In this study, the performance of 24 Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) models in simulating the dynamic processes of Arctic sea ice concentration (SIC)‐ and El Niño‐Southern Oscillation (ENSO)‐ forced teleconnection during winter is subjectively and objectively evaluated. The Arctic SIC‐forced teleconnection is associated with a warm Arctic‐cold Eurasian pattern of surface temperature (T2m), a low Arctic‐high Eurasian pattern of sea level pressure (SLP), and a southeastward propagating wave‐train originating from Arctic in the upper troposphere. The ENSO‐forced teleconnection is associated with a poleward propagating wave‐train originating from tropical Pacific in the upper troposphere, a low North Pacific‐high Arctic pattern of SLP, and a cold North Pacific‐warm Greenland pattern of T2m. The metrics of Taylor skill scores and Distance between indices of simulation and observation (DISO) are used to objectively and quantitatively evaluate the performance of models. The results of subjective and objective evaluation are essentially consistent. The CanESM5, MPI‐ESM1‐2‐HR, EC‐Earth3, and MRI‐ESM2‐0 models have the best performance in simulating the Arctic SIC‐forced teleconnection. The CESM2, ACCESS‐CM2, NESM3, NorESM2‐MM, CAS‐ESM2‐0, MRI‐ESM2‐0 models have the best performance in simulating the ENSO‐forced teleconnection. The two best‐performing multi‐model ensembles well reproduce the dynamic processes of the Arctic SIC‐ and ENSO‐ forced teleconnection. The diversity of model performance is attributed to the different skills of different models in simulating the interannual variability of Arctic SIC, the anomalous deep warm high over the Barents‐Kara Seas, the interannual variability of tropical Pacific SSTs, and the wave number of poleward propagating Rossby waves. The North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) and North Atlantic tripole sea surface temperature (SST_tri) are important modes in the atmosphere and ocean over the North Atlantic, respectively. The link between the two is well‐known. However, this link weakened during 1980–2001, which is particularly pronounced in late winter and was not detected in early winter. This phenomenon has not been well revealed. The role of NAO in the above correlation changes was discussed. In late winter, a significant eastward shift (up to 20° longitude) of NAO south center during 1980–2001 was observed in both observation and CMIP6, accompanied by the eastward expansion of NAO north center. Spatial shift of the NAO forced the region of strong air‐sea interactions to shift and resulting in the collapse of NAO‐related SST_tri. These findings deepen our understanding of the NAO on the subseasonal scale. In ultrafast laser writing, and light‐matter interaction in general, it has been widely accepted that the higher the energy density, the stronger material changes occur, unless thermal effects are involved. Here, this belief is challenged by demonstrating that a decreased energy density—achieved through increased scanning speed and without thermal accumulation—surprisingly leads to a more significant modification of silica glass, i.e, a higher increase in the isotropic refractive index or greater birefringence of nanopore‐mediated modification. This counterintuitive phenomenon is attributed to the nonlocality of light‐matter interaction at tight focusing, where the intensity gradient of the light beam and associated diffusion of charge carriers play a critical role in increasing material modification. The impact of external factors on the human gut microbiota and how gut microbes contribute to human health is an intriguing question. Here, the gut microbiome of 3,224 individuals (496 with serum metabolome) with 109 variables is studied. Multiple analyses reveal that geographic factors explain the greatest variance of the gut microbiome and the similarity of individuals' gut microbiome is negatively correlated with their geographic distance. Main food components are the most important factors that mediate the impact of host habitats on the gut microbiome. Diet and gut microbes collaboratively contribute to the variation of serum metabolites, and correlate to the increase or decrease of certain clinical indexes. Specifically, systolic blood pressure is lowered by vegetable oil through increasing the abundance of Blautia and reducing the serum level of 1‐palmitoyl‐2‐palmitoleoyl‐GPC (16:0/16:1), but it is reduced by fruit intake through increasing the serum level of Blautia improved threonate. Besides, aging‐related clinical indexes are also closely correlated with the variation of gut microbes and serum metabolites. In this study, the linkages of geographic locations, diet, the gut microbiome, serum metabolites, and physiological indexes in a Chinese population are characterized. In this study, Holstein dairy cows raised in Ningxia were selected as the research object. Mammary epithelial cells (BMECs) were extracted from the milk of eight Holstein cows with significantly different milk fat expression rates and transcribed for sequencing. Bioinformatics analysis was used to analyse the correlation of fat milk percentage, and the critical miR‐2285f regulating milk fat was screened out. The target gene binding sites were predicted, and 293T cells and mammary epithelial cells were used as miRNA and target gene models for functional verification in vitro. The tissue difference of miR‐2285f Holstein cows was quantitatively analysed by transfecting miR‐2285f mimic and inhibitor. Assay (dual luciferase reporter gene assay) and quantitative real‐time PCR (quantitative real‐time PCR, qRT‐PCR), triglyceride (TAG) detection, oil red O detection of lipid droplets, Western Blot assay, Edu and Flow cytometry, The molecular regulatory effects of miR‐2285f and target gene MAP2K2 on milk fat metabolism of Holstein dairy cows were studied. The wild‐type vector and mutant vector of map2k2‐3′utr were constructed, and double luciferase reporting experiments were conducted to verify that MAP2K2 was one of the target genes of miR‐2285f. According to qRT‐PCR and Western Blot analysis, miR‐2285f mainly regulates the expression of MAP2K2 protein in BMECs at the translation level. Bta‐miR‐2285f can promote cell proliferation and slow cell apoptosis by regulating MAP2K2. Bta‐miR‐2285f can promote triglyceride (TAG) and lipid droplet accumulation in mammary epithelial cells by targeting MAP2K2. Bta‐miR‐2285f can regulate protein levels of fat milk marker gene PPARG by targeting MAP2K2. In conclusion, miR‐2285f can target the expression of the MAP2K2 gene, promote the proliferation of dairy mammary epithelial cells, inhibit cell apoptosis and regulate the milk fat metabolism in dairy mammary epithelial cells. The results of this study revealed the function of miR‐2285f in regulating the differential expression of fat milk in Holstein dairy cows at the cellular level. We used observational data and a long‐term piControl simulation from the Community Earth System Model Version 2 to investigate the influence of the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) on the winter climate over the Tibetan Plateau. The results showed that changes in the phase of the PDO have a significant effect on winter temperatures and precipitation over the southern Tibetan Plateau. Changes in the sea surface temperature (SST) during the positive PDO can weaken the Walker circulation and increase the SST in the Indian Ocean. Our analyses of the moist static energy showed that warming of the tropical troposphere over the Indian Ocean caused by the increased SST has resulted in the horizontal advection of anomalous moist enthalpy by the climatological zonal winds, which was responsible for anomalous ascending motion over the Tibetan Plateau. The additional moisture budget suggests that enhanced vertical motion contributes to the increase in winter precipitation and related total cloud cover over the Tibetan Plateau, leading to the increase of snow depth. The increased total cloud cover and snow depth, in turn, reduces net surface shortwave radiation. The surface air temperature of the Tibetan Plateau is then decreased as a result of the reduction in the net surface shortwave radiation. The PDO therefore has an important modulating role in the interdecadal variability of the winter climate over the Tibetan Plateau. We therefore need to focus on changes in the PDO in research related to the decadal prediction of the climate over the Tibetan Plateau. Drought is an important meteorological event in China and can cause severe damage to both livelihoods and socio‐ecological systems, but current seasonal prediction skill for drought is far from successful. This study used convolutional neural network (CNN) to build an effective seasonal forecast model for the summer consecutive dry days (CDD) over China. The principal components (PC) of the six leading empirical orthogonal function modes of CDD anomaly were predicted by CNN, using the previous winter precipitation, 2‐m temperature and 500 hPa geopotential height as predictors. These predicted PCs were then projected onto the observed spatial patterns to obtain the final predicted summer CDD anomaly over China. In the independent hindcast period of 2007–2018, the interannual variabilities of first six PCs were significantly predicted by CNN. The spatial patterns of CDD were then skillfully predicted with anomaly correlation coefficient skills generally higher than 0.2. The interannual variability of summer CDD over the middle and lower Yangtze River valley, northwestern China and northern China were significant predicted by our CNN model three months in advance. CNN identified that the previous winter precipitation was the important predictor for PC1–PC3, whereas the previous winter 2‐m temperature and 500 hPa geopotential height were important for the prediction of PC4–PC6. This research provides a new and effective method for the seasonal prediction of summer drought. The observed Eurasian winter surface cooling from the 1990s to the early 2010s, which is contrary to global warming, has been extensively studied. Previous studies revealed that the surface cooling trend has significantly weakened in the past decade. Based on large‐ensemble simulations, this study reveals that the weakening of Eurasian surface cooling is primarily driven by the atmospheric internal variability, which coincides with the weakening of Arctic mid‐tropospheric warming and Eurasian mid‐tropospheric cooling. Negative Arctic Oscillation (−AO) and Ural blocking (UB) in combination dominate the intensity of Arctic mid‐tropospheric warming and Eurasian mid‐tropospheric cooling. In the future, there is a possibility that the severe Eurasian cooling trend with comparable magnitude to that during 1990–2013 may reemerge accompanied with Arctic mid‐tropospheric warming, in response to the decadal strengthening of −AO and UB. This may occur before the 2050s, when the atmospheric internal variability is able to overwhelm the effects of greenhouse gases. To investigate the evolution of precipitation over Asian continent in the Holocene and the associated mechanisms, we used a set of simulations of the transient climate evolution over the past 21,000 years (TraCE‐21ka), multimodel results from the Paleoclimate Modeling Intercomparison Project Phase 4 (PMIP4), and proxy records in Asia. The TraCE‐21ka results showed a tripole pattern in suborbital‐scale precipitation trends over the Asian continent during the Holocene, with a trend of increase over southern parts of the monsoon regions and arid Central Asia (ACA), and a trend of decline over northern parts of the monsoon regions and their areas of transition with ACA. This tripole pattern was corroborated by proxy records from multiple regions and multimodel results from the PMIP4. Further analysis based on single‐forcing simulations of TraCE‐21ka indicated that influences from different external forcings were different on the Asian precipitation in the main rainy seasons in the Holocene and that their combined effects shaped the tripole pattern. In summer, orbital forcing, by reducing solar radiation in mid‐to‐high latitudes and weakening the land‐sea thermal contrast, has been the dominant factor in the long‐term evolution of precipitation in the monsoon region and West Asia. In winter and spring, changes in meltwater flux played dominant roles in intensifying local water cycle and horizontal moisture advection, which drove the trend of increase in precipitation in ACA. Additionally, changes in greenhouse gas concentration and continental ice sheet forcings both also contribute to the increase in precipitation in ACA. This study investigated the contribution of Arctic sea ice concentration (SIC) on decadal variations of the dominant mode of summer precipitation over eastern China during 1981–2020. The spatial pattern of leading empirical orthogonal function mode has changed from a dipole pattern with negative anomalies over Jianghuai Valley and positive anomalies over southern China during 1981–2001 to the Yangtze River Valley (YRV) pattern during 2002–2020. Spring SIC over Kara Sea was significantly related to the dipole pattern, through influencing Eurasian snow depth. The associated anomalous temperature gradient and atmospheric circulation affected the meridional displacement of the East Asian subtropical jet, which favored the dipole pattern of summer precipitation. For the YRV pattern, spring SIC over Greenland Sea has an impact on the sea surface temperature anomalies in the western Pacific by triggering a wave train that influenced the precipitation through the establishment of the Pacific–Japan pattern. The results of this study may provide reference value for the prediction of summer precipitation over eastern China. Using the standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index, this article demonstrates that the intensity of interannual variability (IIV) of May drought in Northeast China has enhanced remarkably after entering into the 21st century. Relative to 1980–1999, the percentage increase of IIV reaches 70% during 2000–2016. Such an enhancement is well supported by the intensification of IIVs in the East Asian polar front jet stream (EAPJ), East Asian subtropical jet stream (EASJ), and lower‐level anticyclonic circulation anomaly over Northeast China. Remarkable impact from the Barents Sea ice in April is also highlighted. With respect to the former period, a substantial increase occurs as well in the IIV of April Barents Sea ice during 2000–2016. Due to larger IIV in the latter period, the decline of April Barents Sea ice can exert evident effects on heat fluxes, consequently resulting in a significant increase of surface air temperature (SAT) in situ in May. The increased SAT further induces a wave train propagating southeastward to the East Asian region from the Barents Sea, which leads to a strengthened EAPJ and a weakened EASJ in the upper level, concomitant with an anomalous anticyclonic circulation covering Northeast China in the lower level. These atmospheric circulation anomalies link to the drought variability over Northeast China. Thus, the increase in the IIV of April Barents Sea ice favors the enhanced IIV of May drought in Northeast China. Plain Language Summary: Northeast China serves as an important granary in China. It is demonstrated that ultrafast laser writing in silica glass depends on the grade of silica glass associated with the method of its manufacture. Moreover, laser‐written modifications, in particular birefringent modifications, reveal a dependence on the geometry of writing, that is, the modification strength of voxels is smaller than that of single line structures and multi‐line scanned areas, which can be explained by free carrier diffusion and reduced electric field in scanning writing. The retardance of scanned birefringent region produced in the regime of anisotropic nanopores formation in silica glass manufactured by vapor axial deposition (VAD) is about five times higher than that in an electrically fused sample at the same laser writing parameters, while the difference in retardance of a nanograting based modification in synthetic and fused silica is only about 10%. The phenomenon is interpreted in terms of the higher concentration of oxygen deficient centers in the electrically fused silica glass, which can confine self‐trapped holes and prevent the nanopores formation. We reported AgO@InGaZnO4 as a novel photocatalyst for environmental photocatalysis. X‐ray diffraction, Raman spectrum, fluorescence spectroscopy, fourier infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope, X‐ray photoelectrons spectroscopy, and electrochemical tests were utilized to identify the composition, chemical valence states, morphology, and photocatalytic potential of AgO@InGaZnO4. In the experiments of photo‐reduction Cr(VI) ion and photodegradation Rhodamine B (RhB) reactions, the kinetic constants of AgO@InGaZnO4 samples are 1.7 and 7.1 times of the parent, respectively. The analysis of photocatalytic mechanism indicates that AgO acts as an electron trap to promote photogenerated charge separation and enhance photocatalytic performance. Summary: The impact of the 2022 International Consensus Classification (ICC) of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) needs study. We analysed data from 989 MDS subjects classified using the 2016 World Health Organization (WHO) criteria to determine the impact of the new proposal. Our analyses suggested the ICC criteria of MDS‐SF3B1 identifies a more homogenous disease entity than the WHO 2016 criteria of myelodysplastic syndromes with ring sideroblasts (MDS‐RS). MDS, not otherwise specified with single lineage dysplasia (MDS, NOS‐SLD) patients had a better prognosis than MDS, NOS with multilineage dysplasia (MDS, NOS‐MLD) patients. MDS with mutated TP53 and MDS/acute myeloid leukaemia with mutated TP53 patients had the briefest survivals. Al2O3–ZrO2–C slide plate was ordinarily used in sliding nozzle system because of its excellent mechanical properties and slag corrosion resistance. This study improved the slag corrosion resistance of the slide plate by the carbothermic reduction of TiO2 and aluminothermic reduction of TiO2 under high temperature in coke bed to generate Ti(C,N) phase in situ. The result revealed that TiC of the high melting point phase could enter into anorthite (CaAl2Si2O8) of the low melting point phase, forming eutectic phase CaAl2Si2O8–TiC, and improve the viscosity of the slag. Furthermore, TiC and CaAl2Si2O8 captured FeO and MnO from the slag, resulting in the increase of the slag viscosity, inhibiting the penetration corrosion of the slag, and improving the slag corrosion resistance of the materials. In general, compared with the material without TiO2 powder, the slag corrosion resistance of the material introduced 2 wt.% TiO2 powder was increased by 24%. Air pollution of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is severe in winter and causes vast premature deaths in north China. Many previous studies have concerned winter‐mean haze conditions and identified some useful climate factors. However, obvious differences in the number of haze days also existed between December and January (HDJ‐D) that lacked of understandings. The HDJ‐D maximum was 6.6 days, which occurred between December 2005 and January 2006, accounting for more than 45% of the monthly mean number of haze days in these 2 months. Differences of large‐scale atmospheric circulations were distributed like a Rossby wave pattern in mid‐troposphere, with centres in the west of Europe (+), the north to the Caspian Sea (−) and north China (+). Associated meteorological conditions in north China resulted in more adverse ventilation conditions and stronger chemical productions, and thus larger number of haze days in January than in December. In addition, significant relationships between HDJ‐D and three preceding climate factors during 1979–2018 were also revealed, including August–September–October sea ice over the Laptev Sea and the north of the Kara Sea (correlation coefficient = −0.53), November snow depth in eastern Europe and western Siberia (correlation coefficient = −0.44) and sea surface temperature over the Mid‐Atlantic Ridge (correlation coefficient = −0.48). Abundant analyses, basing on the observation data, large‐ensemble climate simulations and atmospheric chemical simulations, all reproduced the influences of each climate factor on large‐scale atmospheric circulations and local meteorological conditions associated with HDJ‐D changes. Despite significant advances in seasonal climate forecasts, the reliability of both dynamical and empirical models for the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) prediction is still limited to a lead time of one season or less. In this study, the skill of the NCEP Climate Forecast System version 2 (CFSv2) for the IOD prediction during the period 1982–2014 is evaluated. The results indicate that the model performance for the IOD prediction is the worst in spring among the four seasons, which is manifested in the fact that a skilful prediction of spring IOD event is limited to a lead time of only about 1–2 months. To improve the forecast of spring IOD events, a physical‐empirical (PE) model and a convolutional neural network (CNN) model are established in the present study. The IOD in April–May–June (AMJ) is taken as the predictand, and the CFSv2‐predicted sea surface height (SSH) in AMJ and the observed Laptev sea ice in the preceding December are used as the two predictors. The original CFSv2‐predicted IOD time series has an insignificant correlation with the observed IOD time series with a temporal correlation coefficient (TCC) of 0.03; the PE model (CNN model) can largely improve the IOD prediction with a TCC of 0.74 (0.77) between the PE‐model‐predicted (CNN‐model‐predicted) IOD and the observed IOD during AMJ. This study focused on the interdecadal variability in water vapour content (WVC) over East Asia during winter and its associated mechanisms. The interdecadal variation in the WVC over East Asia during winter was investigated using the empirical orthogonal function (EOF) method. The leading mode (EOF1, explained variance is 52.7%) of interdecadal variability in the WVC, which explains most of the interdecadal variation, exhibits a monopole pattern characterized by consistent WVC anomalies over East Asia. The mechanisms associated with the interdecadal variability in winter WVC over East Asia were further investigated, and it was found that the interdecadal variability in winter WVC over East Asia is modulated by three water vapour transport (WVT) branches from the eastern, western, and southern boundaries of East Asia that are associated with Eurasian winter circulation. Further analyses revealed that increased sea ice concentration over the Barents‐Kara Sea (SIC‐BKS) in October–November (ON) serves as the source of wave activity flux and stimulates a stationary wave train along the Eurasian continent to change the downstream atmospheric circulation. As a response, an abnormal cyclone, an abnormal anticyclone, and an abnormal cyclone are triggered over western Siberia, the northern area of East Asia, and the southern area of East Asia, which are together favourable for WVC sufficiency over East Asia. Sensitivity experiments by the Community Atmosphere Model, version 4 (CAM4) using sea ice forcing in the Barents Sea yield similar results to the observed data, further confirming our conclusion. Deciphering the Meiyu behavior during the Last Interglacial (∼127 ka; LIG) may deepen our understanding of drought and flooding events over East Asia in a warmer‐than‐present world induced by Earth's orbit. Based on dynamical downscaling simulations, we suggested a 15‐ and 30‐day earlier onset and retreat of the Meiyu during the LIG relative to preindustrial, respectively, leading to a shortened Meiyu season. Meantime, extreme precipitation in the Meiyu season became stronger and occurred more frequently. Intensified monsoonal circulation, poleward‐located western North Pacific subtropical high, and poleward shift of East Asian westerly jet during the LIG provided favorable moisture conditions for earlier onset and retreat of the Meiyu. The variations of atmospheric circulations were further regulated by the joint effect of the three oceans and diabatic heating over Tibetan Plateau. Our results highlight an important role of Earth's orbit in the Meiyu and imply more flooding events in a warmer world. Employing a model democracy in which each model is equally weighted may lead to a poor estimation of the true uncertainty in climate projections from phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6). The improvement and increase in number of CMIP6 models compared with previous phases of CMIP indicate that both model skill and independence need to be considered to provide convincing projections. In this study, we use a weighting scheme, which weights both the skill and independence of multi‐model simulations, to efficiently constrain the large uncertainty in the projection of the timing of an ice‐free Arctic. The uncertainty‐constrained projections of CMIP6 show that the multi‐model spread of the projected first year of an ice‐free Arctic can be reduced by about 29 years under the Shared Socioeconomic Pathway (SSP)3–7.0 scenario (a regional rivalry scenario), indicating a faster tendency to an ice‐free Arctic summer than projections based solely on model democracy. A fossil‐fuel‐based development scenario (i.e., SSP5‐8.5) leads to an ice‐free Arctic before the 2070s (ranging from 2038 to 2071), while an ice‐free Arctic occurs slightly later (by ∼10 years) under the SSP2‐4.5 scenario (i.e., intermediate scenario) and the SSP3‐7.0 scenario, but is inevitable this century. The sustainable development scenario (i.e., SSP1‐2.6) is likely to prevent the occurrence of an ice‐free Arctic. Internal variability strongly affects the projection estimated by the equally weighted ensemble; however, it has a negligible impact on the results obtained by the weighting scheme, thereby indicating that the results of this study are robust and convincing. However, the outputs of such models carry inherent uncertainties that can affect the confidence in projections. It's acknowledged that surface chemical and pore structure of adsorbent are main parameters to determine adsorption results. Herein, we prepared zeolitic imidazolate frameworks‐8 (ZIF‐8) with different average sizes (50, 120, and 2200 nm) and demonstrated their specific surface area and pore volume decreased with increasing particle size. ZIF‐8 (ZN) exhibits a large specific surface area (1626.4 m2 g−1) and total pore volume (1.088 mL g−1), but it has been shown to lack the non‐specific adsorption capacity for the adsorbate. Carbonization at 800 °C is proved to be an effective method to expose massive surface nitrogen‐containing functional groups and adjust the aperture to an appropriate pore size range for derived porous carbon of ZIF‐8 (ZCN). High nitrogen content (18.7 at. %) greatly improves the affinity for CO2 and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), as explained by the density functional theory (DFT) calculation results. Meanwhile, particle size influences the pore‐forming results after carbonization directly. Among them, ZC50 generates a certain amount of narrow micropore in range of 0.7–1.0 nm, located in the optimal pore size range of CO2 adsorption calculated by Grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) simulation, thus possessing the largest CO2 adsorption capacity (4.03 mmol g−1 at 25 °C). The South Asian high (SAH) experienced a decadal weakening in the late 1970s under global warming. Based on an evaluation of the historical runs from CMIP6 models, we quantitatively assessed the contributions of different external forcing using "good" models that reasonably simulated the decadal decline of the SAH. All‐forcing runs yielded the weakened SAH after the late 1970s, albeit the decadal decline was underestimated by most models. Compared to the insignificant contributions of greenhouse gas and natural forcing, anthropogenic aerosol played a dominant role in the decadal decline of the SAH. The increased aerosol likely drove a cooling surface over the Tibetan Plateau (TP) and East China via its effect on radiation. Consequently, the weakened heat source over the TP and associated thermodynamic effects over East China would have driven a cooling of eddy temperature and cyclonic anomalies in the upper troposphere, respectively, thereby causing the decline of the SAH. Based on statistical analysis using observations and idealized model simulations, previous studies have revealed the potential response of early‐winter atmospheric circulation and temperature anomalies to November Ural blocking (UB) anomalies. Using a large number of coupled simulations, this study found that the response is sensitive to the intensity of November mid‐latitude westerly jet over Eurasia. Stronger‐than‐normal November UB without a significantly weakened westerly jet could not cause significant atmospheric response in early‐winter. By contrast, stronger‐than‐normal November UB with a significantly weakened jet would be followed by a warmer Arctic‐colder Eurasia (WACE) pattern in December. The significantly weakened westerly jet favors stronger upward propagation of planetary waves, which causes stronger weakening and longer persistence of the stratospheric polar vortex. This stratospheric response persists into December and propagates downward into the troposphere interfering with planetary waves (especially wavenumber‐1). The lead‐lag UB‐WACE linkage modulated by mid‐latitude jet may have implications for sub‐seasonal predictability. The relationships between the El Niño‐Southern Oscillation (ENSO), Asian‐Pacific region summer precipitation and its corresponding atmospheric circulations exhibit interdecadal changes. From the early 1990s to the early 2000s, these relationships were significant. Therefore, we divided this time frame into three periods for analysis: 1979–1991 (P1), 1992–2005 (P2), and 2006–2019 (P3). The possible mechanism underlying these relationships is as follows: the southern Indian Ocean sea surface temperature (SST) over the east of Madagascar exhibits interdecadal variation. During P2, the SST was relatively cold, which induced an anomalously high mascarene high (MH). The strengthened MH enhanced the Somali jet and Indian monsoon westerlies, which intensified the strong center of the Indian Ocean Walker circulation. Therefore, owing to the strength and location changes of the Indian Walker circulation and the Walker circulation, the connection between the ENSO and the western Pacific vertical motions strengthened, resulting in the close relationship of the ENSO with the atmospheric circulation over the Asian‐Pacific region. Hence, ENSO can influence a north‐south tripole pattern of precipitation over the Asian‐Pacific monsoon region through local vertical activities and meridional Hadley circulation over western Pacific. Numerical experiments using an atmospheric general circulation model, with prescribed three times southern Indian Ocean SST anomalies of 1995–2005 relative to 1979–2019, also lend support to the southern Indian Ocean SST's contribution to modulating the relationship between ENSO and summer precipitation over the Asian‐Pacific monsoon region. Investigation of the variations of hydrological cycles during the Last Interglacial (130–115 ka; LIG) may deepen our understanding of climate change in a warmer‐than‐present world induced by Earth's orbit. Here we revealed an intensified atmospheric branch of the hydrological cycle over the Tibetan Plateau (TP) in summer during the LIG relative to the preindustrial period, using the mesoscale Weather Research and Forecasting model driven by the Community Earth System Model. Our results showed that precipitation over the TP increased by 5.65 × 107 kg s−1, with 63.2% of the increase contributed by advected moisture transports, and the remaining 36.8% caused by local moisture recycling processes. As for advected moisture transports, the inflow increased by 1.93 × 107 kg s−1 and the outflow decreased by 0.87 × 107 kg s−1, respectively. Variations of the moisture transport were more profound at the eastern and northern edges, which were linked with changes in Indian summer monsoon and westerly jets. Regarding local moisture recycling processes, evaporation enhanced by 2.85 × 107 kg s−1 over the TP, influenced by variations in surface air temperature, surface net radiation flux, surface relative humidity, and surface wind fields. Increased evaporation accompanied by enhanced moisture inflow resulted in an enriched precipitation recycling ratio of ∼1% over the TP during the LIG relative to the preindustrial in summer. Our results aid in understanding the atmospheric branch of the hydrological cycle over the TP in an orbit‐induced warmer world and shed light on the future evolution of the hydrological cycle over the TP at multi‐millennial and orbital timescale. Observations have shown subseasonal reversal of temperature anomalies between early and late winter over Eurasia, which is distinct from the seasonal mean condition. Based on the reanalysis data, the 1800‐year control simulation and the 40‐member ensemble simulations in 1920–2100 from the Community Earth System Model (CESM) Large Ensemble (CESM‐LE), this study reveals that the reversal of surface air temperature (SAT) anomalies between early and late winter is one of the dominant and intrinsic features of the Arctic‐Eurasian winter climate. Such a reversal is characterized by "colder Arctic, warmer Eurasia" in December (January–February) and "warmer Arctic, colder Eurasia" in January–February (December). Robust climate dynamic processes associated with the reversal of SAT anomalies, including subseasonal reversals of anomalies in the Ural blocking, midlatitude westerlies, and stratospheric polar vortex, are found in both reanalysis data and CESM simulations, indicating the important role of internal atmospheric variability. Further analysis reveals that the reversal of Ural blocking anomalies in late December can be a potential precursor for the reversal of SAT anomalies in late winter. The reversal of midlatitude westerly wind anomalies associated with the Ural blocking can affect upward propagation of planetary‐scale waves especially with wavenumber 1, subsequently promoting the contribution of stratospheric polar vortex to the reversal of SAT anomalies in late winter over the Arctic‐Eurasian regions. Such a troposphere‐stratosphere pathway triggered by the perturbation of tropospheric circulations is confirmed by the CESM‐LE simulations, and it may be useful for the prediction of subseasonal reversal of SAT anomalies. Background: Hyaline fibromatosis syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive disorder with ANTXR2 mutations characterised by the accumulation of hyaline substances in tissues. We present a case with the severe form—infantile systemic hyalinosis (ISH)—with long survival and review the literature. Methods and results: Trio‐exome sequencing revealed compound heterozygous mutations, including a novel 4.41 kb deletion on 4q21.21 and the previously reported c.1294C > T mutation, in the ANTXR2 gene. He was diagnosed with ISH and treated symptomatically. After follow‐ups until 4 years of age, his recurrent respiratory infections and diarrhoea improved after one severe diarrhoea attack treated with intravenous gamma globulin. He is now awaiting surgical excision of gingival hypertrophy and joint contractures. Conclusion: The novel gross deletion in ANTXR2 enriches the genetic mutation spectrum of hyaline fibromatosis syndrome. The manifestation of decreased foetal movement, acute‐infection attack or intravenous gamma globulin treatment may be associated with hyaline fibromatosis syndrome. A review of 116 reported cases reveals that missense mutations in the vWA domain are associated with joint symptoms, respiratory tract infection and diarrhoea, while frameshift mutations are associated with facial deformities and speech delays. Background: DKC1, the dyskerin encoding gene, functions in telomerase activity and telomere maintenance. DKC1 mutations cause a multisystem disease, dyskeratosis congenita (DC), which is associated with immunodeficiency and bone marrow failure. Methods: In this research, we reported a novel intronic mutation of DKC1 causing dyskerin functional loss in a Chinese family. Whole exome sequence (WES) of the proband and validation by sanger sequencing help us identify a pathogenic DKC1 mutation. Minigene splicing assays were performed to evaluate functional change of DKC1. Results: A pathogenic DKC1 intronic mutation(c.84 + 7A > G) was identified in the proband, which was inherited from heterozygous mother and not reported before. We detected the novel transcript with a 7 bp intron retention through minigene splicing assay. The newly spliced transcript is so short that would be degraded by nonsense‐mediated mRNA decay in vitro and we infer that the novel DKC1 mutation would influences normal physiological function of dyskerin. Conclusions: Our study identified a novel intronic mutation, which expands the spectrum of pathogenic DKC1 gene mutations and can be used in molecular diagnosis. In the early summer (late June–early July) of 2021, a prolonged and extremely high temperature event was observed in the Northwest United States and Southwest Canada. In this study, a connection was found between the subseasonal variations of the East Asian monsoon system and the anomalous heat dome over western North America (WNA). Around 2–3 pentads prior to the period of maximum heat, a northward‐propagating rain belt and abnormally intensified jet stream in East Asia excited a Rossby wave train, causing the high‐pressure anomaly over WNA that was responsible for the occurrence of this heat wave in 2021. Multivariate singular value decomposition analysis results using historical data and a series of numerical experiments further supported the finding of this East Asia–western North America teleconnection. The results provide precursor signals for better monitoring and predicting heat waves over WNA. Plain Language Summary: A persistent and extremely high temperature event was observed in several states in the Northwest United States and Southwest Canada in summer 2021. This severe heat wave resulted in the hottest early‐summer season in western North America (WNA) since 1979 and huge social and economic losses. Among the statistical downscaling tools available for regional climate simulation, the nonhomogeneous hidden Markov model (NHMM) is a powerful and efficient algorithm. It consists of establishing statistical relations between predictand and predictors through a hidden layer of Markov process and a covariate nonhomogeneous term as external forcing. Here, it is used to simulate summer daily precipitation in the middle and lower reach of the Yangtze River basin (MLYRB), including future projection. Results show that NHMM well identifies large‐scale circulation features that are physically consistent with regional rainfall patterns. MLYRB exhibits a general wetness for 1.5°C and 2°C global warming targets, with smaller (larger) increase for the west (east). Such changes correspond to increases in the occurrence frequency of synoptic weather patterns with stronger and more westward Western Pacific Subtropical High and stronger westerly jet. This contributes to moistening MLYRB with increasing occurrence frequency for those wetter rainfall patterns. The demand for energy efficient data storage technologies with high capacity and long life span is increasingly growing due to the explosion of digital information in modern society. Here, a 5D optical data storage with high capacity and ultralong lifetime is realized by femtosecond‐laser‐induced anisotropic nanopore structures (type X modification) in silica glass. The ultrahigh transmission of this birefringent modification, >99% in the visible range, allows recording and retrieving thousands of layers of multibit digital data practically. Type X formation is associated with moderate free carrier density produced close to the energy threshold of avalanche ionization. Higher retardance with increased repetition rate at low pulse energy is attributed to accumulation of defects (nonbridging oxygen hole centers), enabling rapid imprinting of voxels by megahertz‐rate pulses. Data recording of 7 bits per voxel, i.e., 25 azimuth angles and 22 retardance levels is experimentally demonstrated with readout error as small as 0.6%. Furthermore, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams is optically recorded with a data writing speed of 8 kB s−1 in 100 layers of voxels and the proven data readout accuracy of 100%. A severe persistent drought occurred in South China during autumn–winter 2020/2021, causing enormous economic losses and severe water shortage in South China. Focusing on this event, this study analyzed the climate anomalies associated with this event, and investigated the underlying mechanisms as well as their relationship with the leading modes of the autumn and winter precipitation in eastern China. The results suggest that the drought in South China during autumn 2020 is mainly attributed to the water vapor divergence anomalies induced by an anomalous anticyclone over eastern China and an anomalous cyclone over the South China Sea, which are caused by an anomalous Eurasian atmospheric wave‐train triggered by the negative sea ice anomalies in the Barents Sea‐Kara Sea region and a La Niña‐like condition in the tropical Pacific sea surface temperatures, respectively. The continued drought in South China during winter 2020/2021 is mainly attributed to the water vapor divergence anomalies induced by an anomalous cyclone over the western North Pacific, which is caused by the continued La Niña‐like condition. The mechanisms of the first two leading modes of autumn precipitation in eastern China both contributed to the drought in South China during autumn 2020, whereas the mechanisms of the first leading mode of winter precipitation in eastern China played an important role in causing the drought in South China during winter 2020/2021. Numerical experiments demonstrate important impact of the ENSO and Arctic sea ice anomalies on the East Asian climate anomalies during autumn–winter 2020/2021. This study explored the human influence on the observed changes in precipitation extremes across China for the period of 1961–2014 by the latest simulations from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6). Changes in observations and CMIP6 simulations under different external forcings for annual total wet‐day precipitation (PRCPTOT), the number of heavy precipitation days (R10 mm), very wet days (R95p), extremely wet days (R99p), the maximum 1‐day precipitation amount (RX1day), and the maximum 5‐day precipitation amount (RX5day) are compared using a regularized optimal fingerprinting method. The results show that both anthropogenic (ANT) and greenhouse gas (GHG) experiments generally exhibit increasing trends in precipitation extremes over China, agreeing with the overall observed increases. The ANT influence is robustly detected for R95p, R99p, RX1day, and RX5day over China, with clear separation from the natural forcing. Additionally, the GHG signal is also detectable for R95p, R99p, and RX1day but separated from the natural and other ANT forcings for only R99p and RX1day and from the natural and ANT aerosol forcings for only RX5day. Thus, the intensified precipitation extremes can be attributed to human influence dominated by the GHG effect. However, detections fail for PRCPTOT and R10 mm. The ANT aerosol forcing may partly offset the role of the GHG responses to observed increases despite being undetectable. Based on the detection and attribution results, the observation‐constrained projections indicate that precipitation extremes are projected to significantly increase under the SSP2–4.5 and SSP5–8.5 scenarios but with a smaller magnitude compared to the raw CMIP6 outputs. The observed precipitation extremes generally increase over China during the period of 1961–2014. The changes in human‐induced precipitation extremes are roughly consistent with the observed changes. Based on a detection technique, the human influence can be identified in the changes in the precipitation extremes, which is separable from the role of solar and volcanic activities. The effects of anthropogenic greenhouse gases can also be detected in the observed increases in precipitation extremes over China. Thus, human influence can contribute to intensified precipitation extremes, and greenhouse gas emissions are the dominant contributor. However, precipitation extremes induced by anthropogenic aerosols show decreases across China, and anthropogenic aerosols may make an opposite contribution to the increases in precipitation extremes despite failed detection. The results further show that precipitation extremes over China will significantly increase in the future with a smaller amplitude than those expected from the global climate models in this study. Emerging evidence demonstrates the clinical utility of genomic applications in newborn intensive care unit (NICU) patients with strong indications of Mendelian etiology. However, such applications' diagnostic yield and utility remain unclear for NICU cohorts with minimal phenotype selection. In this study, focused medical exome sequencing was used as a first‐tier, singleton‐focused diagnostic tool for 2303 unrelated sick neonates. Integrated analysis of single nucleotide variants (SNVs), small insertions and deletions (Indels), and large copy number variants (CNVs) was performed. The diagnostic rate in this NICU cohort is 12.3% (284/2303), with 190 probands with molecular diagnoses made from SNV/Indel analyses (66.9%), 93 patients with diagnostic aneuploidy/CNVs findings (32.8%), and 1 patient with both SNV and CNV (0.4%). In addition, 54 (2.3%) of patients had a reportable incidental finding. Multiple organ involvements, craniofacial abnormalities, and dermatologic abnormalities were the strongest positive predictors for a molecular diagnosis. Among the 190 cases with SNV/Indel defects, direct impacts on medical management were observed in 46.8% of patients after the results were reported. In this study, we demonstrate that focused medical exome sequencing is a powerful first‐line diagnostic tool for NICU patients. A comparison assessment of model capabilities in simulating precipitation extremes across China was first implemented by using 30 models from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) and using 36 CMIP6 models. The results indicate that the multi‐model median ensembles (MME) of both the CMIP5 and CMIP6 models can reasonably reproduce the climate means for the period from 1986 to 2005, and the biases are lower in most CMIP6 models compared to the CMIP5 models, especially over southern China. To provide further comparisons, 14 CMIP6 models are selected and compared with their predecessors in CMIP5. The results show that the CMIP6 models generally exhibit superior skill in simulating the extreme precipitation indices over China. The model spreads for most of the extreme indices in the CMIP6 version are also smaller. Additionally, the MMEs of the two CMIPs outperform individual models. However, some CMIP6 models also exhibit weaker skill levels in simulating some particular indices compared with those in CMIP5, which merits further investigation. The results from seven reanalyses further show large uncertainties for these indices; therefore, care should be taken in comparison with reanalyses. For future changes in precipitation extremes, total wet day precipitation (PRCPTOT), maximum 5‐day precipitation (RX5day) and very heavy precipitation days (R20mm) are projected to clearly increase across China over the coming century under the shared socioeconomic pathway (SSP) 2‐4.5 and SSP5‐8.5 scenarios. However, the dry condition index of CDD exhibits a decreasing tendency in the future, which implies that the dry conditions induced by precipitation anomalies will be mitigated. However, large uncertainties are still observed for future changes, which are primarily sourced from inter‐model and scenario variabilities, especially for the projected changes at the end of the 21st century. We propose a novel measure of investment plans, namely expected investment growth (EIG), and find stocks with high EIG outperform stocks with low EIG by 17% per annum. This premium can be generated in a neoclassical model with the investment plan friction, in which a firm's expected returns increases with its planned investment due to an embedded leverage effect. We provide empirical evidence on the interaction of the cash flow effect and discount rate effect in driving this EIG premium. In recent years, genome‐based classifications for hematological neoplasms have been proposed successively and proved to be more accurate than histologic classifications. However, some previous studies have reported the racial differences of genetic landscape in persons with hematological neoplasms including myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), which may cause a genomic classification based on a particular ethnic group does not operate in other races. To determine whether race plays an important role in the genomic‐based classification, we validated a newly proposed genomic classification of MDS (J Clin Oncol.2021; JCO2001659), which was based on a large European database, in Chinese patients from our center. Our results showed significant differences between Chinese and European patients including proportion of each group to overall cohort when applying this novel genomic classification. Rothmund–Thomson syndrome (RTS) is a rare autosomal‐recessive disorder characterized by poikiloderma, short stature, sparse hair, skeletal abnormalities, and cancer predisposition. Mutations in ANAPC1 or RECQL4 have been identified to underlie RTS. Either Sanger sequencing or next‐generation sequencing (NGS) was performed for three Chinese RTS patients. Copy number variants were called by the eXome‐Hidden Markov Model using read‐depth data of NGS, and the putative heterozygous deletion was confirmed by PCR with multiple primers. The breakpoints were identified by Sanger sequencing. All patients presented with characteristic features of poikiloderma, short stature, and sparse hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows. In addition, patient 1 had intellectual disability and speech delay, and patient 2 developed osteosarcoma when she was 13 years old. Biallelic RECQL4 variants were identified in all three patients. Five of the six variants were novel, including c.119‐1G>A, c.2886‐1G>A, c.2290C>T (p.Gln764*), and c.3552dupG (p.Arg1185Glufs*42), and a gross deletion encompassing exons 6 to 10. Summary: The role of minimal residual disease (MRD) in splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL) has not been well studied. We prospectively designed a study to evaluate undetectable MRD (uMRD) by multiparameter flow cytometry as a prognostic factor. Residual disease level of <0·01% was defined as uMRD. A total of 71 newly diagnosed patients with bone marrow involvement were enrolled and all received rituximab‐based therapy. The overall response rate (ORR) was 98·5% (70/71), with a complete remission (CR) rate of 54·9% (39/71). There were a total of 295 MRD detections in bone marrow and 77·4% patients (55/71) had uMRD. The 5‐year progression‐free survival (PFS) [(74·8 ± 6·5)% vs. (31·4 ± 12·6)%, P < 0·001] and 5‐year overall survival (OS) [(87·2 ± 5·6)% vs. (68·9 ± 13·4)%, P = 0·035] were significantly higher in uMRD patients than in MRD‐positive patients. The 5‐year PFS in partial remission (PR) patients with positive MRD was significantly poorer than that of PR patients with uMRD [(21·1 ± 12·9)% vs. (83·3 ± 8·8)%, P = 0·005]. Multivariate prognostic analysis revealed that uMRD was an independent good prognostic factor for PFS (hazard ratio 0·162, 95% confidence interval 0·041–0·635; P = 0·009). Precipitation on the Tibetan Plateau (TP) exert great impacts on the energy, water cycle, and regional ecosystem. But due to the wide differences in climate regimes and complicated topography, TP precipitation is characterized as greater spatial diversity and lower confidence of temporal tendency. Based on the precipitation datasets from in situ observations, reanalysis, and satellites, this study identifies the interdecadal shift of the summer precipitation trends in the southern and northern TP, which corresponds well with the remarkable changes of TP lakes area in recent years. The statistical results indicate that the TP summer precipitation has experienced an interdecadal transition in the late 1990s, with precipitation increasing and then decreasing in the southern TP, and decreasing and then increasing in the northern TP. Further analyses suggest that the changes in moisture budget and convection activities play an important role in the interdecadal variations of precipitation in the northern and southern TP, respectively. More specifically, the variations in the southern TP are contributed largely by the persistent weakening sensible heat source, which can depress the ascending motion and hinder the northward moisture transport in the southern TP. While in the northern TP, both observations and model sensitivity experiments indicate that the co‐effect of the cold interdecadal Pacific oscillation (IPO) and warm Atlantic multidecadal oscillation (AMO) has profound impacts on the decadal shift of the net moisture budget in the northern TP. Specifically, the AMO can impact the Lake Baikal anticyclone through the anomalous wave propagation and then decrease the moisture output in the eastern TP. While the IPO can weaken the climatological westerlies and prompt the moisture to get stuck in the northern TP. Dual‐stator brushless doubly fed generator (DSBDFG) is a novel generator applied for wind power generation, and the electromechanical energy conversion between the stator and rotor is realised by the magnetic field modulation of the special rotor structure. Therefore, the rotor design is critical to improve the performance of DSBDFG. In this study, the different rotor structures are compared and analysed, and the position of the non‐magnetic ring is determined. In order to reduce the computational cost and improve the optimisation efficiency, the surrogate model coupled with the multi‐island geometric algorithm is applied for the optimisation of the magnetic barrier layer of the cage barrier rotor. In addition, in order to reduce the effect of skin effect on the copper loss of cage bars of the rotor, the different simulation models, whose cage bars have different layer number, are simulated and analysed. Finally, the simulation and experimental results verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of surrogate model used for the rotor optimisation design of DSBDFG. Based on the standardized precipitation evaporation index (SPEI) and empirical orthogonal function (EOF) analysis, this article presents that the primary mode (i.e., a monosign pattern) of drought over Northeast China (NEC) in early spring (February‐March‐April, FMA) and late summer (July‐August‐September, JAS) shows an out‐of‐phase decadal change, which is characterized with a wetting polarity in FMA while a drying polarity in JAS approximately after 2000 as compared to the counterparts before that time. Such an out‐of‐phase decadal change is generally supported by the decadal changes in atmospheric circulations. Compared to the former period, during the latter period, the equivalent barotropic cyclonic (anticyclonic) anomalies dominate northeastern Asia and an anomalous ascending occupies NEC in FMA (JAS), which help to alleviate (aggravate) drought over NEC. In addition, decreases in water vapor transport toward the NEC region act in the aggravation of drought in JAS, while the variation of drought in FMA is not closely connected to the change in water vapor transport. Further analyses indicate that the shifts of the sea surface temperature (SST) in the tropical and mid‐high latitude Atlantic Ocean from a cold phase to a warm phase also play a role in the decadal change of drought in FMA and JAS, respectively, through their influences on the above atmospheric circulations with the aid of downstream propagation of wave trains. Hence, the seasonal dependence of the Atlantic SST and atmospheric circulations contributes to the out‐of‐phase decadal change of drought in NEC. To investigate the effects of oxygen‐containing functional groups on the adsorption of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) with different polarity, oxygen‐rich porous carbon materials (OPCs) were synthesized by heat treatment of glucose/potassium oxalate material. The carbon material had a large specific surface area (1697 m2 g−1) and a high oxygen content (18.95 at.%). OPC exhibited high adsorption capacity of toluene (309 mg g−1) and methanol (447 mg g−1). The specific surface area and total pore volume determined the adsorption capacity of toluene and methanol at the high‐pressure range, while the oxygen‐containing groups became the main factor affecting the methanol adsorption at the low‐pressure range due to the hydrogen bond interaction through the density functional theory (DFT) calculations. This study provides an important hint for developing a novel O‐doped adsorbent for the VOCs adsorption applications and analyzing the role of oxygen‐containing groups in the VOCs adsorption under the low‐pressure range. This study explores the spatial–temporal variations in summer extreme precipitation over Southwestern China (SWC). The frequency of summer extreme precipitation (FEP) has exhibited strong interannual variation with slightly strengthened intensity in recent decades. The associated anomalous water vapour transport mainly originates from northern China, the Indian Ocean, the South China Sea and the Northwest Pacific. The high FEP over SWC is generally associated with the strong Eurasian (EU) pattern and the pattern that is similar to Pacific‐Japan (PJ) teleconnection. The results further indicate that the anomalous May Arctic sea ice concentration and the sea surface temperature anomaly over the Northwest Pacific play an important role in the variation of FEP over SWC. On the one hand, the reduction in Arctic sea ice concentration intensifies Rossby wave propagation and then stimulates the formation of EU teleconnection pattern. The associated anomalous northeasterly integrated water vapour transport and high‐level westerly anomalies can result in strong interannual changes in FEP over SWC. On the other hand, the sea surface temperature anomaly over the Northwest Pacific can induce an anomalous PJ‐like pattern, and the associated anomalous southwesterly water vapour transport also exerts an impact on the change in FEP over SWC. This study investigates the interannual variability of winter precipitation over the Three River Source (TRS) region in China based on precipitation observations collected at stations in the TRS region and reanalysis datasets for the period of 1980–2015. The results suggest that the TRS winter precipitation has distinct interannual variability with discordant trends in different months, that is, an increasing trend is found in November and February, a decreasing trend is found in other winter months, and interannual variations in precipitation are different in different months. The mechanisms for the interannual variation in monthly precipitation over the TRS region are significantly different in different winter months. The interannual variability of TRS precipitation in November is modulated by an anomalous westerly water vapour transport (WVT) branch. This anomalous WVT branch is related to a North Atlantic‐Europe‐Tibetan Plateau (NA‐E‐TP) wave‐train that originates in the North Atlantic due to the ocean–atmosphere interaction. In December, a circum‐global teleconnection (CGT) wave‐train can induce anomalous westerly WVT in the TRS region, resulting in increased precipitation there. This CGT wave‐train is triggered by warm SST anomalies in the central‐eastern tropical Pacific associated with the El Niño‐Southern Oscillation (ENSO). The interannual variability of TRS precipitation in January and February is affected by southwesterly WVT anomalies over the TRS region, which are associated with a southeastward propagating wave‐train over Eurasia caused by the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO). In March, the interannual variability of TRS precipitation is modulated by the leading mode of the Eurasian circulation that resembles the Scandinavian (EU1) pattern, which can cause anomalous southwesterly WVT in the TRS region. In winter, the characteristics of sea surface temperature anomalies, weather systems, and atmospheric circulations associated with interannual variations of monthly precipitation in the TRS region are different for individual winter months.
