Abstract

The article focuses on a study on how early event-related cortical activity originating in the frontal eye fields and inferior parietal lobe predicts the occurrence of correct and error saccades. Data related to an experiment which tries to explain correct (voluntary) and error (reflexive) saccades are presented. It concludes that voluntary saccades have longer latency than reflexive saccades and saccade latencies were significantly shorter for error compared to correct saccades.
