utilizing multivariate analysis (OR, 3.43; 95% CI, 1.76–6.70). Specifically, the use of noradrenaline was significantly associated with ICUAW (OR, 4.42; 95% CI, 1.69–11.56). Subgroup and sensitivity analyses further underscored the significant relationship between vasopressor use and ICUAW, particularly in studies focusing on patients with clinical weakness, varying study designs, different sample sizes, and relatively low risk of bias. However, this association was not observed in studies limited to patients with abnormal electrophysiology. Conclusions: Our review underscores a significant link between the use of vasopressors and the development of ICUAW in critically ill adult patients. Background: With the ageing of the population intensifying, the implementation of advance care planning (ACP) in nursing facilities is especially crucial. Objective: This study aimed to search and synthesise qualitative studies exploring the perspectives of older people in nursing facilities about ACP discussions. Methods: The researchers conducted searches of PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang, VIP and CBM between the time of inception and October 2023. The PICo model was used to build the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Following the inclusion and exclusion criteria, two researchers screened the literature, extracted data and then integrated the literature using the integrative synthesis. Results: A total of 12 articles were included, 47 themes were extracted, and three research integrations were summarised: (1) understanding of ACP; (2) attitude towards ACP; and (3) influencing factors of participation in ACP. Conclusion: This study offers guidance for the future development of ACP on the participation of older people in nursing facilities. Implications for Practice: It is necessary to strengthen the education of ACP‐related knowledge in conjunction with the cultural characteristics of different countries, to provide interdisciplinary support for older people through professional teamwork and to promote the development and improvement of ACP‐related practices. Directly electrochemical conversion of nitrate (NO3−) is an efficient and environmentally friendly technology for ammonia (NH3) production but is challenged by highly selective electrocatalysts. High‐entropy alloys (HEAs) with unique properties are attractive materials in catalysis, particularly for multi‐step reactions. Herein, we first reported the application of HEA (FeCoNiAlTi) for electrocatalytic NO3− reduction to NH3 (NRA). The bulk HEA is active for NRA but limited by the unsatisfied NH3 yield of 0.36 mg h−1 cm−2 and Faradaic efficiency (FE) of 82.66 %. Through an effective phase engineering strategy, uniform intermetallic nanoparticles are introduced on the bulk HEA to increase electrochemical active surface area and charge transfer efficiency. The resulting nanostructured HEA (n‐HEA) delivers enhanced electrochemical NRA performance in terms of NH3 yield (0.52 mg h−1 cm−2) and FE (95.23 %). Further experimental and theoretical investigations reveal that the multi‐active sites (Fe, Co, and Ni) dominated electrocatalysis for NRA over the n‐HEA. The proton exchange membrane water electrolysis system has long been considered a promising technique for the generation of hydrogen owing to its high electrolytic efficiency, reliability, and quick response to renewable energy sources. At present, noble metals and their oxides (e.g., Pt, IrO2, and RuO2) are widely used as high active electrocatalysts for accelerating the conversion efficiency of the water electrolysis process, especially in acidic media. Nevertheless, the scarcity and instability seriously impede their large‐scale application in practice. In the past years, metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) have proven to be an ideal platform for designing efficient and cost‐effective electrodes due to their unique physicochemical properties. In this review, the fundamental catalytic mechanisms of hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in acidic media are discussed first. Then, design strategies and advanced characterizations for MOF‐based water‐splitting catalysts are summarized. Finally, the recent research advances of MOF‐based electrocatalysts for HER and OER in acidic electrolytes, along with current challenges and future opportunities, are provided. This paper proposes a predictive power control strategy for the three‐phase, six‐switch Vienna rectifier without grid voltage sensors to reduce the hardware cost and complexity of a high‐power PWM rectifier system. Firstly, an algorithm for calculating the AC‐side voltage in the αβ coordinate system is derived according to the operating principle of the Vienna rectifier, and a voltage observer is constructed by combining a second‐order low‐pass filter to estimate the grid voltage. Secondly, a soft start method is designed to solve the problem that the rectifier is prone to inrush current when it is started. Furthermore, the control method of grid voltage sensorless is combined with predictive power control with good dynamic characteristics and simple parameter settings to form the control strategy proposed in this paper. Finally, simulation analysis and experimental verification are carried out on the proposed control strategy. Simulation and experimental results show that the grid voltage estimation has high accuracy, a good surge current suppression effect, unit power factor operation, low input current harmonic content, and good dynamic and steady‐state performance. Increases in temperature and pressure caused by rapid burial of sediments seaward of the Sumatra subduction zone have been hypothesized to trigger dehydration reactions that diagenetically strengthen sediments and contribute to the formation of an over‐pressured pre‐décollement, which together facilitate the occurrence of large shallow earthquakes. We present paleomagnetic, rock magnetic, and electron microscopic analyses from drill cores collected offshore Sumatra at Site U1480 during IODP Expedition 362 that support this hypothesis. The older pre‐fan units (Late Cretaceous to early Paleocene) were deposited when Site U1480 was moving rapidly northward with the Indian plate from a paleolatitude of 50° to 30°S, which would equate to expected absolute paleomagnetic inclinations of 70°–43°. Most of the older pre‐fan sediments, however, have shallow observed inclinations (shallower than ±20°), indicating that the sediments were overprinted when Site U1480 was located near the paleoequator, as it has been since the early Oligocene. Electron microscopic observations reveal that the pre‐existing detrital magnetite grains have undergone pervasive dissolution and alteration by hydrothermal fluids. The diagenesis observed is consistent with mineral dehydration, possibly driven by rapid burial of pelagic sediments by the ∼1250 m thick Nicobar Fan sequence. In addition, the elevated burial temperature also facilitated the smectite to illite conversion reaction. We hypothesize that chemical reactions resulted in the formation of fine‐grained magnetite that records a chemical remanent magnetization overprint. This overprint is consistent with the alteration occurring after burial by the thick Nicobar Fan sequence sometime in the past few million years. Plain Language Summary: Sediments and rocks commonly contain magnetic minerals that record the direction and intensity of Earth's magnetic field as they are being emplaced, thus preserving an ancient record of the geomagnetic field. Subsequent alteration of the magnetic minerals caused by heating and/or fluid circulation can result in the acquisition of secondary magnetizations (i.e., remagnetization) that may overprint or completely reset the primary ancient magnetization. Such remagnetization provides evidence of the physical and chemical changes that have occurred. Here through paleomagnetic, rock magnetic, and microscopic analyses of the deeper older (pre‐fan) stratigraphic sequence cored offshore Sumatra, we find that hydrothermal fluids, resulting from mineral dehydration driven by rapid burial of this sequence by younger, thick Nicobar Fan sediments, led to pervasive secondary remagnetization. Consequently, the newly formed magnetite recorded a much younger paleomagnetic field, leaving a shallow overprint that probably occurred sometime in the past few million years. The dehydration reactions also increased the strength of the sediments entering the subduction zone and aided in the formation of slip surfaces (called décollements), possibly contributing to the shallow, large earthquakes that have generated tsunamis off Sumatra. Fused filament fabrication (FFF) has been widely adopted due to its simplicity and cost‐effectiveness. But until now, its application materials are still limited. Polyolefin material is one of the most commonly used plastics. However, low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) is rarely used in FFF due to the inadequate strength of the filaments and the warpage of the printed parts. In this work, polystyrene (PS) is added to LDPE to obtain blend filaments. After that, the filaments are used to validate the possibility of in situ microfibrillation directly in the process. The results show that the addition of PS can significantly improve the bending strength, bending modulus, and hardness without affecting the heat resistance and crystal transition of the composite. Besides, the PS dispersed phase can form microfibers under the influence of the shear field. The formation of microfibers can significantly enhance the mechanical properties of composites. The tensile strength and Young's modulus increase by 140% and 221%, respectively. The warping deformation and surface morphology of printed parts are also improved. This paper proposes an innovative design approach for a voltage‐controlled (variable) attenuator that allows continuous control of attenuation through analog voltage. Different from fixed attenuators, this work employs PIN diodes and compensated gold wire inductors to configure the attenuation network. It is based in imperfect matching theory, ensuring to obtain the acceptable S‐parameters over the operating band. Measurement results demonstrate effective performance of the attenuator within the voltage range of 0.7–1.03 V. Return losses of the attenuator are all better than 15 dB in the operating range of 10.5–19 GHz. Over the past century, the field of antibody discovery has undergone significant evolution, excluding the current exploration stage of artificial intelligence‐based antibody generation and the often overlooked non‐animal sourced antibody discovery, which typically requires mature in vitro affinity and the selection of high‐quality antigen formulations. This journey has traversed various stages, from methods involving serum‐based antibody acquisition, the isolation of B cells capable of perpetual antibody production through hybridoma technology, to the in‐depth exploration of genetic material using the phage display system, and the current stage involving diverse single B cell screening techniques. Additionally, the emergence of machine learning has brought impressive scientific and technological breakthroughs across research domains, proving to be a powerful application in the field of antibody discovery. However, each technique comes with its limitations, such as variability and control challenges in serum‐based acquisition, lengthy and difficult hybridoma‐derived antibody development, potential limitations in sequence and epitope diversity due to immunization biases in phage display techniques, and costly single B cell screening. Protein mass spectrometry sequencing, with shorter acquisition time and lower costs, is seen as a shortcut by diagnostic companies, impacting traditional antibody development. In diagnostic antibody development, methodological differences in downstream assays and the impact of constant regions outside the Fv core are often neglected. This paper deeply analyzes challenges, proposing innovative strategies for the next generation of diagnostic antibody development. Aqueous zinc ion batteries hold promise as alternative systems to lithium‐based batteries. However, practical development faces critical challenges due to parasitic side reactions and dendrite growth in zinc anodes. While introducing electrolyte additives is promising, monofunctional additives offer limited protection to the zinc anode from a single aspect. Herein, a disodium succinate additive is presented to establish a hydrophobic and zincophilic dual electric layer structure on the Zn surface, regulate the solvation structure of Zn2+, and act as a pH buffer during cycling. As a result, the symmetrical cell with an electrolyte containing 0.2 m SADS shows a durable life of over 2200 h, and the Zn||MnO2 full cell still maintains an 80% capacity retention after 1000 cycles. In addition, SADS both show wide applicability in the match with NVO and I2 cathode. In recent years, in the development of emerging immunotherapy, B7‐H3 is also termed as CD276 and has become a novel chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)‐T target against glioma and other tumours, and aroused extensive attention. However, B7‐H3 has three isoforms (2, 3 and 4Ig) with the controversial expression and elusive function in tumour especially glioma. The current study mainly focuses on the regulatory factors and related mechanisms of generation of different B7‐H3 isoforms. First, we have determined that 2Ig is dominant in glioma with high malignancy, and 4Ig is widely expressed, whereas 3Ig shows negative expression in all glioma. Next, we have further found that RNA binding protein annexin A2 (ANXA2) is essential for B7‐H3 isoform maintenance, but fail to determine the choice of 4Ig or 2Ig. RNA methyltransferase NOP2/Sun RNA methyltransferase 2 (NSUN2) and 5‐methylcytosine reader Y‐box binding protein 1 (YBX1) facilitate the production of 2Ig. Our findings have uncovered a series of factors (ANXA2/NSUN2/YBX1) that can determine the alternative generation of different isoforms of B7‐H3 in glioma. Our result aims to help peers gain a clearer understanding of the expression and regulatory mechanisms of B7H3 in tumour patients, and to provide better strategies for designing B7H3 as a target in immunotherapy. This paper comprehensively investigated the effect of the tool geometries on heat transfer and special crystallization characteristics in the drilling of carbon fiber‐reinforced polyetheretherketone (CF/PEEK) composite for the first time. Three tools with different geometries (twist, brad, and dagger drill) are carried out on CF/PEEK drilling experiments, and temperature, as well as crystallinity and surface roughness, are introduced to make a comparative evaluation on the effect of the tool geometries. The results show that the drilling temperature is determined by the contact length of the profile between the drill and the material. Correspondingly, better surface quality with lower surface roughness and smoother surface is obtained by using a twist drill due to the heat‐induced PEEK smearing effect. Further, in situ XRD and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) were used to characterize the crystallization characteristics where crystal phase transformation at different temperatures was measured. The occurring temperature of the strongest crystallization characteristics for CF/PEEK is basically not affected by tool geometries, all at 300°C, and the limiting crystallization temperature is 344.5 ± 0.7°C. The crystallinity is found to be affected by drilling temperature and cooling rate and gradually decreases along the heat transfer direction. This work provides a new sight into the improvement of CF/PEEK drilling. Objectives: The inner mechanism of how diabetes affects dental pulp of patients with periodontitis has seldom been reported. We collected clinical samples and explored the influence of diabetes and periodontitis on the pathological change of dental pulp. Methods: Dental pulp from healthy individuals and patients with periodontitis with or without diabetes were collected based on strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. Dental pulp was morphologically observed; advanced glycation end products (AGEs) and lectin‐like oxidized low‐density lipoprotein receptor‐1 (LOX1) were examined. Oxidative stress (OS), inflammatory indices, and apoptotic levels were assessed. Results: Morphologically, fibrous structure in the dental pulp of patients with diabetic periodontitis (DP) group was sparse and disordered, and the blood vessel wall was thickened. Diabetes related indexes as AGEs and LOX1 were upregulated. Superoxide dismutase 2 expression was decreased, and OS level was increased. Matrix metalloproteinase 3 and other relevant proinflammatory cytokines levels were increased. The elevated OS and inflammation contributed to upregulation of apoptotic levels in DP group. Conclusions: Diabetes aggravates the pathological changes in the dental pulp of periodontitis patients possibly due to upregulated AGEs and LOX1. INTRODUCTION: Tropomyosin related kinase B (TrkB) and C (TrkC) receptor signaling promotes synaptic plasticity and interacts with pathways affected by amyloid beta (Aβ) toxicity. Upregulating TrkB/C signaling could reduce Alzheimer's disease (AD)‐related degenerative signaling, memory loss, and synaptic dysfunction. METHODS: PTX‐BD10‐2 (BD10‐2), a small molecule TrkB/C receptor partial agonist, was orally administered to aged London/Swedish‐APP mutant mice (APPL/S) and wild‐type controls. Effects on memory and hippocampal long‐term potentiation (LTP) were assessed using electrophysiology, behavioral studies, immunoblotting, immunofluorescence staining, and RNA sequencing. RESULTS: In APPL/S mice, BD10‐2 treatment improved memory and LTP deficits. This was accompanied by normalized phosphorylation of protein kinase B (Akt), calcium‐calmodulin–dependent kinase II (CaMKII), and AMPA‐type glutamate receptors containing the subunit GluA1; enhanced activity‐dependent recruitment of synaptic proteins; and increased excitatory synapse number. BD10‐2 also had potentially favorable effects on LTP‐dependent complement pathway and synaptic gene transcription. DISCUSSION: BD10‐2 prevented APPL/S/Aβ‐associated memory and LTP deficits, reduced abnormalities in synapse‐related signaling and activity‐dependent transcription of synaptic genes, and bolstered transcriptional changes associated with microglial immune response. Over the past few decades, the overuse of antibiotics has raised concerns about drinking water and potential health risks, especially the hydrochloride tetracycline (TC‐HCl). Therefore, it is crucial to develop a simple, low‐cost and high‐efficiency photocatalyst for the degradation of the pollutant. A novel photocatalyst with an S‐scheme heterojunction structure of AgIn5S8 and Bi2MoO6 was synthesized by using a solvothermal method. The heterojunction photocatalyst obtained demonstrates superior photocatalytic degradation activity for hydrochloride tetracycline (TC‐HCl) under visible light irradiation. It exhibits higher photocatalytic degradation performance than pure AgIn5S8 and Bi2MoO6 under the same conditions. The heterojunction with 3 % AgIn5S8 exhibited the highest degradation efficiency of 63.65 % within 40 minutes. Furthermore, the degradation rate is 6.21 times higher than that of AgIn5S8 and 2.18 times higher than that of Bi2MoO6. The improved photocatalytic activity is primarily attributed to the enhanced light absorption and the high rate of carrier separation resulting from S‐scheme heterojunctions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study presents findings that suggest it is possible to fine‐tune and enhance the optical properties of anthraquinone (AQ) and its photocatalytic performance in the degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) at the molecular level through varying its keleton substituents. Specifically, the electron‐withdrawing substituent demonstrates a more pronounced improvement effect compared to the electron‐donating substituent. Out of the several compounds, 2‐carboxyanthraquinone (AQ−COOH) exhibits the highest photocatalytic activity. This is due to its ionization in water, generating H+ ions that enhance the destruction of RhB through photodegradation. After 30 min of exposure to visible light, the degradation rate of RhB reaches an impressive 99.9 %. It is noteworthy that a hydrochloric acid solution with a concentration of 0.5 mmol ⋅ L−1 has a considerable promoting impact on the photodegradation of RhB catalyzed by AQ−COOH, and that the total degradation of RhB can be accomplished in 15 min. In addition, AQ−COOH also has good applicability for the degradation of tetracycline, methylene blue, and methyl orange. As a recyclable solid catalyst, the catalytic activity of AQ−COOH remained mostly unchanged after being used five times. Additionally, AQ−COOH did not undergo degradation when exposed to visible light, indicating its excellent stability in the process of catalyzing RhB degradation. According to quenching experiments and EPR spectrum characterizations, the photo‐generated active species oxygen vacancies (h+), photogenerated electrons (e−), superoxide free radicals (O2⋅−), singlet oxygen (1O2) and hydroxyl radical (•OH) are involved in the hypothesized photo‐catalytic degradation mechanism. Enzymes have flexible structures and can modulate the multiple catalytic sites efficiently for synergistic catalysis. Inspired by enzymes, various artificial catalysts have been designed, while controllable synergistic effects in artificial catalysts have never been reported. Here, we report the first example of photo‐regulated synergistic catalyst (PRSC) and the synergistic effects between acidic and basic sites can be regulated by light. PRSCs have acidic sites on pore walls and basic sites on pendant azobenzene groups, and photo‐regulation is achieved through azobenzene isomerization. In the cascade reaction of converting benzaldehyde dimethyl acetal (BA) to benzylidenemalononitrile (BM), the PRSC shows a change of up to 33.6% in BM yield. Mechanism exploration indicates that cis azobenzene makes the catalytic system more stable. The promoted adsorption energy of the reactant malononitrile (MN) on basic sites and the activated C atom of MN that connects to methylene groups are responsible for the tunable synergistic effects of PRSCs. The emergence of polymerized small molecule acceptors (PSMAs) has significantly improved the performance of all‐polymer solar cells (all‐PSCs). However, the pace of device engineering lacks behind that of materials development, so that a majority of the PSMAs have not fulfilled their potentials. Furthermore, most high‐performance all‐PSCs rely on the use of chloroform as the processing solvent. For instance, the recent high‐performance PSMA, named PJ1‐γ, with high LUMO, and HOMO levels, could only achieve a PCE of 16.1% with a high‐energy‐level donor (JD40) using chloroform. Herein, we present a methodology combining sequential processing (SqP) with the addition of 0.5%wt PC71BM as a solid additive (SA) to achieve an impressive efficiency of 18.0% for all‐PSCs processed from toluene, an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent. Compared to the conventional blend‐casting (BC) method whose best efficiency (16.7%) could only be achieved using chloroform, the SqP method significantly boosted the device efficiency using toluene as the processing solvent. In addition, the donor we employ is the classic PM6 that has deeper energy levels than JD40, which provides low energy loss for the device. We compare the results with another PSMA (PYF‐T‐o) with the same method. Finally, an improved photostability of the SqP devices with the incorporation of SA is demonstrated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nowadays, the problem of antibiotic pollution in the water environment is becoming more and more serious, which has caused great harm to human health and the circulatory system. Therefore, it is extremely crucial to design an effective and sensitive method for the recognition of antibiotics in water. In this research, 1‐(4‐carboxyphenyl)‐1H‐pyrazole‐3‐carboxylic acid (H2L) was used as a ligand to prepare a luminescent two‐dimensional (2D) metal–organic framework (MOF), CdL·H2O (1). 1 can specifically recognize antibiotic cephalothin (CET) in aqueous environments through a fluorescence‐enhanced response, which demonstrated a favorable linear correlation between the fluorescence intensities of 1 and the concentrations of CET (0–50 μM) with a linear fluorescence enhancement slope KEC value of 5.4750 × 104 M−1 and a limit of detection (LOD) of 165 nM. The fast response, good selectivity, anti‐interference ability, and reusability for CET recognition were also verified. 1 represents the inaugural MOF‐based fluorescent material designed for the recognition of CET.
