Extensive experimental research and hydrodynamic models have been proposed to guide the design of superior packings. However, most research has concentrated on the effective void (ε − H) of packing while ignoring the ineffective void (ε − H − HL), which causes discrepancies in hydrodynamic performance compared to actual observations. This study evaluated the hydrodynamic performance under diverse conditions considering the liquid holdup (H), pressure drop (ΔP), and gas flooding velocity (uf). A novel approach to hydrodynamic model construction is introduced by incorporating an ineffective void. The results indicate that at a constant hold‐up area, liquid flow (L) and viscosity (μ) significantly influence liquid hold up, moderated by the gas velocity in the flooding area. The pressure drop rises as the viscosity, gas flow rate, and liquid flow rate increase. Notably, a considerable pressure drop initiates flooding at the bottom of the absorber. Elevated liquid flow rates and viscosities correlate with higher ineffective void values (HL) in the packing column. At low gas flow rates, the gas flow rate marginally affects HL values. However, after the flooding point was achieved, the values of HL rapidly increased as the gas flow rate increased. Moreover, a linear relationship emerges between the liquid holdup and HL, as evidenced by the consistent variation in the liquid holdup and the F‐factor. Utilizing the ineffective void yields a more accurate fit for the experimental data, reducing the average absolute relative deviation to 10.2%, 7.4%, and 10.8%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The preparation of pristine formamidinium lead tri‐iodide (FAPbI3) perovskite films for solar cells applications can be very challenging without methylammonium containing additives. The pinhole‐rich films prepared by methylammonium‐free approach limit the performance of the pristine FAPbI3 perovskite solar cells (PSCs). This work proposes a recrystallization method employing mixed solvent annealing (MSA) to heal the pinholes in pristine FAPbI3 perovskite films. The tetramethylene sulfoxide vapor is demonstrated most effective in grains‐merging and pinhole healing, while the addition of a secondary solvent vapor of anisole significantly improved the uniformity of TMSO vapor distribution. The pristine FAPbI3 PSCs prepared with MSA recrystallized film achieved power conversion efficiencies up to 22.43% and 16.54% on small cells (0.105 cm2) and mini‐modules (12.6 cm2), respectively, showing great potential in upscaling fabrication of perovskite photovoltaics with pristine FAPbI3. Background: Accurately stratifying patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is very important, and traditional risk scores still have internal heterogeneity. This study aimed to construct a risk stratification model that can accurately identify clinical worsening (CW) events in conventional low‐intermediate risk patients with pulmonary hypertension under targeted drug treatment by using echocardiographic parameters. Methods: This study is a single‐center, prospective study, including 105 PAH patients who underwent regular follow‐up at Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital from October 2021 to April 2023. The primary endpoint was the occurrence of CW, including death, hospitalization due to pulmonary hypertension, escalation of targeted drug therapy, and worsening of PAH. The predictive value of the echocardiography‐based three‐strata risk model was assessed using Kaplan‐Meier curves and COX regression analysis. Results: A total of 98 PAH patients were ultimately included in this study. The median follow‐up duration was 26 months (range 7–28 months). The echocardiography‐based three‐strata model included the ratio of tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion and pulmonary artery systolic pressure (TAPSE/PASP) and inferior vena cava (IVC). The echocardiography‐based three‐strata model had higher diagnostic value (C‐index =.76) compared to the 2022 ESC/ERS three‐strata model and four‐strata model (C‐index =.66 and C‐index =.61, respectively). PAH patients with lower TAPSE/PASP and wider IVC showed a higher CW rate compared to patients with higher TAPSE/PASP and normal IVC (HR = 15.1, 95%CI:4.4‐51.9, p <.001). Conclusion: The echocardiography‐based three‐strata model based on TAPSE/PASP and IVC can effectively improve the stratification of low‐intermediate risk PAH patients under targeted treatment. To investigate the influence of motivation climate and self‐regulation on university student engagement in distance education (DE) during the pandemic, a total of 436 Chinese university students were invited to participate in the online survey (including demographic variables, Chinese version of engagement scale, the perceived motivational climate scale, and the self‐regulated learning abilities scale) in the Spring semester, 2020. Bicorrelation and regression analysis were used to explore the relationship among studied variables. Results showed that mastery motivation climate had a positive relation with student engagement, while performance motivation climate had a negative relation with it. Self‐regulation could strengthen the positive relationship between mastery motivation climate and student engagement. However, the moderating role of self‐regulation was not found in the relationship between performance motivation climate and student engagement. These findings could enrich our understanding about the motivation climate–student engagement relationship from self‐regulation perspective and have implications for DE during the pandemic. In order to promote the commercialization of perovskite solar cells, gas‐quenching is considered to be a promising technique for perovskite film fabrication. However, when handling with methylammonium‐free (MA‐free) perovskites, it is often difficult to obtain high‐quality perovskite films by gas‐quenching. Herein, formate additives are employed to regulate the crystallization of MA‐free perovskite, and improve the quality of perovskite films. Different additives of formamidine formate (FAFO) and potassium formate (KFO) is compared to investigate the role of formate groups in the crystallization of perovskite films prepared by gas‐quenching. The FAFO additive facilitates the perovskite crystallization in (001) orientation whereas KFO favors for (111) orientation. The MA‐free device with addition of FAFO demonstrate a champion power conversion efficiency of 20.94 %, compared to that of 20.14 % for KFO devices. In addition, FAFO device also exhibits improved thermal stability in ambient condition without encapsulation, extending the T80 lifetime by 18 times compared to the pristine device. Three‐dimensional unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) oblique photogrammetric data were used to infer mountainous gravel braided river lithofacies, lithofacies associations and architectural elements. Hierarchical architecture and lithofacies associations with detailed lithofacies characterizations were comprehensively described to document the architectural model, architectural element scale and gravel particle scale. (1) Nine lithofacies (i.e., Gmm, Gcm, Gcc, Gci, Gcl, Ss, Sm, Fsm and Fl) were identified and classified as gravel, sand and fine matrix deposits. These are typical depositional features of a mountainous dryland gravel‐braided river. (2) Three architectural elements were identified, including channel (CH), gravel bar (GB) and overbank (OB). CH can be further divided into flow channel and abandoned channel, while GB consists of Central Gravel bar (CGB) and Margin Gravel bar (MGB). (3) The gravel bar is the key architectural element of the gravel braided river, with its geological attributes. The dimensions of GBs and their particles are various, but exhibit good relationships with each other. The grain size of GB decreases downstream, but the dimensions of GB do not. The bank erosion affects the GB dimensions, whereas channel incision and water flow velocity influence the grain size of GB. To test the impact of work stress on Chinese rural school principal turnover intention, 490 rural school principals in the mainland of China were asked to participate in a survey. Multiple linear regression analyses showed that work stress had a positive relation with turnover intention, while achievement motivation and place attachment had negative relations. Additionally, place attachment was a protective factor that could reduce the negative effect of work stress on job satisfaction or the positive effect of work stress on turnover intention. Additionally, the moderating effects of place attachment were mediated by job satisfaction. These findings can enrich our understanding of the relation between work stress and school principal turnover behavior and can provide some suggestions for reducing school principal turnover intention in developing countries such as the mainland of China. Electrochemical organic synthesis has attracted increasing attentions as a sustainable and versatile synthetic platform. Quantitative assessment of the electro‐organic reactions, including reaction thermodynamics, electro‐kinetics, and coupled chemical processes, can lead to effective analytical tool to guide their future design. Herein, we demonstrate that electrochemical parameters such as onset potential, Tafel slope, and effective voltage can be utilized as electro‐descriptors for the evaluation of reaction conditions and prediction of reactivities (yields). An "electro‐descriptor‐diagram" is generated, where reactive and non‐reactive conditions/substances show distinct boundary. Successful predictions of reaction outcomes have been demonstrated using electro‐descriptor diagram, or from machine learning algorithms with experimentally‐derived electro‐descriptors. This method represents a promising tool for data‐acquisition, reaction prediction, mechanistic investigation, and high‐throughput screening for general organic electro‐synthesis. To understand the epidemiology, evolutionary and transmission characteristics of HIV‐1 CRF07_BC in Nanjing, China. One hundred and fifty‐nine patients with HIV‐1 CRF07_BC were recruited. DNA sequencing, phylogenetic analysis, and molecular transmission cluster analysis were conducted to determine the molecular epidemiology and evolutionary characteristics. Of these HIV‐1‐infected patients, 95.6% were male, and men who sex with men (76.7%) were the main transmission route. Only 34.0% of these cases were born in Nanjing, and most of them (64.8%) reported having multiple sex partners in the last 6 months. The maximum likelihood phylogenetic analyses of HIV‐1 CRF07_BC revealed two lineages. Overall, 67.3% of Nanjing sequences were connected to at least one other individual distributed in 11 clusters, and the average degree was 21.2 with range (1‐178). The clustered patients were more likely to be male. The time to a most recent common ancestor for the early HIV‐1 CRF07_BC circulating in Nanjing was estimated to be 1998.71[1997.36‐2001.07]. The mean estimated evolutionary rate for the epidemic cluster was slightly lower at 2.38[2.12‐2.65] × 10−3 per site per year with the relaxed exponential clock model. HIV‐1 CRF07_BC was transmitted into Nanjing more than 20 years ago from Yunnan and has become one of the most predominant subtypes with a higher evolutionary rate than before. The present study aimed to examine the psychological impact of the COVID‐19 pandemic on infertile patients. We adopted a comparison design and searched articles published from 1 September 2016 to 31 December 2019 as the control group, while articles published from 1 January 2020 to 31 April 2023 were treated as the pandemic group. Specifically, Web of Science, PubMed, Medline, PsycArticle, CNKI and PsycINFO were searched to identify potential eligible records. Risk of bias was assessed, and random‐effects meta‐analyses were conducted to estimate the prevalence of specific mental health problems. Forty studies with a total of 19,480 participants were included in the analysis. The pooled prevalence of anxiety in the pandemic group was significantly higher than that in the control group. The depression and stress prevalence in the pandemic group was higher than that in the control group, yet did not reach statistical significance. A subgroup analysis revealed region differences with developed countries exhibiting higher rates of anxiety and depression in the pandemic group, but the result was the opposite in the control group. Physiological factors, psychological factors and social factors correlated with infertile patients' mental health were identified. The COVID‐19 pandemic had a significant negative impact on infertile patients' mental health, emphasizing the importance of ways to mitigate the risks during the pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Although the impacts of infertility‐related stress on mental health have been testified in the literature, the underlying mechanism between them is still not clear. In response to this issue, 286 Chinese women who were pursuing medical treatment for fertility problems in two state‐owned hospitals were invited to complete the survey, including the 7‐item Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS), the Fertility Problem Inventory (FPI), the 5‐item Mental Health Inventory (MHI‐5), and demographic variables (e.g., age). The multiple linear regression method (SPSS 16) was used to investigate the impact of infertility‐related stress and marital satisfaction on infertile women's mental health. Results showed that the total FPI score—and the specific domains of Social Concern, Relationship Concern, and Rejection of Child‐Free Lifestyle in particular—had a significant negative relation with infertile women's mental health and marital satisfaction as a moderator between them. Therefore, the core of marital relationship and specific infertility‐related stress should be addressed in psychological intervention programs for people facing infertility in mainland China. The carbon dioxide post‐combustion capture process using amine solutions is considered the most appropriate method for CO2 capture from flue gas in power plants. This paper focuses on the CO2 capture performance of six common organic amines. Two amines, piperazine (PZ) and diethylenetriamine (DETA), which showed better performance, were then filtered out to form amine blends to improve performance further. The absorption heat from the CO2 absorbing process was measured directly using an advanced C80 micro calorimeter for more accurate calculation of regenerative energy consumption. Experimental results confirmed the optimal amine blend to be 10% PZ plus 20% DETA, with a 42% increase in absorption capacity and a 9% increase in initial absorption rate compared to traditional 30% monoethanolamine (MEA). The regeneration energy consumption of this chosen PZ‐DETA blend was calculated to be 3.979 GJ/ton CO2, a decrease of 9% compared with MEA. Moreover, it led to an improvement of about 55% in stable cyclic absorption capacity in comparison with 30% MEA. In this work, fluorescent carbon quantum dots (CQDs) composite transparent film with blue emission was prepared via hydrothermal fabrication, mixing with vinyl acetate‐ethylene (VAE) emulsion, coated and cross‐linked on the glass in sequence. This CQD/VAE film has good sticking ability and compatibility of sealing ethylene‐vinyl acetate (EVA) material and works well as luminescent downshifting (LDS) materials. Based on these features, we did a set of optical characteristics analysis for CQD/VAE film and inserted a CQD/VAE film between glass and EVA encapsulation in a mini metal wrap through (MWT) solar module. This LDS could convert UV part of solar spectra, which are normally blocked by EVA, into the blue range and improve the light absorption by solar cell. Enhancement in the performance of solar modules was proved, especially the improvement of current of short circuit (Isc), external quantum efficiency (EQE) of the UV wavelength and solar module efficiency. This material provides the chance for prompt application, since it simply solves the dispersion problem of LDS material inside encapsulation and keeps the transparency of sealing polymer materials. We design a simple method to make a luminescent, transparent film for solar module lamination process. The enhancements of the Jsc and PCE of Si sample coated with CQD/VAE layers are 1.4% and 2.4%, respectively, at the optimal concentration of 2 wt% of CQD inside VAE film, comparing with twin module without this CQD/VAE film covering. We successfully tune the solar absorption spectra of crystalline Si solar module, and waster UV part is utilized efficiently to contribute the power output. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Comprehensive data on hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotypes distribution is critical for treatment regimen selection, vaccine design, and drug development. This study aimed to understand the dynamic distribution of HCV genotypes in Mainland China. Three hundred sixty‐two studies published from January 1993 to December 2017 involving 64 891 samples (5133 injecting drug users, 2748 volunteer blood donors, 1509 former paid plasma donors, 160 sexually encounters, and 1992 human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/HCV coinfection patients) were eligible for the quantitative synthesis estimation. Pooled proportion of HCV genotypes (and 95% confidence intervals [CIs]) was estimated through the Freeman‐Tukey double arcsine transformation by period, region, and risk group. A sharp decline of the subtype 1b was observed in all regions except in northwestern and central regions. The genotypes 3 and 6 showed an obvious increase in southern and southwestern regions and have already spread nationwide. After 2010, subtype 1b was the most dominant variant in all regions and risk groups, accounting for 54.0% (95% CI, 51.9‐56.1) of all national infections. Subtype 2a was the second most prevalent strain in all regions except in the south and southwest, with 15.4% (95% CI, 13.1‐17.8) national infections. The subtype 6a in southern region and 3b and 3a in southwestern region had a higher proportion of infections than that in other regions. In addition, the genotypes 3 and 6 are already prevalent in almost all risk groups. The distribution of HCV genotypes were sharply shifting in China in the past three decades. The HCV subtype 1b posed a sharp decline, whereas genotypes 3 and 6 played an increasing role in the regional and populational HCV pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: Ionic liquids (ILs) have elicited considerable attention in the field of gas absorption and separation due to their unique properties. In addition to absorption capacity and absorption rate, absorption enthalpy is an important indicator for sorbent evaluation. In this work, the absorption enthalpy of CO2 in several kinds of ILs was measured directly using a Calvet calorimeter. The effects of anions, cationic alkyl chain length, and temperature on absorption properties were discussed. Results showed that anions influenced CO2 absorption enthalpy considerably. 1‐Butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium acetate presented the most appropriate enthalpy for CO2 absorption compared with the other ILs investigated with different chain lengths. Absorption enthalpy was dependent on temperature, and the isosteric absorption enthalpy decreased with an increase in temperature. Abstract: With the aim to enhance the CO2 capture capacity and anti‐attrition property of CaO‐based sorbents simultaneously, a novel CaO‐based sphere was prepared by extrusion‐spheronization using Ca(OH)2 powder with glucose templating. The CO2 capture characteristics and attrition resistance property of the sorbent were examined and the microstructure of the sorbents was analyzed. The results demonstrate that the obtained spherical sorbents exhibit an outstanding anti‐attrition performance compared to limestone sorbent. After 100 cycles, all of the templated sorbents hold a CO2 capture capacity of more than one time higher than that of limestone. The optimum templating rate of glucose in the sorbent was 1–5 wt %. The relationship between a leader's personality and his team's performance has been established in organisational research, but the underlying process and mechanism responsible for this effect have not been fully explored. Both the traditional multiple linear regression and the multilevel structural equation model approaches were used in this study to test a proposed mediating model of subordinates' perception of collective efficacy between leader personality and team performance. The results show that the team leader's extraversion and conscientiousness personality traits were related positively to both the team-average (individual) perception of collective efficacy and team performance, and the collective efficacy mediated the relationship of the leader's personality traits and team performance.
