In the title compound, C21H21N3O3, the pyrazolone and the N atom of the glycine ethyl ester group are essentially coplanar. The compound is a neutral tridentate ligand in an en­amine–keto form, stabilized by two strong intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
