Background: Transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) is a crucial technique in interventional radiology. Hydrogel‐based embolic agents show promise due to their phase transition and drug‐loading capabilities. However, existing categorizations of these agents are confusing. Aims: This review tackles the challenge of categorizing hydrogel‐based embolic agents based on their therapeutic mechanisms, including transportation, accumulation, interaction, and elimination. It also addresses current challenges and controversies in the field while highlighting future directions for hydrogel‐based embolicagents. Materials and Methods: We conducted a systematic review of papers published in PUBMED from 2004 to 2024, focusing primarily on preclinical trials. Results: Various kinds of hydrogel embolic agents were introduced according to their therapeutic mechanisms. Discussion: Most hydrogel embolic agents were specifically designed for effective accumulation and interaction. Recent advancement highlight the potential of multifunctional hydrogel embolic agents. Conclusion: This new categorizations provided valuable insights into hydrogel embolic agents, potentially guiding material scientists and interventional radiologists in the development of novel hydrogel embolic agents in transarterial embolization. Background: High‐dose chemotherapy followed by autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) remains an effective treatment for non‐Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). The limited availability of carmustine has prompted the exploration of novel alternative conditioning regimens. This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety profile of GBM/GBC (gemcitabine, busulfan, and melphalan or cyclophosphamide) conditioning compared with the standard BEAM/BEAC regimens (carmustine, etoposide, cytarabine, and melphalan or cyclophosphamide) for ASCT in patients with NHL. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 231 NHL patients, who underwent ASCT from October 2010 to October 2021 at the Institute of Hematology & Blood Disease Hospital, including both first‐line and salvage settings. This resulted in the inclusion of 112 patients in the GBM/GBC arm and 92 in the BEAM/BEAC arm. Propensity score matching was employed to validate the results. Results: Disease subtype distribution was similar between the GBM/GBC and BEAM/BEAC groups, with diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma being the most common (58.9% vs. 58.7%), followed by PTCL (17.0% vs. 18.5%) and MCL (14.3% vs. 14.1%). At 3 months post‐ASCT, complete response (CR) rates were comparable (GBM/GBC 93.5% vs. BEAM/BEAC 91.1%; p = 0.607). The 4‐year progression‐free survival (78.4% vs. 82.3%; p = 0.455) and 4‐year overall survival (88.1% vs. 87.7%; p = 0.575) were also similar. Both groups exhibited low non‐relapse mortality at 4 years (GBM/GBC 1.8% vs. BEAM/BEAC 3.5%; p = 0.790) with no transplant‐related mortalities reported. The GBM/GBC cohort demonstrated a higher incidence of grade 3/4 oral mucositis and hepatic toxicity, whereas the BEAM/BEAC group had more frequent cases of bacteremia or sepsis (13 cases vs. 5 in GBM/GBC). Conclusions: The GBM/GBC regimen is effective and well‐tolerated, offering outcomes that are highly comparable to those in NHL patients conditioned with BEAM/BEAC, as demonstrated in a prognostically matched cohort. Dopamine (DA) is known as a crucial neurotransmitter synthesized and secreted by dopaminergic neurons and plays a role in regulating human emotions and behaviors. The determination of DA content is of great significance in clinical application and physiological function research. An electroanalytical sensor based on the ternary semiconductor material copper indium selenide (CuInSe2) coated carbon spheres functionalized glassy carbon electrode (CuInSe2@CS/GCE) towards the non‐invasive determination of DA was constructed in this study. The performances of the sensor were characterized using cyclic voltammetry, impedance method, and differential pulse voltammetry. The results show that wrinkled CuInSe2 completely coated on CS. The sensor exhibits good electrochemical kinetics and response signal towards DA, which results from the good electrochemical activity and excellent electroconductibility of transition metal centers of the composite. The determination limit of the proposed sensor towards DA is 0.59 μM (S/N=3), and the linear measuring range is between 1–800 μM. In addition, the sensor exhibits desirable long‐term robustness, reproducibility, repetitiveness, and interference immunity. Cancer cells are a class of important tumor biomarkers and are closely related to tumorous progression. It is urgent to develop a sensitive and highly efficient method for the rapid and accurate detection of cancer cells. Herein, an aptamer sandwiched nanochannel electrochemical sensor was established for the highly selective determination of cancer cells. By virtue of the porous nanochannels as the filter platform and immobilized with DNA aptamers for specifically capturing the cancer cells, the nanochannel‐based electrochemical sensor denotes excellent performance for MCF‐7 screening, and allowing a low limit of detection of 36 cells mL−1. The nanochannels‐based sandwich structure aptasensor not only presents an efficacious and reliable approach for cancer cell detection but also provides great advantage for preventing electrode passivation in the process of biomarkers analysis. The Linear Wireless Ad‐Hoc Network (Linear WANET), as a branch of the Ad‐Hoc network, refers to a self‐organizing multi‐hop wireless network in which nodes are arranged linearly. Frame aggregation and RTS/CTS schemes are introduced in IEEE 802.11 aims to improve network transmission performance. However, the traditional mechanisms may not have good adaptability in linear multi‐hop networks. Thus, we defined a Linear WANET simulation model based on the IEEE 802.11 protocol. We established this model on the NS‐3 network simulator to perform A‐MSDU, A‐MPDU, and two‐level frame aggregation simulation and analyzed the aggregation performance under different channel environments. Meanwhile, the RTS/CTS and TXOP mechanisms were also simulated in this article. We analyzed the performance of each mechanism in a Linear WANET under saturated and unsaturated environments. We found that the linear multi‐hop characteristic has a significant impact on the performance of the frame aggregation mechanism. In the Linear WANET, the A‐MSDU mechanism can improve system performance to a limited extent, but at the same time, it will increase the packet loss rate and delay. So, the two‐level aggregation can improve the maximum throughput of the system with better channel conditions. In the case of single A‐MPDU aggregation, there has a lowest data delivery interval that the Linear WANET system can withstand. The A‐MPDU mechanism is a better choice for the poor channel conditions with unsaturated system throughput. Meanwhile, we also found that the native TXOP mechanism cannot effectively improve the system efficiency of Linear WANET. BACKGROUND Eupelmid egg parasitoids in the genera Anastatus and Mesocomys are important biological control agents for lepidopterous and hemipterous pests worldwide. The egg of Chinese oak silkworm Antheraea pernyi has been widely used for mass rearing of Trichogramma parasitoids. This study evaluated the suitability and optimal use methods of A. pernyi egg as a factitious host for the rearing of six eupelmid egg parasitoids (Anastatus fulloi, Anastatus gansuensis, Anastatus japonicus, Anastatus meilingensis, Mesocomys albitarsis and Mesocomys trabalae). Each parasitoid was tested for its oviposition preference and offspring performance on various differently treated host eggs (extracted from virgin moths or laid naturally by virgin or mated moths, and washed or unwashed prior to the use) in both no‐choice and choice tests. RESULTS: All treated A. pernyi eggs were readily parasitized by the six parasitoids. In general, A. gansuensis and M. trabalae preferred washed over unwashed eggs regardless of the fertilization status of host eggs, A. fulloi and A. meilingensis parasitized more unfertilized than fertilized host eggs, and A. japonicus and M. albitarsis did not show a preference among differently treated host eggs. Host egg treatment did not significantly affect offspring fitness (development time, survival, sex ratio and body size) nor reproductive potential of developed adult females for each parasitoid species, except for M. albitarsis (whose females contained more eggs when reared from unfertilized than fertilized host eggs). CONCLUSION: Results suggest that manually extracted, unfertilized and washed A. pernyi eggs are most suitable for mass rearing of these eupelmid egg parasitoids in biological control programs. A hypoxic tumor microenvironment (TME) makes tumors resistant to various therapies including chemotherapies, radiotherapies, and photodynamic therapies. Here, a new strategy of building a reactive oxygen species (ROS) field effect transistor (FET) is reported, which enables amplified ROS flux for tumor ablation and addresses the challenge of tumor hypoxia by a liposomal delivery system (SN‐38∩LP@Fe3O4/GOx). This design can switch "ON" the ROS FET by a small tuning on the "gate electrode" with downregulation of HIF‐1α signaling. Highly effective tumor ablation both in vitro and in vivo using the ROS FET strategy is demonstrated, and its mechanism of changing tumor hypoxia is revealed. Distinctly different from the previous reports based on the chemical supply to address hypoxia TME, this work conceptually creates a method of maximizing ROS damages for cancer treatment with well‐leveraged modulation of the tumor hypoxia pathways. Aims: Anti‐leucine‐rich glioma‐inactivated 1 (LGI1) autoimmune encephalitis (AE) is characterized by complex manifestations of seizures. Here, we report a new seizure semiology, attempt to classify the disease by semiology type, and explore the metabolic pattern of each group. Methods: Anti‐LGI1 AE patients were retrospectively screened between May 2014 and September 2019 in our tertiary epilepsy center. All enrolled patients had seizures during long‐range video electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings, and all patients (except one) underwent [18F] fluoro‐2‐deoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) scans. Voxel‐based metabolic analysis and z‐distribution analysis were carried out to determine the metabolic pattern. Results: Thirty‐three patients were enrolled. According to the patients' seizure semiology, we divided the patients into four groups: focal impaired awareness seizures (FIAS, n = 17), faciobrachial dystonic seizures (FBDS)‐only (n = 6), FBDS‐plus (n = 8), and focal aware motor seizures (FAMS) (n = 2). No significant differences were found in the clinical manifestations or accessory tests except for the onset age (FIAS < FBDS‐plus) and seizure semiology. This was the first study to extensively describe the clinical manifestations and EEG of FAMS in anti‐LGI1 AE patients. In addition, we found that the patients with different semiologies all showed a wide range of abnormal metabolism, which is not limited to the temporal regions and basal ganglia, and extends far beyond our previous interpretation of FDG‐PET data. Conclusion: Our results showed that FAMS can serve as a rare indicative seizure semiology of anti‐LGI1 AE and that individuals with this disease exhibited widespread functional network alterations. This study entails the analysis of the working performance of solid rocket motors (SRM), featuring the essential element of internal ballistic analysis. Therefore, the internal flow field under the condition of burning surface regression needs to be calculated. The boundary of the internal flow field of the SRM moves with the combustion of the propellant; therefore, it is necessary to accurately track the mobile interface to provide boundary conditions for the flow field calculation. The coupling of the level set method and the volume fraction method is utilized to track the burning surface, and the porous media model is used to divide the fluid and solid calculation domains. The interface between the two calculation domains is used to characterize the burning surface, and then, the area of the burning surface is obtained by solving the area of the interface. The calculation and analysis are carried out for SRM with tubular charge and star charge. The results verify that the calculation model can accurately calculate the transient internal flow field of SRM under the condition of burning surface regression. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To assess and compare the clinical outcomes and complications of TightRope® fixation vs hook plate fixation for the treatment of Rockwood III‐VI Acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) dislocations. Methods: Relevant studies were identified by searching PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases, from their inception to 12 April, 2019. The main outcomes of interest included Constant Score, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Shoulder Score, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), coracoclavicular distance (CCD), and complications. Weight mean difference (WMD) with 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) or risk ratio (RR) with 95% CIs was used to calculate the data. Results: Four studies with a total of 179 patients were included in this study. Compared with hook plate, TightRope® fixation was associated with a significantly less VAS score for pain (WMD = ‐0.69, 95% CI: −1.10, −0.27; P = 0.001). However, there were no significant differences between the two surgical techniques in terms of Constant Score (WMD = 6.12, 95% CI: −3.84, 16.08; P = 0.229), UCLA (WMD = 7.96, 95% CI: −5.76, 21.68; P = 0.256), CCD (WMD = 0.24, 95% CI: −0.67, 1.15; P = 0.602), and complication rate. Conclusion: Both TightRope® and hook plate techniques offered effective outcomes in relieving the pain of dislocation and improving function of ACJ. However, TightRope® fixation showed an advantage over hook plate in terms of postoperative pain. Further larger‐scale RCTs are needed to verify our findings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: Type I sialidosis (ST‐1) is a rare autosomal recessive inherited disorder. To date, there has been no study on ST‐1 patients in mainland China. Methods: We reported in detail the cases of five Chinese ST‐1 patients from two centers, and summarized all worldwide cases. Then, we compared the differences between Chinese and foreign patients. Results: A total of 77 genetically confirmed ST‐1 patients were identified: 12 from mainland China, 23 from Taiwan, 10 from other Asian regions, and 32 from European and American regions. The mean age of onset was 16.0 ± 6.7 years; the most common symptoms were myoclonus seizures (96.0%), followed by ataxia (94.3%), and blurred vision (67.2%). Compared to other groups, the onset age of patients from mainland China was much younger (10.8 ± 2.7 years). The incidence of visual impairment was lower in patients from other Asian regions than in patients from mainland China and Taiwan (28.6% vs. 81.8%–100%). Cherry‐red spots were less frequent in the Taiwanese patients than in patients from other regions (27.3% vs. 55.2%–90.0%). Furthermore, 48 different mutation types were identified. Chinese mainland and Taiwanese patients were more likely to carry the c.544A > G mutation (75% and 100%, respectively) than the patients from other regions (only 0%–10.0%). Approximately 50% of Chinese mainland patients carried the c.239C > T mutation, a much higher proportion than that found in the other populations. In addition, although the brain MRI of most patients was normal, 18F‐FDG‐PET analysis could reveal cerebellar and occipital lobe hypometabolism. Interpretation: ST‐1 patients in different regions are likely to have different mutation types; environmental factors may influence clinical manifestations. Two thermoregulated dicationic ionic liquids were synthesized and applied for effective extraction of the common dye malachite green oxalate (MG). The extraction parameters such as amount of ionic liquids, pH of water phase, extraction time, cooling time, and centrifugal time on the extraction efficiency were investigated systematically. It revealed that the dye has been successfully extracted into the ionic liquids, with high extraction efficiency higher than 98%, and recovery of 98.2%–100.8%, respectively. Furthermore, these ionic liquids can be recycled easily after elution. The reusable yields were 87.1% and 88.7%. The extraction of the dye into the thermoregulated ionic liquid provides a method of minimizing pollution of waste water potentially. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the seizure semiologic characteristics of patients with autoimmune epilepsy (AE) and describe the investigation characteristics of AE using a larger sample size. Methods: This observational retrospective case series study was conducted from a tertiary epilepsy center between May 2014 and March 2017. Cases of new‐onset seizures were selected based on laboratory evidence of autoimmunity. At the same time, typical mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE) patients with hippocampal sclerosis (HS) were recruited as the control group from the subjects who underwent presurgical evaluation during the same period. Results: A total of 61 patients with AE were identified. Specific autoimmune antibodies were detected in 39 patients (63.93%), including anti‐VGKC in 23 patients (37.70%), anti‐NMDA‐R in 9 patients (14.75%), anti‐GABAB‐R in 6 patients (9.84%), and anti‐amphiphysin in 1 patient (1.64%). Regarding the seizure semiology, no significant differences were noted between AE patients with autoantibody and patients with suspected AE without antibody. Compared to typical MTLE patients with HS, both AE patients with autoantibody and patients with suspected AE without antibody had the same seizure semiologic characteristics, including more frequent SPS or CPS, shorter seizure duration, rare postictal confusion, and common sleeping SGTC seizures. Significance: This study highlights important seizure semiologic characteristics of AE. Patients with autoimmune epilepsy had special seizure semiologic characteristics. For patients with autoimmune epilepsy presenting with new‐onset seizures in isolation or with a seizure‐predominant neurological disorder, the special seizure semiologic characteristics may remind us to test neuronal nuclear/cytoplasmic antibodies early and initiate immunomodulatory therapies as soon as possible. GaN nanowires (NWs) were grown on GaN(0001) coated sapphire substrate with Ni/Au catalyst by using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition. Nucleation conditions were investigated for improving the growth orientation of NWs. With decreasing catalyst thickness from 5nm/5nm to 2nm/2nm, the NW orientation was improved and the NW morphology was changed from taper to cylindrical, due to the varying of growth mode. Vertical alignment of NWs can be further improved by inserting an additional high-temperature (850 ℃) nucleation step with an optimum V/III flow ratio of 20. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The coordination polymer [Cd(HL)(BPDA)] n · nH2O ( 1) based on 3-(5-(pyridin-4-yl)-1 H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)pyridine (HL) and 1,1′-biphenyl-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid (H2BPDA) was hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, XRPD, IR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. The asymmetric unit of compound 1 consists of one crystallographically independent CdII ion, one HL ligand, 'two half' BPDA2- ligand, and one lattice water molecule. There are two crystallographically different BDPA2- moieties, but each of them is placed in a symmetry element. The BPDA2- ligands and CdII ions connected to2D sheet, and the 2D sheets are connected to a 3D MOF by the HL ligands. Each dimeric CdII unit links six nearest neighbors through the BPDA2- and HL ligands, and the dimeric CdII units are centrosymmetric. Two parallel HL ligands connect two dimeric CdII units, generating long Cd2-HL-Cd2-HL rings, also centrosymmetric. So we can define the dimeric CdII unit as a 6-connected node. Thus, the 3D structure can be described as a threefold parallel interpenetrated bsn beta-Sn topology. In addition, the optical properties of compound 1 and the free ligand H L were investigated. A new coordination polymer, [Co2(L)2(4,4′-bipy)] n·3 nH2O ( 1) based on 5-(3-methyl-5-phenyl-4 H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)isophthalic acid (H2 L) and 4,4′-bipyridine (4,4′-bipy) has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, XRPD, IR, and elemental analysis. Temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility and thermal degradation for 1 were also studied. The asymmetric unit of compound 1 consists of two crystallographically independent Co(II) ion, two L2− ligand, one 4,4′-bipy ligand, and three lattice water molecules. The 2D triangle networks were linked by the bridging 4,4′-bipy ligand to give rise to a 2-fold interpenetrated 3D architecture. The simplest cyclic motif of the 2D networks is a triangle ring consisting of three Co(II) cations and three L2− ligands. So we can define Co(II) ions as 4-connected nodes and the L2− ligands as 3-connected nodes. Thus, the 3D structure can be described as a 2-fold parallel interpenetrated ins InS 3,4-conn topology. A series of 1,10-phenanthroline derivatives were used as supporting ligands for copper-catalyzed Ullmann reaction in neat water. The catalytic system based on 4,7-dihydroxy-1,10-phenanthroline has demonstrated the promising catalytic performances for aryl bromides. The catalytic system was applicable to a wide scope of substrates, high catalytic activity and selectivity were observed for the reactions of electron-deficient, electron-rich, and heterocyclic aryl bromides with imidazoles containing different steric hindrance. The superior promoting effect of 4,7-dihydroxy-1,10-phenanthroline is attributed to its water solubility under the basic conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective To explore the myoblast formation around the urethra and increase in urethral resistance of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells or muscle-like cells/calcium alginate composite gel injection therapy and effect on LPP in SUI rat model. Methods Isolation, cultivation, and identification of SD rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell were performed. 5-Azacytidine was introduced to induce muscle-like cells. SUI was produced in 72 6-week-old female Sprague-Dawley rats, which were divided into four groups: stem cell-gel group, muscle-like cell-gel group, Gel group, and mock control group. One, 4, and 8 weeks after injection, the leak point pressure (LPP) was measured. HE staining of Desmin and α-skeletal muscle actin (α-SMA) were performed. Results At 4 and 8 weeks after injection in stem cell-gel group and muscle-like cell-gel group, growth of blood vessels gradually increased at gel edge, BMSC, and muscle-like cells gathered around the new blood vessels observed by fluorescence tracer, muscle-like cells grew into elongated spindle-like cells, Desmin, and α-SMA staining were obviously positive expression. LPP determinations of the mock control group compared with the Gel groups were significantly different. Conclusions Compound of BMSC, muscle-like cells, and calcium alginate composite gel has the potential to differentiate into muscle cells in the microenvironment of SUI rat model. It is found by LPP measurement that the correlation between the increase in urethral resistance and the volume effect of calcium alginate gel is high. Neurourol. This study aimed to investigate the association of the aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) Glu504Lys polymorphism, which exists in 30-50% of East Asians, and risk of acute coronary syndrome (ACS). We enrolled 1092 unrelated Han Chinese, including 546 with ACS and 546 age- and sex-matched controls. Subjects with ALDH2 mutant genotypes showed significantly higher ACS than did controls (46.7% versus 31.9%, P < 0.001). Logistic regression analysis revealed the ALDH2 mutant independently associated with ACS (odds ratio [OR] 1.95, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.31-2.92, P = 0.001), but the association was weaker on adjusting for alcohol consumption (OR 1.82, 95% CI: 1.23-2.70, P = 0.003). Similar results were found in a subgroup analysis of patients with primary ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The ALDH2 mutant was significantly associated with level of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in patients with ACS ( P = 0.002) and in controls ( P = 0.009) and number of circulating endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) ( P = 0.032); furthermore, inclusion of hs-CRP level and EPCs number as independent variables in regression analysis reduced the importance of ALDH2 polymorphism in ACS or primary STEMI. However, ALDH2 polymorphism was not associated with number of coronary arteries with significant stenosis, Gensini score or flow-mediated dilation of the brachial artery. Our results suggest that ALDH2 mutation is a genetic risk marker for ACS, which is explained in part by alcohol consumption, inflammation and number of circulating EPCs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The differences between N‐ and N+ buried layers in improving the breakdown voltage of RESURF (reduced surface field) LDMOSFETs (lateral double‐diffused metal‐oxide‐semiconductor field‐effect transistors) are discussed in this paper. Two concise RESURF criteria for LDMOS with a low‐doped fully depleted N‐ buried layer (NBL) and a highly doped nondepleted N+ floating layer (NFL) are developed by optimizing the lateral and vertical electric fields. The analytical solution quantitatively demonstrates the variation of the drift charge concentration and its dependence on the key NBL and NFL parameters. It also indicates that the NBL LDMOS achieves a superior tradeoff between specific on‐resistance (Rs,on)and breakdown voltage (BV) to the NFL LDMOS. The BV2/Rs,on for NBL LDMOS is 3.1 MW/cm2, which is increased respectively by 93.8% and 40.9% compared with the single RESURF and NFL‐LDMOS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The latest generation of wearable devices features materials that are flexible, conductive, and stretchable, thus meeting the requirements of stability and reliability. However, the metal conductors that are currently used in various equipments cannot achieve these high performance expectations. Hence, a mussel‐inspired conductive hydrogel (HAC–B–PAM) is prepared with a facile approach by employing polyacrylamide (PAM), dopamine‐functionalized hyaluronic acid (HAC), borax as a dynamic cross‐linker agent, and Li+ and Na+ as conductive ions. HAC–B–PAM hydrogels demonstrate an excellent stretchability (up to 2800%), high tensile toughness (42.4 kPa), self‐adhesive properties (adhesion strength to porcine skin of 49.6 kPa), and good self‐healing properties without any stimuli at room temperature. Furthermore, the fabricated hydrogel‐based strain sensor is sensitive to deformation and can detect human body motion. Objectives: T cells play an essential role in controlling the development of B‐cell lymphoproliferative disorders (BLPDs), but the dysfunction of T cells in BLPDs largely remains elusive. Methods: Using multiplexed flow cytometry, we quantified all major subsets of CD4+ helper T cells (Th) and CD8+ cytotoxic T cells (Tc) in 94 BLPD patients and 66 healthy controls. Statistics was utilised to rank T‐cell signatures that distinguished BLPDs from healthy controls and differentially presented between indolent and aggressive categories. Results: By comparing with healthy controls, we found that the indolent but not aggressive type of BLPDs demonstrated a high degree of T‐cell activation, showing the increase in type I helper T (Th1) cells and follicular B‐helper T (Tfh) cells, both of which strongly associated with the enhanced differentiation of exhaustion‐like effector cytotoxic CD8+ T cells expressing PD‐1 (Tc exhaustion‐like) in indolent BLPDs. Random forest modelling selected a module of T‐cell immune signatures best performing binary classification of all BLPD patients. This signature module was composed of low naïve Th cells and high Th1, Tfh and Tc exhaustion‐like cells which efficiently identified > 85% indolent cases and was, therefore, assigned as the Indolent Dominant Module of T‐cell immune signature. In indolent BLPD patients, a strong bias towards such signatures was found to associate with clinical characteristics of worse prognosis. Conclusion: Our study identified a prominent signature of T‐cell dysregulation specifically for indolent BLPDs, suggesting Th1, Tfh and Tc exhaustion‐like cells represent potential prognostic biomarkers and targets for immunotherapies.
