Abstract

The title structure, [Rh2(C7H5O3)4(C2H6OS)2]·[Rh2(C4H7­O2)4(C2H6OS)2]·2C2H6O, contains two discrete neutral Rh-Rh dimers cocrystallized as the ethanol disolvate. Each dimer is situated on an inversion center. The butyrate chain displays disorder in one C-atom position. In each dimer, the di­methyl sulfoxide ligand (dmso) is bound via S, as expected. The ethanol is a hydrogen-bond acceptor for one p-hydroxy­benzoate hydroxyl group and acts as a hydrogen-bond donor to the dmso O atom of a neighboring p-hydroxy­benzoate dirhodium complex. A third hydrogen bond is formed from the other p-hydroxy­benzoate hydroxyl group to the dmso O atom of a butyrate-dirhodium complex. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Addition of 1,2-phenylenediamine to solutions ofbis(1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoropentane-2,4-dionato- O, O′)cobalt(II),-iron(II) and -nickel(II) resulted in crystals containing centrosymmetric octahedral complexes with two amines per metal atom. In all three iso­structural complexes, i.e. [ M(C5HF6O2)2(C6H8N2)2] where M = Fe, Cu and Ni, the two C-N bonds differ significantly in length by an average of 0.031 (3) Å. The phenyl C-C bonds display a pattern of small differences, the C-C bond between the amines being longer than the shortest phenyl C-C bonds by an average of 0.022 (4) Å. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The title salt, K[Co(C2H8N2)(CO3)2]·H2O, consists of a distorted octahedral cobalt complex anion and a seven-coordinate potassium cation. Both metal atoms have crystallographic twofold symmetry, one C2 axis passing through the Co atom and C-C bond, and another along a short K-O (water) bond of 2.600 Å (corrected for libration). The carbonate is bidentate to both cobalt and potassium and the water forms a hydrogen bond to a carbonate O atom. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The double salt [CuCl2(H2O)2{CdCl2}]·2H2O crystallizes in the triclinic rather than the monoclinic system as reported previously. The structure consists of sheets in the ac plane with slightly distorted octahedral CdCl6 [Cd-Cl 2.5813 (8)-2.6943 (8) Å] connected by Cd-Cl-Cd bridges in the Cd equatorial plane along a, and by Cd-Cl-Cu bridges to layers of square-planar CuCl2(H2O)2 along c. There are long axial Cu-Cl interactions of 2.8623 (7) Å and additional water of hydration is hydrogen bonded to coordinated water and chloride ligands. The additional water connects the ac sheets into a three-dimensional network. Both Cd and Cu occupy different sites. The Cu⋯Cu and Cd⋯Cd distances are 3.8274 (6) Å. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The crystal structure of the title compound, [C(NH(2))(3)](6)[Mo(7)O(24)]·H(2)O, previously determined at room temperature in the monoclinic space group C2/c from Weissenberg techniques [Don & Weakley (1981 ▶). Acta Cryst. B37, 451-453], has been redetermined from low-temperature single-crystal data in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c. The asymmetric unit contains one hepta-molybdate anion, six guanidinium cations and one water mol-ecule of hydration. The anions and cations are linked by an extensive network of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
