A recent survey conducted in France aimed to assess the knowledge and understanding of myopia among the general population. The results showed that a majority of participants had a poor understanding of myopia, with many providing incorrect definitions and lacking knowledge about the signs, risk factors, and complications of myopia. The survey highlights the need for public education about myopia, particularly among parents who play a significant role in influencing their children's lifestyle choices. Improving knowledge about myopia is crucial for promoting eye health and ensuring access to appropriate healthcare in the future. [Extracted from the article]
