In recent clinical work, we have made some new discoveries by examining the skin lesions of some patients with viral infectious skin diseases with reflective confocal microscopy (skin CT). The CT manifestations of typical herpes zoster are single chamber blister in epidermis, low refractive index in blister, and large, relatively high refractive disk cells in the blister. Summing up the skin CT features of these diseases, it is not difficult for us to infer that viral infectious skin diseases may generally have high refraction, disk-shaped, or target-shaped cells with large volume under skin CT, which will provide new ideas for us to diagnose corresponding diseases in clinical work. Recently, in clinical work, we examined some patients with epidermoid cysts with reflective confocal microscopy (skin computed tomography [CT]).
