ABSTRACT Aim Methods Results Conclusions Repetitive negative thinking (RNT) as a cognitive process in multiple mental disorders is a key risk factor for mental disorders. It is associated with the development and maintenance of the illness. The perseverative thinking questionnaire (PTQ) is an instrument to evaluate RNT with excellent reliability and validity. Nevertheless, a Chinese version of the perseverative thinking questionnaire (C‐PTQ) is lack of validation in Chinese college students. The study aimed to establish a C‐PTQ, explore its psychometric properties in college students.After translating PTQ into Chinese, we investigated 696 college students. We conducted exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to examine the psychometric properties and factor structures of the C‐PTQ. Content validity was assessed using the content validity index and internal consistency was assessed using the Cronbach's α and McDonald's Omega ω. Multi‐variable linear regressions explored the relationships between variables. We used receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves to determine the ability of C‐PTQ in identifying depression and anxiety.The EFA showed a one‐factor structure, which explained 52.227% of the total variance. The CFA showed that both one‐factor structure in this research and three‐factor structure of original demonstrated eligible model fits. The content validity index of 0.93. Results demonstrated good internal consistency (Cronbach's α = 0.934, McDonald's Omega ω = 0.934) and convergent validity. The PTQ is a useful tool in identifying depression (sensitivity = 85.5%, specificity = 64.6%) and anxiety (sensitivity = 84.6%, specificity = 68.5%).The C‐PTQ has good psychometric properties, which is valid and reliable for assessing RNT in Chinese college students. Objectives: To search for pathogenic gene of a family with non‐syndromic tooth agenesis, and explore the possible pathogenesis. Materials and Methods: A Chinese family with non‐syndromic tooth agenesis was recruited and screened for the pathogenic variants by whole exome sequencing technology and co‐segregation analysis. The subcellular localization of wild‐type and mutant protein was detected by immunofluorescence assay. Cycloheximide chase assay was performed to examine the difference in degradation rate between mutant protein and wild‐type one. Dual‐luciferase reporter assays were conducted to explore the alterations of mutant protein in the regulation of downstream target genes. Results: A novel missense variant of PAX9 (c.296C>A:p.A99D) was found in this family. Bioinformatics software showed β‐return and the random coil were shortened in the p.A99D. The variant did not affect the subcellular localization of PAX9, but the degradation rate of p.A99D was accelerated (p < 0.05). p.A99D inhibited the activation of downstream target gene BMP4 (p < 0.05). Conclusions: This novel variant expands the pathogenic gene spectrum. The variant impaired the protein structure, accelerated the degradation of protein, and inhibited the activation of the downstream target gene BMP4, an upstream molecule in the TGF‐β/BMP pathway, which may contribute to tooth agenesis in this family. To date, SARS‐CoV‐2 has caused millions of deaths, but the choice of treatment is limited. We previously established a platform for identifying Food and Drug Administration (FDA)‐approved repurposed drugs for avian influenza A virus infections that could be used for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) treatment. In this study, we analyzed blood samples from two cohorts of 63 COVID‐19 patients, including 19 patients with severe disease. Among the 39 FDA‐approved drugs we identified for COVID‐19 therapy in both cohorts, 23 drugs were confirmed by literature mining data, including 14 drugs already under COVID‐19 clinical trials and 9 drugs reported for COVID‐19 treatments, suggesting the remaining 16 FDA‐approved drugs may be candidates for COVID‐19 therapy. Additionally, we previously reported that herbal small RNAs (sRNAs) could be effective components in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for treating COVID‐19. Based on the abundance of sRNAs, we screened the 245 TCMs in the Bencao (herbal) sRNA Atlas that we had previously established, and we found that the top 12 TCMs for COVID‐19 treatment was consistent across both cohorts. We validated the efficiency of the top 30 sRNAs from each of the top 3 TCMs for COVID‐19 treatment in poly(I:C)‐stimulated human non‐small cell lung cancer cells (A549 cells). In conclusion, our study recommends potential COVID‐19 remedies using FDA‐approved repurposed drugs and herbal sRNAs from TCMs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

It is a vitally important and challenging task to achieve high efficiency and wide color‐tunable white organic light emitting diodes (CT‐WOLEDs) meeting the needs of various decoration and lighting applications. Here, a high‐performance single‐cell all‐fluorescent CT‐WOLED with a single‐doped single‐emissive‐layer structure has been developed employing a multi‐functional hybrid local and charge transfer (HLCT) fluorophore 2‐(4‐(9H‐carbazol‐9‐yl)−2′,5′‐difluoro‐[1,1′:4′,1′'‐terphenyl]−4‐yl)−1‐phenyl‐1H‐phenanthro[9,10‐d]imidazole (PICZ2F) as a deep‐blue emitter as well as an effective host for a yellow thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitter. The record‐breaking power efficiency of 89.50 lm W‒1 and correlated color temperature (CCT) span from 3749 to 18 279 K are achieved simultaneously, which is not only one of the state‐of‐the‐art CT‐WOLEDs reported so far, but also comparable to the best values from all‐fluorescent white devices with a single‐emissive‐layer. Moreover, by using PICZ2F as an emitter, an external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 7.10% with the Commission Internationale de lEclairage (CIE) coordinates of (0.155, 0.068) is achieved in the doped device, and a low‐efficiency roll‐off even at a high luminance of 15 000 cd m−2 (EQE15000: 5.80%) is achieved in the non‐doped device. Temozolomide (TMZ) represents the cornerstone of therapy for glioblastoma (GBM). However, acquisition of resistance limits its therapeutic potential. The human kinome is an undisputable source of druggable targets, still, current knowledge remains confined to a limited fraction of it, with a multitude of under‐investigated proteins yet to be characterized. Here, following a kinome‐wide RNAi screen, pantothenate kinase 4 (PANK4) isuncovered as a modulator of TMZ resistance in GBM. Validation of PANK4 across various TMZ‐resistant GBM cell models, patient‐derived GBM cell lines, tissue samples, as well as in vivo studies, corroborates the potential translational significance of these findings. Moreover, PANK4 expression is induced during TMZ treatment, and its expression is associated with a worse clinical outcome. Furthermore, a Tandem Mass Tag (TMT)‐based quantitative proteomic approach, reveals that PANK4 abrogation leads to a significant downregulation of a host of proteins with central roles in cellular detoxification and cellular response to oxidative stress. More specifically, as cells undergo genotoxic stress during TMZ exposure, PANK4 depletion represents a crucial event that can lead to accumulation of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) and subsequent cell death. Previously, the MS‐CASPT2 method was performed to study the static and qualitative photophysics of tellurium‐substituted cytosine (TeC). To get quantitative information, we used our recently developed QTMF‐FSSH dynamics method to simulate the excited‐state decay of TeC. The CASSCF method was adopted to reduce the calculation costs, which was confirmed to provide reliable structures and energies as those of MS‐CASPT2. A detailed structural analysis showed that only 5% trajectories will hop to the lower triplet or singlet state via the twisted (S2/S1/T2)T intersection, while 67% trajectories will choose the planar intersections of (S2/S1/T3/T2/T1)P and (S2/S1/T2/T1)P but subsequently become twisted in other electronic states. By contrast, ~28% trajectories will maintain in a plane throughout dynamics. Electronic population revealed that the S2 population will ultrafast transfer to the lower triplet or singlet state. Later, the TeC system will populate in the spin‐mixed electronic states composed of S1, T1 and T2. At the end of 300 fs, most trajectories (~74%) will decay to the ground state and only 17.4% will survive in the triplet states. Our dynamics simulation verified that tellurium substitution will enhance the intersystem crossings, but the very short triplet lifetime (ca. 125 fs) will make TeC a less effective photosensitizer. Diarylethene molecular photoswitches hold great fascination as optical information materials due to their unique bistability and exceptional reversible photoswitching properties. Conventional diarylethenes, however, rely on UV light for ring‐closure reactions, typically with modest yields. For practical application, diarylethenes driven by visible lights are preferred but achieving high ring‐closure reaction yield remains a significant challenge. Herein, we synthesized a novel all‐visible‐light‐driven photoswitch, TPAP−DTE, by facilely endcapping the dithienylethene (DTE) core with triphenylamine phenyl (TPAP) groups. Owing to the electron‐donating conjugation effect of TPAP, the open‐form TPAP−DTE responds strongly to short‐wavelength visible lights with considerable photocyclization quantum yields and molar absorption coefficient. Upon 405 nm visible‐light irradiation, TPAP−DTE achieves a ring‐closure reaction yield exceeding 96.3 % (confirmed by both nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and high‐performance liquid chromatography). Its ring‐opening reaction yield is 100 % upon irradiation with long‐wavelength visible light. TPAP−DTE could be regarded as a bidirectional "quasi"‐quantitative conversion molecular switch. Furthermore, TPAP−DTE exhibits robust fatigue resistance over 100 full photoswitching cycles and great anti‐aging property under 85 °C and 85 % humidity for at least 1000 h. Consequently, its rewritable QR‐code, multilevel data storage, and anti‐counterfeiting/encryption applications are successfully demonstrated exclusively using visible lights, positioning TPAP−DTE as a highly promising medium for information recording. Photocatalytic CO2 reduction is one of the best solutions to solve the global energy crisis and to realize carbon neutralization. The tetradentate phosphine‐bipyridine (bpy)‐phosphine (PNNP)‐type Ir(III) photocatalyst, Mes‐IrPCY2, was reported with a high HCOOH selectivity but the photocatalytic mechanism remains elusive. Herein, we employ electronic structure methods in combination with radiative, nonradiative, and electron transfer rate calculations, to explore the entire photocatalytic cycle to either HCOOH or CO, based on which a new mechanistic scenario is proposed. The catalytic reduction reaction starts from the generation of the precursor metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (3MLCT) state. Subsequently, the divergence happens from the 3MLCT state, the single electron transfer (SET) and deprotonation process lead to the formation of one‐electron‐reduced species and Ir(I) species, which initiate the reduction reaction to HCOOH and CO, respectively. Interestingly, the efficient occurrence of proton or electron transfer reduces barriers of critical steps. In addition, nonadiabatic transitions play a nonnegligible role in the cycle. We suggest a lower free‐energy barrier in the reaction‐limiting step and the very efficient SET in 3MLCT are cooperatively responsible for a high HCOOH selectivity. The gained mechanistic insights could help chemists to understand, regulate, and design photocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction of similar function‐integrated molecular photocatalyst. The irreconcilable contradiction between wide bandgap and charge carriers injection/transport in deep‐blue organic electroluminescence materials is one of the largest bottlenecks restricting the development of organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). Here, a multifunctional deep‐blue hybridized local and charge‐transfer material containing a phenanthroimidazole‐dibenzothiophene derivative that can act as an emitter as well as a host for phosphorescent OLEDs is reported. Owing to its high and balanced bipolar‐transporting ability, remarkable fluorescence efficiency, and suitable triplet energy level, the deep‐blue device with it as a neat emitter provides an external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 6.68%, while yellow and red phosphorescent OLEDs offer the EQEs of 25.35% and 22.19%, respectively. All of them exhibit low‐efficiency roll‐off characteristics. What's more amazing is that the fluorescent/phosphorescent hybrid white OLEDs achieve high power efficiencies and EQEs over 95.9 lm W−1 and 26.8%, and the values are still higher than 77.7 lm W−1 and 25.6% at the high luminance of 1000 cd m−2. Traditional donor‐acceptor type organic luminescent materials usually suffer from unfavorable spectral broadening and fluorescence quenching problems arising from strong inter/intra‐chromophore interactions in aggregation state. Here, two ultraviolet carbazole‐pyrimidine isomers (named o‐DCz‐Pm and m‐DCz‐Pm) with novel aggregation‐induced narrowband phenomenon are constructed and systematic investigated by experiments and theoretical simulations. Benefitting from strengthened steric hindrance and multiple noncovalent interactions, the nonradiative decay, vibrational motion, and structural relaxation of singlet state can be effectively suppressed in aggregation state. Consequently, the electroluminescence peak of 397 nm, full width at half maximum of 21 nm and external quantum efficiency of 3.4% are achieved simultaneously in nondoped o‐DCz‐Pm‐based device. Spatiotemporal traffic data usually suffers from missing entries in the data acquisition and transmission process. Existing imputation methods only consider the global/local structure of spatiotemporal traffic data, resulting in insufficient estimation performance. Fortunately, it is found that traffic data admits the nonlocal self‐similarity (NSS) prior. This paper incorporates the global and nonlocal low‐rank priors of traffic data and proposes a tensor completion model for spatiotemporal traffic data imputation. To be specific, the proposed method uses tensor ring (TR) decomposition with an enhanced representation capability to characterize the global low‐TR‐rank prior of traffic data, e.g. the correlation of sensor and time modes of the tensor (i.e. traffic data). An implicit plug‐and‐play (PnP)‐based regularization is further utilized to exploit the NSS prior, which depicts the nonlocal similar traffic data patterns. Furthermore, the proximal alternating minimization algorithm under the PnP framework is derived to solve this model. Podocyte loss is a predictor of kidney disease development, including diabetic nephropathy. Astragalus polysaccharide (APS) was considered a renoprotective drug, whereas the mechanisms operated by APS on podocyte dysfunction are rarely mentioned. This study aims at the mechanistic underlying of APS on angiotensin II (Ang II)‐induced podocyte dysfunction. Mouse glomerular podocytes MPC5 were induced with Ang II, the morphologic changes were observed and nephrin, desmin and Wilms' tumour protein‐1 (WT‐1) levels were determined. The MPC5 cells were treated with APS (50, 100 and 200 μg/mL) and transduced with retinoic acid receptor responder protein 1 (RARRES1) overexpression vectors. The expression of RARRES1, lipocalin‐2 (LCN2), nephrin and desmin was tested, MPC5 cell viability and apoptosis were evaluated, and the levels of an endocytotic receptor megalin, Bcl‐2, Bax, interleukin (IL)‐6, IL‐1β and tumour necrosis factor (TNF)‐α were assessed. The binding of RARRES1 to LCN2 was predicted and verified. Mice were infused with Ang II to evaluate histopathological alterations and 24‐h urinary albumin content. Ang II induction suppressed MPC5 cell viability, reduced the expression of nephrin, WT‐1, megalin and Bcl‐2, and augmented the expression of desmin, Bax, IL‐6, IL‐1β and TNF‐α, which were significantly nullified by APS treatment. RARRES1 interacted with LCN2, and APS treatment inhibited RARRES1 and LCN2 expression in a dose‐dependent manner, thereby alleviating Ang II‐induced podocyte dysfunction. Ang II infusion in mice facilitated pathological alterations in renal tissues and increased urinary albumin content, which were attenuated after APS treatment. Overall, APS treatment alleviated Ang II‐induced podocyte dysfunction by inhibiting RARRES1/LCN2 expression and blocked kidney injury development in vivo. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We describe an aromatic amide skeleton for manipulation of triplet excited states toward bright long‐lived blue phosphorescence. Spectroscopic studies and theoretical calculations demonstrated that the aromatic amides can promote strong spin‐orbit coupling between (π,π*) and the bridged (n,π*) states, and enable multiple channels to populate the emissive 3(π,π*), as well as facilitate robust hydrogen bonding with polyvinyl alcohol to suppress non‐radiative relaxations. Isolated inherent deep‐blue (0.155, 0.056) to sky‐blue (0.175, 0.232) phosphorescence with high quantum yields (up to 34.7 %) in confined films are achieved. The blue afterglow of the films can last for several seconds and are showcased in information display, anti‐counterfeiting, and white light afterglow. Owing to the high population of 3(π,π*) states, the smart aromatic amide skeleton provides an important molecular design prototype to manipulate triplet excited states for ultralong phosphorescence with various colors. Two‐coordinate Carbene−Metal−Amide (CMA) complexes with thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) have attracted much attention owing to their excellent luminescence properties and potential applications in organic light‐emitting devices. However, the luminescence mechanism remains unclear. Herein, we took one CMA Au(I) complex as an example and investigate its relevant photophysics using both density functional theory (DFT) and time‐dependent DFT methods with a polarizable continuum model. The calculated absorption and emission spectra agree with the experimental data and the S1 and T1 states show mixed ligand to ligand charge transfer (CT) and ligand to metal CT characters. Small spatial overlap between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) minimizes the energy difference between the S1 and T1 states (ΔEST). Properly large spin‐orbit coupling promotes the reverse intersystem crossing (rISC) process. Purpose: Pyroptosis, a type of programmed cell death, is implicated in the tumorigenesis, development and migration of cancer, which can be regulated by long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs). Our research aimed to investigate the prognostic role of pyroptosis‐related lncRNAs and the relationship to the tumor immune microenvironment through bioinformatics analysis. Methods: The clinical and RNA‐sequencing data of bladder cancer patients were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). And 412 bladder cancer subjects with clinical information were divided into training and testing cohort. And 52 reported pyroptosis‐related genes were used to screen pyroptosis‐related lncRNAs. A pyroptosis‐related lncRNA signature was constructed based on Cox regression analyses. Results: A 9‐pyroptosis‐related‐lncRNA signature was identified to separate patients with bladder cancer into two groups. The prognosis of bladder cancer patients in the high‐risk group was significantly inferior compared with those in the low‐risk group. Risk scores were validated to develop an independent prognostic indicator based on multivariate Cox regression analysis. Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis examined the signature on overall survival. The area under time‐dependent ROC curve (AUC) at 1‐, 3, and 5‐years measured 0.747, 0.783, and 0.768, respectively. Analysis of the immune landscape and PD‐L1 expression showed that PD‐L1 is upregulated in the high‐risk group. The immunocyte subtypes of the two groups were different. Conclusion: A novel pyroptosis‐related lncRNA signature was identified with prognostic value for bladder cancer patients. A dinuclear Pt(II) compound was reported to exhibit thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF); however, the luminescence mechanism remains elusive. To reveal relevant excited‐state properties and luminescence mechanism of this Pt(II) compound, both density function theory (DFT) and time‐dependent DFT (TD‐DFT) calculations were carried out in this work. In terms of the results, the S1 and T2 states show mixed intraligand charge transfer (ILCT)/metal‐to‐ligand CT (MLCT) characters while the T1 state exhibits mixed ILCT/ligand‐to‐metal CT (LMCT) characters. Mechanistically, a four‐state (S0, S1, T1, and T2) model is proposed to rationalize the TADF behavior. The reverse intersystem crossing (rISC) process from the initial T1 to final S1 states involves two up‐conversion channels (direct T1→S1 and T2‐mediated T1→T2→S1 pathways) and both play crucial roles in TADF. At 300 K, these two channels are much faster than the T1 phosphorescence emission enabling TADF. However, at 80 K, these rISC rates are reduced by several orders of magnitude and become very small, which blocks the TADF emission; instead, only the phosphorescence is observed. In medicine, the count of different types of white blood cells can be used as the basis for diagnosing certain diseases or evaluating the treatment effects of diseases. The recognition and counting of white blood cells have important clinical significance. But the effect of recognition based on machine learning is affected by the size of the training set. At present, researchers mainly rely on image rotation and cropping to expand the dataset. These methods either add features to the white blood cell image or require manual intervention and are inefficient. In this paper, a method for expanding the training set of white blood cell images is proposed. After rotating the image at any angle, Canny is used to extract the edge of the black area caused by the rotation and then fill the black area to achieve the purpose of expanding the training set. The experimental results show that after using the method proposed in this paper to expand the training set to train the three models of ResNet, MobileNet, and ShuffleNet, and comparing the original dataset and the method trained by the simple rotated image expanded dataset, the recognition accuracy of the three models is obviously improved without manual intervention. Dendrimers are appealing scaffolds for creating carbohydrate mimics with unique multivalent cooperativity. We report here novel bola‐amphiphilic glycodendrimers bearing mannose and glucose terminals, and a hydrophobic thioacetal core responsive to reactive oxygen species. The peculiar bola‐amphiphilic feature enabled stronger binding to lectin compared to conventional amphiphiles. In addition, these dendrimers are able to target mannose receptors and glucose transporters expressed at the surface of cells, thus allowing effective and specific cellular uptake. G protein‐coupled receptors (GPCRs) are the most common and important drug targets. However, >70% of GPCRs are undruggable or difficult to target using conventional chemical agonists/antagonists. Small nucleic acid molecules, which can sequence‐specifically modulate any gene, offer a unique opportunity to effectively expand drug targets, especially those that are undruggable or difficult to address, such as GPCRs. Here, the authors report for the first time that small activating RNAs (saRNAs) effectively modulate a GPCR for cancer treatment. Specifically, saRNAs promoting the expression of Mas receptor (MAS1), a GPCR that counteracts the classical angiotensin II pathway in cancer cell proliferation and migration, are identified. These saRNAs, delivered by an amphiphilic dendrimer vector, enhance MAS1 expression, counteracting the angiotensin II/angiotensin II Receptor Type 1 axis, and leading to significant suppression of tumorigenesis and the inhibition of tumor progression of multiple cancers in tumor‐xenografted mouse models and patient‐derived tumor models. Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the nasal mucosa. M2 macrophage polarization can reduce inflammation and repair tissue injury during AR development. Studies have substantiated the involvement of miRNAs in AR pathogenesis. Herein, the molecular mechanism of miR‐214‐3p in AR development was explored. To mimic the AR environment, ovalbumin (OVA) was used to treat macrophages. MiR‐214‐3p and glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3B) expression in nasal mucus tissues and macrophages was assessed by RT‐qPCR. The M2 phenotypic signature of CD206 in macrophages was assessed by flow cytometry. The protein expression of GSK3B and M2 macrophage markers (ARG‐1 and IL‐10) was evaluated by western blotting. The correlation between miR‐214‐3p and GSK3B was validated by a luciferase reporter assay. We found that miR‐214‐3p was overexpressed in macrophages and nasal mucus tissues from AR patients. MiR‐214‐3p facilitated M2 polarization of macrophages upon OVA stimulation. Mechanistically, miR‐214‐3p targeted the GSK3B 3′ untranslated region in macrophages. High‐performance deep‐blue fluorescent materials matching the required Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage y coordinate value (CIEy) of < 0.08 are much‐needed in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) for realizing the perfect application of full‐color displays. However, deep‐blue fluorophors commonly show unsatisfactory performance due to the intrinsic large bandgap characteristic. Here, the deep‐blue nondoped OLED with the good CIE coordinates of (0.15, 0.07) and external quantum efficiency (EQE) of ≈9% is achieved based on a multifunctional and efficient anthracene‐based fluorophor (2M‐ph‐3CzAnBzt). Using it as a host, the sky‐blue fluorescent OLED realizes the maximum EQE of 9.50%, and keeps as high as 9.27% and 8.56% at 1000 and 5000 cd m−2. More surprisingly, high‐performance hybrid white OLEDs (WOLEDs) with good color stability and low roll‐off are achieved by using it as the blue emitter. Two‐color WOLED shows the forward‐viewing efficiencies of 20.46%, and 76.80 lm W−1. The three‐color WOLED emitting a candlelight with the color rendering index of ≥ 82 realizes the maximum EQE of 21.49% and remains 20.80% at 1000 cd m−2. Employee counterproductive work behavior (ECWB) in the workplace has caused serious harm to the organization, and its recessive occurrence creates difficulty for the organization to guard against it. This study aims to explore the influence of high-performance work systems (HPWS) on the two sides of ECWB with employees and the internal influence path. It also aims to combine resource conservation and affective events theories to build an HPWS five-level model. It provides human resource management measures for enterprises to reduce and prevent the ECWB effectively. This study adopts a quantitative analysis method to conduct a questionnaire survey among employees in 366 enterprises in China. The results show that HPWS has a significant two-sided impact on ECWB. For employees with positive emotions, HPWS improved employee performance and inhibited ECWB. Meanwhile, for employees with negative emotions, HPWS reduces employees' work input and increases employees' counterproductive behaviors. For negative employees, the positive effect of HPWS is more significant than the negative effect of positive employees. In addition, organizational commitment has a moderating effect on the counterproductive behavior of negative employees. Therefore, when implementing HPWS, enterprises should consider the impact of both sides of HPWS on ECWB and adopt a more humane management method. In this study, a practical five-level HPWS model is constructed, which complements the existing research model and provides a theoretical basis and practical guidance for enterprises to scientifically and effectively promote employees to achieve high performance. The highly efficient, 2D material‐based sensing devices are well‐suited with the advanced production technology which provide the data that can be applied effectively for the monitoring of environmental and health‐related problems. Recently, MXenes considered as new blood in the form of 2D transition metal carbides (TMC), transition metal nitride or transition metal carbonitrides that are added first time to 2D nanomaterials family MXene which are compounds obtained as a result of chemical delamination of quaternary or (ternary) layered nitrides or carbides found as an outstanding member of 2D elemental materials. On behalf of rich chemistries and unique morphologies, the MXenes derivatives delivered efficient sensors, energy storage, catalysis, and water purification. The superior volumetric surface area provides improved sensor response and greater optic, electrical, and magnetic characteristics, which are important advantages in biological and biomedical applications over macroscale materials. In this review article, different synthetics strategies of Mxene derivatives are organized and discuss their availability in terms of caste, yield, physical properties, and simplicity. To keep in mind, the facile synthetic approach and stable physical properties, the Ti3C2Tx Mxene is chosen as a model Mxene derivative, and its application in the field of environmental and biological sensors is discussed in detail. Background: Paeoniae Radix Alba (PRA), the root of the plant Paeonia lactiflora Pall., has been suggested to play an important role for the treatment of asthma. A biochemical understanding of the clinical effects of Paeoniae Radix Alba is needed. Here, we explore the phytochemicals and therapeutic mechanisms via a systematic and comprehensive network pharmacology analysis.Methods: Through TCMSP, PubChem, GeneCards database, and SwissTargetPrediction online tools, potential targets of active ingredients from PRA for the treatment of asthma were obtained. Cytoscape 3.7.2 was used to determine the target of active ingredients of PRA. Target protein interaction (PPI) network was constructed through the STRING database. The Gene Ontology (GO) biological process and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis were analyzed through the biological information annotation database (DAVID).Results: Our results indicate that PRA contains 21 candidate active ingredients with the potential to treat asthma. The enrichment analysis of GO and KEGG pathways found that the treatment of asthma by PRA may be related to the process of TNF (tumor necrosis factor) release, which can regulate and inhibit multiple signaling pathways such as ceramide signaling.Conclusions: Our work provides a phytochemical basis and therapeutic mechanisms of PRA for the treatment of asthma, which provides new insights on further research on PRA. Background. Mutations of the Ectodysplasin-A (EDA) gene are generally associated with syndrome hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia or nonsyndromic tooth agenesis. The influence of EDA mutations on dentinogenesis and odontoblast differentiation has not been reported. The aim of this study was to identify genetic clues for the causes of familial nonsyndromic oligodontia and explore the underlying mechanisms involved, while focusing on the role of human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs). Materials and Methods. Candidate gene sequences were obtained by PCR amplification and Sanger sequencing. Functional analysis was conducted, and the pathogenesis associated with EDA mutations in hDPSCs was investigated to explore the impact of the identified mutation on the phenotype. Capillary electrophoresis (CE) was used to detect X-chromosome inactivation (XCI) in the blood of female carriers. Results. In this study, we identified an EDA mutation in a Chinese family: the missense mutation c.1013C>T (Thr338Met). Transfection of hDPSCs with a mutant EDA lentivirus decreased the expression of EDA and dentin sialophosphoprotein (DSPP) compared with transfection of control EDA lentivirus. Mechanistically, mutant EDA inhibited the activation of the NF-κB pathway. The CE results showed that symptomatic female carriers had a skewed XCI with a preferential inactivation of the X chromosome that carried the normal allele. Conclusions. In summary, we demonstrated that EDA mutations result in nonsyndromic tooth agenesis in heterozygous females and that, mechanistically, EDA regulates odontogenesis through the NF-κB signalling pathway in hDPSCs. This article develops a general framework for preference heterogeneity. This framework includes a discount function, a nonstandard Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equation (HJB) and a behavioral equation. When controlling parameters, our discount function and its HJB can reduce to those in Marín‐Solano and Patxot (2012) and among many others. In various fields, our framework can find equilibrium path in the coexistence of present bias, preference heterogeneity, and time‐inconsistency. As an example, the present paper quantifies the impact of preference heterogeneity on household financial decision‐making. Camellia oil is widely recognized as a high‐quality culinary oil in East Asia for its organoleptic and health‐promoting properties, but its chemical composition and thermal stability have not been comprehensively defined by comparisons with other oils. In this study, the triacylglycerols (TAGs) in camellia, olive, and six other edible oils were profiled by the liquid chromatography‐mass spectrometry (LC‐MS)‐based chemometric analysis. Besides observing the similarity between camellia oil and olive oil, TAG profiling showed that OOO, POO, and OOG (O: oleic acid, P: palmitic acid, and G: gadoleic acid) can jointly serve as the identity markers of camellia oil. Thermal stability of virgin camellia oil (VCO) was further evaluated by extensive comparisons with virgin olive oil (VOO) in common lipid oxidation indicators, aldehyde production, and antioxidant and pro‐oxidant contents. The results showed that p‐anisidine value (AnV) was the sensitive lipid oxidation indicator, and C9‐C11 aldehydes, including nonanal, 2‐decenal, 2,4‐decadienal, and 2‐undecenal, were the most abundant aldehydes in heated VCO and VOO. Under the frying temperature, heated VCO had lower AnV and less aldehydes than heated VOO. Interestedly, the VCO had lower levels of pro‐oxidant components, including α‐linolenic acid, free fatty acids, and transition metals, as well as lower levels of antioxidants, including α‐tocopherol and phenolics, than the VOO. Overall, great similarities and subtle differences in TAG and aldehyde profiles were observed between camellia and olive oils, and the thermal stability of camellia oil might be more dependent on the balance among its unsaturation level, pro‐oxidant, and antioxidant components than a single factor. Summary: This paper focuses on improvement of structural seismic performance under earthquakes of different intensities using a large mass ratio multiple tuned mass damper (LMTMD). A thermal power plant was taken as the example, and the plant was modeled using the finite element software ABAQUS. Coal buckets, which comprised 29.2% of the total mass of the structure, were used as the mass of the LMTMD. Thus, a large mass ratio was easily achieved without adding any extra mass. Incremental dynamic analysis was used to investigate the seismic fragility of the structures, and the seismic performances of the structure equipped with the LMTMD and the original structure were compared. The damping effectiveness and the control reliability of the LMTMD were evaluated. The fragility curves show that under rare earthquakes, the LMTMD reduced the probability of the moderate damage limit state by 43.9%, and under extremely rare earthquakes, the LMTMD exhibited good control robustness and reduced the probability of the severe damage limit state by 25.1%. Furthermore, the LMTMD could control the deformation pattern of the structure and effectively reduced concentrated damage, especially under high‐intensity ground motions; specifically, it reduced the average value of the interstory drift ratio by 1.2%–12% and reduced the standard deviation of the interstory drift ratio by 15%–62%. Nanomaterials have attracted ever‐increasing interest in tissue regeneration in the past few decades. As an emerging 2D layered nanomaterial, black phosphorus shows more promising potentials in organism restoration than other 2D materials, attributed to its extraordinary biodegradation ability, remarkable optical properties, and high payload of drugs and agents. The degradation products, i.e., phosphate, can be adsorbed by tissues for specific regeneration such as bone, yet the excessive degradation rate of black phosphorus will reduce its application performance and hazard the biological safety. First, a solid overview of the research topic about the balance between the degradation and stability of black phosphorus is provided. For this purpose, the recent research works on the degradation mechanism, and the passivation methods from both physical and chemical aspects are in detail summarized. In the next part, the biosafety of black phosphorus is compared with the biosafety of other 2D materials, and the latest research studies of black phosphorus used for tissue regeneration are provided. At last, the current challenges of black phosphorus are put forward; therefore, its future development direction and research focus applied in the field of tissue regeneration in vivo are derived. Considering the ever‐growing climatic degeneration, sustainable and renewable energy sources are needed to be effectively integrated into the grid through large‐scale electrochemical energy storage and conversion (EESC) technologies. With regard to their competent benefit in cost and sustainable supply of resource, room‐temperature sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) have shown great promise in EESC, triumphing over other battery systems on the market. As one of the most fascinating cathode materials due to the simple synthesis process, large specific capacity, and high ionic conductivity, Na‐based layered transition metal oxide cathodes commonly suffer from the sluggish kinetics, multiphase evolution, poor air stability, and insufficient comprehensive performance, restricting their commercialization application. Here, this review summarizes the recent advances in layered oxide cathode materials for SIBs through different optimal structure modulation technologies, with an emphasis placed on strategies to boost Na+ kinetics and reduce the irreversible phase transition as well as enhance the store stability. Meanwhile, a thorough and in‐depth systematical investigation of the structure–function–property relationship is also discussed, and the challenges as well as opportunities for practical application electrode materials are sketched. Purpose: To evaluate the utility of the whole-lesion histogram apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) for characterizing the heterogeneity of mucinous breast carcinoma (MBC) and to determine which ADC metrics may help to best differentiate subtypes of MBC.Materials and Methods: This retrospective study involved 52 MBC patients, including 37 pure MBC (PMBC) and 15 mixed MBC (MMBC). The PMBC patients were subtyped into PMBC-A (20 cases) and PMBC-B (17 cases) groups. All patients underwent preoperative diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) at 1.5T and the whole-lesion ADC assessments were generated. Histogram-derived ADC parameters were compared between PMBC vs. MMBC and PMBC-A vs. PMBC-B, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was used to determine optimal histogram parameters for differentiating these groups.Results: The PMBC group exhibited significantly higher ADC values for the mean (P = 0.004), 25th (P = 0.004), 50th (P = 0.004), 75th (P = 0.006), and 90th percentiles (P = 0.013) and skewness (P = 0.021) than did the MMBC group. The 25th percentile of ADC values achieved the highest area under the curve (AUC) (0.792), with a cutoff value of 1.345 × 10-3 mm2 /s, in distinguishing PMBC and MMBC. The PMBC-A group showed significantly higher ADC values for the mean (P = 0.049), 25th (P = 0.015), and 50th (P = 0.026) percentiles and skewness (P = 0.004) than did the PMBC-B group. The 25th percentile of the ADC cutoff value (1.476 × 10-3 mm2 /s) demonstrated the best AUC (0.837) among the ADC values for distinguishing PMBC-A and PMBC-B.Conclusion: Whole-lesion ADC histogram analysis enables comprehensive evaluation of an MBC in its entirety and differentiating subtypes of MBC. In this study, we aimed to investigate the molecular pathway(s) underlying the effect of metformin (MET) on the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)‐2 and MMP‐9. Real‐time polymerase chain reaction, Western blot analysis, and gelatin zymography were used to assay the effects of MET on MMP and AMPK signaling pathways. In addition, HTOG cells were treated with miR‐29b‐3p/a scramble control, H19/a negative control, or MET/PBS to explore possible signaling pathway(s) underlying the inhibitory effect of MET on MMP‐2/MMP‐9. A rat model of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) was also established to validate the molecular mechanism(s) of MET in vivo. The administration of MET suppressed the expression of MMP‐9/MMP‐2 and mTOR while increasing the expression of Akt and AMPK, indicating that MET reduced the expression of MMPs via the AMPK signaling pathway. Meanwhile, the H19/miR‐29b‐3p/MMP‐9 and H19/miR‐29b‐3p/MMP‐2 signaling pathways were implicated in PCOS, in which the interactions between H19/miR‐29b‐3p and MMP‐9/MMP‐2/miR‐29b‐3p were confirmed. Furthermore, the administration of MET suppressed the expression of H19 while elevating the expression of miR‐29b‐3p. And the role of MET in PCOS was also confirmed in vivo via examining the activity of H19 and AMPK signaling pathways in cell or serum samples collected from PCOS rats. Chemokine‐like factor (CKLF)‐like, MAL and related proteins for vesicle trafficking and membrane link (MARVEL) transmembrane domain‐containing family proteins (CMTMs) have significant roles in the immune system, in male reproduction, as well as in tumorigenesis. Previous studies have shown that CMTM family member 7 (CMTM7) was broadly expressed in various normal tissues, but not in lung, gastric, esophageal, pancreas, and cervix cancers. To explore its relationship with liver cancer, we examined the expression of CMTM7 in liver cancers and its correlation with clinical and pathological conditions. We found that CMTM7 expression was markedly reduced in liver cancer tissues, and negatively correlated with TNM staging and tumor metastasis. In vitro studies showed that enforced expression of CMTM7 inhibited the cell growth and migration of liver cancer cells. Further analysis revealed that CMTM7 suppressed AKT signaling and induced cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase in the liver cancer cells, likely as the consequent of decreased levels of cyclin D1, cyclin‐dependent kinase 4 (CDK4), and CDK6, and increased p27 expression. Although long noncoding RNA (LncRNA) are important players in the initiation and progression of many pathological processes, the role of LncRNAENST00000453774.1 (LncRNA 74.1) in renal fibrosis still remains unclear. Lentivirus mediated LncRNA 74.1 overexpressing HK2 cells and overexpression mice models were constructed. HK2 cells induced by transforming growth factor‐β (TGF‐β) in vitro, and the mice UUO model in vivo were used to simulate renal fibrosis. The expression of LncRNA 74.1 was significantly downregulated in the TGF‐β‐induced HK‐2 cell fibrosis and clinical renal fibrosis specimens. LncRNA 74.1 overexpression obviously attenuated renal fibrosis in vitro and unilateral ureteral obstruction‐induced renal fibrosis in vivo. LncRNA 74.1 promoted reactive oxygen species defense by activating prosurvival autophagy then decreased ECM‐related proteins fibronectin and collagen I involved in renal fibrosis. We also found that Nrf2‐keap1 signaling played important roles in the remission of ECM mediated by LncRNA 74.1. This study indicates that LncRNA 74.1 downregulation would contribute to renal fibrosis and its overexpression might represent a novel anti‐fibrotic treatment in renal diseases. LncRNA 74.1 downregulation would contribute to renal fibrosis. Under harmonic load and random stationary white noise load, the existing fitting formulas are not suitable for calculating the optimal parameters of large mass ratio tuned mass dampers (TMDs). For this reason, the optimal parameters of large mass ratio TMDs are determined by numerical optimisation methods, and a revised fitting formula is proposed herein based on a curve fitting technique. Finally, the dynamic time history analysis method is used to study the control effect of large mass ratio TMDs. The results show that when the mass ratio is large, the error between the existing fitting formula and the actual optimal value is quite large, and the revised fitting formula is applicable to the parameter design of the traditional small mass ratio and large mass ratio (≤1) TMDs. When the ratio of local base soil predominant frequency to structure vibration frequency is greater than 4, the optimal parameters of a TMD under white noise excitation can be calculated according to the revised fitting formula, and the remaining conditions should be determined by numerical optimisation. In addition, a large mass ratio TMD reduces the dynamic response of the main structure effectively compared with a small mass ratio TMD and reduces the relative displacement between the TMD and main structure. To improve the recoverability of structures following an earthquake, a Reid friction damper with self-centering characteristics is proposed and its hysteretic behavior is studied by theoretical analysis and experimental research. The main parameters of the damper are the equivalent stiffness and energy dissipation coefficient. Based on a 10-story steel frame structure, 10 energy dissipation design schemes using the proposed Reid damper are proposed. The additional equivalent damping ratios of the 10 schemes are equal, whereas the energy dissipation coefficients of the dampers are different. The vibration control effects of the energy dissipation structures are analytically investigated under four earthquake loads. The experimental results of the friction damper are in good agreement with the theoretical results, and the hysteretic behavior of the damper follows that of a typical Reid model. The seismic response and structural damage can be reduced using any of the 10 design schemes; however, the effects are different. When the energy dissipation coefficient is in the range of 0.1–0.3, the control effect on the interstory drift is better; however, the structural acceleration response and damping force of the dampers increase. When the energy dissipation coefficient is in the range of 0.6–1.0, the energy dissipation effect of the dampers is good; however, the self-centering ability is poor. Therefore, the optimum range of the energy dissipation coefficient of a Reid damper intended for energy dissipation structures should be 0.3–0.6. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A parameter optimization design method is proposed for multiple coal bucket dampers (CBDs) to reduce the seismic response of coal-fired power plants. To test the damping effect of the optimized CBDs, a 1 : 30 scale shaking table test model of a power plant structure was fabricated. A comparative testing program was conducted using three seismic excitations on a model with and without CBDs. A finite element analysis model, replicating the conditions of the shaking table test, was constructed for comparison, and the shock absorption effects of CBDs subjected to 22 groups of far-field seismic action and 28 groups of near-field seismic action were analyzed. Finally, the influence of changes in the structural period on the seismic response of the CBD-equipped structure was studied. The results indicate that the use of CBDs in a coal-fired power plant structure, based on an optimization design method for multiple-tuned mass dampers (MTMDs), results in a significant reduction in the structure displacement response, displays a certain discreteness under different excitations, and maintains a certain damping stability even as the structural period changes. Under earthquake action, the reinforced concrete structure at the edge of the CAP1400 nuclear power plant foundation slab will be uplifted. In order to determine the seismic performance of this structure, a 1 : 12 scale shaking table test model was fabricated using gypsum as simulated concrete in order to meet scaled design requirements. By testing this model, the seismic response of the structure with consideration of the foundation uplift was obtained. Numerical analyses of the test model and the prototype structure were conducted to gain a better understanding of the structural seismic performance. When subjected to earthquakes, the foundation slab of the nuclear power plant experiences a slight degree of uplift but remains in the elastic stage due to the weight of the structure above, which provides an antioverturning moment. The numerical simulation is in general agreement with the test results, suggesting numerical simulations could be accurately employed in place of physical tests. The superstructure displacement response was found not to affect the safety of adjacent structures, and the seismic performance of the structure was shown to meet the relevant design requirements, demonstrating that this approach to modelling can serve as a design basis for the CAP1400 nuclear power demonstration project. Abstract: A novel approach using metabolomics coupled with a metabolic network was used to investigate the effects of Tao‐Hong‐Si‐Wu decoction (THSWD) on the rat model of acute blood stasis syndrome. Acute blood stasis syndrome was induced by placing the rats in ice‐cold water following two injections with epinephrine. The hemorheological indicators [whole blood viscosity (WBV) and plasma viscosity (PV)] and the blood coagulation indicators [thrombin time (TT), prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) and fibrinogen (FIB)] were detected. The nonparametric univariate method and multivariate statistical analysis were performed for determining the potential biomarkers. A correlation map was structured between biochemical indicators and hub metabolites to explain the effects mechanism of THSWD. After the administration of THSWD, the levels of WBV, PV, TT, APTT and FIB returned to levels observed in the control group. According to metabolomics coupled with metabolic network analysis, the intervention of THSWD in rats with acute blood stasis syndrome induced substantial and characteristic changes in their metabolic profiles. Fifteen metabolites were screened, which mainly involved 10 pathways and five hub metabolites, namely, l‐glutamate, l‐phenylalanine, N‐acylsphingosine, arachidonic acid and phosphatidate. The biochemical indicators and hub metabolites could be adjusted to close to normal levels by THSWD. Previously, the MS‐CASPT2 method was performed to study the static and qualitative photophysics of tellurium‐substituted cytosine (TeC). To get quantitative information, we used our recently developed QTMF‐FSSH dynamics method to simulate the excited‐state decay of TeC. The CASSCF method was adopted to reduce the calculation costs, which was confirmed to provide reliable structures and energies as those of MS‐CASPT2. A detailed structural analysis showed that only 5% trajectories will hop to the lower triplet or singlet state via the twisted (S2/S1/T2)T intersection, while 67% trajectories will choose the planar intersections of (S2/S1/T3/T2/T1)P and (S2/S1/T2/T1)P but subsequently become twisted in other electronic states. By contrast, ~28% trajectories will maintain in a plane throughout dynamics. Electronic population revealed that the S2 population will ultrafast transfer to the lower triplet or singlet state. Later, the TeC system will populate in the spin‐mixed electronic states composed of S1, T1 and T2. At the end of 300 fs, most trajectories (~74%) will decay to the ground state and only 17.4% will survive in the triplet states. Our dynamics simulation verified that tellurium substitution will enhance the intersystem crossings, but the very short triplet lifetime (ca. 125 fs) will make TeC a less effective photosensitizer. Abstract: Nature is an intriguing inspiration for designing a myriad of functional materials. However, artificial mimicking of bioinspired structures usually requires different specialized procedures and setups. In this study, a new upscalable concept is presented that allows to produce two bioinspired, bicomponent fiber morphologies (side‐by‐side and coaxial bead‐on‐string) using the same electrospinning setup, just by changing the employed spinning solvent. The generated fiber morphologies are highly attractive for thermoresponsive actuation and water harvesting. Another challenge solved in this work is the compositional characterization of complex fiber morphologies. Raman imaging and atomic force microscopy is introduced as a powerful method for the unambiguous characterization of complex bicomponent fiber morphologies. The work opens the way for the construction of heterostructured fiber morphologies based on different polymers combinations, offering high potential for applications as actuators, smart textiles, water management, drug release, and catalysis. A series of para-toluene sulfonamide ligands [TsNHPr-i(HL1), TsNHBu-t(HL2), TsNHPh(HL3), TsNHPhMe-p(HL4), TsNHPhOMe-p(HL5)] were synthesized by amidation using para-toluene sulfonyl chloride reacting with different primary amines. A series of homoleptic lanthanide complexes (Ln L3, 1–10) (Ln = La, L = L1 (1), Ln = Gd, L = L2 (2), Ln = La, L = L2 (3), Ln = Gd, L = L2(4), Ln = La, L = L3 (5), Ln = Gd, L = L3 (6), Ln = La, L = L4 (7), Ln = Gd, L = L4(8), Ln = La, L = L5 (9), Ln = Gd, L = L5 (10)) were prepared by amine elimination reactions of the ligands with Ln[N(SiMe3)2]3 (Ln = La, Gd). Complexes 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 were all characterized by NMR spectra, and the structures of complex 3 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 3 crystallizes a binuclear cluster, consisting of two La3+ and six (TsNBu-t)− anions. Three (TsNBu-t)− anions are chelating to each La3+ as bidentate model with O and N forming three-membered chelate rings; one of three anions is bridging to another La3+ via oxygen. All complexes were characterized using elemental analysis and infrared spectra. The catalytic properties of complexes 1–10 for the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone were studied and the results showed that all complexes are efficient initiators for this ring-opening polymerization reaction. Background. MicroRNAs have recently been verified as useful diagnostic biomarkers in various diseases. In this study, we investigated whether miR-217 is a useful diagnostic biomarker and the possible pathological mechanism of miR-217 in this disease. Methods. Patients with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), membranous nephropathy (MN), and diabetic nephropathy (DN) and control patients were enrolled in this study. The miR-217 inhibitor and mimics were transfected into human podocyte cells to investigate the pathological mechanism of miR-217 in this disease. Relevant indicators were detected and tested. Results. Compared with control patients, miR-217 was significantly downregulated and TNFSF11 was significantly upregulated in MN. Then, miR-217 had obvious separation between patients with MN and control patients, with an AUC of 0.941, a cutoff value of <750.0 copies/ul, and sensitivity and specificity of 88.9% and 75.9%. In addition, the TNFSF11 was confirmed to be the target gene of miR-217. Finally, in in vitro experiments, the upregulation of miR-217 could decrease the expression of TNFSF11 and not induce human podocyte cells apoptosis; however, the downregulation of miR-217 could bring about an opposite change. Conclusions. miR-217 is a useful diagnostic biomarker and is involved in human podocyte cells apoptosis via targeting TNFSF11 in membranous nephropathy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
