Binder plays a crucial role in constructing high‐performance electrodes for water electrolysis. While most research has been focused on advancing electrocatalysts, the application of binders in electrode design has yet to be fully explored. Herein, the in situ incorporation of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as a multifunctional binder, which increases electrochemical active sites, enhances mass transfer, and strengthens the mechanical and chemical robustness of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrodes, is reported. The NiFe‐LDH@PTFE/NF electrode prepared by co‐deposition of PTFE with NiFe‐layered double hydroxide onto nickel foam demonstrates exceptional long‐term stability with a minimal potential decay rate of 0.034 mV h−1 at 500 mA cm−2 for 1000 h. The alkaline water electrolyzer utilizing NiFe‐LDH@PTFE/NF requires only 1.584 V at 500 mA cm−2 and sustains high energy efficiency over 1000 h under industrial operating conditions. Molten salt batteries (MSBs) are renowned for their rapid reaction kinetics, high safety, and cost‐effectiveness. However, their electrode design faces challenges due to polymer binder incompatibility in molten salt electrolytes (MSEs). To address this, an expanded graphite (EG) electrode is proposed through a dry electrode processing method for MSE‐based aluminum‐ion batteries. This method facilitates the fabrication of large‐area electrodes featuring high active material loadings of up to ≈60 mg cm−2. Notably, the EG electrode exhibits remarkable rate performance, achieving a specific capacity of 84.4 mAh g−1 in the AlCl3‐NaCl‐KCl MSE at 125 °C with a current density of 5 A g−1. This outstanding performance can be attributed to its rapid multi‐step intercalation reaction kinetics and well‐developed pore structure. Leveraging the chemical stability and fibrillization binding mechanism of the polytetrafluoroethylene binder, the electrode demonstrates longevity over 10,000 cycles, despite experiencing a three‐fold volume expansion. Additionally, a 100‐mAh‐scale Al‐EG full‐cell cycled 100 times with an energy efficiency of 78.7% at 500 mA underscores its potential for large‐scale applications. Despite the great progress in the research of integrated catalytic electrodes for hydrogen evolution reaction, the efficient preparation of high‐performance catalytic electrodes with high current density remains a challenging issue. In this work, a metal (Pt)‐amorphous oxide (NiO) heterostructure catalyst is successfully in situ grown on nickel foam using liquid Joule‐heating. Based on the superhydrophilic surface of the electrode and its superior mechanical and chemical stability, the catalytic electrode exhibits excellent catalytic performance in alkaline electrolytes with only 100 mV overpotential to achieve 5000 mA cm−2 current density and maintains a stable performance of 500 h under a fixed current density of 1000 mA cm−2. Further verification of the practical application of the Pt@NiO‐Ni electrode in the alkaline electrolyzer is conducted. The results show that the alkaline water electrolyzer with NiFe layered double hydroxide as the anode and Pt@NiO‐Ni as the cathode exhibits superior performance than the previously reported electrolyzers, with a current density of 1 A cm−2 already achieved at 1.75 V, which is even comparable to some anion exchange membrane water electrolyzers. The increasing demand for clean energy conversion and storage has increased interest in hydrogen production via electrolytic water splitting. However, the simultaneous production of hydrogen and oxygen in this process poses a challenge in extracting pure hydrogen without using ionic conducting membranes. Researchers have developed various innovative designs to overcome this issue, but continuous water splitting in separated tanks remains a desirable approach. This study presents a novel, continuous roll‐to‐roll process that enables fully decoupled hydrogen evaluation reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in two separate electrolyte tanks. The system utilizes specially designed "cable‐car" electrodes (CCE) that cycle between the HER and OER tanks, resulting in continuous hydrogen production with a purity of over 99.9% and Coulombic efficiency of 98% for prolonged periods. This membrane‐free water splitting system offers promising prospects for scaled‐up industrial‐scale green hydrogen production, as it reduces the cost and complexity of the system, and allows for the use of renewable energy sources to power the electrolysis process, thus reducing the carbon footprint of hydrogen production. All‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs) are rapidly moving toward commercialization as a promising high‐performance energy storage device for portable electronics and electric vehicles. One of the most challenging problems hindering the industrialization of ASSBs is the lack of technologies for cost‐effective and large‐scale manufacturing of high‐quality solid‐state electrolytes (SSEs) with about the same thickness as the polymer separators in conventional lithium‐ion batteries. Herein, atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) is adopted as a practical route to process large‐scale, uniform, and thin SSEs to conduct Li‐ions and further to manufacture ASSBs. Garnet‐type Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO) films with thicknesses ranging from 30 to 300 µm are successfully manufactured with direct APS technique followed with a post annealing treatment. The electrolyte reaches a high Li‐ion conductivity of 3.82 × 10−5 S cm−1 at room temperature (25 °C). Additionally, the LLZO film with a thickness of 300 µm shows a flexural strength of 157 MPa. Li/LLZO/Li and Li/LLZO/LiFePO4 cells are assembled with the films, both showing stable cycling performance. The APS method shows scalability in solid‐state electrolyte film production, and most importantly, such a process is highly compatible with the current battery industry. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Water, considered as a universal solvent to dissolve salts, has been extensively studied as liquid electrolyte in electrochemical devices. The water/ice phase transition at around 0 °C presents a common phenomenon in nature, however, the chemical and electrochemical behaviors of ice have rarely been studied. Herein, we discovered that the ice phase provides efficient ionic transport channels and therefore can be applied as generalized solid‐state ionic conductor. Solid state ionic conducting ices (ICIs) of Li+, Na+, Mg2+, Al3+, K+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+, frozen from corresponding sulphate solutions, exhibit ionic conductivities ranging from ≈10−7 S cm−1 (Zn2+) to ≈10−3 S cm−1 (Li+) at temperatures spanning from −20 °C to −5 °C. The discovery of ICIs opens new insight to design and fabrication of solid‐state electrolytes that are simple, inexpensive, and versatile. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
