This study describes the invasion of the upper Paraná River basin by Pterygoplichthys ambrosettii based on a literature review and field samples. Pterygoplichthys ambrosettii has been reported in 42 localities throughout the upper Paraná River basin, including the Tietê, Paranapanema, Paraná, Grande and Aguapeí rivers. The ascent of P. ambrosettii after the inundation of the Sete Quedas Falls on the Paraná River and the release of individuals by aquarium hobbyists were the primary drivers of this invasion. The present study provides length-weight ( LWR) and total length-standard length ( LLR) relationships for 16 freshwater fish species collected in coastal rivers of the northern Brazilian, state of Amapá in 2015. Fishes were caught in heterogenic environments like ponds, stream and river channel with sieve and trawl. As result, we present novel information of LWR and LLR for 11 and 15 species, respectively. Length-weight relationships (LWRs) for 35 freshwater fish species from the SP/RJ coastal basin in Brazil are presented in this paper. Fishes were captured between 2011 and 2015 on an irregular basis using electrofishing, sieves, trawl nets, cast nets and fish-traps. In this study new LWRs are reported for 28 species, plus the total weight and length for 34 and nine species, respectively. The article discusses the study on the occurrence of dojo fish (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) in the Upper Paraná River Basin in southeastern Brazil. The study shows the impact of a variety of environments on the species wherein morphometric differences have found on the captured species. The study suggests that the species could easily establish itself when released in a non-native environment.

This paper presents length-weight relationships ( LWR) for 11 freshwater fish species from the Sapucaí-Mirim River, a tributary of the Grande River basin, São Paulo, Brazil. The specimens were captured in quarterly samplings between March 2011 and December 2014, using gillnets of mesh size: 1.5-9.0 cm between knots. This work describes the length-weight relationship ( LWR) of 37 fish species from the Taquari River, one of the tributaries of the Jurumirim Reservoir in the high Paranapanema Basin, São Paulo, Brazil. Information was not yet available in FishBase on LWRs of 22 of the fish species and maximum weights (Wt) of 24 of the fish species.
