Abstract

The article discusses a study which aimed to determine the factors that affect the uptake and use of Web-based protocol systems for medical oncology in Australia. It states that medical oncology has embraced information technology in standardizing medical care to improve patient outcomes. Researchers interviewed medical oncology personnel and found that Web-based systems have important roles in guiding oncology treatment but they believed that it do not ensure uptake.
