Primary pancreatic lymphoma (PPL) is a rare disease representing 0.1% of malignant lymphomas, which lacks well‐defined diagnostic and therapeutic protocols. Objectives: To describe PPL clinical, diagnostic and histological characteristics, together with therapy and outcome, in a relatively large series of patients. Methods: The study includes 39 PPL patients, aged ≥15 years, observed from January 2005 to December 2018, in 8 Italian Institutions. Results: The main symptoms were abdominal pain (58%) and jaundice (47%). Lactate dehydrogenase serum levels were elevated in 43% of patients. Histological specimens were mostly obtained by percutaneous (41%) or endoscopic (36%) biopsy, with diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma being the most frequent (69%) histological diagnosis. Chemotherapy was administered alone in 65% of patients, with radiotherapy in 17%, or after surgery in 9%. The 2‐year overall survival (OS) was 62%, the 2‐year progression‐free survival (PFS) 44%. Debulking surgery (with or without chemotherapy) was associated with a significant worse OS. Three (9.4%) of 32 high‐grade patients experienced a central nervous system (CNS) relapse. Conclusions: PPL is rare, often high‐grade, with symptoms and localization similar to other pancreatic malignancies. Biopsy should be the preferred diagnostic method. Objective: Subjects with cleft lip and palate (CLP) present high prevalence of dental agenesis. Among candidate genes for these phenotypes is IRF6. However, genetic studies do not analyze dental agenesis as a phenotype associated with cleft. Therefore, we investigated the frequency of rare and novel variations in IRF6 in subjects with non‐syndromic unilateral cleft lip and palate (NSUCLP), with and without dental agenesis. Subjects and Methods: Genomic DNA samples of 100 subjects with NSUCLP with and without dental agenesis and 50 controls were sequenced. IRF6 mutational screening was conducted by direct sequencing. Results: Ten new and rare missense variations were identified, two in the group cleft with agenesis and eight in the group cleft without agenesis, and none were found in control group. In silico analysis revealed four variations as potentially deleterious, being two in the group with cleft and agenesis and two in the group with cleft without agenesis. Conclusion: The study identified novel IFR6 variations in subjects with NSUCLP with or without associated dental agenesis. The hypothesis of a higher frequency of deleterious variations in the subjects with cleft associated with dental agenesis, when compared to the group of cleft without agenesis and control without cleft, was not supported. Abstract: The relationship between clinicopathologic diagnosis and 123I‐FP‐CIT SPECT in 18 patients with dementia (12 with Lewy body disease) from one center in the United States was assessed. The sensitivity and specificity of abnormal 123I‐FP‐CIT SPECT with reduced striatal uptake on visual inspection for predicting Lewy body disease were 91.7% and 83.3%, respectively. The mean calculated putamen to occipital ratio (mPOR) based on regions of interest was significantly reduced in Lewy body disease compared to non‐Lewy body disease cases (P = 0.002). In this study, abnormal 123I‐FP‐CIT SPECT was strongly associated with underlying Lewy body disease pathology, supporting the utility of 123I‐FP‐CIT SPECT in the clinical diagnosis of dementia with Lewy bodies. Seizures are observed with a frequency of 3-21% in children with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders ( FASD). However, clinical, neuroradiologic, and electroencephalography ( EEG) features are poorly described. In this study, 13 patients with FASD and epilepsy or seizures were identified retrospectively from the databases of seven Italian pediatric neurology divisions. Eleven children were affected by epilepsy, and two had at least one documented seizure. Both generalized and focal seizures were observed. EEG showed diffuse or focal epileptic activity; two children developed electric status epilepticus during sleep ( ESES). Structural brain anomalies, including polymicrogyria, nodular heterotopia, atrophy, and Arnold-Chiari type 1 malformation, were discovered in almost 50% of patients. Control of seizures was not difficult to obtain in 11 cases; one patient showed pharmacoresistant epilepsy. EEG and clinical follow-up are recommended in children with FASD and epilepsy, since severe conditions requiring aggressive treatment, such as in ESES, may develop. Neuroradiological evaluation is warranted because several types of brain anomalies could be associated with maternal alcohol consumption during pregnancy. A case report of an 83-year-old female patient diagnosed with gallstone ileus which spontaneously resolved after seven days of medical therapy with trimebutine and methylprednisolone. It states the calculi were diagnosed after computed tomography revealed her gallbladder had a cholecystocolonic fistula and was full of air bubbles. It reports after seven days she spontaneously evacuated many calculi, including one measuring around five by two centimeters.

A case study is presented of a 71-year-old woman presenting with severe lower back pain radiating to her left leg one month after she had undergone surgery to treat colon cancer. It reports that the pain was identified as stemming from metastatic cancer of the bone marrow.
