Compared to patients readmitted to general wards, readmitted patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) are exposed to higher mortality rates and prolonged hospital stays. Moreover, the readmission of ICU patients brings pressing challenges for ICU management. Most models are devoted to identifying the risk factors and developing classification models that can predict whether ICU patients will be readmitted. Though these models are prominent, they do not provide estimates for the frequency of readmissions. This paper establishes a prediction model, hybrid feature selection‐LightGBM (HFS‐LightGBM), to evaluate the probability and frequency of ICU patient readmissions empirically. In terms of feature selection, a hybrid feature selection (HFS) algorithm for LightGBM combines the filter and wrapper methods. Pearson's correlation coefficient is employed in the filter procedure. Then we adopt the targeted LightGBM classifier along with the recursive feature elimination and cross‐validated (RFECV) to produce the optimal feature subset. Additionally, the hyperparameters of the HFS‐LightGBM are optimized. The HFS‐LightGBM is employed on the real‐world ICU dataset containing 1722 patients' electronic health records. This model outperforms the current prevailing readmission models. The identified frequency can assist doctors in making specific interventions for patients to reduce the ICU readmission rate. We developed an online continuous‐flow spectrophotometric method for determination of ferrous iron and total iron mass fractions in various types of geological certified reference materials (CRMs) using a Schlenk line technique to exclude oxygen during the digestion process. The continuous‐flow technique enabled automatic, reliable and real‐time analysis, and decreased sample and reagent consumption. The Schlenk line expels air to prevent oxidation during sample digestion. Compared with traditional spectrophotometric procedures, this analytical procedure is easier, more automated and more accurate. The composition of the acid matrix and time used to dissolve the samples were carefully examined. The procedure was tested on 186 replicates of twenty‐seven rock CRMs, and the results showed good agreement with the compiled values from the literature. Based on the statistical data, the proposed procedure was found to be accurate within 0.12% m/m for ferrous iron mass fraction and 0.084% m/m for total iron mass fraction compared with the certified/recommended values. Gastroscopy is important for finding suspicious stomach lesions, screening for gastric cancer, and providing early diagnoses. Due to the differences in the levels of diagnosis and treatment among gastroscope doctors, clinical diagnosis based on gastroscopy is limited by low diagnostic sensitivity and specificity to gastric cancer. An assistive system for gastroscopy report analysis can be helpful to improve the success rate of gastric cancer detection. In this study, a homogeneous ensemble decision support system for gastric cancer screening (Endo‐GCS) that performs word segmentation, feature extraction, and gastric cancer screening on text‐based gastroscopy reports is proposed. The proposed Endo‐GCS method establishes a progressive local weighting algorithm that improves the overall prediction performance of the homogeneous ensemble model in gastric cancer screening. An optimal threshold estimation algorithm is developed to minimize the negative impact of misdiagnosis and missed diagnoses. Through a comparative experimental study using real gastroscopy report data, the pathological examination conclusion is the gold standard. The sensitivity of the proposed Endo‐GCS method is 88.27%, the specificity is 77.84%, and the accuracy is 82.11%, which significantly improved the sensitivity 65.49% and the accuracy 80.5% of the gastroscopic diagnosis results, respectively. Endoscopy is an important tool for gastric cancer screening. Due to the lack of effective decision support system for endoscopy, the detection of gastric cancer in the clinic is usually with low sensitivity. In this paper, we propose a Genetic Algorithm optimized Neural Network (GAoNN) approach for gastric cancer detection based on endoscopy reports mining. Considering the fact that gastric cancer sensitivity can significantly improve the 5‐year survival rate of patients, both the prediction accuracy and the sensitivity are employed to construct a multiobjective optimization model for enhancing the classification performance of GAoNN. In particular, we extended an effective genetic algorithm Nondominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA‐II) to train a neural network and reduced the complexity in training hyperparameters and improved the efficiency by substituting the computationally intensive stochastic gradient descent (SGD) algorithm in a neural network. Specifically, we designed the novel crossover and mutation operators and modified the nondominated ranking and crowding distance sorting procedures in NSGA‐II for GAoNN. Through testing on 8,546 real‐world endoscopy reports, we show that GAoNN achieves a prediction accuracy up to 83.74%, which is better than several competitors by significantly increasing sensitivity to 83.14%. GAoNN also reduces the training time by 30.94% when compared with conventional SGD‐based training, which indicates the feasibility of GAoNN in clinical practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Duolong area is the most important part of the Western Bangong-Nujiang Suture Zone porphyry Cu(Au) metallogenic belt, in Tibet, China. Here new detailed data are presented from LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb, whole-rock geochemical, and in-situ zircon Hf isotope analyses for igneous rocks in the large Naruo deposit (2.51 Mt of Cu and 82 t of Au) which is located ∼2 km NE of the Duolong (Duobuza and Bolong) super-large gold-rich porphyry copper deposit. We integrated our results with previous research of other porphyry deposits in the Duolong area and have identified the timing, geodynamic setting, and petrogenesis of the mineralization-associated magmatic events. Based on the measurements, the Duolong area porphyry Cu(Au) deposit formations are associated with Early Cretaceous intermediate-felsic magmatism, which is consistent with U-Pb zircon ages of 120 Ma. All the main intrusive rocks in the ore-concentrated area have similar lithogeochemical characteristics; they show a relative enrichment in both light rare earth elements (LREEs) and large-ion lithophile elements (LILEs: Rb, Ba, K, etc.) and relative depletion in both heavy rare earth elements (HREEs) and high field strength elements (HFSEs: Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf, etc.). Moreover, the granite porphyry shows positive εHf( t) values between 1.38-7.37 suggesting that magmas were potentially derived from the partial melting of a depleted mantle wedge that had been metasomatized by subducted slab-derived fluids or melts. This paper points out that the formation of the porphyry-epithermal Cu(Au) deposit in the Duolong area was dominated by northward subduction of the Bangongco Tethys Plate beneath the Qiangtang block in the Early Cretaceous (124-114 Ma), when the subducted oceanic crust reached 50-70 km underground and generated different degrees of phase transformation, which lead to a melt produced by dehydration of amphibole minerals, a metasomatized mantle wedge, and induced mantle partial melting that produced the magma. Those deposits occurred in a continental arc tectonic setting, which is similar to the continental margin arc environment of the ocean-continent subduction setting of the Andes metallogenic belt in South America. Macrophages play a pivotal role in the immunological cascade activated in response to biomedical implants, which predetermine acceptance or rejection of implants by the host via pro‐ and anti‐inflammatory polarisation states. The role of chemical signals in macrophage polarisation is well‐established, but how physical cues regulate macrophage function that may play a fundamental role in implant‐bone interface, remains poorly understood. Here we find that bone marrow‐derived macrophages (BMDM) cultured on polyacrylamide gels of varying stiffness exhibit different polarisation states. BMDM are ‘primed’ to a pro‐inflammatory M1 phenotype on stiff substrates, while to an anti‐inflammatory M2 phenotype on soft and medium stiffness substrates. It is further observed that matrix stiffening increases Piezo1 expression, as well as leads to subsequent activation of the mechanotransduction signalling effector YAP, thus favouring M1 polarisation whilst suppressing M2 polarisation. Moreover, upon treatment with YAP inhibitor, we successfully induce macrophage re‐polarisation to the M2 state within the implant site microenvironment, which in turn promotes implant osseointegration. Collectively, our present study thus characterises the critical role of the Piezo1‐YAP signalling axis in macrophage mechanosensing and stiffness‐mediated macrophage polarisation and provides cues for the design of immuno‐modulatory biomaterials that can regulate the macrophage phenotype. Summary: Comparing with traditional pulse width modulation technique, the transient performances of the high step‐up DC/DC converters can be significantly improved by one‐cycle control (OCC) technique, which is an appropriate control strategy for interface converters directly connecting the renewable energies to the DC microgrid. However, the suitability of OCC for these converters is rarely studied. One‐cycle controllability of the high step‐up DC/DC Boost converter with coupled inductor is studied with theoretical researches and experimental verifications. First, with the analysis on the operating modes of the converter, its periodic switched linear system model and the criterion for OCC are established. Furthermore, one‐cycle controllability of the converter is calculated in detail. Final, a prototype of the high step‐up converter from 48 to 380 V is prepared. Experimental results indicate that the disturbances in the input of the high step‐up converter can be depressed within only one switching cycle. Ideal dynamic characteristic for the converter under disturbance in the output is also achieved. In this article, the yolk–shell structure of resin‐based carbon spheres (YRFC) and the solid structure of resin‐based carbon spheres (SRFC) were prepared by condensation polymerization, and then novel spherical composites of poly(3,4‐propylenedioxythiophene)/YRFC (PProDOT/YRFC) and PProDOT/SRFC were obtained by in situ chemical oxidative polymerization. The prepared composites were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultraviolet–visible absorption spectra (UV–vis), Raman, X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), X‐ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Electrochemical behavior of the composites were investigated with reference to their suitability as electrode materials in electrochemical capacitors (ECs), which were accomplished by a combination of cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge cycles. The resultant PProDOT/YRFC composite showed ideal charge storage capacity with a specific capacitance of 327.5 F g−1 at the current density of 1 A g−1, which is much higher than that of the materials of PProDOT/SRFC (298.1 F g−1) and PProDOT (180.9 F g−1). Furthermore, long cycle life was achieved with the optimized PProDOT/YRFC and the capacitance retention is 87.3% after 10,000 charge/discharge processes, which was attributed to its uniformly dispersible fluffy structure. Abstract: The magnetic relaxation and magnetization blocking barriers of tailor‐made homo‐ and heterodinuclear compounds [Dy2(opch)2(OAc)2(H2O)2]⋅MeOH (1) and [DyMn(opch)2(OAc)(MeOH)(H2O)2] (2), where H2opch is (E)‐N′‐(2‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxybenzylidene)pyrazine‐2‐carbohydrazide, were systematically investigated and the change in single‐molecule magnet behavior originating from targeted replacement of one dysprosium site in the Dy2 compound with manganese was elucidated through a combination of experimental and theoretical studies. A detailed comparative study on these closely related model compounds revealed remarkable changes of the crystal‐field splitting and anisotropy of the Dy site and the total exchange spectrum due to the replacement of Dy by Mn. The blocking barriers of these two compounds, which explain their different relaxation behaviors, were analyzed. The two Ising doublets arising from the magnetic interaction in the case of 1 are strongly uniaxial, with tunneling splittings smaller than 10−6 cm−1, and this leads to magnetic relaxation at temperatures exceeding the exchange energy (2.14 cm−1), which involves transition via the excited states corresponding to local transitions on the excited doublet at the Dy site. The third and fourth exchange doublets in 2 (located at 2.16 and 3.25 cm−1, respectively) show much larger tunneling splittings (of 10−4 and 10−3 cm−1, respectively), and thus open an important path for magnetic relaxation. Three new phenolate oxygen bridged transition metal complexes [Zn3(HL1)3(μ3-CH3O)]·(ClO4)2(H2O)3 ( 1), [Ni2(HL1)2(μ1,1-N3)(o-vanillin)]·H2O ( 2), [Ni3(HL2)2(PhCOO)2(PhCOOH)2(EtOH)2] ( 3) have been synthesized by metal ions and potentially multidentate Schiff base ligands (H2L1 = 2-((1-hydroxy-2-methylpropan-2-ylimino) methyl)-6-methoxyphenol; H3L2 = ( E)-1-((2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-benzylidene)amino)ethane-1,2-diol). All the three complexes 1, 2, and 3 have been characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Crystal structures reveal that complex 1 is a trinuclear incomplete cubane-like zinc cluster whereas complex 2 is a dinuclear nickel complex bridged by azide, and compound 3 is a trinuclear nickel complex. On the basis of the technique of time reversal (TR), through adding dispersive delay lines to each element of a TR mirror, a method for low contrast tumour detection is proposed. When compared with a conventional detection method, the proposed method improves refocusing onto a low dielectric contrast tumour. The method does not require an accurate estimate of the position of the tumour. On the basis of the technique of time reversal (TR), a new method for low dielectric contrast target detection in clutter by adding dispersive delay lines (DDLs) to each element of the TR mirror (TRM) is proposed. When compared with a conventional TR system, the proposed method improves refocusing to a target by reducing the impact of other scatterers in the environment. The proposed method makes it unnecessary to estimate the position of the target and removes the need for subsequent subtraction as traditionally required.
