Hydrogel sensors are widely utilized in soft robotics and tissue engineering due to their excellent mechanical properties and biocompatibility. However, in high‐water environments, traditional hydrogels can experience significant swelling, leading to decreased mechanical and electrical performance, potentially losing shape, and sensing capabilities. This study addresses these challenges by leveraging the Hofmeister effect, coupled with directional freezing and salting‐out techniques, to develop a layered, high‐strength, tough, and antiswelling PVA/MXene hydrogel. In particular, the salting‐out process enhances the self‐entanglement of PVA, resulting in an S‐PM hydrogel with a tensile strength of up to 2.87 MPa. Furthermore, the S‐PM hydrogel retains its structure and strength after 7 d of swelling, with only a 6% change in resistance. Importantly, its sensing performance is improved postswelling, a capability rarely achievable in traditional hydrogels. Moreover, the S‐PM hydrogel demonstrates faster response times and more stable resistance change rates in underwater tests, making it crucial for long‐term continuous monitoring in challenging aquatic environments, ensuring sustained operation and monitoring. Spatial information and dynamic locomotor behaviours are equally important for achieving locomotor goals during spatial navigation. However, it remains unclear how spatial and locomotor information is integrated during the processing of self‐initiated spatial navigation. Anatomically, the retrosplenial cortex (RSC) has reciprocal connections with brain regions related to spatial processing, including the hippocampus and para‐hippocampus, and also receives inputs from the secondary motor cortex. In addition, RSC is functionally associated with allocentric and egocentric spatial targets and head‐turning. So, RSC may be a critical region for integrating spatial and locomotor information. In this study, we first examined the role of RSC in spatial navigation using the Morris water maze and found that mice with inactivated RSC took a longer time and distance to reach their destination. Then, by imaging neuronal activity in freely behaving mice within two open fields of different sizes, we identified a large proportion of border cells, head‐turning cells and locomotor speed cells in the superficial layer of RSC. Interestingly, some RSC neurons exhibited conjunctive coding for both spatial and locomotor signals. Furthermore, these conjunctive neurons showed higher prediction accuracy compared with simple spatial or locomotor neurons in special navigator scenes using the border, turning and positive‐speed conjunctive cells. Our study reveals that the RSC is an important conjunctive brain region that processes spatial and locomotor information during spatial navigation. Self‐trapped excitons (STEs) of lead‐free perovskites have aroused tremendous interest in remote optical thermometry due to strong exciton–phonon coupling and large Stokes shifts. Herein, a bright multimodal and multiplexed optical thermometer is constructed with high sensitivity (Sr) and self‐calibrating ability based on Cs2NaInCl6:Er3+ double perovskite, allowing for fast and simplified reading via mobile devices. Intriguingly, Er3+ doping not only shows the characteristic green emissions but also introduces nanoelectronic domains through a new localized valance band maximum and breaks the symmetry of In3+ site, which facilitates the generation of more STEs. The temperature‐sensitive blue emission of STEs and temperature‐insensitive green emission of Er3+ endow multimodal optical thermometry including time‐resolved and ratiometric readout schemes with a maximum Sr of 3.8% K−1, where an upconversion primary thermometry serves as a reference to calibrate other modes. Meanwhile, the designed thermometers show robust photostability, repeatability, and structural stability for long‐time working and storage. In addition, the remarkable thermochromic phenomenon from blue to green enables a quick color‐multiplexed thermography on a smartphone, which is utilized to capture real‐time 2D thermal imaging of microelectronic devices. Herein, hierarchically structured microgrid frameworks of Co3O4 and carbon composite deposited on reduced graphene oxide (Co3O4@C/rGO) are demonstrated through the three‐dimensioinal (3D) printing method, where the porous structure is controllable and the height and width are scalable, for dendrite‐free Na metal deposition. The sodiophilicity, facile Na metal deposition kinetics, and NaF‐rich solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) formation of cubic Co3O4 phase are confirmed by combined spectroscopic and computational analyses. Moreover, the uniform and reversible Na plating/stripping process on 3D‐printed Co3O4@C/rGO host is monitored in real time using in situ transmission electron and optical microscopies. In symmetric cells, the 3D printed Co3O4@C/rGO electrode achieves a long‐term stability over 3950 at 1 mA cm−2 and 1 mAh cm−2 with a superior Coulombic efficiency (CE) of 99.87% as well as 120 h even at 20 mA cm−2 and 20 mAh cm−2, far exceeding the previously reported carbon‐based hosts for Na metal anodes. Consequently, the full cells of 3D‐printed Na@Co3O4@C/rGO anode with 3D‐printed Na3V2(PO4)3@C‐rGO cathode (≈15.7 mg cm−2) deliver the high specific capacity of 97.97 mAh g−1 after 500 cycles with a high CE of 99.89% at 0.5 C, demonstrating the real operation of flexible Na metal batteries. Summary: Maize silk is a specialized type of stigma, covered with numerous papillae for pollen grain capture. However, the developmental process of stigmatic papillae and the underlying regulatory mechanisms have remained largely unknown.Here, we combined the cytological, genetic and molecular studies to demonstrate that three homologous genes ZmSPL10, ZmSPL14 and ZmSPL26 play a central role in promoting stigmatic papilla formation in maize.We show that their triple knockout mutants are nearly complete lack of stigmatic papilla, resulting in a severe reduction in kernel setting. Cellular examination reveals that stigmatic papilla is developed from a precursor cell, which is the smaller daughter cell resulting from asymmetric cell division of a silk epidermal cell. In situ hybridization shows that ZmSPL10, ZmSPL14 and their target genes SPI1, ZmPIN1b, ZmARF28 and ZmWOX3A are preferentially expressed in the precursor cells of stigmatic papillae. Moreover, ZmSPL10, ZmSPL14 and ZmSPL26 directly bind to the promoters of SPI1, ZmPIN1b, ZmARF28 and ZmWOX3A and promote their expression. Further, Zmwox3a knockout mutants display severe defects in stigmatic papilla formation and reduced seed setting.Collectively, our results demonstrate that ZmSPL10, ZmSPL14 and ZmSPL26 act together to promote stigmatic papilla development through regulating auxin signaling and ZmWOX3A expression. BACKGROUND: The objective of this investigation was to examine the impact of enzymatic hydrolysis of arabinoxylan (AX) on frozen dough quality under subfreezing conditions. The dough was subjected to freezing at −40 °C for 2 h and then stored at −9, −12, and −18 °C for 15 days. The water loss, freezable water content, water migration, and microstructure of the dough were measured. RESULTS: The dough containing 0.8% cellulase enzymatically hydrolyzed AX (CAX) required the shortest duration when traversing the maximum ice‐crystal formation zone (6.5 min). The dough with xylanase enzymatically hydrolyzed AX (XAX) demonstrated a faster freezing rate than the dough with CAX. The inclusion of both XAX and CAX in the dough resulted in the lowest freezable water loss and reduced freezable water content and free‐water content levels, whereas the inclusion of xylanase‐cellulase combined with enzymatically hydrolyzed AX resulted in higher free‐water content levels. The textural properties of the subfreezing temperature dough were not significantly different from the dough stored at −18 °C and sometimes even approached or surpassed the quality observed in the control group rather than the dough stored at −18 °C. In addition, the gluten network structure remains well preserved in XAX‐ and CAX‐containing doughs with minimal starch damage. Aims: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia. Heart failure (HF) is a disease caused by heart dysfunction. The prevalence of AF and HF were progressively increasing over time. The co‐existence of AF and HF presents a significant therapeutic challenge. In order to provide new ideas for the diagnosis of AF and HF, it is necessary to carry out biomarker related studies. Methods and results: The training set and validation set data of AF and HF patient samples were downloaded from the GEO database, 'limma' was used to compare the differences in gene expression levels between the disease group and the normal group to screen for differentially expressed genes (DEGs). Weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA) identified the modules with the highest positive correlation with AF and HF. Functional enrichment and PPI network construction of key genes were carried out. Biomarkers were screened by machine learning. The infiltration of immune cells in AF and HF groups was evaluated by R‐packet 'CIBERSORT'. The miRNA network was constructed and potential therapeutic agents for biomarker genes were predicted through the drugbank database. Through WGCNA analysis, it was found that the modules most positively correlated with AF and HF were MEturquoise (r = 0.21, P value = 0.09) and MEbrown (r = 0.62, P value = 8e‐12), respectively. We screened 25 genes that were highly correlated with both AF and HF. Lasso regression analysis results showed 7 and 20 core genes in AF and HF groups, respectively. The top 20 important genes in AF and HF groups were obtained as core genes by RF model analysis. Four biomarkers were obtained after the intersection of core genes in four groups, namely, GLUL, NCF2, S100A12, and SRGN. The diagnostic efficacy of four genes in AF validation sets was good (AUC: GLUL 0.76, NCF2 0.64, S100A12 0.68, and SRGN 0.76), as well as in the HF validation set (AUC: GLUL 0.76, NCF2 0.84, S100A12 0.92, and SRGN 0.68). The highest correlation with neutrophils was observed for GLUL, NCF2, and S100A12, while SRGN exhibited the strongest correlation with T cells CD4 memory resting in the AF group. GLUL, NCF2, S100A12, and SRGN were most associated with neutrophils in the HF group. A total of 101 miRNAs were predicted by four genes, and GLUL, NCF2, and S100A12 predicted a total of 10 potential therapeutic agents. Conclusions: We identified four biological markers that are highly correlated with AF and HF, namely, GLUL, NCF2, S100A12, and SRGN. Nickel oxide (NiOX) has been established as a highly efficient and stable hole‐transporting layer (HTL) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, existing deposition methods for NiOX have been restricted by high‐vacuum processes and fail to address the energy level mismatch at the NiOX/perovskite interface, which has impeded the development of PSCs. Accordingly, we explored the application of NiOX as a hybrid HTL through a sol–gel process, where a NiOX film was pre‐doped with Ag ions, forming a p/p+ homojunction in the NiOX‐based inverted PSCs. This innovative approach offers two synergistic advantages, including the enlargement of the built‐in electric field for facilitating charge separation, optimizing energy level alignment, and charge transfer efficiency at the interface between the perovskite and HTL. Incorporating this hybrid HTL featuring the p/p+ homojunction in the inverted PSCs resulted in a high‐power conversion efficiency (PCE) of up to 19.25%, significantly narrowing the efficiency gap compared to traditional n‐i‐p devices. Furthermore, this innovative strategy for the HTL enhanced the environmental stability to 30 days, maintaining 90% of the initial efficiency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Sodium metal batteries are promising next‐generation energy storage technology by using energy‐dense and affordable Na metal anodes, yet suffering uncontrollable Na dendritic growth issues. Herein, Au nanoparticle@hollow amorphous carbon tube yolk/shell arrays (Au/HCT‐CC) is rationally designed on carbon cloth as a dynamic host. In situ transmission electron microscopy observations reveal a regulated dendrite‐free Na metal plating/stripping within the Au/HCT‐CC host. The self‐confinement of Na metal deposition in the hollow carbon can further stabilize the electrolyte/electrode interface and homogenize Na ion flux, as evidenced by rigorous experimental and theoretical characterizations, thus successfully accommodating the hurdles to Na metal anodes. When cycling in half cells, the Au/HCT‐CC electrodes deliver remarkably high coulombic efficiencies (CEs) of 99.96% over 2200 h at 5 mA cm−2. The high CE of 99.54% is preserved even under harsh cycling conditions of 10 mA cm−2 and 20 mAh cm−2 for 250 cycles. These values rival the state‐of‐the‐art electrochemical performance for Na metal anodes in literature. Finally, the practical feasibility of the new anode is demonstrated by cycling in Na3V2(PO4)3@C||Na‐Au/HCT‐CC full cells over 900 cycles with an extremely low capacity degradation rate of 0.017% per cycle. Lanthanide ions, as dopants, have evoked widespread research interest owing to the rich optical, magnetic, and electrical properties, but their luminescent intensity is always limited by typical concentration quenching. Herein, a holmium‐based double perovskite of Cs2NaHoCl6 is reported, which surprisingly breaks through this barrier and achieves efficient red‐NIR emission by virtue of the large unit cell, low phonon energy, high content of activators, and cross relaxation phenomenon between Ho3+. The heavy Ho3+ also endows the intriguing half‐metallic nature with a down‐spin conducting band and an up‐spin insulating band. After performing ion doping on crystallographic sites of Na+ and Ho3+, the photoluminescence quantum yield of such red‐NIR emitter under 450 nm excitation is dramatically promoted to 82.3%, benefiting from the improved crystal field environment that alleviates the parity forbidden rule and suppresses non‐radiative recombination loss. Furthermore, the heat‐favorable phonon‐assisted population processes enable the robust photostability against thermal quenching. By combining a 450 nm chip, the red‐NIR light‐emitting diodes are fabricated, in which the wide‐coverage NIR emissions are ideally suited for medical light source, night vision, nondestructive examination, and transmission imaging. Infrared (IR) detection is vital for various military and civilian applications. Recent research has highlighted the potential of two‐dimensional (2D) topological semimetals in IR detection due to their distinctive advantages, including van der Waals (vdW) stacking, gapless electronic structure, and Van Hove singularities in the electronic density of states. However, challenges such as large‐scale patterning, poor photoresponsivity, and high dark current of photodetectors based on 2D topological semimetals significantly impede their wider applications in low‐energy photon sensing. Here, we demonstrate the in situ fabrication of PtSe2/Ge Schottky junction by directly depositing 2D PtSe2 films with a vertical layer structure on a Ge substrate with an ultrathin AlOx layer. Due to high quality junction, the photodetector features a broadband response of up to 4.6 μm, along with a high specific detectivity of ~1012 Jones, and operates with remarkable stability in ambient conditions as well. Moreover, the highly integrated device arrays based on PtSe2/AlOx/Ge Schottky junction showcases excellent Mid‐IR (MIR) imaging capability at room temperature. Chalcogenide perovskites are an emerging family of perovskite materials, which possess excellent optoelectronic properties comparable with halide perovskites, avoiding the drawbacks of toxicity and poor stability. Due to the superiorities of strong light absorption, direct bandgaps, excellent carrier transport abilities, high defect tolerance, robust stability, and non‐toxicity, chalcogenide perovskites have been extensively studied as photovoltaic materials. However, the light emitting potential of chalcogenide perovskites is ignored or less explored. In this work, an Eu2+ doping strategy is proposed to activate the light emitting abilities of chalcogenide perovskite. The synthesized SrHfS3:Eu2+ powder exhibits intense red emission of Eu2+ through the relaxation of 4f65d1 to 4f75d0. The strong interband absorption of SrHfS3, as a distinct character of chalcogenide perovskite, harvests the optical energy and funnels it to the luminescent center Eu2+. Besides, SrHfS3:Eu2+ is characterized by superior semiconducting properties, suggesting its strong potential as suitable emitters in light‐emitting diodes. Moreover, the obtained SrHfS3:Eu2+ powder and its luminescence properties remain stable under ultraviolet irradiation, water, and high temperature testing. The above observations open a new frontier for exploring luminescent chalcogenide perovskites, highlighting their great potential in lighting and displays, rather than being limited to photovoltaic devices. The research on the mechanism of coal and gas outburst is still in the hypothesis stage, and exploration of the outburst mechanism fro m an energy perspective often focuses on the calculation of coal rock elastic energy and gas expansion energy. There are some studies on elastic energy and gas expansion energy of coal rock caused by added water during outburst, although hydr aulic measures not only improve the permeability of coal seam, but also increase the water content. For calculating the gas expansion energy, the atmospheric gas desorption characteristic is generally utilized, while the gas desorption is completed on the condition of dropping pressure in outburst, and the expansion energy research, based on that law, inevitably brings about errors, thus affecting the objectivity of the potential research. In this study, uniaxial cyclic loading experiments were carried out on briquette coal samples with water content of 0%, 1%, 2% and 4%, whose elastic energy density was analyzed, in addition to examining how the added water affected the mechanical properties and the elastic energy of coal. The pressure drop gradient of the experiment is set 2.5 –2 MPa, 1.5 –1 MPa, 0.5 MPa‐0 Pa. By stepwise depressurization desorption of coal samples after water injection, the gas expansion energy in different moisture is measured in each pressure drop stage, and the influence of moisture on gas expansion energy is quantitatively explored. Research has shown that the higher the water content, the lower the elastic energy density, while the higher the stress, the greater the elastic energy of coal. The gas expansion energy grows linearly with the increase of adsorption equilibrium pressure and diminishes in negative exponential law with the increasing moisture. Under the experimental conditions, the expansion energy decreases by 7%–9% and the elastic energy by 9.7% on average for every 1% increase in added water, and the influence gradually weakens when the moisture exceeds the critical value. This study innovatively simulates the pressure swing desorption when a coal and gas outburst occurs in the laboratory, confirms the critical moisture that affects the outburst potential, and is a useful exploration in the coal and gas outburst mechanism. Introduction: Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is highly prevalent in patients receiving dialysis. The precise mechanisms underlying PH in hemodialysis (HD) patients have not been adequately addressed. Emerging experimental evidence indicates that circulating fibrocytes may contribute significantly to this process. Methods: We measured the proportion of circulating fibrocytes using flow cytometry analysis and prospectively analyzed patients during HD from February 1, 2017, to February 1, 2022. Then we investigated correlations between circulating fibrocytes, inflammation cytokines, PH, and their affective factors that predict the prognosis of HD patients. Results: The cohort included 192 patients. During a follow‐up of 5 years, we registered 66 all‐cause deaths, and 11 patients received kidney transplantation. The incidence of PH among HD patients was 30.9%. We found that the circulating fibrocyte level significantly correlated with pulmonary arterial systolic pressure (r = 0.412, p < 0.05). In the multiple logistic regression analysis, the percentage of circulating fibrocytes was an independent predictor of PH (odds ratio [OR]: 2.080, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.539–2.812, p < 0.001). Controlling for confounding covariates in the multivariate Cox regression models, the presence of PH conferred an increased risk of all‐cause mortality in HD patients [hazard ratio (HR): 2.183, 95% CI:1.257–3.788, p = 0.006]. Conclusion: The prevalence of PH was high in HD patients and was associated with higher all‐cause mortality. Higher circulating fibrocyte level was an independent predictor of the presence of PH; these fibrocytes may serve as early detection markers and novel therapeutic targets. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Single‐source white light‐emitting diodes (WLEDs) with smart regulation of correlated color temperature (CCT) are indispensable for the next generation of WLEDs aimed at healthy and high‐quality illumination, where a suitable CCT value is closely related to our emotions and circadian rhythm. Herein, this work constructs a single‐component emission layer WLED with high performance for controllable daily lighting through Bi3+/Te4+ dual‐doped Cs2SnCl6 engineering. The efficient energy transfers between triple self‐trapped exciton states from Bi3+/Te4+ doping allow two tunable broadband emissions that can cover the full‐color region, thereby yielding a standout color‐rendering index of 94 for the fabricated WLED. The robust stability against heat, ultraviolet light, and environmental oxygen/water induces a long half‐lifetime of WLED up to 1104 h. Moreover, the dual‐doped strategy endows the emitter with excitation‐dependent luminescent characteristics, enabling the single emissive layer device to realize switching control of cold‐, positive‐, and warm‐white light by converting the excitation chip. Meanwhile, continuous regulation of CCT for different application scenarios can be achieved by adjusting the current of different chips. Tumor cells often overexpress immune checkpoint proteins, including CD47, for immune evasion. However, whether or how oncogenic activation of receptor tyrosine kinases, which are crucial drivers in tumor development, regulates CD47 expression is unknown. Here, it is demonstrated that epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) activation induces CD47 expression by increasing the binding of c‐Src to CD47, leading to c‐Src‐mediated CD47 Y288 phosphorylation. This phosphorylation inhibits the interaction between the ubiquitin E3 ligase TRIM21 and CD47, thereby abrogating TRIM21‐mediated CD47 K99/102 polyubiquitylation and CD47 degradation. Knock‐in expression of CD47 Y288F reduces CD47 expression, increases macrophage phagocytosis of tumor cells, and inhibits brain tumor growth in mice. In contrast, knock‐in expression of CD47 K99/102R elicits the opposite effects compared to CD47 Y288F expression. Importantly, CD47‐SIRPα blockade with an anti‐CD47 antibody treatment significantly enhances EGFR‐targeted cancer therapy. In addition, CD47 expression levels in human glioblastoma (GBM) specimens correlate with EGFR and c‐Src activation and aggravation of human GBM. These findings elucidate a novel mechanism underlying CD47 upregulation in EGFR‐activated tumor cells and underscore the role of the EGFR‐c‐Src‐TRIM21‐CD47 signaling axis in tumor evasion and the potential to improve the current cancer therapy with a combination of CD47 blockade with EGFR‐targeted remedy. Uncertainties and risks have posed significant challenges to cross‐border mergers and acquisitions (M&As) in tourism. By using the cross‐border M&A data from 2000 to 2020, this study examines the relationship between the national risks of the host country and equity strategies for cross‐border M&As in tourism. The results show that the greater the host country's comprehensive risk and economic risk, the less inclined the tourism industry is to adopt high‐equity M&A strategies, and the fewer the shares and the lower the amount of cross‐border M&A transactions. Industry correlation negatively moderates the effect of national risks while institutional distance has positive moderating effect. In the past decades, great efforts have been made to develop novel visible‐light photocatalysts to achieve high photocatalytic efficiency by utilizing visible light, the largest proportion of solar energy. As a new type of photocatalyst materials, all‐inorganic lead‐free halide double perovskites have begun to attract widespread interest. Herein, double perovskite Cs2AgBiCl6 was developed into a visible‐light photocatalyst for degrading organic dyes. Cs2AgBiCl6 was prepared by the hydrochloric acid precipitation and anti‐solvent recrystallization methods, respectively, and was used to degrade organic dyes under visible light. Samples prepared by the anti‐solvent recrystallization method are smaller than those prepared by the hydrochloric acid precipitation method, which can degrade 95.7 % of Sudan III in 10 min and show excellent photocatalytic activity. The cyclic experiments demonstrate that Cs2AgBiCl6 has a good cycle stability. Moreover, Cs2AgBiCl6‐AS also exhibits good photocatalytic degradation ability for Methyl red and Malachite green. These distinctive results indicate that Cs2AgBiCl6 may be a promising material for developing novel, high‐efficient and stable visible‐light photocatalysts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Lead‐halide perovskites have received extensive attention in X‐ray imaging applications recently. However, their poor stability, lead toxicity, and strong light self‐absorption seriously limit the commercial development. Here, we report a vacancy‐ordered Cs2HfCl6 double perovskite for scintillators applications. The Cs2HfCl6 microcrystals (MCs) are characterized by broadband blue emission with a large Stokes shift. Joined experimental‐theoretical characterizations reveal the highly localized charge distribution in Cs2HfCl6 and structural distortion of [HfCl6]2− octahedron in the excited state favor the formation of self‐trapped excitons (STEs), which contribute to the broadband emission. Benefiting from the radioluminescence of STEs with negligible self‐absorption, the light yield of Cs2HfCl6 scintillator reaches 21700 photons/MeV, and the detection limit is 55 nGyair s−1. Additionally, the Cs2HfCl6 scintillator exhibits extremely low hygroscopicity and good resistance to X‐ray irradiation. Further, a large‐area scintillator screen (20×20 cm2) is fabricated by combining scrape‐coating and soft‐pressing techniques, showing a spatial resolution of 11.2 lp mm−1. Given the high spatial resolution and fast light decay of this scintillator screen, static X‐ray imaging of bulky objects is realized, and dynamic X‐ray imaging of a rotating chopping fan is demonstrated without ghosting effects. Recently, metal halide perovskites have attracted extensive attentions owing to their superior optoelectronic properties in various device applications, such as solar cells, photodetectors, light‐emitting diodes, lasing, photocatalysis, etc. Up to now, the state‐of‐the‐art developments of perovskite‐based devices are most using the lead‐halide perovskite system. However, the presence of lead (Pb) in these devices, which is insidious bioaccumulative hazard to human bodies, and a poor stability against light, heat, and humidity hamper their practical applications and future commercialization. Therefore, the scientific community is searching for low‐toxicity and environmental‐friendly lead‐free perovskite‐type materials as a back‐up strategy. Among the possible Pb‐substitution strategies, the trivalent bismuth cation (Bi3+) possesses the same electronic configuration as Pb2+, and some emerging Bi‐based perovskites and derivatives are experimentally characterized, which exhibit comparable optoelectronic properties to the Pb‐based perovskites. In this review, a comprehensive overview of currently explored Bi‐based halide perovskites is reported, with an emphasis on their synthesis methods, structural diversity, photophysical properties, and their current and potential applications in various optoelectronic categories. Finally, this review is finished with a critical outlook into the current challenges and development prospects of Bi‐based halide perovskites toward the versatile optoelectronic applications. Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the most common cause of mortality in end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) patients. Fragmented QRS complex (fQRS) has been reported as a helpful marker in evaluating various cardiovascular pathologies. We aimed to investigate the value of the fQRS complex clinical decision of ESRD patients receiving dialysis. Methods: This prospective observational study included 411 patients receiving hemodialysis (HD) or continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) between 2016‐01‐01 and 2020‐12‐31. The primary outcomes were all‐cause and cardiovascular (CV) mortality. Results: HD patients have elevated values of fQRS complex compared to CAPD patients (39.1% vs. 28.2%, P = 0.027). Significantly, fQRS complex in the anterior/lateral leads is associated with all‐cause and CV mortality stronger than fQRS in the inferior leads (P = 0.008). In a multivariate Cox regression analysis, HD patients with fQRS complex had a higher incidence of all‐cause mortality (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.860; 95% confidence interval [CI]: [1.032, 3.349]; p = 0.041) and CV mortality (HR = 2.989; 95% CI [1.357, 6.584]; p = 0.007). For CAPD patients, fQRS complex was also associated with increased risk of all‐cause mortality (HR = 1.593; 95% CI [1.023, 2.580]; p = 0.049) and increased risk of CV mortality (HR = 2.392; 95% CI [1.348, 4.173]; p = 0.013). Conclusions: The presence of the fQRS complex was an independent predictor of all‐cause and CV mortality in HD and CAPD patients. The cerebellum is involved in encoding balance, posture, speed, and gravity during locomotion. However, most studies are carried out on flat surfaces, and little is known about cerebellar activity during free ambulation on slopes. Here, it has been imaged the neuronal activity of cerebellar molecular interneurons (MLIs) and Purkinje cells (PCs) using a miniaturized microscope while a mouse is walking on a slope. It has been found that the neuronal activity of vermal MLIs specifically enhanced during uphill and downhill locomotion. In addition, a subset of MLIs is activated during entire uphill or downhill positions on the slope and is modulated by the slope inclines. In contrast, PCs showed counter‐balanced neuronal activity to MLIs, which reduced activity at the ramp peak. So, PCs may represent the ramp environment at the population level. In addition, chemogenetic inactivation of lobule V of the vermis impaired uphill locomotion. Mitochondria follow non‐Mendelian maternal inheritance, and thus can be used to compare genetic diversity and infer the expansion and migration between animal populations. Based on the mitochondrial DNA sequences of 58 pig breeds from Asia, Europe, Oceania, and America, we observed a distinct division of Eurasian pig species into two main Haplogroups (A and B), with the exception of the Berkshire and Yorkshire breeds. Oceanian pigs were much more similar to European and American pigs in Haplogroup A. Additionally, native Chinese pigs exhibited the most abundant genetic polymorphisms and occupied the centre of Haplogroup B. Miyazaki (Japan) and Siberia (Russia) are two distant and disconnected regions; however, most pigs from these regions were clustered into a subcluster, while native pigs from Korea clustered into a second subcluster. This study is the first to report that pigs from Thailand and Vietnam had haplotypes similar to those of Henan, where the earliest evidence of domestic pigs was found from the Yellow River Basin of North China. Local Henan pig breeds are related to many Asian breeds while still having their own mutation identity, such as g.314 delins T>AC/AT/C of the 12S rRNA gene in Yuxi. Some pigs from Palawan, Itbayat, and Batan Islands of the Philippines and Lanyu Island of China were distinct from other Asian pigs and clustered together into Haplogroup C. These findings show that the complexity of domestication of worldwide pig breeds and mitochondria could reflect genetic communication between pig breeds due to geographical proximity and human activities. Roof‐cutting and pressure‐releasing technology are used to cut out the pressure transmission line of the critical blocks in the roof, causing the roof to totally collapse in the gob, while the NPR large deformation anchor cable support keeps the highway in its self‐formed state. The gangue compactness has increased greatly when fully collapsed and filled to the gob's edge. At the end of the working face, the void ratio between rock blocks and the loose area is decreased, resulting in an observable shortening of the airflow disturbance distance at the working face and a change in the disaster gas accumulation law in the deep gob. It is critical to obtain the permeability characteristics of gob to avoid hazardous gas migration. The evolutionary model of the permeability of the mined‐out region is created based on the analysis of the movement law of the overburden strata and the collapsed law of the gangue in the gob, and the "Z" ventilation model is built to research the airflow law in the gob. The following are the key conclusions reached: The 0–10 m airflow exchange zone is severe, the 10–45 m airflow return face is weak, the 45–190 m section airflow exchange is weak, and the 190–280 m section airflow confluence gob enhances the top corner's weak air area. The 0–50 m part of the self‐formed Roadway has a wide air leakage channel, and good sealing methods have a significant impact on air leakage in the working face. The two‐dimensional model constructed by comprehensive quantification of the main controlling factors, such as broken‐expand, pressure, and filling degree, can represent the law of gas migration in the panel to a significant extent, and the reliability of the permeability evolution law is confirmed through data comparison and analysis. The morphological control and spatial accommodation of Li2O2 discharge products on the oxygen cathode are crucial to bolstering both the Coulombic and round‐trip efficiencies of Li−O2 batteries. Herein, MoS2/MoN heterostructures are constructed on carbon cloth to serve as the freestanding and binder‐free oxygen cathode for Li−O2 batteries, lending a low charge/discharge polarization of 0.79 V, a large specific capacity of 9.04 mAh cm−2, and a superb cycling stability beyond 800 h. Through comprehensive microscopic, electroanalytical and density function theory analyses, the superb electrochemical performance is attributed to the formation of a conformal and amorphous Li2O2 layer, which is kinetically driven in virtue of the higher electric conductivity of MoN and stronger LiO2 intermediate adsorption on the heterostructures. Perovskite light‐emitting diodes (LEDs) are emerging light sources for next‐generation lighting and display technologies; however, their development is greatly plagued by difficulty in achieving yellow electroluminescence, environmental instability, and lead toxicity. Copper halide CsCu2I3 with intrinsic yellow emission emerges as a highly promising candidate for eco‐friendly LEDs, but the electroluminescent performance is limited by defect‐related nonradiative losses and inefficient charge transport/injection. To solve these issues, a hole‐transporting poly(9‐vinlycarbazole) (PVK)‐incorporated engineering into CsCu2I3 emitter is proposed. PVK with carbazole groups is permeated at the grain boundaries of CsCu2I3 films by interacting with the uncoordinated Cu+, reducing the CuCs and CuI antisite defects to increase the radiative recombination and enhancing the hole mobility to balance the charge transport/injection, resulting in substantially enhanced device performances. Eventually, the yellow LEDs exhibit an 8.5‐fold enhancement of external quantum efficiency, and the half‐lifetime reaches 14.6 h, representing the most stable yellow LEDs based on perovskite systems reported so far. Pyroptosis is a type of programmed cell death triggered by a variety of exogenous stimuli, playing important roles in the development of cells. Recent studies have shown that pyroptosis also occurs in human and mouse adipocytes. The serine/threonine protein phosphatase 1 catalytic subunit α (PP1A) is located in the nucleus and functions in the regulation of cell development, glucose metabolism and protein synthesis. PP1A can also target important proteins in the process of apoptosis. However, it is still unclear whether PP1A participates in the regulation of pyroptosis in mouse adipocytes. In the present study, we investigated the function of PP1A in reactive oxygen species‐induced pyroptosis and the related mechanism in mouse adipose tissue. Our results demonstrated that PP1A suppressed pyroptosis in adipocytes by inhibiting the reactive oxygen species/mitogen‐activated protein kinase/caspase‐3 signaling pathway and promoting M2 macrophage polarization. With the progression of diseases, modified cell–matrix interactions have major effects not only upon key cellular functions but also upon the structure of extracellular matrix and vasculature, which are two of the most prevalent fiber‐like structures in biological tissues. Unfortunately, quantitative approaches to assessing these structural changes are lacking. Herein, a multiparametric imaging system is established to resolve subtle organizational changes of collagen fibers and vasculature in disease progression. The pixel‐wise, automated waviness (paWav) is developed as a novel biomarker, and a multimodal analysis system combining paWav with orientation and alignment assessments is constructed. Aggregation‐induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) with second near‐infrared excitation or emission are developed for in vivo deep‐penetration vasculature imaging. The organization remodeling of cortical blood vessels in stroke in marmosets is quantitatively characterized using biologically excretable AIE dots that highlight the clinical translation potential, and a distance dependence law in vessel morphological remodeling is identified. Finally, the multiparametric analysis relying completely on collagen fiber signatures successfully differentiates cancerous from normal pancreatic tissues using a predictive classification approach. Collectively, the combined use of these structural changes in fibrillar tissue components may enable a better understanding of cell–matrix interactions in pathogenesis and identification of new potential treatment targets. The performance of lithium‐metal batteries is severely hampered by uncontrollable dendrite growth and volume expansion on the metal anodes. Inspired by the "blockchain" concept in data mining, here we utilize a conductive polymer‐filled metal–organic framework (MOF) as the lithium host, in which polypyrrole (PPy) serves as the "chain" to interlink Li "blocks" stored in the MOF pores. While the N‐rich PPy guides fast Li+ infiltration/extrusion and serves as the nucleation sites for isotropic Li growth, the MOF pores compartmentalize bulk Li deposition for 3D matrix Li storage, leading to low‐barrier and dendrite‐free Li plating/stripping with superb Coulombic efficiency. The as‐fabricated lithium‐metal anodes operate over 700 cycles at 5 mA cm−2 in symmetric cells, and 800 cycles at 1 C in full cells with a per‐cycle capacity loss of only 0.017 %. Cells adjust mitochondrial morphologies to coordinate between the cellular demand for energy and the availability of resources. Mitochondrial morphology is regulated by the balance between two counteracting mitochondrial processes of fusion and fission. Fission and fusion are dynamic and reversible processes that depend on the coordination of a number of proteins and are primarily regulated by posttranslational modifications. In the mitochondria, more than 20% of proteins are acetylated in proteomic surveys, partly involved in the dynamic regulation of mitochondrial fusion and fission. This article focuses on the molecular mechanism of the mitochondrial dynamics of fusion and fission, and summarizes the related mechanisms and targets of mitochondrial protein acetylation to regulate the mitochondrial dynamics of fusion and fission in energy metabolism. Hydrochromic materials have attracted widespread attention in the fields of anti‐counterfeiting because of their ability of the reversible light absorption and/or emission properties in response to water. Here, for the first it is demonstrated that the ternary copper halides Cs3Cu2I5 nanocrystals (NCs) possess excellent hydrochromic properties. The prepared Cs3Cu2I5 NCs films can dynamically extract and insert CsI by exposing/removing water to realize the reversible conversion between blue‐emissive Cs3Cu2I5 and yellow‐emissive CsCu2I3. Interestingly, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) coated Cs3Cu2I5 can effectively avoid the extraction of CsI and maintain long‐term stability in the water. Further, the hydrochromic Cs3Cu2I5 and water‐resistant Cs3Cu2I5@PMMA are used as the inks to synergistically act on anti‐counterfeiting information to achieve multiple encryption effects, which can clearly identify and authenticate the effective information after moisture decryption. Importantly, the pattern can be re‐encrypted to the invalid pattern after water evaporation. In addition, the anti‐counterfeiting pattern has excellent stability during repeated encryption/decryption conversion cycles, which can not only balance the accessibility of anti‐counterfeiting information but also effectively improve the security of information. Introduction: Numerous studies have demonstrated that end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) patients undergoing hemodialysis (HD) have high myocardial fibrosis (MF) levels. Circulating fibrocytes are bone marrow‐derived circulating mesenchymal progenitors, and new evidence suggests a vital role for fibrocytes in the development of MF. This study aimed to investigate whether fibrocyte levels are elevated in patients undergoing HD and its influence factors. Methods: We carried out a flow cytometry analysis to measure the proportion of peripheral blood circulating fibrocytes in a cohort of 126 healthy control individuals and 161 subjects with HD. Cardiac function and morphology were assessed by electrocardiogram and transthoracic echocardiogram. Findings Compared to healthy controls, individuals with ESRD had significantly higher levels of circulating fibrocytes. There was a strong correlation between the frequency of fragmented QRS (fQRS) and circulating fibrocytes in HD patients. Furthermore, higher fibrocytes correlated to increasing age, dialysis age, left ventricular mass index (LVMI), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), and hypertension complication. On multivariate analysis, the dialysis age [odds ratio (OR) 1.011, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.003–1.019, p = 0.006], LVMI (OR 1.012, 95% CI 1.002–1.022, p = 0.016), hypertension (OR 4.303, 95% CI 1.129–16.406, p = 0.033), and fQRS (OR 2.439, 95% CI 1.049–5.262, p = 0.038) were significant independent predictors of fibrocytes percentage. Discussion We concluded that bone marrow‐derived circulating fibrocytes were significantly increased in ESRD patients with HD compared with controls. High‐sensitive detection of NO is very important to protect environment and human health. In this study, the composites of ZnO nanorods and CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 particles are synthesized successfully and used as sensing materials for detection of NO, in which the as‐prepared samples exhibit ultra‐high response and excellent selectivity to NO at 50 °C. Toward 100 ppm NO, the response is up to about 2296. The samples can high‐sensitively detect 1 ppm NO with response of about 6, demonstrating a low detection limit. The high response of CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6/ZnO could be attributed to the multiple heterojunctions formed among three materials. The results demonstrated that the composites of CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 and ZnO should be a promising material for preparing the high‐sensitive NO sensors at low temperature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

While sodium metal anodes (SMAs) feature many performance advantages in sodium ion batteries (SIBs), severe safety concerns remain for using bulk sodium electrodes. Herein, a 3D Ag@C natrophilic substrate prepared by a facile thermal evaporation deposition method, which can be employed as a much safer "anode‐free" SMA, is reported. Initially, there is no bulk sodium on the Ag@C substrate in the assembled SIBs. Upon charging, sodium will be uniformly deposited onto the Ag@C substrate and afterwards functions as a real SMA, thus inheriting the intrinsic merits of SMA and enhancing safety simultaneously. While cycling, the as‐synthesized substrate demonstrates superior sodium plating/stripping cycling stability at 1, 2 and 3 mA cm−2 with a capacity of 2 mAh cm−2. Theoretical simulations reveal that Na ions prefer to bind with Ag and form a Na‐Ag network, thus clearly revealing uniform sodium deposition on the Ag@C substrate. More importantly, a full battery based on Ag@C and Prussian white with impressive Coulomb efficiency (CE), high rate capability (from 0.1 C to 5 C) and long‐term cycling life is illustrated for the first time, thus making Ag@C feasible for the establishment of "anode‐free" SIBs with reduced cost, high gravimetric/volumetric energy density and enhanced safety. Insertion type material has been attracted plenty of attentions as the anode of sodium ion batteries (SIBs) due to the low volume change induced long cycle stability. H1.07Ti1.73O4 (HTO), a two‐dimensional layered material, is a new insertion type anode material for SIBs reported in this study. Layered HTO composites were decorated with rGO nanosheets via an electrostatic assembly method followed by hydrothermal treatment. When adapted as the anode material of SIBs, HTO@rGO composite exhibits an enhanced sodium ion storage behavior, including high rate capability and long cycle stability. It can deliver high capacities of 142.8 and 66.7 mA h g−1 at 100 and 10 000 mA g−1, respectively. Moreover, it can keep a capacity of 75.1 mA h g−1 at 5 A g−1 after even 5000 cycles, corresponding to a high capacity retention of 70.8% (0.0058% capacity decay per cycle). HTO exhibits a small volume expansion of 19.6% by in‐situ transmission electron microscopy (in‐situ TEM). The diffusion coefficient of sodium ions is increased from 1.77 × 10−14 cm2 s−1 in HTO composites to 4.80 × 10−14 cm2 s−1 in HTO@rGO composites. An efficient bio‐safe cyclophosphazene flame retardant, 1,5,9,13,16,20‐Hexaoxa‐7,14,21‐triaza‐6λ4,8λ4,5λ4‐triphosphatrispiro[5.1.5.1.5.1]heneicosa‐6,8(14),15(21)‐triene (HCPO), was synthesized, and then was incorporated into polylactic acid (PLA) to improve the fire safety. The chemical structure of HCPO was confirmed by Fourier‐transformed infrared spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The thermal stability of the compound was characterized by thermogravimetric (TG) analyzer. The cytotoxic effects of HCPO to cells were evaluated. Fire behavior and thermal stability of PLA composites were investigated by vertical burning, limiting oxygen index (LOI), TG analysis, and cone calorimeter. The morphology of residual charring was observed by scanning electron microscope. The results showed HCPO was bio‐safe, and highly effective to enhance the flame retardancy of PLA composites. The LOI value was increased from 18.4 to 27.5 and UL‐94 grade achieved V‐0 for the PLA composite containing only 2% HCPO and 2% pentaerythrotol. It was demonstrated that intermolecular cross‐linking reaction between pentaerythrotol and HCPO in high temperature range could accelerate the formation of compact char layers. Background: HS‐1‐associated protein‐1 (HAX1) has been reported to be overexpressed in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues. However, the underlying mechanism of HAX1 in NSCLC has not previously been demonstrated. The present study investigated the role and underlying mechanism of HAX1 in NSCLC. Methods: The HAX1 expression were confirmed in NSCLC tissues through TCGA database and qRT‐PCR. Moreover, we performed qRT‐PCR, Western blotting, Transwell assays, TUNEL assays and so on to evaluate the role of HAX1 in A549 and H1299 cell lines. Results: mRNA expression of HAX1 was overexpressed in NSCLC tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues according to The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. QRT‐PCR assays showed that HAX1 mRNA expression was upregulated in NSCLC tissues. The high HAX1 mRNA levels were found to be positively associated with tumor size, TNM stage and lymphatic metastasis. Silencing of HAX1 promoted apoptosis and reduced invasion of A549 and H1299 cells by inhibiting the AKT/mTOR and MDM2/P53 signal pathway. AKT agonist SC79 could inhibit apoptosis and promote proliferation, migration and invasion of A549 and H1299 cells transfected with si‐HAX1.
