All‐solid‐state batteries have the potential for enhanced safety and capacity over conventional lithium ion batteries, and are anticipated to dominate the energy storage industry. As such, strategies to enable recycling of the individual components are crucial to minimize waste and prevent health and environmental harm. Here, we use cold sintering to reprocess solid‐state composite electrolytes, specifically Mg and Sr doped Li7La3Zr2O12 with polypropylene carbonate (PPC) and lithium perchlorate (LLZO−PPC−LiClO4). The low sintering temperature allows co‐sintering of ceramics, polymers and lithium salts, leading to re‐densification of the composite structures with reprocessing. Reprocessed LLZO−PPC−LiClO4 exhibits densified microstructures with ionic conductivities exceeding 10−4 S/cm at room temperature after 5 recycling cycles. All‐solid‐state lithium batteries fabricated with reprocessed electrolytes exhibit a high discharge capacity of 168 mA h g−1 at 0.1 C, and retention of performance at 0.2 C for over 100 cycles. Life cycle assessment (LCA) suggests that recycled electrolytes outperforms the pristine electrolyte process in all environmental impact categories, highlighting cold sintering as a promising technology for recycling electrolytes. Systemic autoimmune diseases (SADs) are a growing spectrum of autoimmune disorders that commonly affect multiple organs. The role of Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) infection or reactivation as a trigger for the initiation and progression of SADs has been established, while the relationship between EBV envelope glycoproteins and SADs remains unclear. Here, we assessed the levels of IgG, IgA, and IgM against EBV glycoproteins (including gp350, gp42, gHgL, and gB) in serum samples obtained from patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and found that RA and SLE patients exhibited a statistically significant increase in the levels of 8 and 11 glycoprotein antibodies, respectively, compared to healthy controls (p < 0.05). The LASSO model identified four factors as significant diagnostic markers for RA: gp350 IgG, gp350 IgA, gHgL IgM, and gp42 IgA; whereas for SLE it included gp350 IgG, gp350 IgA, gHgL IgA, and gp42 IgM. Combining these selected biomarkers yielded an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.749 for RA and 0.843 for SLE. We subsequently quantified the levels of autoantibodies associated with SADs in mouse sera following immunization with gp350. Remarkably, none of the tested autoantibody levels exhibited statistically significant alterations. Elevation of glycoprotein antibody concentration suggests that Epstein–Barr virus reactivation and replication occurred in SADs patients, potentially serving as a promising biomarker for diagnosing SADs. Owing to the urgency of the climate change crisis and the emerging greenwashing issue that companies face, greenwashing in companies' carbon reduction is exceptionally important in the progress of global carbon reduction and the achievement of the Paris Agreement goals. Therefore, this study focused on multinational corporations (MNCs) listed on the 2021 Fortune Global 500 list (2001–2020) and used institutional theory to theoretically discuss and empirically test the relationship between MNCs' environmental scores and carbon emissions/intensity, as well as the moderating effect of national culture. Our results demonstrate that the environmental scores of MNCs positively affect their carbon emissions and intensity, meaning that managers tend to use high scores to hide their poor carbon reduction, showing a typical "talk" more and "act" less (i.e., greenwashing) behavior. Meanwhile, the moderating effects of individualism, masculinity, and uncertainty avoidance were negative. These revealed that the balance of MNCs' "talk" and "act" can be influenced by the domestic national cultural characteristics. Further analysis showed that the Paris Agreement did not prevent MNCs' greenwashing in carbon reduction. Such greenwashing behavior has become even worse in societies with power distance characteristics after the Paris Agreement. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to investigate companies' greenwashing in terms of carbon reduction. The goal is to enhance our understanding of why and how greenwashing occurs based on the institutional theory perspective, extend the application of institutional theory, enrich the literature on companies' greenwashing and national culture, and offer insight into interdisciplinary research between national culture and green transition management. The dissolution of anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) in seawater has altered its carbonate chemistry in the process of ocean acidification (OA). OA affects the viability of marine species. In particular, calcifying organisms and their early planktonic larval stages are considered vulnerable. These organisms often utilize energy reserves for metabolism rather than growth and calcification as supported by bulk RNA‐sequencing (RNA‐seq) experiments. Yet, transcriptomic profiling of a bulk sample reflects the average gene expression of the population, neglecting the variations between individuals, which forms the basis for natural selection. Here, we used single‐embryo RNA‐seq on larval sea urchin Heliocidaris crassispina, which is a commercially and ecologically valuable species in East Asia, to document gene expression changes to OA at an individual and family level. Three paternal half‐sibs groups were fertilized and exposed to 3 pH conditions (ambient pH 8.0, 7.7 and 7.4) for 12 h prior to sequencing and oxygen consumption assay. The resulting transcriptomic profile of all embryos can be distinguished into four clusters, with differences in gene expressions that govern biomineralization, cell differentiation and patterning, as well as metabolism. While these responses were influenced by pH conditions, the male identities also had an effect. Specifically, a regression model and goodness of fit tests indicated a significant interaction between sire and pH on the probability of embryo membership in different clusters of gene expression. The single‐embryo RNA‐seq approach is promising in climate stressor research because not only does it highlight potential impacts before phenotypic changes were observed, but it also highlights variations between individuals and lineages, thus enabling a better determination of evolutionary potential. Background: Qigong have a positive impact on the rehabilitation of motor function in stroke survivors, but there is no consensus on the effectiveness of Qigong on activities of daily living (ADL), neurological function, and life quality for patients with stroke. We aimed to quantitatively evaluate the effect of Qigong on non‐motor function and life quality in stroke patients. Methods: Electronic literature searches were performed for randomized controlled trials on this topic using PubMed and China National Knowledge Infrastructure through August 2022. The primary outcome measures were the Barthel Index, neurological deficit score (NDS), and Stroke‐Specific Quality of Life Scale (SSQLS). A random‐effects model was used to calculate the pooled mean difference (MD) with 95% confidence interval (CI). RevMan 5.4 software was used for meta‐analysis. Results: A total of 16 eligible randomized controlled trials with 1253 stroke patients were included. As indicated by the Barthel Index, Qigong was associated with the improvement in daily living activities of stroke patients (MD: 10.72, 95% CI: 5.88∼15.57). It was also found that Qigong was helpful in improving life quality (SSQLS, MD: 14.41, 95% CI: 5.56∼23.25) and reducing NDSs among them (NDS, MD: −4.56, 95% CI: −6.99∼−2.14). After sensitivity analysis, the effect of Qigong on these functions and life quality did not change significantly. By subgroup analysis of intervention duration, we found that long‐term intervention (MD: 11.83, 95% CI: 2.80∼20.86) had a better effect on the improvement of daily living activities than short‐term intervention (MD: 10.07, 95% CI: 6.15∼14.00) (pfor subgroup differences =.001). Conclusions: Pooled results suggested that Qigong had beneficial effects on ADL, neurological function, and life quality in stroke patients, which may provide an option for their rehabilitation. Cross‐border electronic commerce (CBEC) was developed from traditional e‐commerce to cater to the growing demand for online transactions among global traders. Consumer behaviour is one of the most important topics that multistakeholders (e.g., e‐commerce platforms, entrepreneurs, governments and third‐party service providers) need to understand to develop CBEC. Although for over a decade studies across disciplines and regions have explored various consumer behaviours and their factors in CBEC through diverse research methods and theoretical lenses, the current literature is still fragmented and lacks consolidation of past contributions. In the present study, we conduct a systematic literature review based on 40 CBEC studies to present an overview of the current research status of the field. This study analyzes research contexts, theoretical applications and methods, and unifies a CBEC definition as a benchmark for future research. More importantly, we employ the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S–O–R) framework to categorize factors into the inner and outer CBEC ecosystem stimuli, cognitive and affective states, and approach and avoidance behaviours, and to generalize two consumer behavioural patterns to provide a comprehensive understanding of consumer behaviours in CBEC. With the proposed future research directions, we believe that this review can serve as a fundamental and informative guideline for researchers to continue advancing knowledge of the field. Acquisition of new genes often results in the emergence of novel functions and is a key step in lineage‐specific adaptation. As a group of sessile crustaceans, barnacles establish permanent attachment through initial cement secretion at the larval phase followed by continuous cement secretion in juveniles and adults. However, the origins and evolution of barnacle larval and adult cement proteins remain poorly understood. By performing microdissection of larval cement glands, transcriptome and shotgun proteomics and immunohistochemistry validation, we identified 30 larval and 27 adult cement proteins of the epibiotic turtle barnacle Chelonibia testudinaria, of which the majority are stage‐ and barnacle‐specific. While only two proteins, SIPC and CP100K, were expressed in both larvae and adults, detection of protease inhibitors and the cross‐linking enzyme lysyl oxidase paralogs in larvae and adult cement. Other barnacle‐specific cement proteins such as CP100k and CP52k likely share a common origin dating back at least to the divergence of Rhizocephala and Thoracica. Different CP52k paralogues could be detected in larval and adult cement, suggesting stage‐specific cement proteins may arise from duplication followed by changes in expression timing of the duplicates. Interestingly, the biochemical properties of larval‐ and adult‐specific CP52k paralogues exhibited remarkable differences. We conclude that barnacle larval and adult cement systems evolved independently, and both emerged from co‐option of existing genes and de novo formation, duplication and functional divergence of lineage‐specific cement protein genes. Objective: To investigate DNA methylation (DNAm) status of dickkopf‐associated protein 1 (DKK‐1) in ossified hip capsule synovium and serum among patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Methods: Western blot was applied to detect the level of DKK‐1 protein expression in hip joint capsule tissues from four patients with AS as well as four patients with femoral neck fracture (FNF) caused by trauma as control. DKK‐1 gene promoter methylation (GPM) was examined by methylation‐specific polymerase chain reaction. Reverse transcription‐polymerase chain reaction was performed to examine the messenger RNA (mRNA) levels of DKK‐1, β‐catenin, and Wnt3a in both tissue and serum. The DNAm status of serum DKK‐1 was measured among 36 patients with AS and syndesmophytes (AS + syndesmophytes group), 40 patients with AS but no syndesmophyte (AS group), and 42 healthy individuals (control group). Also, the serum levels of DKK‐1 were measured by enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay. The modified New York criteria (mNYC) together with the modified Stoke Ankylosing Spondylitis Spinal Score (mSASSS) were adopted to examine the radiographic progression of AS. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was applied to investigate the diagnostic value of the methylation rate of DKK‐1 with regard to radiographic progression. Results: The expressions of DKK‐1 protein and mRNA in hip joint capsule tissues of AS patients were significantly lower, while DKK‐1 GPM rate, β‐catenin mRNA, and Wnt3a mRNA were markedly higher when compared with FNF group. For serum samples, the DKK‐1 methylation rate was significantly higher in AS+ syndesmophytes group in contrast to AS group and healthy controls. Serum levels of DKK‐1 protein and mRNA in AS with syndesmophytes group were markedly decreased, while β‐catenin mRNA and Wnt3a mRNA expressions were significantly increased than AS with no syndesmophyte group and the healthy control group. AS patients in Grade 4 showed a significantly higher serum DKK‐1 GPM rate than those in Grade 3 based on mNYC. Serum DKK‐1 GPM level was markedly and positively correlated with mSASSS. Serum levels of DKK‐1 in AS+ syndesmophytes group were markedly lower compared with AS but no syndesmophyte group and healthy controls. ROC curve analysis indicated that serum DKK‐1 methylation rate serves as a decent indicator for AS radiographic progression. Epstein‐Barr virus (EBV) infection is prevalent in global population and associated with multiple malignancies and autoimmune diseases. During the infection, EBV‐harbored or infected cell‐expressing antigen could elicit a variety of antibodies with significant role in viral host response and pathogenesis. These antibodies have been extensively evaluated and found to be valuable in predicting disease diagnosis and prognosis, exploring disease mechanisms, and developing antiviral agents. In this review, we discuss the versatile roles of EBV antibodies as important biomarkers for EBV‐related diseases, potential driving factors of autoimmunity, and promising therapeutic agents for viral infection and pathogenesis. Leukemia is a type of disease in which hematopoietic stem cells proliferate clonally at the genetic level. We discovered previously by high‐resolution mass spectrometry that diallyl disulfide (DADS), which is one of the effective ingredients of garlic, reduces the performance of RhoGDI2 from APL HL‐60 cells. Although RhoGDI2 is oversubscribed in several cancer categories, the effect of RhoGDI2 in HL‐60 cells has remained unexplained. We aimed to investigate the influence of RhoGDI2 on DADS‐induced differentiation of HL‐60 cells to elucidate the association among the effect of inhibition or over‐expression of RhoGDI2 with HL‐60 cell polarization, migration and invasion, which is important for establishing a novel generation of inducers to elicit leukemia cell polarization. Co‐transfection with RhoGDI2‐targeted miRNAs apparently decreases the malignant biological behavior of cells and upregulates cytopenias in DADS‐treated HL‐60 cell lines, which increases CD11b and decreases CD33 and mRNA levels of Rac1, PAK1 and LIMK1. Meanwhile, we generated HL‐60 cell lines with high‐expressing RhoGDI2. The proliferation, migration and invasion capacity of such cells were significantly increased by the treated with DADS, while the reduction capacity of the cells was decreased. There was a reduction in CD11b and an increase in CD33 production, as well as an increase in the mRNA levels of Rac1, PAK1 and LIMK1. It also confirmed that inhibition of RhoGDI2 attenuates the EMT cascade via the Rac1/Pak1/LIMK1 pathway, thereby inhibiting the malignant biological behavior of HL‐60 cells. Thus, we considered that inhibition of RhoGDI2 expression might be a new therapeutic direction for the treatment of human promyelocytic leukemia. The anti‐cancer property of DADS against HL‐60 leukemia cells might be regulated by RhoGDI2 through the Rac1‐Pak1‐LIMK1 pathway, which provides new evidence for DADS as a clinical anti‐cancer medicine. Thermochromic phosphors are intriguing materials for realizing thermochromic behaviors of light‐emitting diodes. Here a highly luminescent and stable thermochromic phosphor based on one‐dimensional Cu4I6(4‐dimethylamino‐1‐ethylpyridinium)2 is reported. This unique ionic copper‐iodine chain‐based hybrid exhibits near‐unity photoluminescence efficiency owing to the through‐space charge‐transfer character of relevant electronic transitions. More importantly, an alternative mechanism of thermochromic phosphorescence was unraveled, supported by a first principles simulation of concerted copper atom migration in the copper‐iodine chain. Furthermore, we successfully fabricate a bright thermochromic light‐emitting diode using this Cu4I6(4‐dimethylamino‐1‐ethylpyridinium)2 thermochromic phosphor. Color is one of the most distinctive qualities of red wine. Despite new knowledge in the field of pigment identification, copigmentation, and oxidation being forthcoming, there is still a large gap between the fundamental research and practical winemaking outcomes. A state‐of‐art review from these two aspects is, therefore, necessary. This review first introduces updated knowledge about the primary pigments in wine, with emphasis on their physicochemical properties. Then, the mechanisms of copigmentation and oxidation are elucidated in detail, along with their relative contributions to wine color. Finally, the practical effects of copigmentation and micro‐oxygenation (MOX) in winemaking are summarized and discussed. In general, wine coloration is ultimately determined by the anthocyanin flavylium cation, which is greatly influenced by wine pH. In young red wine, grape‐derived anthocyanins and nonanthocyanin polyphenols (as copigments) are the foundation for wine coloration. During aging and storage, anthocyanin derivatives are formed via various chemical reactions, where moderate oxidation plays a vital role, whereas copigmentation constantly decreases. The essence of wine color evolution relates to the changes of physicochemical properties of primary pigments in wine, where the hydration equilibrium gradually diminishes. In practice, the effects of copigment addition and MOX during real vinification can be viewed as somewhat controversial, considering that many studies showed different effects on wine color and pigment concentration. Patients treated with segmental mandibulectomy often require complicated rehabilitation. Transparent displays suffer from background image blur due to light diffraction when passing through periodic pixel structures. A simple, reference‐image free and semi‐analytical model based on diffraction theory and human eye's angular resolution is proposed to quantitatively evaluate the diffraction effect of transparent displays. Several factors including object distance, resolution and aperture ratio are analyzed with our model to establish guidelines for minimizing the diffraction effect in transparent displays. By optimizing the pixel structures within a 2 × 2‐pixel size region, the relative diffraction intensity is reduced by 42% at the 50% aperture ratio regardless of pixel density, which is valuable for achieving diffraction‐less high resolution and low aperture ratio transparent displays with current fabrication technologies. Acute environmental changes cause stress during conventional deep‐sea biological sampling without in situ fixation and affect gene expressions of samples collected. However, the degree of influence and underlying mechanisms are hardly investigated. Here, we conducted comparative transcriptomic analyses between in situ and onboard fixed gills and between in situ and onboard fixed mantles of deep‐sea mussel Gigantidas haimaensis to assess the effects of incidental sampling stress. Results showed that transcription, translation, and energy metabolism were upregulated in onboard fixed gills and mantles, thereby mobilizing rapid gene expression to tackle the stress. Autophagy and phagocytosis that related to symbiotic interactions between the host and endosymbiont were downregulated in the onboard fixed gills. These findings demonstrated that symbiotic gill and nonsymbiotic mantle responded differently to sampling stress, and symbiosis in the gill was perturbed. Further comparative metatranscriptomic analysis between in situ and onboard fixed gills revealed that stress response genes, peptidoglycan biosynthesis, and methane fixation were upregulated in the onboard fixed endosymbiotic Gammaproteobacteria inside the gills, implying that energy metabolism of the endosymbiont was increased to cope with sampling stress. Furthermore, comparative analysis between the mussel G. haimaensis and the limpet Bathyacmaea lactea transcriptomes resultedidentified six transcription factor orthologs upregulated in both onboard fixed mussel mantles and limpets, including sharply increased early growth response protein 1 and Kruppel‐like factor 5. They potentially play key roles in initiating the response of sampled deep‐sea macrobenthos to sampling stress. Recently, "liquid crystal display (LCD), organic light‐emitting diode (OLED), or micro‐light‐emitting diode (LED): who wins?" is a heated debatable question. In this review article, we provide a comprehensive overview of these three promising display technologies through nine display performance indicators, including ambient contrast ratio, motion picture response time, viewing angle and angular color shift, color gamut, resolution density, power consumption, cost, lifetime, and thin profile and panel flexibility. We propose a patterned cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) polymer film as a self‐assembled Bragg reflector to enhance the performance of a color‐converted micro‐light‐emitting diode (LED) display system. In the display system, we firstly optimize the device structure of blue LED chip to maintain a high light extraction efficiency and low optical crosstalk. Next, we fabricate several patterned CLC films with feature sizes ranging from 10 to 80 μm. By integrating the patterned CLC film into a color‐conversion micro‐LED display, the optical efficiency is doubled while keeping a color gamut of about 90% Rec. 2020. A full‐color micro‐LED display can be achieved by red, green, and blue (RGB) chips or by a blue/ultraviolet (UV) micro‐LED array to pump downconverters. The latter helps relieve the burden of epitaxial growth of tri‐color micro‐LED chips. However, such a color‐converted micro‐LED system usually suffers from color crosstalk and low efficiency due to limited optical density of color converters. With funnel‐tube array and reflective coating on its inner surface, the crosstalk is eliminated, and the optical efficiency can be improved by more than two times. In addition, the ambient contrast ratio is also improved because of higher light intensity. The color gamut of this device is approximately 92% of DCI‐P3 standard. The color crosstalk of color‐converted micro‐LED displays is eliminated by the funnel‐tube array. We develop an experimentally validated numerical simulation model to characterize the electro‐optic properties of uniform standing helix (USH) cholesteric liquid crystal displays. Based on the proposed numerical model, the viewing angle properties are analyzed by taking the optical polarization rotation effect into consideration. BACKGROUND Monosaccharides, organic acids and amino acids are the important flavour-related components in wines. The aim of this article is to develop and validate a method that could simultaneously analyse these compounds in wine based on silylation derivatisation and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), and apply this method to the investigation of the changes of these compounds and speculate upon their related influences on Cabernet Sauvignon wine flavour during wine ageing. This work presented a new approach for wine analysis and provided more information concerning red wine ageing. RESULTS This method could simultaneously quantitatively analyse 2 monosaccharides, 8 organic acids and 13 amino acids in wine. A validation experiment showed good linearity, sensitivity, reproducibility and recovery. Multiple derivatives of five amino acids have been found but their effects on quantitative analysis were negligible, except for methionine. The evolution pattern of each category was different, and we speculated that the corresponding mechanisms involving microorganism activities, physical interactions and chemical reactions had a great correlation with red wine flavours during ageing. The Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench is the deepest point in the oceans of our planet. Understanding how animals adapt to this harsh environment characterized by high hydrostatic pressure, food limitation, dark and cold is of great scientific interest. Of the animals dwelling in the Challenger Deep, amphipods have been captured using baited traps. In this study, we sequenced the transcriptome of the amphipod Hirondellea gigas collected at a depth of 10,929 m from the East Pond of the Challenger Deep. Assembly of these sequences resulted in 133,041 contigs and 22,046 translated proteins. Functional annotation of these contigs was made using the go and kegg databases. Comparison of these translated proteins with those of four shallow-water amphipods revealed 10,731 gene families, of which 5659 were single-copy orthologs. Base substitution analysis on these single-copy orthologs showed that 62 genes are positively selected in H. gigas, including genes related to β-alanine biosynthesis, energy metabolism and genetic information processing. For multiple-copy orthologous genes, gene family expansion analysis revealed that cold-inducible proteins (i.e., transcription factors II A and transcription elongation factor 1) as well as zinc finger domains are expanded in H. gigas. Overall, our results indicate that genetic adaptation to the hadal environment by H. gigas may be mediated by both gene family expansion and amino acid substitutions of specific proteins. We propose a novel pixel circuit using source-follower structure to be independent of frequency effect of blue-phase liquid crystal displays (BPLCDs). Simulation results indicated that required gray-level-voltages across the BPLC could be achieved accurately when a proper threshold voltage of the driving TFT was chosen. The figure of merit (FoM) is defined to evaluate the performance of ULH devices. The trade-offs between operation voltage, transmittance, and response time in uniform lying helix (ULH) cholesteric liquid crystals (CLC) are investigated. Excellent agreement between theory and experiment is achieved. The viewing angle of ULH displays is also studied. Our results give first quantitative demonstration that ULH exhibits a similar viewing angle to IPS. After phase compensation, the isocontrast ratio of ULH can reach >100:1 over 85° viewing cone. An optimized blue-phase liquid crystal (BPLC) with a moderate dielectric constant, manageable capacitor charging time, high voltage holding ratio, and submillisecond gray-to-gray response time at room temperature is developed. Using protruded triangular IPS electrodes, the operation voltage can be reduced to 15V while keeping ~74% transmittance. Such a BPLC enables single-TFT addressing and 240-Hz operation. Potential application for color-sequential displays is emphasized. We propose a new electrode configuration, called diamond-shape in-plane switching (DIPS), to lower the operation voltage of polymer-stabilized blue-phase liquid crystal displays (BPLCDs). Using an industrially-proven BPLC mixture, we can obtain 75% peak transmittance at 15 V, while keeping fast response time. Our DIPS structure enables single-TFT per pixel to drive BPLCDs. A reasonably good alignment of a uniform lying helix (ULH) liquid crystal is achieved and its gray-to-gray (GTG) response time investigated. A broadband anti-reflection surface with moth-eye structure for sunlight readable flexible displays is demonstrated. The proposed nanostructure exhibits excellent anti-reflection performance (luminous reflectance 0.23%), low haze (0.95%), great flexibility (curve radius <8 mm), high hardness (>3H) and self-cleaning characteristics. Transcriptional repressor activating transcription factor 3 (ATF3) is induced by various stress stimuli, including inflammation-induced renal injury. In addition, ATF3 also down-regulates adhesion molecules like intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM), vascular cell adhesion molecule (VCAM), and monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1). However, the relation between up-regulated ATF3 after renal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury and MCP-1 is not completely understood. In this study, we demonstrated that, in renal I/R induced inflammation, induction of adhesion molecules (interleukin-6, P-selectin, E-selectin, ICAM, VCAM, and MCP-1) was higher in ATF3-knockout mice than in wild-type animals. Molecular and biochemical analyses revealed that ATF3 binds to the ATF/CRE sites in the MCP-1 promoter and inhibits the secretion of MCP-1 from renal epithelial cells after I/R injury. Urinary exosome containing ATF3 RNA was 60-fold higher in patients with acute kidney injury than in normal controls, but no difference in total urinary ATF3 RNA levels was found. In addition, in vitro study showed that exosome containing ATF3 RNA derived from epithelial cells also inhibits MCP-1 expression in the epithelial cells and macrophage migration. Furthermore, direct administration of the epithelium-derived exosomal ATF3 RNA attenuates I/R induced kidney injury. Together, our studies reveal a novel regulatory mechanism of MCP-1 expression mediated by the exosomal ATF3 RNA under renal I/R insult and suggest a potential targeted therapy for I/R induced acute kidney injury. Experimental evidence proves that polymer-stabilized blue phase liquid crystal is not perfectly optically isotropic. The optical rotatory power (ORP) of double twist cylinders causes the polarization axis of the transmitted light to rotate a small angle, and leaks through the crossed polarizers. We investigate how the Global 500 companies respond to the challenge of climate change with regard to their carbon disclosure strategies. This paper is motivated by a growing body of research that examines the role of large companies in carbon disclosure responsibility and practices. We consider the impact of social, financial market, economic, regulatory, and institutional factors on the motivation to voluntarily participate in the 2009 Carbon Disclosure Project. We find that economic pressure is significantly associated with the decision. That is, companies facing direct economic consequence are more likely to disclose. Companies in greenhouse gas ( GHG) intensive sectors show the same tendency. In addition, big companies have a higher propensity for disclosing, suggesting that social pressure plays an important role. We also provide possible explanations as to why a large proportion of our sample firms refuse to disclose. Furthermore, our results suggest that the proxies for information needs of investors are not associated with a higher propensity to disclose the amount of their emission footprints. In sum, it appears that the major driving force for climate change disclosure comes from the general public and government rather than from the other major stakeholders such as shareholders and debtholders. Adiponectin (APN), a circulating adipose-derived hormone that regulates inflammation and energy metabolism, has beneficial effects on the cardiovascular disorders. Serum APN levels are lower in patients with coronary artery disease and higher in patients with chronic kidney disease. However, the precise role of APN in acute reno-vascular disease is not clear. Results of the present study show that serum APN concentration decreased after renal ischemia reperfusion (I/R) injury in mice. In addition, I/R-induced renal dysfunction (elevated serum creatinine and urea levels), inflammation (number of infiltrating neutrophils, myeloperoxidase activity), and apoptotic responses (apoptotic cell number and caspase-3 activation) were attenuated in APN-treated compared to control mice. Molecular and biochemical analysis revealed that APN up-regulates heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) via peroxisome-proliferator-activated-receptor-α (PPARα) dependent pathway which is mediated through the enhancement of COX-2 and 6-keto PGF1α expression. Chromatin immune-precipitation assay demonstrated that APN increases the binding activity of PPARα to PPRE region of HO-1 promoter. Furthermore, APN induced HO-1 expression was only found in wild-type but not in PPARα gene deleted mice. This provides in vivo evidence that APN mediated HO-1 expression depends on PPARα regulation. Regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) is a hole transport polymer material used in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) and can reach mobilities as high as 0.1 cm2 V−1 s−1. Factors that affect the charge mobility and the transport mechanisms of P3HT-based OFET systems are therefore of great importance. We use quantum mechanical methods to interpret the charge mobility and the transport properties of self-assembled P3HT molecules along the intra-chain and inter-chain directions. Our approach is illustrated by a hopping transport model, in which we examine the variation of charge mobility with torsional angle and the intermolecular distance between two adjacent thiophene segments. We also simulate packed P3HT structures via molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. The MD results indicate that the resultant mobility along the π−π inter-chain direction is significantly less than that along the intra-chain direction. Accordingly, the main charge-transfer route within the P3HT ordered domains is an intra-chain rather than an inter-chain one. The calculation result for the inter-chain hole mobility is around 10−2 cm2 V−1 s−1, which is consistent with experimental data from P3HT single fibril. Eltrombopag, a nonpeptide thrombopoietin receptor agonist, is primarily used for treating immune thrombocytopenic purpura. The aim of this study was to investigate the pharmacokinetic profile and food‐drug interaction of test and reference eltrombopag olamine tablets among healthy Chinese volunteers. An open, randomized, single‐dose, 2‐period crossover design was employed, involving fasting and fed conditions with a 10‐day washout period. Ninety‐six healthy volunteers received a single oral dose of 25 mg of the 2 eltrombopag formulations, with 48 participants in each group: fasting volunteers and those consuming a high‐fat, low‐calcium meal. Plasma eltrombopag concentrations were analyzed using liquid chromatography‐tandem mass spectrometry, and pharmacokinetic parameters were derived from the concentration‐time profiles. The geometric mean ratios, with 90% confidence intervals, for the maximum plasma concentration, area under the concentration‐time curve from time 0 to the last measurable concentration, and area under the concentration‐time curve from time 0 to infinity fell within the bioequivalence acceptance criteria (80%‐125%) under both fasting and fed conditions, indicating bioequivalence between the test and reference formulations. Administration of eltrombopag with a high‐fat, low‐calcium diet reduced the net systemic exposure by approximately 40%. Adverse events were recorded, and no serious adverse events were observed in either fasting or fed conditions. In conclusion, eltrombopag is well tolerated and exhibits a favorable safety profile in the Chinese population. Blue phase liquid crystal displays (BPLCDs) have attracted considerable attention in recent years because of its many advantages. However, BPLCDs exhibit narrow temperature range, high driving voltage, and tough process. In our works, polymer-stabilized technology using newly optimized BPLC material was applied to enlarge BP temperature range. In order to overcome high driving voltage, 2D1G design was used to apply conventional source driver IC for cost. Furthermore, novel groove cell structure which could gain more effective electric field without adding special masks for the groove was successfully implemented.
