In this study, ZnCo2O4/Ag3PO4 composite catalyst was prepared by the precipitation method, and their performance in the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange (MO) was studied. The catalysts were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction, energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, selected area electron diffraction, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and UV‐Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The results indicate that the 0.1 ZnCo2O4/Ag3PO4 composite system has good photocatalytic activity in the degradation of methyl orange. Under simulated sunlight conditions, the degradation rate can reach 94% after 30 min. The maximum reaction rate constant of 0.1 ZnCo2O4/Ag3PO4 was 0.05301 min−1, which is 3 times and 52 times the rate constant of pure Ag3PO4 and pure ZnCo2O4, respectively. In catalyst recycling experiments, 0.1 ZnCo2O4/Ag3PO4 still degraded methyl orange at a rate of 84.4% after three cycles. Trapping experiments showed that holes and superoxide radicals mostly contributed to the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange by the catalyst, while hydroxyl radicals played a partial role. The energy level structure of ZnCo2O4/Ag3PO4 is conducive to the effective separation of photogenerated electrons and holes, improving the lifespan of photogenerated charges. Aim: Apical periodontitis is an inflammatory disorder triggered by an immune response to bacterial infection, leading to the periapical tissue damage and alveolar resorption. However, the underlying mechanisms driving this process remain elusive, due to the complex and interconnected immune microenvironment within the local lesion site. In this study, the influence of Nlrp3 inflammasome‐mediated immune response on the apical periodontitis was investigated. Methodology: RNA sequencing, immunohistochemistry and ELISA assay were performed to investigate the activation of Nlrp3 inflammasome signalling pathways in the human periapical tissues, including radicular cysts, periapical granulomas and healthy oral mucosa. A mouse model of apical periodontitis was established to study the role of Nlrp3 knockout in periapical bone resorption and Treg cell stability, and the underlying mechanism was explored through in vitro experiments. In vivo Treg cell adoptive transfer was performed to investigate the effects of Treg cells on the progression of apical periodontitis. Results: Our findings find that the hyperactivated Nlrp3 inflammasome is present in human periapical lesions and plays a vital role in the immune‐related periapical bone loss. Using a mouse model of apical periodontitis, we observe that Nlrp3 deficiency is resistant to bone resorption. This protection was accompanied by elevated generation and infiltration of local Treg cells that displayed a notable ability to suppress RANKL‐dependent osteoclast differentiation. In terms of the mechanism of action, Nlrp3 deficiency directly inhibits the osteoclast differentiation and bone loss through JNK/MAPK and NF‐κB pathways. In addition, Nlrp3 induces pyroptosis in the stem cells from apical papilla (SCAPs), and the subsequent release of cytokines affects the stability of Treg cell in periapical lesions, leading indirectly to enhanced bone resorption. In turn, adoptive transfer of both Nlrp3‐deficient and wild‐type Treg cells effectively prevent the bone erosion during apical periodontitis. Conclusions: Together, our data identify that the Nlrp3 inflammasome modulates the Treg cell stability and osteoclastogenesis in the periapical inflammatory microenvironment, thus determining the progression of bone erosion. Background: Currently, an advanced imaging method may be necessary for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to diagnosis and quantify liver fibrosis (LF). Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility of the multicompartmental restriction spectrum imaging (RSI) model to characterize LF in a mouse model. Methods: Thirty mice with carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)‐induced LF and eight control mice were investigated using multi‐b‐value (ranging from 0 to 2000 s/mm2) diffusion‐weighted imaging (DWI) on a 3T scanner. DWI data were processed using RSI model (2–5 compartments) with the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) determining the optimal model. Conventional ADC value and signal fraction of each compartment in the optimal RSI model were compared across groups. Receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve analysis was performed to determine the diagnosis performances of different parameters, while Spearman correlation analysis was employed to investigate the correlation between different tissue compartments and the stage of LF. Results: According to BIC results, a 4‐compartment RSI model (RSI4) with optimal ADCs of 0.471 × 10−3, 1.653 × 10−3, 9.487 × 10−3, and > 30 × 10−3, was the optimal model to characterize LF. Significant differences in signal contribution fraction of the C1 and C3 compartments were observed between LF and control groups (P = 0.018 and 0.003, respectively). ROC analysis showed that RSI4‐C3 was the most effective single diffusion parameter for characterizing LF (AUC = 0.876, P = 0.003). Furthermore, the combination of ADC values and RSI4‐C3 value increased the diagnosis performance significantly (AUC = 0.894, P = 0.002). Conclusion: The 4‐compartment RSI model has the potential to distinguish LF from the control group based on diffusion parameters. Quinoa is a full‐nutrition food; however, its poor flavor and small size make it not the best food option for direct consumption. In this study, a quinoa snack (QS, a cake) was developed, and the aroma profile of the products was improved by adding jujube fruit powder (made from dried jujube fruits, from 5% to 30%). Gas chromatography mass spectrum (GC–MS) combined with electronic nose (e‐nose) was applied for characterizing the aroma profiles of QS samples. Results showed a total of 26 aroma compounds were identified in QS samples by GC–MS, and 3‐methylbutanol (from 1525 μg/kg in QS‐30 to 3487 μg/kg in QS‐0), ethanol (from 1126 μg/kg in QS‐0 to 3581 μg/kg in QS‐30), hexanal (from 125.6 μg/kg in QS‐30 to 984.1 μg/kg in QS‐0), and acetaldehyde (from 531.9 μg/kg in QS‐30 to 191.1 μg/kg in QS‐0) were common. The e‐nose response of W1S (sensitive to methane, from 17.50 of QS‐0 to 93.85 of QS‐30) and W1W (sensitive to sulfur‐organic compounds of e‐nose, from 15.57 of QS‐0 to 39.50 of QS‐30) were significantly higher, and significant differences were presented among QS samples. In conclusion, the aroma profile of the QS sample was significantly (p <.05) enhanced by the addition of jujube powder, and QS‐30 with the highest jujube content (30%) presented the strongest aroma profile. Moreover, QS samples with different additions of jujube powders could be well distinguished by principal component analysis (PCA), and the combination of e‐nose and GC–MS was effective in the volatile profile analysis of QS samples. This study investigates the impact of working clearances on the internal flow field, pressure pulsations, flow pulsations, and radial forces experienced by a hydrogen circulation pump. Numerical calculations are conducted on seven sets of distinct working clearances for the pump. The research findings demonstrate that an increase in meshing clearance and radial clearance results in higher leakage flow rate during the compression exhaust process, leading to a decrease in hydrogen circulation pump's exhaust flow rate. When the meshing clearance increases from 0.15 to 0.21 mm, the actual exhaust flow rate of the pump decreases from 37.46 to 32.73 m3 h−1. Similarly, when the radial clearance increases from 0.18 to 0.24 mm, the actual exhaust flow rate of the pump decreases from 42.46 to 29.71 m3 h−1. Additionally, with an increase in meshing clearance, both the radial forces Fx and Fy of the active rotor exhibit a downward trend. Yet, as radial clearance grows, the radial force Fx slightly descends, while the change trend of radial force Fy is first positive decrease and then reverse increase. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Fourier ptychography (FP) is an enabling imaging technique that produces high‐resolution complex‐valued images with extended field coverages. However, when FP images a phase object with any specific spatial frequency, the captured images contain only constant values, rendering the recovery of the corresponding linear phase ramp impossible. This challenge is not unique to FP but also affects other common microscopy techniques — a rather counterintuitive outcome given their widespread use in phase imaging. The underlying issue originates from the non‐uniform phase transfer characteristic inherent in microscope systems, which impedes the conversion of object wavefields into discernible intensity variations. To address this challenge, spatially‐coded Fourier ptychography (scFP) is presented for true quantitative phase imaging. In scFP, a flexible and detachable coded thin film is attached atop the image sensor in a regular FP setup. The spatial modulation of this thin film ensures a uniform phase response across the entire synthetic bandwidth. It improves reconstruction quality, corrects refractive index underestimation issues prevalent in conventional FP, and adds a new dimension of measurement diversity in spatial domain. The development of scFP is expected to catalyze new research directions and applications for phase imaging, emphasizing the need for true quantitative accuracy with uniform frequency response. Supramolecular room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials are attractive due to their excellent RTP characteristics and water resistance. By evaluating the photophysical properties of HA/BisNpI‐doped materials, it is proved that hyaluronic acid (HA) is a promising matrix and the rigid plane N,N′‐(1,4‐phenylene)‐bis(1,8‐naphthalimide) (Ph‐BisNpI) is an excellent luminescent guest molecule for constructing RTP materials. Moreover, it is found that γ‐cyclodextrin (γ‐CD) can successfully bind BisNpI guest molecule. Accordingly, a tightly arranged ternary supramolecular system with HA as matrix, Ph‐BisNpI as the guest, and γ‐CD as the host is constructed by host‐guest interaction and hydrogen bonding. As expected, the obtained ternary supramolecular system HA/Ph@CD8 displays a superior RTP performance (52.7 ms longer lifetime than HA/Ph), water‐resistance, and even aqueous RTP (τ = 207 µs), which significantly extends the application of RTP in aqueous solution. These results are possibly attributed to the inclusion of γ‐CD on Ph‐BisNpI guest molecules and the self‐assembly of γ‐CD and HA to form a rigid hydrogen bonding network, which effectively inhibits the non‐radiative decay of Ph‐BisNpI and shields the triplet excitons from water and oxygen. Furthermore, the prepared ternary supramolecular RTP materials are successfully used as anticounterfeiting ink and exhibit broader application prospects in water environments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Facial expression recognition (FER) is one of the popular research topics in computer vision. Most deep learning expression recognition methods perform well on a single dataset, but may struggle in cross‐domain FER applications when applied to different datasets. FER under cross‐dataset also suffers from difficulties such as feature distribution deviation and discriminator degradation. To address these issues, we propose a prototype‐oriented similarity transfer framework (POST) for cross‐domain FER. The bidirectional cross‐attention Swin Transformer (BCS Transformer) module is designed to aggregate local facial feature similarities across different domains, enabling the extraction of relevant cross‐domain features. The dual learnable category prototypes is designed to represent potential space samples for both source and target domains, ensuring enhanced domain alignment by leveraging both cross‐domain and specific domain features. We further introduce the self‐training resampling (STR) strategy to enhance similarity transfer. The experimental results with the RAF‐DB dataset as the source domain and the CK+, FER2013, JAFFE and SFEW 2.0 datasets as the target domains, show that our approach achieves much higher performance than the state‐of‐the‐art cross‐domain FER methods. Sodium alginate (SA) possesses good biocompatibility and can form hydrogel materials under certain conditions, which has been widely used in tissue engineering. However, the absence of cellular recognition sites and low mechanical strength for single‐component alginate (ALG) hydrogels limit their practical applications. Therefore, enhancing the shortcomings of ALG hydrogels and augmenting their characteristics hold immense importance for their medical uses. In this study, comprehensively considering the excellent properties of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) and sericin (SS), the alginate/sericin/cellulose nanocrystalline (ALG/SS/CNCS) composite hydrogels were constructed by interpenetrating network (IPN) technique using hydroxyapatite/D‐glucono‐δ‐lactone (HAP/GDL) as the endogenous ionic cross‐linking agent of SA, 1‐ethyl‐(3‐dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide hydrochloride/N‐hydroxysuccinimide (EDC/NHS) as the chemical covalent cross‐linking agent of SS and CNCS as the reinforcing agent. The effects of SS and CNCs additions on the comprehensive properties of ALG/SS/CNCs composite hydrogels, such as their morphologies, structure, mechanical properties, swelling, degradability, and cytocompatibility were investigated. The findings indicated that the ALG/SS/CNCS IPN composite hydrogels which were created through the physical blending of SA and SS, displayed a consistent three‐dimensional form and a porous configuration. The weak mechanical strength of pure ALG hydrogels can be effectively improved and the swelling stability and mechanical properties of the composite hydrogels can be enhanced through the construction of IPN network and the incorporation of CNCs, thanks to the presence of intermolecular hydrogen bonding. The biodegradability of ALG/SS/CNCS composite hydrogels increased as the SS content increased, indicating that SS facilitated their biomineralization due to its inherent susceptibility to degradation. The results of the cell compatibility test conducted in a laboratory setting showed that SS and CNCS had the ability to enhance the attachment, proliferation, and differentiation of MC3T3‐E1 cells on the ALG/SS/CNCS composite hydrogels. Hence, incorporating SS and CNCS into the alginate matrix to create IPN composite hydrogels could significantly enhance the physicochemical and biological characteristics of ALG hydrogels, thus rendering them appropriate for tissue engineering purposes. Aqueous zinc‐ion batteries (ZIBs) are among the most promising next‐generation energy storage systems due to their high level of safety, environmental friendliness, and low cost. However, the dendritic growth of Zn deposition leads to low Coulombic efficiency and severe capacity degradation, which limits their large‐scale application. In this study, silicon nanoparticles are used as electrolyte additives which can regulate the uniform electrodeposition of Zn by the formation of SiOZn bonds. Theoretical calculations and experimental investigations demonstrate that the silicon layer regulates the interfacial charge distribution, resulting in a lower nucleation energy barrier for the Zn anode. Consequently, Zn|Zn symmetric cells with nano‐Si electrolyte additives achieve remarkable cycling stability for 1250 cycles at 5 mA cm−2. When coupled with NaV3O8 cathodes, the resulting ZIBs deliver a high reversible capacity of 250 mAh g−1 and significantly improved capacity retention after long‐term cycles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Easy and convenient reading for blinds is of great significance for lowering their learning, entertainment, and communication barrier, and improving their living quality. The general solution is to learn braille, far from satisfying the meet of the blinds' daily learning and communication. Here, a new‐type conductor/insulator‐identifiable e‐tattoo proximity sensor is developed by simply depositing the circular interdigitated electrodes on organic semiconductor. The discriminable recognition toward conductors and insulators is realized only based on a single e‐tattoo device. The sensors not only enable recognition of the protruding characters like braille based on distance difference, but also enable recognition of the handwriting ink‐brush and pencil graphite characters based on the unique advantage of the sensors in distinguishing conduct and insulator. These results open a new route to realize the material category recognition, provide a user‐friendly way to help the visual impaired effectively reintegrate into society, and broaden the application field of proximity sensors. The realization of high‐performance photolithographic coplanar organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) is fundamental to boost cosmically commercial applications of organic electronics. However, photolithographic coplanar OTFTs generally suffer from poor charge injection and therefore poor filed‐effect performance. Here, a simple and effective strategy is developed to fabricate photolithographic rugged electrodes, and successfully achieve high‐density low‐contact‐resistance photolithographic coplanar OTFTs. Based on this versatile electrode, the wafer‐scale photolithographic rugged electrode can be easily achieved, and the device density of the coplanar OTFTs is as high as 28000 cm−2. The device shows excellent electrical properties with mobility up to 2.01 cm2 V−1 s−1 and Rc as low as 7.8 kΩ cm, which is superior to all the reported Ag‐electrode coplanar OTFTs. This work shows a reliable strategy to reduce the contact resistance of photolithographic coplanar OTFTs and elucidates the effect of injection resistance (Rinj) and access resistance (Racc) on coplanar OTFTs. Qinghai‐Tibet Plateau is facing a serious environmental and ecological problem of Meadow degradation. Toxic weed invasion is a typical characteristic of grassland degradation. Soil microbial community composition is sensitive to environmental changes; however, the effects of poisonous weed expansion on soil bacterial communities are unclear. Here, we investigated the effects of Stellera chamaejasme L. expansion on the rhizosphere soil bacterial community structure and function using high‐throughput sequencing. The results showed that expansion of Stellera chamaejasme L. changed soil nitrogen(e.g., total nitrogen [TN, −39.02%], available nitrogen [AN, −32.95%]) and other soil nutrients. Redundancy analysis (RDA) and Variance partitioning analysis (VPA) showed that soil nutrients changed, leading to significant changes in the bacterial community structure. The expansion of Stellera chamaejasme L significantly reduced its rhizosphere bacterial alpha diversity, and the beta diversity had significant differences (p < 0.05). Principal coordinates analysis (PCoA) and analysis of similarity (ANOSIM) indicated that the expansion caused significant variations in the rhizosphere bacterial community (R = 0.7037, p < 0.01). The linear discriminant analysis (LDA) effect size (LEfSe) analysis identified 23 biomarkers, most of which were Proteobacteria, indicating that bacteria involved in soil nutrient cycling were better able to survive in the alpine grassland. The Biolog EcoPlate method was used to determine the soil microbial metabolic capacity in different S. chamaejasme expansions. The result showed that heavy expansion had higher carbon source usage ability and microbial diversity index values. Furthermore, it was also found that heavy expansion improved the usage rate of amino acid carbon sources. Tax4Fun prediction analysis further indicated that carbohydrate metabolism, amino acid metabolism, and membrane transport were central metabolic pathways of rhizosphere soil bacteria. Our study found that Stellera chamaejasme L. changed rhizosphere soil nutrient and bacterial community structure during expansion and helped it tolerate harsh conditions by enriching bacterial communities actively involved in carbon and nitrogen metabolism and promoting plant growth. Mitochondrial transfer is emerging as a promising therapeutic strategy for tissue repair, but whether it protects against pulpitis remains unclear. Here, we show that hyperactivated nucleotide‐binding domain and leucine‐rich repeat protein3 (NLRP3) inflammasomes with pyroptotic cell death was present in pulpitis tissues, especially in the odontoblast layer, and mitochondrial oxidative stress (OS) was involved in driving this NLRP3 inflammasome‐induced pathology. Using bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) as mitochondrial donor cells, we demonstrated that BMSCs could donate their mitochondria to odontoblasts via tunnelling nanotubes (TNTs) and, thus, reduce mitochondrial OS and the consequent NLRP3 inflammasome‐induced pyroptosis in odontoblasts. These protective effects of BMSCs were mostly blocked by inhibitors of the mitochondrial function or TNT formation. In terms of the mechanism of action, TNF‐α secreted from pyroptotic odontoblasts activates NF‐κB signalling in BMSCs via the paracrine pathway, thereby promoting the TNT formation in BMSCs and enhancing mitochondrial transfer efficiency. Inhibitions of NF‐κB signalling and TNF‐α secretion in BMSCs suppressed their mitochondrial donation capacity and TNT formation. Collectively, these findings demonstrated that TNT‐mediated mitochondrial transfer is a potential protective mechanism of BMSCs under stress conditions, suggesting a new therapeutic strategy of mitochondrial transfer for dental pulp repair. Background: The potential reduction of normal tissue toxicities during FLASH radiotherapy (FLASH‐RT) has inspired many efforts to investigate its underlying mechanism and to translate it into the clinic. Such investigations require experimental platforms of FLASH‐RT capabilities. Purpose: To commission and characterize a 250 MeV proton research beamline with a saturated nozzle monitor ionization chamber for proton FLASH‐RT small animal experiments. Methods: A 2D strip ionization chamber array (SICA) with high spatiotemporal resolution was used to measure spot dwell times under various beam currents and to quantify dose rates for various field sizes. An Advanced Markus chamber and a Faraday cup were irradiated with spot‐scanned uniform fields and nozzle currents from 50 to 215 nA to investigate dose scaling relations. The SICA detector was set up upstream to establish a correlation between SICA signal and delivered dose at isocenter to serve as an in vivo dosimeter and monitor the delivered dose rate. Two off‐the‐shelf brass blocks were used as apertures to shape the dose laterally. Dose profiles in 2D were measured with an amorphous silicon detector array at a low current of 2 nA and validated with Gafchromic films EBT‐XD at high currents of up to 215 nA. Results: Spot dwell times become asymptotically constant as a function of the requested beam current at the nozzle of greater than 30 nA due to the saturation of monitor ionization chamber (MIC). With a saturated nozzle MIC, the delivered dose is always greater than the planned dose, but the desired dose can be achieved by scaling the MU of the field. The delivered doses exhibit excellent linearity with R2>0.99${R^2} > 0.99$ with respect to MU, beam current, and the product of MU and beam current. If the total number of spots is less than 100 at a nozzle current of 215 nA, a field‐averaged dose rate greater than 40 Gy/s can be achieved. The SICA‐based in vivo dosimetry system achieved excellent estimates of the delivered dose with an average (maximum) deviation of 0.02 Gy (0.05 Gy) over a range of delivered doses from 3 to 44 Gy. Using brass aperture blocks reduced the 80%‐20% penumbra by 64% from 7.55 to 2.75 mm. The 2D dose profiles measured by the Phoenix detector at 2 nA and the EBT‐XD film at 215 nA showed great agreement, with a gamma passing rate of 95.99% using 1 mm/2% criterion. Conclusion: A 250 MeV proton research beamline was successfully commissioned and characterized. Challenges due to the saturated monitor ionization chamber were mitigated by scaling MU and using an in vivo dosimetry system. A simple aperture system was designed and validated to provide sharp dose fall‐off for small animal experiments. This experience can serve as a foundation for other centers interested in implementing FLASH radiotherapy preclinical research, especially those equipped with a similar saturated MIC. An electrochemical oxydifluoroethylation of alkenes involving the anodic oxidative generation of MeCF2 radical has been achieved, which enabled to construct diversified difluoroethylated benzoxazines and lactones in 35–87% yields. Moreover, the developed protocol was also extended to the synthesis of cyclopropyldifluoromethylated benzoxazines. Despite burgeoning evidence for cortical hyperarousal in insomnia disorder, the existing results on electroencephalography spectral features are highly heterogeneous. Phase‐amplitude coupling, which refers to the modulation of the low‐frequency phase to a high‐frequency amplitude, is probably a more sensitive quantitative measure for characterizing abnormal neural oscillations and explaining the therapeutic effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in the treatment of patients with insomnia disorder. Sixty insomnia disorder patients were randomly divided into the active and sham treatment groups to receive 4 weeks of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment. Behavioral assessments, resting‐state electroencephalography recordings, and sleep polysomnography recordings were performed before and after repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment. Forty good sleeper controls underwent the same assessment. We demonstrated that phase‐amplitude coupling values in the frontal and temporal lobes were weaker in Insomnia disorder patients than in those with good sleeper controls at baseline and that phase‐amplitude coupling values near the intervention area were significantly enhanced after active repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment. Furthermore, the enhancement of phase‐amplitude coupling values was significantly correlated with the improvement of sleep quality. This study revealed the potential of phase‐amplitude coupling in assessing the severity of insomnia disorder and the efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment, providing new insights on the abnormal physiological mechanisms and future treatments for insomnia disorder. Plasmonic chirality of metamolecules attracts increasing attention because of the tunable circular dichroism (CD) and near‐field enhancement for chiral molecule detection. Although various mechanisms have been proposed to explain the plasmonic CD, the quantitative analysis of particles with sub‐wavelength dimensions remains to be refined. Unlike biomolecules and small particles for which only absorption effects are considered, both multipolar scattering and absorption of sub‐wavelength metamolecules need to be analyzed. Here, the extinction and CD of chiral metamolecules are experimentally measured, and the contribution of excited multipole moments is theoretically investigated via combining multipole scattering and optical theorem. It is found that for the low‐order resonance mode, the absorption dominates the CD signal. While for high‐order resonance modes, both scattering and absorption significantly influence the CD, and the high‐order electric quadrupole moment that is commonly ignored plays a crucial role. Moreover, the intrinsic mechanism of the chiral response is also intuitively explained with linear polarization analysis. The mechanism proposed here is not only applicable for biomolecules and tiny particles with low‐order resonance modes but also works well for sub‐wavelength particles with high‐order modes, where conventional mixed electric and magnetic polarizability mechanisms usually do not work very well. Organizational researchers and practitioners have shown increasing interest in how newcomer proactivity contributes to socialization. This meta‐analysis synthesizes the existing empirical research that examines the relationships between frequently performed newcomer proactive behaviours (sensemaking, relationship building, positive framing and job change negotiation) and proximal and distal socialization outcomes. Proximal outcomes include role clarity, task mastery and social integration; distal outcomes include job performance, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention. Based on 45 independent samples (N = 11,508), proactive behaviours were found to be generally beneficial for newcomer socialization. Relative weight analyses identified positive framing as the strongest predictor of five of the seven reviewed outcomes while relationship building accounted for the greatest part of the variance in social integration. Job change negotiation was the weakest predictor of socialization outcomes. The study also explored the impact of boundary conditions, including culture, study design and sample type, on the magnitude of these effects. Aim: To investigate the potential causal relationship between non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and complications in type 1 diabetes (T1D) and type 2 diabetes (T2D). Materials and Methods: Two‐sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was conducted to appraise after controlling for the confounding factors. Genetic instrument variables for NAFLD surrogated by chronically elevated serum alanine transferase were derived from a recent genome‐wide association study. Diabetes‐related complications, including diabetic ketoacidosis, nephropathy and retinopathy, were included as outcomes. Four complementary MR methods were used to test reliability. Results: Genetically instrumented NAFLD showed a suggestive causal association with ketoacidosis in T1D (odds ratio [OR]: 1.574; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.076, 2.302; P =.019; false discovery rate [FDR] = 0.096) and a significant causal association with early‐stage kidney disease in T1D (OR: 1.249; 95% CI: 1.089, 1.432; P = 1.457 × 10−3, FDR = 0.015). Sensitivity analysis indicated low heterogeneity, low pleiotropy and high reliability of the causal estimates. However, the MR analyses failed to show a causal association between NAFLD and T1D retinopathy, T2D ketoacidosis, nephropathy and retinopathy. Conclusions: This study supports a causal effect of genetically driven chronic serum alanine aminotransferase‐associated NAFLD on early‐stage kidney disease in T1D and a suggestive causal effect on ketoacidosis in T1D. However, MR studies did not provide enough evidence to suggest that NAFLD independently increases the risk of retinopathy in T1D and of ketoacidosis, nephropathy and retinopathy in T2D. Over the past few years, ratiometric fluorescent nanoprobes have garnered substantial interest because of their self‐calibration characteristics. This research developed a ratiometric fluorescent sensor to detect phosphate. Through encapsulating luminescent materials, gold nanoclusters (AuNCs) and carbon dots (CDs) into a zeolitic imidazolate framework‐8 (ZIF‐8), the fluorescence signal of AuNCs was enhanced, while that of CDs was suppressed. After phosphate was added, it could decompose ZIF‐8, and AuNCs and CDs were released, which weakened the fluorescence signal of the AuNCs while restoring that of the CDs. Thereby, this makes CDs/AuNCs@ZIF‐8 a potential fluorescent sensor for phosphate determination. The ratiometric sensor had facile synthesis, good selectivity, and a low detection limit. The composite re‐entrant honeycomb structures were fabricated by hot pressing and bonding processes in this article. The bending responses of composite re‐entrant honeycomb structure under three‐point bending load were studied experimentally. The bending deformation, failure process and failure load were analyzed and discussed. The influence of wall thickness gradient form which were less reported on the bending behaviors of composite re‐entrant honeycomb structures was investigated. The gradient distributions included positive gradient, negative gradient and homogeneous structures. The experimental results indicated that the wall thickness gradient design influenced the bending failure modes of composite re‐entrant honeycomb structures, and the negative gradient honeycomb structure mainly exhibited the whole bending deformation under three‐point bending loading. The influence of the relative densities on the bending behaviors of composite re‐entrant honeycomb structures was also studied. Blood oxygenation level‐dependent (BOLD) signals in the white matter (WM) have been demonstrated to encode neural activities by showing structure‐specific temporal correlations during resting‐state and task‐specific imaging of fiber pathways with various degrees of correlations in strength and time delay. Previous neuroimaging studies have shown state‐dependent functional connectivity and regional amplitude of signal fluctuations in brain gray matter across wakefulness and nonrapid eye movement (NREM) sleep cycles. However, the functional characteristics of WM during sleep remain unknown. Using simultaneous electroencephalography and functional magnetic resonance imaging data during wakefulness and NREM sleep collected from 66 healthy participants, we constructed 10 stable WM functional networks using clustering analysis. Functional connectivity between these WM functional networks and regional amplitude of WM signal fluctuations across multiple low‐frequency bands were evaluated. In general, decreased WM functional connectivity between superficial and middle layer WM functional networks was observed from wakefulness to sleep. In addition, functional connectivity between the deep and cerebellar networks was higher during light sleep and lower during both wakefulness and deep sleep. The regional fluctuation amplitude was always higher during light sleep and lower during deep sleep. Importantly, slow‐wave activity during deep sleep negatively correlated with functional connectivity between WM functional networks but positively correlated with fluctuation strength in the WM. These observations provide direct physiological evidence that neural activities in the WM are modulated by the sleep–wake cycle. NiFe‐based hydroxides are considered as promising nonprecious catalysts for water oxidation due to their low cost and easy preparation. However, the rational design of NiFe‐based electrocatalysts remains a great challenge to address the sluggish reaction kinetics and severe deactivation problems for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Here, the authors report a facile approach to fabricate an amorphous Ce‐doped NiFe hydroxide catalyst, which enables high activity and outstanding stability toward OER in alkaline media. The overpotential of electrodeposited amorphous Ce‐doped NiFe is only 195 mV at 10 mA cm−2. Meanwhile, the durability of the amorphous Ce‐doped NiFe is maintained for 300 h at 100 mA cm−2. The comprehensive characterization results reveal that the improved electrochemical performance of the amorphous Ce‐doped NiFe catalyst is originated from the favorable oxidation transition of active sites enabled by Ce‐doping. Heat carried by deep fluid might greatly affect hydrocarbon generation and pore space in shale. Dyke intrusion carrying high levels of heat may be a means by which to explore the influence of deep fluid on shale reservoirs. This study evaluates hydrocarbon generation and analyzed the evolution of shale storage space in the third member of the Xiamaling Formation in the Zhaojiashan section, Hebei Province, based on experimental data such as TOC, SEM, VRo, low‐temperature N2 adsorption and high‐pressure mercury injection. The results show that the dyke intrusion reduced the shale TOC content drastically—by up to 77%—and also induced instantaneous hydrocarbon generation over a range about 1.4 times the thickness of the intrusion. Furthermore, the dyke intrusion might transform organic pores in surrounding shales into inorganic pores. There were two shale porosity peaks: one appeared when VRo = 2.0%, caused by the increase of organic pores as thermal maturity increased, the other occurred when the VRo value was between 3% and 4%, caused by the increase of inorganic mineral pores. It can be concluded that dyke intrusion can be an effective tool with which to study how deep fluid affects instantaneous hydrocarbon generation and pore space in shale. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Based on the design concept of functionally graded materials, the composite gradient double‐arrow auxetic structures were designed and fabricated. The thickness of core layers demonstrates an increasing trend for positive gradient structure, while a decreasing trend for negative gradient structure. The thickness of core layers keeps constant for homogeneous structure. The dynamic response and failure modes of the double‐arrow auxetic structure with different gradient distributions of wall thickness were obtained by foam projectile impact experiments. The influence of the gradient distribution of core wall thickness on the impact resistance of composite double‐arrow auxetic structures under local impact load was investigated. The results demonstrated that the gradient distribution of core wall thickness has an important influence on the dynamic response and failure modes of the structure. The negative gradient auxetic structure revealed more excellent impact resistance compared with the positive gradient auxetic structure. In addition, the response of the gradient double‐arrow auxetic structure under local impact load was simulated by ABAQUS/Explicit, and the simulation results were in good agreement with the experimental results. Combined with the experimental and numerical simulation results, it was found that the negative gradient distribution of core wall thickness had an obvious improvement on the impact resistance of composite double‐arrow auxetic structure under local impact load. Background: In experimental animal models, implantation location might influence the heterogeneity and overall development of the tumor, leading to an interpretation bias. Purpose To investigate the effects of implantation location in experimental tumor model using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and pathological findings. Study Type: Prospective. Subjects: Forty‐five breast cancer‐bearing mice underwent orthotopic (N = 15) and heterotopic (intrahepatic [N = 15] and subcutaneous [N = 15]) implantation. Field Strength/Sequence: Sequences including: T1‐weighted turbo spin echo sequence, T2‐weighted blade sequence, diffusion‐weighted imaging, pre‐ and post‐contrast T1 mapping, multi‐echo T2 mapping at 3.0 T. Assessment MRI was performed at 7, 14, and 21 days after implantation. Native T1, post‐contrast T1, T2, and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of tumors, the tumor volume and necrosis volume within tumor were obtained. Lymphocyte cells from H&E staining, Ki67‐positive, and CD31‐positive cells from immunohistochemistry were determined. Statistical Tests: One‐way analysis of variance and Spearman's rank correlation were performed. P value <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The tumor volume (intrahepatic vs. orthotopic vs. subcutaneous: 587.50 ± 77.62 mm3 vs. 814.00 ± 43.85 mm3 vs. 956.13 ± 119.22 mm3), necrosis volume within tumor (89.10 ± 26.60 mm3 vs. 292.41 ± 57.92 mm3 vs. 179.91 ± 31.73 mm3, respectively), ADC at day 21 (543.41 ± 42.28 vs. 542.92 ± 99.67 vs. 369.83 ± 42.90, respectively), and post‐contrast T1 at all timepoints (day 7: 442.00 ± 11.52 vs. 435.00 ± 22.90 vs. 394.33 ± 29.95; day 14: 459.00 ± 26.11 vs. 436.83 ± 26.01 vs. 377.00 ± 27.83; day 21: 463.50 ± 23.49 vs. 458.00 ± 34.28 vs. 375.00 ± 30.55) were significantly different between three groups. Necrosis volumes of subcutaneous and intrahepatic tumors were significantly lower than those of orthotopic tumors. The CD31‐positive rate in the intrahepatic implantation was significantly higher than in orthotopic and subcutaneous groups. Necrosis volume (r = −0.71), ADC (r = −0.85), and post‐contrast T1 (r = −0.75) were strongly correlated with vascular invasion index. Background: Late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) is absent in many patients with suspected myocarditis and preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LV‐EF), which poses difficulties in diagnosis and risk stratification. Purpose To investigate the diagnostic and prognostic value of ventricular myocardial strain in patients with suspected myocarditis, preserved LV‐EF, and negative Lake Louis Criteria (LLC) by comparing the findings in LGE negative and LGE positive patients. Study Type: Retrospective. Population A total of 108 patients with clinically suspected myocarditis who did not satisfy LLC were divided into LGE negative (N = 65) and LGE positive (N = 43) groups. A control group consisted of 50 healthy volunteers. Field Strength/Sequence: Steady‐state free precession cine and phase‐sensitive inversion recovery segmented gradient echo LGE sequences at 3.0 T. Assessment Myocardial strain of the ventricles was evaluated by feature tracking, major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) were assessed during follow‐up since the date of magnetic resonance examination. Statistical Tests: Independent‐samples t test, Mann–Whitney U test, receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, and Cox proportional hazard regression were performed. A P‐value <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Cardiac function and myocardial deformability were impaired in all patients relative to controls. Left ventricular‐global radial (LV‐GRS), circumferential (LV‐GCS), and longitudinal (LV‐GLS) strain had diagnostic value, even in LGE negative patients (sensitivity = 0.446, 0.523, and 0.662; specificity = 0.92, 0.80, and 0.64; AUC = 0.685, 0.675, and 0.648, respectively). After a median follow‐up of 530.5 (interquartile range: 168.5–969.25) days, MACE occurred in 18 (16.67%) patients. Right ventricular GLS showed prognostic value in all patients and in LGE negative patients, both in univariable analysis (hazard ratio [HR] 1.049, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.001–1.099 and HR 1.068, 95% CI 1.011–1.127, respectively) and in multivariable Cox survival analysis. LV‐GLS was associated with MACE in LGE positive patients in multivariable Cox survival analysis. Objectives: This study investigated the role of circular RNAs (circRNAs) in the pathogenesis of ameloblastoma (AB), identifying potential novel targets for future targeted therapy. Materials and Methods: CircRNA and microRNA (miRNA) profiling in AB were built with microarrays. Six novel circRNAs were validated, circ‐miRNA networks were delineated. Hsa‐miR‐608 was filtered over cross‐comparison between database screening, miRNA microarray and validated. Circ‐miRNA binding sponge was validated via luciferase reporter assay. Downstream mRNAs were screened. Regulation between miRNAs and mRNAs was confirmed in vitro. Gene interaction networks and circRNA–miRNA–mRNA interaction pathway enrichment analyses were established. Results: Six differentially expressed circRNAs were selected and validated. According to miRNAs and pathways predicted, six correlated miRNAs were selected, hsa‐miR‐608 was filtered and validated. The hsa_circ_0089153/hsa‐miR‐608 binding sponge was validated. Downstream gene interaction networks showed that EGFR and p53 had the strongest co‐expression. In vitro transfection results confirmed the suppressive function of miR‐608 and EGFR p53. Hsa_circ_0089153/hsa‐miR‐608/EGFR p53 interaction pathway enrichment analysis confirmed functions mainly enriched in MAPK and related signaling pathways regulating AB progression. Conclusions: Six novel circRNAs were identified. Hsa_circ_0089153/hsa‐miR‐608 sponging was validated, hsa‐miR‐608 downregulated EGFR and p53, which might further regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and cell cycle processes via the MAPK signaling pathway. The influences of elevated and cryogenic temperature on the quasi‐static indentation responses and damage mechanism for composite Y‐type cores sandwich structure were studied by experiments in present paper. The quasi‐static indentation experiments were performed to explore the indentation performances for composite Y‐type cores sandwich structures under eight different temperature conditions. The influences of the testing environment temperature on the typical indentation force‐deformation curves, damage patterns and indentation failure load were investigated and analyzed. The experimental results demonstrated that the testing environment temperature made an important influence on the deformation mechanism, typical force‐deformation curves and failure load. Fiber fracture of the front panel was found when the testing environment temperature was below the glass transition temperature, while the fiber microbuckling of the front panel was also revealed when the testing environment temperature was above the glass transition temperature. The failure load increased with the decreasing of the testing environment temperature at cryogenic temperature. Nevertheless, at elevated temperature, the failure load decreased with the increasing of the testing environment temperature attributing to the weakening of the fiber‐matrix interface performances. Background: Ameloblastoma (AB) is a common epithelial odontogenic tumor. The Wnt/β‐catenin pathway has been found to be related to AB invasion. Methods: The alteration expression of microRNAs (miRNAs) and messenger RNAs (mRNAs) was performed by miRNA and mRNA microarray analysis and validated by quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction (RT‐PCR). The effects of miR‐29a‐3p on migration and invasion in AB cells were evaluated by a transwell assay. Bioinformatic prediction was conducted using the miRSystem and validated by quantitative RT‐PCR, western blot, and a luciferase reporter assay. Results: miR‐29a‐3p was overexpressed in AB tissues, which promoted the migration and invasion of AB cells in vitro. Catenin beta interacting protein 1 (CTNNBIP1), a negative regulator of the Wnt/β‐catenin pathway, was predicted to be a target of miR‐29a‐3p. miR‐29a‐3p inhibited the expression of CTNNBIP1 and promoted the expression of the downstream molecules of the Wnt/β‐catenin pathway. The temperature has an important effect on mechanical behaviors of composite Y‐frame cores sandwich structure. Therefore, the in‐plane compressive behaviors of this structure should be thoroughly studied before it is used in engineering structures. The in‐plane compressive tests for Y‐frame cores sandwich structure were carried out within the temperature ranged from −70°C to 200°C. The load–deformation curves, deformation modes, and failure load of sandwich structure at various temperatures were compared and discussed. The results revealed that the deformation modes, load–deformation curves, and failure load were closely associated with the testing temperature. The cryogenic temperature caused the increasing of the failure load of Y‐frame cores sandwich structure. However, the high temperature caused the degradation of the failure load of Y‐frame cores sandwich structure. The in‐plane compressive failure load increased from 11.78 to 14.82 kN as the testing temperature fell from 20°C to −70°C while the in‐plane compressive failure load decreased from 11.78 to 2.06 kN as the testing temperature increased from 20°C to 200°C. Animal experiments indicate that the hypothalamus plays an essential role in regulating the sleep–wake cycle. A recent neuroimaging study conducted under resting wakefulness conditions suggested the presence of a wake‐promoting region and a sleep‐promoting region in the human posterior hypothalamus and anterior hypothalamus, respectively, and interpreted their anticorrelated organization in resting‐state functional networks as evidence for their opposing roles in sleep–wake regulation. However, whether and how the functional networks of the two hypothalamic regions reorganize according to their wake‐ or sleep‐promoting roles during sleep are unclear. Here, we constructed functional networks of the posterior and anterior hypothalamus during wakefulness and nonrapid eye movement (NREM) sleep using simultaneous electroencephalography and functional magnetic resonance imaging data collected from 62 healthy participants. The functional networks of the posterior and anterior hypothalamus exhibited inversely correlated organizations during both wakefulness and NREM sleep. The connectivity strength of the posterior hypothalamic functional network was stronger during wakefulness than during stable sleep. From wakefulness to sleep, the anterior cingulate gyrus, paracingulate gyrus, insular cortex, and fontal operculum cortex showed decreased positive connectivity, while the precentral gyrus and postcentral gyrus showed decreased negative connectivity with the posterior hypothalamus. Additionally, the insular cortex and frontal operculum cortex showed negative connectivity during wakefulness and positive connectivity during sleep with the anterior hypothalamus, exhibiting an increasing trend. Protein post‐translational modifications (PTMs) of histones are ubiquitous regulatory mechanisms involved in many biological processes, including replication, transcription, DNA damage repair and ontogenesis. Recently, many short‐chain acylation histone modifications have been identified by mass spectrometry (MS). Lysine succinylation (Ksuc or Ksucc) is a newly identified histone PTM that changes the chemical environment of histones and is similar to other acylation modifications; lysine succinylation appears to accumulate at transcriptional start sites and to correlate with gene expression. Although numerous studies are ongoing, there is a lack of reviews on the Ksuc of histones. Here, we review lysine succinylation sites on histones, including the chemical characteristics and the mechanism by which lysine succinylation influences nucleosomal structure, chromatin dynamics and several diseases and then discuss lysine succinylation regulation to identify theoretical and experimental proof of Ksuc on histones and in diseases to inspire further research into histone lysine succinylation as a target of disease treatment in the future. Insomnia disorder is the most common sleep disorder and has drawn increasing attention. Many studies have shown that hyperarousal plays a key role in the pathophysiology of insomnia disorder. However, the specific brain mechanisms underlying insomnia disorder remain unclear. To elucidate the neuropathophysiology of insomnia disorder, we investigated the brain functional networks of patients with insomnia disorder and healthy controls across the sleep–wake cycle. EEG‐fMRI data from 33 patients with insomnia disorder and 31 well‐matched healthy controls during wakefulness and nonrapid eye movement sleep, including N1, N2 and N3 stages, were analyzed. A medial and anterior thalamic region was selected as the seed considering its role in sleep–wake regulation. The functional connectivity between the thalamic seed and voxels across the brain was calculated. ANOVA with factors "group" and "stage" was performed on thalamus‐based functional connectivity. Correlations between the misperception index and altered functional connectivity were explored. A group‐by‐stage interaction was observed at widespread cortical regions. Regarding the main effect of group, patients with insomnia disorder demonstrated decreased thalamic connectivity with the left amygdala, parahippocampal gyrus, putamen, pallidum and hippocampus across wakefulness and all three nonrapid eye movement sleep stages. The thalamic connectivity in the subcortical cluster and the right temporal cluster in N1 was significantly correlated with the misperception index. This study demonstrated the brain functional basis in insomnia disorder and illustrated its relationship with sleep misperception, shedding new light on the brain mechanisms of insomnia disorder and indicating potential therapeutic targets for its treatment. Aims: Pre‐existing hyperglycemia (HG) aggravates the breakdown of blood–brain barrier (BBB) and increases the risk of hemorrhagic transformation (HT) after acute ischemic stroke in both animal models and patients. To date, HG‐induced ultrastructural changes of brain microvascular endothelial cells (BMECs) and the mechanisms underlying HG‐enhanced HT after ischemic stroke are poorly understood. Methods: We used a mouse model of mild brain ischemia/reperfusion to investigate HG‐induced ultrastructural changes of BMECs that contribute to the impairment of BBB integrity after stroke. Adult male mice received systemic glucose administration 15 min before middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) for 20 min. Ultrastructural characteristics of BMECs were evaluated using two‐dimensional and three‐dimensional electron microscopy and quantitatively analyzed. Results: Mice with acute HG had exacerbated BBB disruption and larger brain infarcts compared to mice with normoglycemia (NG) after MCAO and 4 h of reperfusion, as assessed by brain extravasation of the Evans blue dye and microtubule‐associated protein 2 immunostaining. Electron microscopy further revealed that HG mice had more endothelial vesicles in the striatal neurovascular unit than NG mice, which may account for their deterioration of BBB impairment. In contrast with enhanced endothelial transcytosis, paracellular tight junction ultrastructure was not disrupted after this mild ischemia/reperfusion insult or altered upon HG. Consistent with the observed increase of endothelial vesicles, transcytosis‐related proteins caveolin‐1, clathrin, and hypoxia‐inducible factor (HIF)‐1α were upregulated by HG after MCAO and reperfusion. Conclusion: Our study provides solid structural evidence to understand the role of endothelial transcytosis in HG‐elicited BBB hyperpermeability. An improved model for the motion dynamics of a metallic particle located in the non‐uniform electric field area in the gas insulated system is proposed. To represent the special area, a diverging conducting electrode is used in this study. Based on the fluid mechanics theory, the forces imposed on metallic particle are first developed. The motion process is then divided into two modes, i.e. the particle rolls on the electrode surface and moves in the gap. The collision and reflection processes between the particle and the electrode are crucial to the motion, and they are fully considered in the proposed model. The trajectory of the particle under different voltages is obtained. The evolution of metallic particle is divided into four stages, and it is featured by four quantities, i.e. the critical jumping point, the minimum horizontal position, the falling point, and the motion time. The characteristics for each stage are analysed, and the sensitivity analysis of the quantities are performed. Exosome‐derived miRNAs are regarded as biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of many human cancers. However, its function in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remains unclear. In this study, differentially expressed miRNAs from urinal exosomes were identified using next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and verified using urine samples of ccRCC patients and healthy donors. Then, the exosomes were analysed in early‐stage ccRCC patients, healthy individuals and patients suffering from other urinary system cancers. Thereafter, the target gene of the miRNA was detected. Its biological function was investigated in vitro and in vivo. The results showed that miR‐30c‐5p could be amplified in a stable manner. Its expression pattern was significantly different only between ccRCC patients and healthy control individuals, but not compared with that of other urinary system cancers, which indicated its specificity for ccRCC. Additionally, the overexpression of miR‐30c‐5p inhibited ccRCC progression in vitro and in vivo. Heat‐shock protein 5 (HSPA5) was found to be a direct target gene of miR‐30c‐5p. The depletion of HSPA5 caused by miR‐30c‐5p inhibition reversed the promoting effect of ccRCC growth. In conclusion, urinary exosomal miR‐30c‐5p acts as a potential diagnostic biomarker of early‐stage ccRCC and may be able to modulate the expression of HSPA5, which is correlated with the progression of ccRCC. Here, the authors discuss the recovery of signals from under‐sampled data in which signals are nearly block sparse via a truncated ℓ2/ℓ1 method with redundant dictionaries. The authors show that the obtained results are better than the previous recovery result in the existence of noise. Furthermore, the authors conduct an alternating direction method of multipliers algorithm to solve the signals recovery problem. Aim The aim of the current study was to characterize the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of cisatracurium in patients with severe mitral valve regurgitation (MR) during the anaesthetic induction period. Methods Thirty patients in the clinical trial were divided into two groups: the MR group ( n = 15) and the control group ( n = 15). Arterial blood samples were obtained before (time 0) and at 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15 and 20 min after intravenous injection of 0.15 mg kg−1 cisatracurium. The degree of neuromuscular block was measured by train of four (TOF) testing. The concentration of cisatracurium in the plasma was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography. A conventional two-compartment model and integrated PK/PD model were applied to PK and PD data analysis, respectively. Results The results of PK model fitting demonstrated that severe MR reduced the distribution rate of cisatracurium from the central to peripheral compartment, resulting in a higher concentration of the drug in the plasma. The time to the maximal neuromuscular blocking effect of cisatracurium was delayed in the MR group (2.08 min in the control group vs. 4.12 min in the MR group). The PK/PD model indicated that the distribution rate of cisatracurium from the blood to the effect compartment was decreased in the MR group. Conclusions The present study suggested that the PK and PD of cisatracurium were significantly altered in patients with severe MR. The study has the potential to improve the safety of anaesthetic induction in patients with severe MR through accurate prediction of the PD responses of cisatracurium using the established PK/PD model. Background: To evaluate the feasibility and diagnostic performance of flow-sensitive dephasing (FSD)-prepared steady-state free precession (SSFP) MR angiography (MRA) for imaging infragenual arteries at 3.0T, with contrast enhanced MR angiography (CE MRA) as reference.Methods: Twenty consecutive patients with suspicion of lower extremity arterial disease undergoing routine CE MRA were recruited. FSD MRA was performed at calf before CE MRA. Image quality and stenosis degree of infragenual arteries from both techniques were independently evaluated and compared. Six patients in this study underwent DSA examination.Results: Three undiagnostic segments were excluded with severe venous contamination in CE MRA. A total of 197 calf arterial segments images were analyzed. No significant difference existed in the relative signal intensity (rSI) of arterial segments between FSD MRA and CE MRA techniques (0.92 ± 0.09 versus 0.93 ± 0.05; P = 0.207). However, the subjective image quality score was slightly higher in FSD MRA (3.66 ± 0.81 versus 3.49 ± 0.87; P = 0.050). With CE MRA images as reference standard, slight overestimation existed in FSD MRA (2.19 ± 1.24 versus 2.09 ± 1.18; P = 0.019), with total agreement of 84.3% on the basis of all arterial segments. The sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value, and positive predictive value of FSD MRA was 96.4%, 93.0%, 98.5%, and 84.1%. No significant difference in the stenosis degree score was detected between MRA (FSD MRA and CE MRA) and DSA (P > 0.05).Conclusion: FSD MRA performed on at 3.0T without the use of contrast medium provides diagnostic images allowing for arterial stenosis assessment of calf arteries that was highly comparable with CE MRA. Despite the extensive research on room temperature phosphorescent (RTP) materials, it remains a great challenge to further improve the photophysical properties of RTP materials. In this study, the RTP emission of guest molecule is significantly enhanced by constructing binary matrices containing cyanuric acid (CA) and amino‐containing compounds. Systematic studies show that the strong interaction between the two components of binary matrix induced variations in the guest molecular configuration and excited state electron distribution, thus facilitating the production of more triplet excitons. Furthermore, the binary matrix also exhibits stronger domain‐limiting effect compared to the CA mono‐matrix, effectively inhibits the energy loss of triplet excitons due to quenching and non‐radiative transitions. The prepared binary matrix RTP materials present ultralong phosphorescence lifetime and high phosphorescence quantum yield (up to 3.21 s and 7.31%, respectively), and even achieve bright RTP emission in a variety of organic solvents and aqueous media. Moreover, the RTP emission intensity of the best binary matrix composite can reach more than 28 times that of the CA mono‐matrix composite, and the RTP lifetime can be extended by 1.51 s.
