Herein, a novel molecular SO2‐Bri‐DSB based on the sulfone‐bridged distyrylbenzene derivative is synthesized, and its organic crystal is fabricated. It has a very high photoluminescence (PL) quantum efficiency in the solution and crystalline state, i.e., dual‐state emission (DSE), and the corresponding PL mechanism is clarified in detail using the transient absorption and transient PL test. The PL behaviors in the monomolecular state and organic crystal are compared. In addition, the optical anisotropy of the SO2‐Bri‐DSB crystal is thoroughly investigated using various polarization‐dependent spectroscopy techniques. The time evolution of anisotropy is composed of a step behavior caused by the anisotropy of the electronic transition and a slow enhancing process with a lifetime of 4.86 ns, which is governed by the change in emission lifetime due to the anisotropy. The space‐resolved evolution of the optical anisotropy is investigated using the polarization‐dependent light wave‐guiding test and exhibits that the emission anisotropy gradually decreases with length, and it has a longer effective propagation length than the polarization emission signal. The findings provide insight into the intrinsic optical anisotropy of single‐molecular crystals and indicate that these materials have enormous potential in the domains of polarization lighting and display. Wound infection is arguably the most common, and potentially the most devastating, complication of the wound healing process. The ideal treatment strategy has to eliminate bacteria, alleviate inflammation, and promote wound healing and skin formation. Herein, a multifunctional heterostructure is designed consisting of ultrasmall platinum–ruthenium nanoalloys and porous graphitic carbon nitride C3N5 nanosheets (denoted as PtRu/C3N5), which concurrently possesses piezoelectric enhanced oxidase ‐mimic nanozyme activity and photocatalytic hydrogen gas production capacity. Moreover, these hybrid nanotherapeutics are integrated in natural hyaluronic acid microneedles, which exhibit almost 100% broad‐spectrum antibacterial efficacy against multiple bacterial strains in vitro and in vivo within 10 min ultrasound treatment, and effectively inhibit inflammation reactions after 1 h visible light irradiation, promising for accelerating the cutaneous wound healing in the bacterial infected mice. Plasmon stimulation represents an appealing way to modulate enzyme mimic functions, but utilization efficiency of plasmon excitation remains relatively low. To overcome this drawback, a heterojunction composite based on graphdiyne nanowalls wrapped hollow copper sulfide nanocubes (CuS@GDY) with strong localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) response in the near‐infrared (NIR) region is developed. This nanozyme can concurrently harvest LSPR induced hot carriers and produce photothermal effects, resulting in dramatically increased peroxidase‐like activity when exposed to 808 nm light. Both experimental results and theoretical calculations show that the remarkable catalytic performance of CuS@GDY is due to the unique hierarchical structure, narrow bandgap of GDY nanowalls, LSPR effect of CuS nanocages, fast interfacial electron transfer dynamics, and carbon vacancies on CuS@GDY. This plasmonic nanozyme exhibits rapid, efficient, broad‐spectrum antibacterial activity (>99.999%) against diverse pathogens (methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli). This study not only sheds light on the mechanism of the nanozyme‐/photocatalysis coupling process, but also opens up a new avenue for engineering plasmonic NIR light driven nanozymes for rapid synergistic photothermal and photo‐enhanced nanozyme therapy. MnSiO3 nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared by precipitation method, their structure and composition were characterised by transmission electron microscopy, electron diffraction spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Due to the oxidase‐like enzyme activity of MnSiO3, it can catalyse the substrate 3,3′,5,5′‐tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) in acidic environment to form an oxidised TMB which has an absorption peak at 652 nm in the absence of hydrogen peroxide. When Fe2+ was added to the assay, the oxidase‐like activity of MnSiO3 was inhibited, and the intensity of the absorption at 652 nm was reduced. Based on the high oxidase‐like activity, a colorimetric method for Fe2+ detection was established, it showed high selectivity and sensitivity. In the optimised conditions, the limit of detection was 0.5 μM with a linear range from 3 to 63 μM. Moreover, the method was applied to determine Fe2+ in spiked water samples which gave satisfactory recoveries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PdFe ultrathin nanosheets (NSs) were prepared by one‐step hydrothermal route. PdFe NSs showed superior catalytic activity towards the oxidation of nitrite due to the large surface area of 2 dimensional (2D) nanostructure and the synergetic effect between Pd and Fe. A sensitive and selective electrochemical nitrite sensing platform was designed base on PdFe NSs and the amperometric technique. The limit of detection (LOD) was found to be 0.12 μM (S/N=3), with a linear relationship between nitrite concentration and response current in the range of 1–160 μM. In recent years, metal halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have been favored by many researchers due to their unique properties including long carrier diffusion length, high carrier mobility, tunable emission wavelength, and narrow full width at half maximum, making them great application potentials in optoelectronic devices. The photoluminescence quantum yields of perovskite NCs are nearly 100%, and the device efficiency of perovskite NC‐based light‐emitting diodes (LEDs) has been improved significantly from below 0.1% to over 20%. In addition, perovskite NC‐based solar cells and photodetectors have also developed rapidly in recent years. Here, we summarize the synthesis and the basic optoelectronic properties of metal halide perovskite NCs and introduce their applications in LEDs, solar cells, and photodetectors. The photoluminescence (PL) characteristics of semiconductor CdSe quantum dots (QDs) aggregated on Cu nanowires (NWs) were studied in detail. The PL relaxation dynamic data show that Cu NWs improve the PL intensity of CdSe QDs by accelerating the emission relaxation rate. The temperature-dependent PL data and excitation intensity-dependent PL data suggest that the activation energy of CdSe QDs might decrease due to the excellent heat transfer properties and the plasmon effect of Cu NWs. The photoluminescence (PL) characteristics of CdSe quantum dots (QDs) infiltrated into inverse opal SiO2 photonic crystals (PCs) are systemically studied. The special porous structure of inverse opal PCs enhanced the thermal exchange rate between the CdSe QDs and their surrounding environment. Finally, inverse opal SiO2 PCs suppressed the nonlinear PL enhancement of CdSe QDs in PCs excited by a continuum laser and effectively modulated the PL characteristics of CdSe QDs in PCs at high temperatures in comparison with that of CdSe QDs out of PCs. The phytohormone abscisic acid (ABA) plays crucial roles in plant development and plant responses to environmental stresses. Although ABA receptors and a minimal set of core molecular components have recently been discovered, understanding of the ABA signaling pathway is still far from complete. In this work, we characterized the function of ROP11, a member of the plant-specific ROP small GTPases family, in the ABA signaling process. ROP11 is preferentially expressed in guard cells in all plant organs with stomata. Expression of a constitutively active ROP11 (CA-ROP11) suppresses ABA-mediated responses, whereas reduced expression of ROP11 or expression of its dominant-negative form (DN-ROP11) causes the opposite phenotypes. The affected ABA-mediated responses by ROP11 include seed germination, seedling growth, stomatal closure, induction of ABA-responsive genes, as well as plant response to drought stress. Furthermore, we showed that ROP11 and its closest-related family member, ROP10, act in parallel in mediating these responses. ABA treatment does not affect ROP11 transcription and protein abundance; however, it causes the accumulation of CA-ROP11 in the nucleus. These results demonstrated that ROP11 is a negative regulator of multiple ABA responses in Arabidopsis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
